Some have charged that Donald John Trump, the 45^th President of these United States is an Autocrat and a would be, Tyrant Dictator.  Those same people ignored the usurping of Constitutional Power by Barack Hussein Obama when he used his ‘pen and phone’ repeatedly to bypass Congress, sidestep the Constitution, and ignore the Courts.  Could that be because his ideological position was the same as those, crying foul?  Could it be that his proposed agenda of ‘fundamentally transforming America’ was also their desire?  Could it be that events, actions, and inaction by Congress long before Obama or Trump created the current political conundrum?

First, Donald Trump is not an Autocrat.  He does not have absolute power.  He may be domineering, impulsive, demanding, and value loyalty so greatly that he is difficult to serve under.  He may be a lot of things that people accuse him of regarding his personality or character but an Autocrat he is not.  He is not Hitler and no comparison can be made that would justify such an allegation.  He may have developed a sense of worth that causes him to believe that whatever he does is right.  The same could be said of Barack Obama and many other presidents.  None of those are issues that justify the claims that he is mentally unfit and unstable.  None of those claims justify the hatred directed toward him and anyone who supports him.

But that is not the purpose of what I am writing.  My concern is what or how future presidents will conduct themselves regarding the Constitution, the Law, and governing.  Spanish businessman Juan Carlos Marino Perez Carreno said, “If you look at Trump in America and Bolsonaro in Brazil, you see that people want politicians that do what they promise.”  He was explaining to the New York Times the reason for the rise of Spain’s first far-right party since the end of the Franco dictatorship in 1975.  Action, not words have become something that is very desirable for many in America after decades of inaction and ineptitude in Washington.

When Obama took action that could only be viewed a usurping of the Power of Congress including the precious ‘power of the purse’ there was not so much as a whimper from the Left.  However, with Trump’s National Emergency and intent to use funds not specifically allocated to the Wall for National Defense his action became the worst event ever in American history.  They are charging that he is ‘shredding the Constitution’, a document neither they or the former president seemed to care about.  The Left is crying foul claiming that Trump’s actions violate the system of ‘checks and balances’ but does it?  They claim that he is acting like an Autocrat, an Imperial Dictator, and a most high potentate in violation of our American Constitution.

If you do a quick check you will discover that the approval rating of Congress is below that of the president.  Congress has, over time, become the least esteemed branch of government.  That is not because of Trump’s actions or his charges of inaction or obstructionism on their part.  No, it is their own doing and it did not suddenly occur under President Trump or President Obama or even George W. Bush.  It happened long before any of them ascended to the position of President and occupied the Oval Office. 

Let me borrow some thoughts from Pat Buchanan’s recent article. It is an interesting journey to view how history viewed various president’s actions.  Some of them far more dramatic than anything Mr. Trump has done.  Thomas Jefferson jumped on Napoleon’s surprise offer to sell vast Louisiana territory for $15 million.  Even Jefferson questioned whether he had the constitutional authority to do so, but it was the right decision and history has validated that action.  Andrew Jackson defiantly ignored the ruling against him by John Marshall’s Supreme Court.  He said, “John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!”  I see that kind of attitude more akin to Barack Obama than Donald Trump. 

Abraham Lincoln arrested Maryland legislators to prevent a secessionist-minded legislature from meeting.  He violated the habeas corpus rights of thousands and ordered Chief Justice Roger Taney arrested, shut down newspapers, and in January 1863, declared that all slaves in the states still in rebellion free.  Did he have the Constitutional authority to do any of that?  What has Trump done to compare with that?

President Theodore Roosevelt, to enable him to build the Panama Canal joined forces with rebels to take the province from Columbia.  What about FDR’s corralling some 110,000 Japanese, 75,000 of them U.S. citizens into detention camps during WWII?  How about Harry Truman who, without Congressional authorization, ordered U.S. troops into South Korea in 1950 to resist the invasion by North Korea, calling it a police action?  Bill Clinton, against the decision of the House of Representatives, ordered troops into Serbia in 1998 and began a two and one-half month bombing barrage until the province of Kosovo was yielded. 

I am not trying to defend or decry any of those actions, though I have strong opinions what I am saying is that Congress has failed repeatedly to a branch of government that exercises its power in ‘checks and balances.’  When any branch of government cedes its legitimate constitutional authority to another branch it loses that power and authority.  Our Constitution affords Congress the authority to ‘regulate commerce with foreign nations’ but that authority was ceded to the Executive branch long ago.  They simply vote “Yea” or “Nay” on whatever the White House, any White House negotiates as a treaty. 

We dare not overlook the ceding of their authority to ‘coin money’ to the Federal Reserve.  Their power to ‘declare war’ has been ignored by presidents for decades and I would contend since Truman if not before.  President Trump’s declaration of a National Emergency falls within the scope of the powers given the President by Congress in the National Emergencies Act of 1976.  Congress even has the ‘big stick’ of the Constitution to corral a runaway and rogue Supreme Court but they have never used it and likely will not. 

America wants and needs Action!  We do not need any more politicians that are “all foam but no beer”.  Not to be crude but a friend of mine said, “Congress is about as useful as tits on a boar hog.”  That is not a totally inaccurate depiction.  America must find a way to throw off the restraints and chains of what has transpired in what is largely a two-party system of politics.  When partisan wrangling and positioning takes precedence over the ‘best good’ for America those politicians are useless.  No, those politicians are the problem!

I am concerned that in the future, both Republican and Democrat presidents will view our past few decades as an invitation to act as Autocrats.  While I applaud positive action, I am deeply concerned when any president bypasses Congress and/or the Courts and does whatever he or she desires or believes is best.  I had those concerns with Barack Obama was in office and I had them when every president of my lifetime did things arbitrarily without Congress and the Courts.  However, in the previous administration, the president told us that if Congress did not do what he wanted, He would go it alone!  That has opened a door that must be closed.  Not closed necessarily by legislation but by the Spirit of Freedom in the American people.  It is time that we send the majority of those in DC home and replace them with people who both honor and are willing to defend the Constitution.

I am not specifically speaking of the United Nations, the Globalist, and the New World Order advocates and adherents, but another danger that is very real and incredibly nefarious and threateningly dangerous.  That to which I am referring is the push, plan, and desire of achieving Shariadom in America.  I know that is a social media taboo to speak of Islam in anything other than glowing acceptance and tolerance, but I must say what I see and sound a warning.  I suggest that if we continue the pathway opened wide under former President Barack Obama we will see this become a significant reality in America.

Before you cry foul and say that I am simply being an alarmist and that America will never allow Sharia Law to become the norm or even acceptable you might want to look around you in modern America.  You might want to examine some of the Muslim or Islamic organizations that have as their tenets and platform exactly what I am describing.  You might want to check out some of our major cities that now have Sharia Compliant Zones where our American Law Enforcement will not patrol.  You might want to examine the teaching of the Koran and the many Imams who have called for a fatwa and jihad in America and the West.  If you still believe me to be an alarmist after that, that is your choice.

There is an organization called the Assembly of Jurists in America (AMJA) which is part of the international network of Muslim scholars who preach, teach, and demand that Sharia Law as a governmental system is superior to democracy or our Republican system of government.  Islam, if you view it from their teachings, is more than a religious system or order it is a political or governmental system as well.  There are many Muslim organizations which have become very involved in politics in America.  They are not satisfied with preaching in the mosques they want to have a national platform in Congress, and they are gaining inroads at an alarming rate.

The Council of Islamic Relations (CAIR) calls itself a “Muslim civil rights organization” solely focused on an Islamic view of the world.  They care not one wit about anyone else but Muslims.  The rest of us, to them, are infidels and must either be annihilated or pressed into servitude.  In 2015 a new organization was formed that is, in my view, quite dangerous, well organized, and well-funded.  The JETPAC or Justice, Education and Technology Policy Advocacy Center encourages all American Muslims to become devotedly involved and invested in politics on a local level.  That’s where they can gain a foothold and launch their national platform with far more efficiency and ease than trying to start at the top.  MPower Change is committed to creating a political platform based on Muslim issues and organizing around it.  The Politically Correct push in America demands that we accommodate and tolerate them.  We do so to our own hurt.

Each of those groups is affiliated with the dangerous Muslim Brotherhood and their stated goal is the implementation of Sharia Law.  They publicly say that is not their intent, but their mission statements, stated beliefs, and calls throughout the world if Islam is diametrically opposite to their assurances.  They want to replace our Republican Democracy or Representative Democracy with Sharia Law and thereby impose their religious governance on all Americans and ultimately the world.

Many of those scholars involved in these organizations attended Egypt’s Al-Azhar University, the world’s highest academy of Islamic learning and interpreter of the definitive sharia text – The Reliance of the Traveller.  There are over 100 top Muslim leaders who are members of the AMJA and Imams in over 3,000 mosques in America look to them for guidance in their operations as mosques and political activity.  The group’s name in Arabic, “The Group of Sharia Specialists in America” reveals their true purpose.  No matter what they say publicly in media soundbites their purpose is in their name and written agendas.

They are pushing for Muslims in America to follow the comprehensive, sharia-compliant fatwas they have issued.  The AMJA possesses authority to provide legal rulings for the worldwide Islamic community and keep Muslims in America connected to the Muslim Brotherhood pushing for sharia compliance.  One fatwa instructs Muslim judges serving in non-Muslim countries to judge by Sharia “as much as possible, even if by ruse.”  If that does not get your attention, what will?

The AMJA was deeply disturbed over the election of Donald Trump in 2016 and issued a Road-map for Muslims to defend Islam using the American Constitutional Rights to hide their true purposes.  They cited three specific Trump administration actions they were concerned about:  The executive order barring entry to those from ‘countries of concern’, namely, Iraq, Syria, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Yemen.  They were incensed over Trump’s support for a Congressional bill to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign terrorist organization.  The third thing that was possibly the most infuriating to them was the moving of the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem and recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.   In their Road-map there are veiled and some not so veiled threats to American citizens.  They are serious, and we must be as well.

In 1993, Ibrahim Hooper, CAIR spokesman, and co-founder stated that he and they want the United States of America to be governed by Islamic law in the future. In 2003, he admitted that if Muslims became a majority in America, they would likely seek to replace the Constitution with Sharia.  The newer Muslim organizations are echoing the sentiments of CAIR, the Muslim Brotherhood, and AMJA positions.

In 2018 we saw a marked increase in Muslim participation in our American elections.  Research and exit polls indicated that 78% of the Muslim vote went to Democrats in the mid-term elections.  Another block vote that the Leftist can count on, but this block is as dangerous for them as for those on the Right.  The Islamic vote is not designed to advance the cause or ideological position of the New Democratic Socialists Party but to use them as a vehicle to gain control and have a voice in national politics.

Americans we have watched the Muslim Brotherhood for three generations advance their ideological, political, and religious agendas.  They have been patient, dedicated, and fully invested in the pursuit of their purposes.  Now, it seems their work is bearing fruit and our Political Correctness and the insane insistence that we tolerate anything and everything ignoring the realities easily seen is going to bring great harm to America and Americans who are not Muslim and do now want Sharia law.  They are not in a position to take over and there would be an all-out blood shedding war, but they are gaining power and taking little segments of land and society and as America turns more to the Left and Socialism they gain power and find new doors to walk through.  YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

The ‘Cast of Characters’ label is, in my view, appropriate considering the list of Democratic hopefuls running for POTUS in 2020.  The list is long and growing, but the one theme in all of them is their embracing of the toxic liberalism of the Democratic Party.  Each of them is a strong advocate of ‘Climate Change’ being man-made and public enemy number one.  Virtually of them are advocates of Socialism or the New Socialism of the Democratic Party.  Virtually all of them have signed on to the New Green Deal advanced by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other leftists.  All of them downplay the border crisis and are opposed to a wall and securing our borders against the invading hordes of illegals who ignore our laws and seek the ‘freebies’ being advanced.  That, in my view, is justification for calling them a ‘Cast of Characters.’

The field includes such names as Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Julian Castro, Robert Francis O’Rourke, John Hickenlooper, Amy Klobuchar, Corey Booker, Kamala Harris, John Delaney, Kirsten Gillibrand, Richard, Ojeda, Tulsi Gabbard, other potential entrants.  Stacey Abrams has suggested she might run after losing her bid in Georgia to become Governor.  Eric Holder’s name has been tossed around and there is the never dying desire of Hillary Clinton to become President.  John Kerry is toying with the idea of running.  There are names such as Michael Bennet, Sherrod Brown, Bob Casey, Jeff Merkley, Eric Swalwell, Steve Bullock, Jay Inslee, Terry McAuliffe, Landreau, Andrew Gillum, Michael Bloomberg, Pete Buttigieg, Eric Garcetti, Andrew Yang, Seth Moulton, Tim Ryan, Marianne Williamson, Bill de Blasio, and Howard Schultz. 

I can’t wait to see how they handle the Democratic debates with that potential list and the additions that will have entered the race by the time of the first debate.  Bernie Sanders sanctimoniously said, “If it turns out that I am the best candidate to beat Donald Trump, then I will probably run.”  Hey, Bernie, you have been running since you lost to Hillary, so give it a rest.  You know that you have a following of Socialist and those in a quest for the ‘freebies’ that you suggest. 

Former Colorado Governor, John Hickenlooper made the audacious claim, “I’m running for president because we need dreamers in Washington, but we also need to get things done,” Hickenlooper announced in a campaign video. “I’ve proven again and again I can bring people together to produce the progressive change Washington has failed to deliver.”  Well, hallelujah another savior is coming to save us from the good that has been done under the current president and return us to the harm done by the former president. 

Then Amy Klobuchar, the Democrat Senator from Minnesota said, “For every American, I’m running for you.”  This one who has served in the Senate since 2007, told a crowd. “And I promise you this: As your president, I will look you in the eye. I will tell you what I think. I will focus on getting things done. That’s what I’ve done my whole life. And no matter what, I’ll lead from the heart.”   Wow!  Now, I do have the warm fuzzies.  Utopia is here and a three-term Senator that has stood in the way of America’s progress is our answer.  Enlightenment is such a wonderful thing.

Senator Spartacus, Cory Booker the Democrat Senator from New Jersey see race in everything.  His self-inflating declaration was, “I believe that we can build a country where no one is forgotten, no one is left behind; where parents can put food on the table; where there are good-paying jobs with good benefits in every neighborhood; where our criminal justice system keeps us safe, instead of shuffling more children into cages and coffins; where we see the faces of our leaders on television and feel pride, not shame.”  Senator Booker, that is the country that we are returning to under this President and the country that you and your devotees have been standing in opposition to.  But alas, I’m just a patriotic American who served in Vietnam, and loves my Freedom, so what could I know?

Then there is Senator Kamala Harris, the I slept my way to the top Senator from California who envisions herself as the savior of all mankind, womankind, and the thousands of genders the Democrats insist we must recognize.  Next, we have Senator Pocahontas, Elizabeth Warren who declared, “This is the fight of our lives. The fight to build an America where dreams are possible, an America that works for everyone. I am in that fight all the way,” she told supporters in Lawrence, Mass. “And that is why I stand here today: to declare that I am a candidate for President of the United States of America.”  She went on to say that Donald Trump was the latest and most extreme symptom of what’s gone wrong in America.  No, Senator you and those of your ilk are.

I have not addressed the long laundry list of other candidates and will conclude with Mighty Mouse, the windbag himself rushing to save the day, Robert Francis ‘Beto’ O’Rourke.  I don’t know if any candidate in the field is more self-serving and filled with self than this candidate.  He is one of the new darlings of the Left and has declared that he would tear down the existing walls on the southern border if he could.  He has endorsed the New Green Deal, is in favor of higher taxes, against securing the border and claims that his campaign will be a positive one like it was in Texas.  Wait?  How many attack ads with outright lies did he have in Texas?  There were so many that it would be impossible to count.

Even a liberal paper from Austin, Texas did some fact checking on O’Rourke and had to acknowledge that the connection to his rich father-in-law, the real estate developer and the bankrolling of a Super PAC to buy O’Rourke a seat in Congress were not false and, in their attempt, to exonerate him exposed other connections to huge sums of funds coming in from sources that could be questionable. 

The charges of his laboring for his father-in-law as a member of the City Counsel in El Paso, in the bulldozing of a poor Hispanic neighborhood to abet rich developers including his father-in-law were largely true.  His sexist history and remarks while in college were true.  His DUI and accident with him attempting to leave the scene and lying on the campaign trail were true.  Mr. O’Rourke, sir you speak with a forked-tongue and appear willing to say or do anything to advance your position.  But, alas, you are on the Cover of Vanity Fair saying, “I’m Just Born to Do This,” referring to running for president or I guess any political office.  But, we should all be grateful that he is sacrificing to save us from ourselves, right?

Yes, I am being sarcastic.  However, I am deeply concerned about 2020 because of the grave threat to our Freedom and our Constitutional Republic.  If we allow any of this ‘Cast of Characters’ to occupy the White House, we will rue the day and America will be forever changed.  That change will not be for the good but will plunge us deeper into the abyss of darkness the toxicity of liberalism offers.  Please, wake up America and help us save the Republic from the planned destruction of Toxic Liberalism and Socialism.

What contrast?  Between the New Democratic Party and the present Republican Party.  If the GOP fails to put the Leftist Extremism on trial they deserve to get shellacked, which they likely will based on past history of ineptitude and cowardice.  I believe that the America people, if they are truly informed as to the differences, will reject the Socialism of the Left and while they may not fully embrace the platform of the Right, they will vote no on the Left.  Will that happen?  Will the GOP put the New Socialist Democratic Party’s Extremism on trial?  Time will tell, but if history is an indicator, most will not.  That being said, I believe that Donald Trump will unless his advisers convince him to take a different path.  That would be tragic.

The president’s approval ratings are rising and a few weeks ago it reached 52% in the Rasmussen poll.  That is so mind-numbing to the Leftist and the Main Stream Media they are going even deeper into the deep end of the pool.  They are not moving to the center but farther and farther to the Left embracing full-blown Socialism.  They have experienced success in their ‘freebies’ programs and have bought votes for so many years they believe they can trample on the economy of even the left-leaning working class and get away with it.  That must be exposed, and we need GOP candidates who are capable and willing to articulate and accentuate the differences between the two ideologies and platforms. 

The Democrats have gift-wrapped a win for conservatism and constitutionalism if the GOP will highlight the extremism of the New Democratic Socialist on abortion, immigration, taxes, and climate change.  Most people that I talk to, liberal and conservative, are troubled over the plan and proposal advanced by the Virginia Governor that can be called nothing less than infanticide.  They are troubled over the cheering of the New York Legislature and activist over the late-late-late term abortion (up until the moment of birth) legislation passed.  They are troubled over reports about the activities of Planned Parenthood harvesting body parts of aborted fetuses. 

Although a Marist Poll indicated that 55% of Americans identify as “pro-choice” only 25% of those polled condone abortion at any time during pregnancy.  Late term abortion is not a path that most Americans want us to pursue.  The inherent threat in the diminishing of the value of that life in the womb is what other lives will be deemed without value and open the door to genocide of epic proportions in America.  When will we someday understand the dangers and the moral failings of the direction of the New Democratic Party?

Immigration is an easy issue to show the extremism of the Left and highlight the dangers to Americans physically and economically.  It is easy to illustrate, with visual aids and factual data the dangers in the influx of drugs, human trafficking, the sex trafficking, the potential terrorism, health concerns, and more coming across our southern border.  It is easy to demonstrate with factual data and reports from other nations where walls are in place the benefit and need for a Secure Border.  It is easy to speak of the economic drain on our economy and not speak metaphorically but factually.  It is easy to speak to the dangers of communicable diseases being reintroduced to our society.  It is easy to identify the gangs, drug cartels, and the coyote activity which includes human and sex trafficking.  Don’t blow this Republicans, America is depending on you.

The matter of taxes should be a no-brainer for all Americans but since about 50% pay Zero Taxes, it is not.  The theory of Socialism looks good on paper but when everyone realizes that there is a limit to other people’s money that can be confiscated it begins to fall apart.  When one realizes that not only do the Tax Rates proposed by the Democrats (70-90%) results in less money for ‘freebies’, forces the increase of the national debt and deficit, and ultimately results in incredible loss of freedom.  Everything that the government subsidizes it controls and if it subsidizes people it also demands a certain level of control over those people. 

The New Green Deal, the new darling of the Socialist Democrats Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez that has 67 endorsers in the House and 11 in the Senate is a direct threat to our very existence.  It is more than a threat to our economy but if implemented and it will be if the Democrats keep the House, regain the Senate, and win the White House in 2020.  If that plan were to become the law and actually achieved, it would result in the destruction of life on the planet.  Plants and people cannot survive with Zero CO2 and the incredibly high cost of the alternative sources of ‘green energy’ makes it prohibitive.  My friend Jack Niewold recently posted an article on Facebook that examined the viability and cost effectiveness of Nuclear Energy and I believe it is an option we should carefully consider before anyone summarily rejects it.  We have possibilities but the path of the “AOC -Green Plan” is not the right course.

You may hate big oil and believe that fossil fuels are destroying our climate and world, but you do not have factual data to back you up on the destruction part of that equation.  Yes, big oil like big anything wants its rich and sometimes disproportionate piece of the pie.  If we allow envy and distrust of anyone and everyone who has achieved economic success to blind us to the benefits of what they produce, we all lose.  If you are comfortable with reverting to the 1800’s style of living, then embrace the New Green Deal.  I believe this is part of a much larger plan by globalist to enact their so-called Sustainable Development Plan entwined in the United Nation’s Agenda 21.  Just saying that no doubt causes some to turn me off as a conspiracy theorist or alarmist, but I urge you to research and THINK!  Please use reason and logic and think the proposal through to the possible conclusions and you will likely become as alarmed as I.

America, I love our nation and am thankful every day that God allowed me to be born here.  I treasure the wisdom and foresight of our Founding Fathers and the Framers of our Constitution.  I appreciate the Freedom and Liberty we have known and should continue to know in our Republic.  However, I am deeply concerned about the direction of politics today and the extremism of the New Democratic Party and too many RINOs on the GOP side of the aisle.  Our Freedoms and Liberties are the targets of this new push and if we fail to get behind the candidates who will stand against this plan we will allow our nation to suffer irreparable damage.  I cannot sit silent and pray that God will help us to wake up before it is too late.

I can hear someone say, “We just finished the 2016 and 2018 elections and already we are in the 2020 campaigns, can’t we have a break?”  The answer in America is NO!  We have allowed our political cycles to become endless and although we get brief respites from the actual campaign trail activities we are never far from campaign positioning and jockeying.  Simply put, in America, we must endure Endless Political Campaigning. 

I’ve had people ask me, “Why do you, a preacher, involve yourself in politics?”  I’ve had well-meaning and sincere believers tell me that my time is wasted in politics and what I should do is solely focus on the Bible, preaching and teaching.  I would love to do that, but the reality of today’s American political tumult keeps dragging me back seeing a need to “sound the alarm” when many are opting to remain silent.  I don’t like politics, but it is a way of life in America and in order to preserve Liberty and Freedom for my children and grandchildren I find that, for my sense of duty and responsibility, I must speak up and speak out. 

One of the many reasons that I speak out and write is because of the sleaziness of today’s politicians and activist and sycophants.  We have all witnessed the hijacking of words and the twisting of meanings.  It has been done by various sectors of our society but nowhere more evident and destructive than in politics, especially the politics of liberalism.  George Orwell was correct when he said, “control the language and you control the people.”  That could be applied to the political argument and voiced as, “control the language and you control the argument.”

There are so many examples it requires no citing of numerous examples but when I hear the Leftists twist language and use politically correct speech I feel frustration.  But, when I hear some on the Right who are supposedly conservatives and constitutionalist using Leftist terms I cringe.  When I hear conservatives calling things like Medicare and Medicaid entitlements, I feel a sense of anger welling up inside my being.  We have allowed the Leftists to commandeer the language and largely put conservatives on the defensive.  The Main Stream Media has joined them as have the Hollywood elitist and millions are parroting the terms as valid. 

I read in Orwell’s writings of a story where he illustrated how easily language controls people.  He referred to a Chinese woman who said that in her native dialect there was no equivalent word for privacy.  Privacy was a concept foreign to her parents and that privacy did not exist in her parent’s home.  After living in America a few years, the thought of returning to China where there was no privacy was maddening her.  There was no lock on her bedroom door and when she placed a table in front of the door to gain some privacy it sent her mother into an unhinged rage and accused the daughter of being unloving and claimed that America had ruined her. 

If we lose the language we will lose control and the process of brainwashing will achieve its fullest expression.  We have witnessed that in our public schools and institutions of higher learning for at least two if not three generations.  The word “Entitlement” is an example and a word that has come to produce incredible angst in my heart when I hear it used.  In its origination, it was a very good and useful word but today it is anything but.  It has been so distorted and corrupted by the Leftists that people have been captured, captivated, and enslaved by Liberalism. 

The word, in its origin and used correctly conveys right, proper, moral, and legal ownership of something.  That is not how it is used today.  I believe that Orwell was correct in his dire warnings that if we lose the language there is an incredible danger of the indoctrination by media propaganda causing people to lose their human qualities and become soul-less and mindless automatons.  That will transpire and to a measure already has in today’s America.  In that state, people become terrified of anything or anyone different from us.  It then becomes easy to dehumanize those peoples, nations, or religions and believe it good and right to annihilate them. 

He coined the word “Doublet-think” and argued that if you could double-think a concept you could hold two contradictory beliefs in your mind and heart simultaneously and accept them both as truth.  I believe that is what many Liberal Leftists and various politicians have done.  They genuinely believe that what they say is the truth and the concepts they advance are right and good.  They may contradict themselves repeatedly and see not corruption in this hypothesis because of double-thinking.

Liberals have hijacked the idea of ‘entitlement’ and redefined the word to include things like Medicaid, SNAP, and many other means-tested largess.  This enables them to bring programs like SNAP to the same level as military pensions.  That equates a property right earned by a veteran to a government handout or charity funded forcibly by our taxes.  That is not only dangerous it is diabolical!

If we allow this to continue we will see America fundamentally transformed into a Freedom-less Socialist nation.  We are becoming a dystopian society.  The word comes from the prefix “dys”, Greek for bad, abnormal, impaired, ill, and “Utopia”, a name coined by Thomas More (1516) for his imaginary island.  Utopia comes from the Latin meaning “nowhere.”  In the 19^th Century, John Stuart Mill put the two words together to describe a state in which the government creates conditions and quality of life that are dreadful and disastrous.  Aldous Huxley, Ray Bradbury, and Margaret Atwood used Mill’s word to describe possible future societies that would enslave people and use them for political ends.  Does that sound familiar?  Can you envision that anywhere today?  This is the mindset that bread the philosophy of Saul Alinsky in his “Rules for Radicals” that “the end justifies the means.”  Nothing matters but getting your way. 

Americans, Conservatives, Constitutionalist, Christians, and Patriots if we allow the Liberal Leftist to continue co-opting our language and transforming words for their purposes we will allow the destruction of our Republic.  Words have meaning, and we need to make them mean what they were originally intended to mean.

I realize that some may take offense to my position and contention.  But I believe that our Founding Fathers knew the true source of Freedom and Peace.  I believe that in their deliberations and labors to establish a viable government and a foundational document by which it would be governed the found it defined in a Bible verse.  That verse is Proverbs 14:34: “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace (reproach) to any people.”  I make no apologies in using the Bible to contend for the Free America established by our Founders. 

My faith in God and in what I believe is to be His and our Founder’s intent for America is strong enough to weather any contentious arguments and vitriol hurled at me by those who disagree.  I adamantly defend your right to disagree but would hope that rather than using vile language, and personal insults you would simply argue your position and accept the American and biblical precept and value that we have the right to believe what we believe.  It may cost us dearly, even eternally, but we have the right to make that choice for ourselves. 

I truly believe that our only hope as a nation or a republic is embodied in that Bible verse.  There is another verse in Proverbs that is applicable, Proverbs 29:2: “When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when a wicked man rules, people groan.” Some would take that and say that the reason for the unrest and resistance of today is the wicked man is Donald Trump (their words not mine).  They forget the things he has stood for in defending our Freedom of Religion and how Barack H. Obama did severe damage to our religious liberty while defending Islam and matters contrary to the Bible.  The wicked man should be understood as an ideology, a philosophy, an agenda and it appears is becoming a political party in today’s America. 

When I consider the possibility that Planned Parenthood has used means to keep the hearts of aborted babies beating in order to harvest organs, I am pierced through with both anger and sorrow.  When I consider the statements of Virginia Governor, Ralph Northam regarding the extermination of a baby born alive in a botched abortion, I am shaken to my core.  When I consider the move of the New York Legislature and the Governor of that state to allow abortion up to the moment of birth, my faith in humanity takes a severe blow. 

If one does not view that life in the womb a human being but simply a blob of tissue and no different than a tumor, there is no remorse in ripping it from its hope of life.  However, if you believe as do I and millions of others that that developing being in the womb is a human being, a human baby, you must be shaken deeply when you witness this insensitively regarding human life.  The factual reality that 60 million babies have been aborted since Roe v Wade is mind-boggling to this American.  That is one of the issues that draw me to the verse in Proverbs 14.

I don’t want to make this article totally about abortion, though it is a traumatizing subject for me.  In America today, it seems that we have, almost daily, plunged deeper into the cesspool of hate and the thirst for vengeance and retaliation become so strong some believe that anything goes.  A society that strips one segment of its inalienable and constitutional rights trying to force the rights of another group on everyone is not a righteous society.  It is a self-centered and self-serving society that opens the door and beckons chaos, anarchy, and tyranny to enter. 

Alexander Hamilton said, “People get the government they deserve.” That is a scathing indictment and I wish I could say it is unverifiable and untrue, but history suggests otherwise.  In True Liberty and Freedom there are responsibilities and I do not believe we can have Liberty or Freedom without a measure of Righteousness.  If a person becomes a criminal and ceases to live responsibly he will likely be arrested, tried, and sentenced to jail.  That person failed in the fulfillment and exercise of their responsibilities.  A baby has no responsibilities.  The infant does not have to concern himself/herself with paying the bills or earning a living.  Likewise, that infant has no liberties.  That child does not get to decide where he/she is going to sleep, eat, or what they will wear.  As that child grows older more and more responsibilities are given and more is expected.  With Liberty comes Responsibility and that includes maintaining a standard of moral rightness and recognition of the Rights of Others.

James Madison, the fourth President of the United States and the architect of the American Constitution expressed the view I am offering.  He said, “We have staked the whole future of American civilization not upon the power of government.  Far from it. We have staked the future upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves and to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God.”  Imagine that!  He would find that today’s politically correct world would reject his argument and ban the Ten Commandments from any public building or monument.

When the government takes over and subsidizes anything it must also control that which it subsidizes.  That has been witnessed in the world of education and that control of government has resulted in our educational system becoming one that bans all things biblical.  In place of the Ten Commandments and the Bible we have Values Clarification, Gender Neutral Arguments, the Welfare State’s values proclaimed as humane and compassionate, and a one-world government view promoted.  Hitler said in 1920, “Give me the minds of the children, and in one generation I will give you the Fascist super state.”  Today, in education the Bible is our and Humanism, Communism, Socialism, and a godless and gender-neutral philosophy is taught. 

At the risk of losing my entire audience, I suggest that this transpired because too many of those of us of Faith were silent too long and watched the erosion of our Freedom and the devaluing of human life and morality in America.  I blame those of us who served as pastor and preacher for taking the assumed road of spiritual superiority and leaving politics to the politicians.  I heard someone say that to say, “Don’t mix politics and religion” is like saying put fish in one barrel and salt in another. 

If our character does not permeate our society and the values of moral rightness as taught in the Bible do not invade our halls and edicts of government, we will decay and drift farther from our original moorings.  The liberties and freedoms sought and fought for by the founders will be lost or so tarnished and diminished they become unrecognizable.  The Church and all Christians have a responsibility to warn of wickedness and set the standard in caring for the needy, addressing the issues of the hurting, addicted, bound, and afflicted.  We must train up our children in the way they should go and give them godly and righteous examples to pattern their lives after.  We must take the lead in addressing the politics of politicians and reclaim our nation and restore the principles of liberty, freedom, and moral rightness.  Failure to do so will result in loss beyond most people’s ability to comprehend.

I believe in the American Constitution and staunchly defend the 1^st Amendment which not only includes Free Speech but Religious Liberty.  That being said, although I believe that everyone has the right to worship according to the dictate of their heart and the god of their belief system so long as they do that peaceably.  If the call for violence and assignations or murders of those who disagree with them, I do not support their right for that is a violation of both the law and the Right to Life of others who disagree. 

The Religion of Toxic Liberalism that has boiled over in hatred calling for violence, censorship, and murder of Conservatives and those of us who support the Constitution, and/or this President is dangerous if not illegal.  Do we really want to go down that road which can only end in chaos and anarchy with violence the norm?  Do we really want to embrace a society where no one can ever be offended or disagree with the Toxic Liberal Position or the Politically Correct determinations?  Do we really want to teach the upcoming generation that they can expect a world without problems or disagreement?  Do we want to teach them that it is permissible to riot and destroy person and property if there is a politician or person who offers a view other than theirs?  The answer is NO! 

Although the Toxic Liberalism of today’s Democratic Socialist and Extremist is deeply troubling and damaging to our Republic it is not the greatest danger to America.  There is a sect, group, ideology, or religion that poses a threat far beyond that of what is happening in politics in America today.  You may or may not agree and you may find my position offensive.  If you do, that is your choice, but if you support the right to have your opinion surely you support my right to have mine.

I believe the most formidable enemy of the Western World is the religion of Islam.  I know that is unallowable in our Politically Correct World, but I believe that for many reasons.  If you will give me an opportunity before you seek to have me incarcerated in some social media jail and call the PC Police I will explain my reasoning.  If you disagree that is your right and if you agree we must join forces to find ways to protect America and Americans from the savagery that is found in their book of religion and advocated by the so-called extremist of that religion. 

In 1870 there was a warning issued by European historian Hilaire Belloc that I want you to hear.  He said, “Millions of modern people of the white civilization — that is, the civilization of Europe and America — have forgotten all about Islam. They have never come in contact with it. They take for granted that it is decaying, and that, anyway, it is just a foreign religion which will not concern them. It is, as a fact, the most formidable and persistent enemy which our civilization has had and may at any moment become as large a menace in the future as it has been in the past” (from Belloc’s The Great Heresies, emphasis added).

According to Islamic history in 628 A.D. Muhammad, the founder of Islam called on Byzantine Emperor, Heraclius, the symbolic head of Christendom to ‘recant Christianity and embrace Islam.’  The Emperor refused, and jihad was launched as the Muslims invaded Christian Syria and defeated the imperial army.  That victory allowed Islam to sweep through the region in all directions and less than half a century later they had conquered Syria, Egypt, and most of North Africa.  They attempted to invade Europe, but the Walls of Constantinople prevented their advance.  For more than 200 years Europe was repeatedly attacked by both land and sea and hundreds of thousands of Christians were enslaved.  That ushered in what has been called the “Dark Ages.”

The Ottomans launched their efforts to scourge Christendom and although Muslims failed to capture new European lands the Barbary pirates and Crimean slavers captured and sold over 5 million Europeans.  In the late 1600’s, the Ottoman jihadists attempted to take Vienna and their failure marked the beginning of the end for their regime.  Thomas Jefferson and John Adams approached the Barbary ambassador and asked why they were enslaving Americans he told them that it was written in their Koran and instructed by their prophet that it was their right and duty to make war on all non-Muslims whenever they could and to make salves of all the prisoners they could take.  That is the Religion of Peace we are told to embrace and give tolerance. 

Historian Thomas Madden contends that Muslim armies conquered nearly 75% of the Christian world.  World dominance has always been their objective and their religion are about dominance and control not simply helping people for spiritual light.  Their treatment of women is atrocious and their treatment of anyone and everyone not following their Sharia Law is unconscionable. 

Hilaire Belloc not only warned of the past but looked into the future and we have failed to heed his warnings and other voices of bygone eras regarding this incredible threat.  Barack Obama tried to compare the Crusades to the Muslim Jihads and justify the violence of the world of Islam.  The thing that Mr. Obama, who has claimed to be a Christian, seemed to overlook was that the New Testament Teachings of the Bible makes no call of eradication of those who do not agree but seeks to bring everyone to a place of peace, love, and forgiveness.  The Book of Islam makes no such directive.

Belloc’s warning is encapsulated in his words: “It [Islam] is, as a fact, the most formidable and persistent enemy which our civilization has had, and may at any moment become as large a menace in the future as it has been in the past…  The whole spiritual strength of Islam is still present in the masses of Syria and Anatolia, of the East Asian mountains, of Arabia, Egypt, and North Africa. The final fruit of this tenacity, the second period of Islamic power, may be delayed — but I doubt whether it can be permanently postponed.”

We have cities in America where even the police will not venture because of the Muslim controlled sectors of those cities and the implementation of Sharia Law.  We have now elected persons to Congress who are Muslims and refuse to renounce the violence and terrorism of Islamic Jihad.  When a religion calls for the eradication of an entire nation, (Israel) and calls the United States the great satan and Israel the little satan and vows to push Israel into the Sea while chanting ‘Death to America’ how can we call that a religion of peace?

America if we do not cease trying to be politically correct and wake up and realize that co-existence with the fundamental teachings of this religion is not possible we will open the door for our own destruction.  I want everyone who peaceably worships to be free to do so, but if there are calls for violence we must not allow that to continue.  If a church or group of people claiming to be Christians were to call for the violence those of Islam call for they would be arrested and shut down with incredible speed and force. 

I want a Free America that maintains and defends the right to “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”  The liberal leftists and too many on the Republican side continue to insist that this is a Religion of Peace while ignoring the mutilation, maiming, incredible abuse, and violence inherent in their teachings.  We have Imams in America’s Mosques calling for jihad against America and we are told we cannot violate their 1^st Amendment Rights while using the IRS and other agencies to harass and trample on the Constitutional Rights of Christians. 

Wake up and let’s clean house in Washington in the next election.  We will need to rid ourselves of many Democrats and some Republicans.  Let’s appeal to those in Congress and the President to purge the ranks of those in agencies and bureaucracies who will not stand for America.
