Politicians Fiddle While America Burns.

Why do I charge politicians with such a diabolical charge?  One of the reasons is the complete lack of civility, common sense, and understanding of our Republican form of government.

Over the past few days and weeks, I have found it perplexing to listen to, watch, and experience the lack of civility and common sense, and the complete failure to comprehend the American Republic by many.  I am not claiming I know it all or much at all.

Our American Republic, which was fought for and established by the Founders and Framers, is incredibly valuable, often vulnerable, and complex in many ways.  Today’s academia, many jurists, most politicians, and many citizens in today’s American Society seem to have little grasp of the ingenious system designed, desired, and established by the Patriots of the American Revolution and the Framers of the American Constitution and System of Government.

Many today, even some who usually are on the Constitutional and Conservative side of the political issues, believe that the American Constitution should be interpreted according to the current ideological precepts rather than the Original Intent.   The Framers understood the inherent danger in that concept.

In the document’s wording and the framers’ extensive writing, they sought to warn and encourage the following generations to adhere to the Original Intent strictly.  Viewing the American Constitution in any other light strips that document of its authority and power and endangers our Constitutional Republic’s existence.

There are many today who believe that America is a Democracy, and IT IS NOT!   We are a Representative Democracy or a Republic, not a Pure Greek direct democracy where the majority rules.   The Founders and Framers’ clarion call was to avoid pure democracy at all costs and detailed the perils extensively in their writings.  They placed safeguards in the Constitution and Bill of Rights, which embodied the intent of the Declaration of Independence.   They sought to provide us with a framework and system of government that would weather changing whims within any group or groups, political, social, or economic.

Their labors were nothing short of miraculous and amazing, and our American Republic has weathered some incredible storms over the past 240-plus years.    We can weather more IF, which is the Key IF, and preserve the Constitution and interpret it through the grid of Original Intent.

The Constitution is not a living document continually evolving to adapt to any generation’s morals, modes, mores, or whims.  It provides a means for Limited Government and places far more power in the hands of the individual States than within the Central Government.  That was the intent, but we have allowed politicians and bureaucrats to modify and codify it to the point that we have created a political monster known as the federal government.

The ever-increasing rhetoric, diatribe, and call for intensified harassment and even violence, mainly by those on the Left, are destroying all hope of Civility and sending Common Sense packing.   It matters not if you are on the Left or the Right; you have no right to engage in violence or the authority to censor anyone’s Freedom of Speech.

  • Everyone has certain inalienable rights that are given by God, not government.
  • Everyone has the right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.
  • Everyone has the right to Freedom of Speech and the Right of Self-Defense.
  • Everyone has the right to maintain, keep, and protect their Personal Property.  EVERYONE!

Just because you or I do not like a candidate or ideology does not mean we have the right to seek the silencing of those voices.  That is one of the things that makes our American System so great: we allow differences of opinion and open debate.

However, when the debate, even heated disagreement, turns into violence of calls for “getting in their faces,” “bringing a gun to a knife fight,” or “overt harassment,” we have crossed the line.  Maxine Waters and others on the Left crossed that line frequently.  The attempt to argue that this began with Donald J. Trump is somewhat ludicrous. I remember Michelle and Barack Obama calling for stepped-up protests and even aggression, so it is not new, but something that needs to stop.

Civility is a prize plum worth striving for.   Even our Framers and Founders had heated debates and intense disagreements as to our system of government.  Still, they kept civility intact, for the most part, enabling them to reach a workable agreement.

When the debate descends into HATE and ANGER boils over, all hope of compromise or concrete solutions vanish.  Some say, “I don’t hate Trump; I am oblivious to him,” and yet incessantly attack him and those who are supporting him; I argue they are not oblivious to him at all.

I did not like the policies of Barack Obama and highlighted where I thought he was wrong frequently, but for the sake of our American Republic, I did not want anything to happen to him, such as being called for against Donald Trump.  I believe and believed that Barack Obama did not have the best interest of America at heart and that he was being true to his stated position that “if the political winds turned sour, he would side with the Muslims.”

In many of his policies and edicts, he demonstrated that America was, in his mind, an evil empire needing correction and/or punishment for her sins, which he deemed were many.  On the other hand, I believe that Donald Trump has America’s best interests at heart.  He may be misguided in some of his actions, over the top in some of his Twitter responses, and take wrong actions from time to time, but in his heart, America is first.

The mid-term elections of 2026 are critical.  If anyone allows their dislike for the President to prevent them from defeating the Leftist Progressive Toxic Liberal Agenda, we will endanger, if not open the door to the destruction of our American Republic.

The Supreme Court is vital for preserving our Republic and the Constitution as it was written and intended.  Things like Border Security, the Supreme Court, our Inalienable Rights, keeping our Tax Breaks, strengthening our National Security and Military, and enabling our Economy to keep moving in an upward direction all hang in the balance.

I do not suggest that anyone violate their convictions and principles.  Still, I suggest that keeping America Safe and Free is vital to our continued enjoyment of our Freedoms and Liberties.  I do not always find that life affords me what I want, but presents me with choices that require me to decide and take action that provides the best hope of achieving our desired objective.

Socialism is on the rise in the Democratic Party, and Socialism would be a disaster in America.  Obamacare was an experiment in Socialism, and the Open Borders demands, as well as the many Entitlement and so-called protected classes of people’s needs, are driving our Republic to the precipice of the Abyss.

I will fight against that with every breath and ounce of energy.  I will try to maintain Civility, use Common Sense and Reason, and stand firmly on the Side of the American Republic as is detailed in the Constitution and Bill of Rights.  My position is, without apology, for Faith, Family, and Freedom!

God bless you, and God bless America!

What Happens When Worlds Collide?

It does not matter what we are talking about, but when differing worldviews collide, there are always casualties.  Frequently, that includes the truly innocent.    We live in a world where opposing world views politically, religiously, economically, and socially are on a collision course, and the fallout will be massive.

Religion:

In the realm of religious beliefs, we have opposing views with Islam on one side and every other religion in the world on the other.   War makes strange bedfellows, it would seem, but those specifically in the crosshairs of the followers of fundamental Islam are Christianity and Judaism.

We are witnessing an ever-rising tide of violence and brutality by Islamic jihadists toward both.  The slaughter is leaving a trail of havoc and destruction, touching a host of people who are other than direct participants.  It causes a level of distrust and animosity toward all Muslims.  Fear is gripping the hearts of many due to what the jihadists are doing.   If this continues, it will eventually plunge the world into a shooting war.   I believe it is predicted in the Bible, and we live in the generation observing it being walked out in real time and reality.

Societal:

In the social realm of society, we have opposing views about many things, including homosexual marriage, racial relations, abortion, and many others.   Those disagreements are triggering outbursts by small groups of well-organized activists.  Their antics have a negative social and economic impact on innocent bystanders.

Jobs are being lost, lives traumatized so severely that some are having experiences that can only be likened to the PTSD of our military.  (I do not want to disparage our troops, but the trauma is real in this.)  The sentiments on both sides of these issues are often deeply rooted and not easily quieted.   Unfortunately, anytime worlds collide, people are hurt.  I believe this is described in the Bible as characteristics of the Last Days that we are watching unfold before our eyes.

Economics:

In the economic realm, the opposing worlds of Free Market Capitalism and Marxist-Socialism in America are on a collision course.  The collision of Marxist-Socialism with its redistribution mindset, jealousy toward success, quest for power, and control, and Free Market Capitalism will destroy many.  I believe.

There are governmental and non-governmental groups, along with numerous leftist activist groups, seeking to drive businesses out of America.  Thankfully, President Trump can rein in the regulations, demands, and costs imposed by the previous administration.  That will provide a brief respite and avert the head-on collision.

Some blame corporations and the mom-and-pop businesses for wanting to make a profit as the culprits of our economic woes.  Some rail against the rich.  But if no corporations or small business people were willing to invest and take risks, what would that do to the job market?

People who have no real interest in either side of this argument but simply want to work and earn a living are being damaged by the collision of these two worlds.   It is happening in real time and reality, and those who have lost a job or find one comparable are among those being injured.

Politics:

In the realm of politics, the war between the two major parties is often more about control than upholding the Constitution.  Their agendas and actions are seldom in the best interest of the American people.  They demonstrate precious little concern about who gets hurt when those two worlds collide.

Who gets hurt?  It is not the politicians but Mr. and Mrs. Average Citizen.  It is that individual who desires to live in a Free Society, earn a living to care for their own, and be left alone.  Those are the ones who most frequently feel the pinch of the political wars.  Politicians are all about Power and Money, not Public Service and People.

I can understand why some have become so turned off by the political jockeying of the differing political worlds and have checked out, refusing to vote or participate in the discussion.  They consider both major parties and some lesser parties, just variations of each other, and to a degree, they are right.

My concern is that if we fail to be aware and involved on any of those fronts, we will not be exempt from the fallout of the collisions.   If we abrogate our responsibility, our lack of involvement can empower both sides of that collision.  They have no viable feedback or pushback from the public.   In that scenario, they will continue to pad their bank accounts, create networks, and entrench themselves in the power grid, and the average citizen will pay the price.

If this only affected the generation in which it occurred, I would say, “Fine, you allowed it, you pay the penalty.”   Sadly, it does not, and successive generations who are not part of the process, and the innocent, will suffer the most, which is tragic.   That is one of the many reasons I cannot be Silent and will pray earnestly and work diligently for a Restored Republic in America.

God bless you and God bless America!

Agreement – America’s Downfall

Before you assume something, I am not saying that being in agreement will not be the cause of America’s demise, destruction, reduction, or lapsing into something other than the Constitutional Republic designed and desired by the Framers and Founders.  Instead, the lack of agreement and having a House Divided could and possibly will bring about our downfall.

The imposed darkness that is the byproduct of WOKENESS, Political Correctness, politically, socially, morally, economically, and spiritually in America is a genuine threat.  Please do not take that statement to mean that I believe we are doomed; I do not!     If we repeat the process of 2016-2020 and fail to support Donald Trump, we will likely experience the Obama and Biden agendas on steroids in 2028.

We are not One Nation or a Unified Nation.   Maybe we have never been, but I believe we once were, and assuredly, we are much more than we are today.    That makes me Mr. Obvious, but let me continue and explain.

We are not in Agreement in America, and the Division is more pronounced than I have ever witnessed in my numerous decades on the planet.   I will concede that we possibly have never been in total agreement in America.   However, we found pathways that enabled us to come together for a common purpose in the past.

I’m not sure that is possible today because of the Division that is now being nurtured in our society.   We were not in total agreement in 1776, but there were sufficient numbers of citizens who believed in the cause of Freedom to make the Revolution possible.   There were enough who embraced the vision of a Free Republic to enable us to stand, having done all and stand firm in faith and with the conviction to fight to the finish.

Likewise, we were not in total agreement in WWI or WWII.  Still, sufficient numbers of Americans rallied around the cause of preventing despotism from controlling the known world, and we made the national commitment to fight to the finish.  We agreed that stopping the Nazis and Imperial Japan was more important than our political, social, or ideological differences.   We United and Won!

We were not in total agreement on 9/11/2001.  However, there was visible evidence that the spirit of American Patriotism was alive and well.   People crossed party lines to unite against terrorism, at least for a time.   We did so in sufficient numbers to demonstrate to the world that we were America, a Republic of the United States, which was refreshing.

The unity diminished too quickly.   In November 2008, we woke up to realize that those who were conservative and desired the Constitutional Republic of the Founders and Framers were either apathetic or had drifted from their resolve.  The result was that Barack Obama became President.

That occurred again in 2012, to my dismay.  I could not imagine a nation intentionally inflicting this kind of pain and wounds upon itself a second time.  The evidence was plentiful of the Obama administration’s plans of destruction by fundamental transformation, the facilitation of our enemies, and the desertion of our friends.

We endured the absurdities and lies about Benghazi, fabrications as to the state of the economy, denial of the extent and impact of Islamic terrorism, and many other factors.    Once again, millions of those who should have gone to the polls exercised their right to protest by not voting, and America suffered.

The division in America grew racially, socially, economically, morally, and politically, and by the time 2016 arrived, there were sufficient numbers of American citizens who said Enough is enough!   The voters rejected the Democrats and their Liberal Progressive Socialist position and candidate and elected Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, as the 45th President of the United States of America.

It was not only the Leftists who opposed President Trump and harbored a deep hatred for him.   That hate was so pervasive that some members of the GOP joined forces with the Democrats to do everything in their power to stop, impede, or destroy him.

The Never Trump Crowd stood strong and united; sadly, they are still prevalent today.   The division in America produced an impasse then and is in danger of doing so again.   It may take a miracle of God to bridge the divide and produce the needed and desired outcomes.

We are a Divided House.   The biblical and historic warning is that if we remain so, we will fall.   Jesus explained in Matthew 12:22-28that any kingdom divided against itself is brought to ultimate ruin and falls.   We find in Amos 3:3 the truth that two cannot walk together unless they are in agreement.

I feel compelled to ask, “To what extent must we be in agreement to succeed as a Republic?”   We will never be in Total Agreement nationally or individually.    That is humanly impossible, and even with a sweeping revival from God, total agreement will not be a reality on earth until man rules man.

Can we bridge the chasm of division and find enough foundation for agreement to advance the cause of freedom and liberty in this nation?  For the good of the Republic, we must find a way to work together for the good of the country.   I hope we will.   I know we can, but will we?    Sadly, the evidence of the continuing TDS and divide reveals a deep-rooted, daunting problem.

America, we have enemies salivating over our division and longing for an opportunity to strike in our weakness and distraction.   Some have vowed to destroy us and have learned they can accomplish more from within than by frontal assault.    We have enemies who have infiltrated our government, bureaucratic organizations, the MSM, and our college campuses.  They have a platform for promoting division, disseminating discord, and misrepresenting truth, fanning the flames of Division.

America is more important than our personal preference in elected officials.    I wonder who the Never Trump Crowd would be fully satisfied with?   Has there ever been a president with whom people were fully satisfied?   The Leftists would only accept a radical leftist, so it is not they who cause me to ask my question.

We will never be in total agreement, and if we reject the policies and agenda of this president based on our dislike for him personally, we will harm the Republic that may not be repairable.    I do not ask anyone to like Donald Trump.   I ask that you find it in your heart to lay aside your dislikes and rally behind things he advances that are good for America.

I believe it is possible to become so determined to reject a person’s personality that it becomes impossible to hear or see their positive and good actions for the nation.    I know that some will take offense to that assertion and demand they are only standing on principle.   They will argue that it is a character issue, and any politician with character flaws must be summarily rejected, and all that he stands for or advances is unacceptable.

I disagree.  I do not disagree that character is important; it is supremely important.  However, we are talking about our American system of government.  America is more important than my preference for an individual.    Our disagreement does not mean we cannot find common ground and work or walk together for the Good of the Republic.

Therefore, I urge you to join me in evaluating every proposal of this administration and rally behind them if they are in America’s best interest.   I also ask that you join me in praying for America and our leaders to make the right choices and that Congress will awaken to the reality that America is more important than partisan politics.

God bless you, and God bless America!

Anarchist Past and Present

Let me offer the generally accepted definition of ‘Anarchist,’ and you determine if you think calling yourself one is commendable.   I am a Limited Government advocate, not a no-government advocate!

Anarchist – “An anarch is one who advocates anarchy or aims at the overthrow of civil government.   One who believes in or advocates the absence of hierarchy and authority in most forms, especially one who works toward the realization of such.  One who disregards laws and social norms as a form of rebellion against authority.”

Merriam-Webster defines anarchist:

“a person who rebels against any authority, established order, or ruling power.  A person who believes in, advocates, or promotes anarchism or anarchy, especially: one who uses violent means to overthrow order.”

When I review our American history groups, such as the ‘Weathermen,’ later identified as the ‘Weather Underground Organization’ surface, which was an extreme left-wing organization that carried out bombings, jailbreaks, and organized riots in the late ’60s and beyond.  There was also the ‘Students for a Democratic Society (SDS).

They included people such as Bernardine Dohrn, Eleanor Raskin, Dianne Donghi, Peter Clapp, David Millstone, and Diana Oughton.  They collaborated with the communist regimes of North Vietnam and Cuba, attempting to subvert and overthrow the U.S. Government.  Others who were involved were Bill Ayers and other prominent names from the past.

Amazingly, some of those now occupy bureaucratic positions and serve as college professors who teach today’s youth.  They use their office or platform to bend those young minds toward their liberal, leftist, anarchist point of view.   They engaged in riots, looting, and destruction, as well as arming the “New Black Panthers” for war against the government and against whites.   They murdered police and gunned down citizens in acts of terror, and tragically, at times, escaped the long arm of the law and were supported by Leftist Politicians.

If any of that sounds familiar as you view what has been happening today and in the past few years, you realize the fruit of the root is still with us.    A little research and investigation reveal that some of those behind the organization of these modern anarchist activities are none other than Bill Ayers, George Soros, and other leftist activists. They are devoted Haters of America!

The hate is multi-generational, and it is rooted in a Communist Marxist manifesto that desires to destroy our system of government.  One of its primary objectives is to destroy capitalism.  The argument that things are ‘not fair,’ and we need to level the playing field’ is their mantra.

Sadly, the playing field they want to level would be slanted to their advantage.  It would result in many of those pulling the strings becoming incredibly wealthy and powerful, allowing them to use the pawns of their destruction, the protesters.  Unfortunately, those pawns are often ill-informed or uninformed.

These guiding anarchists prey on emotions, fan the flames of hate, and seek to divide the nation.  They believe that destroying property, hampering the normal commerce of America, and even violently attacking detractors are both acceptable and desirable.  The forces behind these protests consider this WAR, even if those marching and committing acts of violence and felonious acts do not.

Sometimes I think of the infamous Yogi Berra and say, “It’s like deja vu, all over again.”   With the Republicans controlling both Houses of Congress and occupying the Oval Office, the Leftists are once again ramping up the chaos and destruction.  It is Deja-vu and a very distasteful blast from the past.

If we ignore their antics, activities, and agendas, we do so to our hurt.  We must expose it for what it is and refuse to be bullied by the tactics.  We must insist that lawbreakers are prosecuted and held accountable when laws are broken.  We must not allow the MSM, the Leftist Democrats, and weak-willed Republicans to force us down the road to destruction and abandonment of our Core Principles found in the Constitution and the Bible.

The vitriol of the Leftists is not only distasteful but also dangerous.  You can only push people so far before they push back, and often, the pushback is more severe than the initial push.  We are on the brink of a Civil War in America.   The eight years of Barack Hussein Obama and the four years of Leftism under Joe Biden have severely damaged our Republic.  It will take a long time to recover if we can.

The misrepresentations of agendas like Obamacare have entrenched themselves in the minds of the ill-informed.   Obamacare did not do what it was reportedly going to do.  However, I believe it has largely accomplished what it was designed to do.   I believe that at its roots, it was designed to collapse the entire healthcare industry or the health insurance industry.

It created havoc and chaos through denied or delayed care. It escalated the cost to the point that the public was tempted to accept “Universal Health Care” or a “Single-Payer System,” where the government pays for healthcare and makes the healthcare decisions for the citizens.   Sadly, the government paying for anything is a misnomer.  If the government pays for it, We Pay For It!

The Leftists, even before Mr. Trump was inaugurated the first time, were raising money to have him impeached.  Then and now, there are those on the Left who are calling for his assassination.   The Democrats are poised, once again, to oppose and obstruct everything that President Trump and the Republicans attempt.

Hopefully, this time around, the Republicans in Congress will develop a spine and have a willingness to stand their ground and fight for America.   If they will, we will see many of the destructive policies of the Obama and Biden administrations reversed.  We will witness the nation begin the process of healing.

I believe that if we enforce the law and, when protests become riots, people are arrested, and we truly communicate what is happening, most Americans will stand for what is right.  If we articulate the dangers of illegal immigration, including the gangs, drugs, disease, and terrorism threats, many will see the light and be willing to resist the Left’s false narrative.

But if we allow those seeking to bully America to go unscathed, we will embolden and encourage them losing our Republic.   Are we willing to allow the terrorism of the ’60s to become acceptable today?  The answer to that will determine the future of America.

God bless you, and God bless America again!

Should Muslims Condemn Islamic Terrorism?

My immediate response would be YES!   I realize that in today’s politically correct, tolerant world, that brands me as Islamophobic.   I disagree, but if that is the brand you want to use, that is your choice.  I believe that my assertion is that it is not only a reasonable request but a moral one.  Everyone should condemn terrorism regardless of its source or root!

A few years ago, I was disturbed when an American Muslim, Rana Elmir, who was the deputy director of the ACLU of Michigan, declared “emphatically” that she would not condemn jihadist terrorism.  The foundation for that was “because I am Muslim.”

She argued that she would not condemn the terrorism that was being perpetuated by psychopaths, whom she said were misrepresenting her religion.   In her attempt to defend her position, she drew comparisons to Dylan Storm Roof’s attack on a Black church in South Carolina, the Planned Parenthood shootings, and the slaughter of moviegoers in Colorado or Louisiana.   Her expressed view was that if she were to condemn the jihadist, she would be admitting her own guilt.   I found her argument weak on many fronts and misguided.

That kind of mindset reaches for comparisons to justify the atrocities of terrorism.  All terrorism should be soundly condemned, regardless of who or what group perpetrates it!   The ludicrous idea that you cannot condemn acts of terrorism by those following the same religions as you is beyond ridiculous.

When an act of terrorism or senseless violence occurs at the hands of anyone claiming they have a mandate from their god and holy book to do so, it should elicit the swift and immediate condemnation of all followers of that religion.

If anyone commits an act of terror while professing to be a Christian and claiming that God ordered them to do so, I will immediately condemn that act.  I will call it what it is, terrorism and a blatantly false interpretation of the Bible.   Christians have united across political and ideological lines to condemn senseless violence because the clear teaching of the Bible does not support a caliphate where Christians are commanded to kill, behead, maim, and mutilate anyone not converting to Christianity.

In today’s politically charged world, the hypocrisy is readily visible.  For example, when there is a mass shooting, regardless of whether the shooter claims some moral basis for their actions, Christians are not asked to condemn the terrorism, but the weapon of choice used.   On the other hand, when there is an act of Muslim terrorism or jihadism, the weapon is never mentioned.

Instead of offering the same condemnation of the weapon and launching an effort to “ban” or “restrict” various firearms, there is a concerted attempt to declare that the Islamic terrorists are not Islamic or Muslim but rather misguided individuals.   If someone non-Muslim commits an act of terror, there is no mention or consideration of them being misguided, but the focus is on the weapon, not the individual.  In both cases, I assert that it is not the weapon but the heart that causes the problem.

In my research of the followers of the Islamic caliphate and perpetrators of jihadism and terrorism, they cite the consistent and repeated passages of their book instructing them to do what they do.  Conversely, the Bible does not offer the same command but focuses on love, forgiveness, and redemption.

Therefore, I ask, “Should Muslims condemn Islamic terrorism?”  My answer is that it is not only not wrong but reasonable to ask the so-called moderate Muslims to openly condemn jihad.  The fact that it is rare to find a Muslim willing to condemn Islamic terrorism suggests a need to further examine the so-called religion of peace in its core teachings.  Terrorism should be condemned regardless of its ideological source.

I cannot imagine Christian leaders or Christians not openly condemning any group who claimed to be following the Bible to murder, maim, rape, pillage, and beheading those they considered “apostates.”   It seems that many Muslims live in fear of offering such condemnation.   Fearful of the caliphate.

It would seem logical to me that if any Muslim truly believed Islam was a religion of peace, they would openly and immediately step forward and condemn jihadism and terrorism committed in the name of Islam.  Many polls indicate that many so-called moderate Muslims not only refuse to condemn the actions of Hamas, ISIS, and other terrorist groups but believe they are right and desire Sharia Law wherever they reside to supersede the Laws of that Land.

Terrorism is a genuine threat in our present world, whether we acknowledge it or not.    Numerous terrorist groups and nations have openly declared their desire and intent to destroy America and Israel.   They have proven that they will carry out their threats if allowed to operate unimpeded.

We err gravely if we make excuses for an attempt to disassociate the ideological and religious from the jihadists.   We should be asking what drives them to do what they do rather than suggesting that anyone openly critical of their actions is somehow phobic.  Tragically, the focus and blame are frequently pointed in the wrong direction.

I focus on Islamic terrorism because it is the most prevalent in today’s world.  Therefore, until Muslims unitedly stand against the Islamic caliphate and condemn the jihad and terror, we should not assume or adopt the view that the jihadists are radicals but fundamentalists.

I pray that we will wake up before it is too late.   Let me conclude by saying, “I pray for all people and desire that all people come to the Light of God’s love, mercy, and grace.”   I readily acknowledge there are many Muslims who do not engage in violence or terror.  Yet, in those seemingly peaceable communities, some of the atrocities committed against women, children, and others are unthinkable in what is called a religion of peace.   Terrorism is evil, no matter its ideological or religious base!

God bless you, and God bless America!

Is The Divide Irrevocable?

Yes, I said it: Irrevocable Divide.  I wish I did not believe that we were on the precipice of irrevocability in our societal and political differences in America.  Barring divine intervention, America will probably never be united again.  The culprit is the prevalent unbridled hate, the desire for “my way,” and the diabolical agenda being leveled against this Republic.

Hate, as defined by the so-called “resistance,” the Never Trump coalition, and the fruit of apathy by too many for too long, is reaching a crescendo.  In 2016-2020, I thought it had reached its apex, but that era pales compared to the present hate.   Then, we have the ‘Dump Trump’ movement and the ‘Eradicate Trump’ agenda.

The followers of the toxic liberal rhetoric seem to honestly believe the narrative of the Media, the political establishment, and those funding the attempts to eliminate Trump and any of his supporters.  I refuse to call them “ignorant,” but I cannot overlook their being “uninformed” and even willfully ignorant.

Those enamored with the toxic liberal agenda have demonstrated a propensity to willingly believe what they read, hear, or see from the MSM, Politicians, and Hollywood.  They are blind followers of the Leftist Pied Piper.  Millions will one day wake up, but I fear it will be too late when that transpires.

I believe that there will come a time when they will realize that the “freebies” they were promised come at a price far beyond what they expected to pay.  I believe they will realize they have become slaves of the state and lament their decision.  They will argue that they were betrayed by both the Right and the Left, and that level of distrust will solidify the destruction of the Republic known as the United States of America.

How’s that for ‘gloom and doom’?  I’m sorry to sound so negative, but unless those of us who believe in God and are given to prayer begin to intercede for the Republic and the awakening fervently, my prediction will become a reality.  However, I do believe in God and practice prayer and committed long ago to interceding for America and, thereby, the world.

I would love to see something transpire where cooler heads prevail.  I long for and pray that, somehow, we can sit at the table of discussion and work through our differences.   Can that become a reality?  YES, but only through either a catastrophic disaster that brings everyone to their knees or a divine move of God on the hearts of men and women everywhere.

If the haters of Donald Trump were successful in ousting him as President, that would not cool temperatures.  Instead, it would result in something akin to a thermonuclear eruption on all sides.  The proponents for his ouster would not be satisfied because they would not get the person they desired in power.  Those who defend the Republic and this President would not be satisfied because of the illegitimate overthrow of a legitimate president.

The result would be total chaos, and the divide would become impossible to span.  The natural consequence would be the dismantling of our Constitutional Republic and splitting this nation into factions.  The chaos would result in an attempt of martial law and the imposition of an iron-fisted government that would give rise to a despotic tyranny that no one should desire.

The idea of the total destruction of a “House Divided” was voiced by Jesus in the Gospels (Mark 3:25; Matthew 12:22-28; Luke 11:17).  The apostle Paul referenced it in Galatians 5:15, “But if you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another.”  The Psalmist alluded to it in Psalm 133:1, “…Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!”

Are we brothers?  I answer that question with this question: “Are we Americans?”  Jesus asked, “Who is my neighbor?”  He responded in Luke 10 with the story of the Good Samaritan in contrast to the Priest and Levite, who ignored the need, but the Samaritan took care of the injured man.  Jesus then asked, “Which of these do you think was neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?”  They had no choice but to acknowledge it was the one who showed mercy.

In his address, Abraham Lincoln referred to the division of the Civil War and noted the Bible’s declaration, saying, “A house divided against itself cannot stand.”  He continued, “I believe this government cannot endure, permanently half slave and half free.  I do not expect the Union to be dissolved – I do not expect the house to fall – but I do expect it will cease to be divided.”  That is my prayer and desire – Unification!

We may continue to have differences, but that is not unhealthy.  We may desire different things, believe differently, and prefer different pathways in life, but that is not unhealthy.  We may become agitated and animated in our discussions, but if our singular purpose is the betterment of the Republic and the preservation of our Nation, we can Unite!

Your choice of ice cream may be vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, Rocky Road, or pistachio, which is okay.  I have no problem with differing preferences and applaud working toward convincing others to embrace your ideology, but the one thing that must be central is the Constitution.

The Left believes it is an ever-evolving document that evolves with the changing whims of a particular time or majority sentiment.  That would relegate it to becoming the tool of the devious in a Pure Democratic form of government, and Majority Rule would render that document meaningless.  However, our Founders and Framers understood this danger, worded the Constitution sufficiently to ward off ‘knee-jerk’ modifications, and insisted that we go through the tedious “amendment process” to alter that document.  Thank God They Did!

No president, congress, or court has the authority or right to change that document without the “due process” of a Constitutional Amendment, which is ratified by three-quarters of the states.   Regardless of population, each state has an equal voice in adopting or rejecting the proposed amendment.  That has safeguarded our Union and Republic for over 240 years, and it must remain the guiding principle of this nation.

If we allow the caldron of hate to reach the boiling point, we will open the door to such calamity and chaos survival as the Free Constitutional Republic may be impossible.  They become agitated when I try to talk to some on the Left and present documented factual data to back up my argument.

Frequently they resort to yelling and name-calling, insisting that I am a racist, bigot, and cultist too ignorant to know the truth if it bit me in the butt.  They offer no factual, verifiable data to back up their argument.  When confronted with examples of the failures of Socialism and Open Borders, they stop listening and want to fight.  That will never resolve differences.

The Bible says, “A soft answer turns away wrath.”  But it also says in Proverbs 14:7, “Go from the presence of a foolish man, when you perceive not in him the lips (or words) of wisdom.”  In Chapter Four of the Book of James, we are advised that the source of quarrels is the condition of the heart, selfishness, envy, and greed.  America, I know we can overcome this divide, but we cannot if we are unwilling to allow our anger to be dampened and temper our words with grace and understanding.  Name-calling only further escalates emotions and increases the divide.

My simple request is for everyone on both sides of the current political furor to Listen without judgment and try to understand where the other person is coming from.  Present your argument civilly, logically, factually, and with the objective of reaching a working solution in which our nation is preserved, not divided.

Is that possible?  It is with many people, and I am meeting more people who see the danger and are trying to learn the art of listening without judgment.  That being said, in the current climate, we cannot allow the control of government to be returned to those on the Left who are driven by an agenda that is dangerous for America and rooted in hate.  That would be catastrophic.

You may feel that I negated all my pleas with that statement.  I believe that, should the Democrats regain power at this time, they would fuel the flames of hate and plunge headlong into an agenda that would greatly hinder, if not totally destroy, our Republic.  I want to have an honest, open discussion at all levels and see America once again become “One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

Join me in prayer and in the fight for Faith, Family, and Freedom!   God bless you, and God bless America!

Have We Gone From Freedom to Slavery in America?

Some may misunderstand my title since the idea of slavery is not physical chains but political, economic, and mental slavery.   It is a condition that our Founding Fathers feared could transpire, and they did everything humanly possible to prevent its occurrence.  Sadly, we allowed it to happen by allowing the politicians to handle the politics.  This wound is self-inflicted, but it is also correctable.

The Bill of Rights is an amazing document.  It enumerates certain rights and liberties that were never to be infringed by the central government or any government.   The Founders recognized that our inalienable rights came from our Creator, not the government.

They believed that they had sufficiently provided safeguards to prevent the existence of a political ruling class.  They could not envision any American society that had tasted the liberties and freedoms embodied in our Constitution and Bill of Rights, allowing the government to surpass its constitutional authority.  They could not help but warn of the direness of it happening.

The Bill of Rights has become a Bill of No Rights on many fronts as the followers of a toxic brand of liberalism and progressivism gain power.  By power, I mean control, and as they take more and more liberties with their interpretation of or ignoring the American Constitution.

Each infringement pushes us toward a brand of political slavery that should not be palatable to anyone, regardless of how many carrots they dangle in front of our faces.  I am amazed at how small a price that some place on their freedom and liberty.  Someone said, “Everything is for sale.”  It seems that is true for too many today.

The First Amendment enumerates liberties deemed to be inalienable but vanishing today.  It includes the freedom of religion and its free exercise.  Today, the demand that we abandon our core religious convictions to accommodate the choices of another is an infringement that would horrify the founders.  It includes the freedom of speech and the press.   Regarding the press, it seems their freedom depends on which side of the political aisle they embrace.

Freedom of speech is rapidly becoming a dinosaur unless you are rabidly politically correct and embrace the culture of liberalism.  Then there is the freedom of assembly and peaceably petitioning the Government for a redress of grievances.  You can riot, loot, burn, and destroy if you are on the Left, but an insurrectionist if you are on the Right.

The COVID pandemic provided the powerbrokers with the means to infringe upon our First Amendment Rights.  You could go to Walmart but not to Church.  I guess the virus knew which lines it could and could not cross.  The paranoia that has ensued, as well as the mandates and controls implemented, have trampled on our freedom of speech.  It is not a hate crime to speak your mind if you are not a follower of the many facets of the Progressive agenda.

Our first president and the father of our country, George Washington, prophetically warned, “If freedom of speech is taken away, then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter.”  Is that not where we are or where we are headed today?  When all sides of an issue are prevented from having a voice, that is censorship, which ultimately leads to totalitarianism.

The use of ‘scare tactics’, regardless of which side uses it, is diabolical and destructive.  Presenting facts is one thing; fanning the flames of fear using propaganda, misinformation, or disinformation is destructive.  Harry S. Truman said, “Once a government is committed to the principle of silencing the voice of opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is down the path of increasingly repressive measures until it becomes a source of terror to all its citizens and creates a country where everyone lives in fear.”  If we are not there, we are dangerously close.

I am deeply disturbed as I listen to the narrative of the current pneumococcus being abrogated daily and the massive push to shut down all dissent.  The discovery that Dr. Mercola removed 25 years’ worth of content because of his stance on the body’s ability to heal itself if treated properly, even against a SARS variant.  That should disturb everyone, not just the detractors of the government’s prescription.

I believe that a healthy society allows the free flow of ideas.  Our Republic was birthed, and our Constitution was derived after a lengthy series of open debates and exchanges of ideas by the founders.  I believe that only a society that allows the free exchange of ideas and allows for open discussion and dissent can perpetuate the freedom we have enjoyed for our 240-plus years.  In that environment, the Truth will prevail, and the False will be exposed and tossed aside by those desirous of the Truth and Right.

When I heard Senator Rand Paul encourage defiance of the totalitarian edicts, I was both encouraged and thought, “Are you sure?”  Are you sure what?  He said, “They can’t arrest us all.”  I thought, are you sure?  As I observe in the annals of history, the record of tyrants through the ages, I am not sure that the good Senator’s postulation is accurate.  They just might try.  Of course, that would precipitate a full-blown revolution and revolt, which might not turn out well for the dissenters.

At the end of the day, I believe that we are going to have to rekindle the Spirit of 1776 and be willing to make the same level of commitment to freedom as they made.  Those 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence were willing to make the commitment no matter the cost.  If we develop that same level of commitment, we can reclaim our republic.

The apostle Paul encouraged in Galatians 6:9, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for at the proper time, we will reap if we do not give up.”  I believe that a return to God and a total surrender of our lives into His care and keeping is what is required to save America.  I trust Him and am calling for all who will join me to follow the prescription of 2 Chronicles 7:14.

God bless you, and God bless America.  This is my prayer and desire!

Truth vs. Falsehood: Which Will Survive?

The longer I live, the more I study history, the Bible, and humanity, and the more concerned I become for our present world.   I will restrain myself and not plunge into a doomsday sermon.   I hope to call attention to some questions I believe we should be asking.  We should ask these questions ourselves and those charged with managing the government.  We should ask these questions for the sake of our Freedom, the Truth, America as a Free Constitutional Republic, and our children.

Today, we live in a world where there is a determined effort to silence anyone and anything that counters or questions certain positions or ideologies.  My concerns could be posed as a question.  When you silence the other side of any question or issue, do you not make your position appear weak?   Do you not make your postulation seem suspect and, in a measure, weaken the credibility of your argument?  Even if your position or contention is true and right, if you reject all debate and censor those who disagree, you appear to be hiding something.  The Truth can and will stand up under examination.  A lie needs to suppress all opposing views because it is not factually based.

There are many directions I could go with that contention and many things I could address.  We have evolved or morphed (badly) in American politics to the point that, rather than factually, intellectually, scientifically, and with a reasoned presentation, defend our position, silencing the opposition is the desired tactic.  In any situation where there is a concerted effort to silence all dissenting views, red flags go up in my head and heart.  There is something inside me that asks, “Why?”  If the position is valid, backed up by data, and sound, why be concerned about the opposition?  Facts do not lie, but theories lacking facts do.

Trusting the Government has become a virtual impossibility.  Let me refer to ancient history and risk incurring the ire of many by asking, “What if all the silenced and censored scientists and doctors who issued warnings against the COVID-19 vaccine were not wrong?”  I know you researched it on Google, and the information there overwhelmingly favors the vaccines that you deem 100% safe.  I hope that is correct, but if it is, and there is empirical data to back up those assertions, then why fear opposing views?

Why would I bring up that old issue?   I do so because today’s society is easily influenced and swayed based on the volume of information.   I understand that today’s society has been inundated with fear, and the door to paranoia has been opened.  I know there are kooky conspiracists who find a demon under every rock and issue warnings about everything.  I know some will be swayed by the person giving the most impassioned argument.  I understand that the level of distrust for the government affords some conspiracists a ready-made platform to offer their self-serving tidbits of paranoia.  Yet, if the government is telling the Truth and the vaccines are as safe and effective as they claimed, why are there efforts to silence opposing voices?

We have learned, belatedly, that some of the therapeutics, such as Ivermectin and HCQ, had, at least, some success in dealing with COVID-19 in the early stages.  Why did those like Dr. Fauci and others utilize every means to prevent the public from having that information?  Any mention of prophylactic treatments was lampooned and quashed by the mainstream media.  Google, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook banned dissenting voices and proponents of those drugs.  Those calling for their use were vilified, and much energy was invested in discrediting them.  Why?  Why not have an open debate using scientific data and actual test cases?  Why?  I can only speculate.

This is just one issue; there are many.   Sadly, we cannot trust the government, and unfortunately, many have adopted the mindset that we cannot stop them, so why be involved?   Why?  Because, unless we stand for the Truth and Freedom, we will never have the Truth and lose our Freedom!

Anytime the government advances an agenda, it is wise to question the motivation and, if possible, follow the money.   We know that men are not angels, and the nefarious seekers of power want total control.  We must not passively comply with that agenda.   We have a Constitutional, moral, and God-given right to be told the truth!

Why are we willing to allow social media powerbrokers like Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Dorsey, and their cohorts, many of whom are compromised and none of them scientists or doctors, to determine what we can or cannot hear, see, or read?   That is not just regarding the previous pandemic, but virtually everything!

The Truth will bear up under examination, but the False must silence all opposition.    Jesus said, “You shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free.”  If we do not hear the truth and only hear one side, can we be sure we have heard the truth?   I am growing weary of conspiracies about everything.

Yes, the devil is evil, and evil people do evil things.  No, the government is not always working for our best good and in our best interests.  Yet, everything that happens may not be part of some larger scheme to enslave us.  Some things are just dumb, and the power brokers in government are striving for their own interests.  We have the choice to believe whatever we are told or to diligently seek to discover the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.

At the end of the day, do I trust God or not?  Regardless of what the government or evil people do, God is still God and capable and willing to keep us!  That brings me back to my declaration and question about trusting God.  My eternal soul is the most important thing!

Freedom is a prize worth fighting for, so let’s ask the government to cease censoring and silencing everything that questions their actions and allow the Truth to come to the fore!

God bless you, and God bless America!

Governing, What Does That Mean in Washington?

We often hear politicians and average citizens speak of governing.  They are referring to our politics, politicians, and system of government.   I am sure I do not know what they mean when saying “Governing or Govern.”    I understand what governing is, but I wonder what they mean when they say it.

This is an issue that deeply concerns me.   I have a reasonable understanding of our Republican System of Government and the intent of the Framers of our Constitution.   It should concern anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of our American System.

I do not believe that the modern Democrats, the Swamp Denizens, or Deep State adherents have any interest in governing with our best interests at heart.   I believe that governing is not on their radar, but dominance, totalitarian, and authoritarian control are.   You may disagree and believe me to be overreacting, and I hope you are correct.   However, it is time to pay attention if there is even a whiff of cause for concern.

The Left and too many on the Right have demonstrated that they are far more interested in pandering to special interest groups and foreign entities that can line their pockets and help them amass greater power.  The insanity of the cancel culture, the woke movement, the revisionist where everything is off-limits unless it is gender-neutral and non-white is growing.   The Leftists attack everything Trump, America, and Constitutional, but are crickets when it comes to Communist China’s racism, bigotry, and human rights failures.

Why?  I believe it is because China owns many of them, and the flow of money is far more important to those groups than morality, sanity, freedom, and liberty for the people.   The Left is committed to using any means possible to enact policies that will, in their minds, buy votes and guarantee power.   They desire to cement their hold on our government and the electoral process.   How is inconsequential, the end is their objective.   The Constitution be damned, and the American people be damned; they want and intend to have Totalitarian Power.

They actively engage in undoing and undermining everything good and pro-America that the Trump administration accomplished, and now preventing him from fulfilling his promises.   They desire to eradicate anything from history and voters’ minds that reflects the presence or person of Donald Trump.

It is almost funny that they focused on Mr. Potato Head, the Muppets, and Gender and demanded that if you are white, you are a supremacist and dangerous.    If you are a conservative, you are a domestic terrorist and must be censored.   If you are a veteran or a former police officer, you are a seditionist and must have your 2nd Amendment Rights revoked.    That is insane!

The Executive Orders issued by Joe Biden significantly advanced their hope of achieving those objectives.   I believe we have never had a president in American history more focused on the overall good of the American people than Donald J. Trump.

We have had some good presidents and some bad ones.   Some of the good was very good, and the bad was very bad, but the contrast between Joe Biden and Donald Trump transcends all previous administrations.  Trump fought for Americans, and Biden is fighting for the Globalist desire for Total Domination and the destruction of everything, not Woke or Green.  That is disastrous!

The sovereignty of America as a Free Constitutional Republic is not part of the agenda of the Democrats in 2021.  The overt attempts to eradicate our border and open the floodgates of sick, state-dependent, and anti-American immigrants are deadly.

Everything Biden and the Democrats did was and will be counterproductive for the American people.   Their commitment to the agenda of Climate Change, Gender nullification, abortion on demand, global citizenship, etc., is disturbing.    In contrast, Donald Trump acted in the best interests of America and the Constitution.  That will irk some, but that is how I see it, and the facts are the facts.

Donald Trump is a pragmatist, and it appears that he, with a certain amount of naivety, thought that even his political enemies loved America and would come around to support his pro-Americanism.   He was wrong!   I believe that, to a degree, he and his advisers misjudged the level of personal hatred toward him and his style.  I hope he takes a different path this time.

His defeat of Hillary Clinton and avowed desire to ‘drain the swamp’ draws the ire of Establishment Types on both sides of the political aisle.   He is a threat to their cronyism and power, and for them, that means he must be destroyed.

I believe there was fraud in the 2020 election, as documented in video, data, and sworn affidavits.  Sadly, the courts, including the Supreme Court, turned a blind eye.   Some of the ridiculous rulings and the incoming Attorney General’s view that taking over a courthouse after hours did not constitute insurrection or terrorism.  What?  If someone robs a bank after hours, does that mean it is not a crime?

The puppet masters pulling Biden’s strings must have been pulling their hair out at times when he could not even read their diatribe from a mega teleprompter.   He had difficulty putting two sentences together in a coherent manner.   Remember, Biden is the man the Democrats wanted to strip the Nuclear Football Codes from, and yet they deemed him capable of running our country?  God help us!

Biden rejoined the destructive Paris Climate Accord, and the World Health Organization declared war on the fossil fuel industry and our national sovereignty.   He reportedly declared that he would seek to use whatever means necessary to destroy our 2nd Amendment Rights without going through the amendatory process.  Thankfully, he was not successful.

His Climate Czar, John Kerry, a prolific violator of their own carbon emissions standards or desires, committed a cardinal sin for a politician: he told the truth.  I did not say he tells the truth, but he told the truth in the following quote.

He said, “…The fact is that even if every American citizen biked to work, carpooled to school, used only solar panels to power their homes, if we each planted a dozen trees, if we somehow eliminated all of our domestic greenhouse gas emissions, guess what — that still wouldn’t be enough to offset the carbon pollution coming from the rest of the world. If all the industrial nations went down to zero emissions — remember what I just said, all the industrial emissions went down to zero emissions — it wouldn’t be enough, not when more than 65% of the world’s carbon pollution comes from the developing world.”

When you are willing to destroy the economy, lock people in the prison of their own homes, and create paranoia and panic that results in the loss of hope, you are not interested in people but in power!  Gasoline and energy prices soared.  Jobs were lost at an alarming rate.  Illegal immigration soared beyond anything imaginable, and the push for immediate amnesty and citizenship for this new cache of Democratic voters would destroy our republic.

Nothing Biden and his cronies did was in the interest of the American people.  It was in the interest of control, dominance, and power.   Governing was not their objective unless, by that, you mean Totalitarian Governance.   If that is what you mean, then yes, they want to govern.   Governing constitutionally is not even an afterthought in their plan and agenda.   America, how did we let this happen, and what are we going to do about it?

What are we to do?  First, turn back to God and call on Him for deliverance.  Second, turn back to God and intercede.  Third, turn back to God, get involved at the grassroots level, and vote in every election.   Pay attention, but most of all, set your heart on seeking the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness first!

God bless you, and God bless America!

Can We Reclaim Our Freedom?

I believe that America is in dire straits, and we need to ‘reclaim’ our Freedom and our Land.    I see a biblical principle involved, and as we wade through this, I will attempt to identify several things.   I hope to identify our condition, how or why we got into this mess, and what, if anything, we can do to rectify it.

If you do not agree that we need ‘restoration,’ what I have to say will not resonate with you.   However, if you see what many of us see and realize that our liberties and freedoms are being systematically stripped from us and that our moral moorings as a nation have drifted, it may be motivational and inspirational.   If you want to see America restored to our foundational base and be the Republic our Founders envisioned, I invite you to take this journey with me.

I do not believe we can achieve or receive the ‘fullness’ our Founders envisioned, and God desires individually or nationally, UNTIL…   Until?  Yes, until we have followed His directives and placed ourselves in ‘right standing’ with Him, His Word, each other, and the Constitution.  I believe strongly in the biblical principle that ‘preparation always precedes blessing.’

In 2 Kings 3:16, we see the prophet Elisha’s instruction for King Jehoshaphat as they prepared for battle with Moab. He said, “Make this valley full of ditches.”   Israel complied, and the next morning, they realized that water had filled the ditches.

Moab awoke, and the glistening of the morning sun made the water appear as blood. They assumed that Israel had turned on each other and ran to the battlefield to collect the spoils of victory. The result was a complete slaughter of Moab and a victory for Israel. I use this example to demonstrate that He provides when we do what God says.

Another example is in 2 Kings 4, where the prophet instructed the poor widow to borrow vessels.   She filled the house with borrowed utensils, and the prophet poured them full UNTIL there were no more vessels.   The only limitation to her miracle was the number of vessels she had borrowed.   Her obedience or preparation enabled the man of God and God to do a miracle.  God will never go beyond our capacity or our obedience.

In Matthew 12, Jesus identified some of the evidence of God’s Kingdom and Restoration, which can be applied to America and the restoration of our Freedoms and Liberties. He called them ‘works.’  He included the casting out demons (trespassers on the promise) and healing the sick. He provided the reality that IF we follow God’s directives and seek to be realigned with His principles, purposes, and person, He will fulfill His promises.

Our founding fathers believed that America came into existence because of the providence of God.  Many Americans today believe we became what we became through our own strength and ability.   Some believe we achieved greatness as a nation on the backs of the less fortunate.  They believe our beginning was corrupt, must be atoned for, and transformed.  Even with our errors and sins in our beginning, we originated for God’s purposes to be a catalyst to advance the Kingdom of God on this earth.

In Matthew 12:25, our LORD declares something incredibly important spiritually, personally, and nationally.  He said, “Any kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.”  We are divided in America beyond anything I ever envisioned could become a reality.  The hate and vitriol that is hurled about vehemently is eroding the foundation of our Republic and will be our destruction if not quelled.

We have generational hate being perpetuated.  We have the systematic engendering of a brand of hate that hides under the cloak of ‘principle’ and justifies itself by attacking everyone and everything that disagrees.

Some believe they are constitutionalists and even conservative political idealists who have allowed personal animus toward particular candidates to cause them to join forces with those who would otherwise be deemed enemies.  I guess the philosophy “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” is applicable.  The result is division, estrangement, and the erosion of many freedoms and liberties.  The result will be the destruction of the Republic.

In Matthew 12:29, the Lord Jesus brings to light a reality that could easily be applied to our American predicament.  Jesus identified the strongman, and in Luke 11, He expands that and identifies that this ‘strongman’ is fully armed.  The defeat of that strongman requires one who is stronger to come in, disarm him, and reclaim what has been taken.

In America, the nefarious seekers of ‘fundamental transformation’ have divided us and weakened the fabric of our republic.  They have pitted us against each other when the objective of many on both sides of the equation is the best good for America.

The problem lies in not understanding the result.  The problem lies in forgetting how we came into being and distorting the intent of our Founders, as declared in the Declaration of Independence.  We have lost sight of our Creator, His Holiness, and His Provisions for us and have become selfish and self-centered.  In many cases, we have lost sight of America and only viewed politics through the prism of our bias and personal ambitions.

Our Founding Fathers declared they believed in self-evident truths.  Today’s academia and some political ideologues do not believe in ‘self-evident truth.’  They do not believe in a Creator.  When we eliminate the Creator, we also render the idea of inalienable rights ineffective, if not null and void.

I had a person who does not believe in God insist that they believe in inalienable rights.  I asked, “Where did those rights originate?”  He could not answer other than admitting that they were either the product of man’s desire or the gift of the government.  Yet, he claimed to believe in limited government, the Constitution, and conservatism.  I am unable to connect those dots because, as our Founders declared, ‘the Creator endows these rights upon man.’

I believe that God enabled America to become a Free Republic for a purpose that extends far beyond our personal or national prosperity. If that were the purpose of our existence, then we would be prime candidates for greed, envy, covetousness, jealousy, ambition, and hate to prevail and destroy us.

Without a moral framework and mooring to which we attach our reason for existence, we will not seek the best good of everyone but our own interests.  I have heard all my life, “You have to look out for number one because no one else will.”  That is antithetical to the teachings of Jesus and contrary to the declarations of our Constitution, our Declaration of Independence, and the writings of our Founding Fathers.

They believed that among those endowed rights was the Right to Life.  What is Life?  That would take a book to detail, but it is more than just breathing.  It is more than possessions.  It is the ability to pursue your purpose without undue restrictions and regulation by a centralized power structure that seeks to dominate.

There was also the right to Liberty.  What is Liberty?  It is more than not being in jail, prison, or chains.  The word carries the idea of Freedom, which must begin on the inside.  If I am Free on the Inside, then even if I were in chains, I remain Free.  Government cannot give me that; it comes as an endowment of our Creator.

Then, the right to Pursue Happiness.  What is Happiness?  I contend you cannot have that quality of life unless you are allowed to live free. I have discussed the Founders’ vision and even identified some of our conditions in the loss of liberty and freedom. However, I have not begun to address the How, the Why, and the Remedy.

I believe those things can be encapsulated because we have been deceived into believing that a benevolent elitist governmental hierarchy can provide those things for us or is charged with doing so. Ignorance is the first step toward enslavement politically, and we have become ignorant of the devil’s devices politically.

We have allowed politicians to oversee the government without giving the constitutionally mandated oversight. Our ignorance of what they have and are doing, coupled with our ignorance of our authority and power, has enabled the devious to become a ‘strongman’ taking over our house (America).

We can see Restoration, but only if we return to the moral moorings of our beginning.  We can see Restoration, but only if we invest ourselves in the oversight of government and cease to allow the politicians to manage the politics of the nation.

We can see Restoration if we stop allowing the division promoted by the devious to thrive. If we desire a restored America, then we need to take note of all politicians and parties that seek to weaken our Constitution, infringe upon our inalienable rights, and force us to comply with edicts that violate our conscience, conviction, and faith.

I believe all who believe in God must become intercessors and, as intercessors, do the following:  Repent for our own sins and failures.  Repent for the sins of the nation.  Recognize what Jesus did for us at Calvary.  Recognize that the devil wants America destroyed.  Recognize that the devil has no power over us or America UNLESS he finds some legal ground within which he can operate.  Therefore, Repentance is Required, even if we are not personally guilty of those sins that give the enemy of Freedom opportunity.

I see a deeply divided and troubled America, and that causes me great sadness and concern.  I know in my heart of hearts that if we continue this hate-filled decline into degeneracy and division, we will witness the end of the Republic.  I believe that to support an ideology, candidate, or political agenda that weakens our moral moorings, infringes upon our liberties and rights, and denies the right to Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness is to abet and enable our own destruction.

Therefore, I ask that you consider becoming an intercessor and pray for America.  I ask that you become involved in the process.  I ask that you carefully consider every candidate and governmental proposal, considering how it affects our Freedom, Liberty, and the ability to pursue Happiness.  Then, VOTE!

God bless you, and God bless America!
