THE QUESTIONS ARE: CAN WE AND HOW DO WE SAVE THE REPUBLIC?


I readily acknowledge several possible ways to achieve the goal, some of which I do not endorse at this time.  I want to take the most peaceful and legal means possible to save and restore the Constitutional Republic called the United States of America.  I want to see it function within the bounds, limits, and guidelines of the American Constitution, not the United Nations Charter.  I want America back and lay blame at the feet of both parties in a very large measure.

I believe the politicians have ‘stolen’ our Republic from us for their own political purposes and agendas.  I believe that their quest and thirst for power, in the name of helping the people, has resulted in the complete shredding of the American Constitution to the point that it is no longer working as it was designed.  The courts have aided in this travesty.  The Executive and Legislative Branches have been major culprits in this assault on our American Constitution and, thereby, the Republic our Founding Fathers established and handed down to us. 

How do we SAVE the republic?  That is a most interesting question and one that requires a significant amount of thought and weighing options to come to a definitive answer.  Another question might be, can we save the republic?  That depends on where we turn for our solution to the problem.

Congress is not the answer, so where do we turn?  Mark Levin and others have hit on what may well be the only hope we have of saving the Republic.  I see their idea as possible but fraught with inherent danger. But, for the sake of argument, let me present their idea.

Mr. Levin bases his argument on Article V of the American Constitution. He proposes that we seek to get two-thirds of the State Legislatures to call for a Convention to Propose Amendments to the United States Constitution.  The proposed amendments would then have to be ratified by three-fourths of the states to become valid. 

I agree that we cannot depend on the U.S. Congress, President, or Supreme Court to restore the Constitution, so the individual states are possibly our only hope.  Are there enough State Legislatures willing to adopt this idea?  I do not know, as we have failed in previous attempts.

I hope that in a very short time, enough people will see this President’s lawlessness and the perpetual dangers that, if not stopped, could lead to a Tyrannical State.  If that happens, then we might get something done peacefully and legally.  We can hope!

People, not politicians, will ultimately be the answer.  It is only as the people within the nation rise up in sufficient numbers, either electing or sending fear into the hearts of elected officials, to cause them to respond.  That is an easier accomplishment on a state level than a national one. 

The State Legislators are frequently more attuned to the people’s wishes and more likely to respond to pressure than National Legislators.  There is an infectious disregard for our wishes on the Washington scene, so those in Congress seem to be inoculated, isolated, and insolated with regard to our voices and desires.  That has to change, and the only way it will change is by taking drastic steps to amend the present Constitution and restore power to the States and, thereby, the people.

We desire a republic, not a tyrannical, despotic regime.  The only way we can have that is to take power from them.  I do not just identify Democrats in that statement but Republicans and Independents in Washington as well.  They have and are virtually all guilty of destroying our Constitutional Republic and should be held accountable and stripped of their power ASAP.

It will be God, not man, who ultimately determines if we will have a Republic and keep it or lose the nation.  Therefore, I believe we should work as if everything depended on us and pray as if (and it does) depend on God. 

I have for some time been committed to intercession for the nation.  In doing that, I pray for the leaders that God will guide their decisions, touch their hearts, and bring them to the light of right and truth!  I do not pray for the success of agendas clearly outside the scope of Scripture or not in the best interest of the American Republic and its people.  I cannot do that!  I must speak up, speak out, stand up, and stand firm in hopes of seeing the Republic restored to its Constitutional mode of operation.

I suggest that each one research the possible avenues to save the Republic.  If you believe one is viable, your elected State Representative, Senator, and all other State officials who might be an aide in attempting to save the Republic.  I, like you, want to see our Republic saved and our Constitution honored and followed.  We may not agree on how to accomplish that, but hopefully agree on that objective.

NOW IS THE TIME TO AWAKEN AMERICA!


No, I am not advocating that we all join the WOKE movement, but that we wake up, face reality and the facts, and determine that it is high time we did something to rectify this situation in America.  The how and when may be an issue, but hopefully, we can all agree that Now is the Time!

In some scenarios, having a short memory is an asset and even a godly trait, but in many areas, it is detrimental.  Someone said, “The worst part of short memories is, not only are those who possess the same are typically unaware of the shortcoming, but this shortcoming makes them easy to distract.”  That is a lot to chew on, but it contains some succulent tidbits.

I love history and have a reasonably long memory.  I have studied human behavior for several decades and can remember when politicians and media outlets attempted to violate the American people’s rights and freedoms as enemies of freedom. 

Sadly, today, the nefarious political elitists and adherents to various ideologies are doing just that with amazing impunity.  Often with a ‘ho-hum’ from the public and frequently relegating it to “That’s what politicians do.”  Seriously?  Are we willing to allow them to do what they stereotypically do simply because they stereotypically do it?  I cannot accept that.  Freedom is too valuable!

We are inundated with so much false information or misinformation that it is difficult to decipher the truth.  Many voices clamoring for our attention today mix an element of truth in their pile of lies and present it as the absolute truth not to be questioned.  I have concluded that any candidate that both sides of the political aisle devotedly seek to destroy might be worthy of our consideration.  We know the elitist political establishment is not our friend, so if they have enmity toward a candidate, I will carefully consider that candidate.

I read an interesting article about the Associate Press question: “What is the first word that comes to mind when you hear Joe Biden?”  Like some previous administrations, this one is invested in ‘optics.’ Nothing good comes to mind.  I saw words such as outdated, senile, dementia, diabolical, crazy, tyrannical, and deviant used to answer the question.  I considered the first word that came to my mind when I heard him.  Some of the most prominent are corrupt, sexual deviant, evil, and lost filled my consciousness. 

The AP poll listed Old/Outdated/Retire/Elderly/Aging/Senile/Dementia as taking the top spot.  The second place went to Slow/Confused/idiot/Ignorant/Sleepy/Gaffe/Bumbling.  The third spot was Generally Negative (bad/terrible/disappointing/joke/profanity.)  Most view him negatively, but he is occupying the Oval Office and wreaking havoc on our system of government, economy, and lives.

We have information released by the National Archives (NARA) that they possess about 5,400 emails and records linked to President Joe Biden’s email aliases.  He has used, “Robert Peters,” Robin Ware,” and “JRB Ware.”  Those were used to share government information and discuss business with Hunter Biden and associates.  Imagine that!  But he knew and knew nothing of Hunter’s deals there, right?  Yeah, the moon is made of green cheese, and the unicorns and flying pigs in my backyard eat from it daily.

The Southeastern Legal Foundation said, “All too often, public officials abuse their power by using it for personal or political benefit.  When they do, many seek to hide it.”  The foundation’s general counsel said, “The only way to preserve governmental integrity is for the NARA to release Biden’s nearly 5,400 emails. The American people deserve to know what is in them.”  We do, but this is not a new tactic.  We witnessed it with Hillary and Obama, as well as others.  Will we ever know?  Not if they can help it.

Joe Biden has insisted that an impenetrable wall exists between his family’s foreign schemes and his duties as Vice President.  What should be unfortunate for him is the massive amount of evidence reveals that the impenetrable wall was a superhighway of access. 

His use of ‘Robert Peters’ is troubling because it is highly unusual for a government official to use an obscure government network with an alias.  That gives the imagery of impropriety even if it was not improper.  Former Deputy Director of National Intelligence, Kash Patel, told Breitbart News, “Hillary’s home-brew ain’t got nothing on Robert Peters government funded money laundering operation.”  He said, “Joe Biden used taxpayer dollars while serving as Vice President to set up an ‘offshore’ style email server based in the White House.”  It was to route all his emails regarding his and Hunter’s business dealings with the Chinese, Ukrainians, and others away from public scrutiny.

The alias ‘Robert Peters’ has a “@pci.gov” domain name.  PCI represents the Executive Office of the President and is connected to a Department of Defense network.  Interesting!  It encompasses the Secret Service, Executive Office of the President, National Security Staff, and White House Communications Agency (WHMO).  That is according to the White House Communications Agency (WHCA).  Something smells fishy!

Another troubling revelation has been the $1 billion land purchases by a mysterious company near a California Air Force base.  Since 2018, a group called “Flannery Associates” has invested more than $800 million on 54,000 acres of agriculture-zoned land surrounding the Travis Air Force base in Solano County, California.  The questions are: Why and who are they? 

The land purchases are on three sides of the base, and that is a national security concern.  Regardless of where the money comes from for these purchases, the issue of security for the base is a major concern.  The group spent five years secretly and with strong-arm techniques to secure the land.  Why?  Where is the Biden administration in this matter?  Not a peep!

The climate change activists, including some Democrat members of Congress, insisted that the Hawaii fires were the direct result of climate change.  However, we have discovered that the Hawaiian Electric Company acknowledged that downed power lines started the fires.  The attempt to force through Climate Change Legislation over a man-caused disaster is another evidence of how diabolical or delusional our officials have become.

Vice President Kamala Harris admitted something damaging to the Biden spin on the benefits of Bidenomics.  She spoke about the cost of getting an abortion and said, “Most Americans are a $400 unexpected expense away from bankruptcy.”  That does not sound like Bidenonmics is working favorably, but He is a donkey, and donkeys cannot be wrong, right?

A recent Morning Consult survey found that in the third quarter, only 46% of Americans could cover a $400 unexpected expense without going into debt.  That is not quite the same as what she said, but it is still bad.  Bidenomics is hurting all socioeconomic levels and all ethnicities.

America, if we want America to remain a Free Constitutional Republic, we must Wake Up and Do Something!

THE BILL OF RIGHTS…


Our Constitution and Bill of Rights are diametrically opposed to Karl Marx’s utopian ideals and his philosophy of placing the state above man.  The original ten amendments to the Constitution place limits on the federal government’s power and bestow irrevocable rights to the citizens.  These rights are critically important today because, as I write, those in leadership are working behind the scenes and sometimes openly to forfeit our national sovereignty to a world body, namely the United Nations.

Men like Thomas Jefferson and James Madison realized that the Constitution granted power to the Central Government, but the rights of those governed were not sufficiently addressed.  To rectify that, they composed Ten Rights that were amendments to the Constitution and became known as our “Bill of Rights.”

However, I never cease to be amazed at how few people have ever read them, remember reading them, or know what they are.  Let me be blunt; you can only expect to be granted your Constitutional Rights if you know what they are.  How can you argue for or against them if you do not know what they are? 

So, please take the time to read this short listing of the “Bill of Rights”:

First Amendment:  Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, prohibiting the free exercise thereof, abridging the freedom of speech or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Second Amendment:  A well-regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Third Amendment:  No Soldier shall, in time of peace, be quartered in any house, without the consent of the Owner, nor in time of war, but in a manner to be prescribed by law.

Fourth Amendment:  The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects against unreasonable searches and seizures shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched and the persons or things to be seized.

Fifth Amendment:  No person shall be held to answer for any capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Sixth Amendment:  In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district where the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have Assistance of Counsel for his defense.

Seventh Amendment:  In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury shall be otherwise re-examined in any court of the United States than according to the rules of common law.

Eighth Amendment:  Excessive bail shall not be required, nor excessive fines imposed, nor cruel and unusual punishment inflicted.

Ninth Amendment:  The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

Tenth Amendment:  The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

How many of these rights do we still have today?  How many are we in danger of losing with this Administration?  We are in a crisis and at a crossroads in America, and it is up to each of us individually to stand up, speak up, and Vote! 

Our vote in every election expresses to everyone observing what we desire politically.  If we want to see it completely destroyed, then either do not vote or vote for the followers of toxic anti-American liberalism. 

Let us all pull together and work together to see America have the opportunity for restoration!  God bless you, and God bless America!

LIVING IN A COCOON…


I am concerned that a large swath of our citizens in America are living in a cocoon, governmentally and socially.  Some are so politically secluded in their mythological bubble that they believe Joe Biden is pure as the driven snow.  That or they believe that since most, if not all, politicians have dirt on their hands, their misgivings are easily forgivable and even acceptable.  That is a bubble or a cocoon that will render the resident dumber than a box of rocks politically.

How could anyone living today be ignorant of the questionable character and ethics of the Biden family?  I agree with someone who said, “The very fact that 30% or more of those polled believe that Biden is doing a good job as president means that Idiocracy is the new normal in America.”   I do not think that is possible without believing that the average IQ in America has plunged below zero.  But it makes perfect sense if you live in a societal, political, and ideological cocoon.  You are oblivious to reality, and your reality is only the things allowed inside your ‘safe space environment.’ 

It makes sense if one believes what is reported on the major news networks, the rhetoric and spin of the politicians and activists.  If you watch programs like ‘The View’ and devotedly cling to your toxic liberal ideology, then I understand your fallacious belief that Biden is not corrupt. 

Before, you charge, “Well, Trump is corrupt too.”  Even if that were proven true, when did two wrongs make a right?  The fact that we have had a person in the White House for over three years who is more than suspected of corruption, but that corruption has been evidenced, demands our attention.  The two-tiered justice of today is destructive and should not be tolerated.

If you live in your cocoon, you are likely to believe things that are illogical scientifically, morally, ethically, politically, and even biblically.  The bubble or cocoon that has become the habitation of the snowflakes and left-leaning ideologues is nefarious and will prove to be deadly societally.

Let me suggest that there are some truths that need to be advanced, proclaimed, and taught.  You will be persecuted, attacked, and become one deemed unworthy of breathing the air of our atmosphere if you advance them.  Social media will ban you, and the agencies of the federal government Gestapo may target you.  But, if you believe in freedom and are willing to embrace truth, then you need to know and advance them.

Let me give you a short list of things the cocoon residents cannot grasp.

  • There are only two genders – male and female.  You may have surgery, take hormones, and do other things attempting to violate that reality, but the chromosomes will not change, and you will still be what you were born.
  • There was Mass Fraud in the 2020 Election.  I do not care if you like or dislike Trump; the fraud was so blatant that a blind man could see it.
  • Al Gore and those of his ilk are becoming filthy rich by advancing Climate Change.  I would suggest a book by a genuine scientist to help see the truth – “Fake Catastrophes and Threats of Doom.”
  • The 2020 Antifa Riots were organized and orchestrated by a left-wing billionaire, and the adherents and participants looted their way into infamy.  They convinced cities to defund the police who were commissioned to protect them. 
  • There are extremist groups on both sides of the political aisle, but those on the right love America, and those on the left consider our Republic anathema.

Our present condition has drifted beyond hypocrisy.  The narcissism of the followers of toxic liberalism is deeply disturbing and incredibly revealing.  They seem to believe that Americans’ memories are so short or disconnected that we will not remember their antics, activities, and destruction.  Are they right?  The 2024 elections will tell us.

The left is up in arms over the potential impeachment hearings against Joe Biden but was onboard with impeaching Trump over anything and everything.  Donald Trump was impeached in 2019, corresponding with his reelection campaign.  It was immediately following his being cleared of wrongdoing in the almost two-year and $40 million special counsel Russian collusion hoax.  That was justifiable, but to touch Biden or a Democrat is heresy and diabolical to them.

The Trump children and supporters do not and did not have the luxury to ignore Congressional subpoenas.  Peter Navarro and Steven Bannon found out the hard way that a person on the right is not allowed to do what Hunter Biden has done and refuse to testify.   When Trump defends his kids, he is hiding corruption, but when Biden defends Hunter, he is simply a father who loves his son.  That is beyond hypocritical.

In the not-too-distant past, Whistleblowers were deemed courageous and noble souls.  But those who have dirt or raise concerns about the Biden family and those on the Left that are lower than a snake’s belly and the scum of the earth.  How dare anyone question the integrity of Joe (The Big Guy) Biden?

I remember the hoopla by the Left when alleged whistleblower Eric Ciaramella, moled his way into the Trump campaign and without firsthand knowledge of Trump’s phone conversation with Ukrainian president Zelensky testified of Trump’s guilt.  Add to that mix Ukrainian expatriate Lt. Colonel Alexander Vindman, who was on the call as a Trump national security team member.  Vindman broke the law and disclosed the classified call.

He was apparently infuriated and deemed Trump too harsh on his native Ukraine, so he informed Ciaramella of the call.  They met privately with Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) to engineer an impeachment proceeding.  Vindman and Ciaramella were canonized as patriotic saints in the effort to bring Trump down.

Today, whistleblowers against the Left are demonized and targeted by various governmental agencies, including the Infernal Revenue Service, I mean the Internal Revenue Service.  Those whistleblowers face social, financial, political, and societal destruction for their willingness to blow the whistle and alert to corruption.

America, if we hope to save the Republic, we must deal with corruption wherever it is found.  We must demand that politicians follow the Constitution.  We must insist that judges refrain from political activism.  We must return to our moral, ethical, and spiritual moorings that enabled this nation to become the great nation it has been.  We can do this, but only if we return to God and unite to fight corruption.

HAVE WE HAD A SOCIETAL PARADIGM SHIFT?


I have been thinking about and have embarked on a research project posed by the question: “Have we experienced a paradigm shift in society from morality to personality?”  I believe that the question is germane to the discussion and consideration of almost everything humans face and experience today.  If this has happened, it has occurred in the political, social, relational, economic, spiritual, and political worlds. 

Are there any examples of it that we can hang our hats on?  Is there any evidence that suggests that such a shift has happened?  What are we discussing in a ‘paradigm shift from morality to personality’?  I cannot answer all those questions but will attempt to identify only some of what set me on this journey. 

I believe that I saw a significant shift in the American paradigm a couple of administrations ago.  What caused me to ask this question and embrace this thought while observing the relational, entertainment and sports communities was the ‘cult-like’ following that Barack Obama received that made me question our society on this front.  It has continued with various activist groups and politically correct agendas poured upon us.

When people begin to adopt ‘cult-like’ worship and following of a person or ideology, they cannot see the flaws of the individual or ideology.  The kinks in the armor become so inconsequential that they are ignored or dismissed.  Mr. Obama, Mr. Biden, and a myriad of others have been the beneficiaries.  Mr. Obama was granted godlike status even when he advanced policies that are diametrically opposite of the belief of most in the Christian Faith. Yet, many followers of Christ followed Mr. Obama and supported him unquestioningly. 

I have observed preachers who embrace the progressive revisionism of today’s leftist political ideology. That stance is an affront to what they preach and write about.  Yet, the morality they call for in sermons and print takes a back seat to the personality of the candidate and the ideology they endorse.  There can be any number of reasons for this phenomenon.  I believe that it goes beyond race or gender and demands the question, “Have we had a paradigm shift from morality to personality?”

Some have examined this from the perspective of “moral hypocrisy” and “moral inconsistency to explain where we are and the condition of the human heart and thought.  There is some validity in those arguments.  We are seeing a tremendous amount of moral hypocrisy and inconsistency in today’s political world. 

Most of us have heard or been told, ‘Practice what you preach,’ and that has been the foundational definition of hypocrisy.  Most are put off when anyone ‘says one thing and does another’ or, as the old saying goes, ‘Do as I say, not as I do.’  We view that as hypocritical and correct.   Politicians are notorious for that; most dismiss it because we ‘expect’ politicians to be hypocritical regarding campaign promises.

There was a time in our society when we not only expected but demanded that political figures, business leaders, and religious leaders be ‘consistent’ in their display of morality and were not swayed by their personalities.  Today, whether it is sports figures, movie stars, entertainers, or political figures, we seem to be far less concerned about ‘morality’ than we are about ‘personality.’  Could that result from a paradigm shift in our society where ‘morality’ is of lesser worth today than a charismatic personality that can be worshipped to some degree?

I saw a study (I do not recall who did the study) where a group of individuals were given the option of flipping a coin to decide upon assigning particular tasks to themselves or an unknown person. 

It turned out that about half of the participants opted for the coin flip, but when the results were tabulated, 90% of those who flipped the coin reported that they received favorable tasks for themselves.  That was the same percentage as those who arbitrarily made the decision.  That is suggestive that those who opted for the coin flip skewed the results seeking to ‘appear fair’ but, in reality, were being hypocritical.  That is true in the political world today and is alarming. 

Yet, because it seems we have made a paradigm shift from morality to personality when the president or some other political figure opts for that ‘apparent fairness ’ when fairness is not even part of the equation, they receive ‘cult-like’ approval.  The personality rises far above morality, and the hypocrisy is ignored.

If I am right and we have made a paradigm shift from morality to personality (identity politics) in our society, we are in deep trouble as a people, a nation, and a world.  As a Christian, this is deeply troubling to me because I see it not just in the political but in every facet of society, including the Church.  I pray to God that I am wrong!

WHAT DO WORDS MEAN ANYMORE?


With the outrageous redefining of terms, one must wonder what words mean today.  I suppose it depends on the environment and the people to whom they are being spoken.  Words that were innocuous decades ago are not termed evidence of a phobic condition needing immediate reeducation or eradication.

If you disagree with the followers of toxic liberalism, you are a phobe.  You are worse than Genghis Khan or Jeffery Dahmer if you use non-threatening terms of bygone eras.  You are on equal footing with Lucifer of the Bible and unworthy of the air you breathe.

If I believe that the religion of Islam is not peaceful, I am deemed to be Islamophobic, but if they trash Christianity, they are within their rights.  If I believe in traditional marriage between one man and one woman, I am deemed to be homophobic, but if they criticize my beliefs, they are considered heroic and brave.  If I do not want my grandchildren or any children to be exposed to things that would harm their psyche, I am a transphobe, but if they attack my position, they are within their rights and misunderstood. 

What do words mean?  The use of the race card and the term racist is almost meaningless today because it is one-sided.  If you do not kowtow to the demands of Antifa or BLM, you are a racist.  If you question the wisdom of allowing the border to be eradicated, you are a xenophobe and unfeeling to the needs of those less fortunate.

I have been informed that I am deemed a White Supremacist because I am a Caucasian male who is a Christian and conservative.  Joseph Goebbels said, “The bigger the lie, said often enough, becomes truth.”  Words have meaning, but they must also be taken in context.  Words taken out of context can be twisted to mean anything. 

Demonization is a tactic used by the followers of today’s toxic liberal ideology.  Demonization seeks to define the person being attacked as being diabolically evil.  The objective is to delegitimize the person and their position.  It is to disallow any dissent and views freedom of speech and thought anathema.

The Bible is deemed to be hate speech by those on the Left who seek to remove any biblical influence from the public square.  If you quote the Bible, you are thought to be overcome by some phobic condition and are a member of the society of deplorables. 

I cannot avoid the feelings of dismay over those in America celebrating the terrorism conducted by Hamas.  The slaughter of innocent children, babies, and women is unconscionable and should be loudly condemned by all.  Some of those celebrating also insist that there was no Holocaust, and that Hitler was simply a leader advancing a philosophy that was in the best interest of his country.  That is astounding!

There is a video of CAIR Executive Directory Nihad Awad celebrating the terrorism of October 7th.  He said, “I was happy to see the people of Gaza break the siege on October 7; they were victorious; the people of Gaze have the right to self-defense – Israel does not.”  What?  To launch an attack and brutally murder, rape, behead people while destroying property is laudable but to respond is untenable?  That is beyond lunacy. 

Words are important, which is what the Constitution comprises – WORDS!   Words with specific meaning and intent were used to formulate the system of government defined in that document.  Therefore, when the judicial nominee of Joe Biden, Sara E. Hill, pledged to “ignore” Oklahoma’s abortion laws and blatantly lied about it to Congress, we have a problem.

For example, when Ms. Hill was questioned by the Senate, Senator Kennedy (R-LA) asked her to explain the difference between a “stay order” and an “injunction.”   She could not answer the question and finally responded, “I’m not sure that I actually can give you the – uh – that.”  Wow!   Those words have specific meanings, and any law student completing the first year of law school knows the answer. 

We are so steeped in identity politics and activism that our courts are almost meaningless and are rapidly becoming nothing more than political arms advancing an agenda.  That is not what our court system was designed to be, nor what we should be willing to allow.

Add to that the modification and redefining of terms we are enduring the the twisting of science for the sake of advancing a lie. That twist is endangering millions of our children.  The lie that a person is born a homosexual is advanced and believed by those of that community and some on both sides of the social, moral, and political aisle. 

I was impressed by an ex-lesbian, Robin Goodspeed’s declaration: “I was not born a homosexual. I was not ‘born that way.’  There is no scientific proof, or proof of any kind, that homosexuals are ‘born that way.”  I was sexually molested at the age of 2, and I began making choices at that age that led to a life of homosexuality.  I chose that life, and I clung desperately to the lie that I was ‘born that way’ so I would never be held accountable for my choices.” 

Walt Heyer, a former transgender, was asked if transgenders are ‘born that way.’  He said: “There is no evidence that transgenders are ‘born that way.’  There is, however, evidence that they are suffering from untreated mental disorders such as bipolar disorder, dissociative disorder, separation anxiety, schizophrenia, and personality disorder.”  

Christian minister Janet Boynes opened up about her abusive childhood and the reality that she did not fit the cookie-cutter image of what a woman should be.  She chose to become involved in lesbian relationships.  She wrote: “When I was living in homosexuality, I knew I was sinning.  The Bible told me, my conscience told me, and many people in my life told me.  Unfortunately, I also had many people telling me that what I was doing was simply a lifestyle choice and not a sin. … My own experience as a former lesbian leads me to believe that many in the homosexual community are searching for love and acceptance. …  I desperately needed to find love, to feel loved and to experience love.”

What does this have to do with words? Everything, because we seek to define terms based on what we want them to mean.  When children are inundated with theories of gender confusion, they seek to redefine male and female.  They redefine marriage. They redefine life, and in their search for something meaningful that will alleviate their confusion and frustration, they need absolute truths.   What is used to confuse the confused – Words that are redefined and reoriented to achieve an agenda.

Do words mean anything anymore?  Yes, if we are seekers of truth.  No, if we only desire to advance an ideology.  Words are useful tools to reveal the truth and equally useful to advance misinformation and lies.   I pray that we will return to rational sanity in this world.  Without God, we are like rudderless ships on a raging sea.

HAVE WE FORGOTTEN OUR PLEDGE TO BE ONE NATION UNDER GOD?


I am sure you know the story behind including that phrase in our Pledge of Allegiance but let me refresh your memory.  The Reverend George M. Docherty preached a sermon in the presence of President Dwight D. Eisenhower and suggested that the words “under God” be added to the pledge. 

The sermon profoundly affected everyone in attendance, including the President.  Reverend Docherty stated: “Something is missing in the pledge, and that which is missing is the characteristics and definitive factor in the American way of life.  Indeed, apart from the mention of the phrase, the United States of America, it could be the pledge of any republic.  In fact, I could hear little Muscovites repeat a similar pledge to their hammer and sickle flag in Moscow with equal solemnity.”

The pastor went on to illustrate that the American pledge, as it existed, could be recited by citizens from any country, even those in communistic nations that hated God. 

The day following the sermon, U.S. Representative Charles Oakman of Michigan introduced a Joint Resolution (H.L. Res 2371) to add the words “Under God” into the pledge and explained:

“Mr. Speaker, I think Mr. Docherty hit the nail squarely on the head.  One of the most fundamental differences between us and the Communists is our belief in God.”

Two days later, on February 10th, Senator Homer Ferguson, also of Michigan, introduced the Senate Joint Resolution (S.J. 126) explained to the Senate:

“Our nation is founded on a fundamental belief in God, and the first and most important reason for the existence of our government is to protect the God-given rights of our citizens…. Indeed, Mr. President, over one of the doorways of this very Chamber, inscribed in the marble are the words “In God We Trust.”  Unless these words amount to more than a carving in stone, our country will never be able to defend itself.”

Those resolutions were passed, and on June 14, 1954 (Flag Day), President Dwight David Eisenhower signed the bill into law, officially adding the words “under God” into the Pledge of Allegiance, telling the nation:

“From this day forward, the millions of our school children will daily proclaim in every city and town, every village and rural schoolhouse, the declaration of our nation and our people to the Almighty.  To anyone who truly loves America, nothing could be more inspiring than to contemplate this rededication of our youth, on each school morning, to our country’s true meaning… In this way, we are reaffirming the transcendence of religious faith in America’s heritage and future; in this way, we shall constantly strengthen those spiritual weapons which forever will be our country’s most powerful resource, in peace or in war.”

It is astounding to me how far we have drifted from those moorings!  Think about what I have just written.  One Sermon had that kind of impact!  One preacher spoke to the President and the nation with a message from God that affected the thinking and identified the foundational principles that this nation would reaffirm as its bedrock moorings.  

The question should be, “Do we have any preachers today willing to be that voice for God and Country?”  Hopefully, we do!  I long to hear them speak out eloquently, frequently, and loudly!  I want to be that voice; if it is not me, then someone, please!

America and our heritage depend on us!  We need to remember these things in every election cycle.  Our Freedom and Republic depend on it.

THE SYMPTOM IS NOT THE CAUSE NOR THE DISEASE…


Before someone says, “Well, duh, Captain Obvious,” let me explain what I am talking about in my title assertion.  I am not talking about human diseases in the body but about our political climate in America. An environment that is affecting our society adversely.  A climate that must be altered if we are going to remain a Free Constitutional Republic or return to being one.

We have a sitting president who is tainted, dating back to his first appearance on the political scene decades ago.  The gaffes and faux pas he continues to contribute are not new.  They may well be the result of a diminished mental state, possibly dementia or Alzheimer’s.  However, many of his inane statements and antics have been a part of his public persona for decades.  Therefore, I cannot give him a pass due to illness.

Since being the occupant of the White House, his assault on our Republic and our System of Government has reached epic proportions.  He has shuddered our economy with Bidenomics.  It is an economic disaster that anyone who works for a living and pays taxes should detest, and I believe they do, either privately or publicly.

The Left is assaulting us as being insensitive to poor Joe, and he cannot catch a break.  After all, they insist, his presidency has been a roaring success.  How they come up with that assertion is beyond my ability to comprehend, but they do, and millions of brain-numbed supporters latch on to it.  They insist that those of us who complain are deplorably disconnected from reality and need to be re-educated or eradicated.

A recent Monmouth Poll indicated that the Biden approval rating hovers around 34%.  The reality is that it is not the worst review in the polling community.  The Pew Poll has him at 33%.  The pundits and followers of toxic liberalism insist that those numbers are inconsistent with the booming economy he has produced.  Booming?  My bank account does not reflect booming unless you mean blown to smithereens and emptied.

If one were trying to rekindle support and public approval, you would think they would not have taken the path this administration has taken.  You may or may not agree, but this administration made a mini-gulag in the federal prisons with the January 6th protesters.  They violated so many constitutional guarantees with that group, which is astounding.  They unleashed the FBI on parents who protested racial agitation and the transgender push at local public school board meetings.  They investigated Catholics who attended Latin mass. 

We have evidence that some Democratic staffers have created porn videos in hearing rooms and claimed persecution when fired for the offense.  Our quality of life continues to spiral downward as they advance their agenda, claiming it is defending race, sex, or the climate. 

The down payment on a new home has almost doubled since January 2021, when Biden took office.  Citizens are being forced to work multiple jobs to keep their heads above water and have taken on an enormous amount of credit card debt trying to provide for their families.  The supply chain issues, rising prices of everything, and the usurpations of our freedoms and liberties all matter. 

Joe Biden is not the disease; he is the symptom!  The disease is the decades-long dumbing down of our youth and brainwashing them to believe the lies of liberalism.  Socialism will work, they claim, because they are more intelligent than all the societies that attempted and failed in the past.  They are more attuned to people’s actual needs, sensitive, and caring, so shuddering our free enterprise system is needed to achieve a level playing field and equity. 

I suggest that it is impossible to trust the government today.  We are being asked to accept lies and give our trust to the corrupt and incompetent.  The CATO Institute produced an article worthy of being read, “Congress Is on a Christmas Spending Spree.”  The amazing thing about today’s government is that they appear oblivious to fiscal reality. 

We have annual deficits in the trillions, not billions, and interest rates continue to rise to historic levels.  You would think they know enough about economics to realize that throwing gasoline on a fire will not put out the fire but cause it to burn even hotter and longer.  The insane spending Congress and this president are willing to engage in will likely be the death knell in our Republic.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellin recently declared, “My expectation is that inflation will continue to come down into the 2% range by the end of 2024.”  What are you smoking or snorting, Madam Secretary?  With the Fed’s aggressive rate-hiking, the cost of credit is so costly that few can afford it.  With the higher interest rates, the debt our federal government has means more interest and higher payments.  That always produces more taxes and increases our deficit and national debt astronomically.   We are being buried in debt!

U.S. Economist are predicting that 2024 will bring one of the most massive and destructive crashes we have seen in our history.  That is deeply troubling and meshes with what I have been sensing in my spirit for several years.  I have sensed that 2024-2025 will be critical and may bring catastrophic conditions from which our Republic may not survive.  Elections have consequences and this election is the most critical of our Republic.

If Henry Dent is correct, this will go beyond the Great Depression in chaos and collapse.  We have been propping up the economy with false hopes via bailouts and stimulus funds.  We are in a bubble and that bubble will likely burst and when it does, there will be many who are decimated beyond recovery economically.

He called it an ‘everything bubble’ and insisted that the Roaring 20s Bubble was not an ‘everything bubble.’   He believes that the coming crash will not be a correction but will be more akin to the 1929-1932 level.  He believes it could be in the 85-96% range and that would completely wipe out many investors and Americans.  Thanks to the inane and insane spending by Congress and the fiscal lunacy we have been chasing.

America, Joe Biden is a symptom not the disease!  Does he need to go?  Yes, and not only Biden but most of those in Washington.  Both major political parties have been co-conspirators in this collapse and the corruption.  We need to return to moral, spiritual, and fiscal sanity.  We need to see the American patriots rise and reclaim our republic.  We need to return to God and return to a work ethic that make America what it was and could be again.

If we focus on symptoms rather than the real problem, we will continue to allow the political elitists to do their nefarious deeds and watch our republic fade into history and become a distant memory.  I cannot do that silently.  My freedom and my faith prohibit it.  I stand for Faith, Family, and Freedom and will shout from the rooftops as long as I have breath sounding the alarm.

ELECTION SERMONS ARE A PART OF OUR AMERICAN HISTORY…


For too many years, the religious community, or the Evangelical Religious Community, has shunned the idea of participating in politics and either passively or actively embraced the theory of “Separation of Church and State” as a mandate that they should stay out of the political arena. 

First, the Constitution does not restrict or prevent religion from engaging in political discussion. It prohibits the Federal Government from forming a National Church and giving it preference over all others.  The First Amendment and our right to Freedom of Religion do not prevent us from having an opinion or even a preference in a political campaign and frequently involves issues directly connected to our belief system.

In 1633 and up until the 20th century, churches participated in what was known as annual “Election Sermons,” where preachers preached about particular issues and elections, instructing their parishioners as to what God’s Word had to say about the issue and suggesting how they might vote in keeping with their faith. 

It was not an attempt to force people to vote a particular way but a means of informing the congregations of the views of the church and the Bible on that specific issue or election.  Christians seemed to understand that we hold a “dual citizenship,” being citizens of heaven and earth simultaneously, and were obligated to exercise good stewardship and citizenship. 

In 1954, Congress passed the “Johnson Amendment,” which has since been interpreted as silencing pastors on issues and topics of civil interest.  However, Christians of previous generations would not have submitted to a policy that so egregiously violated not only the Constitution but the Bible. 

In 2008, the Alliance Defense Fund launched a “Pulpit Freedom Sunday” to help churches regain their much-needed voice in politics and civil issues.  They partnered with courageous pastors who decided to participate and preach politically laced sermons about specific issues and even candidates’ stances on issues and compared them to those of the Bible.  We may need to resurrect that type of effort in 2023 and beyond.

Hundreds of churches and pastors participated in that Special Sunday, and the IRS largely refused to come after any of them because they knew they would have a Constitutional lawsuit awaiting them if they did.  A lawsuit that the government knew and knows it cannot win.  Over 2,000 affiliated attorneys were willing to defend for free any Bible-teaching pastor who speaks out with a Biblical voice on current issues or leaders. 

I urge pastors and churches to stop being intimidated and stand up for what is right.  Boldly but lovingly declare what God’s word has to say on the issues and stances of the candidates.  You may suffer from members of your congregations, the community, political ideologues, and peers. 

However, God will honor your commitment to truth, and America will thank you in the end for your courage and willingness to provide the much-needed voice of sanity in this troubled world.  I will fear no man, for God is my Rock and Shield.  Man may destroy the body but cannot touch our souls. 

It is up to us to Pray, Teach, Preach, Beseech, and Reach everyone we can for the cause of the Kingdom of God and to try to preserve the nation as a place of Freedom so we can continue to do that with liberty! 

In every election, remember what is at stake and vote accordingly!  God will help us if we return to Him and do what is right!

I want to allow the founding fathers to speak for themselves and consider their own words regarding their philosophy and willingness or unwillingness to allow the Bible to influence the formation of America and our system of government.  Some will find this objectionable, and some will reject it.  However, if we consider their words, we can see the value of the Original Intent.

I find it amazing that we are repeatedly told that the founders were not believers and did not value the Bible and the guidance of God in the deliberations of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, yet their writings are replete with references to their faith and dependence on God. 

They considered this nation the providence of God and did not believe it possible to preserve it without His guidance.  Yet, today, there is an assault on the Bible, the faith, and Christians, especially those who hold conservative values as did our founders. 

It is hard to comprehend how we could have drifted so far from the founders’ original intent in just a short time, and I wonder where we will be if we give this sitting President another four years.  I suspect that we will lose most if not all, our freedoms afforded by God and the Constitution and move from a Republican Democracy to, at best, a Soft Tyranny if not a full Despotic Dictatorship. 

America, our future is in the balance in this election. What Will We Do?
