The former FBI Director said on several occasions that INTENT to do harm or break the law was absent therefore no crime transpired in the Clinton investigation.  Not only did he insist that Hillary did not intend to do harm and now he says, with regard to Huma Abedin and Anthony Weiner did not appear to intend to break the law.  When did that become justification for not being prosecuted for a crime, especially a crime that involves national security?  If this is the new standard our prisons will soon be emptied and no further need for incarceration of virtually thousands because they will argue they did not intend to do harm or break the law.  I guess we have arrived at a new juncture where “Ignorance is an excuse for breaking the law.”  That will effectively destroy our Justice System.

Please understand I am not opposed to considering intent in the punishment for a crime but I also would argue that intent cannot excuse or justify breaking the law.  If there is going to be one standard for powerful political figures and another for the average citizen we will continue to erode our Justice System and fan the flames of distrust and disrespect for our Criminal Justice System.  There will be the further fanning the flames of hate and expand the chasm that now divides entire segments of our society.

The former FBI Director, James Comey acknowledged that Huma Abedin emailed classified documents to her husband Anthony Weiner for him to print so she could give hard copies to Hillary Clinton.  That action is ILLEGAL, no if’s, and’s, or but’s.  He argued that they could not prove that Abedin and Weiner intended to break the law.  He even suggested that Weiner probably did not read the classified documents.  SERIOUSLY?  He received them on his computer, printed them out, knew they were classified, and is a politically driven individual who has been disgraced and he would not read those documents?  Are you seriously wanting us to believe that he would not look for anything that might be useful in the future to achieve his desires?  When you consider his history and hers how would you insult the intelligence of all Americans with such an assertion?  It does not matter if he read them or not, he had them in his possession on an unsecured email server and thus the Law was broken.  Huma broke the Law in sending them to him and he broke it by having them without reporting them immediately to authorities.  Hillary broke the law by having a private unsecured email server and allowing this type of activity to transpire. It does not matter what their intent, the national security of the United States of America was placed at risk as were operatives throughout the world.  This is not a minor issue and should not be treated as such.

We have a Constitution. We have Laws regarding our National Security.  We have standards that are to be applied to all citizens equally.  We have sent people to prison for lesser offenses than those committed by Hillary Clinton, Huma Abedin, Anthony Weiner, Jon Podesta, the DNC, Susan Rice, and even Barack Obama.  The actions or inactions being taken by the FBI and other governmental agencies are detrimental to our Criminal Justice System, our Constitution, and our Republic.  I am not bloodthirsty and wanting revenge, but I do want the Law to be the law equally applied to all citizens regardless of their position in the political hierarchy, national prominence, and popularity.  If it is good for the goose it must be good for the gander. If it applies to the average man or woman on the street it must apply at the highest levels of government.  Everyone must be held to the same standard and I suggest that those in high political office including Congress, the Judicial System, and the White House should be held to a higher standard due to their access to sensitive material that impacts our nation directly in the area of security.  Mr. President, Congress, DOJ, FBI, CIA, NSA, Homeland, and Justices return to following the Constitution and return us to be One Nation, Under God, with Liberty and Justice FOR ALL.
