IS THERE HOPE THAT JUSTICE WILL FINALLY BE SERVED???


I would hope that every American patriot would say, Amen, (so be it).   One of the things that give me cause for hope is the Trump nominee for Attorney General and the federal judge that has stated there needs to be a reopening the Hillary Clinton email investigation.  The latter has to come as a severe blow to the Clinton camp and the Democrats.  Of course, we will hear that this is nothing more than a partisan activist judge making this ruling.  That is in contrast with the silence of the left when Obama judges rule against President Trump. In those cases, the Democrats and MSM insist the judge is just following the rule of law and the constitution.  Interesting how that works, isn’t it?

U.S. District Judge, Royce Lambert said that the spirit of the Freedom of Information Act required such action.  He said that despite the government’s claimed presumption of transparency, “faced with one of the gravest modern offenses to government openness, [the Obama administration’s] State and Justice Departments fell far short” of the law’s requirements in a lawsuit for documents.  But, couldn’t they do whatever they wanted, and should we question their insistence that no wrongdoing had transpired?  After all, to question Mr. Obama is to be racist and to question Hillary is to be sexist, right?  That’s how they view it.  Thankfully, we have finally found a judge that doesn’t see it that way.

I like his words, “fell far short” because it is, in my view, and the view of many others, a mountainous understatement.  Obama claimed that his administration was the most transparent in history or would be.  We discovered over his eight years in the White House that ‘transparency’ meant telling us what he wanted us to know and nothing else.  Transparency to him and his administration seems to mean about the same as Bill Clinton’s definition of “is”.  It is virtually like a preacher saying, “I’m closing now” and then continues to speak for another ten or more minutes.

Judicial Watch filed its Freedom of Information Act lawsuit in July 2014 seeking to force the State Department documentation and talking points on the September 2012 attacks on the U.S. facilities in Benghazi, Libya, that left the U.S. ambassador and others dead be released.  The suit began before the revelation that Hillary had used a private email account and server while serving as Secretary of State.  The State Department attempted to ignore, side-step, and do an end-run around the request.  They claimed that additional searches would be required and failed to disclose that they had received 30,000 emails returned by Clinton.  They lied and ignored the legal request for information.

The Judge declared that the government’s actions reflected “negligence born of incompetence.”  He stated also that “At worst, career employees in the State and Justice departments collude to scuttle public scrutiny of Clinton, skirted FOIA, and hoodwinked the court.”  That is a powerful statement from this judge.  We know that Hillary used a private email server and email account was to keep the prying eyes of Congress out of her business as Secretary of State.  She and Obama believed that they could do whatever they pleased and were entitled to do so. 

The State Department could not be expected to give to Congress what it did not possess.  She had them and they had not gone through official channels.  Her supposed out was that she was not conducting official business, but we know she was.  She contended that she sent nothing of a classified nature via private emails, but we know she did.  She contended that there was no exposure or danger regarding our national security, but there was.  It was illegal and deserved further investigation, but it was swept under the rug.  Former FBI Director, James Comey initially called it ‘gross negligence’ but that was changed to be ‘extreme carelessness’ to protect Hillary.  He even admitted that she and some of her associates lied to the FBI.  We know that they attempted to destroy the server and other devices.  All clear evidence of an attempt to cover-up the wrongdoing. 

The fight over William Barr, the George H.W. Bush-era leader of the Justice Department being nominated as the next Attorney General by President Trump.  What are his crimes?  He has spoken favorably of President Trump.  That is a mortal sin to the Democrats and the Media.  Nancy Pelosi has chimed into this imbroglio saying his nomination is “deeply concerning.”  She added, “Barr has spent the past two years auditioning for the job by stoking partisan attacks on our nation’s law enforcement community and encouraging the President to use the Justice Department as a political weapon to pursue his rivals and undermine investigations into Trump and his family’s scandals.”  Sounds like what Obama did, but that was okay, right?  Senator Diane Feinstein could not resist offering her criticism saying that Barr holds, “expansive views of executive power and his partisan statements about pardons, the Mueller investigation, and Hillary Clinton.”  Touch their golden goose and you are unqualified.

Chuck Schumer promised a lengthy and difficult fight in the confirmation hearings.  What else would we expect to happen?  After the Brett Kavanaugh hearings, we should have been alerted to the intent and plan of the Democrats in every confirmation hearing from that point forward.  They do not like Whitaker, the acting AG and no one other than a liberal activist would please them.  I say, “Atta Boy, Mr. President.”  If this man is confirmed, I am encouraged that the DOJ may finally take a stand in favor of the Constitution and insist on the Rule of Law.  He may not be what he appears but if he is, I am encouraged.

I take these small happenings as encouragements and pray that the Republicans in Congress, especially the Senate will get with the program and back this President.  If they do, we could reclaim the House, keep the Senate, and the White House in 2020.  Much water will flow under the bridge between now and then, so it is imperative that each of us invest ourselves in the Fight for Faith, Family, and Freedom.

WHAT IS OUR VISION FOR THE NEW YEAR?


Today is January 1, 2019.  It is difficult for me to fathom that we have reached 2019.  When I was a senior in high school and looking forward in time, I could not fathom the year 2000 much less 19 years beyond that date.  I was struggling with the reality of the Vietnam War and the probability that I would find myself there.  The draft was in full bloom and I had watched numerous of those graduating ahead of me receive their draft notices and many of them were hustled to that far land.  It seemed more than a probability but a likelihood that I too would see a land that I knew nothing about and fight a war that I hardly knew why it was being fought.

As fate or life would have it, I did go to Vietnam and spent a year in that country.  I served my tour of duty and returned to San Francisco, California and heard and felt the hate of students from the University of Berkley.  I was incensed at their insensitivity to those men who were being transported in wheelchairs and on stretchers.  We were not, as they called us, baby killers. We were not, as they labeled us, warmongers.  We were young men serving our country in the best way we knew.  We were ordered to that war and went out of a sense of duty and love for our country. 

What will we see in the upcoming year?  With the Democrats now having control of the House of Representatives and their avowed determination to investigate, investigate, investigate rather than legislate it will likely be ugly.  We have a growing economy and if both sides would get together setting aside partisan ideological differences we could see even more national prosperity.  In today’s American politics it seems that Democrats and Republicans fit the saying, “East is East, and West is West and never the twain shall meet.” 

We could look forward to progress toward becoming One Nation Under God, that pursues liberty and justice for all.  We could see healing begin in the many areas we are divided.  I wish I could tell you with absolute certainty that this year will see a return to foundational constitutional principles being observed in Washington, but I do not believe that will be the case.  I believe that this president is purposed in keeping his promises to the voters and Congress is equally purposed in hindering his ability to do so.  We endured eight years of the push to ‘fundamentally transform’ our nation.  We have a president that has shown the willingness to stand firm in pursuing his promises, unlike previous Republican Presidents. 

Those of us who desire limited government, the guarantee of those unalienable rights granted to us by God and the preserved in the Constitution and a Constitutional Republic are viewed by those on the Left as members of the ‘Flat Earth Society.’  Will we see a de-escalation of the chaos, protests, and resistance by those on the Left or will we see an escalation?  Will we see the wedge that has been driven between classes and races begin healing or will we see further divide?  Will we see corruption exposed and justice return to being blind treating both Republicans and Democrats alike?  Will we see the Intelligence Community continue to strive to undermine this President or will we see a restoration of integrity to those agencies?  Will we see our border secured or will the Democrats succeed in eliminating it?  Will we see continued victory against Terrorism especially Islamic Terrorism or will those on the Left succeed in impeding our military’s ability to do their jobs? 

I am not as optimistic about 2019 as I would like to be.  My optimism waned a bit in the loss of the House during the mid-term elections.  Too many of the Republicans in the House and even the Senate seem to either be afraid of the Democrats are they agree with them.  The latter is as likely as the former because the politicians on both sides of the aisle desire Big Government and fight ferociously to keep their position and place of power.  I sometimes wonder if we truly have two different parties or if they are largely the same with a few differences, but nothing substantial.  How can we fix that?  I’m not sure that is possible until 2020 and even then, it is questionable for some districts and states seem intent on sending Anti-Constitutionalist back to Washington term after term.  We can, as individuals and grass-roots organizations take steps to influence the precinct conventions and thereby the State and National platforms, but it will take incredible effort and resilience. Are we up to the task?  That remains to be seen.

Now that I’ve thrown down the gauntlet, what am I going to do personally?  Am I going to speak and write about what we should do while sitting on the sideline or am I going to get my feet wet, hands dirty and dive into the dirty water of the political arena locally?  If I do not dive in I guess I should stop speaking and writing for that would appear to be hypocritical and reactionary rather than proactive.  I see inactivity as perpetuating the problem rather than pursuing the solution. Therefore, I am researching how to become involved locally at the precinct level.  I do not feel that my purpose is to be a candidate for political office but to have a voice in platform and choice of candidates. 

Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “I have a dream…”  Well, I have a dream of a restored revitalized constitutional republic in America.  Is it possible?  I cannot say definitively that it is, but I refuse to be deterred from my belief that it is and my willingness to invest all to ensure it.  That is my commitment for 2019 and 2020.  If we fail in 2020 I will have to reevaluate what I am doing and consider the steps needed for survival and the fight.  I am not saying I will throw in the towel if we fail in 2020 rather that we may be forced into survival modes for those desiring our destruction will become fully emboldened and will cast aside all restraint.  I realize that we may never reach the 2020 elections before full-scale chaos become a reality, but I am preparing as though we will.

WHAT WILL 2019 BRING US?


Obviously, I cannot answer that question with absolute certainty on most things, but there are a few possibilities that I believe are virtual certainties.  Before I get into them I feel the need to express my love for this nation.  I served in Vietnam in 1967 and watched the hatred, abuse, and disrespect a very large segment of this country heaped on my fellow veterans.  Even in the face of the ridicule and name calling, we looked past the haters to the Republic and proudly declared and declare that we served under the American Flag for the cause of Freedom.  No, I am not trying to defend or criticize the war but those of us who served did not deserve the abuse hurled at us.  Nor, is the current president of the United States deserving of the vitriolic hate being spawned by the media, the Left, Hollywood, and the activist.  The office of President should never be treated with such utter contempt. 

I was not and am not a fan of the former president Barack Obama.  His policies were, in my view, detrimental to the advancement and progress of our nation.  His personality was grating, at times, because of his arrogance and refusal to admit wrong, culpability, or responsibility for the failures we endured.  His smugness and open defense of what has been called Islam and even what he called radical Islam while talking down Christianity troubled me. 

His world apology tour decrying American Exceptionalism was like waving a red flag in front of a bull.  When he attempted to bypass the Congress, the Courts, and the Constitution using Executive Fiats it caused me to fear for my nation.  However, he was the duly elected president and I respected that office.  Yes, I criticized his actions and wanted Congress to throw up roadblocks to his policies that were dangerous to our System of Government.  But if we allow our concerns or even dislikes for the individual tarnish our respect for the office, we do great damage to our Republic.

Now that I’ve had my rant, let’s look into the future and see what 2019 might bring us.  In the realm of politics, I can guarantee that the Democrats will pursue and dogged path of Investigate, Investigate, Investigate rather than Legislate, Legislate, Legislate.  However, they will attempt to pass bills and coerce the Republicans to comply that will further the ‘fundamental transformation’ of the Obama administration.  Their base is demanding impeachment.  Their base is demanding destruction.  Their base is demanding indictments.  They will leave no stone unturned in their pursuit and we will see two long years of legislative chaos and probably abuse from some governmental agencies under their control. 

Will that be good for the country?  Will, it set a precedent that will endanger all future presidencies?  Quite possibly because when one side of an issue becomes vicious and determined to inflict as much harm to the other as possible it creates an environment of revenge and retaliation.  Politically, if one political party engages in what I expect from the Democrats in Congress, the Republicans may seek their pound of flesh if or when they regain power.  That is not good for America that is not good for Freedom.  My concern is that this is the new norm in Washington and the madness advanced by the Media will make politics a battlefield and strip Congress of its ability to govern.

I am also certain that we will see an escalation of problems along our southern border.  We will see a renewed push for amnesty and the awarding of citizenship to illegals. There will be court case after court case challenging every action that this president takes.  There will be a virtual witch hunt into Justice Brett Kavanaugh trying to impeach him.  There will be attempts to block funding for President Trump’s agenda and measures.   There will be political gamesmanship in the Senate attempting to block every judicial appointment.  There will be muckraking and attempts to damage this president in the public view hoping to sway the Independents and Undecided Voters to come over to the Liberal Leftists Socialist side of the aisle and defeat him in 2020 should he run again.

What we need is for both political parties to sit down and discuss issues based on substance, not emotion or partisanship.  We need for both political parties to put America and Americans ahead of their political ambitions or their party’s ascension to power.  Will that happen?  It hasn’t in a very long time and I do not anticipate it in 2019 or 2020.  However, we serve a big God who can move on the hearts of men and women and allow or engineer situations that can cause them to have an epiphany and wake up.  That is my prayer.  It is too late to elect people who will follow the Constitution, the elections are over.  However, it is not too late to apply pressure to every elected official and keep the pressure on.  If we do not become involved, we will lose our Republic and our Freedom.

As the New Year unfolds, it is my hope and prayer that each of you who read this, and all Americans find peace in their hearts and enjoy prosperity.  We have an immeasurable treasure in what our Founding Fathers and the Framers of our American Constitution gave us.  We have a Constitutional Republic and a system of government unlike any in the world.  It has served us well for over 240 years and can serve us into perpetuity, but it must be diligently guarded and defended.  Ronald Reagan had it right when he said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream.  It must be fought for, protected, and handed on to them to do the same.”  Benjamin Franklin’s response to the question about what kind of government they had produced is apropos today.  He said, “A Republic if you can keep it.”

THE GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN FARCE…


I can’t believe that I once again find myself feeling the need to tackle this red herring and deal with the hysteria of a government shutdown as something catastrophic.  First, the government cannot shut down completely because at least 75% of it is already funded.  So, please stop drinking the Kool-Aid and breathing the toxic air of the Media and those following extreme liberalism.  If we would all take a deep breath and do even a cursory amount of research we’d know this is simply a political tool used by both sides to hype the public.  It is being used today by those on the Left to cause needless alarm.

Unless the government was to remain shut down beyond the fiscal year 2019 it will not shut down.  Yes, parts of it will have a break in function and some federal employees will have their paychecks delayed but not necessarily deleted.  If you check you will find that on September 21, 2018, the President signed a “minibus” appropriations law that funded the Department of Energy; Military Construction and Veterans Affairs; and the Legislative Branch for the entire 2019 fiscal year.  That will not expire until September 30, 2019.  One week later he signed another “minibus” law funding the Departments of Defense, Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education through the same fiscal year.  That is most of the government. 

In fact, House Appropriations Chairman Rodney Frelinghuysen (R-NJ) said regarding those signings that “Congress will have enacted the majority of all discretionary spending for the year, 75%, prior to the end of the fiscal year, an accomplishment that hasn’t occurred in over two decades.”  The federal discretionary budget for the fiscal year 2019 is a whopping $1.26 Trillion and with those two signings, $931 Billion of it has been appropriated.  That only leaves $314 Billion.  Yet, the Democrats and Media are acting as if, Trump’s threat would destroy the entire nation and the government would screech to a halt on all levels.  That was and is a blatant lie and they know it.  Well, maybe they don’t but they should know it.

Only non-essential government personnel won’t be able to come to work.  Border Patrol Agents are considered essential personnel will still work even though the Department of Homeland Security will not be funded. The only reason DHS is not funded is because of the impasse in Congress because of the Democrats refusal to fund the Border Wall.  They were willing to hold up and jeopardize DHS for $5 Billion requested for the Border Wall.  How’s that for endangering Americans?  Some of the other departments not funded are Transportation, Housing and Urban Development; Interior and Environment; Commerce, Justice, and Science; State; Financial Services and Agriculture.

Nobody likes to be told that they are non-essential or important enough to be kept at their post during a shutdown.  That is a possibly a personal ego thing, but it also affects their bottom line in the sense that they don’t get their pay when expected but will get it once the shutdown is over.  There are 12 appropriations bills that determine the funding for each of the government subcommittees.  A partial government shutdown occurs if Congress does not pass appropriations bills for the fiscal year or the president refuses to sign them once passed.  One of the agencies that would be affected is the Internal Revenue Service.  Do we really mind?  Yes, because the part of the IRS that verifies social security numbers would not function and that could affect people on many levels. 

It affects us, but it is not catastrophic as the Democrats and some Republicans would have us believe.  One factor in all this threatened ‘shutdown’ that the media and the Left refuse to discuss is the fact that Border Security which includes a Border Wall and beefed up Border Security is part of the Presidents package.  The Democrats are willing to see the non-essential elements of a government shutdown in their resistance to a Border Wall.  Why?  I can’t answer that question except by saying some of them, if not most of them do not seem to mind having a porous border.  Some, including Bernie Sanders, do not seem to think that Illegal Immigration is Illegal.  Most of the Democratic Establishment views the Illegals as Future or even Current Democrat votes.  With the voter fraud by illegals in 2018 and 2016 that assertion is not difficult to defend as being a valid charge.

The government is far too bloated now and this would be a wonderful opportunity to revisit how we budget.  We use a baseline budgetary process where every department gets an automatic increase each year of approximately 10%.  The Democrats and Republicans have from time to time agreed to make the increase only 5% and claimed they cut the budget.  The reality is the budget grew by whatever percentage they increased from the previous year.

We, in my view, need to move to a zero-based budgetary process where every department and foreign aid entity begins at $0.00 (ZERO) and has to offer a valid reason for whatever they receive.  If we did that, we could reduce the size of government, the deficit, and thereby the national debt.  Will politicians on either side of the aisle agree to that?  Not in this lifetime and not so long as they can use our money to solidify their position and power and/or the bottom lines.  I am less concerned about a so-called government shutdown than I am about the deficit and debt.

ROY, YOU NEVER CRITICIZE PRESIDENT TRUMP OR THE REPUBLICANS – – The Charge Made Against Me Recently…


That was a charge leveled at me by a very devoted Progressive Liberal Leftists Democrat recently.  He said, “Roy, you wouldn’t criticize Trump if he took a dump on Pennsylvania Avenue in the middle of rush hour.”  I laughed, and asked, “Is that the best you can do?”  He was trying to use hyperbole and sarcasm to prove his point and I laughed.  I have said from the beginning of this administration that I will applaud that which I believe to be good for America and Constitutional and criticize that which I believe is wrong on both counts.

Now, let me put on my ‘critic’s hat’ and talk about the Deficit and Debt.  However, to talk about that I must place my focus on what is causing the current deficit and point my finger at those truly the blame.  If some of that falls on the President, so be it.  What is driving the deficit?  The simplistic answer is spending.  If that were my only response I would rightly be labeled Mr. Obvious.  The Budget is the problem and the method by which we arrive at our budgetary numbers is as well.  What we are spending money on is a culprit and the unwillingness of those in Congress to address those issues is problematic.  We are where we are because of a lack of fiscal restraint, judicious budgeting, and unrestrained and ever-growing entitlements.  Those are some, not all, the causes. 

The Tea Party formed largely because many of us were alarmed at the National Debt reaching $13 Trillion and climbing at an alarming rate.  That concern and unification of conservative voices spanning a very wide spectrum of our society gave the Republicans the House of Representatives and then in 2014 they gained control of the Senate.  Most of us, who identified with or participated in the Tea Party Movement believed this was going to result in some needed measures to stem the fiscal hemorrhaging.  Sadly, those Republicans capitulated to the Democrats so frequently and feared standing up to President Obama we saw little of the desired result fiscally.

The National Debt has now climbed to $22 Trillion and growing at an alarming rate.  That is not what we hoped for or expected when President Trump was elected.  We knew it would take time to apply the proper tourniquet and hoped for the Republicans to keep the House and do their jobs.  They failed to do that on several fronts and now the bleeding is likely to not only continue but escalate during the next two years.  Who do we blame for this hemorrhaging of money we do not have?  My simple answer is everyone in Washington.  But, the answer is far more complicated than a simplistic statement.

With the Democrats in control of Congress for the next two years, the budgetary funding for Immigration is and should be a major concern.  Will they provide funds for border defense and security?  It is not likely.  Will they seek to provide more funds for entitlements which include the illegals sneaking into or walking into our country?  Without question, they will.  During the years the Republicans held the House of Representatives the national debt grew by $8 Trillion.  Yes, Obama was President, but the Republicans could and should have offered more resistance in giving him everything he wanted in the budgetary process. 

About 88% of that debt came from the public share.  President Trump’s Office of Management and Budget has introduced budget cuts but, as usual, Congress’ use of Baseline Budgeting has taken cuts and made them increases.  The smoke and mirrors of that type of budgeting are dangerous and should end.  We need a Zero-Based Budget, not a Baseline Budget. 

Spending has increased and according to some studies, without drastic measures, our debt will continue to increase into perpetuity even during robust economies.  It is estimated that the debt will be over 175% of our GDP in 30 years without some immediate and gut-wrenching reductions. Guess who that would make us?  You guessed it if you said Greece.  Destruction from self-inflicted fiscal wounds is becoming a real possibility for our Republic. 

Unfortunately, those in Congress on both sides of the aisle have been reluctant to talk about ‘spending cuts’.  I am in favor of tax cuts because they truly spur the economy but if you cut taxes and fail to cut spending even with the increased revenue you perpetuate the debt problem.  We are at a critical point fiscally and some estimates that I trust have reported that in the next fiscal year we will spend as much money on interest as we spend on Medicaid.  That should knock your socks off.  Medicaid is a black hole of fiscal costs that is unsustainable and if we have more interest on our debt than that expenditure, we are murdering ourselves.

Allowing the debt to continue to grow, as it is, will mean higher interest rates and that will prove to be bad for the economy.  It will also mean that there are less private investments and the revenue stream will begin to dry up.  The result will be increased taxes rather than reduced spending and the vicious cycle will continue until our economy completely collapses. 

We need for the President to use his veto pen to ensure that his desired budget proposals are enacted.  The Republicans in Congress needs to stop being participants in the debt increases that the Democrats are proponents of.  America, we are in trouble fiscally.  I am concerned and somewhat convinced that if President Trump stands his ground on spending and the Republicans back his play it will prove costly in 2020.  If he allows the debt and deficit to continue to expand at the current rate he will be blamed.  If he takes measures to stop this disaster, he will be blamed for hurting people.  He is in a no-win situation Unless those of us not in government can rally enough support and educate enough people of the real problem the days look dark.

If we continue the path of ever increasing entitlements for everyone and the unrestrained and unsustainable spending, we destroy ourselves.  Conservatives and Constitutionalist need to unify and send a message to Washington that we not only expect but demand fiscal restraint and genuine reduced spending.  With our federal revenue up, we could be reducing the deficit not expanding it.  But, Republicans and Democrats alike are afraid to take the politically dangerous stance of belt-tightening.  My Congresswoman and both Senators hear from me about the budget and will continue to hear my arguments for not only reduced spending but a shift from the Baseline approach to the Zero-Based method.  That goes for every expenditure of our government, both foreign and domestic.

IF YOU CLAIM TO BE UNBIASED AND NON-PARTISAN – Be Unbiased and Non-Partisan…


My immediate focus is the pathological or serial liar, James Comey, the former director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.  His mask has fallen off if it was ever on in recent weeks.  His endless assertions of “I don’t know” or “I don’t remember” coupled with his press conference where he called for All Democrats to bury the hatchet and nominate someone to defeat Donald Trump and save America from this evil person. (His view, not mine).  His contradictory and outright lies are so many it is virtually impossible to count, but I’m sure some have.

It was James Comey who decided to conduct the Trump collusion investigation from the FBI headquarters.  Therefore, how could he not remember, know, or be able to give explicit details on what happened, when it happened, and why it happened?  Was he that incompetent? Were his associates that deceptive and able to hide from him their activities? Were his associates so adept at CYA they provided cover for their boss at every turn?  I assert that Mr. Comey remembers every detail with crystal clarity and has lied repeatedly to Congress, the President, and the American people.  When will he be indicted?  Let me answer that, likely never.

He and Robert Mueller have repeatedly entrapped people into not being fully forthcoming with the FBI and indicted them.  However, the repeated lies of Hillary Clinton and her associates have been overlooked, justified, or excused.  Why?  If the FBI can selectively pick and choose which false statements they are going to pursue as criminal excusing the Democrats but not the Republicans, that is a dangerous game. 

I continue to find it inexcusable that Mr. Comey and other leading Democrats can say one thing one time and another the next time and not be held accountable.  Take General Flynn’s case.  Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA), on May 11, 2018, sent a letter to FBI Directory Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein stating that Mr. Comey testified that the FBI did not think that General Flynn lied.  That was from his testimony on before the House Intelligence Committee where he told those Congressmen that FBI agents had interviewed General Flynn and “saw nothing that indicated to them that the General knew he was lying to them.”   His unredacted testimony reveals that the FBI Agents did not detect any deception on the General’s part. 

General Flynn was doing his job during the transition period, but the FBI under James Comey opened an investigation on the General for doing his job.  Behind closed doors, Mr. Comey testified to Congress in his latest testimony that the General lied.  Mr. Comey, which testimony of yours is the truth?  Mr. Comey, can’t remember or doesn’t know so much but he knew enough to write a book then developed convenient and selective amnesia.  How convenient.

James Comey, the DOJ, and every other governmental agency involved knew that the FISA warrant was a fraud or based on unverifiable opposition research paid for by the Clinton camp.  He even confessed, previously, that the Steele dossier was unverifiable and unsubstantiated.  He knew that when they went to the FISA court but used a fake piece of intelligence, probably lying to the Judge to get the warrant to spy on the Trump team and even Trump himself.  He even told the President in his briefing that the dossier was “salacious and unverified.”  So much for non-partisan and unbiased, right?

How about the government contracts that Mr. Comey and Mr. Mueller leveraged for personal enrichment?  Mr. Comey left the Justice Department and was hired by Lockheed Martin for upwards of $6 Million for one year.  His security clearance could be a factor but couple that with his longtime friend Robert Mueller was running the FBI and then we saw $100 Million Dollar contracts being handed out to Lockheed Martin.  Coincidence?  You tell me.

When the Inspector General noted that the FBI had confirmed that there were lies told to the agents by Hillary Clinton and several of her associates, I thought, here come the indictments.  But alas, I was wrong, and I knew in my heart there would be not such indictments because that investigation was conducted while Hillary was running for and presumed to be the likely next president.  They were both protecting her and doing some CYA for themselves should she become the President. 

The double standard, the two-faced actions, the clearly partisan and biased actions of FBI agents so tainted the process that they devalued their worth greatly.  After his testimony before the House Committee, he held a press conference where he made some astounding statements.  Astounding, if he is what he has claimed to be, unbiased and non-partisan.  His own words defy that position and unmask him as a Liberal Leftists Democrat Activist posing as the standard bearer for values and morality.

He told MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace, “All of us should use every breath we have to make sure the lies stop on January 20, 2021,” Comey told an audience at the 92nd Street “Y” on New York City’s Upper East Side. He all but begged Democrats to set aside their ideological differences and nominate the person best suited to defeating Trump in an election. “I understand the Democrats have important debates now over who their candidate should be but they have to win. They have to win.”  Mr. Comey didn’t you mean we, not they because you are clearly in that number.  You suggested that if Trump were impeached one-third of the country would think their president had been ousted by a coup.  Don’t you mean one-half because that’s how many voted for him?

Mr. Comey and those of his ilk need to be held accountable for their trifling with the law and the truth.  If there is justice in America any longer, there must be an investigation, a real one, into the violations by Hillary, Obama, Holder, Lynch, Comey, and many others not just an attempt to bring down the sitting president by selectively going after his associates on whatever charge they can muster.  I am against corruption no matter where it is found.  I am also against, using the FBI, CIA, IRS, or any other governmental arm as a political weapon as is visible in today’s activities.             

It is time to restore integrity to our government if that is possible and ousts every person who follows an ideological belief that is detrimental to our Constitutional Republic.  That net needs to be thrown over Democrats and Republicans alike who are guilty.  We can move forward and see America restored if the Congressional Republicans will back the President as they promised to do in seeking election or reelection.

THE DEATH OF A NATION…


There are numerous ways for nations to die and most of them involve self-inflicted wounds.  Obviously, a nation can die if it is conquered and the occupied and annexed then assimilated or incorporated into the conquering nation.  In that case, the conquered becomes a State within the victor nation and loses its sovereignty.  Conquering and occupying are not uncommon, and it has been called colonization, territories, or subjugation.  To the victor goes the spoils, so to speak.  Germany attempted that, so did the former Soviet Union, England did it in the Colonial period and has been recorded in the annals of history in virtually every era of recorded history. 

But, with regard to ‘self-inflicted wounds’ that kill a nation among those are allowing the ruling class to become an oligarchy if not a hard, tyrannical dictatorship.  In America, we have a Constitution that offers safeguards against that eventuality. but we have allowed the slow erosion of our Constitutional Form of Government.  We have witnessed the elected oligarchs advance their own interpretation of the Constitution.  At other times, they have ignored the Constitutional prohibitions and forced the individual States into subjection to the whims of the federal government.  That is both unwise and unconstitutional, but with the mentality of the courts for decades the legislators have been allowed to rewrite or reinterpret our American Constitution.  They have thereby neutered the States and stripped from us the ownership and oversight of our government.  Again, unwise and unconstitutional, but a present reality.

The Death of a Nation results when those in power find a way to manipulate the populace via entitlements and other economic measures.  A nation’s survival depends on its economic health and when the expenditures exceed the revenue, economic health is jeopardized.  No nation can sustain extended periods negative economic policies and survive.  Taxation is required to fund the spending but there is only so much revenue from taxation that can be extracted from those who pay taxes.  There is a breaking point in which either people stop producing, they revolt, or they run out of money.  The next move is increased debt and debt is the albatross hung around the necks of Free People that, if continued long-term, bankrupts them.

The Death of a Nation occurs when that nation ceases to defend its borders and allows the influx of hordes of newcomers who have neither interest or intent of preserving its sovereignty or advancement.  We are not talking about the preservation of the cultural heritage of the immigrants.  Everyone should hold dear their cultural heritage but when the demand for particular cultural heritage recognition weakens the Republic it cannot be mandated by law.  If there is no price for or value of citizenship, then the foundational principles of the nation become weakened to the point they are inconsequential.  

The Death of a Nation occurs when that nation loses its moral compass and opens the door to such gross self-centeredness and self-aggrandizement and selfishness that there is no sense of moral wrong or civic obligation.  There are biblical principles that must be adhered to if a society is to survive without anarchy and chaos.  If human life is devalued in any sector, it becomes devalued in every sector.  The Bible refers to that as “a little leaven, leavens the entire lump.”  If a nation becomes devoid of a sense of nationalism or patriotism that “what’s in it for me?” becomes the rule and guide that nation is in danger of suicide.

There are visible symptoms of the Death of a Nation that the honest observer cannot miss.  Social Decay is one of the most glaring signs because from the ashes of that condition rises the political opportunists who desire power and control.  It may sound reasonable to demand that the youth be given an equal voice in society, but I argue that devoid of traditional guidelines those youth tend to grow wild and undisciplined and contribute to or open the door for societal destruction. 

In the French Revolution, Jose Ortega y Gasset noted that “Order is not pressure which is imposed upon society from without, but an equilibrium which is set up from within.”  Founding Father, John Adams, argued that “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.  It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”  He was joined by numerous other Founders including, Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Robert Winthrop, Noah Webster, James Wilson, John Jay, Fisher Ames, Gouverneur Morris, and Benjamin Rush to name a few. 

Our first president and the man known as the Father of the Nation, George Washington said in his first inaugural address declared, “…we ought to be no less persuaded that the propitious smiles of heaven, can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which heaven itself has ordained.”  He also said in a letter to James Madison, November 30, 1785, “We are either a United people, or we are not. If the former, let us, in all matters of general concern act as a nation, which have national objects to promote, and a national character to support. If we are not, let us no longer act a farce by pretending to it.”  A Nation cannot survive if it loses focus on its purpose and becomes a nation of individuals who are laws unto themselves.

In today’s America, we are witnessing the pitting of various cultures, ethnicities, classes, and ideologies against each other.  There are those, seeking power and control, attempting to manipulate the national conversation and cause fear and hate to boil over resulting in chaos and anarchy.  Those sinister would-be conquerors appear willing to do anything to secure their ascension to and solidification of a position of power.  A Free Republic dies when it loses sight of the vision, reason, and purpose for which it was established.  John F. Kennedy said it well when he said, “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.”  No, I am not suggesting that we make the Nation our god but that we recognize that “united we stand, and divided we fall.”

I see the signs and symptoms of a Nation diseased and racing toward death.  Yet, I also see signs of and hope for a cure that can restore this Republic to her original foundational purpose and principles.  There is a remedy and part of that remedy is found in 2 Chronicles 7:14. If we, as individuals and a people will humble ourselves, seek the face of God, turn from wickedness ceasing to call evil good and good evil and repent.  God has promised to heal our land.  Additionally, it is imperative that each of us, American citizens, invest ourselves in following honest, right, and moral principles in our daily dealings with others.  “Do unto others as we would have them do unto us.”  We must educate ourselves, become involved and strive to achieve the return of our Constitutional Government rather than allowing a continued Legislative or Judicial Oligarchy. 

We will watch our Nation Die or will we seek to find a cure and become part of the solution rather than contributing to the problem?  That is something that everyone must answer for themselves and in that answer comes the final outcome.

BLOG POST 4 - Edge of the Precipice

I never cease to be amazed but not amused at the Democrats, the MSM, and the Never Trump cults insistence that Donald Trump could not have beaten Hillary Clinton without Russian interference.  Even, Rod Rosenstein and other leading Democrats in various agencies acknowledged that was a farce, but it is still the assertion of the leftists and Trump haters.  Hillary lost because Hillary was a terrible candidate and her policies were not what most Americans wanted, at least not those who work for a living and think.  Enough people were aroused and awakened who wanted to go a different direction to turn the tide.  The Obama followers in the DOJ acknowledged that not one vote was changed because of alleged Russian intervention.  The election was legitimate, just not what they wanted so they scream fraud.

When the shoe is on the other foot and there is clear evidence of voter fraud and collusion by the Left, they charge those protesting of being racist, haters, or conspiracy kooks who deserve no consideration.  It is interesting how the Left shifts when things go their way or when they do not.  If they fail, it is somebody else’s fault and if they succeed, regardless of tactics or corruption there can be no questioning of their win.  Remember how Hillary tried to paint Trump as a deranged devil when he refused to say that he would accept the outcome.  She insisted that to do less was Un-American, then she did less and has refused to accept the outcome two years later.

Donald Trump has insisted, as have many of us, that James Comey, Hillary Clinton, the Obama administration, and others should be investigated.  There were cursory sham investigations of Hillary’s scandals and even the then director of the FBI James Comey acknowledged Hillary and others lied to the FBI and she had committed gross negligence.  However, the Democrats in control took the necessary steps to guarantee no indictments, broke out the brooms and swept everything under the rug.  But when it comes to Donald Trump they use a fake dossier that was opposition research filled with fraudulent and unverifiable information and called it intelligence.  From that platform, they launched a never-ending fishing expedition (Investigation) that was supposed to be about Russian Collusion but has been about anything but that topic.

Those involved know that there is nothing there and rather than end the investigation they go after anyone and everyone for anything trying to get someone to incriminate the president on something.  Rudy Giuliani granted an interview to Axios (A Millennial journalist enterprise).  Out of that interview, we now know what the Mueller Team wants answers to from the president.  It goes back to the campaign and Trump being Trump and cracked a joke or used sarcasm toward the CIA and FBI regarding Hillary Clinton’s emails.  Do you remember?

Trump said, “Hey, Russia!  If you’re listening, maybe you can find the emails that the media can’t find of Hillary’s – – and if you do find ‘em, and hand ‘em over.”  To argue that Trump was asking the Russians to interfere in the election is beyond ludicrous.  Hey, did anyone find it disturbing that Barack Obama would tell Putin’s emissary, Medvedev, to relay to Vladimir that after the election Obama would have more flexibility?  Not a whimper of protest from the Democrats, the MSM, or even most Republicans.  Where was the outrage when Hillary orchestrated the transfer of Uranium holdings to Russian?  We have been told that Hillary was joking when she called the Trump supporters “a basket of deplorables.”  I guess the Left can crack jokes but not those on the Right.

If Mueller and his team actually think that Trump was asking the Russians to hack Hillary’s computers, they are more naïve or lacking the ability to use any measure of reason than I thought.  They know better but when the fish aren’t biting you must move to different locations and try different bait trying to elicit a response from the swimmers.

Throughout this entire process and before there was the repeated ‘looking the other way’ regarding real crimes and violations of federal standards by Hillary, Comey, Holder, Lynch, and a myriad of others.  From what I have seen, if there was any real collusion with the Russians it was from the Democrats.  When you, cherry pick what laws you are going to enforce, as was the case with Barack Obama, you create a situation where the entire justice system is damaged.  In this past mid-term elections, the enormity of voter fraud, virtually all committed on behalf of the Democrats should not be overlooked.

I can only imagine what our Founding Fathers would have thought about federal law enforcement agencies and arms of government planting spies in a political candidate’s campaign.  The FBI even attempted to bait people in the campaign to break the law.  If anything had been done outside the bounds of legitimacy it would have been front page news.  Polls such as YouGov and The Economist report that 42% of Americans think the Russians tampered with the 2016 ballots would be laughable were it not so serious.  Of course, as with most polls, these were likely heavily slanted and seeded with liberal leftists and not a random sample of Americans.

I am 100% convinced that if Donald Trump had colluded with the Russians and the Russians actually managed to tamper with ballots and alter the election, President Trump would be behind bars.  The investigation was supposed to have been about Russian Collusion, but it has morphed into an investigation into everything in President Trump’s life and anyone associated with him.  It appears to be more about damaging him or destroying him in any fashion than determining if there was foreign tampering with our elections.  I wonder why there is not the same devotion to investigating the votes by illegals in our elections.  Why is there not a sustained investigation into the voter intimidation by various groups while former President Obama was in office?  Why was Eric Holder given a pass when he back in 2011 he said, that the case against the New Black Panthers demeans his people. He refused to prosecute because they were black.  That is a story of far more significance than the faux Russian Collusion story.

America, I fear that we are not just standing at the edge of the precipice of the destruction of our Republican System of Government but may have fallen over the side and holding on by our fingernails.  Joseph Goebbels said, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.  The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield people from political, economic, and/or military consequences of the lie.  It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”  That philosophy is being played out before our very eyes in the MSM, activist, and Leftist Democrats following the toxicity of their liberal ideology and agenda.

MATURITY AND IMMATURITY – What Politics Needs But Doesn’t Have…


BLOG POST 3 - Maturity

Maturity is not always age related.  How many remember the argument from the David Hogg’s of this world, the Democrats, and many in the Media arguing that kids younger than eighteen should be allowed to vote?  Many of them have argued that sixteen-year-old children should be given a voice in our elections and some even contended that those as young as fourteen should be granted that privilege.  Were they serious?  Do wild bears live in the woods?  Yes, Alice, even though this is not Wonderland they live in that Fantasy Land on this matter.

But alas, their continued illogic surfaces again and again.  Remember in that argument, they wanted a law that prohibited anyone younger than twenty-one from purchasing a firearm, especially a so-called assault rifle.  The selective arguments as to what children should be allowed to do have always been perplexing, sometimes humorous, but usually frustrating.  It seems they see no illogic in their illogical and contradictory positions.  But, then we are talking about those ascribing to the view of toxic liberalism.

In September, while attacking Brett Kavanaugh’s alleged actions as a teenager, seventeen to be more specific, something amazing happened.  None other than Spartacus himself, Senator Cory Booker advanced legislation that would let seventeen-year old’s off the legal hook.  In his legislation called the REDEEM Act sponsored with Senator Rand Paul, he insisted the seventeen-year-old were not mature enough to be held accountable for their actions.  What?  Senator Booker, you believe that those who are seventeen are not mature enough or have the brain development necessary to be held accountable for their actions.  However, you believe that seventeen-year-old Brett Kavanaugh should be hung from the guard arm for his alleged actions.  Isn’t that a wee-bit hypocritical and inconsistent?

Keith Ellison’s accuser has complained that the Democrats ‘smeared, threatened, and isolated her.’  She provided medical records that revealed on two separate visits to the doctor she had been abused.  She stated that “Four people, including my supervisor at the time, stated that I came to them after and shared the exact story I shared publicly.  I shared multiple texts between me and Keith, where I discuss abuse with him and much more.  As I said before, I knew that I would not be believed.”  What happened to every woman who makes a complaint must be heard and believed?  I guess that does not apply to Democrats, right?

Senator Booker might have a point regarding some of the actions of the brain of a seventeen-year-old.  I am not a medical doctor, a psychiatrist, or a scientist, and do not play one on television, so I cannot clinically address the possibilities of that assertion or argument.  However, if we are going to argue that the seventeen-year-old brain is insufficiently developed to allow them the maturity to be held accountable with a blanket law I see a problem.  No, I see numerous problems and the selective application of that law or view is problematic.

I can see a virtual Pandora’s Box being opened because every seventeen-year-old and every fifty-year-old are different.  Every human being is different.  We need some blanket laws or society crumbles.  However, in this argument, if the seventeen-year-old is argued to be insufficiently mature to be held accountable for their actions, how in the name of everything sensible can they be allowed to vote?

I do not want to see any teenager’s life ruined by one mistake whenever it is possible to avoid that destruction.  I believe in second chances and am thankful that God has given me a second, third, fourth, etc. chance.  In Senator Bookers REDEEM Act the law would mandate that the criminal records of those youths would be sealed.  If that is what he truly believes should have happened, then Dr. Ford’s and a myriad of other allegations from teen years would be allowed to surface.  The destruction done in the Kavanaugh case is permanent as it has been with Justice Clarence Thomas and scores of others too numerous to mention. Another potential problem of not having the pathway to trying a seventeen-year-old as an adult is the possibility of some incredibly troubled teenagers or manipulators of those teens taking advantage of that ‘get out of jail free card.’ 

How about former President Bill Clinton’s accuser, Juanita Broaddrick?  She accused him of actual rape, forced sexual assault.  He was the Attorney General of Arkansas and the Democratic nominee for Governor.  His star was shining bright and he was rising to acclaim so protect him they did.  This was not a singular occurrence for we had the testimony of Paula Jones during his term as Governor and Kathleen Willey during his time in the White House.  Not to mention Monika Lewinsky.  Senators Feinstein, Schumer, Durbin, and Patty Murray voted against impeachment in the face of glaring evidence and perjury by the President.

If Senator Booker and the Democrats or Republicans believe the assertions he makes in defense of his legislation are true how do they reconcile their inconsistencies?  How can you advocate for allowing people younger than eighteen to vote when those younger are deemed too immature to own a firearm or be held accountable for their actions?  I am waiting for their response and suspect it will be a doozy laced with inconsistencies and standard Leftist rhetoric that is nonsensical.

Could we attempt to reclaim some sensibility in America and hold politicians on both sides of the aisle accountable for their ridiculous political antics and nonsensical legislation and actions?  Could we, you and me, the average American citizen determine that we will become involved in the political process and refuse to be manipulated by politicians with nefarious and opprobrious intentions?  Could we, somehow, take a stand in defense of the Constitution, the Rule of Law, and strive to reclaim some moral sanity in this Republic.

THE ENEMY OF FREEDOM OF SPEECH…


BLOG POST 2 - Enemy

The Democrats, some Republicans, and the Main Stream Media all insist that Donald John Trump, the President of these United States is the greatest threat to Freedom of Speech in our lifetime.  I have one small pertinent question, “Where were the complaints when Barack Hussein, the former President, evicted a reporter for asking a question?”  You don’t remember that?  Convenient and selective memory?

CNN Reporter, Jim Acosta is a media thug that believes it is his moral mandate or whatever kind of mandate he believes in, to attack President Trump on everything and whenever and wherever the opportunity presents itself.  President Obama challenged a reporter that interrupted him and asked a question that he obviously did not like.  He said, “You are in My House.”  The reporters in the room chanted “Throw Him Out!”  The MSM applauded the president but when Donald Trump takes similar action against one of the liberal leftist activist of CNN he is worse than Lucifer himself.

It is not that I agree or disagree with Trump or Obama on their handling of the reporters but the double standard being used, that is my issue.  I have no problem with Obama or Trump dealing with rude and interruptive reporters but if it was okay for Obama then it should also be okay for Trump.  I am 100% in favor of Freedom of Speech and believe that is speech is not free for everyone it is free for no one.  I may not like what you have to say but you have the right to speak your mind.  The caveat that I place on that is somewhat two-fold.  You do not have the right to endanger me and you do not have the right to violate my house.  If I lay down guidelines of decorum and you are invited to my house, you can be and should be expected to abide by them.

Once you leave my house you are free to write or say whatever you please, within limits of the law.  But, while you are in my house I have every right to ask you to cease your disruption and rudeness or the right to show you the door.  You may disagree and argue that the White House is our house and we can say or do whatever we want there.  It is the people’s house in the sense that we are the true owners and overseers of government.  However, when we elect a President and he takes up residence and conducts business there, it is his house.  I say that in the same sense that I would say that if you rented a house it is your house while you live there and maintain the provisions of the rental agreement.

Obama removed a heckler in 2015 for disagreeing with his deportations of illegals.  Obama said, “Shame on you.  Listen you are in my house and it is not respectful.”  I don’t disagree.  The heckler continued to interrupt, and Obama asked for the heckler to be removed from the room.  The former president said, “As a general rule I am just fine with a few hecklers. But not when I’m up here in the house.”  Okay with hecklers?  I would say that you were not okay and now that President Trump has reacted in a very direct manner to a reporter who was, in a very real sense, interrupting and heckling him, you and the Left consider it the epitome of evil and a threat to our Freedom of Speech.  Double Standards are double standards and should not be allowed.

Obama said that if the guests were “eating the hors-d’oeuvres and drinking the booze” they were expected to listen respectfully.  Hey, I do not disagree, but I am concerned that the blind hatred for President Trump allows the double standard to become the norm.  I am convinced that if President Trump said we were going to open the borders and allow anyone and everyone to come into this country unvetted the Left would argue that there was something nefarious in his edict.  I would too, but that is not my point.  The point is that no matter what he does, he is damned.  He can do exactly what President Obama did and he is wrong.  He can do the exact opposite of President Obama and he is wrong.  At least in the eyes and rhetoric of the Democrats, MSM, and the haters in this country.

Freedom of Speech has an enemy and that is Political Correctness that has become so pervasive in this country it is stifling freedom.  Well, freedom is stifled for anyone who disagrees with the ideological position and agenda of those following the toxicity of liberalism embraced by the Democratic Party.  I am a devoted advocate for the preservation of our inalienable rights including the 1st Amendment and Freedom of Speech.  When institutions of higher learning (tongue in cheek) ban anyone holding an opposing view to the Socialist Liberal Leftist Progressive view of today they become the enemy of Freedom of Speech.

Freedom of Speech must walk hand in hand with the right to Peaceable Assembly.  You can preach your beliefs with the fervor of an evangelist and I will defend your right.  However, if you, as some have, call for the eradication of ethnicities I will argue that you are in violation of our constitution, the law, and abusing your right to Freedom of Speech.  I am okay with classrooms teaching the theory of evolution, although I do not believe in it, so long as they give equal time to creationism.  If a news outlet claims to be a body that reports the news they should ‘report the news’ not ‘make the news or become the news.’ 

The enemies of Freedom of Speech are those who seek to silence any segment of our society for their political purposes.  If you disagree with me, you are not obligated to engage in conversation with me or debate me. Institutions of higher learning should be about unveiling truth not propagating a particular view.  Critical thinking’s departure is a very real danger in our American society today.  The fact that people, many people, no longer think but regurgitate what they hear from their source of ‘news’ leaves this Republic open to internal destruction and exposes us to outside enemies.

I stand for your right and my right of Free Speech.  When any group becomes the self-appointed police of what is acceptable speech without due process they are the enemy of Freedom of Speech.  Someone asked if I watch CNN or MSNBC and my answer is no.  Oh, I will occasionally listen to hear what they are saying, then fact check their assertions, allegations, or charges so I can present truth to anyone who will listen.  If 95+% of everything that comes from a source is Anti-conservatism and an attack on President Trump and the agenda voted for by the American people, I turn it off.  They can say it, but I don’t have to listen to it.

If you want to protect and preserve our inalienable right of Freedom of Speech you need to think and develop the ability to use critical analysis and thinking.  You need to examine what is being done and the inherent dangers of censorship.  If you do that I am convinced you will reject the liberal leftists socialist of the Democratic Party and vote for candidates that stand for the rule of law and the constitution.  It is, in a very real sense, a fight for Faith, Family, and Freedom.
