I am not ashamed to state that I am among the many who do not believe that man is causing climate change, at least not to any degree of significance.  I believe that God knew what He was doing and knew what we would be doing when He created this orb upon which we live and the environment surrounding it.  I do not believe the Earth is as fragile as the Climate Change, Global Warming, Climate Disruption Activists are shouting.  I do not believe that the most serious threat to the world is Climate Change, certainly not of the man-made variety.  I believe there are far more serious matters facing the world, the planet, and the people living on it now. 

Former President Obama fired every scientist who disagreed with his view.  The Leftists and Activists for Climate Change openly call those of us who do not buy the company line on Global Warming, Climate Change, or whatever they are calling it these days, deniers and deem us, ignoramuses.  The matter is not settled science.   The data used is like much data used by the government and activist groups, skewed to suit their argument.  It frequently omits pertinent data that would counter or call into question their assertion or hypothesis.  They are advancing a theory not a fact and I am not sold.  Therefore, I fall into the category of being a denier, in their view.  I am most assuredly am skeptical of their research.  My views are formulated through my interpretation of the Bible and the research I have been able to conduct. 

I read an article recently by a Nobel Prize Winner who will assuredly garner the ire of the activist and be placed high on the activist’s list of enemies to be destroyed.  Nobel laureate Ivar Giaever openly rejected Mr. Obama’s and the activists’ assertions that man-made global warming is causing climate change.  I happen to agree with Mr. Giaever, you may disagree and that is your prerogative.  Mr. Giaever has been a naturalized citizen of the United States since 1964. He has been in America for more than half a century.  He was born in Norway and won the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1973.  Amazingly, he endorsed Mr. Obama in 2008 but then offered public criticism of Mr. Obama’s stance on man-made global warming and climate change.  That made him persona non grata to the Leftists.

I also agree with Mr. Giaever that global warming has its roots in two people: Al Gore and former UN Head Pachauri.  They advanced the curve to measure global warming.  In this formula, they take the average temperature of the world for an entire year measuring it to a fraction of a degree.  Let me suggest that if we consider the data from 1880 to 2015, the temperature increased from 288 K [degrees Kelvin] to 288.8 K or 0.3%. That suggests that the temperature for the past 135 years has been incredibly stable.  Isn’t that interesting?

That kind of statistical data suggests that global warming is a money-driven pursuit.  It has its roots in the agenda of the United Nations Initiatives which seeks to CONTROL people and uses this as a tool to achieve their end.  The hysteria and paranoia that our planet is on the brink of destruction and mankind on the brink of extinction due to man-made global warming are dangerous, destructive, and diabolical.  I have seen reports of murder-suicides over this issue by people becoming so deranged they cannot function believing that life, as we know it due to climate change, is over. 

Al Gore and others have become multi-millionaires due to this diatribe and hype.  I believe, as Mr. Giaever and many scientists that it is a non-issue and if we leave it alone the cyclical nature of the climate will take care of itself.  We go from hot to cold, from one extreme to the other and over time it balances out.  The recent storms in Texas and much of America reveals the cyclical nature of our weather.  We have extreme cold, extreme flooding, extreme heat, and extreme drought from year to year.  Yet, somehow the planet magically survives and thrives. Imagine that!

I would like to ask the scientist and activists who are using this issue to create hysteria, “What is the optimal temperature for the earth?”  The push to outlaw bovine flatulence and carbon dioxide emissions is beyond ludicrous, it is inane and insane.  Plants need CO2 to grow and we need plants to maintain our atmosphere.  If we could somehow stop CO2 emissions, we would destroy the planet in short order.  Is that the objective?  The objective like most things pushed by the powers that be is CONTROL not CONCERN for health and safety.

I would remind everyone that during the past 100 plus years, the temperature has only risen 0.8 degrees.   I do not believe that things have become so dire we must seek shelter to survive atmospherically.  Statistically, we live better, have better work, and better health today than 100 years ago.  Therefore, it is reasonable to say that with the 0.8-degree rise in temperatures we have not produced a negative effect.  Yet, if we listen to the alarmist, we will find ourselves paralyzed by fear and in a state of panic.  After all, if the temperature goes up another 0.8 degrees we will surely die! 

You may find my assertions repulsive and uninformed, but I find them refreshing and have renewed my confidence in God and His creation.  I have lived through winters in Texas where there were sub-zero temperatures (2021 is the most recent) and winters where it hardly reached freezing and then the cycle repeated itself.  The same with summers where the temperatures soared to well over 100 degrees and then summers so mild, we wondered if we were living in Texas and the cycle repeats itself. 

I believe that God is still in control! I am all for conservation and being good stewards of the planet, however, I do not believe it to be as fickle as the alarmist would have us believe and recognize that the political elements of this movement are about CONTROL, not CLIMATE! 

I do not trust the government or those who seek to control us through their legislative efforts and executive fiats.  I am reminded of James Madison’s article in The Federalist Papers, No. 51, published February 6, 1788.  He said: “It may be a reflection on human nature, that such devices should be necessary to control the abuses of government. But what is government itself, but the greatest of all reflections on human nature? If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself. A dependence on the people is, no doubt, the primary control on the government; but experience has taught mankind the necessity of auxiliary precautions.”

Therein is the problem, men are not angels, and those seeking to control us use fear, paranoia, and seize upon every crisis to advance their agenda and increase their power and control.  I believe in and trust God not the government.  I believe that God created a planet well capable of sustaining life until Jesus returns, and He creates the New Heaven and New Earth.  I stand on the words of Genesis 8:22, “While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, and day and night Shall not cease.”  Amplified.
