WHEN DID MAN GET SMARTER THAN GOD?

BLOG POST 1- Smarter Than God

Yes, I am being facetious and using sarcasm but the average politician especially the Liberal Leftist seem to believe that government and politicians are smarter and have a better plan than God.  Sadly, millions of Americans have bought into that logic or illogic and thus we have the class war that exists today and the ungodly and unjust “tax code” and much more!  Will we change it to a more just and biblical code?  I seriously doubt it because politicians are addicted to our money, impervious to the dictates of God and driven by their desire to fill the government’s coffers.  Money is power and power they love.  Money buys votes and votes they love.  Money buys subservience and subjects. they love.  Therefore, I seriously doubt most of them even know what God’s TAX PLAN was or care.

In Deuteronomy 14:22, we find God’s plan for His people as civil laws were established by Moses under the direction of God Himself.  Deuteronomy 14:22, “You shall surely tithe all the produce from what you sow, which comes out of the field every year.”  The tithe was one-tenth or10% of the annual income of every citizen and basically functioned as a TAX or a LEVY upon the people.  From the proceeds of that 10%, officials were paid and social programs operated. (Deuteronomy 26:12).  The mention of the tithe is not derived from a singular mention but numerous occasions in the Bible it is referenced and directed.

In God’s Plan, everyone paid the same rate.  Heaven Forbid would cry the leftist and some on the right, that would not be FAIR.  But in God’s eyes, it was deemed not only to be fair but optimum. The rate was 10% for the rich and 10% for the poor or proportional.  If someone made $10 MILLION they paid $1 MILLION and if they made $100 they paid $10.  You may scream, as do the liberals, that what is left makes this unjust and unfair but does it?  In this system, everybody has skin in the game and pays a fair proportional share.  I personally believe that God is smarter than man and would not have instituted an unjust system.  He has a reason for everything He does and as a Christian, I trust His judgment.

Jesus, taught impartiality and described it as reflective of God’s character saying in Matthew 5:45, “He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and unrighteous.”  Imagine that!  This system is known as “capitation taxation” which can be understood as “an assessment levied by the government upon a person at a fixed rate, regardless of income or worth.”  That is exactly the system that is found in the U.S. Constitution. I have met politicians that did not know that.  In Article 1, Section 9 we read, “No capitation or other direct tax shall be laid unless in proportion to the census or enumeration herein before directed to be taken.”  THAT IS NOT TODAY’S SYSTEM.  Our Framers required that all federal taxes be applied evenly to every person and divided equally based on the census population.  In Article 1, Section 8 we find, “The Congress shall have the power to lay and collect taxes, duties, imposts, and excises… but all duties, imposts and excises shall be UNIFORM throughout the United States.”  OOPS!  How did we deviate from that?

With the rise of Progressivism and Poststructuralism which are largely anti-biblical and promotes the idea that people are not part of the country but members of sects and groups thus affording them special consideration.  The views promoted by those paradigms of thought pit group against group, ethnicity against ethnicity, and divides this nation wrongly and harmfully.  From the views espoused by those ideologies, there must be laws that protect various groups and force others to accept or adopt their views.  The Great Seal of State of the U.S.A. is ‘E Pluribus Unum’ which means “out of many, one.”  These infringing views alter that to be ‘E Unum Pluribus’ or “out of one, many” and thereby divide the nation into sectarian groups and ideological societies that are virtually at war with each other.

That view gained a toe-hold in Congress in 1894 with the passage of a TAX that singled out the wealthy and treated them differently than the rest of society.  Congressman, John Morrill argued, “In this country, we neither create nor tolerate any distinction of rank, race, or color, and should not tolerate anything else than entire equality in our taxation.”  I agree because that is both constitutional and biblical.  In 1895 the Supreme Court of the United States struck down the 1894 Law as a direct violation of the wording of the Constitution.  Now, you begin to understand why Liberals, Progressives, and RINO’s do not like Originalism.  Supreme Court Justice Stephen Field gave a warning that could be deemed prophetic saying, “It [this tax] will be but the stepping-stone to others, larger and more sweeping, till our political contests will become a war of the poor against the rich – a war constantly growing in intensity and bitterness.”  THAT IS WHERE WE ARE TODAY!

Once the Law was struck down this adversarial group advocated a Constitutional Amendment that would allow the rich to be treated differently to everyone else, which would only lead to the selective targeting of various groups.  In 1913 their proposal was ratified as the Sixteenth Amendment and permitted the PROGRESSIVE TAX SYSTEM we now endure.  This is one of the greatest dividers in our nation and the incessant ranting of the Left, many of which are rich, to make the rich evil divides our nation doing great damage.  Our original system, the biblical one, treated every American the same and afforded a path whereby every American paid his share and every American had an investment in the success of the nation.  It did not punish success or reward failure.  The rain fell on the just and unjust alike.  If we went back to this system we would, over the long haul, bring some sanity to our nation, but in the interim, there would be such anger and violence we might not survive.  After all, the government is smarter than God, right?  (My tongue is firmly planted in my cheek.)  Returning to God’s system which is birthed out of His wisdom would offer a pathway to health whereas ignoring it only invites more division and destruction.  YES, I am a proponent of God’s method and do not believe that the federal government should every get more than 10%.

I am praying for America and asking God to bless you and my nation!
