AMERICA NEEDS LEADERS…..

            Just a few days ago I attended the memorial service for former Navy Seal sniper Chief Chris Kyle at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.  Although I had never met Chief Kyle, as a Vietnam veteran and an American patriot I wanted to attend to show my respect to a true American hero and honor his memory as a way of saying “Thank You” to Chief Kyle and all who have served, are serving, or will serve in the future.  It was a very fitting service done with dignity, respect, and class.

             I sat and listened to the songs, the prayers, and the words of friends, classmates, Seal teammates, and his wife.  As I listened I heard about a man who had managed to meld the difficult line of being a committed warrior and a committed Christian.  I also heard the heart of the man himself as various ones spoke about his compassion and love for his fellow-man and especially those who had given of themselves to serve this nation.  I do not know the name of the Lt. Commander who spoke about The Man, The Myth, and The Legend but his words resonated with me in a way that I will never find words to fully describe.  Chief Kyle’s wife’s heartfelt words will ring in my heart for a long time and I will committedly pray for her and the children.  Now for days I have had something stirring in my spirit since the service that keeps growing and crying for release.  I came away from the service thinking America needs more people of the makeup of Chris Kyle.  I guess another way to say it is AMERICA NEEDS LEADERS who have commitment, loyalty, integrity, courage, valor, and serve with honor.  We have too many people who are in leadership positions that have none of those qualities and yet we sing accolades to them undeservedly.

             If I were to compare a Chris Kyle to Barack Obama the contrast would be so stark and sharp that it would be almost frightening especially when I realize that Barack Obama is President of these United States of America.  From the reports that I heard during the service, Chief Kyle disregarded his personal safety on so many occasions in the interest of defending those he was charged with protecting.  Barack Obama, in my view, seeks his own glorification and gratification without regard for those he is charged with leading.  When I review the SEAL Code, that is relatively new, it is easy to understand why the SEALs are among if not the most competent fighting force in the world.

 In brief the SEAL Code states:

  • Loyalty to Country, Team and Teammate
  • Serve with Honor and Integrity On and Off the Battlefield
  • Ready to Lead, Ready to Follow, Never Quit
  • Take responsibility for your actions and the actions of your teammates
  • Excel as Warriors through Discipline and Innovation
  • Train for War, Fight to Win, Defeat our Nation’s Enemies
  • Earn your Trident everyday

    •              That is such a complete contrast to what I see in this President and virtually all members of Congress in Washington.  True Leaders have an unquestioned and uncompromised LOYALTY to Country, Team and Teammate.  True Leaders always serve with HONOR and INTEGRITY 24/7/365.  True Leaders are always READY TO LEAD and LEAD but are capable and willing to follow and have such dogged determination and commitment to that which they have been charged to oversee THEY NEVER QUIT.  True Leaders always TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for their own actions rather than trying to “blame someone or something else.”  They also take responsibility for those with whom they are serving.  True Leaders EXCEL through discipline and innovation putting others ahead of their own ambitions or desires.  True Leaders TRAIN or WORK with a commitment to defeat the enemies and obstacles of our nation.  True Leaders earn RESPECT everyday they don’t just assume that it is to be given without any action or commitment on their part.

                 America needs Leaders!  We need men and women in Congress, the Courts, and the White House who demonstrate, those qualities listed above.  We need people who will HONOR the Constitution, RESPECT the American people, DEFEND this Nation, and ABIDE by the Rule of Law.  We need people (LEADERS) who will set aside their personal ambitions and egos and strive to be what they were elected to be, PUBLIC SERVANTS.  I am now praying specifically that God give us LEADERS who embody the characteristics described in the NAVY SEAL CODE.  God give us men and women who will HONOR God, LIVE BY the Constitution, and ABIDE BY the Rule of Law ethically, honestly, with integrity and honor.  Give us that and America will rise to greatness again.  Take that from us and this nation will fall into a deeper state of depravity and go farther and farther away from the foundation upon which this nation was established.

                 God it is my prayer that you bless each person and guide this nation back to the path upon which you would desire us to tread sending us the LEADERS needed to bring us to that place.

    COMMANDER-IN-ABSENTIA…..

    In so many situations that defines and describes the sitting President of these United States not only now but back when he was a member of the State House in Illinois and while in the United States Senate where he was oft found to vote PRESENT rather than take a stand.

     

                ABSENTIA – is Latin for ‘in absence,’ or more fully, in one’s absence.  In the case of Benghazi and the attack on our embassy, the death of our ambassador and three other individuals including former Navy Seals he could only be referred to as “Commander-In-Absentia” because HE WAS NOT PRESENT and NOT INVOLVED in handling the matter as it unfolded.  I don’t just think that I take it from the testimony of the current Secretary of Defense in testimony given UNDER OATH to the United States Senate.

     

                When Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) asked Leon Panetta if he had direct communication with the President after their “pre-scheduled” meeting at 5 PM EDT, he said NO.  The assault on the consulate had already been underway an hour and a half by that time.  Panetta acknowledged that neither the President nor anyone else from the White House called afterward to check on what was happening.  Mr. Panetta said, “The Commander-in-Chief” left it up to us!  I am quite sure that Constitutional Law requires the President to give the orders militarily that would have been required but he was nowhere to be found.

     

                Mr. Obama has claimed that he gave “three directives” as soon as he learned what was happening but Mr. Panetta contradicts that assertion.  So who is lying and what would Panetta have to gain by lying?  Mr. Obama told a Denver reporter in October:

               

    “I gave three very clear directives. Number one, make sure we are securing our personnel and that we are doing whatever we need to. Number two, we are going to investigate exactly what happened and make sure it doesn’t happen again. Number three; find out who did this so we can bring them to justice.”

     

                His right hand man and compatriot in crime Rahm Emmanuel defended the president but my questions are as follows:

     

    1. 1.    Were those directives actually given?
    2. 2.    Where is the proof?  (There is always a paper trail to confirm such actions)
    3. 3.    If they were they must have been long after the attack not during the actual events.

     

    Senator Ted Cruz of Texas secured admission from both Dempsey and Panetta that they were not in touch with Secretary of State Clinton during the attacks and received ZERO HELP from the State Department.  They even expressed surprise at Secretary of State Clinton’s testimony UNDER OATH that she did not know about an URGENT CABLE from Ambassador Stevens last August about the seriousness of the situation.

     

    Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) received an admission from Panetta that no military action whatsoever had been ordered leaving the consulate on its own in the attack that lasted more than five hours.  When Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) quizzed Deputy National Security Advisor John Brennan about why the administration did nothing to question a suspect he was told that Tunisian authorities had arrested the suspect and there was no provision in Tunisian law to allow the United States to question him.  I do believe that we could have exerted enough pressure on the Tunisian government to elicit their cooperation in this matter had we desired to do so.

     

    It is incredibly clear to me that Barack Obama the President of the United States of America for whatever reason did not care enough about the people in the embassy to be involved and take steps to protect and defend our consulate, which represent the United States of America itself.  Obama did NOTHING.  Clinton did NOTHING.  The Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff did NOTHING.  The Deputy National Security Advisor did NOTHING.  Not only did they DO NOTHING but they spun a lie to cover their FAILURE because the ELECTION was more important that our embassy and the lives of our citizens in Benghazi.  That is more than dereliction of duty it is criminal and treasonous, in my view!  Yet, sadly it seems that nothing will be done to HOLD THE PRESIDENT ACCOUNTABLE for his FAILURE in this or any other situation.

     

    God help us!  America and Americans if we do not exert enough pressure on our elected officials to get them to act we have LOST THE REPUBLIC.  I know many will tell me too late we already have but I must maintain a shred of hope that we can find enough men and women who are honorable and willing to follow the Constitution and the Law and DO THE RIGHT THING!

     

    Mr. Obama, I try to respect you but you make it impossible.  I do respect the Constitution, the office of the President but your actions are reprehensible to me and I have and will continue to call for my Senators and Congressman to take the necessary action to see you not only removed from office but tried for your crimes.

    DISRESPECTFUL AND INCONSIDERATE THE NEW NORM?

                I believe that our society has declined to the point that the “new norm” of behavior is one of being DISRESPECTFUL and INCONSIDERATE.  I also believe that there are thousands who are totally shocked when they confronted with their own participation in that “new norm.”  There is a VERY HIGH COST in allowing our interpersonal and other relations decline to this point and I would like to point out some of the ways that I believe we are practicing this “new norm” and the “penalty” or “repercussions” that result from such behavior.  I write this with a broken heart for God’s people, our nation, and with a deep sense of shame that I too have been guilty, at times.

    LET ME EXPLAIN:

    • SOCIAL MEDIA      

              I have found that on Facebook alone many people, as a norm, arbitrarily add people  to groups without their permission or even asking if they would like to join or participate in that group.  Others, with regularity, post links and other items to people’s walls without first asking the owner of the wall their opinion or desire to have that link or post there.  (I’m not talking about wishing someone a happy birthday, anniversary, or innocuous posts of normal social interaction.)  Those aforementioned actions are, in my view, DISREPECTFUL and INCONSIDERATE.  They presume or assume a right on the part of the individual committing those actions to do whatever they desire irrespective of the feelings or desires of the other person.  It is virtually an expression that says “I know what’s best for you,” or “I like this so should you.”

    •  INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS.

               Frequently it appears that too many of us are not willing to give someone the benefit of the doubt before rendering judgment.  We react without the facts to support our reaction and demonstrate incredible DISRESPECT for that individual.  Likewise we demonstrate the IT’S ALL ABOUT ME attitude in simple things like highway driving when we refuse to allow someone to merge in front of us when we easily could.  At the checkout, stand when we notice someone with only a couple of items and we have a basket full we press forward without considering that by allowing them go to in front of us they might enable them to complete what could have been an urgent shopping event and get on with what their day held for them.  Husbands and wives too often fail to consider the needs or even desire of their partner and focus on WHAT’S IN IT FOR ME?  On the job, from both directions,   ITS ALL ABOUT ME more than what is best for the company or others around me including the customer.  Even in the matter of financial obligations we sometimes fail to take proactive steps to insure that the debt is paid or there is an explanation as to why there is a delay, instead waiting until the collector harasses us.  In the Church, I’ve noticed through the years that a large portion of the congregation feel that the purpose of the church is to MEET THEIR NEEDS rather than what Jesus declared with regard to spreading the Gospel.  In our own personal spiritual relations with God we will demand or complain about not receiving what we asked for at the time we asked it without considering that God’s higher purpose might involve a delay or even a denial to our request.  Those are some simple and often minor examples of demonstrations of DISRESPECT and being INCONSIDERATE.

                To me, it would be the same as to entering someone’s home, propping your feet up on the coffee table and saying “Get me something to drink and something to eat.”  Or walking into a local congregation and taking over the service, declaring that “this is the way we are going to go” without channeling it through property God-assigned authority.  Can you imagine going into a place of business and stopping production of an item, presenting your item as the thing to be produced without the management agreeing that this is the way to go?  It would not only be rude, disrespectful, and inconsiderate it would get you thrown out on your ear and rightfully so.

                This type of attitude suggests that you believe you have the right to hijack someone else’s social media page, church responsibility, home, or business and suggests that you believe your idea or opinions are the only ones that have validity; therefore the right ones to be presented.  It is disrespectful and inconsiderate.  Your ideas, links, posts, etc. may be honorable, right, truthful, and even good but if they are presented without giving the proper RESPECT and CONSIDERATION to those whom the space, the home, the business, or the church either belong or fall within their sphere of responsibility and authority it is GROSSLY DISPRESPECTFUL but seems to be the ‘NEW NORM’ in today’s society.

                We see this in our politicians when they disrespect the Constitution, the rule of law, and the will of the people.  We see this in business when the customer is treated as a necessary evil, the employee is a dispensable tool, and the boss or management is the enemy.  We see this in relationships when the other party’s desires, wishes, and feelings are relegated to non-importance by our actions.  We see this in so many facets of life that it is incredibly alarming to me.

                The cost of this is that we will produce and are producing a generation who see this as NORMAL.  You do not matter if what you want interferes with my objective, thoughts, desires, ideas, or plans.  The result is that we develop a society in which it is EVERY MAN FOR HIMSELF and everyone BECOMES A LAW UNTO HIMSELF and at that point we have anarchy and are a million miles from God’s Word, Will, and Way.

                I know that from an early age I was taught to consider others above myself and so were most of you.  The vast majority of us were taught, from early years, to RESPECT OTHERS, their space, property, and rights.  Yet, today’s ENTITLEMENT SOCIETY has adopted a philosophy that says – I DESERVE IT.  You owe it to me or I have a right to say and do whatever I please whenever and wherever I please.  That results in chaos and a total lack of cooperation and a complete disintegration of trust which is essential for a functional society.

                 Regarding Social Media my experience has been that people continually add me to groups without my permission or without asking me to consider the group.  That is grossly disrespectful and inconsiderate.  No matter how often I ask that it not happen it continues to happen and some will get angry when I do what I always do – LEAVE THE GROUP.  It may be one of the best and most noble groups in existence but if you add me without first asking me if I’d like to participate I consider that a gross demonstration of disrespect and inconsideration and will IMMEDIATELY LEAVE THE GROUP.  I would NEVER go to anyone’s wall and post a link, an article, or anything else without first asking them permission or asking them to review the information and see if they wanted it there.  Doing otherwise is disrespectful and inconsiderate not to mention incredibly rude, presumptuous and arrogant.  Your information may be fabulous but you did it in the wrong way.  I will do as with groups – DELETE your post if you do that. 

                I see this as a sign that those who function in this manner are presumptuous, self-willed, and demonstrating a lack of respect for others.  It is most definitely, in my view, incredibly inconsiderate.  That is a spiritual as well as a moral problem which is becoming a societal problem.  Although the perpetrator might not view such action as problematic – IT IS and should be addressed.  Only you can address it in your life.  Take it before God and I believe that He will confirm what I am saying.

                We need to work at being more RESPECTFUL and CONSIDERATE of others in our lives and interactions.  If I post something on Facebook you are more than welcome to say whatever you please (as long as you are not vulgar or make personal attacks on my friends).  I made it as a public statement and it is fair game.  But to post links, add to groups without asking, or other types of posts other than the common social media interaction communications is INCONSIDERATE, RUDE, and DISRESPECTFUL.  I WOULD NEVER do that to you and ask that you not do it to me or anyone else.  It is a flaw in our society that is costing us our ability to develop the type of Society that Jesus designed and desired as well as the type of Society where consideration, respect and moral decency prevail.  I believe that is one of the reasons that we see many of the violent acts of today – THE LACK OF RESPECT AND CONSIDERATION FOR OTHERS.  Sadly, we have an entire generation that has witnessed this type of behavior from leaders, parents, and other segments of society so they see it as THE NORM and think nothing about conducting their life in that manner.  It is, to me, a key cog in the decline of the American and even World Civilization and something that even in the small and seemingly insignificant areas we should work to overcome.

                 Let’s all strive to be RESPECTFUL and CONSIDERATE.  We can disagree without being either.  We can have robust and even animated discussions about our disagreements without either of those elements.  We can have an open dialogue that is both RESPECTFUL and CONSIDERATE and in that atmosphere I believe we can come to some concrete conclusion as to the real problems and real solutions that we are facing individually and collectively.

    What difference, at this point, does it make?”

                Taking from the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in her tirade when asked a difficult question about real human lives lost in their mishandling of the Benghazi situation she responded angrily “The fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest? Or was it because of guys out for a walk one night who decided they’d go kill some Americans? What difference, at this point, does it make?”  That prompted me to do some introspection and reflection on the world, the Bible, my life, my faith, my country, and our current world.  Let me share my reflections.

                The first thing that I personally need to stress is three particular words used in that tirade and emotional outburst – “at this point.”  Does that mean that if you wait a few days, weeks, or months to answer questions about a situation that it is no longer important to get the facts and discover the root cause?  Is it no longer important to do a “fact finding inquiry” to determine who is to be held accountable and to insure that that type of situation will never happen again?  Is it no longer in the interest of the American people and our national defense to get real answers to real questions?  Does a brief amount of time diminish the importance of the actual events?  If so, we will find politicians using this OUT from now on and will NEVER get real answers in any situation that they want to hide, distort, or evade the truth.  Isn’t the object of an “inquiry” or “investigation” (and I know there is a dramatic difference in the two) to FIND THE TRUTH?  Isn’t that the obligation of a government official to provide ALL INFORMATION possible short of divulging national security sensitive information so that THE TRUTH can be discovered?  I think so!  So, at the beginning let me say:  “Secretary of State Clinton, YES IT MATTERS even at this point!”

                 The fact that we have “four dead Americans” causes it to matter, AT THIS POINT or AT ANY POINT now or 100 years from now.  The fact that the evidence appears to indicate that the President, Secretary of State, and other officials of this administration dropped the ball in this situation makes it important.  Did they do this willingly, with forethought and malice, I don’t know but it happened and as a result we have “four dead Americans” and many others placed in harm’s way then and in future situations.  We demonstrated an incompetence that will energize the terrorists who desire to bring harm to American citizens and American facilities throughout the world.  The end result, the way the subsequent reporting was handled, and the continual ducking of tough questions makes this look bad and for national security reasons IMPORTANT!

                If this administration failed to respond to repeated requests from this embassy for beefed up security it makes a difference!  If this administration presented outright lies or was so blatantly misinformed in the hours, days, weeks, and even months after the fact as to what really happened it makes a difference!  If ignoring the data that suggested that this embassy was in danger of becoming a target and the requests for additional security can be laid at the feet of Secretary of State Clinton or President Barack Obama it makes a difference.  It is the moral and constitutional obligation of members of the Senate such as Senator Johnson to ask the tough questions in an attempt to get to the “root cause” and find “real answers.”  To do less is to be complicit in what took place and endangers Americans in every part of the world.  So, Secretary of State Clinton IT MATTERS!

                This administration has stonewalled virtually every investigation that could potentially place the President, Eric Holder, or anyone within the administration in a bad light.  Basically, Hillary Clinton was echoing in words what Barack Obama and Eric Holder have been doing in actions when she asked, “What difference, at this point, does it make?”  She was only following the script of the Obama administration.  I would expect nothing less from her or anyone else in this President’s crowd.  He has set the tone and provided the script and they are just playing their roles.  It is up to us as citizens and members of Congress to press the issue to the point that REAL ANSWERS to TOUGH QUESTIONS and provide THE TRUTH!

                As a combat veteran, a patriotic American citizen, and a believer in the Constitution of the United States of America knowing how this administration handles things I WOULD NOT SERVE in an embassy today!  When you consider actions such as “Fast and Furious” where our own government put in the hands of drug cartels weapons, I would be hesitant to serve.  We still need real answers as to WHY this was done and HOW FAR UP THE FOOD CHAIN this goes, but we get by their actions – “What difference, at this point, does it make?”  In my opinion, they have demonstrated that human life means little to them.  It is my view that they believe that the end justifies the means and that their agenda is more important than TRUTH, THE CONSTITUTION, THE RULE OF LAW, or AMERICAN LIVES.  So, if I were in a position to have to choose prison or serving in an embassy I would refuse to serve knowing that I would have to be disobedient to direct and specific orders regarding preparedness and defense of the facility and personnel there.  I would have the same opinion I had when I overhead an officer instruct a sailor on the pier in Da Nang that he could not put his clip in his rifle unless or until he was fired upon.  I stepped in and told both the officer and the sailor – “Seaman, you can do what you wish but I would disregard that order as soon as he walks away and lock and load my weapon.”  I further stated, “Sir, you know that order is absolutely ridiculous and should never be given because by the time he is fired upon he will have ZERO chance of loading his weapon, thus you are giving him a death sentence and therefore I believe that your order is an illegal order.”  He agreed with me but stated that he had no choice but to give it.

                 America deserves better than what we are getting from this administration and I will double and triple my efforts to get my elected officials to turn up the heat and be dogged in their pursuit of THE TRUTH in these situations.  I believe that it is our moral obligation to find out what really happened and the blood of those who have fallen is crying from the ground for answers.  Few things have so disturbed me as the statement of Secretary of State Clinton, the actions of this President and his administration on things like this.  This is America, we have a Constitution, and are a nation of laws it is time that Congress and the Courts hold them accountable.  If they do not it is time that we hold Congress and the Courts accountable!  IT IS UP TO US TO PRESS THIS ISSUE TO THE CONCLUSION!

    THE 2ND AMENDMENT AND OUR FOUNDING FATHERS…..

                I keep hearing the liberals, socialist, progressives, and those desiring to BAN GUNS try to tell us that either the Constitution is outdated or that the 2nd Amendment should NEVER be applied to private citizens owing guns.  They try to tell us that only the MILITIA, MILITARY, or POLICE can have guns.  So I felt that it would be appropriate to actually find out what our Founding Fathers had to say on the matter of guns in the hands of America’s citizens.

    Let me give you a few choice quotes from some of our notable founders:

    •  
    • “A free people ought to be armed.” – – George Washington  (I guess the leader of our victorious colonial army and our 1st President is to be discounted too.)
    • [The Constitution preserves] the advantage of being armed which American possess over the people of almost every other nation (where) the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms.” – – James Madison.  (Of course he could not possibly mean today, that had to be for back then and not now.)
    • “Firearms are second only to the Constitution in importance; they are the peoples’ liberty’s teeth.” – – George Washington  (But Mr. Washington surely you didn’t mean people of future generations.)
    • “The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed.” – – Alexander Hamilton  (Mr. Hamilton did you really mean citizens and not just a militia or military unit?)
    • ”And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms….The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants” – – Thomas Jefferson  (Mr. Jefferson are you suggesting that the government needs to have cause to restrain itself knowing that the people can and might do something if they government gets out of control?)
    • “No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.” – – Thomas Jefferson  (Part of shall not be infringed right Mr. Jefferson?)
    • “To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them.” – – George Mason  (Mr. Mason were you concerned that the government might actually do that?)
    • “Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed, as they are in almost every country in Europe.” – – Noah Webster  (Mr. Webster it sure sounds like you believe that the 2nd Amendment gives citizens the right to have firearms.)

     Let’s not stop with these men why don’t we consider the words of a President or two:

    •  “By calling attention to ‘a well-regulated militia,’ ‘the security of the nation,’ and the right of each citizen ‘to keep and bear arms,’ our founding fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy… The Second Amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic civilian-military relationships in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of his country. For that reason I believe the Second Amendment will always be important.” – – President John F. Kennedy

    • ”The great body of our citizens shoot less as times goes on. We should encourage rifle practice among schoolboys, and indeed among all classes, as well as in the military services by every means in our power. Thus, and not otherwise, may we be able to assist in preserving peace in the world… The first step – in the direction of preparation to avert war if possible and to be fit for war if it should come – is to teach men to shoot!” – – President Theodore Roosevelt

    Now let’s consider some others including a liberal Democrat:

    • ”Certainly one of the chief guarantees of freedom under any government, no matter how popular and respected, is the right of citizens to keep and bear arms. … the right of citizens to bear arms is just one more guarantee against arbitrary government, and one more safeguard against a tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which historically has proved to be always possible.” – – Senator Hubert Humphrey
    • ”The tank, the B-52, the fighter-bomber, the state-controlled police and military are the weapons of dictatorship. The rifle is the weapon of democracy. If guns are outlawed, only the government will have guns. Only the police, the secret police, the military. The hired servants of our rulers. Only the government and a few outlaws. I intend to be among the outlaws.” – – Edward Abbey
    • ”The danger (where there is any) from armed citizens, is only to the ‘government’, not to ’society’; and as long as they have nothing to revenge in the government (which they cannot have while it is in their own hands) there are many advantages in their being accustomed to the use of arms, and no possible disadvantage.” – – Joel Barlow
    • ”If gun laws in fact worked, the sponsors of this type of legislation should have no difficulty drawing upon long lists of examples of crime rates reduced by such legislation.                  Notice to all liberals, progressives, socialists, and gun control advocates your arguments are ludicrous and doomed to result in failure and if you somehow are successful in disarming the law-abiding citizens of this great nation you will empower the criminal element in a way that will make our nation one of the most dangerous places on the planet.  If you are among the elite that can afford or are afforded the privilege of hiring an army of armed guards to protect you then you may be safe but the rest of the citizenry will be in grave jeopardy and it will be your fault. 

                 I do not intend to be a victim due to an Unconstitutional mandate by a rogue tyrannical regime.  I will stand on my God-given and Constitutional Rights so long as I draw breath.  I suggest that you re-read real history rather than the revisionist history that you want taught in our schools and touted from your bully pulpits through the government controlled media.  WE THE PEOPLE may put up more resistance than you anticipate.  One can only hope that the American people desire their liberty more than your token handouts.

    THE GLOSSARY FOR UNDERSTANDING OBAMA’S SPEECHS….

    It would be amusing if it were not so serious that one needs a “Left-wing Dictionary” and a “Glossary” to understand what Obama really means when he speaks.  His teleprompter tells him what to say and the blind just receive it like it is manna from heaven while some of us scratch our heads and question what he said and what he meant by what he said.  You see, there are those of us who not only listen to the words but observe the actions and as the old saying goes – “Actions speak louder than words.”

                 There are a number of terms and phrases that I want to get to but first I found it most interesting that David Plouffe, a top adviser to the President detailed the broad plan of Obama for the next painful four years of his reign.  He prefaced his assertions by saying that they would “follow the voters’ demands” that include GUN CONTROL, EDUCATION, and IMMIGRATION REFORM.  What?  Where did I miss that part of the election?  If the information I have is correct the voters did send him back for a 2nd term but there was not a MANDATE because had there been the House of Representatives would solidly be back in the hands of the Democrats, it is not.  So, something is missing in this interpretation of what the election meant and mandated.  He continued the suggestion that while Obama planned to attempt to work with Congress that he would use his powers to do what they want done.  His clear implication was that what they viewed as needs done was what they determined rather than the actual need.

                The polls indicate that 73% of Americans believe that Americans HAVE THE RIGHT to own guns.  But if we listen to the Obama crowd one would believe that the opposite is true.  91% believe that the 2nd Amendment of the United States Constitution guarantees the rights of Americans to own guns while only 6% believe it refers to state militia only.  But again Obama reverses this fact in his rhetoric.  Likewise 8 out of 10 Americans (83%) believe that the spending of the Federal Government is OUT OF CONTROL but per Obama the voters want MORE SPENDING NOT LESS.  Can he read?

                 Now let’s get to the meat of what my title suggests and consider some terms or phrases used by Obama, the Democrats, the media and ALL PROGRESSIVES and even a few RINOs:

    •  
    • COMPROMISE – – That simply means that a total concession and surrender by those in opposition to his views is compromise.  Compromise is not a two-way street it is a one-way avenue and if you do not concede you are a racist, bigot, hater of the poor, middle class, seniors, children, etc.
    •  
    • CIVILITY – – Again an easy one.  Civility means that those who oppose his or their views must play nice it does not mean that they reciprocate.  Oh no, their vilification, in their view, is justified because of the evilness of every conservative going back to the Founding Fathers.  Largely it means conservative white people but it is not limited to whites only for a person of the so-called “minority” who is conservative and expresses it receives even more hatred and character assignation.  It is okay for Obama to stir up “class envy,” “plays the race card,” and promote a non-existent “war on women” that the Republicans supposedly have engaged in.  It means that they can do or say anything but we can only BE NICE!
    •  
    • VOTER MANDATE – – Means whatever they want it to mean.  It has nothing to do with facts or results of elections but if they come out on the winning end of an election it was a MANDATE.  If the conservatives win it was a CALL FOR COMPROMISE and BIPARTISNSHIP.   They only see Obama’s re-election and dismiss the fact that the Republicans maintained control of the House, the polls, and the expressed desire of the American people to REDUCE THE DEBT and stop destroying the economy.
    •  
    • WORKING WITH CONGRESS – – Means if they will do what I tell them to do then I will work with them but if they don’t then I will bypass then “illegally” and use my Czars, various governmental agencies, Executive Orders, and Executive Authority to ENFORCE WHAT I WANT.  After all I am king or should be.  (I do believe that is his philosophy and mentality)
    •  
    • PROTECTING THE MIDDLE CLASS – – Means duping as many people as possible into believing his campaign rhetoric while finding a way to TAX US MORE and control more of our finances as well as our lives.  His actions are costing EVERY TAX PAYING AMERICAN more everywhere.  He has done more to hurt the middle class and small business than virtually any president in American history.
    •  
    • IMMIGRATION REFORM – – Means building up a larger voting base for his party and ignoring all laws and present regulations on LEGAL IMMIGRATION and forcing through what he wants.   It is a slap in the face to the thousands who have gone through the legal and lengthy process to come to this country legally and those who are still waiting in line following the law.  It is tantamount to going to the cemetery and issuing voter registration cards to the deceased.
    •  
    • HEALTH CARE – – Obamacare is an example of a Tyrannical Regime moving forward with their planned agenda.  This diabolical bill will ultimately destroy the Health Industry in America and those of us in the rank and file will be reduced to Health Care that is probably not as good as many third-world countries.  The elite in Washington will not suffer this fate only we of the “unwashed masses” as they view us.

                 America we are more than neck-deep in the proverbial creek and the level is rising.  Hip boots won’t do the trick because the feces poop, crap, etc. has risen and is rising beyond the point that we can keep our heads above it.  We are swimming in political refuse and unless there is IMMEDIATE ACTION on the part of Congress and WE THE PEOPLE we are going to drown in Obama’s new American Cesspool.

    AMERICA – DICTATORSHIP OR A FREE REPUBLIC?

    As of today I have officially altered my focus and will no longer be petitioning my elected officials in Washington, DC to do anything since they have demonstrated that they are not up to the task.  The House and Senate have repeatedly allowed this President who operates as a Dictator to bypass Congress, violate the Law and the Constitution and use Executive Authority/Order to impose his will upon America.  They could stop him but have chosen not to do so allowing him to effectively become a DICTATOR and therefore Congress has no reason to exist.  If Congress does not act then America will have become a Dictatorship due to Congressional Inaction.

     

                If that becomes reality then I will call for every member of the House and Senate to immediately resign and return to private/civilian life, lock the doors on the Legislative Branch of the government.  The same goes for the Supreme Court thereby shutting down the Judicial Branch of our Constitutional Government.  Barack Obama who is the current President, but I am sure would rather be called “His Highness” will continue to operate as a Dictator unless stopped by Congressional and Legal Action.  He is plunging this nation into a state where anyone desiring FREEDOM will have to make some very difficult choices in the very near future.

     

                I will turn my attention to the Governors and Attorney Generals of the various states and urge them to utilize the Constitutional provisions of the 10th Amendment and NULLIFICATION and thereby invalidate any action taken by this President contrary to the Constitution and if necessary join together in forming a New America.  That is a drastic call but one I see no other alternative to at this juncture.

     

                Barack Obama has declared that Congress is to unilaterally agree to his demands on raising the debt ceiling WITHOUT RESTRICTIONS, thus giving him a “blank check” to do whatever he chooses.  He cites his election as evidence that this is what the American people want.  However, many of those who voted for him have expressed concern about spending and want Congress to control and reduce the debt.  He does not see or acknowledge that.  He envisions himself as the Grand Potentate of this nation, feels he is above the Law, the Constitution, the Congress, the Courts, and the People.  THOSE ARE THE ACTIONS OF A DICTATOR.  His actions are no different from any Despot in any Tyrannical Regime anywhere on the planet or in history.

     

                He will detail 19 specific actions that he plans to take in his GUN GRAB and GUN BAN all violating the 2nd Amendment.  He will enact those by Executive Authority/Order bypassing the legal constitutional method prescribed by law.  If Congress does not STOP HIM then my initial assertion stands and they should IMMEDIATELY RESIGN and GO HOME.  They, by their inaction, will have NULLIFIED THE CONSTITUTION and TRASHED IT COMPLETELY.  I am more disturbed by their inaction that I am by his action because he is a Pathological Narcissist who is so ideologically driven that his actions are consistent with his beliefs..  He told us this would be his pathway to achieving his agenda.  So, like Hitler of Germany we had warning but Congress continues to sit on their hands and jockey for position in the Dictator’s inner circle while WE THE PEOPLE experience the robbery of our Rights, Freedoms, and Liberties.  I for one do not find that acceptable and so I turn my efforts to two sources:

     

    GOD – I will continue to pray that God raise up people who have the wisdom and courage to withstand this Tyrannical Assault on our nation and restore us not only as a Christian Nation but as a Free Nation.

     

    THE STATES – Where action is possible on a State by State basis to combat this assault on our Constitution and Freedoms by a would-be Dictator and his cronies.

     

    There are specific constitutional and legal ways for the passage of laws.  They must originate in Congress.  There are specific ways for enacting constitutional amendments.  The must first be passed by Congress then be ratified by the States.  NO PRESIDENT past or present has ever had or should have the legal or moral authority to do anything differently.  Barack Obama has gotten away with violating the law and the constitution so many times now that he knows that there is not enough backbone in Congress to stop him so he acts without any opposition making him a virtual dictator.

     

    America has transitioned from a Constitutional Republic to a Dictatorship with the 2nd term of Barack Obama accompanied by a Congress that does not have the intestinal fortitude to do their constitutional duty and STOP HIS TYRANNICAL ASSAULT ON OUR CONSTITUTION.  I realize that various groups will take this matter to court but with Congress demonstrating the unwillingness to act, it is likely that the Supreme Court will side with Obama and we will be left without representation in either of the branches designed as “Checks and Balances” to an over-reaching and tyrannical Executive Branch. 

     

    Those who supported him for the morsel of bread that he has tossed them will one day regret their actions because they will find that the morsel is not sufficient and there will be no money to continue their handouts.  This nation is already bankrupt and headed to economic collapse.  Obama’s policies, plans, and agenda will decimate our military’s ability to the point that we will not be able to defend ourselves against those powers that seek our complete destruction.  We will soon be under governance of the United Nations and Agenda 21 will be in full force in this once free nation.

     

    If we cannot get Congress to act, the Governors and State Attorney Generals to take the necessary action we will either find ourselves in bondage to a DICTATOR or we will have to follow the path that our Founding Fathers followed in securing our freedom.  I do not and am not calling for ARMED REBELLION or OVERTHROW of the Government but I am warning of where we are and what the result will be if we do not do everything in our power to MOVE INTO ACTION those who have the power to do something.

    So, at this point I see a lost nation because a large segment of the public has been deceived by a lie and a Congress that is so impotent that it cannot and will not act!

    OPEN LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT, SENATORS, AND CONGRESSMEN/WOMEN….

    Dear Mr. President, Honorable Senators and Congressmen/women:

    I wish to take a moment to address your renewed interest in disarming law-abiding American citizens in violation to our 2nd Amendment Rights.  You have targeted what you erroneously call “assault weapons” and used such a broad brush that you have virtually included everything except a colonial musket and a single shot firearm.  You somehow dismiss the 2nd Amendment Rights of the American people and some of you have made claims that it was only talking about the State Guard and muskets not modern-day firearms.  I would like to dispute that assertion.

    First, I do not own an AR-15 but do own some firearms on your list and I am an avid hunter, target shooter and sportsman as well as a husband and father who believes that I have the God-given and Constitutional right to protect and defend myself, my family, and my property.  Although when hunting I do not use high-capacity magazines I do find them suitable for home defense and in the exercise of the 2nd Amendment as the need may arise.  I have purchased my firearms legally, do not engage in the black market, or engage in any illegal activities.  I am a combat veteran having served in Vietnam in 1967 and am a patriotic American.  I honor the Constitution and I honor my God and the Bible.

    I urge you to notice the purpose of the founding fathers in including this amendment to the Constitution was to enable the citizens to form a militia in order to preserve our freedom should the government overreach its legitimate authority and become Tyrannical.  The idea that this only refers to a State Guard is ludicrous as virtually every citizen at that time hunted as a means of providing food, had to battle hostile forces from time to time, and were well versed in the laws and rights for self-defense and protection of their homes, lives, family, and property.  The idea that this only referred to the firearms available at that time would be most absurd as it most certainly included the most modern weaponry with regard to small arms available to any invading force or standing army of the United States of America.  Clearly with that in mind it would be more than reasonable to declare that the 2nd Amendment protects our rights to own those firearms you call “assault-weapons” as a means of defense.  We already have laws regulating fully automatic firearms and need no additional laws.

    The idea that disarming law-abiding citizens will somehow make it more difficult for criminals and people mentally challenged to obtain weapons is a hollow argument that you and I know is not based in fact.  It gives the appearance of a desire to fully disarm the American people for a purpose one can only speculate and I will not venture into speculation but it is of grave concern.

    Therefore be advised that I believe my God-given inalienable and Constitutional Rights afford me the right to have, purchase, and use whatever firearm I deem suitable for the defense of my life, home, family, and property.  I use them within the current laws and am well-trained and proficient with all of them.  Additionally more people die from illegal and prescription drugs, intoxicated drivers, and automobile accidents, etc. than through gun violence.  This only further exposes your attempt as something other than protection of innocent lives. 

    You have no right constitutionally to know what firearms I have, how many rounds of ammunition I possess, and how often I actually shoot my firearms.  If I or anyone should break the law using a firearm, I fully support prosecuting them to the full extent of the law but I do not support banning firearms or any additional laws regarding firearms.  I consider this a move that could be deemed as a dangerous action by an out of control and over reactive federal government and ask that you cease and desist immediately and allow each state to exercise their 10th Amendment Right and each citizen to exercise their 2nd Amendment Right.

    COVENANT OR CONTRACT MENTALITY…..

                There was a time when these two would have almost been the same but that is not the case in the 21st Century and has not been for a long time.  When I was a  young lad growing up my parents and grandparents taught us that your word and a handshake was a guarantee that you would fulfill whatever it was you had agreed to.  It did not need lawyers and reams of legal paperwork notarized and certified to be binding because you had given your word and sealed it with a handshake and that settled it as far as you were concerned.  You would never consider failing to fulfill your part of the agreement even if it was to your detriment to do so.  Your word was a representation of your character and your name was the most valued possession you had.  Truthfully, even in that generation there were unscrupulous individuals that were shysters and cheats who could not be trusted but for most people it was the normal and expected way of life and doing business. 

     

                 We had a small farm and one of the crops that we grew to sell was peas and dad would sell them by the bushel and had two prices.  One price if the individual picked their own and a slightly higher price if we picked them, and naturally we kids never thought the price was enough for us picking them.  Although Dad loved us and valued our labors he did not consider it an unreasonable expectation to send us to the field to pick peas for someone while he and they sat under the shade of the Sycamore trees beside the house drinking coffee or iced tea and chatting.  When we came in with the harvest he would frequently send us back to gather a few more peas because his bushel was “good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over.”  It was not a bushel it was at least a bushel and one-third to one-half more.  To him anything less would not have been honorable and I learned to appreciate his reasoning, especially after I became a Christian.  I have seen him refund money when someone would mention that some of the peas from a previous purchase were not 100% fully mature.  Often he and we knew that this complaint was nothing more than an attempt to get something for nothing but he never flinched and always went above and beyond in his business dealings.  He would say, “My reputation is worth more than a few dollars.”   He worked hard and gave more than a full day’s work for a day’s pay and expected the same from us.  Laziness was not tolerated and failure to keep your word was not excusable.

     

                 Today we see a CONTRACT as simply a piece of paper that has a negotiated arrangement that is only good until one side or the other decides that it needs to be altered.  I have always had a difficult time with that because of the way I was raised.  I have watched people break their contract because they decided that the other party benefited too much from the original agreement.  That should not, in my view, be a consideration because it was a negotiated agreement.  I have made deals with people before and realized that I would profit more than expected from the agreement and compensated the other party based on that in addition to the agreed contract because I considered it right not because I had to legally.  I have made deals and realized that I had grossly underestimated my costs and had some setbacks in the process and it resulted in me losing money in the deal but I did not complain nor try to renegotiate because I had made the deal and considered my word my bond.  Today that mentality is virtually non-existent for many.  This is true especially in the business, political, and sports worlds where contracts are virtually meaningless agreements broken with little thought of any sense of honor by either party.  As a minister I have watched the dissolution of marriages with almost no thought or remorse and often based on, “Well I grew tired of this or that.”

     

                 A CONTRACT can be defined as a “written or spoken agreement, especially one concerning employment, sales, or tenancy that is intended to be enforceable by law.”  Supposed synonyms are:  agreement, covenant, treaty, pact, or compact and I suggest that those are not appropriate.

     

                 A COVENANT is defined usually as “an agreement” but biblically a Covenant is far more than that especially a “Blood Covenant” which includes marriage.  Blood Covenants biblically could be defined as “a mutual understanding between two parties, each binding him/herself to the agreement, bond or pact and involves cutting the flesh.”  In the Old Testament the word “Beriyth” is used to describe a compact made by passing between pieces of flesh and is a “blood bond” from which the idea of “cutting the covenant” comes.  [Genesis 15:17; Jeremiah 34:18].  Covenants are made between men and between man and God.  In the New Testament two words are used:  “Distheke” which is a disposition, arrangement, testament or will.  “Suntithemai” which is to put together, place together, or to make arrangement and the purpose of a COVENANT was to establish an unbreakable bond, treaty, pact, or agreement between parties

     

     The Covenant always had:

     

     1.    The Words or Promises of the Covenant.  [The basis of the agreement]

     

             In this would be promises of blessing for keeping the covenant as well as promises or curses for breaking it.  The terms would be detailed and verbalized and there would be an “oath” or a “vow” – a solemn affirmation with an appeal to God to watch over the agreement and be the final judge and arbiter of the agreement.

    2.    The Blood of the Covenant.

     

            There were always sacrifices signifying that to break this covenant or agreement would result in death and could only be invalidated or death.  It was a signifying of the total involvement and investment of the individuals in the agreement.

    3.    The Seal of the Covenant.

     

            Very often would be a cutting of the flesh and at times gun powder or something of the like would be rubbed into the wound so that the scar would be forever noticeable and recognizable.  It was an identifying mark that one had “cut a covenant” and that they had bound their very lives to the fulfillment of that agreement.

     

                 Honestly we know almost nothing of that mentality in today’s world and our government has no thought of their Constitutional Covenant with the American people.  Their oath of office is virtually meaningless to them and there is no sense of obligation to keep it at all costs.  That is one of the reasons that we have such a mess politically in today’s world.  If every elected official recognized and acknowledged that when they take the “Oath of Office” to faithfully perform the duties of that position and uphold and honor the Constitution we would not be in the mess we are in today politically or economically.  Party distinction would be virtually unimportant and partisan politics and gamesmanship would be non-existent.  Those elected to office would truly be representatives of WE THE PEOPLE and the BEST GOOD of the nation and the people would be the top priority.  Instead we have a climate of cronyism, favoritism, corruption, and the insatiable desire and drive for power and position.

     

                 We have lost what our founders established and as far as I can see the old saying about used car salesmen applies to politicians – “You know they are lying when you see their lips moving.”  Honest Politician is deemed to be an oxymoron and that is a sad indictment on where we have declined as a people.  Many are crying out for a “Restored Constitutional America” but too many accept the modern Contract Mentality as normal instead of insisting on a Covenant Mentality in our dealings in the business, social, spiritual, and political arenas.  I will declare that UNTIL we come to the place that we fall on our faces before God and repent and demand and determine that we will not only be Covenant men and women who honor our Agreements we will NEVER see the America we so desire.  Will we ever see it? I do not know but if we do not strive for it we will leave a legacy for those who follow us that will go deeper and deeper into an amoral state that can only produce destruction and decay.

     

                 I have been wordy and possibly failed to communicate the deep cry of my heart to see men and women return to a mentality where we “honor our word” with one another, as a nation, and a people.  I want to see a society where the normal thing is people doing, the “right thing” even if it does not give them a particular edge or windfall profit.  I believe that this would give us a platform for “limited government”, a “massive reduction in violence”, and a “new civility” that would not only get the attention of the rest of the world but would produce a prosperity and growth in new innovations that many of the plagues that terrorize our world would be addressed in a significant way.  We can see “healing come to our land” but that healing must first begin in each of us.

     

                 If this resonates with you then all I ask is that you consider taking steps personally that will insure that you live as a Covenant Person who keeps their Contracts and Agreements – – KEEP YOUR WORD!  If enough of us demonstrate that lifestyle and insist on it from politicians, in business, socially, relationally, and spiritually we will see America the Beautiful returned to prominence and the Light of God will break through the dark clouds of despair that now enshroud this world producing a new and renewed hope that will be life changing.

    REALLY BOB COSTAS, REALLY?

                I was appalled by Bob Costas on Sunday evening in his rant over the tragic situation in Kansas City where a murder and suicide took place leaving a 3 month old little girl an orphan.  He used the tragedy and crime as a springboard for the left-wing agenda to destroy our 2nd Amendment Rights and disarm American citizens.  It is not a new example of opportunistic use of a crisis or tragedy to put forth a political agenda.  This was clearly expressed by the Obama administration early on when Mr. Rahm Emanuel declared, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.”  Forget the people hurt, the real issues just use it to gain political mileage for your radical agenda!  I WAS APPALLED!

     

                Mr. Costas people having guns are not the problem people are the problem.  In this particular instance there are so many factors, many of which have yet to surface that played a major role in this tragedy and not one of them involve the need to DISARM LAW ABIDING AMERICAN CITIZENS.  I admit I have never been a Costas fan but this pushed me over the edge with regard to watching him in the future.  Realizing the network that employs him, I am not the least bit surprised by this but it was the wrong time and the wrong place for the argument.  I disagree with the argument to begin with but if someone wants to broach it I have no problem with that but to take advantage of the situations sensitivity as well as the timing and the pain being endured not only by the families but possibly thousands of other people it was inappropriate.

                 Mr. Costas, we already know that Mr. Belcher had some serious problems prior to this incident.  He and his girlfriend, the mother of his baby were having problems and had been for some time.  According to reports they argued frequently and sometimes it got very tense.  According to statistics of the over 1700 players in the NFL about 2% of them have faced abuse or violence charges.  But, nobody is blamingfootball for this, head injuries, the medication he was taking, drinking, and a host of other things.  Oh no, they blame the evil gun.  Forget the fact that, if we are honest, this was a MURDER then a SUICIDE and so the issue was not the gun it was the individual.  I don’t know and don’t pretend to know what mental, physical or emotional issues he might have been having.  Recently in Arizona a man killed two family members with a Crossbow and then himself with a knife but nobody suggested that we ban bows, arrows, and knives.  There have been multiple NFL players involved in situations where intoxication while driving was the problem but nobody blamed the car or the alcohol distiller for the problem.  When thousands of teenagers are killed in Chicago and other cities across this nation over things as trivial as loud music nobody is blaming the “Gangsta Rap” with its violent lyrics or the home environment where the teen lives in a single parent home where the father has multiple children with multiple women and bails leaving the mother to do the best she can nobody is blaming personal responsibility they want to blame the evil gun.  THE GUN IS NOT THE PROBLEM PEOPLE ARE!

                 Saying that guns do not keep us safe from government is a broad generalization that won’t hold water.  While I am willing to concede that my guns might not keep a rogue government from inflicting harm if it so chooses, it will protect my family if a thug breaks into my home at 2 A.M. to do whatever it is he or she has in mind.  My guns will protect me if I am in a public setting and a lunatic with a gun decides to shoot everybody in the place.  I just might be able to save my life and the lives of countless others because I have a license to carry a firearm and do.  I am well-trained and know how to control my emotions so that it would be inconceivable that I would allow any situation to escalate by my actions that would lead to violence. 

                 If I place my 9mm on your coffee table how long will it be before that gun gets up and shoots someone?  IT NEVER WILL!  There is always a loose cannon at the end of the gun to cause that problem.  Recently I read that a man took a piece of rope and strangled his wife and two children but didn’t hear anybody wanting to ban rope.  A mother in Texas drowned her children in the bathtub but I didn’t hear cries to ban water and bathtubs.  I’ve known of situations where people took prescription medication to not only take their own lives but cases where they used it to take the life of another but didn’t hear anybody suggesting that we ban all prescription medication, some of which is needed to keep their personality disorders in check so that they are somewhat functional.

                 The argument that because of this incident or any incident like it suggests that we need to ban all guns is more than ludicrous it is a direct assault on the 2nd Amendment and lacks reason and sensibility.  If you are a gun control activist and sympathetic with this type of action and decide to disassociate with me I’m sorry to see you go but I am adamant about my belief in this and will not change.  You can pass all the gun bans you want yet people lacking sensibility and rationality as well as criminals will find a way to get a gun or something else to commit their crime.  YOU WILL NOT SAVE LIVES, in fact you will cost them.  Statistics support my argument because in the states that allow concealed and even open carry there is less gun violence than in those with strict gun bans such as Washington DC and other parts of this nation.

                 Mr. Costa, Mr. Gun Running Attorney General, Mr. President, and every progressive, socialist, liberal that wants to ban guns I say to you – GET THE FACTS!  There is little doubt that someone in Congress was waiting on this because before this man’s body was cold there was something on the floor to BAN GUNS.   No doubt it had been prewritten and they were just waiting on something to allow them to float this idea again.  It is a continual barrage and assault on every law-abiding, constitution believing American and the first step in a Tyrant being able to take over is to “disarm the citizens.”  I’m afraid I have to agree with the words of Charlton Heston on this, “Out of my cold dead hands Mr. President.”  I do not intend to leave my family unprotected in the face of the level of depravity that our society has descended.

                 We MUST bombard our elected officials and do everything in our power to protect our God-given and Constitutional Rights if we want to maintain any semblance of being a Free Nation.  I urge you to continually stay in contact with your elected officials even if they are strong proponents of this type of measure and let them know that you are strongly opposed to the banning of our right to keep and bear arms.
