We live in a world that is toxic politically, morally, and socially. Politics has become a war, not a civil debate between opposing views. There are elements on both sides of the political aisle that believe the only solution is the eradication of those with opposing views. That is anathema to everything, I believe. It is counter to what the Bible teaches and is antithetical to the principles of liberty America was founded.
I would love to declare that nothing surprises me anymore, but that would be a graphic understatement. I am continually surprised, although I should not be. The inane and often insane antics of politicians never cease to amaze me. I have long wondered if there is something in the water in the Capitol that causes the seemingly sane to lose all reason and quickly become one of the elitest fraternities of Congress.
I suspect it is not the water or any other natural element but the enticement of money and power that flips their switch. Some of it is rooted in their egos and desire to appear as the Super Senator, Congressman, or Congresswoman. Few of those in Washington embrace the view of Citizen Representatives and quickly become establishment types embracing the professional career politician view. We, the people, are the losers for that, but it is what it is.
One certainty that is never ending is the incessant and fact-less based push by the Left, some on the Right, and the world order proponents for compliance to the Climate Change Religious Mandates. That never changes. The faces who are spokespersons changes in a limited fashion, but the rhetoric and spin are consistent, and the paranoia and fear engendered are perpetual.
We have religious leaders uniting to advance the Religion of Climate Change and are calling for repentance for our sins against Mother Earth. They are seemingly unconcerned about sin and salvation, only compliance with the Climate Initiatives of the Globalists. The United Nations has joined forces with numerous religious groups, including Christian, Muslim, Jewish, and an Amazonian shaman, to produce a new film promoting their addendum to the Ten Commandments.
The United Nations has launched its new Development Program (an expansion of Agenda 21 and the sequels) ahead of COP27, calling for a new moral and ethical system to replace the old one. They insist that the Ten Commandments have evolved with mankind, and since, in their view, the old moral code was not suitable to protect the climate, man must adopt a new code. Imagine that God was not smart enough to give us a Code that would last for all time. How utterly absurd and self-exalting! The new Religion of Climate Change is officially in force.
One consistent political condition is the unwillingness of the followers of liberalism and progressivism to examine fossil fuel use rationally. Their paranoia or pathway to power via the fear that man will destroy the planet and cease to exist produces new twists, but their blockheaded denial of the value of our natural resources is consistent and persistent.
Our energy problem is unnecessary and caused by the adherence to the lunacy of manmade climate change. We have a president who is depleting our strategic energy reserves in a feeble attempt to lower prices. That is a national security issue, and this president has sold some of our reserves to China, which has stored them. Imagine that? Why would the Biden Team want to help China and hurt America? Could it be the quest for both money and power?
If we opened the drilling in ANWR, we would be producing oil that is not borrowed. It would help solve much of our energy situation and open the door to bringing us back to energy independence and lower prices. It would also give us time to research and develop alternative energy pursuits to make them reliable and affordable. Additionally, it would provide fuel for decades and not be subjected to political whims and vote-buying schemes.
Opening the drilling in ANWR and reopening the Pipeline would boost the economy. We know that the oil and gas industry affects every aspect of our economy. If fuel costs escalate, as they now are, then the cost of goods and services soars, and jobs are lost. We all pay for this misguided tactic by the Left. Add to that equation the reality that drilling in ANWR would not tax the current infrastructure. We would see robustness in the economy we had before Biden and can have again.
Another inconsistent consistency is the drive by the followers of the liberal political philosophy to eradicate our borders. Some of the players change, and their tactics change, but the agenda remains in place. The false narrative that illegals are required because we are short of laborers is ludicrous. The insane drive to pay $15-$20 per hour to flip hamburgers and the consequences of making it more profitable to sit on one’s derriere than to work is what has created any potential shortages of willing workers.
Let me offer a few quotes from one of our Founders, Benjamin Franklin, which speak to our current situation. He said, “I am for doing good to the poor, but…I think the best way of doing good to the poor is not making them easy in poverty but leading or driving them out of it. I observed…that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course, became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.”
Another Franklin quote that is succulent and germane is, “Sloth makes all things difficult, but industry all easy; and he that riseth late must trot all day, and shall scarce overtake his business at night; while laziness travels so slowly, that poverty soon overtakes him.” The apostle Paul declared in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 that if anyone was UNWILLING to work, that person should not be given sustenance. If we make it more desirable to be lazy than to be industrious and work to provide for ourselves, we destroy lives and our republic.
The continual drift from things moral and biblical in America has and will result in the deterioration of the family unit, ethics, morality, and reason. If we push God out of our society, we invite the powers of darkness and from that stems the worst of the worst of man’s interaction with man. We make our world far more dangerous and make preserving the Free Constitutional Republic difficult, if not impossible.
We must reject the willingness to be inconstant, formulate our personal and national views on rock-solid principles, and maintain them. If we continue to allow politicians to manipulate and pervert our system of government, we will pay a price no society should endure. Freedom is in the balance, and between now and November 2024 or January 2025, we must become involved and consistently keep pressure on the elected to follow the constitution. Our failure will result in our destruction.
God bless you, and God bless America!
