Rebranding Does Not Mean Changed…


There is a massive move by the Left, including their major propaganda arms, the MSM, to ‘Rebrand’ Kamala Harris and transform her image into one of superintelligence, integrity, and compassion.  Based on her history, I fail to see any of that in her; you may disagree.  The media, the Left, and most Never-Trumpers seek to brand Trump as a man with the morals of an alley cat.  What about Biden and Harris? 

If we make this about personal flaws or qualities, we would be forced to reject every politician in Washington or almost every politician.  I do not want to throw a blanket over everyone and use that broad brush.  However, it seems that most politicians and most people have kinks in their armor.   We are all flawed vessels. 

Yet, when it comes to politics and the government, we are not voting on a pastor or giving nominations for sainthood; we are looking at what is best for the country.  God has used very flawed people to do some very good things.  I won’t make a comparison between Cyrus and Trump, but I will say that when I view politics, I consider the agenda, the platform, and the record.  I attempt to divest the personalities from my consideration.  I would love for all the politicians to be godly people, but they are not.  Therefore, I am left with making a decision based on core values and actions that are beneficial for America.

When I compare Kamala Harris to Donald Trump, there may be some common ground in peripheral areas, but the choice is clear to me when it comes to records, agendas, and ideologies. I try to vote for the candidate whose agenda and platform are closest to my biblical core values and objectives. 

The Obama-Biden and Biden-Harris administrations were strongly pro-Islam and anti-Israel. They were strong advocates for the rainbow coalition, transgenderism, homosexuality, abortion on demand, defunding the police, open borders, higher taxes, anti-oil and gas, and ever-expanding entitlements.  They sought to ban the Bible and God from the public square.  They are anti-second Amendment and actively worked to restrict our freedom of speech, deeming any speech they did not agree with ‘hate speech.’  Even quoting the Bible was an actionable offense in their minds. 

The recent events at the Olympics with the ‘Last Supper’ portrayal using Drag Queens were beyond troubling.  I cannot imagine any of that group have the audacity or courage to insult and defame Islam in the same manner.  But their actions are being lauded as honorable.  No, they are despicable.  Love me or hate me, that is my view, and I can only imagine how God feels about it.

  • Kamala Harris has strongly supported the ‘Defund the Police’ efforts, whereas Donald Trump strongly advocates for the men in blue.
  • Kamala Harris strongly supports open borders, whereas Donald Trump wants a secure border.
  • Kamala Harris desires abortion on demand (including late-term abortions), whereas Donald Trump views the issue as a State’s Rights Issue, as does the Constitution. 
  • Kamala Harris advocates Sanctuary Cities, and Donald Trump does not.
  • Kamala Harris is anti-Second Amendment, whereas Donald Trump is an advocate for our rights to ‘Keep and Bear Arms.’
  • Kamala Harris is a Green Energy devotee at the expense of the fossil fuel industry. In contrast, Donald Trump has stood for utilizing the available resources to produce energy at a lower cost. He has not opposed Green Energy’s potential but sees it as needing time and development to become viable and affordable.
  • Kamala Harris is an Obamacare proponent and seeks to make our medical care in America more of a State-run entity, whereas Donald Trump wants choice in the market.

There are two visions of America on the ballot regardless of which Democrat ultimately tops the ticket.  The America of the Left is one that will destroy our elections by allowing illegals to vote.  Their desire to reject the idea of Voter ID opens the door to fraud and corruption. They desire to have the ability to spend us into fiscal oblivion fighting “Climate Change.”  They desire to mandate electric vehicles and end the use of internal combustion engines.  That policy will plunge America back into the dark ages and make the cost of living beyond the reach of anyone but the super-rich.

The Left wants to “Tax and Spend,” have access to our retirement accounts, and limit what we can spend of our own money.  They deem all money to belong to the state.  They seek to restrict our First Amendment Rights so that anything other than the politically correct speech is ‘hate speech.’  They want to abolish ‘private insurance’ and force us into ‘Socialized Medicine.’ 

They want a ‘one-party state’ with their party being the overlords.  They want to pack the Supreme Court with liberal ideologues.  They want to decriminalize crime, except crimes against the government.  They want to rule by executive order and give freebies to everyone for everything, including a guaranteed base income for everyone.

The agenda of the Left would destroy all free enterprise and strip citizens of the motivation or inspiration to strive for success.  The agenda of the Left would pit America against the Bible and the God of the Bible.  If you want to criticize me for supporting Donald Trump and the Republican ticket, go ahead.  I am not voting on a person; I am voting on the record and the proposed agendas. 

I am a natural-born American citizen, a Vietnam veteran, a parent and grandparent, a patriot, and, most importantly, a Christian. I stand for Faith, Family, and Freedom! I stand for Limited Government and expect the elected officials to honor the Constitution, respect our rights and liberties, and work for us, not against us or for themselves.

I urge you to consider the agendas rather than simply looking at ethnicity, gender, or appearance.  Vote for what is best for America, and be honest in your assessment.  Look at the current cost of living and its potential to worsen, and ask yourself, “Am I better off under the Biden-Harris administration or the Trump-Pence of four years ago?”  If you are honest, unless you are part of the 1%, you will say, “I am not.”  Then vote for yourself and your progeny and send the Leftists home in November.

Should We Be Concerned About A.I.? [Artificial Intelligence]


Understandably, some may dismiss my concerns, labeling me as a conspiracy theorist or a religious fanatic. However, I refuse to be deterred from addressing a topic that is rapidly becoming a norm in our technological society.  As a student of the Bible, a follower of Jesus Christ, an American veteran, and a lover of freedom, I share a common concern with many about the potential impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

While I may not possess the technical credentials to speak authoritatively on AI, I can refer to those who do and share their concerns. I can also draw upon biblical texts, which I believe offer valuable insights into the potential implications of AI and today’s technological advancements.

In our current society, the blurring of terms and values has created a breeding ground for the sinister to emerge from the shadows and infiltrate every aspect of life. This could be both beneficial and perilous.  Years ago, during my computer training, there was a saying: GIGO. ‘Garbage in, Garbage out.’ 

The technologues of that day were convinced that the computer wizardry becoming prevalent totally depended upon the programming.  I believe, as do some technological giants in that industry, that idea is no longer exclusively valid. 

We live in a time when everything is being redefined, including ‘intelligence.’  There is a desire to redefine other words or states, such as ‘consciousness.’  We know that today’s technology with ‘drones’ is reshaping many things militarily, educationally, scientifically, and medically, as well as how we conduct business.  Some of them are wonderfully good, and some of them present incredibly dangerous possibilities.

The nations of the world are becoming heavily invested in ‘trans-humanism’ and seeking to create a new species of hybrid humans for military and other purposes.  One contributor to the technological advancements said they envision a time when we will achieve ‘technological Singularity.’  He explained that there would be a point of growth in technology where the technology would become ‘uncontrollable and irreversible.’  He believed that would result in unforeseeable changes in our human civilization through what they deemed an ‘upgrade’ via Artificial Intelligence [AI].

This is being promoted as ‘self-improvement;’ there are those who desire to become immortal and believe that connecting the computer to the human brain would allow their consciousness to live forever via a machine—having billions if not trillions of data available for medical researchers seems to be an incredible advancement.  It can be.  They insist that using AI to predict or develop strategies for economic growth and even warfare is beneficial and benign.  I ask, ‘Is it?”

I read that the head of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Klaus Schwab, declared, “We are at the beginning of a revolution that is fundamentally changing the way we live, work, and relate to one another.”  That is true, but is it good?  He longs for this ‘Great Reset.’

Elon Musk spoke at the MIT Aeronautics and Astronautics Department in 2014 at their Centennial Symposium and said, “With artificial intelligence, we are summoning the demon.”  At least two books discuss AI using that as their title.   Musk used this analogy, “You know all those stories where there’s the guy with a pentagram and the holy water, and he’s like…yeah, he’s sure he can control the demon, [but] it doesn’t work out.”  That’s my point: are we creating a monster we cannot control? 

With the depravity of the human heart and the consuming passion for control and dominance, what is to prevent the nefarious from using technology for genocidal events that would fulfill the desire of the Bill Gates types of the world in population reduction?  Most have seen the Sci-Fi movie “Terminator.”  We scoffed at the prospects and other movies that used AI to predict crimes and arrested people for what they might do rather than what they had done.  

I am aware that more than 350 AI researchers and engineers issued a warning that AI poses risks comparable to “severe pandemics and nuclear war.”  Geoffrey Hinton, often cited as the “godfather of AI,” left Google to sound the alarm.  He said, “This is not science fiction.  A lot of smart people should be putting a lot of effort into figuring out how we deal with the possibility of AI taking over.”  That is concerning, especially when it comes from someone on the ground floor of this technology.

When I read Revelation 13:15, I grow concerned, “The second beast was empowered to give life to the image of the first beast so that it could speak and could cause all those who did not worship the image of the beast to be killed.” 

How many of you have discussed something in your home and been inundated with advertisements for that item?  With the use of AI and the algorithms of Facebook and other social media platforms, we see it making significant inroads.  How much is designed to reshape how we think?  How much is designed to track us for whatever purposes?  How much of it is being used to strategize and implement plans for total control?  I do not know, but I am concerned.

Virtually no politician is willing to touch this except to sing its praises for the ‘betterment of mankind.’  Do we trust those in high-level governmental positions? Do we trust people like Dr. Anthony Fauci and the World Health Organization?  Do we trust the United Nations?  Do we trust the known despots and tyrants in the world who would like nothing better than to create an advantage for their schemes?   Then, maybe we should be concerned.

I have a response that is not technological or scientific.  I believe the best way to protect ourselves is to follow the directive of Matthew 6:33 – “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”  And Mark 12:30-31 – “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with your mind and with your strength. 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  There is no commandment greater than these.”

Additionally, we have Philippians 4:6-7 – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”   Then, Ephesians 6:10-18 gives us something we can embrace: the Whole Armor of God. 

I believe that without God’s help, we will be overcome by nefarious forces and people seeking ultimate power. I believe that with God’s help, we can be discerning, and His Holy Spirit will help us navigate the labyrinth of the unknown. We are not smart enough and dare not trust those who are with our lives or our eternal souls. 

That is my rant; do with it what you will. I am concerned. I applaud beneficial advancements in technology, but I cannot help but be concerned about something so potentially threatening.

Makeovers in Politics are Reliant on Deception and Ignorance…


Deception or ignorance can be intentional or unintentional, but the result is the same. It is gaslighting, smoke and mirrors, and whitewashing history. Is it successful? Often, it is because of personal preference, bias, prejudice, and the presence of hate!

The presumptive or guaranteed Democratic presidential nominee, now that BHO has endorsed her, is Kamala Harris.  Her record is impossible for any reasonable person to support, but when you mix the inordinate hate for Donald J. Trump, her past is inconsequential to millions.

This may get me kicked to the curb by those whose feelings are so sensitive that even the mention of some non-pc things sends them into an uncontrollable rage.  Kamala Harris has had a career of pretending to be marginalized.  Joe Biden promised and fulfilled his promise to have a Black woman as his running mate.  Qualifications were not part of the consideration, only skin color and gender.  However, ascribing to leftist ideological extremism was a plus.

The baleful ideology of racial equality is a key player in her campaign and attempted makeover.  That ideology is the force behind the push for reparations, racial preference, critical race theory being taught in our schools, and the defund-the-police movements.  Harris promoted bail funds for BLM rioters in 2020. 

She was, effectively if not officially, the ‘border czar’ of the Biden administration, which allowed the invasion of over ten million illegals from all over the world.  Unvetted and unhindered access to the USA is a serious national security threat.  But, alas, if you want to expand your voter base (legal or illegal), you do what you must, right?

There is neither time nor space to detail all the incredibly destructive policies she has supported in this blog.  I choose not to discuss the immoral or amoral behavior that enabled her to ascend to the pinnacle of the Democrat party. 

She has made some incredibly ludicrous statements, including her tweet on January 29, 2019, about Jussie Smollett.  “@JussieSmollett is one of the kindest, most gentle human beings I know.  I’m praying for his quick recovery.  This was an attempted modern-day lynching.  No one should have to fear for their life because of their sexuality or the color of their skin.  We must confront this hate.”   I agree with portions of her statement, but this was a rush to judgment not based on facts, which proved it was a fraud, not an actual attack on him.

She has two specific proposals that would complete the destruction of our economy and our republic.  The New Green Deal is one of the most transparent and prolific examples of her Socialist ideology.  This deal championed by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) includes a laundry list of collectivists and destructive policies she pines for.  In just ten years, it would end access to gasoline-powered automobiles, oil and gas production, and other reliable energy sources!  Imagine the utter destruction if she were to become the President.

A second equally destructive proposal is the “Medicare-for-all” plan that Bernie Sanders and others of his ilk support.  When she vied for the Democrat Presidential Nomination in 2019, she made that one of the keystone portions of her policy agenda.

What would those two proposals or ideological aspirations do to America and Americans?  Taxes would skyrocket, inflation would become hyper, and most families would be sent to the poor house and possibly lose everything.  Consumer choice and shortages would be the natural result because many are connected to the fossil fuel industry.  It would affect healthcare, transportation, and virtually everything in our republic. 

Kamala Harris is well known for her illogical ‘word salad’ comments. Yet, in the new presentation of her ability and character, she is wiser than Solomon and the second coming of Jesus Christ. In one of her declarations, she attempted to explain her core ideology by saying, “Everyone ends up in the same place.”  That is Communism! 

Her complete statement was, “Americans must have a goal of saying everybody should end up in the same place. And since we didn’t start in the same place, some folks might need more equitable distribution.”  I believe that is the Leftist plan of ‘redistribution of wealth,’ which would destroy free enterprise.

Her support for ‘DEFUND THE POLICE’ was revealed in a video in which she said, “It’s about upending the system. We need to look at police budgets. More safety with more cops is wrong.”  She also said, “We need to reimagine how we are creating safety.”  She also denied that being an ‘illegal alien’ is a violation of our federal laws, saying, “It is not a crime.”  Well, yes, it is! She also has advocated the dissolution of ICE.

You may hate Donald J. Trump enough that you would vote for Lucifer himself.  I hope that is not the case, but some are so filled with hate, bias, and prejudice that they are unwilling to consider the policies, records, and agendas of the candidates.  The choice is easy for me when I consider the four years of the Trump administration and the almost four years of the Biden-Harris administration.

I have not discussed the myriad ideological stances she embraces that directly violate the Bible. That may not be very meaningful to you, but it is paramount to me. I do not care what gender or ethnicity the candidate is. I care about what they plan to do or desire to do and how it affects America, our system of government, our Republic, and me personally. 

I stand for Faith, Family, and Freedom and ask that you join me in prayer for America. Please Vote to keep America, America!

The Lurking Dangers of a Senile President…


Those dangers are not to be taken lightly.   They are real and imminent, and they demand our attention.   What I am going to say is rooted in my faith, my observations over many years, human history, and some declarations from political analysts and medical doctors.  To delve deeply into those multiple windows would require a book, not a blog post; therefore, I will highlight my concerns.  You can then take my opinion and do with it what you choose.

I have many ministerial colleagues who believe I should leave politics to politicians, and my typical response is, “That’s what got us into this mess.”  Hear me carefully; I do not believe that it is needful for preachers to preach politics from their pulpits.   However, I do believe that we are mandated in the Bible to Sound the Alarm when we see danger and evil posing danger to people. 

I consider the political violations of the Bible ample reason to address biblical precepts and relate them to what is happening in the political world.  As a minister, my first goal is the Gospel and seeing people born-again and redeemed from darkness.  I believe that my purpose is to address life and provide adequate information that will allow parents to safeguard their children from the ominous dangers of some of the current governmental and societal edicts.  If that makes me a ‘second-class Christian’ in the minds of some, so be it.  I believe it is a mandate from God.

I don’t want to get into a debate over what can and cannot be said from the pulpit and maintain the integrity of our commission.  If you believe that you should be silent and ignore the activities of the government and politicians, then pursue that.  If I saw a child about to pick up a poisonous snake, I would do all I could to prevent that from happening.  If I saw someone in any danger and could rescue them with a verbal warning, I would do so. 

Now, back to my thoughts on the dangers of having a person suffering from senility or dementia.  We have a sitting President who is clearly suffering from some severe cognitive disorders and decline.  He is visibly deteriorating physically as well.  Hating the opponent is not justification for ignoring the dangers nationally and internationally.  Our enemies are keenly aware of his condition.

I saw an article by Naval War College professor James Holmes, who authored a compelling article in The National Interest titled “Joe Biden and the Perception Paradox.”  I suggest that you find and read it.  It could prove to be an eye-opener at a time when open eyes are desperately needed.

Let me offer a brief excerpt.  “Perception is king in power politics.  The nations of the world that wish us well and ill undoubtedly watched the Biden-Trump debate or at least read the post-debate commentary about Biden’s awful performance – from both Republicans and Democrats.”   Holmes raised the concern that Biden’s debate performance seriously damaged the perception of America’s capability, competence, and fortitude.  He said, “Aggressors will be emboldened, and friends will blanch.  The mental ability and credibility of the American superpower’s leader have been called into question.  Our friends and our foes will act accordingly.”

Professor Holmes did not author his article as a Trump supporter; he considered Trump irrelevant in this discussion.  His concern and mine is that without something dramatic transpiring, Joe Biden will be President of the United States of America until January 20, 2025.  That is ample time for more destruction and damage to be launched at us than I care to consider.  

I have been telling those within my circle of influence that I see 2025 as the beginning of epic chaos, regardless of which candidate is declared the winner. When commentators from China openly compare the sitting president to a corpse, that is cause for alarm. China has world dominance as its global objective, and we are the major hindrance to their pursuit. If we are deemed incompetent and incapable of being the wall to prevent their aggression, the world is hurtling toward WWIII.

During the Cold War, the Soviets believed that America, and largely Ronald Reagan, was serious and had the ability and fortitude to defend Berlin and take whatever action was needed. Under Jimmy Carter, the world was laughing at us and had virtually no fear. The terrorist nations believed that Donald Trump meant what he said, but today, the fear is gone! That makes the president’s cognitive and physical condition of paramount importance.

Professor Holmes explained: “An incompetent head of state might yield to unwise policy counsel, broadcasting threats or promises the nation cannot keep. Idle threats discredit future professions of purpose. Or he could fail to craft believable threats or promises when circumstances demand a strong stance. An inconstant leader might suffer bewilderment or despair in the midst of a crisis or lash out with unforeseeable consequences…. Influential audiences could come to doubt American reliability in world affairs.”

The Bible speaks of the Last Days and the condition of mankind, describing them as perilous times.  We are there!  Eschatologically, you may disagree, but if you consider the current state of interpersonal and international relations, surely you acknowledge that we are in a serious time.   We need stability in the White House!   Now is not the time to manifest weakness or allow our enemies to deem us prime targets due to weakness.

I am praying for America.  I am praying for the souls of men.  I am praying for the safety of people.  I am praying for a return to moral sanity!   I am praying 2 Chronicles 7:14, and I ask all who pray and believe in God to join me.

Without Joe, Where Do They Go?


I have some friends who were convinced that Biden would weather the storm and be the candidate for the Left in November.  They believed that his corrupt machine would prevail and, through millions of illegal non-citizen votes and other fraud, that he would be deemed the president in November.  They believed he would resign shortly thereafter with a heaty buy-out from the deep pockets on the Left and secure as his legacy the pathway for the first female president in American history.

They were partly wrong!  Joe did not wait until November or after January 20th to remove himself or be removed from further consideration.  How much did that cost the deep pockets?  His presence in the Oval Office has been devastatingly costly for America.  Real inflation is out of control, the national debt is soaring, the borders have been eradicated, and the lunacy of the various activist groups triumphing over the constitution because of his corrupt and compromised DOJ and other alphabet agencies of the government.

It appears that Vice President Kamala Harris has secured enough delegate commitments to guarantee herself a spot at the top of the Democrat ticket.  That is still questionable with the state of the current Democrat Party. However, it appears that Obama Attorney General Eric Holder is tasked with vetting possible Vice-Presidential candidates.  Imagine that!  Barack Obama continues to be the guiding voice of the Left and has successfully hidden from the view of most Americans thanks to the corrupt media covering his schemes and promoting false narratives. He has yet to endorse Harris, so watch out!

I saw an article by a New York Times columnist who declared that other Democrats were more ‘electable and exciting’ than Harris.  One of their own considers her a ‘word salad chef’ and possesses the leadership skills of a rock.  Who did the Times prefer?  I don’t think you will be surprised, but let’s list them.

  • Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer was number one in their view as the most ‘exciting’ candidate.  She received an average score of 7.1 compared to Harris’ 5.8.
  • Harris finished dead last in the views of the staff of the Times when it came to “Who can beat Donald Trump.”
  • Harris received a 4.7 rating in the ‘electable’ category, finishing behind Pennsylvania Governor Joe Shapiro, who received a 7.0. She also finished behind Democrat Senator Mark Kelly (AZ), who received a 6.6 rating. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear received a 6.5, and Gretchen Whitmer got a 6.4.  
  • Democrat Senator Raphael Warnock (GA), Maryland Governor Wes Moore, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, Democratic Senator Chris Murphy (Conn), and California Governor Gavin Newsom all finished ahead of her.

The sad reality is that a substantial portion of America has drifted or plunged into a tragic condition of moral depravity. Even in the church world, the push to be user-friendly and not confrontational about lifestyles has resulted in an unbiblical and unhealthy kinship with the world. Unchanged lives identifying as Christians are causing the church to become even less esteemed by unbelievers. 

Kamala Harris is not a mental giant and may be less astute in the cognitive arena than Alexanderia-Ocasio Cortez and others now in Washington. The rush to give her a makeover, deeming her to possess more wisdom than Solomon and more effective than God, is underway.  Recently, the Biden aides have suggested that Biden was hesitant about dropping out because of his concern that Harris was not “up to taking on Donald Trump.” Couple that with reports that Jill detests her and has never forgiven her for the slams on Joe during their party’s presidential primary debates. 

The incredible turnover of her staff in the 3 ½ years she has served as Vice President should be concerning if not an indicator of her ability to work with people and her leadership skills or the lack thereof.  Of the 47 staffers listed in 2021, only 5 still work for her as of this spring.  Some former aides referred to her relationship with the staff as “prosecuting the staff.”

The ineptitude and corruption of this administration and the bureau chiefs that they appointed is staggering.  The recent attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump is one case in point.  The overreach of the Department of Justice and the special prosecutors Biden appointed screams politicization of the Justice Department, eerily akin to the despotic regimes in non-democratic countries around the world. 

Kamala Harris’ only qualification for being chosen as Joe Biden’s running mate was that she is female and non-white.  He promised to appoint or name a black woman to that position.  Harris is not African American but the offspring of a Jamaican father and an Indian mother.  Lloyd Austin, the Secretary of Defense, was chosen based on his race and is partly responsible for the deadly and misguided withdrawal from Afghanistan.  Secretary of Treasury Yellen is clueless about the economy.  Ineptitude is the earmark of the Biden team.

America, I believe that dark days are ahead of us and that 2025 will bring chaos and destruction beyond what we have seen in the past, regardless of who is elected or named president.  However, if we have any hope of a return to Law and Order, repeal of the stifling edicts and regulations that have crippled our economy, a return of parental rights, and securing our border, which is a national security issue, we must not allow the Democrats to occupy the Oval Office in 2025.  Even in the face of the darkness, I believe in God and trust Him!

Do I think Donald Trump is a savior?  NO!  I do not put my hopes in any human being; my hope is in God!  However, I believe Trump loves America, and even with the kinks in his armor, He proved to be better for America than Joe Biden or Barack Obama.  Therefore, I will support him in November because I love America and believe that, based on the options presented, Donald Trump is my best hope for restoring constitutionality in America.

WARNINGS FROM THE FOUNDING FATHERS THAT TURNED OUT TO BE PROPHETIC…


Our founding fathers were men of great wisdom and incredible foresight. They understood how precarious our liberty was and what was required to keep it. They knew that men’s hearts are bent toward evil and constantly warned that we must carefully examine anyone who desires to hold public office and be willing to fight for our liberty. 

Today, in America, we seem to have forgotten that to some degree.  Let me give you several quotes from our founders and ask that you apply them to today:

“A general dissolution of principles and manners will more surely overthrow the liberties of America than the whole force of the common enemy. While the people are virtuous, they cannot be subdued; but when once they lose their virtue then will be ready to surrender their liberties to the first external or internal invader.” – Samuel Adams

“Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed, as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword because the whole body of the people are armed and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States.” – Noah Webster

“Give me liberty or give me death.” – Patrick Henry

“Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect every one who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined.” – Patrick Henry

“The public cannot be too curious concerning the characters of public men.” – Samuel Adams

Samuel Adams, Noah Webster, and Patrick Henry were among some of the most outspoken of our Founders and have eloquently given us something to consider carefully.  We have lost our “virtue,” at least to a degree, in America and must return to it to survive.  There is an assault on our 2nd Amendment right, and every tyrant in history first disarmed the populace before they moved to take over totally. 

This is part of the Agenda of the Left and the United Nations, so I echo the warning of our Founders. Patrick Henry and Samuel Adams said it right—we must diligently guard our public liberty and carefully examine everyone seeking public office. We must also be willing to die for our freedom in order to preserve it.

We are in perilous times in America and the world.  If we allow the current administration to have another four years in the Whitehouse, I fear there will be no America to defend. 

Therefore, I once again cry out—please remember what is at stake each time you vote. Please examine the facts, listen to what is said, watch what is and has been done, and Vote! Send the Leftists back to wherever they came from and give this country at least a chance to recover, even if it is a slim one!

When Hate Prevails, America Fails…


In 2024, hate is so prevalent that it has become the acceptable norm rather than an aberration.   Many attempt to justify their hate with words like, “Do you know what they did or are doing?”  Others said, “I’m just giving back what I get, tit for tat.”  I’ve heard, “What’s good for the goose is good for the gander.”  And even some Christians have plunged to the level of hate, calling it righteous indignation. 

When the rhetoric and vitriol are continuous, what could we expect but some fringe mental midget taking the psychological suggestions and subliminal messages and acting on them?    The hatred of former President Trump from some on both sides of the political aisle is beyond my ability to explain.  I believe it is being belched from the pit of hell and designed to destroy America. 

Whether you love or hate the former president, surely you would agree that the heat of preferential passion is reaching the boiling point.  We are dangerously near a full-blown shooting war in America that will not be North vs South but ideologies and philosophies warring against each other.  

We are reaching, if we have not already reached, the point where hate triumphs over reason and preference triumphs over individual rights, constitutionally and biblically.

Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “Darkness cannot drive out Darkness; only light can do that.  Hate cannot drive out Hate; only love can do that.”   Hate is usually incredibly destructive mentally, physically, and spiritually.  Hate binds us in a prison torture chamber worse than any medieval creation.

Hate blinds the mind, clouds the heart, and strips the one filled with hate of the ability to reason rationally.  It seeks retaliation rather than restoration or reconciliation.  Hate enables one to view the lives of those they deem the enemy as without value. Hate is the root of most societal strife. 

I am reminded of two Bible passages that are germane to this discussion:

Ephesians 4:31-32 – “You must put away all bitterness, anger, wrath, quarreling, and slanderous talk – indeed all malice.  32 Instead, be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.”

Galatians 5:17-26 – “For the flesh has desires that are opposed to the Spirit, and the Spirit has desires that are opposed to the flesh, for these are in opposition to each other so that you cannot do what you want. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, depravity, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish rivalries, dissensions, factions, 21 envying, murder, drunkenness, carousing, and similar things. I am warning you, as I had warned you before: Those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God!

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Now those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also behave in accordance with the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, being jealous of one another.”

Hate destroys, but God’s love restores!   The problem we face today is a “Heart Problem.”  As long as we feed the serpent of hate, it will dominate us and our society, and we will see chaos, confusion, and destruction.  I am praying for a revival of the love of God and respect for each other.  I am praying for a restoration of civility and appreciation from the 1st Amendment.  I am praying for our world!  God help us; we are in trouble!

Prejudicial hate is destroying us.  People hate today based on ethnicity, religious preferences, political ideologies, socioeconomic status, educational status, musical preferences, sexual preferences, and even geographical affiliations.   Hate is irrational, illusional, and delusional. 

Those consumed with “hate” are zealous and believe beyond a doubt that they are right. They believe that everyone else is wrong, and rather than trying to persuade others with rational and logical arguments and debates, they seek to destroy the dissenters.  We have morphed from those on one side or the other wanting to establish ‘reeducation camps’ to the desire for ‘extermination’ of those disagreeing.  That is the end result of hate! 

Today’s American politics has been transformed from differences of opinion to a disallowance of any dissent or disagreement.  It is “my way or the highway.”  In some respects, is it “my way or the cemetery.”  Thus, we have incidents like that with former President Trump in Pennsylvania and the twenty-year-old who attempted to assassinate him.  Hate produces that kind of result.

Therefore, if we do not come to grips with reality and demand more civility and open debate without vitriol from ourselves and others, we will see more and more of these incidents.  Where will it end?  In a full-blown blood-letting civil war, and America will be destroyed!  We have a constitution and laws, and we must maintain the highest level of appreciation and value for human life so that we are restrained from being like the third-world nations that live in unbridled hate. 

America, we need to return or turn to God and reinvest ourselves in morality, civility, and respect.  God bless you, and God bless America!

THOMAS JEFFERSON GOT IT RIGHT…


There is a quote by Mr. Jefferson that fits today’s situation.  “The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions that I wish it to always be alive.”   Is that not appropriate for today?  I realize that I may sound like a broken record with my continual harping about the need to “take back our country,” but if we do not Stand Together and Resist the Takeover by those on the Left, we will Stand Together in Chains!  I want an America that I do not have to describe to my grandchildren and great-grandchildren as something that we used to have where men were free, private property was protected, and we enjoyed freedom of religion. 

I am not calling for “armed resistance” but for “active resistance” through every medium available to educate the public about what is happening in our current government, which has been for decades. I am calling for “active involvement” in local groups, organizations, campaigns, and elections to ensure that people who hold our core values, respect the Constitution, and value a Free America are placed in office. 

I believe that we must do this from the ground up without neglecting any level all the way to the top.  It is not enough to get good local officials in office.  It is not enough to get State officials who hold those values.  No, we must replace those who are willing to sell us out at every level all the way to the Whitehouse.  It may take several election cycles to get the job done, but if we band together and stay the course, we have a slim hope of accomplishing this goal.

Therefore, commit yourself to becoming involved prayerfully and vocally at every level of the political scene.  Your Liberty and Freedom Depend on it!  The glaring question for many is, “Should Christians be involved in politics?”

Let me quote Thomas Jefferson to explain my comments:  “Can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath?” –Thomas Jefferson: Notes on Virginia Q.XVIII, 1782. ME 2:227

I have often been asked how I can reconcile being a preacher and include the political in my speaking and efforts.  I have always believed them to be uniquely connected in the sense that without the God-given freedom politically and socially that we have enjoyed for more than two centuries in America. 

If we sit in silence, we will lose our religious freedom as well as our other freedoms.  Likewise, the Constitution does not prohibit the Church, preachers, or members of any congregation from speaking out against what we believe to be an offense and violation of the teachings of Scripture.  The tired old argument of “Separation of Church and State” is not Constitutional.  It is a modern interpretation of convenience that many Christians embrace. 

It is based on a false premise that somehow, if the Church and State are separated, we keep our Religious Freedom, but the converse is true.  The Constitution designed a provision to prevent the Federal Government from establishing a National Religion, such as England’s, and promote it above others.  The founders desired that Americans be free to worship God as they chose within the parameters of not violating the rights and safety of others.  They wanted a person to be free to believe in God or not.  They wanted to prevent eliminating God from the political spectrum and process simply because it might offend some who did not believe.  They believed that it would violate our right to freedom of speech. 

In today’s society, we have been lulled into a stupor, become complacent, or duped into believing that it is okay for a minority of people to dictate to the majority what they can and cannot do from a religious standpoint politically.  Atheists can be vocal and express their views; today, Muslims and even those who worship Satan can practice and promote their beliefs, but Christians are disallowed. 

That is amazing, considering that unmistakable evidence of the Bible and biblical teaching is interwoven in the fabric of our Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. The Bible influenced their thinking, guided their deliberations, and was a foundational part of becoming a free nation. Yet, we have banned God from public institutions and instructed churches and religious organizations that if they engage in the political debate, their non-profit status will be called into question. 

I contend that we are to call some edicts into question.  We must ask, “Who am I to obey, God or man?”  

  • If something is wrong based on the clear teachings of Scripture, how can I be silent? 
  • If I do not warn the wicked to turn from their wicked ways, their blood is on my hands. 
  • If I do not try to lead the blind into the light, I am guilty of aiding their demise. 
  • WHO WILL if I do not stand in the gap and make up the hedge? 
  • Therefore, as a Christian, a preacher, and a former pastor, it is my conviction that not being involved in the political landscape would violate my faith.

I am not suggesting that everyone should feel or believe as I do. Instead, I am offering an explanation as to why I stay actively engaged in this process.  It has less to do with any political figure than with honoring God.  I do believe that some politicians are destructive for this country and the citizens of this land.  However, I also believe God is the source and solution to what ails America and the world.  I hope that I can somehow be instrumental in seeing a Restored America.  If I can, then I believe we will become a Nation that Returns to God!  I always ask that we remember what is at stake when we vote.

IS MORALITY AN ISSUE?


Before you answer affirmatively or negatively, I ask that you consider some things I will attempt to bring to the forefront of the discussion. I believe that America’s moral shift is one of the most significant reasons for our current condition politically, relationally, internationally, fiscally, and spiritually. You can agree or disagree; that is your right and choice. 

For decades, I have watched a noticeable shift in the definition of morality in my beloved America. I am more than 70 years old, and in my decades on the planet, I have witnessed many changes in politics, interpersonal relationships, religious agendas, approaches, and virtually every sector of life. Some of those changes have been astoundingly good, and some alarmingly bad.

Some find my use of the Bible in my discussions anathema, and others applaud my commitment to my faith and my valuing of God’s Word, precepts, and principles.  Some question my beliefs, and some disdain my political views.  Again, that is their right, privilege, and choice.  I do not run from my position but staunchly stand by my convictions.

When I examine history and my experiences, I look at America and readily acknowledge that this Republic is in a constant state of flux. Change is inevitable in life, for nothing remains static. However, some bedrock issues should never change or be abandoned in the pursuit of modernism and progress. One of those is basic human morality, which I believe is biblical morality.

The argument that religion or God has no place in the political discussion and the function of government is a flawed argument.  I contend that based on what I believe the Bible teaches and the writings of our founders.  Our 1st U.S. President, George Washington, said, “While we are zealously performing the duties of good citizens and soldiers, we certainly ought not to be inattentive to the higher duties of religion. To the distinguished character of Patriot, it should be our highest glory to add the more distinguished character of Christian.” ––The Writings of Washington, pp. 342-343.

That was not an isolated view, for many, if not most, of the founders held the view that God and morality were essential in our becoming a free republic and enduring as one.  John Adams wrote to Thomas Jefferson on June 28, 1813, saying, “Now I will avow, that I then believe, and now believe, that those general Principles of Christianity, are as eternal and immutable, as the Existence and Attributes of God; and that those Principles of Liberty, are as unalterable as human Nature and our terrestrial, mundane System.”

Benjamin Rush’s view of morality is expressed in his ‘Essays, Literal, Moral, and Philosophical’ published in 1798.  “If moral precepts alone could have reformed mankind, the mission of the Son of God into all the world would have been unnecessary.  The perfect morality of the gospel rests upon the doctrine which, though often controverted, has never been refuted: I mean the vicarious life and death of the Son of God.”

Alexis de Tocqueville, in ‘Democracy in America,’ expressed his view of what made America great.  He believed that equality was his era’s great political and social idea.  He believed that the United States of America offered the most advanced example of equality in action.  He admired American individualism but warned that a society of individuals could easily become atomized and paradoxically uniform when “every citizen, being assimilated to all the rest, is lost in the crowd.”  He feared the ‘democratic tyranny of the majority,’ in which individual rights were compromised or usurped.

America was a beacon of hope and freedom that shone brightly worldwide. Its otherness compared to the despotism of the world and the tyrannical monarchial systems drew people like moths to a flame. In the view of the founders, that beacon could only continue to shine so long as we honored God and recognized the value of following His precepts.

George Washington in his inaugural address of 1789 said, “I dwell on this prospect with every satisfaction which an ardent love for my Country can inspire: since there is no truth more thoroughly established, than that there exists in the economy and course of nature, an indissoluble union between virtue and happiness, between duty and advantage, between the genuine maxims of an honest and magnanimous policy, and the solid rewards of public prosperity and felicity: Since we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of Heaven, can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained: And since the preservation of the sacred fire of liberty, and the destiny of the Republican model of Government, are justly considered as deeply, perhaps as finally staked, on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people.

In a book published in 1835, Andrew Reed and James Matheson, two British ministers, wrote of America, “America will be great if America is good. If not, her greatness will vanish like a morning cloud.”  We have shifted significantly in our moral moorings, and the devaluation of biblical moral principles is weakening the foundations of our Republic.

America was not founded solely on certain ideals but on a certain kind of people, predominately Christian, and it is dependent on their moral virtue for survival. When the pillars of morality are destroyed, the nation will plunge into a social darkness that makes it impossible to remain free.

As the morals of a society are eroded and fade, so do the liberties of that society.  T.S. Eliot advanced this idea in his series of lectures at Cambridge University in 1939.  He said, “The choice before is the creation of a new Christian culture and acceptance of a pagan one.  To speak of ourselves as a Christian Society, in contrast to that of [National Socialist] Germany or [Communist] Russia, is an abuse of terms. We mean only that we have a society in which no one is penalized for the formal profession of Chistianity; but we conceal from ourselves the unpleasant knowledge of the real values by which we live.”  

America seems to be abandoning our founding principles and morphing toward a pagan philosophy of moral relativism, where power alone determines what is right.  Our inalienable rights granted by our creator are hanging in the balance.  Freedom of speech, religion, and equal protection under the law are endangered.  Our Republic moves nearer extinction as our definitions and practice of morality shift away from the biblical precept.

I believe that if we are to salvage America and keep our Republic a Free Constitutional System, we must return to God and restore our moral moorings. That would include strengthening the family unit and readopting the idea that “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.” 

I call on all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and followers of the Bible to embrace the call of 2 Chronicles 7:14 and fall on our faces in repentance, individually and nationally. I ask God to bring us back to being One Nation Under God, where liberty and justice can be experienced. America is a prize worth fighting for, and I ask you to join the fight for Faith, Family, and Freedom!

The World is in a Mess…


My title is an understatement of epic proportions!  We are in a moral mess, a societal mess, an economic mess, a political mess, and a mess in virtually every designation of societal life.  We keep trying to fix the problem using the tools that got us in the mess we are in. 

Messes have causes!  We did not get where we are overnight or by osmosis.  It has been systematic and orgasmic.  We have, in a measure, evolved into the condition over a very long period of time.   The erosion of society has many symptoms but only a few root causes.  I will not attempt to enumerate them; I’m not sure I know them all.

However, I am convinced that our major problem in today’s world is not a political, economic, or ethnic problem per se.  It is a heart problem!  By that, I mean we have devolved into a condition of moral decline that has ushered us to the brink of what the Bible calls the “Last Days.” 

The vitriol being spewed from all sides of the political aisle reflects a condition that cannot be resolved politically.  We may help ourselves and temporarily right the ship at the polls, but that will not fix society’s core issues today.  We need outside help to bring us back to rightness.  That help can only come from God!  

If that statement offends you, I am sorry you are offended.  However, I will stand by my assertion, for I believe it with everything in me.  I am a natural-born American, a Vietnam veteran, a patriot, a parent, and most of all, a Christian.  I believe the Bible!  I believe it is the Inspired Word of God, not some mythological book that contains some words from God.  I believe it “is” God’s Inspired Word and our guide for life.

When I look at the condition of people today globally, I can only conclude that we are on the precipice of what the Bible calls “The Last Days.”  I want to address where we are with that in view.  I am not suggesting that we do not need to be involved politically; we do!  But, if we expect to vote our way to sanity, civility, and freedom, we are being delusional. 

Consider some characteristics the Bible declares will characterize people in the “Last Days.”  Then, after you have reviewed them, you can decide what you think.  I hope my presentation will cause each heart to desire to turn back to God or turn more to God and seek to be right within, not just politically or in an argument.

  1. People will be lovers of themselves (2 Timothy 3:2)
  2. People will be covetous (2 Timothy 3:2)
  3. People will be boasters (2 Timothy 3:2)
  4. People will be proud. (2 Timothy 3:2)
  5. People will be blasphemers (2 Timothy 3:2)
  6. People will be disobedient to parents (2 Timothy 3:2)
  7. People will be unthankful (2 Timothy 3:2)
  8. People will consider nothing as sacred (2 Timothy 3:2)
  9. People will be unloving (2 Timothy 3:3)
  10. People will be unforgiving (2 Timothy 3:3)
  11. People will slander others (2 Timothy 3:3)
  12. People will have no self-control (2 Timothy 3:3)
  13. People will be unusually cruel and ruthless (2 Timothy 3:3)
  14. People will have no interest in what is good (2 Timothy 3:3)
  15. People will betray friends (2 Timothy 3:4)
  16. People will be reckless (2 Timothy 3:4)
  17. People will be puffed up with pride (2 Timothy 3:4)
  18. People will be lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God (2 Timothy 3:4)
  19. People will have a form of godliness but deny God (2 Timothy 3:5)
  20. People will take advantage of women, weakened by sin (2 Timothy 3:6)
  21. People will always be learning but not coming to the knowledge of the truth (2 Timothy 3:7)
  22. People will resist the truth (2 Timothy 3:8)
  23. People will have corrupt minds (2 Timothy 3:8)
  24. People will have a fake faith from a depraved mind (2 Timothy 3:8)
  25. People will not progress in fake faith and fail miserably (2 Timothy 3:9)

As I consider the craziness of today’s society and compare that to the characteristics of people in the biblical “Last Days,” I find an explanation for why we are where we are.  The devaluing of human life is too prevalent for comfort.  The confusion of gender is deeply troubling. The frequent attempts to eliminate all mention of God from the public square are revealing.  The governmental attempts to destroy the two-parent family structure are alarming. 

We are becoming a world where everyone is a law to themselves and answerable to no one. We are watching the adoption of the idea that there are no absolute truths, which can only lead to a society without core foundational beliefs that help people navigate life in a civil society.

Hate is so prevalent that political agendas take a back seat to personal preference. Entitlement has become so common that people seem willing to sell their freedom and their souls for a government check. Personal responsibility has evaporated, and the easy road of blaming someone or something is the road most traveled.

I believe we can see a respite in the destruction.  However, I do not believe we can see that without returning to our moral moorings and a reinstitution of biblical precepts in society.  Without a change of heart, we are doomed to continue the downward spiral into the abyss of chaos and anarchy.   That condition invites the tyrants who seek total control to ascend to the throne. 

Unfortunately, the wound our world has is a self-inflicted wound.  If you consider this preachy, so be it!  My life, worldview, politics, and societal views are rooted in the Bible.  As long as I have breath, I will stand for Faith, Family, and Freedom!   I believe there is Hope!  I believe that Hope is in God!
