WHAT DO WORDS MEAN ANYMORE?

With the outrageous redefining of terms, one must wonder what words mean today.  I suppose it depends on the environment and the people to whom they are being spoken.  Words that were innocuous decades ago are not termed evidence of a phobic condition needing immediate reeducation or eradication.

If you disagree with the followers of toxic liberalism, you are a phobe.  You are worse than Genghis Khan or Jeffery Dahmer if you use non-threatening terms of bygone eras.  You are on equal footing with Lucifer of the Bible and unworthy of the air you breathe.

If I believe that the religion of Islam is not peaceful, I am deemed to be Islamophobic, but if they trash Christianity, they are within their rights.  If I believe in traditional marriage between one man and one woman, I am deemed to be homophobic, but if they criticize my beliefs, they are considered heroic and brave.  If I do not want my grandchildren or any children to be exposed to things that would harm their psyche, I am a transphobe, but if they attack my position, they are within their rights and misunderstood.

What do words mean?  The use of the race card and the term racist is almost meaningless today because it is one-sided.  If you do not kowtow to the demands of Antifa or BLM, you are a racist.  If you question the wisdom of allowing the border to be eradicated, you are a xenophobe and unfeeling to the needs of those less fortunate.

I have been informed that I am deemed a White Supremacist because I am a Caucasian male who is a Christian and conservative.  Joseph Goebbels said, “The bigger the lie, said often enough, becomes truth.”  Words have meaning, but they must also be taken in context.  Words taken out of context can be twisted to mean anything.

Demonization is a tactic used by the followers of today’s toxic liberal ideology.  Demonization seeks to define the person being attacked as being diabolically evil.  The objective is to delegitimize the person and their position.  It is to disallow any dissent and views freedom of speech and thought anathema.

The Bible is deemed to be hate speech by those on the Left who seek to remove any biblical influence from the public square.  If you quote the Bible, you are thought to be overcome by some phobic condition and are a member of the society of deplorables.

I cannot avoid the feelings of dismay over those in America celebrating the terrorism conducted by Hamas.  The slaughter of innocent children, babies, and women is unconscionable and should be loudly condemned by all.  Some of those celebrating also insist that there was no Holocaust, and that Hitler was simply a leader advancing a philosophy that was in the best interest of his country.  That is astounding!

There is a video of CAIR Executive Directory Nihad Awad celebrating the terrorism of October 7th.  He said, “I was happy to see the people of Gaza break the siege on October 7; they were victorious; the people of Gaze have the right to self-defense – Israel does not.”  What?  To launch an attack and brutally murder, rape, behead people while destroying property is laudable but to respond is untenable?  That is beyond lunacy.

Words are important, which is what the Constitution comprises – WORDS!   Words with specific meaning and intent were used to formulate the system of government defined in that document.  Therefore, when the judicial nominee of Joe Biden, Sara E. Hill, pledged to “ignore” Oklahoma’s abortion laws and blatantly lied about it to Congress, we have a problem.

For example, when Ms. Hill was questioned by the Senate, Senator Kennedy (R-LA) asked her to explain the difference between a “stay order” and an “injunction.”   She could not answer the question and finally responded, “I’m not sure that I actually can give you the – uh – that.”  Wow!   Those words have specific meanings, and any law student completing the first year of law school knows the answer.

We are so steeped in identity politics and activism that our courts are almost meaningless and are rapidly becoming nothing more than political arms advancing an agenda.  That is not what our court system was designed to be, nor what we should be willing to allow.

Add to that the modification and redefining of terms we are enduring the the twisting of science for the sake of advancing a lie. That twist is endangering millions of our children.  The lie that a person is born a homosexual is advanced and believed by those of that community and some on both sides of the social, moral, and political aisle.

I was impressed by an ex-lesbian, Robin Goodspeed’s declaration: “I was not born a homosexual. I was not ‘born that way.’  There is no scientific proof, or proof of any kind, that homosexuals are ‘born that way.”  I was sexually molested at the age of 2, and I began making choices at that age that led to a life of homosexuality.  I chose that life, and I clung desperately to the lie that I was ‘born that way’ so I would never be held accountable for my choices.”

Walt Heyer, a former transgender, was asked if transgenders are ‘born that way.’  He said: “There is no evidence that transgenders are ‘born that way.’  There is, however, evidence that they are suffering from untreated mental disorders such as bipolar disorder, dissociative disorder, separation anxiety, schizophrenia, and personality disorder.”

Christian minister Janet Boynes opened up about her abusive childhood and the reality that she did not fit the cookie-cutter image of what a woman should be.  She chose to become involved in lesbian relationships.  She wrote: “When I was living in homosexuality, I knew I was sinning.  The Bible told me, my conscience told me, and many people in my life told me.  Unfortunately, I also had many people telling me that what I was doing was simply a lifestyle choice and not a sin. … My own experience as a former lesbian leads me to believe that many in the homosexual community are searching for love and acceptance. …  I desperately needed to find love, to feel loved and to experience love.”

What does this have to do with words? Everything, because we seek to define terms based on what we want them to mean.  When children are inundated with theories of gender confusion, they seek to redefine male and female.  They redefine marriage. They redefine life, and in their search for something meaningful that will alleviate their confusion and frustration, they need absolute truths.   What is used to confuse the confused – Words that are redefined and reoriented to achieve an agenda.

Do words mean anything anymore?  Yes, if we are seekers of truth.  No, if we only desire to advance an ideology.  Words are useful tools to reveal the truth and equally useful to advance misinformation and lies.   I pray that we will return to rational sanity in this world.  Without God, we are like rudderless ships on a raging sea.

God bless you, and God bless America!
