DARE WE ABANDON OUR FRIEND IN THE MIDDLE EAST?


In case you wonder who, I am talking about, it is Israel.  I believe they are one of, if not our only, friend in the Middle East.  America has historically stood with Israel, but both Obama and Biden have demonstrated a propensity to side with the other side.  The Biden team gives lip service to supporting Israel, but their actions indicate that it might be only lip service.

Does the Biden administration, which is a microcosm of the Obama ideology and agenda, desire that Hamas win this conflict?  I ask that in light of the reality that Biden and Tony Blinken, Secretary of State, have taken steps to prevent Israel from eliminating the existential threat of Hamas.  They are attempting to hamstring Israel and keep them on a very short leash.  In my view, which is not in Israel’s best interest, nor that of the world.

They seem to talk out of both sides of their mouths in this and most situations.  Blinken had a press conference in which he insisted that Hamas could not retain control of the Gaza Strip.  That sounded good, but he continued by prescribing untenable limits on what Israel could do militarily.  If Israel followed his limitations, Hamas would remain in control of the Gaza Strip and continue to conduct acts of terrorism.

Nobody, hopefully, wants to see civilians killed in the conflict. However, when Hamas uses civilians as human shields, that eventuality is almost unavoidable.  Israel has shown restraint in the past and continues to do so, but they must protect themselves.  Unfortunately, there is collateral damage in war.  That is not a justification or a dismissing of the seriousness of the situation but a reality of war.

Israel is in somewhat of a catch-22 situation, where they are highly dependent on the United States for weapons of war. It must defend itself even at the risk of angering this administration.  Israel does not want a long, drawn-out war like those we have conducted in the past few years.  The cost monetarily and in human lives is too great.

When the Biden team, attempting to appease the Muslim world, apologizes for questioning the exaggerated Hamas casualty figures, it is revealing of their genuine desire.  Biden, as did Obama, has a personal disdain for Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu.  Since the October 7th attack, this administration has stepped up its push to convince Israeli politicians to dump Netanyahu.  That has failed and hopefully will continue to fail. 

Let us evaluate the situation using some statistical data regarding the Hamas attack and the Gaza Strip.  A new poll from AWRAD, Arab World Research and Development, revealed that 75% of the Palestinians support the attack.  Only 12.7% opposed it.  That is disturbing.

A tweet by Consul General Idit Shamir speaks loudly to the blindness of the UN and the Biden Administration.  He said, “Women were raped by them (Hamas).  Women were murdered by them.  Women were kidnapped by them.  Women were burned alive by them.  Yet the @UN_Women organization has remained silent.  Why?  Because they (the women) were Israelis.”

He continued, “They didn’t mention the Jewish babies, girls, and women massacred, raped, mutilated, shot, stabbed, burned alive, and held hostage by Hamas in Gaza.  This is an organization that is supposed to uphold women’s human rights around the world.  Despite this, they chose to IGNORE the brutal crimes against humanity committed by Hamas against Jewish women and girls in Israel.   Your silence and criminal neglect of babies, women, and girls will not be erased from history.”

There were babies being beheaded, mothers and children tied up and burned alive, safe rooms set on fire, and baking babies in ovens.  That is beyond horrific; it is demonic!  What we saw was the dancing in the streets and celebrations in Gaza and around the world by Hamas supporters.  They celebrated the horrendous atrocities!

According to the poll, the dancers and celebrators are in the majority in Palestine.  The supposedly “moderate” West Bank was even worse than in Gaza.  The support of mass murder is impossible to comprehend.  The poll revealed that virtually everyone in Gaza and the West Bank supports the terrorist and terrorism.  The hate for Israel is so deeply rooted in the culture that Israel has little choice but to eradicate the root.

Elder of Ziyon declared, “As I’ve been emphasizing, the obstacle to peace isn’t Israel.  It is Palestinian Jew-hatred, hatred that predates the “occupation” and “siege” and “Nakba.”  Unless there is a new Palestinian leadership and a generation of Palestinians who grow up learning about coexistence and tolerance, there is no chance for peace.”

When hate prevails, peace is impossible!  Hate is irrational, and its intolerance is impossible to defend.  I have contended for almost all my adult life and Christian life that Love is the only antidote for Hate.  Unless the Love of God fills the human heart, hate will continue to have a fertile seedbed from which to produce its ugly fruit of destruction.

In America, we have embarked on a journey to redefine everything logical, reasonable, biblical, moral, and sane.  The cancel culture and political correctness have gone off the rails and are destroying our foundational pillars required to maintain our Republic as the Free Constitutional System needed.

Today, the Leftists and purveyors of this brand of illogical ideology insist that words like man or woman are to be banished.  They believe that men and women are interchangeable entities with no differences.  Obviously, they failed Biology and Psychology.  Most men are physically stronger than most women, making the idea that a transgender male should be allowed to compete with biological females beyond ridiculous. 

The followers of that toxic brand of liberalism and progressivism have been somewhat successful in polluting the minds of our young people that marriage and family are antiquated ideals for many.  They seek to force us to live in a vacuum, which is impossible for human beings. We are being transformed fundamentally into a society that is self-destructive and removing absolutes from the ideology of multitudes.  That opens the door for hate in the name of tolerance to prevail.  When that happens, society is doomed.

Hamas and Israel are prime examples of how destructive Hate is, especially when it is generational hatred.  If we have any hope in this world and America, we MUST return to God’s biblical and moral principles and reintroduce love, respect, and true tolerance.  The definition of tolerance being promoted today is anything but tolerance.  It is biased bigotry and hate that seeks to destroy anything not in harmony with its views.  No society can survive that condition for long.

WHAT ROLE DID RELIGION PLAY IN FOUNDING THE REPUBLIC?


I cannot count the number of times I have been told to keep my faith and politics separate because they are incompatible.  However, the more I study the American Revolution and the role of the ministers, churches, and Christians, I find that argument invalid.  If you have studied Colonial History, you have undoubtedly seen how active the preachers and churches were.

I do not believe anyone can logically or factually argue that the colonists, patriots, politicians, or ministers of that era believed religion had no place in the political arena.  Preachers far and wide preached from their pulpits the righteousness of the cause of the revolution.  Today, they would be told (unless they are on the left) that they would lose their status by doing so. 

But there was no IRS then either, or should not be one now, but that is another topic.  The ministers of the revolutionary era assured the people that resistance to tyranny was a righteous cause and effectively built a fire of patriotism in the hearts and minds of most colonials.  Ministers served as military chaplains, penmen for committees of correspondence, and members of state legislatures, the constitutional convention, and the National Congress.  Some even took up arms and led troops into battle.

  • Jonathan Mayhew, pastor of the West Church in Boston, wrote and preached of the Crown’s diabolical nature and God’s desire for all men to be free. 
  • Peter Muhlenberg was called “The Fighting Parson.” He threw off his clerical robes after a fiery sermon concerning the revolution, donned a military uniform, and led troops into battle. 
  • James Caldwell, a Presbyterian minister in Elizabeth, New Jersey, was one of many chaplains in the army. 
  • John Witherspoon was possibly the most important “political parson” of that era as he represented New Jersey in the Continental Congress from 1776-1782 and signed the Declaration of Independence while preaching in support of the cause. 
  • Even Quakers who called themselves “Free Quakers” took up arms.

For anyone to assume that the founding fathers and the religious leaders of that day wanted to keep religion out of the political arena is to ignore the facts.  It is beyond my comprehension why preachers today shy away from speaking out in support of truth, standing for biblical principles, and standing against those things that directly conflict with the Bible. 

There is only one way to silence me, and unless God tells me to stop speaking out, I will continue to proclaim the message of Christ, the Love of God, and the cause of Liberty and Freedom.  I am not a cat; I do not have many lives. I have a LIFE, and it is the total of everything that touches me, and politics touches me too.

So, I plead for everyone to stand for the right and biblical principles in this day and join in the fight to restore America and keep those who would destroy her from succeeding.  If we do not unite and stand firm, America, as the founders intended and as we have enjoyed and desired, will be no more!  Remember what is at stake in every election!   Our Freedom depends on it!

AMERICA, BEWARE…


I am convinced that 2024 and 2025 are shaping up to be ominous years in American history.  The 2024 elections, from top to bottom, are more critical than any in our history.  I will not attempt to detail all the reasons I believe that, but I hope to share a few poignant points to express my concerns.

The incredible vitriolic hate that is in the hearts of many for Donald Trump and anyone who supported or supports him is producing a dangerous condition in America.  I am not being an apologist for Trump, and while his personality may be grating to many, I believe he loves America.  Does he have a highly inflated ego? What politician doesn’t?  That is not the issue; America is.

The idea presented by the followers of the Leftist’s agenda is that “Donald Trump is a threat to Democracy.”  I will refrain from addressing the reality that we are not a direct democracy but a constitutional republic.  However, that is critical in understanding what is happening in America. 

The desire of Barack Hussein Obama and the followers of the toxic agenda of the Left is the transformation of America from being a Constitutional Republic to being a non-sovereign state of the world.  They would move us from constitutionalism to authoritarianism or totalitarianism, where the few elites dictate everything to us, peons.

The Left fears Donald Trump more than they have ever feared any political candidate.  There are many reasons for their fear, and his resiliency threatens them.  Thus, they have removed all the stops and gone full bore to destroy him and anyone who supports him or the agenda that he espouses.  America first is anathema to the globalists, leftists, Marxists, and the climate alarmists. 

The idea that Americans, constitutionally and biblically, have inalienable rights is a thorn in their flesh.  It impedes the implementation of their agenda and affords people the right to live their lives unimpeded without being overly regulated by the federal government.  The idea that we might be intelligent enough and independent enough to fend for ourselves and carve out a niche in life that is in harmony with our desires is incomprehensible to them. 

The elites of both major political parties and those pursuing activist agendas that demand our subservience believe they are the only ones capable of oversight.  Their hubris displays their sense of self-importance for everyone to see if they are willing to observe honestly.  Their superciliousness should insult every hardworking, freedom-loving American.

To call Trump a threat is laughable in light of what he did as president and the contrast to the destructive policies of Obama and now Biden.  According to revealed internal documents, Joe Biden waived taxpayer safeguards to boost his offshore wind project. 

He approved (with almost no notice) a request from an energy firm to develop an offshore wind project off the coast of Massachusetts to waive development fees.  Those fees were designed as a safeguard for taxpayers.  The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) informed Vineyard Wind that it had waived financial assurance for decommissioning costs on June 15, 2021. Why are we just now hearing about this?

They did this while imposing on the Oil and Gas Industry more expensive bonding requirements on long-standing oil and gas leases.  They are clamping down on the Oil and Gas Industry while lifting the restrictions and restraints on the Green Energy Industry.  What a slap in the face of Biden’s claims of being the most ethical administration in American history. 

Joe Biden’s administration sent out an email to nearly one million student loan borrowers, alerting them that their loans had been forgiven through steps he has taken.  They have canceled $127 BILLION in loan debt for about 3.6 million borrowers. That is after the Supreme Court struck down Biden’s unilateral student loan forgiveness. 

He did an end run and launched the “SAVE” debt forgiveness plan for additional amenities to income-driven repayment programs.  They claim that 5.5 million have signed up and that about three million of those qualify for $0 monthly payments.  Was it ethical when the SCOTUS struck down his plan?  What happened to the rule of law and the constitution?   Please understand that I think college costs are out of control.  I have grandchildren affected by student loans so I am not unsympathetic to those with massive loans.

I believe that during 2024-25, we will see the incredible rise and use of AI to control many if not most, aspects of our lives.  I heard the term “Controligarchs” in reference to the billionaires who are part of the most exclusive club in the world advancing the use of AI to control the masses. Those include Bill Gates, David Rockefeller, George Soros, Ted Turner, Michael Bloomberg, Warren Buffett, Oprah Winfrey, and others.  It consists of the heads of Cisco, Blackstone Group, Tiger Management, and more. 

The claim is that this is necessary due to the dire threat of Climate Change and the need to curb overpopulation.  The Biden team is in the pockets of those Controligarchs, and that is a serious threat to America and our freedom.

There is only one hope for the world and for America – God!  I believe that unless and until we return to our moral foundations and allow God back in the public square, we will continue to see declension, disorder, and chaos.  We are a boiling cauldron, and the eruption may occur after the 2024 elections.  I do not want to be identified as a Gloom & Doomer, but we need to become aware of the dangers that are looming and pray for our nation and ourselves.

THE MATTER OF HOPE AND HOPELESSNESS…


After the Elections of 2023, my title fits my objectivity regarding where we are in America politically, morally, socially, societally, and nationally.  It seems that each time hope springs up from something positive that transpires, there is a dash of gloom that follows it.  The attitude of the American people leaves one perplexed politically.

However, my hope and confidence are not in politics but in God; therefore, I have hope even in those things that could produce a sense of hopelessness.  I want to walk you through a few recent things that gave me hope and those that smashed hope to the ground.  I climb upon Cloud Nine to be plunged into Apartment Number Nine, where the sun never shines.

I saw a recent poll contrasting Joe Biden and Donald Trump for the 2024 presidential election.  It indicated that Biden does not (I do not believe he ever did) have the popular vote, and his margin of error is gone.  The RealClearPolitics poll released on September 26, 2023, indicated that the Biden approval rating was 40.8%.  (How it can be that high is a mystery.)  His disapproval rating was 54.5%. (How it can be that low is equally a mystery.)

The 40.8% approval rating is approximately 10% below the recorded votes he received in 2020.  In July 2022, his approval rating was 37.2% (and probably still is), 15% below his approval rating on January 31, 2021.  All the indicators are that America is waking up, feeling the pain, and moving away from the lunacy of this administration. 

One would think that if voters are waking up, the GOP should have continued to gain in 2023, right?  Election night in 2023 saw the Democrats produce a winning night and the GOP on the losing side of the equation.  In Kentucky, normally a Red State, Democratic Governor Andy Beshear had an easy win.  In Virginia, Democrats flipped control of the House of Delegates and maintained control in the state Senate.  Likewise, abortion, a key Democrat issue, enjoyed wins in Ohio and other areas.  That tramples on the hope that Biden was losing ground and people were waking up.  Maybe they are just rejecting Biden but not the toxic liberal agenda and ideology.

I was encouraged when the House of Representatives voted to censure Democratic Representative Rashida Tlaib, the only Palestinian American in Congress, after she defended Hamas and called for the elimination of Israel.  The House voted 234 to 188, with 22 Democrats joining all but 4 Republicans voting to censure here.  Four voted present, which is a cowardly act.

She was videoed at a rally chanting, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”  In an interview, she was asked to condemn Hamas’ actions of beheading babies, and she refused.  Hate is hate, and the House was right in censuring her, although that is a virtually meaningless action.

Then, basking in that ray of hope, I discovered that Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials created a ‘disinformation group’ at Stanford University to help censor Americans’ free speech on social media ahead of the 2020 election.  Hope was seen exiting stage left with that one.  We knew it, but the continuing revelations of verifiable data dampen hope of enlightenment and restoring the Republic.

In September, federal appeals found that the Biden administration ‘likely violated the First Amendment.’  Likely?  They did so by pressuring social media companies to scrub posts the White House deemed false or misleading.  That would include anything that did not fit their agenda and rhetoric.  The Judiciary Committee uncovered emails that revealed months-long discussions between CISA and social media companies, including Facebook and Twitter, over a proposed misinformation portal.  Was their corruption and fraud?  Do wild bears live in the woods?

The timidity of this administration and duplicity regarding Israel smacks with the overt support of the Muslim terrorist of his former boss.  We now know that the leaders of Hamas, like the leaders of BLM and other activist groups, are incredibly rich.  That is quite different from Osama bin Laden, who, after 9/11, was seen hiding in caves in rags.  Was that optics?  Maybe, but it engendered more sympathy for him than the revelation that Hamas leaders are living high on the hog in Qatar in billionaire lifestyles.

The New York Post had this article: “While their people languish in poverty and are treated as human shields, the leaders of Hamas live billionaire lifestyles.  The terror group’s three top leaders alone are worth a staggering $11 billion and enjoy a life of luxury and the sanctuary of the emirate of Qatar.   The emirate has long welcomed the leaders of the terror group and installed them in its luxury hotels and villas at the same time as hosting a vast American military presence.”

Hamas runs an office in Qatar’s capital, Doha, and leaders Ismael Haniyeh, Moussa Abu Marzuk, and Khaled Mashal live luxurious lifestyles.  They have been seen at diplomatic clubs, photographed on private jets, and travel widely and extensively.  They were there for the soccer World Cup in 2022.  Nobody in Qatar and, for that matter, few in Washington seem even to care.

I applaud people like Chani Malul for their fearlessness in speaking out against evil and terror.  She grew up in the ultra-Orthodox Jewish community in Jerusalem and attended ultra-Orthodox Jewish schools.  She now lives in suburban Maryland, is a mother, and is unafraid to declare the truth.  She said, “My former community drilled into us an important lesson: no matter what the whole world thinks, no matter what people around us say, we have to be upright and strong and do the right thing, even when it is not popular.”  That is the truth and much needed today.

The claim that the Palestinians, not controlled by Hamas, want peace and prosperity and a two-state solution is false.  If they wanted that, they could already have it.  In 2005, the Palestinian Arabs were given autonomy over the Gaza Strip.  To facilitate that, the Israeli government forcibly removed thousands of Israelis from the area.  They knew that without military protection, Jews would be murdered by Palestinians, who prefer their land, Judenfrei.  (No Jews).

By 2007, the unity government between the PLO and Hamas fell apart, and Hamas won in a landslide election in 2006 and began defenestrating its political opponents. That was a warning and a shot across the bow.  There has not been a genuine election there since.  Mr. Biden claims that Hamas does not speak for the Palestinian people. Still, the reality is they are more attuned to the people than the “moderate” Fatah party, which we keep going with billions of taxpayer dollars.

No Palestinian leader can agree to a deal on statehood because if they did, their life expectancy would be minutes, not years.  The Palestinians living in Gaza have been unwilling to build the necessary infrastructure despite receiving hundreds of millions in aid. Instead, they allow Hamas to build underground infrastructure from which to hide and launch their acts of terror.

The world is in chaos, and unless we in America and the world return to sanity and repel hate, we will see a world conflict like never seen before.  The illogical hate for the Jewish people was birthed in hell and will not end until Jesus returns.  However, we can have some semblance of peace if we unite against hate and force those practicing terrorism to suffer the consequences of their heinous acts.

AMERICA’S CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER…


There is not one danger but many. I want to focus on a few of the imminent dangers facing our Republic today that must be addressed if we are to survive as the Free Constitutional Republic our Founders established.  The monumental question is, “What Will We Do About it? Or What Can We Do About It?”  I am unsure of the resolve to take the necessary action in our current condition. 

We have the insane, irrational, and illogical policy of an Open Border and continue that pursuit even with all the evidence of the imminent dangers posed thereby.  We have documented evidence of the Drug Cartel’s pipeline of dangerous, addictive, and illicit drugs flooding our streets. We have documented evidence of people afflicted with diseases we had virtually eradicated entering our nation in significant numbers.  We have documented evidence of violent criminals and terrorists entering our country almost without concern by this administration.  The border poses a clear and present danger.

An essay by George Parry, “Joe Biden and the Coming Domestic Martyrdom Operations,” is worth reading.  It is eye-opening and presents some alarming information that all Americans should be aware of but will never be privy to if their only source is the MSM and Government rhetoric.  He shows the potential (which is more than potential) of mass casualty terrorism in the United States in the days to come.  The doorway for that terrorism is the porous border the Left insists that it is our humanitarian mandate.

We wrongly believed that terrorists were extremely limited in their ability to inflict harm on American soil.  The government insisted that our intelligence community, law enforcement, and military were more than capable of preventing a mass attack.  However, 9/11 revealed that was not true.  I have acquaintances and some I call friends who believe that 9/11 was an inside job, but I do not.  I believe it was a misguided, diabolical attempt to shudder American resolve and force us into appeasement with the followers of that ideological view that produced the attack.

When I hear government officials declare “no credible threat” from this or that group, I take that with a grain of salt and remain skeptical.  They have proven untrustworthy and willing to present misinformation and disinformation for their agenda.  The harm inflicted seems to be considered collateral damage of war. (Make no mistake, they are at war with the ideal of Republicanism).

In light of the resurgence of ISIS, Hamas, Hezbollah, Taliban, and other groups that hate America and Israel passionately, I believe that “no credible threat” means we do not have a clue what might be happening.  With the ineptitude of this administration and the nefariousness of those seeking to transform the Republic, I find it impossible to trust the rhetoric.

The terrorists of 2023 have no fear or little fear of retaliation by the United States for any acts they commit.  Recently, the head of Hezbollah made this chilling declaration, “To the Americans, I say to you remember your defeats in Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, and remember how you humiliatingly withdrew from Afghanistan.”  He did not stop there but continued, “Your Navy ships in the Mediterranean Sea don’t scare us, and they never did.”  That is beyond bold.  Is it all talk and no action?  Maybe, but in light of their actions of late, I doubt it.  They are unafraid of this administration, and when terrorists are fearless, they become bold.

As with many recent protests by the Leftists and haters of America and Israel, I was disturbed by the signs that read, “Hate Has No Home,” beside signs that were filled with intense hate for Israel and for all of us who fail to bow at their ideological altar.  Terrorists have no concern with the philosophy, “see something, say something,” that is employed in some Free nations but not so much in modern America.  They expect to find many useful idiots on our college campuses and in our houses of government, giving them a free pass.  That will not bode well for us.

We have another ominous threat that concerns me as much, if not more, than the others.  That threat is Communist China.  China is a facilitator of terrorism in any region that meets its ideological agenda and desire for world dominance.  The growth of the Chinese War Machine should be deeply concerning for all freedom-loving people. 

The open border is a doorway for Chinese special operations teams to gain entry to our soil, undetected or ignored.  If China decides to attack Taiwan, what will we do?  If we do anything, will it destabilize conditions within our borders to the extent that terrorists and military operatives, such as the Chinese special operations team, have the opportunity to attack on our shore?  I believe that possibility is another reason to control the border and enforce our immigration laws.

We have information that it is ‘highly likely’ that there have already been Chinese military personnel who have gained access via the eradicated southern border.  If you add to that mix the sleeper cells of terrorists and activists already in place, you have a boiling cauldron of danger that can erupt at any moment.  Would we be prepared?  I would have argued in the past, maybe, but today, I would say it is doubtful.

China is adept at cyber warfare and biological warfare and has an almost endless supply of human bodies they can afford to sacrifice to gain the upper hand.  The sinister and godless have no concern for human lives; they care about their agenda.  We have slept too long while the fox was raiding the henhouse.  We have ignored real threats and vilified anyone who called attention to them as being phobic.

COVID-19’s questions as to the origin and intent of the virus should cause chill bumps to run up and down our spines and cause us to be on alert.  One nuclear blast in our atmosphere (Electromagnetic Pulse – EMP) would shut down our electric and communications grids and render us defenseless.   What happens if they attack our water supply or release some incredibly dangerous and deadly airborne virus in our major cities?  Are we prepared? 

I believe that we are on the brink of such cataclysmic chaos that the world will willingly relinquish its freedoms for the promise of protection and provision.  The steady increase of illicit drugs such as fentanyl is a form of hybrid warfare from China.  Why do I say that?  Because the illegal fentanyl that is being smuggled into the United States originates in China.  The total opioid overdose deaths in the United States in one-year amounts to more than the total losses in the Vietnam War.   China is a dangerous enemy of freedom.

Sadly, this administration seems to be owned by the Chinese Government and offers a few limp words of warning but has no ability or willingness to take the firm stand required to cause the Chicoms to back off.  Why back off when you have no fear of the ones you are targeting?  America, we have some clear and present dangers that we do not have the luxury of ignoring.

We need God!  We must return to the Bible and our moral moorings rooted in the precepts of God’s Word.  We must return to patriotism and experience a resurgence of pride in our Republic.  If we value freedom, we must commit ourselves to doing what we can and what is needed to preserve that freedom for ourselves and our posterity.  I stand firm for Faith, Family, and Freedom!

MY COUNTRY ‘TIS OF THEE, SWEET LAND OF LIBERTY…


The song “America” voices some thoughts that I believe should be renewed in the hearts and minds of every American citizen today.  Please allow me a moment to go through them with you:

            My country, ‘tis of thee,

            Sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing.

            land where my fathers died,

            land of the pilgrims’ pride,

            from every mountainside, let freedom ring!

Land of Liberty!  Land, where our fathers died and those coming to this new world took pride in what they could build, and our founding fathers risked everything to secure for us.  That should be shouted from every mountain, valley, and hill.  The bell of freedom has tolled for centuries and now is in danger of tolling no more!

            My native country, thee,

            Land of the noble free, thy name I love.

            I love thy rocks and rills,

            thy woods and templed hills.

            my heart with rapture thrills, like that above.

America has been a bastion of freedom and a symbol of liberty that has stirred the hearts of people worldwide to drink its waters and share in its opportunities.  Today, we are at the precipice of destruction and must renew our commitment to restoring the foundations that are beginning to be damaged.

            Let music swell the breeze,

            and ring from all the trees sweet freedom’s song.

            let mortal tongues awake.

            let all that breathe partake.

            let rocks, their silence break, the sound prolong.

Oh, to hear freedom’s song being the theme song throughout the land again.  To hear tongues awakened and all living take up the anthem and make it ring so loudly and proudly that even the rocks cry out.

            Our Father’s God, to thee,

            author of liberty, to thee we sing.

            Long may our land be bright

            with freedom’s holy light;

            protect us by thy might, great God, our King.

That is the key to our restoration in this great nation.  It was founded upon the principles of God and recognized God as the author of liberty and the hand of divine providence in guiding our leaders to secure our freedom.  They recognized that without His help and guidance, they could not succeed, nor could the nation survive.  Today, there is an assault on God, our faith, and this nation from within and without. 

Dare we do less than return to the Lord with a whole heart?  May God provide guidance and grace for America to return to her former state of greatness as “one nation under God with liberty and justice for all.”

I CAN HEAR THE FOUNDERS TURNING OVER IN THEIR GRAVES…


One can only imagine how the Founding Fathers would react if they stepped on the political scene today and saw the massive amounts of money invested in securing political office.  I am convinced they would deem it so contrary to their desire for a non-professional system of public servants called legislators and Presidents that they would weep. 

They would question, as do I, why so much money is willingly poured into securing an office that produces such a paltry amount of income compared to what is being spent.  They would logically conclude that it has to do with Power, Influence, and Control rather than Public Service and would be Irate! 

They would have much the same reaction as Jesus concerning the money changers in the Temple and John the Baptist to the Pharisees who came to him to be baptized.  They would question the motives and would likely urge the populace to clean house every term or two, sending a steady flow of fresh new blood to Washington.  They would hope to convey the message that those elected officials have a responsibility and duty to represent the people, protect and defend the United States, and honor the Constitution.

Today, Political Action Committees (PACS) and an innumerable number of special interest groups clamor for the attention of all candidates, especially those they deem likely to be elected.  They seek to create a sense of obligation or gratitude on the part of the candidate so that they will be favorable to their positions, agendas, and/or goals.  In short, they are buying politicians.  What better way to ensure that you get “inside information,” “favoritism” in negotiations, and anchor yourself and your business interests in the “good ole boy” or “cronyism” system that is prevalent in DC today?

Suppose you are fed up, as I am, with the current way of doing business in Washington, DC.  If you desire to see America restored to her core principles and values, it is time to awaken from our slumber and do our due diligence to determine which candidates are best suited to fulfill that dream.  We may have to accept lesser individuals initially, but if we stay the course, we can, in a few election cycles, convey the message that we demand a return to our constitutional roots.

  • We can convey that we demand the Constitution be followed. 
  • We demand that the rule of law be adhered to. 
  • We demand that life be given the sanctity that God gives it. 
  • We demand that there be no more career politicians in Washington or the State Houses. 
  • We demand that God be put back in our schools, our churches be allowed to worship freely as guaranteed by the Constitution, and as the Founders, the wisdom of the Bible be sought in making laws and developing policies for this nation.

It seems that the only religion that the argument of “Separation of Church & State” ever arises is regarding the Christian faith.  It seems we are the only ones the government believes are guilty of “offending” others.  Then, with an overly aggressive desire to be Politically Correct, many have been booted out of Public Schools, Public Buildings, and Public Grounds.  Too many Christians have bought the flawed argument that government must be “secular only” and the Church “dare not engage in anything political.” 

That is foreign to the Bible and the ideology and actions of the Founders and the Constitution.  The First Amendment does not mandate the separation of Church and state. It only mandates that the Federal Government Will Not be allowed to establish a National Religion and give it preferential treatment over other religions. 

I am a Christian and an American citizen, and I have a LIFE that cannot be compartmentalized into “work life, business life, social life, spiritual life, and political life.”  I am not a cat; I do not have nine lives.  I have a Life that affects everything around me, including politics.  That is why I am so driven to educate all I can and seek to see America restored.  I do it for the sake of Freedom and the Kingdom of God!

ARE WE AT WAR WITH GOD and OURSELVES?


My title may be confusing and may even cause some to sneer at the thoughts I desire to present in this blog post.  I am 100% a Constitutionalist and believe that everyone has a Constitutional and God-given right to form their own opinion and to express that peacefully and hopefully respectfully.  The fact that someone disagrees with me does not justify vilification and vitriol on my part or theirs. 

As an American citizen, a Vietnam veteran, a patriot, a Christian, and a defender of the Constitution, I believe that I have a mandate from God and my conscience to speak out when I see things that are unholy, unhealthy, and destructive.  One of the commissions I believe I have from God is to be a Watchman on the Walls and sound the alarm when danger is impending. 

That call or commission does not make me special; it only makes me obedient.  If I saw a child in danger, I would not be silent or inactive.  I would feel compelled to sound the alarm and do what I could to alleviate that danger and protect that child.  I have done that with children, animals, and people, which sometimes got me in trouble.  However, the danger of being misunderstood will not deter my desire to help people.

Are we at War with God and Ourselves?  One of the reasons I ask that question dates back to the Lyndon B. Johnson administration.  At that time, the family was strong, and there was a healthy respect for God and a willingness to allow the Bible to be a national part of our lives.  The Johnson Great Society was anything but great and has proven incredibly destructive for the family.  It promoted a myriad of things that were anti-biblical and anti-family.  The War with God took a step forward during that time.

The insanity of this administration to advance ideologies of things detrimental to strong families, moral rightness, and faith makes my question even more critical.  The influx or invasion at the southern border of those with anything but a desire for peace or tranquility is alarming.  With the many other dangers, there is the incredibly dire flow of illicit drugs, and that is translating into the loss of thousands of lives daily in America. 

The enslavement of people, especially our young, is providing the foundation for the escalation of the War with God and our Republic.  Minds that are warped and rendered incapable of rational thought but able to vote are being used as tools to destroy the fabric of our Republic, weaken the pillars of the family, and divert allegiance from God to self in epic proportions. 

The Black community was affected in the direst fashion by the 1964 Acts of Johnson’s Great Society.  The family unit before that time was reasonably strong, and two-parent families with a mother and a father were prevalent.  Today, that is almost an anomaly or an aberration.

The role of the family in shaping society by shaping lives is an inescapable reality that today’s government and ideologues are working hard to prevent.  Thus, we have the push in our public schools to allow children as young as seven or eight to determine their sexual and gender identity without parental consent.  That is beyond insane; it is diabolical.  It is not an action rooted in a desire to help those children but to transform society into the ideological view the activist desires.

The dependency and entitlement mentality that has been engendered through activism and government programs is shredding our Republic’s foundations.  Ronald Reagan said that the best social program was a job, which is in harmony with the declaration of the Apostle Paul in 2 Thessalonians 3:10.  Paul affirmed that a person who “would not” work should not be provided for.  The operative and key word is “would not” rather than “could not.”  Benovelance and any sense of godliness would demand that we care for those who “can not,” but if that “have not” is self-inflicted, we have no such obligation.

Benjamin Franklin succulently declared, “I am for doing good to the poor, but…I think the best way of doing good to the poor is not making them easy in poverty but leading or driving them out of it. I observed…that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.”

I agree with Newt Gingrich that the destruction of the family was not inevitable. It was intentional and diabolical.  It is not a small part of the effort to ‘fundamentally transform’ America into something other than the Free Constitutional Republic established by our Founders.  The Great Society inflicted incredible damage by making the poor even poorer. It forced them to become dependent upon the government dole, thereby controlling them and pushing them away from faith, family, and independence.

The new Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, has openly declared his belief in and commitment to God and the truths of the Bible.  He is being vilified by some on both sides of the political aisle for that position.  The activists and some religious leaders demand that there be nothing of God in government and thereby place us on the altar of humanism, secularism, and self.  Without God and the moral precepts of the Bible and Christianity, America would not be, and if it were, it would not be Free.  Our laws are deeply rooted in the Ten Commandments and Bible precepts.

Someone said Speaker Johnson has a vision of government that is restorative to biblical, moral, and constitutional principles.  I hope that is right.  In that declaration, it was asserted that Speaker Johnson’s purpose was to advance a government that was one of greater integrity than we have endured for decades.  He envisions a government that solves problems rather than creates them.  That is only possible when the War with God ceases, and we stop shooting ourselves in the foot with self-serving ideological agendas rather than Republic strengthening.

We need an awakening of the value of family, morality, civility, and justice.  William Blackstone, recognized as the father of modern law, believed that our legal system originated not with the American Constitution but with the Bible.  The more we allow the government to enact rules and decrees that dominate our lives and control our daily activities, the further we will drift from our origin.  We will continue to drift toward a godless society, and when you empty society of God, it is then filled with evil.  It never remains empty. 

We need to return to moral sanity, integrity, and honesty and renew a work ethic in America.  We need strong families that influence and shape young lives to become productive, law-abiding citizens, not deranged ideological lunatics.  We need the influence of the Bible, something recognized by our Founders.  If we continue on the current trajectory, we will find that our War with God and Ourselves has borne the fruit of destruction, and our Republic will be lost.

I am less concerned with anyone’s opinion of me and my view than I am about sounding the alarm and pleading with everyone to return to our moral roots and the things that enabled America to become a Republic and will enable us to continue.  I stand for Faith, Family, and Freedom.

IT MAY BE TIME TO REINTRODUCE PATRICK HENRY’S SPEECH…


I have chosen to post this and credit David Barton and Wall Builders for their research and commitment to Constitutional Liberty and the Christian Faith.  I have become so disturbed by what I see happening in the political world. I wonder if and when we will be called upon to make the kind of statements and commitment our Founding Fathers made in 1776 to bring this Nation into existence. 

What will it take for us to see a restored Constitutional Republican Democracy that they established for us?  What will it take for us to get our Republic back?  What sacrifices, commitments, and costs will be involved?  How many will be willing to pay the ultimate price for those of future generations, and how many will cede our liberty to the powers that be without any resistance?  I do not know the answers to those questions for others, but I do know them for myself.  I invite you to read this speech and let it sink into your hearts again.

No man thinks more highly than I do of the patriotism, as well as abilities, of the very worthy gentlemen who have just addressed the House. But different men often see the same subject in different lights, and, therefore, I hope it will not be thought disrespectful to those gentlemen if, entertaining as I do opinions of a character very opposite to theirs, I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve. This is no time for ceremony. The questing before the House is one of awful moment to this country.

For my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery and, in proportion to the magnitude of the subject, ought to be the freedom of the debate. It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself guilty of treason towards my country and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings.

Mr. President, it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts. Is this the part of wise men engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty? Are we disposed to be of the number of those who, having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not [Jer. 5:21], the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation?

For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth, to know the worst, and to provide for it. I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience. I know of no way of judging of the future but by the past.

And judging by the past, I wish to know what there has been in the conduct of the British ministry for the last ten years to justify those hopes with which gentlemen have been pleased to solace themselves and the House. Is it that insidious smile with which our petition has been lately received? Trust it not, sir; it will prove a snare to your feet. Suffer not yourselves to be betrayed with a kiss [Matt. 26:48]. Ask yourselves how this gracious reception of our petition comports with those warlike preparations that cover our waters and darken our land.

Are fleets and armies necessary to a work of love and reconciliation? Have we shown ourselves so unwilling to be reconciled that force must be called in to win back our love? Let us not deceive ourselves, sir. These are the implements of war and subjugation, the last arguments to which kings resort. I ask, gentlemen, sir, what means this martial array if its purpose be not to force us to submission? Can gentlemen assign any other possible motive for it? Has Great Britain any enemy, in this quarter of the world, to call for all this accumulation of navies and armies? No, sir, she has none. They are meant for us; they can be meant for no other. They are sent over to bind and rivet upon us those chains which the British ministry have been so long forging. And what have we to oppose to them? Shall we try argument? Sir, we have been trying that for the last ten years.

Have we anything new to offer upon the subject? Nothing. We have held the subject up in every light of which it is capable, but it has been all in vain. Shall we resort to entreaty and humble supplication? What terms shall we find which have not been already exhausted? Let us not, I beseech you, sir, deceive ourselves. Sir, we have done everything that could be done to avert the storm which is now coming on.

We have petitioned; we have remonstrated; we have supplicated; we have prostrated ourselves before the throne and have implored its interposition to arrest the tyrannical hands of the ministry and Parliament. Our petitions have been slighted; our remonstrances have produced additional violence and insult; our supplications have been disregarded; and we have been spurned, with contempt, from the foot of the throne! In vain, after these things, may we indulge the fond hope of peace and reconciliation. There is no longer any room for hope.

If we wish to be free– if we mean to preserve inviolate those inestimable privileges for which we have been so long contending–if we mean not basely to abandon the noble struggle in which we have been so long engaged, and which we have pledged ourselves never to abandon until the glorious object of our contest shall be obtained–we must fight! I repeat it, sir, we must fight! An appeal to arms and to the God of hosts is all that is left us!

They tell us, sir, that we are weak, unable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week or the next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot? Sir, we are not weak if we make a proper use of those means which the God of nature hath placed in our power. The millions of people, armed in the holy cause of liberty and in such a country as that which we possess, are invincible by any force which our enemy can send against us. Besides, sir, we shall not fight our battles alone.

There is a just God who presides over the destinies of nations and who will raise up friends to fight our battles for us [2 Chron. 32:8]. The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone [Eccl. 9:11]; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave. Besides, sir, we have no election. If we were base enough to desire it, it is now too late to retire from the contest. There is no retreat but in submission and slavery! Our chains are forged! Their clanking may be heard on the plains of Boston! The war is inevitable–and let it come! I repeat it, sir, let it come.

It is in vain, sir, to extenuate the matter. Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace– but there is no peace [Jer. 6:14]. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle [Matt. 20:6]? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!

TOTALITARIANISM IN AMERICA?


Is it possible that America is drifting or rushing toward Totalitarianism?  The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind and the words of the Leftists in Washington and elsewhere.  If what they say accurately reflects what they desire, it is a resounding YES! 

The only question is how much will the voting public put up with?  How deceived are the masses?  How willing to be led like sheep to the slaughter are we as a nation?  Just a few years ago, I would not be asking those questions, but with the past decade or so of events, I not only ask them but am horrified by the likely answers.

As I watch the antics and actions of the national Democrats and the corporate Wokeism, I am convinced that is the endgame they have in mind.  The terms ‘fascism’ and ‘dictatorship’ are being used to silence all dissent and disagreement.  Sadly, I watch as the Republicans in Congress frequently cower in the shadows, fearing being labeled in an unappealing manner.  

I sometimes would like to use the grade school chant to them, “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.”  They fear words more than actions.  They seem to be so aware of the media that they clamor for favorable reviews from sources that will never give it.  They seem to believe that if they cower in silence, the storms will pass, and all will be Utopia.  It Will Not!

The almost identical tactics and path followed by Joseph Stalin and Adolf Hitler are being used today by the Leftists.  It is more than a little troubling, and the incredible impotence of those in Washington who should resist is alarming.  Where have all the backbones gone?  Does anyone in Washington have a spine or a conscience?  Do we, the people, matter to any of them?  I wish I could answer favorably, but the signs do not provide that hope.

Let me offer the Wikipedia definition of totalitarianism.  I know Wikipedia is not usually a reliable source, but its definition is quite good.

“Totalitarianism is a form of government and a political system that prohibits all opposition parties, outlaws individual and group opposition to the state and its claims, and exercises an extremely high if not complete degree of control and regulation over public and private life. It employs all-encompassing campaigns in which propaganda is broadcast by state-controlled mass media in order to control the citizenry.”

That is incredibly accurate and easily understood.  The complete control and regulation that ensued during the COVID-19 Pandemic is an example of how they literally took control of our lives with almost no pushback.  That was amazing.  America has shifted from being the beacon of hope, liberty, and freedom to a politically suppressed society that is almost on life support. 

Howard Zinn, a Socialist historian, said, “Dissent is the highest form of patriotism.”  Wow!  I recall failed presidential candidate socialist Hillary Clinton saying, “We need to stand up and say we’re Americans, and we have the right to debate and disagree with any administration.”  Compare that to the actions of the Biden-Garland-Obama junta that has taken a direction in the opposite direction. 

The allegations against the Biden family are countered with indictments against Donald Trump, their political nemesis.  If questioning an election is a crime, then most all of the Democrats in Washington should be under indictment.  They question when they are not in the winner’s bracket, but no questions are allowed if they are.  Those actions smack of totalitarianism.

I do not want to get into the indictments against Trump, but I will reflect that there seems to be zero concern about the 1st Amendment or the Supreme Court precedent.  The trial will be in the court of Obama appointee U.S. District Court Judge Tanya Chutkan.  Who is she?  She is the judge who handed down harsher than recommended sentences for the January 6 defendants.  Trump’s trial will be in Washington, D.C., where 92.2% of the 2020 presidential votes went for Biden.  The jury pool will share the judge’s prejudice. Basically, he is guilty unless he can have a change of venue and somehow have an impartial jury. 

The many totalitarian actions being pursued today have caused many to believe that the American system of government is to be short-lived in its current form.  I hope they are wrong, but something has to give and change for us to survive as the Free Constitutional Republic we were established to be.

If the globalists, Marxists, Socialists, and Totalitarians get their way, the U.S. will cede its sovereign powers to the United Nations, the WHO, and other diabolical international entities.  Some freedom-minded patriots are working diligently to see a restoration of constitutional governance and reigning in the rogue federal government.  Will their efforts succeed?  Possibly, only God knows, and only time will tell.  Something has to happen.  No republic can remain free if the usurpation of the constitution is allowed to become the norm.

I agree with those who contend that our federal government, as it operates today, is operating as an extra-constitutional, illegitimate system.  States’ rights are being infringed, as are our individual rights, privileges, and liberties.  The American Constitution was not designed to eliminate the rights of the individual states but to protect them.  That is not the mindset of the modern leftists.  They are waging war on the Constitution, and most Americans are sitting in silence, watching it transpire.

If we were to magically return to the Constitution, it is estimated that 99% of the federal government would be tossed into the trash bin.  The words of James Madison in The Federalist Papers (45) resonate.

“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined.  Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite.  The former will be exercised principally on external objects, such as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce, with which, last, the power of taxation will mostly be connected.  The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State.”

Simply stated, the individual states and the American people delegated a small number of powers to the federal government.  If you research, you will discover that there are only eighteen enumerated legislative powers in Article I, Section 8.  The 9th & 10th Amendments make it extremely clear that ALL other powers remain with the states and the people. 

How did we allow this to transpire?  The answers would be too numerous and lengthy to attempt.  Suffice it to say that we slept while the political elitists stripped us of our Constitutional Rights and governance.  We are being destroyed from within, as our founders warned. 

We have a Constitution and a System of Government that would provide us with a Republic. Still, the politicians have ignored it for so long; they know the public has neither the information nor the aspiration to truly reign them in.  They are, in their minds, our overlords.  God help us to wake up!
