SOMETIMES THE PROBLEM IS NOT THE PROBLEM…

Yes, I am aware that my title could be viewed as nonsensical.  The problem is always the problem, right?  Sometimes, what is deemed the problem is not the real problem but only superficial.  I believe that is happening in American politics today.

The Left and the Right have a propensity to focus on the superficial because they do not want to address the core issues and find genuine solutions.  The Establishment continually engages in ‘wag the dog’ and ‘sleight of hand.’   They want us to focus on what they want us to focus on, like many magicians.  If they can divert our attention, they can work their magic and achieve their purpose without anyone being aware.

When we become aware and sound the alarm or ‘blow the whistle,’ they call us every derogatory name under heaven and insist that we are engaging in conspiracy theories.  That label causes multitudes to dismiss our contentions and revelations until it is too late to rectify the situation.  I am deeply concerned that we have allowed this ploy by the political elite to push us so near the precipice of destruction that going over the edge is the only likely result.

Some in the GOP are harping that Biden’s age is the problem.  I do not know if they genuinely believe that to be the problem or are engaging in diversion to shield themselves from scrutiny.  As a believer in God and the Bible and a lover of history and freedom, I cannot dismiss the exploits of some very seasoned citizens in the Bible and history.  Age is not my concern – cognitive ability is.

It should be impossible to miss the continual cognitive decline that Joe Biden is experiencing.  His often-bizarre behavior cannot be relegated to Joe being Joe and folksy. I realize that some people are incapable of giving an off-the-cuff speech or even cursorily reading their notes in giving a speech.

Joe’s inability to read the teleprompter without including the encrypted instructions is important.  His flying off the handle in anger, when challenged, is important.  Those are just a couple of the myriad of things that suggest a severe and progressive cognitive decline in the man.  I empathize with anyone in that condition; it must be hell on earth for them and their loved ones.

Another concern (problem) that cannot be overlooked is the abridgment and avoidance of the Constitution by elected officials, bureaucrats, and even justices.  Our system of republican government is only legitimate ‘with the consent of the people.’  If there is no consent, it loses its claim to legitimacy.  Sadly, both sides of the political aisle have flawed views of the federal government’s scope.

The history of America is the poster child of the Fight for Freedom!  The colonist in the late 1700s dared to throw off the chains of tyranny because of their conviction that God created us to live in freedom.  The bedrock convictions of our founding were that there was a God (Creator) and that He gave us inalienable (uninfringeable) rights that no government, group, sect, or person had the right to usurp.

We are not without kinks in our armor.  Every action that America has taken has not been righteous and just.  We endured a revolution, a civil war, two World Wars, and many other conflicts and wars.  Amazingly we managed to maintain our reference for the Constitution, the Bible, the family, and moral sanity.  Well, for the most part, we did.

We were not offended that men would be masculine and women feminine.  We were not threatened by little boys being little boys and little girls being little girls.  We viewed marriage and the family as a wholesome, if not sacred, institution.  We viewed working for what you had not only good but the only acceptable pathway to prosperity.  We respected our elders and were expected to respect the rights and property of others and their right to an opinion.  None of those things threatened us. We viewed them as right and normal.

Today and for more than a decade, there has been the unveiling of the ideology and agenda to achieve cultural sabotage and rewrite our American history.  Those saboteurs have gained a foothold in our educational, political, entertainment, sporting, business, and even religious sectors.  The common view by the indoctrinated is that our history is replete with racism, murder, hate, and inequity.  They have sought to brainwash the young and the ideologically susceptible and cause them to lose sight of who we are.  I weep over that.

We are rapidly finding ourselves under the Iron Curtain of Control, where tyranny, socialism, and the redefinition of America are becoming the definition of who we are.  I reject that, and even with our flaws and failures, we are still a beacon of Hope for the world.  Our Constitutional System of Government is a system that promotes individual liberty and freedom.  Are we still “One nation under God?”

In this coming presidential election in 2024, age is not an issue for me; purpose is!  The ideological agenda of the party and the candidate are of paramount importance.  The restoration of our American sovereignty and addressing the needs of the citizens are.  Returning to a government by the “consent of the people” is.  Returning to constitutionalism is.  Reducing the debt and deficit is.  Restoring the constitutional checks and balances is.

We have been moving toward an abdication of our constitutional structure where each branch performs specific roles.  Today, our Legislative Branch has, in a great measure, delegated or ceded its authority to the unaccountable and unelected administrative State.  Having bureaucrats with no amenability to the voters running the government is anathema to the founders’ intent.

We have a Judicial Branch that has morphed into legislating from the bench and rewriting our laws rather than ruling on their constitutionality.  We have an Executive Branch that, by its actions, advances the idea that it is an Imperial Branch.  That is not “consent of the people.” It is Tyranny!

I have been accused of being extreme regarding resistance to tyranny and obedience to God, the Constitution, and moral sanity.  I do not believe it is extreme to decry the illegitimate authority of the federal government when it refuses to follow the Rule of Law and the Constitution.  I include ignoring biblical precepts and principles, but some find that objectionable and not germane.

I applaud my home state and every state that takes a stand to secure the border and protect the citizens.  Texas has not only fought the insane open border policy of both Obama and Biden.  Recently the Texas Senate passed a bill to deny the right or ability of citizens of countries that pose a threat to the United States from purchasing farmland.  Bravo, Texas!  That needs to be a national law as well.  Farmland is a national security concern and a survival concern.

One more quick reflection that concerns me far more than a candidate’s age is the border and the many crimes committed by illegals.  Everyone is aware of the illegal invader in Texas that murdered five Honduran nationals in Cleveland, Texas.  Even the FBI asked, “What was this monster doing in this country?”  I immediately responded, “Ask Joe Biden and the Democrats demanding open borders.”

This individual had been deported FIVE TIMES!  His ability to avoid capture may speak of a network that enabled him to come and do what he did or for other illegal purposes.  It may speak of his knowledge of the system due to his frequent illegal entry into the USA.  His ability to secure a firearm with a criminal record speaks to the ineffectiveness of the gun control demands.  Criminals and the diabolical will get a weapon no matter what laws are passed.

America, we either unite to demand a return to governance by the “consent of the people” and restore the Constitution as our rule, or we will cease to be America as we know it.  In a measure, the decision is up to us.  We may not be able to attain that goal through voting alone. Still, we must begin the process of evicting from office all those who advance any governmental and ideological agenda that is not based on the Constitution and the “consent of the people.”   What will we do?

God bless you, and God bless America!
