THE ATTAINABLE PLACE OF VICTORY…

Psalm 84:10-12 – “For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I would choose rather to dwell in the house of my God than to dwell in the tents of the wicked.11 For the LORD God is our supply and our helper; the LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.12 O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in thee.”

We know that God’s purpose is to transform us.  God desires to unite our hearts with His.  He wants to live “in” us and “through” us.  In our singleness of heart, we can ‘do’ what Jesus did and the greater works.

Many people quote that passage with little thought, hope, or expectation.   It is theory and a place they envision achieving when they get to heaven.  Is that what this means?  No, it is not!  We will not need this in heaven. The works are for Earth.

Psalm 84:10-12 is incredible.   Reading it not as a concept but as an attainable reality stirs something in us.  The indispensable value of God’s presence is revealed.  Nothing the world offers compares to God’s presence.

  • God is our sun and shield

Light or revelation (understanding) and protection.  Imagine that the Creator protects us.  Who would know better how to protect and what we needed protection from?

  • He gives grace AND glory (favor).

He does not withhold any good thing from the faithful.   He is with us in all we encounter.  He takes all things to transform us.  We are blessed if we trust (demonstrated by our lives, not just our words). I encourage you to think about what being Blessed by God means and entails.

Psalm 86:11-12 – “Teach me Your way (singular).”   The Psalmist is saying the result of that revelation will be that I Will Walk in Your Truth.   Truth is in God’s way.

I want one word to become your focus – Unite!  The Psalmists cried for God to unite his heart to fear (reverence) God’s Name!

I call your attention to the word Unite is (yachad) = make one.  It is singular.   We encountered thought that in the New Testament?  It is Double Mindedness!  The divided heart does not have God’s presence, walk in His power, or enjoy the promises in their fullness. A united heart values the presence of God and knows that transformation takes place in that presence.  The transformed will see the harvest, bind the strong man, and enforce the victory of Calvary.

We must stop being theoretical and abstract in our faith.   We must realize, value, and pursue His presence.  Our prayer should be, “Lord, open our eyes to see, our ears to hear, and our minds to comprehend.  Transform us and give us a Yachad (united, singular) heart.”

Therefore, we must determine that we will no longer straddle the fence between doubt and theoretical living.  From this day forward, decide to live your reality as an enforcer of God’s Victory at the Cross.  We are commissioned to speak and walk with authority.  We are victorious!

No ability is developed without training, practice, and application.   Step out and do not fear failure.   Your struggles are God’s fertilizer to make the fruit of your life grow.  Become what you are!  It is your time!

Today is your day to shine, so rise and shine in Jesus.  He will never leave nor forsake us!
