COEXIST WITH EVIL?

I am unashamedly a Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ, an American patriot, a Vietnam veteran, a Constitutionalist, and a defender of Faith, Family, and Freedom.  I will, without hesitation, call evil what it is, EVIL.  What I am watching today on the world scene and in America causes me deep sorrow of heart and disappointment.  We are a chaotic world, heading for trouble like never before witnessed in our history.

In my studies of the Bible, humanity, and history, I have become convinced that it is IMPOSSIBLE to coexist with evil.  Evil cannot be transformed into good via legislation or governmental mandates.  Evil cannot be transformed into good by appeasement, hoping to insatiable demands it makes.  Evil must be recognized for what it is and combated by every legitimate means, or it spreads like cancer and destroys.

The apostle Paul declared in 2 Corinthians 6:14 – “Do not be unequally bound together with unbelievers [do not make mismatched alliances with them, inconsistent with your faith]. For what partnership can righteousness have with lawlessness? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness?” (Amplified Bible) That is a truth that is universal and unchanging.

The struggle in the Middle East is not a new phenomenon and will not be solved via man’s efforts.  This stems from hatred that dates back millenniums.   Some of those engaged in the modern struggle do not know why they hate; it is generational and has been ingrained in their psyche to the point it is who they are, not just what they believe or prefer.

The Bible gives us an understanding of what is happening and why it is happening, but many reject the biblical account as antiquated mythology and pigeonhole it as religious rhetoric.  In Genesis 15:16, God told Abraham that his heirs would not possess the land until the iniquity of the Amorites was complete.  The land was given to the Hebrews by God, and from that time to now, the inhabitants of the Middle East have exhibited an ingrained hate for the Jews.

Just because someone does not believe like we believe does not mean we are obligated to exterminate them and remove all their remembrance from history.  In our world, we live in neighborhoods and cities with an array of ideological and religious views.  If we allow hate to prevail and decide that obliterating everyone not believing or acting like us is the moral objective, we will find a condition of self-extermination prevalent.  The only possible result is chaos, confusion, conflict, and war.  That will make our lives a literal Hell on Earth.

In the Middle East, the followers of what some call ‘Radical Islam’ have vowed to push the Jewish people occupying the Land of Israel into the sea and exterminate them.  They have no desire for peaceful coexistence.  That leaves Israel with no choice if they hope to survive. They must defend themselves.

In the most recent Hamas terrorism, they have demonstrated the depth of evil in their hearts.  In the past, Israel has attempted to deal with their neighbors peacefully, with treaties and agreements that their neighbors violated.  The continual threat of attack forces every Israeli citizen to be prepared for war at all times and to work with one hand on the plow and the other on their sword.  That is a terrible way to live.

The claim that Hamas has taken the Moral High Ground is beyond ludicrous.  What moral and rational person would behead babies?  What moral person would find it acceptable and commendable to rape women in the presence of bloody body parts of their babies?  That is not civilized. It is beyond barbaric, and I call it demonic!  It is sub-human and demonstrates the absence of a moral conscience.  It is abhorrent and cannot be praised!

Hamas and groups like them have no desire for a peaceful coexistence. They have no desire for a two-state solution as has repeatedly been called for.  They have been offered a separate state of Palestine and rejected it each time.  The followers of their brand of Islam have made it blatantly clear that they will accept nothing short of the total extermination of Israel and all the Jewish people.   That makes coexistence impossible.

That brings me to the United States of America and the demand by the Left for tolerance of anti-biblical, anti-American, and anti-constitutional ideologies.  How can we do that?  Many of the followers of those views, like Hamas, want to obliterate those of us who do not adopt their ideological beliefs.  They believe their anger, hate, and violence are justified and we are infidels.  I say infidels because their ideologies have become religions to them, and any failure to bow at the altar of their god is deemed heretical and worthy of death.

Those who hate Israel and chant “Death to Israel” also chant “Death to America.”  They call Israel the Little Satan and America the Big Satan.  They do not desire to coexist with them or us; they want to eradicate us from the planet.  Yet, we watch government officials attempt to appease them, ignoring their heinous atrocities and crimes.  They watch as Americans are placed in harm’s way and slaughtered with little or no response.  That is beyond tragic and is revelatory of the condition of our present world.

The open border has allowed the influx of thousands of men from Islamic nations to enter unvetted and unhindered.  What have they brought with them?  What is taking place is networks are being assembled.  What is the intent and desire of those individuals making their way into the United States?  Our intelligence is aware that many of them have ties to terrorist organizations, and some have actively participated in acts of violence.  Why would we allow this?

Is the misguided belief that we can somehow coexist with and appease evil the driving force behind what our government is doing?  Not only in allowing the massive influx of unvetted illegals but in providing funds and support for organizations and nations that desire our destruction.  The U.S. Border Patrol has reported that in the past two years, they have encountered 72,823 “special interest aliens.”

What and who are “special interest aliens?”  They are largely ‘military-age’ males from Muslim nations in the Middle East.  One has to ask, “How many were not encountered and entered without notice?”    The followers of the Koran believe it is their mandate to press everyone who is not a follower of Islam into dhimmitude.

What is the answer to today’s evil, hatred, and violence?  For me, there is only one Answer – Jesus Christ!  It is God!  John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes in Him, will not perish, but have eternal life.”   1 John 4:20 is revelatory – “If someone says, ‘I love God,’ and yet hates his brother or sister, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother or sister whom he has seen, cannot love God, whom he has not seen.”

When will there be genuine Peace on Earth?  When Jesus sets up His Kingdom. When the devil can no longer influence and persuade people to do evil.  In the eternal ages and not until then.   We may make treaties, pacts, and agreements and form temporary alliances, but until the Heart of Man is transformed, evil will exist, and good and evil cannot coexist; evil will not allow it.

America, I pray that we will awaken and realize that the pathway many have chosen to take is the road to destruction, not restoration or preservation.  I pray that we will adopt the directive of 2 Chronicles 7:14 and genuinely return to God’s moral moorings as a nation and individuals.  Hate is destructive and deadly. Hatred will never allow peace.  If we want to be and remain the Free Constitutional Republic established in 1776, we must reject evil and embrace good, which is only found in God.

God bless you, and God bless America!
