What I am going to say may infuriate some, trouble others, and get an acknowledged Amen from a few.  I believe that I see all the earmarks of America being ‘fundamentally transformed’ into a Police State, Banana Republic, and the demise of our Republic.  I pray that I am wrong, but I do not believe I am.  I believe I see the handwriting on the wall and the proof is in the pudding if we care to observe and are willing to honestly address what is going on.

Did you ever dream that you would see a wall or fence with razor wire atop it surrounding the Capitol in America?  Did you ever envision a time when there would be a virtual quarantine of the entire nation, as we have witnessed over the past year?  If you envisioned that did you envision it with almost no pushback from the populace and almost sheep-like or lemming following of the public to the edicts, directives, and orders?  Did you ever dream that we would endure that lockdown for more than a year, watch our electoral system be dismantled, and our borders eradicated?  I did not and I have seen some very dire things in my spirit over the past decade or so.

The intense hatred exhibited by the Left and some on the Right for the man Donald John Trump for over four years and continuing is beyond anything I ever dreamed I would witness in America.  The power grab by local, state, and national officials during the pandemic panic are eerily similar to those of Police State Banana Republics stripping citizens of the Freedoms they are deemed to have a right to and have enjoyed.  What I am seeing in America sends shock waves down my spine and causes me more trepidation than I can muster words to describe.  I do not live, in fear, but I am petrified for my nation!

We have witnessed riots, looting, the takeover of government facilities by BLM, ANTIFA, and other Leftist groups with nothing more than crickets from the media and the Democrats in Washington.  We have heard the calls to ‘defund the police’ and watched the incredible chaos and destruction that ensued as the police were hamstrung in the carrying out of their assigned duties.  We have watched citizens forced into facilities that almost guaranteed their deaths by Governors such as the tyrant from New York.  It is deeply troubling, and I wish I could say, the wave is past, and we are returning to normal.  We are not!  We are heading down the road of despotism and the implementation of a Police State making us another Banana Republic run by an Oligarchy or a Dictator.  America, imagine that!

If anyone dares to question the 2020 Election, they are deemed an insurrectionist, anarchist, domestic terrorist, and un-patriotic.  But the Democrat-controlled Congress can move to strip a Republican of their duly won seat in Congress because they don’t like the outcome and deem that justifiable.  We have seen the Guam national Guardsmen march to the office of Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) as a demonstration of their claim of the legitimacy of Guam as a U.S. entity.  We have witnessed the complete and rapid overturning and de-legitimizing of all Trump policies both domestic and foreign.  It is troubling!

We have a transsexual at the highest level in the Health and Human Services Department.  We have the encouragement and demand that there be a re-imaging of the police in our major cities.  We have observed the non-enforcement of our federal immigration laws and law that pertain to our national security.  We have watched as the Woke, Revisionist, PC Police, and Cancel Culture attempt to sanitize our history by taking down statues they dislike and burning history books they deem lacking the message of their woke-ness.  We have observed our educational system revamped so that nothing of our true history is taught and only the agenda of the Police State is taught.

This is not simply an attempt to change a few things and make adjustments in our history or direction. This is a war on our culture, conservatism, the constitution, on white men of European descent, and on the Christian Faith that does not embrace the new biblical interpretations of the adherents of the Woke proponents. 

Our Founders were keenly aware of the requirement of morality and reason in the pursuit of ‘Keeping the Republic’ and ensuring it did not become another Despotic Police State Banana Republic.  They are summarily dismissed by the Left as is the Constitution when it clearly restricts them.

For example, in his First Inaugural Address, George Washington made this connection quite forcefully, including a broad allusion to the Bible:

“[T]here is no truth more thoroughly established, than that there exists in the economy and course of nature, an indissoluble union between virtue and happiness, between duty and advantage, between the genuine maxims of an honest and magnanimous policy, and the solid rewards of public prosperity and felicity: Since we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven, can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained [see Proverbs 14:34]: And since the preservation of the sacred fire of liberty, and the destiny of the Republican model of Government, are justly considered as deeply, perhaps as finally staked, on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people.”

Likewise, President John Adams made this connection explicit:

“We have no Government armed with Power capable of contending with human Passions unbridled by morality and Religion. Avarice, Ambition Revenge or Gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a Whale goes through a Net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

Simply put, a Constitution for a free people, necessarily assumes they will exercise a degree of self-control that doesn’t take place in other societies.  The drift and shift away from morality, honesty, and integrity destroy the social fabric of a nation. It lends itself to disorder in everyday life.  It opens the door for sexual license, laziness, dissipations of every kind, heightened criminality, perversions, diluted respect for private property rights, and disdain for acquiring truth and knowledge.  That allows the nefarious seekers of transforming America into a Police State the path to achieving that objective.

We are facing the dangers of H.R.1 which seeks to provide the pathway to one-party control of our government and legitimized electoral fraud.  H.R.5 would legitimize the federal government’s definition of sexuality rather than science, history, biology, or the Bible.  Those two bills defy human reason and are in direct conflict with our Constitution and the Bible.  Everything is dumbed down to make the lowest level student equal with the achievers. That will translate into slothfulness in the workplace and the destruction of our Free Market System of Economics.

The time is coming when the federal government will seek to tell us what we can eat, what we can wear, what we can drive, where we can live, work, and travel.  They will seek to monitor what ministers preach to their congregations and close the doors of the violators and incarcerate the ministers who object.  You may insist that cannot happen in America because it would cause another revolution.  I say, “You are not watching what is happening.”  The dismantling of our military the federalizing of law enforcement provides the government a formidable force to quell any uprising by poorly organized citizens. 

We would need another group of leaders like George Washington, John and Sam Adams, James Madison, Thomas Paine, and Benjamin Franklin to emerge.  Do we have that?  If not, America’s days may well be numbered as the Free Constitutional Republic.  I pray that I am wrong.

What are we to do?  We are to Seek God with a Whole Heart and return to our moral moorings as a nation.  We are to Seek God with our Minds and become informed biblically, historically, and societally.  We are to Seek God with our All and invest ourselves in the fight for Freedom.  We are engaged in a war for Faith, Family, and Freedom, will you enlist?
