MY COUNTRY ‘TIS OF THEE, SWEET LAND OF LIBERTY…


The song “America” voices some thoughts that I believe should be renewed in the hearts and minds of every American citizen today.  Please allow me a moment to go through them with you:

            My country, ‘tis of thee,

            Sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing.

            land where my fathers died,

            land of the pilgrims’ pride,

            from every mountainside, let freedom ring!

Land of Liberty!  Land, where our fathers died and those coming to this new world took pride in what they could build, and our founding fathers risked everything to secure for us.  That should be shouted from every mountain, valley, and hill.  The bell of freedom has tolled for centuries and now is in danger of tolling no more!

            My native country, thee,

            Land of the noble free, thy name I love.

            I love thy rocks and rills,

            thy woods and templed hills.

            my heart with rapture thrills, like that above.

America has been a bastion of freedom and a symbol of liberty that has stirred the hearts of people worldwide to drink its waters and share in its opportunities.  Today, we are at the precipice of destruction and must renew our commitment to restoring the foundations that are beginning to be damaged.

            Let music swell the breeze,

            and ring from all the trees sweet freedom’s song.

            let mortal tongues awake.

            let all that breathe partake.

            let rocks, their silence break, the sound prolong.

Oh, to hear freedom’s song being the theme song throughout the land again.  To hear tongues awakened and all living take up the anthem and make it ring so loudly and proudly that even the rocks cry out.

            Our Father’s God, to thee,

            author of liberty, to thee we sing.

            Long may our land be bright

            with freedom’s holy light;

            protect us by thy might, great God, our King.

That is the key to our restoration in this great nation.  It was founded upon the principles of God and recognized God as the author of liberty and the hand of divine providence in guiding our leaders to secure our freedom.  They recognized that without His help and guidance, they could not succeed, nor could the nation survive.  Today, there is an assault on God, our faith, and this nation from within and without. 

Dare we do less than return to the Lord with a whole heart?  May God provide guidance and grace for America to return to her former state of greatness as “one nation under God with liberty and justice for all.”

I CAN HEAR THE FOUNDERS TURNING OVER IN THEIR GRAVES…


One can only imagine how the Founding Fathers would react if they stepped on the political scene today and saw the massive amounts of money invested in securing political office.  I am convinced they would deem it so contrary to their desire for a non-professional system of public servants called legislators and Presidents that they would weep. 

They would question, as do I, why so much money is willingly poured into securing an office that produces such a paltry amount of income compared to what is being spent.  They would logically conclude that it has to do with Power, Influence, and Control rather than Public Service and would be Irate! 

They would have much the same reaction as Jesus concerning the money changers in the Temple and John the Baptist to the Pharisees who came to him to be baptized.  They would question the motives and would likely urge the populace to clean house every term or two, sending a steady flow of fresh new blood to Washington.  They would hope to convey the message that those elected officials have a responsibility and duty to represent the people, protect and defend the United States, and honor the Constitution.

Today, Political Action Committees (PACS) and an innumerable number of special interest groups clamor for the attention of all candidates, especially those they deem likely to be elected.  They seek to create a sense of obligation or gratitude on the part of the candidate so that they will be favorable to their positions, agendas, and/or goals.  In short, they are buying politicians.  What better way to ensure that you get “inside information,” “favoritism” in negotiations, and anchor yourself and your business interests in the “good ole boy” or “cronyism” system that is prevalent in DC today?

Suppose you are fed up, as I am, with the current way of doing business in Washington, DC.  If you desire to see America restored to her core principles and values, it is time to awaken from our slumber and do our due diligence to determine which candidates are best suited to fulfill that dream.  We may have to accept lesser individuals initially, but if we stay the course, we can, in a few election cycles, convey the message that we demand a return to our constitutional roots.

  • We can convey that we demand the Constitution be followed. 
  • We demand that the rule of law be adhered to. 
  • We demand that life be given the sanctity that God gives it. 
  • We demand that there be no more career politicians in Washington or the State Houses. 
  • We demand that God be put back in our schools, our churches be allowed to worship freely as guaranteed by the Constitution, and as the Founders, the wisdom of the Bible be sought in making laws and developing policies for this nation.

It seems that the only religion that the argument of “Separation of Church & State” ever arises is regarding the Christian faith.  It seems we are the only ones the government believes are guilty of “offending” others.  Then, with an overly aggressive desire to be Politically Correct, many have been booted out of Public Schools, Public Buildings, and Public Grounds.  Too many Christians have bought the flawed argument that government must be “secular only” and the Church “dare not engage in anything political.” 

That is foreign to the Bible and the ideology and actions of the Founders and the Constitution.  The First Amendment does not mandate the separation of Church and state. It only mandates that the Federal Government Will Not be allowed to establish a National Religion and give it preferential treatment over other religions. 

I am a Christian and an American citizen, and I have a LIFE that cannot be compartmentalized into “work life, business life, social life, spiritual life, and political life.”  I am not a cat; I do not have nine lives.  I have a Life that affects everything around me, including politics.  That is why I am so driven to educate all I can and seek to see America restored.  I do it for the sake of Freedom and the Kingdom of God!

ARE WE AT WAR WITH GOD and OURSELVES?


My title may be confusing and may even cause some to sneer at the thoughts I desire to present in this blog post.  I am 100% a Constitutionalist and believe that everyone has a Constitutional and God-given right to form their own opinion and to express that peacefully and hopefully respectfully.  The fact that someone disagrees with me does not justify vilification and vitriol on my part or theirs. 

As an American citizen, a Vietnam veteran, a patriot, a Christian, and a defender of the Constitution, I believe that I have a mandate from God and my conscience to speak out when I see things that are unholy, unhealthy, and destructive.  One of the commissions I believe I have from God is to be a Watchman on the Walls and sound the alarm when danger is impending. 

That call or commission does not make me special; it only makes me obedient.  If I saw a child in danger, I would not be silent or inactive.  I would feel compelled to sound the alarm and do what I could to alleviate that danger and protect that child.  I have done that with children, animals, and people, which sometimes got me in trouble.  However, the danger of being misunderstood will not deter my desire to help people.

Are we at War with God and Ourselves?  One of the reasons I ask that question dates back to the Lyndon B. Johnson administration.  At that time, the family was strong, and there was a healthy respect for God and a willingness to allow the Bible to be a national part of our lives.  The Johnson Great Society was anything but great and has proven incredibly destructive for the family.  It promoted a myriad of things that were anti-biblical and anti-family.  The War with God took a step forward during that time.

The insanity of this administration to advance ideologies of things detrimental to strong families, moral rightness, and faith makes my question even more critical.  The influx or invasion at the southern border of those with anything but a desire for peace or tranquility is alarming.  With the many other dangers, there is the incredibly dire flow of illicit drugs, and that is translating into the loss of thousands of lives daily in America. 

The enslavement of people, especially our young, is providing the foundation for the escalation of the War with God and our Republic.  Minds that are warped and rendered incapable of rational thought but able to vote are being used as tools to destroy the fabric of our Republic, weaken the pillars of the family, and divert allegiance from God to self in epic proportions. 

The Black community was affected in the direst fashion by the 1964 Acts of Johnson’s Great Society.  The family unit before that time was reasonably strong, and two-parent families with a mother and a father were prevalent.  Today, that is almost an anomaly or an aberration.

The role of the family in shaping society by shaping lives is an inescapable reality that today’s government and ideologues are working hard to prevent.  Thus, we have the push in our public schools to allow children as young as seven or eight to determine their sexual and gender identity without parental consent.  That is beyond insane; it is diabolical.  It is not an action rooted in a desire to help those children but to transform society into the ideological view the activist desires.

The dependency and entitlement mentality that has been engendered through activism and government programs is shredding our Republic’s foundations.  Ronald Reagan said that the best social program was a job, which is in harmony with the declaration of the Apostle Paul in 2 Thessalonians 3:10.  Paul affirmed that a person who “would not” work should not be provided for.  The operative and key word is “would not” rather than “could not.”  Benovelance and any sense of godliness would demand that we care for those who “can not,” but if that “have not” is self-inflicted, we have no such obligation.

Benjamin Franklin succulently declared, “I am for doing good to the poor, but…I think the best way of doing good to the poor is not making them easy in poverty but leading or driving them out of it. I observed…that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.”

I agree with Newt Gingrich that the destruction of the family was not inevitable. It was intentional and diabolical.  It is not a small part of the effort to ‘fundamentally transform’ America into something other than the Free Constitutional Republic established by our Founders.  The Great Society inflicted incredible damage by making the poor even poorer. It forced them to become dependent upon the government dole, thereby controlling them and pushing them away from faith, family, and independence.

The new Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, has openly declared his belief in and commitment to God and the truths of the Bible.  He is being vilified by some on both sides of the political aisle for that position.  The activists and some religious leaders demand that there be nothing of God in government and thereby place us on the altar of humanism, secularism, and self.  Without God and the moral precepts of the Bible and Christianity, America would not be, and if it were, it would not be Free.  Our laws are deeply rooted in the Ten Commandments and Bible precepts.

Someone said Speaker Johnson has a vision of government that is restorative to biblical, moral, and constitutional principles.  I hope that is right.  In that declaration, it was asserted that Speaker Johnson’s purpose was to advance a government that was one of greater integrity than we have endured for decades.  He envisions a government that solves problems rather than creates them.  That is only possible when the War with God ceases, and we stop shooting ourselves in the foot with self-serving ideological agendas rather than Republic strengthening.

We need an awakening of the value of family, morality, civility, and justice.  William Blackstone, recognized as the father of modern law, believed that our legal system originated not with the American Constitution but with the Bible.  The more we allow the government to enact rules and decrees that dominate our lives and control our daily activities, the further we will drift from our origin.  We will continue to drift toward a godless society, and when you empty society of God, it is then filled with evil.  It never remains empty. 

We need to return to moral sanity, integrity, and honesty and renew a work ethic in America.  We need strong families that influence and shape young lives to become productive, law-abiding citizens, not deranged ideological lunatics.  We need the influence of the Bible, something recognized by our Founders.  If we continue on the current trajectory, we will find that our War with God and Ourselves has borne the fruit of destruction, and our Republic will be lost.

I am less concerned with anyone’s opinion of me and my view than I am about sounding the alarm and pleading with everyone to return to our moral roots and the things that enabled America to become a Republic and will enable us to continue.  I stand for Faith, Family, and Freedom.

IT MAY BE TIME TO REINTRODUCE PATRICK HENRY’S SPEECH…


I have chosen to post this and credit David Barton and Wall Builders for their research and commitment to Constitutional Liberty and the Christian Faith.  I have become so disturbed by what I see happening in the political world. I wonder if and when we will be called upon to make the kind of statements and commitment our Founding Fathers made in 1776 to bring this Nation into existence. 

What will it take for us to see a restored Constitutional Republican Democracy that they established for us?  What will it take for us to get our Republic back?  What sacrifices, commitments, and costs will be involved?  How many will be willing to pay the ultimate price for those of future generations, and how many will cede our liberty to the powers that be without any resistance?  I do not know the answers to those questions for others, but I do know them for myself.  I invite you to read this speech and let it sink into your hearts again.

No man thinks more highly than I do of the patriotism, as well as abilities, of the very worthy gentlemen who have just addressed the House. But different men often see the same subject in different lights, and, therefore, I hope it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen if, entertaining as I do opinions of a character very opposite to theirs, I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve. This is no time for ceremony. The questing before the House is one of awful moment to this country.

For my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery and, in proportion to the magnitude of the subject, ought to be the freedom of the debate. It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself guilty of treason towards my country and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings.

Mr. President, it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts. Is this the part of wise men engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty? Are we disposed to be of the number of those who, having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not [Jer. 5:21], the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation?

For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth, to know the worst, and to provide for it. I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience. I know of no way of judging of the future but by the past.

And judging by the past, I wish to know what there has been in the conduct of the British ministry for the last ten years to justify those hopes with which gentlemen have been pleased to solace themselves and the House. Is it that insidious smile with which our petition has been lately received? Trust it not, sir; it will prove a snare to your feet. Suffer not yourselves to be betrayed with a kiss [Matt. 26:48]. Ask yourselves how this gracious reception of our petition comports with those warlike preparations that cover our waters and darken our land.

Are fleets and armies necessary to a work of love and reconciliation? Have we shown ourselves so unwilling to be reconciled that force must be called in to win back our love? Let us not deceive ourselves, sir. These are the implements of war and subjugation, the last arguments to which kings resort. I ask, gentlemen, sir, what means this martial array if its purpose be not to force us to submission? Can gentlemen assign any other possible motive for it? Has Great Britain any enemy, in this quarter of the world, to call for all this accumulation of navies and armies? No, sir, she has none. They are meant for us; they can be meant for no other. They are sent over to bind and rivet upon us those chains which the British ministry have been so long forging. And what have we to oppose to them? Shall we try argument? Sir, we have been trying that for the last ten years.

Have we anything new to offer upon the subject? Nothing. We have held the subject up in every light of which it is capable, but it has been all in vain. Shall we resort to entreaty and humble supplication? What terms shall we find which have not been already exhausted? Let us not, I beseech you, sir, deceive ourselves. Sir, we have done everything that could be done to avert the storm which is now coming on.

We have petitioned; we have remonstrated; we have supplicated; we have prostrated ourselves before the throne and have implored its interposition to arrest the tyrannical hands of the ministry and Parliament. Our petitions have been slighted; our remonstrances have produced additional violence and insult; our supplications have been disregarded; and we have been spurned, with contempt, from the foot of the throne! In vain, after these things, may we indulge the fond hope of peace and reconciliation. There is no longer any room for hope.

If we wish to be free– if we mean to preserve inviolate those inestimable privileges for which we have been so long contending–if we mean not basely to abandon the noble struggle in which we have been so long engaged, and which we have pledged ourselves never to abandon until the glorious object of our contest shall be obtained–we must fight! I repeat it, sir, we must fight! An appeal to arms and to the God of hosts is all that is left us!

They tell us, sir, that we are weak, unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week or the next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot? Sir, we are not weak if we make a proper use of those means which the God of nature hath placed in our power. The millions of people, armed in the holy cause of liberty and in such a country as that which we possess, are invincible by any force which our enemy can send against us. Besides, sir, we shall not fight our battles alone.

There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations and who will raise up friends to fight our battles for us [2 Chron. 32:8]. The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone [Eccl. 9:11]; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave. Besides, sir, we have no election. If we were base enough to desire it, it is now too late to retire from the contest. There is no retreat but in submission and slavery! Our chains are forged! Their clanking may be heard on the plains of Boston! The war is inevitable–and let it come! I repeat it, sir, let it come.

It is in vain, sir, to extenuate the matter. Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace– but there is no peace [Jer. 6:14]. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle [Matt. 20:6]? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!

TOTALITARIANISM IN AMERICA?


Is it possible that America is drifting or rushing toward Totalitarianism?  The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind and the words of the Leftists in Washington and elsewhere.  If what they say accurately reflects what they desire, it is a resounding YES! 

The only question is how much will the voting public put up with?  How deceived are the masses?  How willing to be led like sheep to the slaughter are we as a nation?  Just a few years ago, I would not be asking those questions, but with the past decade or so of events, I not only ask them but am horrified by the likely answers.

As I watch the antics and actions of the national Democrats and the corporate Wokeism, I am convinced that is the endgame they have in mind.  The terms ‘fascism’ and ‘dictatorship’ are being used to silence all dissent and disagreement.  Sadly, I watch as the Republicans in Congress frequently cower in the shadows, fearing being labeled in an unappealing manner.  

I sometimes would like to use the grade school chant to them, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.”  They fear words more than actions.  They seem to be so aware of the media that they clamor for favorable reviews from sources that will never give it.  They seem to believe that if they cower in silence, the storms will pass, and all will be Utopia.  It Will Not!

The almost identical tactics and path followed by Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler are being used today by the Leftists.  It is more than a little troubling, and the incredible impotence of those in Washington who should resist is alarming.  Where have all the backbones gone?  Does anyone in Washington have a spine or a conscience?  Do we, the people, matter to any of them?  I wish I could answer favorably, but the signs do not provide that hope.

Let me offer the Wikipedia definition of totalitarianism.  I know Wikipedia is not usually a reliable source, but its definition is quite good.

“Totalitarianism is a form of government and a political system that prohibits all opposition parties, outlaws individual and group opposition to the state and its claims, and exercises an extremely high if not complete degree of control and regulation over public and private life. It employs all-encompassing campaigns in which propaganda is broadcast by state-controlled mass media in order to control the citizenry.”

That is incredibly accurate and easily understood.  The complete control and regulation that ensued during the COVID-19 Pandemic is an example of how they literally took control of our lives with almost no pushback.  That was amazing.  America has shifted from being the beacon of hope, liberty, and freedom to a politically suppressed society that is almost on life support. 

Howard Zinn, a Socialist historian, said, “Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.”  Wow!  I recall failed presidential candidate socialist Hillary Clinton saying, “We need to stand up and say we’re Americans, and we have the right to debate and disagree with any administration.”  Compare that to the actions of the Biden-Garland-Obama junta that has taken a direction in the opposite direction. 

The allegations against the Biden family are countered with indictments against Donald Trump, their political nemesis.  If questioning an election is a crime, then most all of the Democrats in Washington should be under indictment.  They question when they are not in the winner’s bracket, but no questions are allowed if they are.  Those actions smack of totalitarianism.

I do not want to get into the indictments against Trump, but I will reflect that there seems to be zero concern about the 1st Amendment or the Supreme Court precedent.  The trial will be in the court of Obama appointee U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan.  Who is she?  She is the judge who handed down harsher than recommended sentences for the January 6 defendants.  Trump’s trial will be in Washington, D.C., where 92.2% of the 2020 presidential votes went for Biden.  The jury pool will share the judge’s prejudice. Basically, he is guilty unless he can have a change of venue and somehow have an impartial jury. 

The many totalitarian actions being pursued today have caused many to believe that the American system of government is to be short-lived in its current form.  I hope they are wrong, but something has to give and change for us to survive as the Free Constitutional Republic we were established to be.

If the globalists, Marxists, Socialists, and Totalitarians get their way, the U.S. will cede its sovereign powers to the United Nations, the WHO, and other diabolical international entities.  Some freedom-minded patriots are working diligently to see a restoration of constitutional governance and reigning in the rogue federal government.  Will their efforts succeed?  Possibly, only God knows, and only time will tell.  Something has to happen.  No republic can remain free if the usurpation of the constitution is allowed to become the norm.

I agree with those who contend that our federal government, as it operates today, is operating as an extra-constitutional, illegitimate system.  States’ rights are being infringed, as are our individual rights, privileges, and liberties.  The American Constitution was not designed to eliminate the rights of the individual states but to protect them.  That is not the mindset of the modern leftists.  They are waging war on the Constitution, and most Americans are sitting in silence, watching it transpire.

If we were to magically return to the Constitution, it is estimated that 99% of the federal government would be tossed into the trash bin.  The words of James Madison in The Federalist Papers (45) resonate.

“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined.  Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite.  The former will be exercised principally on external objects, such as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce, with which, last, the power of taxation will mostly be connected.  The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State.”

Simply stated, the individual states and the American people delegated a small number of powers to the federal government.  If you research, you will discover that there are only eighteen enumerated legislative powers in Article I, Section 8.  The 9th & 10th Amendments make it extremely clear that ALL other powers remain with the states and the people. 

How did we allow this to transpire?  The answers would be too numerous and lengthy to attempt.  Suffice it to say that we slept while the political elitists stripped us of our Constitutional Rights and governance.  We are being destroyed from within, as our founders warned. 

We have a Constitution and a System of Government that would provide us with a Republic. Still, the politicians have ignored it for so long; they know the public has neither the information nor the aspiration to truly reign them in.  They are, in their minds, our overlords.  God help us to wake up!

COEXIST WITH EVIL?


I am unashamedly a Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ, an American patriot, a Vietnam veteran, a Constitutionalist, and a defender of Faith, Family, and Freedom.  I will, without hesitation, call evil what it is, EVIL.  What I am watching today on the world scene and in America causes me deep sorrow of heart and disappointment.  We are a chaotic world, heading for trouble like never before witnessed in our history.

In my studies of the Bible, humanity, and history, I have become convinced that it is IMPOSSIBLE to coexist with evil.  Evil cannot be transformed into good via legislation or governmental mandates.  Evil cannot be transformed into good by appeasement, hoping to insatiable demands it makes.  Evil must be recognized for what it is and combated by every legitimate means, or it spreads like cancer and destroys.

The apostle Paul declared in 2 Corinthians 6:14 – “Do not be unequally bound together with unbelievers [do not make mismatched alliances with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership can righteousness have with lawlessness? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?” (Amplified Bible) That is a truth that is universal and unchanging.

The struggle in the Middle East is not a new phenomenon and will not be solved via man’s efforts.  This stems from hatred that dates back millenniums.   Some of those engaged in the modern struggle do not know why they hate; it is generational and has been ingrained in their psyche to the point it is who they are, not just what they believe or prefer.

The Bible gives us an understanding of what is happening and why it is happening, but many reject the biblical account as antiquated mythology and pigeonhole it as religious rhetoric.  In Genesis 15:16, God told Abraham that his heirs would not possess the land until the iniquity of the Amorites was complete.  The land was given to the Hebrews by God, and from that time to now, the inhabitants of the Middle East have exhibited an ingrained hate for the Jews.

Just because someone does not believe like we believe does not mean we are obligated to exterminate them and remove all their remembrance from history.  In our world, we live in neighborhoods and cities with an array of ideological and religious views.  If we allow hate to prevail and decide that obliterating everyone not believing or acting like us is the moral objective, we will find a condition of self-extermination prevalent.  The only possible result is chaos, confusion, conflict, and war.  That will make our lives a literal Hell on Earth.

In the Middle East, the followers of what some call ‘Radical Islam’ have vowed to push the Jewish people occupying the Land of Israel into the sea and exterminate them.  They have no desire for peaceful coexistence.  That leaves Israel with no choice if they hope to survive. They must defend themselves. 

In the most recent Hamas terrorism, they have demonstrated the depth of evil in their hearts.  In the past, Israel has attempted to deal with their neighbors peacefully, with treaties and agreements that their neighbors violated.  The continual threat of attack forces every Israeli citizen to be prepared for war at all times and to work with one hand on the plow and the other on their sword.  That is a terrible way to live.

The claim that Hamas has taken the Moral High Ground is beyond ludicrous.  What moral and rational person would behead babies?  What moral person would find it acceptable and commendable to rape women in the presence of bloody body parts of their babies?  That is not civilized. It is beyond barbaric, and I call it demonic!  It is sub-human and demonstrates the absence of a moral conscience.  It is abhorrent and cannot be praised!

Hamas and groups like them have no desire for a peaceful coexistence. They have no desire for a two-state solution as has repeatedly been called for.  They have been offered a separate state of Palestine and rejected it each time.  The followers of their brand of Islam have made it blatantly clear that they will accept nothing short of the total extermination of Israel and all the Jewish people.   That makes coexistence impossible.

That brings me to the United States of America and the demand by the Left for tolerance of anti-biblical, anti-American, and anti-constitutional ideologies.  How can we do that?  Many of the followers of those views, like Hamas, want to obliterate those of us who do not adopt their ideological beliefs.  They believe their anger, hate, and violence are justified and we are infidels.  I say infidels because their ideologies have become religions to them, and any failure to bow at the altar of their god is deemed heretical and worthy of death.

Those who hate Israel and chant “Death to Israel” also chant “Death to America.”  They call Israel the Little Satan and America the Big Satan.  They do not desire to coexist with them or us; they want to eradicate us from the planet.  Yet, we watch government officials attempt to appease them, ignoring their heinous atrocities and crimes.  They watch as Americans are placed in harm’s way and slaughtered with little or no response.  That is beyond tragic and is revelatory of the condition of our present world. 

The open border has allowed the influx of thousands of men from Islamic nations to enter unvetted and unhindered.  What have they brought with them?  What is taking place is networks are being assembled.  What is the intent and desire of those individuals making their way into the United States?  Our intelligence is aware that many of them have ties to terrorist organizations, and some have actively participated in acts of violence.  Why would we allow this?

Is the misguided belief that we can somehow coexist with and appease evil the driving force behind what our government is doing?  Not only in allowing the massive influx of unvetted illegals but in providing funds and support for organizations and nations that desire our destruction.  The U.S. Border Patrol has reported that in the past two years, they have encountered 72,823 “special interest aliens.”

What and who are “special interest aliens?”  They are largely ‘military-age’ males from Muslim nations in the Middle East.  One has to ask, “How many were not encountered and entered without notice?”    The followers of the Koran believe it is their mandate to press everyone who is not a follower of Islam into dhimmitude. 

What is the answer to today’s evil, hatred, and violence?  For me, there is only one Answer – Jesus Christ!  It is God!  John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in Him, will not perish, but have eternal life.”   1 John 4:20 is revelatory – “If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and yet hates his brother or sister, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother or sister whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.”

When will there be genuine Peace on Earth?  When Jesus sets up His Kingdom. When the devil can no longer influence and persuade people to do evil.  In the eternal ages and not until then.   We may make treaties, pacts, and agreements and form temporary alliances, but until the Heart of Man is transformed, evil will exist, and good and evil cannot coexist; evil will not allow it.

America, I pray that we will awaken and realize that the pathway many have chosen to take is the road to destruction, not restoration or preservation.  I pray that we will adopt the directive of 2 Chronicles 7:14 and genuinely return to God’s moral moorings as a nation and individuals.  Hate is destructive and deadly. Hatred will never allow peace.  If we want to be and remain the Free Constitutional Republic established in 1776, we must reject evil and embrace good, which is only found in God.

HERE ARE SOME TRUTHS THAT CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE – – (Number Four)


1 John 4:15-19 – “Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17 By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. 19 We love, because He first loved us.” NASB

In these few verses, there are several life-changing truths that I want to highlight and discuss briefly:

  • The Way to God – – “Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.”
  • God Is Love – – “We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us.  God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.”
  • As He “is,” So Are We IN THIS WORLD – – “By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.”
  • Love Defeats Fear – – “There is no fear in love, but perfect love cast out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.”
  • God’s Love Draws Us to Him – – “We love because He loved us.”  The New King James says it better – “We love Him because He first loved us.”

Today, we will consider number four – “Love Defeats Fear.”

Consider what the passage says: “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts our fear; because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.” 

First, we know that God IS Love; therefore, fear cannot reside in God, and God lives in us.  That means that fear cannot reside in us if we allow God to live “in” us and “through” us.  David said in Psalm 56:3 – “Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.” NKJV

 Isaiah declared it a little differently in Isaiah 12:2 – “Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; ‘For YAH, the LORD is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation.’ NKJV David said when fear comes, “I will trust You, Lord.”  Isaiah said, “I will trust and not be afraid.”  With David, it is as we are most of the time – “Fear then trust.”  With Isaiah, the call was to “Trust and not fear.”

God’s love “banishes” fear, for it is a foreign element in the Kingdom of God!  If God is the ALMIGHTY, then what is there to fear?  If the devil somehow manages to “kill us,” what has he done?  Nothing; we are then translated into our “new bodies” and enter into the presence of the Lord.  If we somehow lose everything we possess here on earth, did God not feed the Children of Israel for 40 years in the wilderness and Elijah with the Ravens and the 5,000 and the 4,000 in miraculous fashion?  God is our source, not man, government, local church, or denomination.  God! 

Punishment is gone from our lives in the sense that we will not face eternal punishment because we are “walking with the Lord,” “covered with the Blood of Jesus,” and have our “sins forgiven.”  So, what is it that we are to fear?  If we allow fear to place, it indicates that we need to work on our “view” of God and our “relationship” with Him. Indeed, we can “trust” Him, and if we can “trust” Him, then if God is for us, what difference does it make who is against us?

May the Lord be with you and banish all fear from your life.  Tomorrow, we will consider the last of the five – “God’s Love Draws Us to Him.”

WE ARE IN CRISIS IN AMERICA…


Friends and acquaintances sometimes tell me I am overreacting to what is happening politically in America.  They insist that everything political is cyclical, and if I wait, things will go back to the Right, and all will be good again.  I wish I could believe that, but I do not.

I readily acknowledge that that seems to have been the case in times past.  However, as I review history, I am convinced that rather than simply being a political pendulum swing, it is an orchestrated effort to destroy this nation and bring globalism into power.  It started over a century ago, and the slow, incremental, and veiled infringements of our rights and liberties are now open and rapid.  It is a fundamental transformation on steroids!

There have been warning signs that most ignored for decades.  There were voices sounding the alarm, and most warnings were dismissed as conspiracies or illusional fear.  One example would be Ayn Rand’s ‘Atlas Shrugged.’  She predicted that ‘rotten ideas’ would create ‘rotten outcomes and social upheaval.’  She was right, but she was not the only prognosticator of such dire times; most ignored them.

Today, we have front-row seats to the devastation of the WOKE, Cancel Culture destruction, and havoc.  It would be difficult to argue that the foundational pillars of our Republic have not and are not being weakened.  They are being damaged by the incessant push of the Leftists to force us into compliance with the inane and insane political correctness of today.

Ayn Rand rightly suggested that the government would infringe on parental rights, stifle academic and scientific research, and fuel a dangerous mentality of victimhood.  She nailed that with amazing accuracy.  Ideas generate outcomes, and if the ideas are flawed, the outcomes will be.  If the ideas are sinister and dangerous, the outcomes will produce the fruit of those ideas.

Culture, society, and politics are all shaped by philosophy, and Rand observed the philosophical trends of the 40s and 50s and sounded the alarm.  Sadly, we did not take her warnings seriously enough.  Ayn Rand was only twelve when the Marxist revolution gained prominence and power in Russia. She immigrated to the United States at the age of twenty-one and was the key founder of the philosophy of objectivism.

When a nation allows a centralized educational bureaucracy to control local education, there is a quantifiable decline in education.  One of our glaring mistakes was that once the Department of Education was created in 1979, we allowed the NEA to mandate what and how vital aspects of history were taught.  The move was on to reshape the ideological views of our children and transform them into Leftists.  That has transpired to our detriment as a republic.

When any nation allows the government to infringe upon parental rights and authority, it is a short step from there to tyranny.  I agree with Rand’s declaration, “The government has no right to interfere in the upbringing of a child, which is entirely the responsibility and the right of the parents.”  

As a Christian, I believe God gave the responsibility of training the children to the parents.  It is okay to embrace public education so long as it does not usurp parental rights or divert the child from the truth.  The current silencing of all dissent by parents and the objections over curriculum is an outward expression of the view that we all belong to the government.  WE DO NOT!

It is abhorrent for school boards, legislators, judges, or anyone else to pass edicts or laws that prevent parents from participating in life-altering medical decisions regarding gender or anything else.  The argument that 18–22-year-old students who took out massive student loans are not emotionally mature enough to know what they have done, but 6-9-year-old children are capable of determining their desired or true gender is insane.

Our laws insist that before the age of twenty-one, a person is not mature enough to buy alcohol or smoke tobacco products.  Yet, some believe that a pre-teen child should be allowed to decide to have sex-change procedures because they believe they are misgendered.  That is beyond illogical and idiotic.  God did not make a mistake, and the horror stories of many who have opted for those procedures and later have deep remorse and even become suicidal are disturbing.

We live in a world where being a victim is promoted as a badge of honor rather than seeking to help them become free of that mindset and live productive lives.  We have drifted from the reality that life is not always fair and there will always be disparities.  We have morphed from the idea of working for success to demanding that the playing field be level and everyone share equally regardless of ability or effort.  That is beyond illogical and is dangerous and damaging to those imprisoned in the mentality of ‘victimhood.’

When the government becomes a behemoth and gains sufficient power, it stifles all freedoms, including intellectual freedom.  When the government controls the research, the truth becomes obscure, and promoting ideological theories and agendas becomes the norm.  During the COVID-19 pandemic, we were forced to accept censorship and isolation; both were detrimental to intellectual advancement in education and science.  It damaged interpersonal relationships as well.

In America, one of the things that has enabled this nation to become a great nation can be tied to the Free-Market Capitalism that we have embraced and enjoyed.  The American Dream was only possible as people were allowed to pursue their dreams and reap the blessings of their labors without impediment from the government.  Today, we have a cancel culture seeking to destroy that economic pathway and replace it with Socialism or Marxism.

Ayn Rand contended that politicians and many citizens would become paralyzed by the profound conflict between capitalism and the moral code that dominates our culture, the morality of altruism.  We have witnessed the incredible power of altruism, the misguided belief that the government can provide happiness.  We are reaping the harvest of that flawed philosophy and the delusional ideology taught in public education and through various activism sources.

Altruism holds that man has no right to exist for his own sake and that service to others is the only justification for his existence.  It teaches that self-sacrifice is mankind’s highest moral duty, virtue, and value.  (Unless God is the core, any philosophy becomes flawed).  The Bible teaches us to care for others and to allow love to be the driving and defining factor and force in our lives. 

But it also teaches the precept and concept of working, producing, and providing for our own.  It teaches that out of what we produce, we consider the less fortunate, not that we become a collective and allow a parasitic mindset of victimhood to destroy initiative.  It teaches that if one WILL NOT WORK, they should not be provided food.  The operative word is WILL NOT rather than COULD NOT!

Those in the condition of “could not” are the ones we are to extend our benevolence.  America became a great nation for many reasons: a willingness to work and pursue dreams was a part of that success.  We are allowing destructive ideological agendas to steal our nation and force us into life under despotism.  We must not surrender without a fight!

Let us unite and fight for Faith, Family, and Freedom.  Let us unite to keep America the Land of the Free!  Let us unite and evict all politicians and bureaucrats who seek to destroy our republic and infringe upon our inalienable rights.

HELLO, AMERICA, WE ARE IN TROUBLE; WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?


I could adopt the attitude that no action is necessary because God is Sovereign and controls all things. I do believe that God is Sovereign! That being said, I also believe that God expects us to“do what is right” in every area of life, including the political. If I were to sit idly by and watch America, a nation founded on principles so friendly to individual liberties and the teachings of Scripture, I would feel I had betrayed God’s trust.

Throughout history, we have records of nation after nation attempting to ensure the “inalienable rights” God has given everyone. Repeatedly, those nations fell prey to power-hungry, ambitious people who plunged them into tyranny. A quote from George Santayana is applicable, “Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” That defines my passion to see as many people as possible informed regarding our government, true history, and the perils of continuing on the path that restricts, limits, and even abolishes our freedoms.

We live in a Free Society, and all Free Societies seek to establish governments designed to protect the rights of individuals, especially the inalienable rights of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” James Madison was right when he declared, “If men were angels, no government would be necessary.” 

Sadly, we are not, and some government is necessary; otherwise, we would have total anarchy, and none of us want that. History is replete with examples of how governments restricted or disallowed private ownership of land, redistributed wealth, and censored speech and expression. Each resulted in the collapse of that nation’s economy, the loss of freedom, and ultimately, the end of that nation as a Free Society!

The permanent professional political class has demonstrated a uniform desire to grow government regardless of party. Why? Because it perpetuates their way of life and gives them an incredible amount of power, frequently increasing their personal wealth. When government expands to the point of controlling the lives of every individual directly or indirectly by deciding what we eat, what we drive, where we live, work, and how much we can earn or keep of those earnings, it is out of control. 

I believe that this is a time when the public must take whatever measures are necessary to rein in and reduce its size of government to a manageable and constitutional level. We know from history that there is a point of no return in supporting an endless number of so-called good causes. 

History has demonstrated that when any society follows that path, it becomes collectivist and then tyrannical.  Upton Sinclair, the author of “The Jungle,” a socialist, and founder of the consumer protection movement, wrote to six-time presidential candidate Norman Thomas of the Socialist Party of America in 1951: “The American People will take Socialism, but they won’t take the label… Running on the Socialist ticket, I got 60,000 votes, and running on the slogan to “End Poverty in California,” I got 879,000… There is no use attacking it by a frontal attack; it is much better to out-flank them.”  We have realized how true those words are in the past few decades.

In Ancient Greece, Polybius said, “Democracy in its turn is abolished and changes into a rule of force and violence as the people grow more accustomed to feed at the expense of others and to depend for their livelihood on the property of others.” The U.S. Government began a deep downward spiral under Barack Obama and is growing exponentially under Joe Biden.  They have pushed us toward becoming a welfare society with complete dependence on the Federal Government for our livelihood.

The Democrats continue that agenda, and it is on steroids under Biden.  They call rights things that are not rights, such as “the right to high-quality education, the right to free or affordable health care and housing, etc.” They promise to provide those things, telling us it will reduce the overall cost. Yet, anyone in their right mind and with an elementary knowledge of economics knows that the exact opposite is true.

If you study Ancient Greece, you find interesting clues as to this country’s fate. Aristotle described the characteristics of a tyrant and speaks so profoundly to our current situation that it is frightening. He said, “Another mark of a tyrant is that he likes foreigners better than citizens, and lives with them and invites them to his table; for the one are enemies, but the others enter into no rivalry with him.” 

Additionally, “From democracy tyrants have borrowed the art of making war upon the notables and destroying them secretly or openly or exiling them because they are rivals and stand in the way of their power; and also, because plots against them are contrived by men of this class, who either want to rule or to escape subjection.” Does that sound familiar? The use of class warfare is a perfect example. 

Today, we see politicians using class envy, race, gender, sexual preference, and a host of other things as tools to divide people and enlarge their support bases. Frequently, they tell one group one thing and another something dramatically different. It is disturbing that if the mass media supports those candidates and their ideologies, they can commit those inconsistencies with impunity. On the other hand, their opponents are doing the same face vilification as vile, evil, and mean-spirited liars. 

Aristotle also taught that a tyrant maintains power in three distinct ways:

  • Humiliation of his subjects. (Wow, is that ever-present today!)
  • Creating mistrust among and between people. (Divide and conqueror.)
  • By Relegating his subjects to a status where they are incapable of resisting. (Does making one totally dependent on the government for their livelihood fall into this category? Would disarming the citizens meet this qualification?)

The history of Ancient Rome also gives us clear warning signs. Yet, for decades, we have chosen to ignore those warnings. Julius Caesar was a skilled politician and orator. To gain the support of the masses, especially the poor, he promised to distribute food and money to them. He would become their source by providing the things they needed to live. He planned to“redistribute the wealth,” creating class warfare against those who had become affluent and prosperous through ingenuity and work.

The Roman Empire fell, among other reasons, due to their increasing “tax burden, confiscation of wealth, devaluation of the currency, attempts to control prices, and regulate virtually every dimension of business and personal life.” Once the rich had either fled or been destroyed, the burden to feed the government’s insatiable hunger and this tyrant fell upon the poor who could not satisfy the demands, thus destroying the Empire.

Ancient Israel had one of the most efficient systems known to man. Most of the Western world’s legal and moral code comes from the Judeo-Christian philosophy, values, and beliefs. They operated with extremely limited government per se and yet had an incredible system of checks and balances. 

Their laws supremely protected private property.  This has been a cornerstone in every free society. Our founders understood that this was a critical right whose defense was paramount. Israel’s tax system remained constant for over four hundred years. Somebody explain that to the political class in Washington!

Winston Churchill said of Russia and their system of government, “It is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma.” The Soviet Union that emerged advocated for totalitarianism, Marxist socialism, or communism. Their system is another of a long list of proven failures. Alexis de Tocqueville said in 1848, “Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.” 

Winston Churchill characterized it in this manner, “The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings. The inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.” Today, we have lunatics and tyrants such as Hugo Chavez, whose outlandish statements such as the following are beyond comprehension, “I am a socialist, and I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, who was the first socialist, just as Judas was the first capitalist.”

I do not have time to go into the many other countries which followed the path to totalitarianism and tyranny, such as Italy or Germany under the Nazis and Hitler. Hitler was frequently lauded by well-meaning people and usurpers of power that he was a god. Eventually, he believed it himself.

He envisioned himself as a savior of a “super race” and believed his ideology was the only acceptable approach. That reminds me of many in Washington today.  They envision themselves as gods. The ultimate demise of Italy’s Fascist Government was partly fueled by their efforts to support the economy through increased spending and continually expanding the public works programs. This only increased the deficit, making it unsustainable, resulting in the nation’s economy and political system crumbling.

That brings me to the United States today.   Our founders intended to create a system that encouraged “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” They hoped to promote freedom, national stability, and unrestrained free enterprise. Their vision held that this would result in America becoming the world’s greatest economy and military superpower, spreading liberty and freedom across the globe.

Politicians, in their quest for power, have sought to grow a much larger and centralized government. This action has transformed the representative government envisioned by the founders into a vast interventionist organism that seeks to control every aspect of people’s lives. Who is to blame? WE ARE! We allowed it to happen. 

Thomas Jefferson said, “It is the people who are the ultimate guardians of their own liberty.” Alexander Hamilton said, “We are now forming a republican government. Real liberty is neither found in despotism, nor in the extremes of democracy, but in moderate governments.” John Locke said it most eloquently as he identified the government’s role as protecting the “natural rights of life, liberty, and estate.” 

In Federalist No. 47, James Madison warned, “The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many, and whether hereditary, self-appointed, or elective may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.” How we need to heed that warning in today’s America! The use of federal agencies and courts and circumventing the Constitution frequently by the Left meets this definition. 

The Left’s determined desire is to implement the ideology of despotism, and they seek to bypass the Constitution, which was designed and defined by a system of “checks and balances.”  They do so unapologetically, and if we allow them to continue in power, we will discover that they become more emboldened with each election. In that state of boldness, they demonstrate their total disregard for the will or welfare of the American people.

So, what do we do? For me, there are several things that I MUST do!

  • Engage in intercessory prayer for the nation, the leaders, and the people. In my view, this is the first order of business, but I understand that the order may differ for others.
  • Diligently work through writing, speaking, praying, and working to convince as many as possible of the dangers inherent in the current path.
  • Attempt to expose the falsehoods told to the American people by this Administration and the left.
  • Attempt to articulate the Constitutional ideology the founders clearly defined in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and their numerous writings, papers, and books.
  • Contribute and seek to raise funds for those candidates whom I believe most nearly embody the principles of liberty that God and the founders envisioned.
  • Go to the polls, exercise my rights, privilege, and duty, and vote.  I believe that if I do not vote, I am voting by abstention to continue the current path.

This is a brief synopsis of where we are today, although not a short post. I hope that as you take the time to read this, you will find inspiration to join the effort to get the message out in support of freedom and liberty!

WE MUST INFORM OURSELVES THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT…


I do not want to open the proverbial can of worms and release so many potential scenarios so as to distract from my questions. Rather I suggest that it is up to each of us to become informed about things political and governmental.  The government not only will not inform us of the truth, but they may also not know it, and if they do, they would prefer we did not.  If we are ignorant of the Constitution’s actual provisions or the limitations imposed upon the government, those in power will abuse their offices. 

The Supreme Court has, in the past, and will in the future, make rulings they do not have the Constitutional power to decide.  The usurpation of authority is not new and will continue until and unless we are both informed and unified sufficiently to demand Congress follow the Constitution.

The Supreme Court is likely to, once again, give itself the authority to rewrite the Second Amendment.  They may not rule against the citizen’s rights, but each time, there is the danger that the SCOTUS will decide that an inalienable right is a governmental right and reduce or remove it.  If that happens, our republic will be in deep trouble.

I believe, as do others far more informed than I, that the Second Amendment was placed in the Constitution for the express purpose of preventing the federal government from tapering with our inalienable right to ‘keep and bear arms.’  The amendment had nothing to do with hunting but was primarily designed to provide citizens with a means of self-defense, even against the government.

The ruling of the Supreme Court will likely be a 5-4 decision, and with the swing votes on the court, who knows how the questionable jurists will rule?  The Leftists will stand in a bloc, but what will Roberts and others who are supposedly conservative do?  I am always concerned when the court ventures into areas they have no authority.

However, if they rule against our inalienable right to keep and bear arms, even in limited situations, the vast majority of the populace will accept it as “the law” and comply.  That fits the definition and condition of tyranny.  Someone said, “There is no tyranny without obedience to the tyrant.”  I believe that our ignorance regarding the actual wording of the Constitution is more powerful than tyrannical force. 

I read a quote from Dr. Richard Price, a Welsh minister and friend of the Founding Fathers, and it succulently addressed the issue and need.  He said, “Give them (the people) just ideas of civil government and let them know that it is an expedient for gaining protection against injury and defending their rights, and it will be possible for them to submit to governments which, like most of those now in the word, are usurpations on the rights of men, and little better than contrivances for enabling the few to oppress the many.  Ignorance is the parent of bigotry, intolerance, persecution, and slavery.  Inform and instruct mankind; these evils will be excluded.”

Our Founding Fathers embraced the idea that tyrannical government was evil and that ignorance was the doorway through which it could enter.  Thomas Jefferson wrote to Charles Yancey in 1816 – “If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what has never been and never will be.”  Ignorance may be bliss to some, but to those desiring to control the masses, it is a weapon and a tool.

James Madison argued, “The advancement and diffusion of knowledge is the only guardian of liberty.”  The government will not openly and honestly tell the public what the Constitution allows, even if they know.  Most of those in government continually look for loopholes to infringe upon our liberties and advance their agendas.  We will not be sufficiently armed to combat those usurpations unless we are informed.

The Constitution provides for three branches of government, and each branch has limitations and responsibilities clearly defined in the document.  There is no provision for the Supreme Court to legislate from the bench.  It is a very valuable arm of our government, but like the other branches, it weakens our pillars of freedom if it goes beyond its legitimate authority.

We have been apprised of the incredible overreach of the Biden administration in censorship, using social media and Big Tech to silence all dissent to their agenda.  Judge Terry Doughtry detailed the government’s manipulation of social media in a 155-page memorandum.  If you read it, you will be astounded at what transpired and is, in many ways, still transpiring. 

This censorship was not limited to one or two agencies but was a tool used by virtually every governmental agency.  Judge Doughty said the actions were “almost dystopian.”  It is Orwellian and incredibly dangerous. At the same time, I would never argue that there are no situations where the government has not only a right but a duty to monitor posts; silencing opposition does not fall within those narrow windows.

If there are posts involving criminal activities or criminal conspiracies, they should be reported.  If there are national security threats, we need to know.  If there are attempts to encourage voter fraud, it needs to be exposed.  There are some legitimate things to be monitored, but opinion is not one of them.  Our First Amendment Right is to be allowed. We must recognize the right to think what we choose, say what we believe, and live our lives unencumbered by an overreaching and overcontrolling government. 

I am convinced that if we want to understand the Leftist ideology and agenda, we need to understand Marxism.  I have been told to pursue logic, and I would understand, but sometimes, that only leads to confusion.  Sometimes, things are so illogical that we become overwhelmed in our pursuit of logic.  The only way to know and understand what is happening today is to recognize and identify the ideology upon which it is established. 

Remember the co-founder of BLM, Patrisse Collars, admission, or declaration?  She said the leaders of the movement were “all trained Marxists.”  Sadly, too many paid no attention and failed to connect the dots because of the fear of being labeled insensitive or racist.  Marxism, at its core, is a view of a world divided into two groups: the oppressors and the oppressed. 

The Frankfurt School, established in the 1920s, is the key to understanding how Marxism is being used today.  The advancement of the idea of ‘critical theory’ was defined in the work of Max Horkheimer, “Traditional and Critical Theory,” published in 1937.  It expanded Marx’s idea of the “superstructure.”  The superstructure comprises everything influencing our “modes of thought and views of life.”  Indoctrination is slanted to achieve a particular end.

The modern leftist movement has expanded critical theory beyond simply analyzing the bourgeoisie and the proletariat and morphed into numerous causes and power struggles.  We see evidence of that in sexual preference, abortion, gender identity, etc.  It tries to explain all disparate outcomes between the oppressor/oppressed groups.  It equates any unequal outcomes to institutions, not individuals.  It is designed to destroy a free republic and transform it into one controlled by the beneficent dictatory who will make all things equal and fair.

America, if we do not do our due diligence and educate ourselves, we will fall prey to the diabolical and become deceived by the duplicitous diatribe and rhetoric being advanced.  Sadly, many following various causes do not know the end game; they only seek what they desire and perceive as equitable.  They, too, will suffer if this is allowed to thrive and survive. 

We must return to moral, social, political, and fiscal sanity, or we will see the Republic shredded and transformed into totalitarianism.
