HEY AMERICA, WHERE DID OUR LIBERTIES GO?

Have you noticed the individual liberties and freedoms we’ve lost or that have been diluted to the point of being unrecognizable?  It’s a serious erosion that demands our attention.   It’s crucial that we critically evaluate political agendas and their potential consequences.  The needs of the many should never outweigh the rights of the few.

The Obama administration sought to regulate everything, even what we could eat or what our kids could eat in schools.  The Biden administration has escalated that, and a Harris administration would likely put the finishing touches on Obama’s desired fundamental transformation.

The Democratic platform is more of the same, and it has even expanded during the last two Democratic administrations in their policies and ideologies.   Theirs is a continual assault on virtually all of our Freedoms and Liberties.   The Constitution is meaningless to them unless they can use it to advance their agenda.   They want us to become beholding to the Federal Government for our existence.  They want us to become so dependent and fearful of Big Brother that we dare not voice a word of opposition lest we get cut off from the dole.

The continual effort to build the base of “dependent voters” is never-ending.   The spin to vilify corporations and successful people has been used for centuries. It is designed to separate people and win them over to the argument of the despot so that they will willingly relinquish their rights and liberties, thinking that this benevolent dictator will look out for their interests with a pure heart.  It never works out that way, but the sheep still follow the pied piper and drink the Kool-Aid as though it were the nectar of life.

Under Donald Trump, it became easier to start a new business, but the plans of the Leftists make it a virtual impossibility to succeed.   There is so much governmental paperwork and regulation that the cost of attempting to produce your idea is often prohibitive.  That is a pathway to stifle American ingenuity.   The mandates in Obamacare were the tip of the iceberg of what they desire and are pushing for.

The class and race antagonism being overtly and covertly pushed by the Left will bring us to a place where martial law would be expected and possibly required.  I wonder how much of the coronavirus pandemic was manufactured by the nefarious in the world to bring us to our knees in submission.   I can never forget the words of Rahm Emanuel, “Never let a crisis go to waste.”   That is their philosophy, and if there is no natural crisis, one is precipitated to ensure the conditions to accomplish their goals.

America, we are witnessing our inalienable rights as provided by God and recognized in the Constitution and Declaration of Independence taken from us “by little and by little.”   Some have been so slowly eroded that we did not notice they were gone until after the fact, and once they are gone, it is virtually impossible to see them restored.

The government is seldom reduced in size. It may be held in check for a time, but once something like the stimulus is out there, it becomes part of the baseline budget, and we get it every year without another vote and the consent of We the People!

If we genuinely want to reduce the deficit and debt, we must adopt a “zero-based budget.”  The politicians on both sides of the aisle, especially the Left, wish to maintain their “baseline budget.”   That budget grows every year and will increase every year even if it reduces the amount or percentage of its growth.   It allows the behemoth called the federal government to continue being a monster, leaving us no ability to feed or control.  That would be true even if we took 100% of our income and applied it to government expenditures.

The idea of cutting the military by over 70% as under Obama and eliminating various portions of our armed forces is deadly.   The claim that we are spending too much on defense is ludicrous.  Over 70% of the Federal Budget goes to individual entitlements or subsidies.  It’s not the military that is the problem, although I agree that waste needs to be addressed.   Yet, national defense is a major function of the federal government, so how can we rationally pare down our military to the point where we place this land at risk because of the lack of equipment or manpower to defend it?

I ask that each of you think about these things, and whatever you do, vote in every election to remove those whose views are contrary to freedom, liberty, the Constitution, and America first.   If you do not vote, you are voting through the back door for a continuation of this policy and ideology that we are having shoved down our throats and the continued stripping away of our liberties.

I want change, and I continually hope that Americans will “awaken out of sleep,” see the handwriting on the wall, and cast a ballot to Restore America to the foundational principles and operations that our Founders envisioned and implemented.

My plea is, “Can I Have My Country Back, Please?”   Benjamin Franklin’s words keep ringing in my ears and wandering through the corridors of my mind these days.   When asked what type of government the Constitution was bringing into existence, he said, “A republic if you can keep it.”

I look back at the history of this nation, and except for the tragedy of slavery, the United States that came into existence was a nation where people could engage in any occupation or venture into any economic endeavor without a government license, permit, or regulation. People could travel anywhere in the world without restrictions (no passports) and trade with anyone they choose without getting the government’s permission.

We have been a nation where people can amass unlimited amounts of wealth with no governmental interference because the Constitution did not originally permit the government to levy income taxes. People are free to do whatever they want with their own money. They can save, spend, donate, invest, hoard, or even destroy it if they want to.  That changed, and we are paying the price for it with a loss of freedom.

The government wasn’t allowed to take care of people.   That was the task of family, churches, local communities, and individuals.   There was no social security (and therefore no social security taxes or contributions withheld from one’s pay), Medicare, Medicaid, welfare, education grants, or even foreign aid.  There was no war on drugs, poverty, or wealth.

Today, we have a government that places such a burden on businesses and individuals through taxes, restrictions, and regulations that we can hardly breathe, much less excel.   We have a President who wants more and more control over every detail of our lives and a Congress that seems willing to go along with those desires as they line their pockets, insulate their positions of power, and participate in living the life of an Elite Ruling Class.  This is a far cry from what the Founders envisioned, planned, and tried to prevent, and would raise a call to arms if they were here today.

So, I ask Congress, the President, the Supreme Court, Churches, and every governmental agency in existence, “Can I have my country back?”  I don’t like what you’ve done to it and want to rescind your claim to it, your power over it, and your handling of it.

We, the People, want to take over and desire that you step aside and find gainful employment in the workforce like the rest of us.  We ask that you not live a life of luxury by placing the burden of paying for it on the backs of hard-working, tax-paying citizens.  Simply,

We Want Our Country Back! From this day forward, I, as a natural-born legal citizen, will Vote to take it back from your control in every election. If those elected do not honor this request, then in the next election, I will Vote to send you back home, too. I will do that and try to get as many people to join me as possible in every election until those who go to Washington and the State capitals Listen to what we are asking. We want our Country back!

God bless you, and God bless America!

Politics, Religion, and Life…

I am a Christian, a minister of the gospel, a natural-born American citizen, a Vietnam veteran, a husband, father, grandfather, and friend of freedom.   Everything I do and all of my views are rooted firmly in my faith and upbringing.  I am unashamedly committed to Faith, Family, and Freedom!

The number of times I have been chided for being vocal on the political scene is so numerous that they are almost uncountable.  I have long contended that politics is a part of life, and as a believer, I am to address life and sound the alarm when I see danger on any front.  That includes the political.

I do not believe that pastors should make politics their focus. Still, I also believe they should be open to addressing fundamental issues of biblical importance that affect life, parenting, and morals.  Sometimes, silence is consent or gives the impression that we are okay with violations of God’s precepts and moral sanity.  I am unable to be silent when I see danger.

In today’s America, politics has become one of the, if not the paramount, issues faced today. I agree with someone who said, “Politics is taking over life.”  For many, it is the consuming occupation of their waking thoughts, and they are either overflowing with hope or becoming manically depressed by what they see.

Politics no longer allows us to let the politicians handle the politics and demands that we follow the example of the ministers in the Revolutionary War Era and throughout history (world and biblical).  We cannot ignore family finances without facing the danger of potential fiscal ruin.  We cannot ignore our children’s behavior without endangering them to moral, societal, and eternal ruin.  We cannot ignore relational issues without inviting estrangement that permanently divides.  Nor can we ignore the political scene because politics impacts every dimension of our lives today.

Emphatically, let me say, “We cannot fix what is wrong in America or the world at the ballot box.  However, we cannot ignore the ballot box and hope to repair the damage and see restoration.”   I believe the only real solution will be enacted upon our knees in intercessory prayer and a return to moral sanity.  By that, I mean returning to God and allowing our hearts to be changed by the Grace of God.

Today’s world is so filled with animosity that many on both sides of the political, social, and religious aisles believe that ‘hate’ is justified.  They refuse to work alongside or cooperate with anyone who differs in ideology from them.  Politics was never to become the most crucial thing in life but secondary and a tool to establish the Republic, advancing the ideals in the Declaration of Independence.  “All are created equal by our Creator and have inalienable rights to pursue Life, Liberty, and Happiness.”

Today, the government has become more than ‘Big Brother;’ it has sought to become God! It has been said that ‘History repeats itself.’ In my 70-plus years on the planet, I have observed that if we ignore a problem, it does not get better but worsens.  The fallacious idea that the founding fathers desired an impenetrable wall of separation between church and state to evict all mention and involvement of God and the Bible from the public debate has weakened the pillars of freedom upon which this Republic was established.

Where is America headed? I have an opinion and a concern that it could become an afterthought in history.   However, I believe that God is still on the Throne and can and will help this nation if we follow His precepts and return to our moral moorings.

History reveals what will happen if we continue on our current course. I cite the fall of Constantinople in centuries past. That city had stood as the capital of the Roman Empire for 1,000 years. It was thought to be impregnable, but it fell due to the persistence of Muslim Sultan Mehmed II and some defenders of the city abandoning their posts.

The Genoese warriors, about 700 valiant fighters, were defending the most vulnerable parts of the wall. They were spread extremely thin, and although they repulsed the assailants twice, their captain was wounded. Then, for whatever reason, the Genoese warriors abandoned their positions and left the most vulnerable part of the wall unprotected. The city fell.

Today, we have those who insist they cannot vote for Donald Trump because he is a flawed individual (which of us isn’t?)  They insist that voting for him is not an option for various reasons.  Some of them include harsh tweets and abortion issues (pro and con).  They seemingly ignore what transpired under his administration compared to this administration.  How that can be is beyond my ability to comprehend.

If we vote on personality, we vote on the wrong thing!  This is not a personality contest. It is a fight for survival.  It is a fight for freedom.  Trump is not the threat to “democracy” as claimed by the Left and the media.  The edicts, actions, laws, and agenda of the Left are a threat to the Republic.  Will we survive if the Democrats remain in power?  Will we come through it as the Free Constitutional Republic we have known? We probably will survive, but it is unlikely that we will be even remotely recognizable as the founded Republic.   But again, my confidence is in God, not government.

The Supreme Court is at stake, and the addition of left-leaning territories such as Puerto Rico and Washington DC will likely become states, shifting the balance of power dramatically.   The incredibly bad 45% capital gains tax proposed by Harris and a 25% unrealized gains tax will shudder our economy and personal finances.  The border will be nonexistent, and Medicare and Medicaid will likely be bankrupted, as well as Social Security.  The oil and gas industry will be devastated, possibly causing inflation to become hyper and the cost of goods and services to be astronomical.  Can we survive?  Possibly and maybe even probably.  Will it be good?  NO!

The most popular quote of the 20th century, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing,” is relevant. That may sound pedestrian and innocuous, but it has a far greater relevance than most want to acknowledge. Sometimes, silence and refusal to vote are approvals of what we oppose or a backdoor vote for what we do not desire.

The only perfect man was Jesus Christ.  God has used and will continue to use flawed vessels to achieve His purposes, so I urge you to consider the cost of not voting or withholding your vote for Trump.  He proved to be good for America, and the Biden-Harris team was bad for America.  I stand for Faith, Family, and Freedom, so I will vote for Donald J. Trump in November.  Love me or hate me, I believe that he is our best option as president.

God bless you, and God bless America!

POLITICS, HEALTH, AND LIFE…

I have become increasingly concerned about the meaning and value of life in today’s society.  The regulations, requirements, mandates, restrictions, and legal ramifications imposed on doctors and medical facilities have dramatically diminished the primary commitment of that world.  The focus should be on providing the absolute best healthcare possible without the influence of politics.

I am not unaware of the cost factor and the desire for profitability in business, including hospitals and medical practitioners.  Healthcare cannot be provided at no cost, and if we embraced government-run universal healthcare, we would still not resolve the issues existing.

With the COVID pandemic, we have seen a paradigm shift in what is most valuable in healthcare.  The health and well-being of the patient should be paramount.  Some patients need to be educated about proper body care and fueling.  Some need to be consoled and led softly into the dark world of terminal diseases.

Healthcare must not be allowed to become nothing more than a business where numbers and dollars are the driving factors.  The value of that human being must be at the core of the equation.  My family physician exhibits the attitude of a caring healthcare provider more concerned about the health and well-being of his patients than how much or how much is gained economically.

In America, through the valiant efforts of researchers and practitioners in the medical community, we virtually conquered many prevalent diseases in my childhood.  Today, those diseases are being reintroduced due to politics.  We are facing an influx of diseases that have been virtually nonexistent for decades.

One of the primary reasons for this is politics and profit.  We are being exposed to diseases such as tuberculosis, polio, and many other diseases due to an open border.  We are allowing people to flood into our Republic from various parts of the world who are carriers and contagious with long conquered diseases.

The health commissioner of New York City released a report that due to the influx of migrants flooding in from the southern border (50,000 plus last year into that city), they were seeing a resurgence of contagious diseases that included tuberculosis and polio.  That is equally true in the border states and every state where the migrants are allowed to reside.

If my research is correct, tuberculosis is a bacterial infection.  It is treatable with antibiotics but takes six to nine months to conquer.  That is not easy or cheap.  Some do not recover, and without isolation, they expose countless others, opening the door to a pandemic.  These unvetted migrants are not isolated or quarantined, and the ongoing damage will result in thousands of lives lost or dramatically affected.

Tuberculosis spreads through the air, like the flu or a cold.  The Health Commission of NYC indicated that the rise in known cases is more than double the national rate.  He also indicated that about 88% of those infected were people born outside the United States.

Disease is one of the significant reasons for having a controlled border. There are many other reasons, but that alone should demand that we act decisively and quickly.  Are American lives secondary to political agendas, and is the collateral damage viewed as the loss of lives in war?  Is the political quest for power so strong that the callousness toward American lives makes it palatable and acceptable to endanger our citizens?

I believe we took a significant step in that direction in the 1970s when personal convenience and money outweighed the value of that innocent life in the womb.  With each new move toward genocide, we have increasingly become anesthetized by the reality that we are sacrificing lives for convenience and profit.  Where does that end?

For decades, we have watched the powerful and effective indoctrination efforts to devalue human life.  When politics, power, and profit control government, human lives move far down the societal ladder.  Many only cry wolf when it affects them personally and are callous when it does not.  We have tended to allow politicians to control politics and government and endanger humanity.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) claims to be looking out for the people.  That is a gross illusion.  As we have witnessed the curtain of corruption pulled back, we see more and more how the Health Care Swamp is almost as pervasive and powerful as the Deep State Swamp of Government.  Maybe they are peas in the same pod.

  • When profit exceeds the value of life, society is doomed!
  • When power exceeds the value of life, society and government are doomed!
  • When politicians and power brokers behind the scenes are allowed to use human beings as pawns on their chessboards, society is doomed!

Is there a solution?  Thank you for asking.  Yes, there is.  It is a return to the Constitution, the precepts and principles of biblical morality, and the sanctity of life.  The Golden Rule, as it is identified, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” is more than a good suggestion.  It protects against corruption and governmental genocide.  It defends against corporate greed and the politicization of everything.

2 Chronicles 7:14 is a solution, and for those of us who believe in God and have committed our lives to Him, it is our clarion call to action.  It is time that we repent of our personal wrongs and those of our nation.  It is time that we invited the Creator of All Things to come to our aid and guide us.  It is time that we returned to civility and moral sanity.  We must vet every candidate and demand they exhibit the willingness and desire to follow the Constitution and protect our freedoms.

We can see America return to greatness and her lofty perch as a Free Republic, but not without involvement, investment, and sacrifice.  I ask you to join those of us standing for Faith, Family, and Freedom!

God bless you, and God bless America!
