At the outset to save some people time, I am writing from my Christian perspective about what is happening in American politics.  What I am suggesting is my view based on my faith, my study of the Word of God, and my observation of politics and life.  I believe that America is in dire straits and on the brink of total destruction but can be revived and redeemed.  However, I do not believe we can win this war, fighting the way we have been.

Now that I have provided the opportunity for some to exit stage left and shake the dust off their shoes at me, I will proceed.  If you enjoy the infighting and the mudslinging name-calling method, you probably won’t like what I am going to say.  If you enjoy the anger, the hate, and the push and shove of the dirty business of American politics in the modern era, you may not like my suggestions.  However, I hope you are open-minded and concerned enough to hear the conclusion of the whole presentation before throwing me and my message into the proverbial file thirteen.

If that last paragraph is accurate, then why would I suggest that we do not need to give tit for tat, insult for insult, and push for every shove? Why should we not exact a pound of flesh and eye for eye or tooth for tooth?  If they are willing to use any means and method to achieve their agenda why shouldn’t we do the same?  If they believe the end justifies the means and nothing is off-limits including genocide and interment into indoctrination concentration camps, why should we be less aggressive in our approach?  If they are driven by hate and openly call for violence against those who disagree, why should those on the Right not do the same?

Why?  Because I believe that is an example of using the wrong weapons to fight the war.  In fact, I believe, to a great extent we have been fighting the wrong war with the wrong weapons and focus and achieving the wrong or no positive results.  There is a way to redeem and revive America and see her restored to the ideals that were embodied in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution.  That way involves the political, but its foundational base is not politics as usual. 

I believe that the number one problem in America is not Left vs Right, Conservative vs Liberal, racial, gender, or who is in control in Washington.  I believe the number one problem that has brought us to the place we are on the brink of annihilation as the Free Constitutional Republic is “The Human Heart!”  What I mean by the heart is how we look at life and our relationship with our creator. Those determine how we view everything else and how we relate to others.  If it is all about me then anyone standing in my way must be rendered impotent and must be defeated. 

For decades we have engaged in partisan politics in America. The inclusion of identity politics and the fanning of the flames of bitterness, fear, and hate has produced the fruit we desired. We are now reaping the harvest of what we have sown. Those of us who want the Free Constitutional Republic with Limited Government and Free Enterprise are the targets of a coalition of media, academia, activists, and politicians.  It is my observation that some of those in the coalition are extremely ideologically diverse but their hatred for America as founded, our Free Enterprise System of Economics, personal liberties, and the Constitutional Republican System of Government enables them to share the same bed.

Is it Stupidity that drives them?  Hardly, although many of their proposals are moronic.  Is it a lack of understanding of true history that causes them to act as they do?  Yes and no.  We have at least two if not three generations who have gone through the offerings of public education and institutions of higher learning taught by the activists of the 60s and that has rendered masses of people historically ignorant.  Many of those involved in the toxicity of the Left are very intelligent people but have ascribed to a flawed philosophy and applied their intelligence wrongly producing damage to the foundations of our republic and freedom.

What is the root of the ideology of those making up the political left today?  I believe it is evidenced in a noticeable decline in morality, selfishness, self-centeredness, and believing a lie.  When a nation, any nation, draws back from its basic moral roots and abandons its belief in its creator that nation experiences the fruits of depravity.  That depravity allows them to devalue human life (abortion).  That condition demands they, as Adam and Eve experienced in the Garden of Eden, elevate themselves to the position of God and reject His supremacy.

Our Founding Fathers recognized the hand of Providence in the birth and development of the Republic.  Benjamin Franklin in his address to the Constitutional Convention on July 28, 1787, said, “I have lived, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth — that God Governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid?”  

Patrick Henry in his letter to Archibald Blair on January 8, 1799, said, “The great pillars of all government…[are] virtue, morality, and religion. This is the armor, my friend, and this alone, that renders us invincible.”  

John Adams in his address to the militia of Massachusetts in 1798 said, “We have no government armed in power capable of contending in human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.”  Then in his defense of the Constitutions of Government of the United States of America in 1788 said, “We have no government armed in power capable of contending in human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.”  

What are we to do? How are we to fight this War for America?  First and foremost, we cannot be as they and play by the same rules.  We cannot engage in the offering of hate for hate, bitterness for bitterness, insult for insult or seek to destroy our opponents in every conceivable way.  We must not be vile, hate-filled, and embittered.  We dare not simply rely on politics, debates, advertisements, articles, and slander.  We must not make the polls or voting booths our sole source and hope.

What are we to do?  We must seek God first and foremost!  We must return to Him with a whole heart!  We must demonstrate love where hate is prevalent!  We must sow seeds of kindness when it would be easier to wield our swords!  We must follow the prescription of 2 Chronicles 7:14 and in humility turn to God in repentance and pray for the best good of the republic.  If we get our hearts right and make God first in our hearts and lives, we will impact our world.  Lest anyone think I am saying if we turn to God magically the Left will seek the shadows and hide surrendering.  They will not! 

However, if we follow the biblical directives regarding our relationship to others and God, we will find that God will directly and indirectly intervene and provide us victories heretofore not experienced.  Since my wife went home to Jesus, I have revisited my entire life and view of everything.  I have been convicted by the Holy Spirit and the Word that following the ways of the flesh achieves no lasting victory.  It may satisfy my thirst for vengeance temporarily but will guarantee the cyclical political condition to persist.  I want lasting victory and desire to see America revived and restored. 

It is time for all who believe in God and are followers of the Lord Jesus Christ to lay aside their personal preferences and SEEK GOD!  What I want is secondary to what He desires.  What I prefer is secondary to what God deems the best course of action for the nation.  God may allow us to become a third-rate empire and inconsequential on the world stage.  That will be our condition and position if we keep fighting the way we have.  Hate divides and renders reconciliation impossible.  Love is stronger than hate.  Our love must be great and capable of exhibiting tough love where required.  But if we continue to devour each other we will render both sides weakened to the point that outside and diabolical inside influences will destroy us.

I hope that what I have attempted to say has not been too vague and that many will be inspired to intercede for America and seek God with a whole heart.

It breaks my heart that there is the disrespect for the American flag that exists today!  It saddens the heart of this Veteran, Patriot, Christian, American, and Lover of Freedom that people would burn, tarnish, and disrespect that symbol of freedom.   I served in Vietnam in 1967 and would serve again if my country asked me to defend her or the freedom of others in the world.  I do not regret serving.  If that makes me evil in your eyes, then so be it.

I want to utilize some pictures in my blog post and reminders of the transition to the current American Flag that has 50 Stars.  It has been a long journey and the blood of multitudes has been shed to acquire and maintain this Republic as the Free Constitutional Republic our Founders envisioned and we have enjoyed!

A declaration that I have always deeply appreciated is: “Resolved, that the flag of the United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field representing a new constellation.” That was written on June 14, 1777, when a Marine Committee of the Second Continental Congress passed a resolution establishing a new flag for the United States of America.

The first United States flag was the Stars and Stripes flag.  Prior to June 14, 1777, it was the Grand Union Flag and still bore the Union Jack in its design.

The resolution signed on June 14, 1777, gave no instructions as to how many points the stars should have, nor did it mention how those stars should be arranged on the blue union.  One popular design was the Betsy Ross flag.

Another popular flag in American history was the Bennington flag.  It was used by the American militia during the Battle of Bennington, August 16, 1777.

In 1795, the number of stars and stripes increased from 13 to 15 to reflect the entry of Vermont and Kentucky as states of the union.  It was this flag that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the Star-Spangled Banner.

In 1818, after five more states had gained admittance, Congress passed legislation fixing the number of stripes at 13 for the original 13 colonies and requiring that the number of stars equals the number of states.  The last new star, bringing the total to 50, was added on July 4, 1960, after Hawaii became a state.   That is the flag that flies today.

“The colours of the pales are those used in the flag of the United States of America; White signifies purity and innocence, Red, hardiness & valor, and Blue, the colour of the Chief signifies vigilance, perseverance & justice. The Olive branch and arrows denote the power of peace & war which is exclusively vested in Congress. The Constellation denotes a new State taking its place and rank among other sovereign powers. The Escutcheon is born on the breast of an American Eagle without any other supporters to denote that the United States of America ought to rely on their own Virtue.”

Charles Thompson, Secretary of the Continental Congress, in his Remarks and Explanation of the Great Seal – June 20, 1782:

“I honor God first in my life, but my respect for the Flag of the United States of America is not something I compromise.  When I see it misused and disrespected it bothers me more than a little.  When I see it despised by other nations, my anger rises, but I understand their hatred for it and us.  When I see it despised by those who are citizens in this country or are here illegally or legally and are not citizens, I have zero tolerance for that attitude.  If you don’t want to be here don’t!  If this country is not for you, find one that is.  If you cannot be respectful when you are in our house, you are not welcome in our house.  I would not come into your home and be disrespectful.  America is my temporary home and I expect you to respect that.  Heaven will be my eternal home and I guarantee you would respect God’s home so don’t disrespect ours!  Thank you!”

America’s emblem that is recognizable around the world and regarded by multitudes as a symbol of freedom should never be tarnished.  If you feel it is your right to burn, trash, deface, or otherwise disrespect the American flag I would suggest you might be in the wrong country.  No, I am not saying you have no right to your point of view but to disrespect the sacrifices of those who died serving this nation are unacceptable.

If you believe America is a corrupt evil empire that needs to be transformed, then take your efforts to the polls and vote for candidates who share your views.  But, show a modicum of respect for the sacrifices that were made to afford you that privilege and do not kneel during the National Anthem.  Do not burn the American flag.  Do not otherwise tarnish or deface it.  If you do, you demonstrate that you do not believe what you claim to believe.  If you believe that there should be equality and justice for all then civilly fight your fight, not in rioting, looting, or tarnishing the flag and the memories of those who served.

I do not expect everyone to agree but I stand for the National Anthem and respect the Flag. I kneel before God only!  I will not be intimidated or coerced into ceding to the demands of those who want America transformed into a Socialistic nation.  I will continue to stand firmly for Faith, Family, and Freedom.

As I begin this and as you read, some will argue that what I will advance was not a prophecy but an opinion.  I won’t argue but I believe that it was prophetic and at the least a dire warning that has gone unheeded by generations following. 

Our founding fathers saw the dangers facing the fledgling nation and attempted to give us guidelines and adequate protections that would perpetuate a Republic which would enjoy Constitutionalism and Freedom into perpetuity.  They tried but we ignored their warnings, prophetic declarations, and did an end-around their attempted protections and guidelines.  We did it!  You may argue, it was the politicians, not the people.  Let me argue that the politicians could not have done what they have done if the people had heeded the warnings and demanded the observance of the constitution.  We slept and they infringed!

What was the prophecy given by George Washington?  In his farewell speech on September 19, 1796, the first president and father of our country said: “The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of right and order which Heaven itself has ordained.  Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports.  In vain would that man claim the tribute of patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens.”  WOW!    He quoted in (Christian Life and Character of the Civil Institutions of the United States and America’s God and Country) – “reason and experience both forbid us to expect that national morality can prevail in the exclusion of religious principles.  It is substantially true that virtue or morality is a necessary spring of popular government.” 

In Proverbs 29:2 we read, “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when a wicked man rules, the people groan.”  Today, we have those on both sides of the political aisle who believe that everything of God and the Bible should be eliminated from education and all government institutions.  Washington clearly did not share that view, nor did the other founders as can be easily identified and quoted. 

On June 25, 1962, the United States Supreme Court decided in Engel v. Vitale ruled 6-1 that a prayer approved by the New York Board of Regents for use in schools violated the First Amendment by constituting an establishment of religion.  The following year, in Abington School District v. Schempp, the Court disallowed Bible readings in public schools for similar reasons.  That was the culmination of over 100 years of labor by those hating God and the Bible to disallow anything of God and the Bible in education.

Thomas Jefferson lamented, “I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever.”  Noah Webster said, “Every child in America should be acquainted with his own country.  He should read books that furnish him with ideas that will be useful to him in life and practice.  As soon as he opens his lips, he should rehearse the history of his own country.”  We are paying the price of ignoring the warnings of our founders and allowing the politicians, activists, and courts to strip God and the Bible from education.  The door that was opened has led to an array of detrimental legislation that has weakened the foundations of our Republic.  We ignored the warnings, believed a lie, and are reaping the harvest of our delusion.

Gouverneur Morris, a signer of the Declaration of Independences declared, “For avoiding the extremes of despotism or anarchy…the only ground of hope must be on the morals of the people.  I believe that religion is the only solid base of morals and that morals are the only possible support of free governments.  Therefore, educations should teach the precepts of religion and the duties of man towards God.”

Benjamin Franklin said, “A Bible and a newspaper in every house, a good school in every district – all studied and appreciated as they merit – are the principal support of virtue, morality, and civil liberty.”  Fischer Ames considered the author of the Frist Amendment supported the Bible in public education.  He said, “[Why] should not the Bible regain the place it once held as a schoolbook? Its morals are pure, its examples captivating and noble. The reverence for the Sacred Book that is thus early impressed lasts long; and probably if not impressed in infancy, never takes firm hold of the mind.”

In America, we are witnessing things that demand God’s propitious smiles be withheld from us.  How can the propitious smiles of heaven be on a nation that devalues life and practices a form of idolatry in abortion?  I say a form of idolatry because the idolatry of Baal worship included the sacrifice of children.  Israel sacrificed thousands of their children but in America, we have sacrifice millions to the god of self-indulgence.  We call it names to make it more palatable but that life in the womb is a human being not a blob of tissue.  It is not about a woman’s right or a woman’s health but convenience. What about the rights and health of that living being in the womb, the unborn baby?

The propitious smiles of heaven cannot be expected on a nation that slaps God in the face with the myriad of genders now deemed a reality.  God created two genders, male and female.  God instituted marriage between one man and one woman.  God established the home and desired procreation to replenish the earth.  When we endorse sex changes, same-sex marriages, the dismantling of the home and family we abandon the eternal rules of right and order that God has established.  We trample on God’s Word and expect Him to bless us.  How arrogant can we be?

The fanning of the flames of hate, perpetuating bigotry, racism, and every other dividing element in society demands that God withhold His propitious smiles.  America has been blessed and our founders recognized the divine hand of God’s providence in our becoming a nation.  For much of our existence, we have maintained our respect for God, at least publicly, and allowed Him to be recognized.  That changed dramatically in the 1960s and now we are reaping the harvest of destruction.

Proverbs 14:34 declares, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”  Today we have become so anesthetized to wickedness we are no longer bothered by immoral leaders or politicians.  We no longer have our moral sensibilities troubled by the trash that is on the movie screens, televisions, music, and much of our culture.  If we want to see America restored and revived, we must return to God and our founding principles and restore the only thing that can stem the tide of depravity back to our public square and our education.

I believe that our solution is not electing a different set of politicians from an opposing party.  That might help and could give us a brief window of opportunity to get things back on the right path but will not solve the problem.  Legislation will not change the hearts, ONLY GOD can do that!  If we, as believers, would dedicate ourselves to living godly lives, teaching, and admonishing others, including our rulers of God’s precepts, and pray for our nation we would see a glimmer of hope arise.  If we would reassume the responsibility for the teaching and training of our children and “train them in the way, they should go” we would see the flicker of hope restored.

We can recover, but ONLY if we change course and cease making politics king and recognize Jesus as the only true King of kings and Lord of lords!  I ask all who love God and love freedom to join me in the pursuit of God and seek to demonstrate the Golden Rule in our lives.  Let’s become those who stand in the gap and make up the hedge.  Let’s become those who are willing to go to jail and die for our freedom and the truth that makes us free, THE WORD OF GOD!

A biblical passage found in Hosea 8:7 is germane to what has been happening politically for the past four-plus years.  “They have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind.”  The Amplified rendering is, “For they sow the wind [in evil] And they reap the whirlwind [in disaster].”  I do not know how or when the storm will come for those who have stirred up chaos and hate for the past four-plus years, but I believe that it is a coming reality. 

One of Job’s comforters in Job 4:8 said, “As I have observed, those who plow evil and those who sow trouble reap it.”  We know from numerous passages that we reap what we sow, and we get what we give.  It is the Law of Harvest or the Law of Reciprocity.  I believe the declaration of the Bible and have observed in life that things have a way of coming back to us. 

We watched in dismay during the previous administration, the Democrats and some Republicans sowing discord in America in their anti-Trump rhetoric.  Donald Trump, the 45^th President of the United States of America was deemed abnormal.  He was assuredly different and colorful.  He was not without personal or moral failings and was not the normal political animal we have been accustomed to.  In that respect, for many, he was a breath of fresh air.  He said what he meant and meant what he said.  That, the Left, the Establishment Republicans, the Media, the Activist, and Hollywood deemed abnormal.  How dare he, not follow their rules of decorum.

The response to Trump was extreme, hate-filled, and violent.  It was not those attending MAGA rallies that burned buildings, beat up citizens, and created mayhem rioting, looting, and breaking the law.  It was an extension of the Democratic Party and with their full endorsement and encouragement.  The media insulated the Democrats, protected the lawbreakers, and trashed Trump and his supporters.  We were abnormal and even evil to the Leftists. 

I recall when Donald Trump won the Republican nomination, the Democrats, almost universally, insisted that they would no longer abide by the normal rules of American politics.  They deemed him so unacceptable they had to stop him at all costs.  Jim Rutenberg of the New York Times declared, “Mr. Trump’s candidacy is “extraordinary and precedent-shattering” and “to pretend otherwise is to be disingenuous with readers”  He then said, “It would also be an abdication of political journalism’s most solemn duty: to ferret out what the candidates will be like in the most powerful office in the world.”  That was their shot across the bow and forewarning of their intended path of coverage.  It would be vile, and they would seek to Trash Trump at every turn.

Amazingly, they have been virtual crickets and cheerleaders for the Biden campaign and administration.  I wonder what changed?  Wait, I know, Biden, to them, represents normal.  His corruption is excused because he follows their rules.  His moral failings are justified because he is one of the political elites.  His bad policies and agenda are acceptable because he is not Trump and a member of the Deep State and a denizen of the political Swamp.  His family ties to corruption and his connection to foreign governments that hate us are not to be discussed.  His mental acuity is diminished even as Biden was observed repeating an order generated in his earpiece to “salute the Marines.” 

The Big Tech Companies, Banks, Financial Institutions, and other agencies of the federal government have launched a full-scale war on Trump, his subordinates, conservatives, and Christians who do not kowtow to the Leftist views.  If one dares to declare the Bible as it is written or defend the Constitution in its original intent, they are worthy of extermination.  The view of the Left is that we all need to be rounded up and placed in reeducation camps to reprogram us.  They need to save us from our mental and moral failings.  We rejected their agenda therefore we are unworthy of life.

Virtually every president in American history has enjoyed the usual 100-day honeymoon.  That was not so with Donald John Trump.  The Democrats announced plans and the desire to impeach him before he was inaugurated.  They deemed him divisive and evil, but with Biden, there is the insistence that we must cooperate for the good of the country.  Why was that not the mindset four years ago? 

I have never witnessed in my 74 years on the planet, the hate, rhetoric, and diatribe launched against President Trump.  Senator Cory Booker was one of the Democrats that encouraged people to go to the Capitol and “get up in the face of some Congress people.”  Wow!  He was not charged with inciting insurrection, but that is exactly what he did.  Senator Tim Kaine, Hillary’s running mate urged people to “engage in street fights” with Trump supporters.  Was that decried as vile and unacceptable, outside the norm of civil behavior and normal political decorum?  Is the Moon made of Blue Cheese?  Do Pigs Fly? 

Dare we forget then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch telling people to “bleed and die in the streets”?  How about Congresswoman Maxine Waters encouraging people to “physically harass anyone from the Trump administration”?  I remind you that Kamala Harris insisted that the “violent protests in June of 2020 not let up.”

The list is almost endless of the Democrats encouraging people to become violent against Trump and his supporters.  We witnessed entertainers and other leftists imagining and dreaming of beheading the President, bombing him, and blowing up the White House, shooting him, raping, and sodomizing his children, and more.  Joe Biden repeatedly spoke of wanting to beat Trump up.  But Joe seems to have a vision of himself as a tough guy who more than once challenged someone who questioned him.

There is information that in November 2020 activists were plotting and planning to attack the Capitol.  There is video evidence of the Capitol police allowing the people to enter the building.  Those who organized that attack were not at the speech but were already at the Capitol.  To claim that Trump incited the riot is just another of the many examples of the Left ‘sowing the wind.’  I believe that, in time, they will reap what they have sown. I am not justifying rioting of any kind, simply alluding to the anomalies which are visible and the hypocrisy of calling the rioting, looting, burning, stealing, and harming citizens ‘mostly peaceful’ and anything connected to Trump evil and violent!

The agenda that Biden and the Democrats have embarked on is and will destroy much of our Republic.  I only hope there will be enough left in 2022 and 2024 to begin the process of reclaiming and restoring the Republic.  I pray that the whirlwind will sweep them up and out of office as the American people feel the pain of their agenda.  I pray that it will transpire before full-blown Socialism with Authoritarian Totalitarian rule is imposed.  I pray that before we lose all our freedoms and before another Civil War is waged the whirlwind will sweep them away.  I might add, sweep some of the GOP away with it. 

The pain caused by liberalism will be felt not just by those who supported Donald Trump, but the pinch will be experienced in virtually every sector of society.  I pray for America! I believe with every fiber of my being that if we do not reintroduce the dimension of God’s Love into the equation and view other citizens as creations of God, we will never find peace. If we do not find peace we will endure war and that will result in our demise as a Constitutional Republic.

I read recently that historian Tom Holland in Dominion: The Making of the Western Mind (2019) contended that ‘wokeness’ is an offshoot of Christianity.  I contend that it is a perversion, not an offshoot!  They two have little in common and the objective is not the same.  Therefore, I believe that Mr. Holland is errant in his thesis. 

In listening to some critique wokeness and the path America is on in the pursuit of this idea there was a growing consensus that this movement will crash and burn because of its flawed foundation and moral failure.  The utopian expectations advanced are impossible to achieve.  The only utopia that will ever exist, is Heaven and that is because God is a Good, Holy, Righteous, and Perfect God.  His Mercy and Justice form a perfect balance, unlike anything that humans can produce.

I pray that this mentality of wokeness and toxic progressivism found in the liberal ideology being advance will implode.  The only hope for that to happen is for people to awaken from their slumber and begin to see reality not view everything through the rose-colored classes the media and liberals advance. 

Will there come a time when the followers of this ideology will discover that it is impossible to live up to or produce their utopian expectations?  Will the cognitive dissonance of living in a state of self-contradiction translate into a raging furnace of desire to punish others for not being perfect?  If that transpires, and it seems that it is a growing reality, a reactionary response will occur and that could result in the demise of their ideological agenda.

Mr. Holland sought to give examples of Christian sects, which do not represent the whole of Christianity, following the pattern of utopianism or wokeness.  He cited the Taborites who established a utopian settlement outside Prague in 1419.  It was a communistic society which is problematic for this Christian.  There were no ranks or authority and that can only produce anarchy.  Everyone was equal in everything, which is not possible.  They claimed to be peaceful and compassionate, like the Left of today but deemed it necessary that all who opposed their views (enemies) must be put to the sword and eradicated.  That is not Christian!

If you read his book or excerpts from it you will find it difficult if not impossible to determine if Mr. Holland views ‘wokeness’ as good or bad.  He is vague as are many of the politicians advancing this utopianism today.  I will concede that Mr. Holland is correct in identifying this mentality as an offshoot of secular Christianity, not Christianity.  I contend that wokeness is not a reflection of Jesus’ teachings found in the New Testament. 

I believe that Christianity and all believers in God and followers of the LORD Jesus Christ should desire to bring out the best in everyone!  Christianity is walking in the Light of God’s Love and should always point to that light.  It should be characterized by love and compassion and always be willing to help where help is needed.   St. Augustine made the distinction between the secular (saeculum) and the religious (religio) to distinguish godless times from the age of Christianity.  This came to be the mark between the worldly life of believers, and the kind of life lived by the clergy.  Over time it was applied to worldly authority compared to the Word of God.  That latter view was embraced by William Penn in his view of a tolerant, pluralist government. 

John Locke put his confidence in an elected Parliament and the consent to be governed.  Penn and Locke believed in the primacy of the individual conscience and thought that Christian values would keep the secular government in check.  They believed that freedom of conscience and thought were the best weapons or vehicles to maintain a proper balance between the affairs of the church and the state. 

The followers of today’s ‘woke progressivism’ have abandoned those views and the idea of freedom of conscience means nothing to them.  They believe that they and their views are infallible and have a dangerous obsession with imposing their will and views on EVERYONE!  The modern toxic progressive is regressive expecting everyone to march to their drummer.

Throughout history, there have been Christian non-conformist, such as Martin Luther, who was excommunicated by the Roman Church on the charge of heresy.  What was his heresy?  He asserted that the believer was answerable to his or her own conscience.  His views were drawing much too large a following for the church to allow him to continue.  Luther and his followers were called Protestants because they protested.

It is possible that some of the more moderate ‘woke progressives’ may realize that their views are unattainable and modify them. They will be attacked by their own ideological adherents but that may allow them to survive with a measure of influence going forward.  However, I believe that the main body of woke progressivism will implode because those within will realize as will those without that their utopian world is unattainable.  Sadly, the total destruction of the Republic may have become a reality by the time that happens.

This group dominates the political, intellectual, social, and cultural elites of the Western world.  They are pursuing a totalitarian agenda and I suspect that the globalist using them as useful idiots will tire with their demands when they exceed the willingness of the elitists to enact their demands. 

What I believe is coming is an awakening of the masses to the unattainability of utopianism being advanced.  I believe that the ordinary people of our nation and much of the world will tire of being imprisoned by fear and the edicts of the ‘woke progressives’ who are arming their politically correct police forces.  If you wound an animal and back it into the corner it will become willing to fight for survival and what was once a docile creature will become a force to be reckoned with.  What I see is a revolt from many sides and some incredibly strange alliances will be formed.  When that happens the promoters of today’s ‘woke progressivism’ will find themselves with enemies on all sides and implode.

Extremism in any camp has a limited shelf life.  The sad thing is, although I see this movement imploding, I am not certain that the Free Constitutional Republic known as the United States of America can survive until that happens.  Therefore, I believe that it is mandatory that all believers, patriots, lovers of freedom, conservatives, and constitutionalists find a way to band together and become a formidable voting block and influence-wielding coalition committed and powerful enough to get the attention of the elected.  If we do not, we will lose the Republic.  If we do, we may salvage it in a form capable of being restored.

If we do not return to God and to intercession we will watch our beloved nation become an astrisk in the annals of human history.

The American Oligarchy, Swamp, Deep State, or whatever you want to call it is incredibly powerful, far-reaching, and deeply entwined in everything government.  It may be beyond dismantling, short of a full-blown revolution and a total restructuring of our system of government.  I do not want a revolution.  I want a return to our Constitutional System of Representative Government identified in the term “Republic.”  I want what we were established to be.  I want a return to the governance, vision, and oversight desired and designed by the Founding Fathers.  I want what is repulsive to the Oligarchs, Woke Crowd, the Politically Correct, Globalist, and Statist of today’s politicized America.

If you were able to interview all Americans, you would discover that interspersed in our great republic people who have experienced the tyranny of despotic rulers, first-hand.  They fled those nations to seek a better life in a Free Country where Republicanism was the Constitutionally mandated form of government.  They would express, I am certain, their horror at the direction of today’s America and the would-be Oligarchs.

I have spoken to some who lived under the tyrannical regimes of various communist nations and they are bewildered at the insanity and in their words, the stupidity of many Americans today.  They are shocked and even angered as they watch the oblivious, self-absorbed, puerile wannabe autocrats in the political establishment drive their agenda to impose one-party dictatorial rule.  They know the dysfunctionality of that approach as well as the dangers.  They wonder how we, who have enjoyed the greatest of freedoms would so willingly relinquish our freedoms for freebies.  They wonder, but we are where we are, and it is on the edge of the precipice of destruction.

I, along with many far more informed, have watched the coup in our educational system and the multi-generations indoctrinated and, in a measure, brain-washed by the liberal diatribe and rhetoric.  History reveals the fallacy of the growing number of self-styled intellectuals and social elites thinking their brand of Socialism, Totalitarianism, and Globalism will be different from Europe’s failed attempts.  Their narcissistic gullibility and driving need to feel superior to us common folks make them easily manipulated by the unseen powers offering power, prestige, and control. 

I ran across something that George Orwell wrote five years before the publication of his seminal work “1984”.  He wrote, “There is this fact that the intellectuals are more totalitarian in outlook than the common people.  On the whole, the English intelligentsia have opposed Hitler, but at the price of accepting Stalin.  Most of them are perfectly ready for dictatorial methods, secret police, systemic falsification of history, etc. as long as they feel it is on ‘our’ side.”  Isn’t that interesting and insightful?

The belief that the ‘end justifies the means’ is in full flower in the Democratic Party and much of the Political Establishment of today.  They are supposedly knowledgeable and wise, but demonstrate a severe lack of educated enlightenment regarding history.  They believe they are superior to the average citizen and that we are too feeble-minded and ill-equipped to govern ourselves or make individual decisions for our families.  They fear people who think, and they appear completely incapable of generating an original thought and parrot the diatribe of Leftists dating back to the Fabian Socialists of well over 100 years prior.

The latest push of the Democratic Party and those of the Establishment on both sides of the political aisle is a “One Party Political System.”  The rulers want to rule, and we are deemed to be their serfs and should be grateful for the crumbs from their table.  History is replete with examples of nations that embraced “One Party Rule” and the abject failure and harm to the citizenry.

If we examine history, we find examples in Germany, Italy, modern Russia, and China.  Those should provide adequate warning to cause every freedom-loving person to stand firm against this proposed path of politics.  The unmistakable devastation physically and financially of WW I opened the door for the despots to arise.  History reveals that WW II swung wide the door for China to embrace Mao Zedong’s solidification of his ruling party’s supremacy and squashing all opposition.  What he did is what Big Tech and the Democrats are striving for today. 

It is more than a little disconcerting that in modern America, a nation not reeling from the chaos and destruction of a World War is willingly embracing the advances of the Oligarchs and Totalitarians.  America is the only country in the annals of mankind to sanction as an inalienable right the unrestricted right of the populace to ‘keep and bear arms’ as a bulwark against an oppressive centralized government.  Our Founders and Framers understood history and knew that power vested in the hands of a few could morph into totalitarianism.  They insisted that we have the right to defend ourselves.

I don’t know if the runaway train of destruction being advanced by the Socialist, Totalitarian Oligarchs of the Left will meet opposition sufficient to stop it or not.  I know that before long, under the current administration and the revealed agenda everyone will suffer.  Everyone that is, except the elitists who are in power and in bed with those in power.  Those in the loop may escape the devastation but the average citizen no matter their political position will soon face the crunch of the lunacy.  Will that be sufficient to cause an uprising?  I do not know but I do know the pain is going to be felt by most very soon.

The walls and National Guard in Washington, the open borders, the war on fossil fuels, the political correctness of the woke crowd, and the so-called ‘equality acts’ that are anything but designed for equality for all are beyond dangerous.  The only way they can enact their agenda is to transform American into a one-party system politically.  That is either through fraud, gerrymandering, manipulation, increasing the voting base via illegal immigrants, or collusion between the two major party establishments. 

It is necessary that we the people, become engaged, unified, and mobilized to not just win battles but permanently dispatch the megalomaniacs seeking total control.  If we do not resist their push to transform America into a One-Party Oligarchy, we will witness the loss of ALL our Freedoms and Liberties not just some of them.  We must become involved on the local level, the regional level, the state level, and the national level.  This is not a top-down fight but a bottom-up one.  We have to stop allowing the media and politicians to elicit knee-jerk emotional responses from us and consider the long-term overall issues, dangers, and needs of the nation.  Policies that are destructive long-term must be resisted and politicians advancing them must be dispatched.

If we are not willing to fight and even die for our Freedom and our Republic, we will lose it.  The Spirit of 1776 must be rekindled.  The Spirit of Obedience to God and Morality must be restored. I am not calling for armed insurrection or revolt, but I am calling for everyone to become committed to the cause of restoring America and keeping her the Free Constitutional Republic we were given in the late 1700s.  If we are not willing to risk, it all to save the Republic posterity will live under the tyrannical despotism of a One-Party All-Powerful Central Government.  I cannot live with rendering my children and grandchildren to suffer that fate.  Therefore, I stand for Liberty, and with the spirit of Patrick Henry and our Founders I say, “Give me liberty, or I might as well die.”

Sometimes, just looking at the headlines on various media sites or over the news networks is telling.  I have told people that one of the ways you can know what is happening in the realm of the spirit is to watch the movies coming out of Hollywood.  The devil is keenly attuned to what God is doing, probably more than most Christians.  The media, politicians, Hollywood, academia, and the activists are all driven by something that, if their diatribe is deciphered will reveal the real battle behind the scenes.

Some may turn me off at this juncture because I just became too mystical or too spiritually motivated in my comments.  Some Christians do not believe in the spirit realm and when talk of satan’s influence or demons is inserted into the conversation, they exit stage left.  I do not see a demon under every bush and do not believe that the devil is controlling all that is happening in this world.  His influence is present, and it behooves us to be aware of his tactics and deceptions.

I want to make a statement before I launch into the headlines I have observed over the past few days and weeks.  My declaration:  we are focused on the wrong things and therefore cannot hope to achieve the desired objective.  If one begins wrong, they will end wrong most of the time.  If the foundation is faulty, the building is unstable.  If the basic premise is flawed, then the targeted objective is unlikely to be achieved.  I believe that Christians, Patriots, and Lovers of Freedom in America are putting our eggs in the wrong basket.

That demands a bit more explanation.  We have largely focused on our divisions and differences politically.  We have done that religiously, socially, relationally, and in many areas of life.  Drawing the line in the sand and daring the other side to cross that line or knock the chip from our shoulders will never achieve the desired restoration of America that most of us long for.  It will expand the chasm of division and corrupt our vision, objective, mission, and hearts. 

I believe that the focus needed is GOD!  Yes, I said, God! I believe that our republic was founded on biblical principles. I believe it was founded with the desire to produce a republic as described in our Independence Declaration. It was founded with an awareness and acknowledgment of His Person, Power, and Providence. 

If America was established on godly and moral principles, not political power, and control, then if we make political power and control the objective we err.  We have been in a cyclical condition for decades politically and that will continue if we do not return to our foundational ideals and embrace the words of John Adams, “Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.  It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

Let me give you a brief list of some headlines that caught my eye and then express what I believe they reveal.

Some will read that list and say, “Disjointed and Unconnected.”  Some will question, “What’s the point?”  Those observations are not totally invalid, but I believe they are linked and provide a point worthy of consideration as to the condition of America.  The condition of this nation politically, morally, societally, economically, and spiritually.  That is why I say we are focused wrong. 

We are seeing the massive push of the Cancel Culture, Political Correctness, and the theoretical inclusiveness of the Woke Generation.  But there are sparks of encouragement here and there that Americans from many sectors are awakening to the dangers and pushing back.  I believe that we are seeing the beginnings of the rebirth of the Spirit of 1776 in America.  However, if we make the political our starting point and fight fire with fire hurling insult for insult, we will fail to achieve that revival and restoration.

The draconian efforts of politicians during the COVID-19 pandemic that has led to the demand that everyone become vaccinated as our only cure is opening the door to some glaring realities of the danger of rushing to produce a cure.  The data regarding COVID does not support the requirement for enforced shutdowns, mandated vaccines, and the other impositions that have transpired. 

The elimination of potential beneficial drugs and treatments because Donald Trump endorsed them is beyond insane and even diabolical.  I don’t care who endorsed a treatment, if the data indicates it is even limitedly effective, it is worthy of inclusion in the list of treatment options.  I believe those headlines indicate that there is a behind-the-scenes plan to achieve some of the Agenda 21 Population Control Objectives and Control through this virus or bioweapon, whichever it is. 

The economic policies, the inclusion of Marxist practices in our military, the forced acceptance of varied and even deviant sexual choices is revealing of the dangerous moral position of the Republic.  They also reveal the ineptitude of the politicians to effectively deal with problems without segregating America into camps and sects, pitting Americans against Americans.  Is that part of the plan to divide and conquer?  You have to answer that for yourself, but this American believes the answer is yes.

You cannot read the headlines of today or list to the news media presentations without realizing that our traditional, biblical, and moral foundations have been weakened if not eradicated.  When the courts, congress, and even some churches will not openly and affirmatively disavow the gender lunacy we place our children in danger.  We place the fabric of our society in danger and almost guarantee the unraveling of the basic fabric that has made us, arguably, the greatest nation on earth.

If you do not embrace the racial activism of the Left, the sexual preference agenda of the progressives, and the slaughter of the unborn, you are deemed the enemy.  Skin color does not make one a threat, but the attitude of the heart could. 

If we are going to see America restored, I believe we must return to our moral, spiritual, constitutional, and biblical values, principles, and positions.  We are flawed vessels and our republic has made mistakes but dismantling everything that made us great and produced the prosperity and freedom we have enjoyed is insane.  If we are going to see America return to being the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave and have any hope of becoming a nation where there is Liberty and Justice for All we must also become ONE NATION UNDER GOD!

Concerned about what, Roy?  About the Leftists Critical Race Theory indoctrination and implementation?  About the Cancel Culture?  About the agenda of the Leftists who want to restructure the American Constitutional Republic into an Oligarchy, Tyranny, or Authoritarian Totalitarian System of Government?  How concerned?  DEEPLY!

The Leftists Marxist radicals are pushing the incredibly racist pedagogy known as ‘Critical Race Theory’ and have literally destroyed the quality of education in public schools.  They have effectively done that in places like New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Chicago, and other bastions of toxic liberal thought and ideology.  Let me suggest that no city, no school system, and no state are immune or safe from this creeping cloud of destruction.  The ultimate goal is CONTROL, and that is not possible without the successful brainwashing of generations of Americans.  We are in the third or fourth generation of that effort.  The fruit is visible in American politics, entertainment, sports, and education.

They have, as always, are using benign-sounding names to cover their tracks.  One of those is ‘Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education’ (CR-S).  This is being implemented and Teachers’ unions and state education departments are buying into it and promoting it.  The result is blocking parental input into the education of our children and thereby relegating them to the indoctrination of the ideologues.  The result will not be pretty, but it is already dark and getting darker.

When I hear of departments of education implementing ‘equity audits’, ‘cultural proficiency training’, and ‘culturally responsive education programs’ I cringe.  This has been used before in despotic regimes of history and is not front and center in American education.  While the wheels of change turned, we rested on our laurels with a ho-hum attitude.  In a sense, we did this to ourselves by not being involved and informed.

In New York City the guidelines are brazenly clear, and they are devotedly seeking to develop a system of education that effectively destroys all moral and cultural values of family and faith.  Their guidelines state that they are targeting what they call, “A complex system of biases and structural inequities.”  They claim that those are ‘deeply rooted in our country’s history, culture, and institutions.’  They insist that our present system routinely confers advantages and disadvantages based on linguistic background, gender, skin color, and other distasteful characteristics.  They insist that these must be identified, understood, challenged, and fundamentally transformed.  That phrase again, ‘fundamental transformation.’

The pretext is to promote diversity, but it is designed to force parents and students to accept a curriculum deemed to be anti-racist.  That covers the entire spectrum of education from English to Math.  They insist that our current mathematics courses are embedded in white privilege and are racially biased.  They allow no discussion or dissent and parents with children in those systems must comply.

The quality of education is going in the tanks across the nation.  It took a nose-dive as a result of the COVID-19 restrictions but was already being diminished because of the diabolical desires of the Leftists. 

When you couple the implementation of the CRT to the Cancel Culture you provide a seedbed for anarchy and delusion that provides a super-highway for the Leftists to advance their agenda.  The Cancel Culture has its tentacles in some of our major corporations. They are using their economic and political clout to enforce some very radical cultural standards.  Disney is one such corporation that is fully on board with the Leftist agenda and the fundamental transformation of America.

The Leftists want no debate regarding CRT or the Cancel Culture.  It, like Climate Change, is supposedly ‘settled science’ and therefore those of us who disagree are to be muted if not eradicated.  Part of the problem with corporations is economics. They truly believe that the rabid Leftists will negatively impact their acceptance and thereby their profits, so the rest of us be damned. 

Corporations are convinced, I am convinced, that the often violent social media mobs present a legitimate and serious threat to their bottom lines.  Therefore, they are willing to censor, silence, cancel, and reject any dissent to the politically correct Leftists Marxists ideology and agenda.  Conservatives, Constitutionalists, and Evangelicals need not apply to many of the corporations.  If you have ever posted anything contradicting the Leftist’s rhetoric you are to be permanently black-balled.

The insanity of refusing to allow honest and open debate is contrary to everything that America was formed to be.  It is a direct violation of the spirit and intent of our Founding Fathers, our Declaration of Independence, our Constitution, and the Bill of Rights.  It is contrary to the teachings of the Bible and flies in the face of reason and logic.  Truth is capable of withstanding critical analysis, but falsehood cannot survive light being shined upon it. 

We are going to see more and more of this in the days to come and the longer we are in the clutches of people like Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, et al we are in deep trouble.  The longer we allow the Leftists who are proponents of canceling our true history and indoctrinating or brainwashing our youth we will move farther and farther away from Americanism and Freedom.

It is time that we develop alternative media outlets to counter the cancel culture and the CRT.  It is time that those of us who are followers of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible return with a whole heart to God and His principles and precepts.  It is time that we become true intercessors and bombard heaven with prayer, praying the Promises of God and shunning the very appearance of evil.  There is no place for ‘secret service’ Christians, we must run to the battlefront and become those who stand in the gap and make up the hedge.

America, we can recover but it will take a move of God! It will require a willingness to die for Freedom from those who love Liberty!  I am not saying we have to die, but we have to be so committed to liberty that we, as did the Revolutionaries in our beginning, become willing to risk everything even life for Freedom!  Will you join us?

If the Oath of Office all elected officials are required to take is meaningless, the Republic is doomed.  I took an oath when I entered the military back in the mid-1960s and I have never gone back on that pledge.  I took it as a solemn promise to my nation and that promise is still valid in my heart today.

The Military Enlistment Oath we took was read by a superior officer and we repeated it.  I solemnly swore or affirmed that I would support and defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic.  I did not think then that I might see a day when the enemies posing the greatest threat were domestic.  I pledged to bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution and promised to obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to the regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice.  We concluded with “So Help Me God.”  I felt I was promising my country and my God that I would faithfully perform the assigned duties in defending America.  That was serious to me then, and serious to me now.  I was raised to believe that a man’s word was his bond.

John Keats ended his Ode to a Grecian Urn with, “Truth is beauty, and beauty is truth – that is all / Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.”  Those were lines from an early 19^th-century poet and may seem inconsequential, but they provide a window to view our postmodern relationship with the truth.  Today’s politicians are so loose with the truth, they would not know it if it were to bite them in the butt.

Politicians contain the same sentiments as that we were required to take entering the military.  Regardless of the office, they all PROMISE (Swear or Affirm) that they will support, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.  That does not mean treat it like yesterday’s newspaper or toilet paper.  It means to understand it, adhere to it, and obey it.  It means to be governed by its guiding principles and not go beyond its limits. 

If the Oath of Office conveys any idea, it is that of patriotism, constitutionalism, law-abiding, and honesty.  Those words seem empty when applied to most modern politicians for they seem to be polar opposites of those values.  The words of John Henry Newman describe today’s politicians and much of our society perfectly.  He said, “A peculiar thing about humans is that they cannot accept something intellectually until they accept it emotionally.”  Many are unable to see the lies because they are emotionally invested in the lie or the ideology behind the lie.

There are those in our society who value truth and view it as something outside themselves, independent of their thoughts and feelings and is the goal to which they aspire.  It seems that truth is viewed as something to be envisioned but never possessed.  Why?  Because there is no commitment to practicing the virtues of truth.  To them, it is only a dream, idea, or theory.  Others see truth as something malleable, plastic, and utilitarian.  They believe that their truth is superior to any other truth and becomes THE TRUTH everyone must embrace.

As Christians, if we take an oath before God, we do so with a consciousness of the Omniscient, Omnipotent, and Omnipresent Creator observing our words and actions.  If we fail to fulfill our promise or oath to Him there are eternal consequences.  No, I am not saying, God won’t forgive us if we fail. He will, but if we vow a vow to God, He expects us to keep our word.  He keeps His!  We should do all we do as unto the LORD and that means if we make a commitment to others, we should consider it a commitment to God.  Our Word is Our Bond!

In today’s society, especially in the realm of politics, I must ask, “Does experience or what we see in today’s world tell us that dishonesty is punished?”  I believe that the answer in politics is NO!  We watched the weaponizing of the FBI and other Intelligence Agencies and the blatant lies and distortions advanced by John Brennan, James Clapper, Peter Strzok, Andrew McCabe, Eric Holder, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and a myriad of other Leftists with ZERO PUNISHMENT.  The Media has ignored their violations and desertion from honesty but if there is a question or opportunity to paint a Republican or Conservative in a bad light it is 24/7/365 coverage. 

We have been lied to for years, if not decades, by the media and politicians and yet we keep drinking at their wells and sending the violators back to Washington to continue their dirty deeds.  Do we even care about the Oaths of Office required by politicians?  Do we even know what the Constitutional Requirements and Limits are?  I will not answer that question, but you know what I think.

The Oath of Office and Promise to protect and defend the Constitution implies the willingness to preserve it as well.  In the secular or any other world, truth has no value if its absence has no cost.  If you can play loose with the truth, violate the oath of office, bypass, and subvert the Constitutional directives and it cost you nothing, then the Oath is meaningless, and the Republic is doomed.  Are we there?

The Romantic movement of yesteryear and the political correctness, woke-ness, and cancel culture has opened Pandora’s box making individuals and their emotions the judge of what is true.  Truth is truth, no matter how we feel about it or what we desire.  Sadly, those of us on the opposite end of that spectrum and those are committed to protecting, defending, and preserving the Constitution of the United States have not developed an effective response.  I say that to remind each of us that it is imperative that we return to our moral moorings as a nation and return to God.  We must make Truth universal and transcendent and affix a cost to violation of that objective.  Unless we do so we will never find common ground and move forward as a culture. 

Politicians today seem to believe they are above the law and superior to the masses.  We, in their view, are useful tools to obtain and advance their agenda.  If we cease to be of service to them, they seek to silence, marginalize, or eliminate us by any means possible.  They believe that our Promises are to be kept but theirs are fluid and they take the Oath of Office only as a formality not as a reality or commitment.  It is time that we save the Republic and Fire them All.
