THE 14TH AMENDMENT DOES NOT GIVE BLANKET BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP…


With the New President’s agenda to legalize and make citizens of the presumed 11 Million Illegals now in the USA, I feel the need to address this again.  I keep hearing people on the Left and the Right insist that if a person is born on U.S. soil, they are automatically a citizen.  THAT IS WRONG!  Before you insist that I am wrong and throw something at your computer screen let me delve into this again for the umpteenth time.

The Democrats railed against President Trump when he declared that he would issue an Executive Order ending “birthright citizenship.”  They called him everything but a human being and made him worse than Lucifer and a reincarnation of Genghis Khan.  Now that President Biden is about to take the opposite path and attempt to bypass both Congress and the Constitution and provide amnesty, that is deemed justified and praiseworthy.  I consider it both unconstitutional and dangerous.

Many on both the Left and the Right fail to comprehend the actual wording and the intent of this amendment.  It, like many things, has morphed into something other than the original intent.  I offer my two cents hoping to bring some clarity to the argument. If I achieve that after numerous attempts, it will be nothing short of a miracle, but I feel compelled to place myself on the chopping block again for the sake of the Republic and the Constitution.

Illegal Immigration and Amnesty are not secondary issues in today’s political climate.  The anti-Trump Bret Baier of Fox News during the 2016 presidential election made it clear that he and many do not understand the intent of the authors of the Amendment nor the Founders of the Republic regarding citizenship.  This issue is, in many respects an economic issue.  It is assuredly a national security issue.  It is unquestionably a national sovereignty issue and is a moral and social issue. 

At one time I thought that if a person was born in the United States. I thought that they were automatically afforded citizenship by the Constitution of these United States.  As a student of history in college and over the past 50 plus years I have discovered the writings of the authors of the 14th Amendment and their view of what that amendment was designed to do.

The 14th Amendment, as per Senator Jacob M. Howard of Michigan in 1866 wrote, “…every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States.  This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons.” 

Please note the words “subject to the jurisdiction” do not simply mean being in the country physically but means “not owing allegiance” to any other foreign nation.  It is not just the physical jurisdiction but the complete jurisdiction of the United States of America.  Illegals cannot make that claim for they are ILLEGAL! 

In 1866 Senator Edward Cowan wrote, “A foreigner in the United States has a right to the protection of the laws; but is not a citizen in the ordinary acceptance of the word…”  The words “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” were intended to exclude American-born persons from automatic citizenship whose allegiance to the United States was not complete.  

The Native Americans were not initially included as citizens, although born here, because it was not perceived that their allegiance was not completely to the United States but to their own tribal councils.  Regarding illegal aliens here in the United States unlawfully, their native country has a claim of allegiance, of the child as well as the parents.  Therefore, the completeness of their allegiance to the United States is impaired and precludes automatic citizenship.  The proper interpretation of the 14th Amendment is that an illegal alien mother is subject to the jurisdiction of her native country, as is her baby.

In the “Slaughter-House Cases” the Supreme Court confirmed this restricted interpretation of citizenship.   In 1884 Elk v. Wilkins, the phrase, “subject to its jurisdiction” was interpreted to include “children of ministers, consuls, and citizens of foreign states born with the United States.”  In Elk, the American Indian claimant was considered NOT an American citizen because the law required him to be “not merely subject in some respect or degree to the jurisdiction of the United States, but completely subject to their political jurisdiction and owing them direct and immediate allegiance.” 

The Courts essentially declared that the status of the parents determines the citizenship of the child.  To qualify children for “birthright citizenship”, based on the 14th Amendment, parents MUST owe, “direct and immediate allegiance” to the United States and be “completely subject” to its jurisdiction.  Simply, they must be citizens of the United States of America.

The argument that simply being born here automatically affords “birthright citizenship” in the United States is to ignore the wording and intent of the Amendment.  One cannot simply self-immigrate ILLEGALLY and then claim jurisdiction because they are here.  They are citizens of another country and subject to the jurisdiction of that country.  They become subject to our laws but that does not give them citizenship.  

The 14th Amendment, ratified in 1868, was primarily directed at extending citizenship to the freed slaves.  The Amendment’s wording was derived from the 1866 Civil Rights Act, which provided that “all person born in the United States, and not subject to any foreign power” should be considered citizens.  The Amendment was intended to give citizenship ONLY to those who owed their allegiance to the United States and were subject to its complete jurisdiction.  Senator Lyman Trumbull, R-IL, a key figure in its adoption stated, “subject to the jurisdiction” meant not owing allegiance to any other country.

American Indians did not become citizens UNTIL Congress passed the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924.  There would have been no need to pass such legislation if the 14th Amendment extended citizenship to all people born in America, no matter what the circumstances of their birth, and no matter the legal status of their parents.  I pray that everyone, including the Supreme Court Justices, always consider that fact and realize based on the wording and the declarations of the framers the original intent.  Birthright Citizenship is not part of our Constitution, politicians have made it so not the document itself.

The Civil Rights Act of 1866 defined citizens of the United States as, “all persons born in the United States and not subject to any foreign power, excluding American Indians not taxed.”  The question of American Indians Senator Howard argued, “…have always been in our legislation and jurisprudence, as quasi-foreign nations”. Senator Lyman Trumbull (D-IL) agreed with Senator Howard stating, “…it would be a violation of our treaty obligations… to extend our laws over these Indian tribes with whom we have treaties saying we would not do so.”  Trumbull insisted that the Indian tribes were not subject to our jurisdiction in the sense of owing allegiance solely to the United States.  He stated, “…it is ONLY those persons who come completely within our jurisdiction, who are subject to our laws that we think of making citizens.”

The clincher or fly in the ointment in this is that Section 5 of the 14th Amendment reads:  “Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.”  That includes Section 1 deemed the “citizenship clause”.  Would Congress pass legislation granting “birthright citizenship” to the children of illegal aliens?  Do wild bears live in the woods?  If they follow the arguments of the authors of the clauses and amendment, they would not but if they follow present-day political correctness they would.  What do you think would be the case if the Democrats and RINO’s control the White House and/or Congress?  You get the Gold Star it would be Amnesty and Anchor Baby Citizenship automatically.

Back in 2016, I was traveling to East Texas for a Nursing Home Program with my brother and heard a Republican candidate for a political office in my State speaking.  He was, as they all do, proclaiming his great conservatism and the subject of immigration came up.  He made the following statements saying he supported:

  • Removing the Citizenship Birthright of children of Illegals.
  • Making the ‘guest workers’ have a biometric ID card.
  • Ending the bi-lingual ballots for voting

The host lauded him for his conservatism on those points then he said with regard to Immigration Reform.  He supported the Republican Immigration Reform Plan which, as he stated it was: “Giving those of the 12 million or so ILLEGALS Green Cards, making them Guest Workers but without a pathway to citizenship.”  He reasoned that we could not deport 12 million illegals and because we could not catch them all. Therefore, in his mine it made no sense to have ICE or the Border Patrol looking for them.  He said that not taking this step would be a de-facto amnesty.  He argued that focusing on the illegals would detract from securing the border and rather than securing the border, reducing the number of immigrants who can come, and enforcing the current laws on immigration that because we could not catch them all the law should not be enforced. 

To his credit, the host challenged that, and I was yelling at my radio – REALLY?  My question was if we have bank robbers and can’t catch them all, do we cease enforcing the law?  If we cannot catch all those driving under the influence, does that mean that we should not enforce the law?  What law do we have where we make it a requirement that 100% are apprehended to make the law valid? 

This candidate further argued that most of the 12 Million Illegals do not want to be citizens just work and that by making them legal we would suddenly have an enormous influx of tax revenue pouring into the coffers.  Really?  If they know that the law is not going to be enforced and do not want to vote or be citizens then what would motivate them to identify themselves and make them liable for taxes, etc.?

I do not believe that illegals should get free tuition to go to college.  I do not believe that they should receive free health care, food stamps, or any other entitlement.  I also say to the employers who knowingly employ illegals you are also a lawbreaker and should face the brunt of the law.  This is an issue concerning those who were born here or brought here at a very young age by parents illegally but do not see how that mandates that we just give what would become nothing more than blanket amnesty to those that have broken our laws and thumbed their noses at our constitution. 

Immigration is just one of the many issues we are facing and securing our borders must become one of our top priorities.  We have the resources to accomplish that and it is my view that enforcement of the law reduces the number of those breaking the law over the long haul.  It certainly gives pause to some who weigh the consequences.  Those for whom consequences are inconsequential will do what they do regardless, and no reform will change that.  Criminals who have utter disregard for the law will not magically change.

MEANINGLESS OATHS OF OFFICE – Doom Any Republic…


If the Oath of Office all elected officials are required to take is meaningless, the Republic is doomed.  I took an oath when I entered the military back in the mid-1960s and I have never gone back on that pledge.  I took it as a solemn promise to my nation and that promise is still valid in my heart today.

The Military Enlistment Oath we took was read by a superior officer and we repeated it.  I solemnly swore or affirmed that I would support and defend the Constitution of the United States against ALL enemies, foreign and domestic.  I did not think then that I might see a day when the enemies posing the greatest threat were domestic.  I pledged to bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution and promised to obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to the regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice.  We concluded with “So Help Me God.”  I felt I was promising my country and my God that I would faithfully perform the assigned duties in defending America.  That was serious to me then, and serious to me now.  I was raised to believe that a man’s word was his bond.

John Keats ended his Ode to a Grecian Urn with, “Truth is beauty, and beauty is truth – that is all / Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know.”  Those were lines from an early 19th-century poet and may seem inconsequential, but they provide a window to view our postmodern relationship with the truth.  Today’s politicians are so loose with the truth, they would not know it if it were to bite them in the butt.

Politicians contain the same sentiments as that we were required to take entering the military.  Regardless of the office, they all PROMISE (Swear or Affirm) that they will support, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.  That does not mean treat it like yesterday’s newspaper or toilet paper.  It means to understand it, adhere to it, and obey it.  It means to be governed by its guiding principles and not go beyond its limits. 

If the Oath of Office conveys any idea, it is that of patriotism, constitutionalism, law-abiding, and honesty.  Those words seem empty when applied to most modern politicians for they seem to be polar opposites of those values.  The words of John Henry Newman describe today’s politicians and much of our society perfectly.  He said, “A peculiar thing about humans is that they cannot accept something intellectually until they accept it emotionally.”  Many are unable to see the lies because they are emotionally invested in the lie or the ideology behind the lie.

There are those in our society who value truth and view it as something outside themselves, independent of their thoughts and feelings and is the goal to which they aspire.  It seems that truth is viewed as something to be envisioned but never possessed.  Why?  Because there is no commitment to practicing the virtues of truth.  To them, it is only a dream, idea, or theory.  Others see truth as something malleable, plastic, and utilitarian.  They believe that their truth is superior to any other truth and becomes THE TRUTH everyone must embrace.

As Christians, if we take an oath before God, we do so with a consciousness of the Omniscient, Omnipotent, and Omnipresent Creator observing our words and actions.  If we fail to fulfill our promise or oath to Him there are eternal consequences.  No, I am not saying, God won’t forgive us if we fail. He will, but if we vow a vow to God, He expects us to keep our word.  He keeps His!  We should do all we do as unto the LORD and that means if we make a commitment to others, we should consider it a commitment to God.  Our Word is Our Bond!

In today’s society, especially in the realm of politics, I must ask, “Does experience or what we see in today’s world tell us that dishonesty is punished?”  I believe that the answer in politics is NO!  We watched the weaponizing of the FBI and other Intelligence Agencies and the blatant lies and distortions advanced by John Brennan, James Clapper, Peter Strzok, Andrew McCabe, Eric Holder, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and a myriad of other Leftists with ZERO PUNISHMENT.  The Media has ignored their violations and desertion from honesty but if there is a question or opportunity to paint a Republican or Conservative in a bad light it is 24/7/365 coverage. 

We have been lied to for years, if not decades, by the media and politicians and yet we keep drinking at their wells and sending the violators back to Washington to continue their dirty deeds.  Do we even care about the Oaths of Office required by politicians?  Do we even know what the Constitutional Requirements and Limits are?  I will not answer that question, but you know what I think.

The Oath of Office and Promise to protect and defend the Constitution implies the willingness to preserve it as well.  In the secular or any other world, truth has no value if its absence has no cost.  If you can play loose with the truth, violate the oath of office, bypass, and subvert the Constitutional directives and it cost you nothing, then the Oath is meaningless, and the Republic is doomed.  Are we there?

The Romantic movement of yesteryear and the political correctness, woke-ness, and cancel culture has opened Pandora’s box making individuals and their emotions the judge of what is true.  Truth is truth, no matter how we feel about it or what we desire.  Sadly, those of us on the opposite end of that spectrum and those are committed to protecting, defending, and preserving the Constitution of the United States have not developed an effective response.  I say that to remind each of us that it is imperative that we return to our moral moorings as a nation and return to God.  We must make Truth universal and transcendent and affix a cost to violation of that objective.  Unless we do so we will never find common ground and move forward as a culture. 

Politicians today seem to believe they are above the law and superior to the masses.  We, in their view, are useful tools to obtain and advance their agenda.  If we cease to be of service to them, they seek to silence, marginalize, or eliminate us by any means possible.  They believe that our Promises are to be kept but theirs are fluid and they take the Oath of Office only as a formality not as a reality or commitment.  It is time that we save the Republic and Fire them All.

CONSERVATIVE, LIBERAL, or PROGRESSIVE???


I have been asked, “Are you a conservative, liberal, or progressive?”  I said, “In a strict non-political sense I probably am all three, but in a political sense I am a constitutional conservative.”  Those asking did not particularly like my qualifier.  The question has frequently caused me to do some introspection and examination of the political climate and thinking in America.  Definitions are often fluid and adapted to accommodate a particular point of view of desire at any given time, so I am careful when I attempt to define the three terms in my title. 

I have heard people on the political right argue that the election of Donald Trump in November 2016, would obliterate conservativism.  I contended and contend that Mr. Trump’s election did not destroy conservativism but made it stronger.  If conservatism is destroyed or being destroyed, that destruction began long before Mr. Trump’s entrance into the political arena as a candidate. 

I would argue that the demise of our Constitutional Republican form of Government has been in the works for over 100 years.  I also contend that some key elements have helped propel us toward Progressivism and destruction.  I believe that those took place during the early part of the last century with the passage and ratification of the 16th and 17th Amendments to our American Constitution. 

Some suggest that in a very strict and literal sense, conservatism is opposition to drastic change and embraces caution and prudence, two things that politicians seem to be devoid of.  Conservativism, depending on what country you live in and the particular subject matter embodies varied and frequently very different definitions. 

If we debate the differences between American conservativism and progressivism, we can find some glaring differences.  It is my view, that American Progressives, at their core, reject the vision our founding fathers had for America and that which the framers of the constitution fought so diligently to provide.  They reject the idea that the Constitution is a safeguard for personal freedom and liberty.  They desire an All-Powerful Government in which it is powerful enough to and capable of ‘fundamentally transforming’ America by controlling Americans and our institutions. 

They have evolved from simply wanting Socialized Medicine in America to wanting an America that has socialized medicine, no borders, transgender bathrooms, censorship, mind-control, and government-mandated business practices.  They, like Barack Obama and Joe Biden, believe that America must be ‘fundamentally transformed’ because America was NEVER great or good.  They see the constitution as a hindrance rather than a safeguard and therein is a major difference in Liberals and Progressives as compared to Conservatives. 

Back to my point of the 16th and 17th Amendments is a major factor in the advancement of the Progressive Political Ideology and the demise of our Constitutional Republican Form of Government.  The Sixteenth Amendment opened a door that has allowed the bureaucracy of the federal government to grow into such a behemoth that it is insatiable and uncontrollable.  This amendment states: “The Congress shall have the power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.” 

Daniel Webster and John Marshall comprehended the terribleness of taxation.  Mr. Webster argued against it in the case of McCulloch v Maryland.  He said, “An unlimited power to tax involves, necessarily, a power to destroy.”  That warning and revelation went unheeded as this amendment was adopted on February 3, 1913. Both the 16th & 17th amendments were ratified in 1913 and they mark the beginning of the end of limited federal government.

In contrast to the bloody revolutions of progressives in other nations, the American progressives have largely resisted the pleas of such men as Bill Ayers who have called for a bloody revolution to overthrow the system of government they hate.  The American Progressives have heretofore taken the political approach of slow erosion.  That slow erosion has now become a runaway freight train traveling at breakneck speed down the path of destruction that includes violence in 2021. They have advanced the idea of a Living Constitution which allows them to modify, misinterpret, misconstrue, and misapply the words of that document as presented by the framers. 

Conservativism is, in a real sense, rooted in the idea and desire of restoring the Founders’ and Framers’ idea of America in which our inalienable rights are protected and defended.  It is based upon the pillars that our liberty must be preserved in the United States of America and by the government. 

We desire Limited Government, fiduciary integrity, and government frugality, and a government in which we are afforded all our constitutional and God-given rights and privileges without infringement by the federal government.  Government is not the provider of those rights and we should always warily remember the words normally attributed to Thomas Jefferson, “A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take away everything that you have.”

If we allow the water of liberalism and progressivism to continue dripping on the rock of our constitution it will eventually erode it to the point that it is impotent.  We dare not let that happen and if we make our focus and fight personalities rather than preserving America, we will facilitate the attack.  I pray that we reject that tendency and temptation and RISE TO FIGHT FOR AMERICA!

The Biden Administration represents and reflects the Obama agenda on steroids.  The tyrannical use of Executive Orders and the steamrolling by the Democrat-controlled Congress to force-feed us their toxic brand of liberalism is destructive.  I am not sure what we can do short of a revolution, but I pray that we will find the ability and courage to put pressure on our elected officials to stand for America, the American people, and the Constitution.  I pray that we will, as a people, return to the LORD and those who are believers will make 2 Chronicles 7:14 the cornerstone of their daily lives.  I trust God not the government and as I view the situation, I am convinced that ONLY GOD can change this and preserve America.  However, we must be willing to stand in the Gap and make up the hedge.

KICK ME TO THE CURB IF…


I believe in Freedom of Speech for everyone!  Not just those I agree with.  I believe that all of our inalienable rights come from God, not the government!  I believe that everyone has the right to think what they please and express it.  I would hope they find it within themselves to do so civilly, non-personally, and peacefully.  If they do not, then they may find themselves violating the constitution and thereby the laws of the land.

Now to my title, “Kick me to the curb if…”  If what?  Thank you for asking.  In Amos 3:3, we read the declaration, “Can two walk together, except they are agreed?”  That could be a rhetorical question but let me answer it this way before I get to the if of my title.  Can two people walk together?  In Hebrew, the word for walk is ‘yalak’ which conveys the idea of literal walking as well as working and fellowship or pursue the same purposes.  The word together is the Hebrew ‘yachad’ which means united and is from a root word that means to become one.

In that light, the answer is No!  If there is no agreement in purpose, principle, and ideology, two cannot walk together.  However, I believe that the Bible teaches, and life is filled with examples of two people, not in agreement on many things being able to work together up to a point.  So, in that sense, the answer is Yes!

Now to my title statement and the if contained therein.  What is the if that ‘if that transpires’ I suggest or invite you to kick me to the curb or withdraw from me?  The if, cannot be defined in one statement but requires a very extensive list of things political, religious, social, economic, etc.  However, I will only focus on the political but everything I say and do is directly connected to my core convictions of faith.  Therefore, there is and will be overlapping between the political and religious.

If you support Abortion and Abortion on Demand, we have no basis of agreement from which to work or walk together.  I believe that life begins in the womb!  No, I believe that Life begins in the heart of God but as soon as that baby is conceived the purposes of God are set in motion and any violation of that plan is wrong.  I believe that life, all life, is valuable to God and therefore should be to us.  I believe that killing an innocent unborn baby is as reprehensible as any murder.  It is genocide and infanticide and that is foreign to my faith and therefore my politics.  If you believe that abortion is acceptable then you might want to kick me to the curb, because I believe it is murder. 

If you support Gay Marriage and believe that ministers and churches should be forced to perform those ceremonies with no regard for their core religious convictions, we have very little area to find common ground.  Let me make a statement that some may find compromising or confusing, but it is how I see things at this juncture of my life.  If two people of the same sex want to get married in a civil ceremony, they can or should be able to.  I believe their sexual preference and practice are violations of God’s moral and natural law. 

I believe that marriage is between one man and one woman.  If you believe that ministers and churches should be legally forced to perform ceremonies for same-sex couples, then you might want to kick me to the curb, because I believe that is a violation of biblical truth and the Constitution.  You have the right to believe what you believe and what you do in your own home in privacy is a matter between you, your conscience, and God but if you drag me into it, you have violated my rights and we have no common ground.

If you support gun control, gun bans, or gun confiscation stripping legal law-abiding citizens of their constitutional and biblical right of self-defense we are on opposite sides of the issue and have no common ground.  The 2nd Amendment was not written to protect hunting or with hunting in mind.  It had nothing to do with deer but the right and obligation of citizens to defend their homes and families and to give the citizens a means to defend against a rogue tyrannical attempt of the government. 

If you insist on calling the AR-15 an assault rifle, when it is nothing of the sort, we have no common ground.  A military assault rifle has the capability and capacity to be either one bullet at a time or fully automatic.  The AR15s that citizens can legally own do not have that capacity. 

The statistical data does not support the need to ban long guns and the constitution prohibits banning all guns.  We have imposed laws that restrict and limit the ability to own a fully automatic weapon.  Your diatribe, rhetoric, and paranoia will only lead to more crime, more gun violence, and render citizens targets from abuse.  If that is your position, as is held by politicians such as Robert Frances O’Rourke the would-be next governor of Texas, we have no agreement. 

If you believe that it is justifiable to punish people for success and tax citizens into oblivion in order to provide entitlements and freebies for many who are unwilling to work, we have no common ground.  I begrudge no person anything they have earned or inherited.  If you were fortunate or misfortunate enough to have inherited a fortune that is your lot in life.  It is not mine and you owe me nothing. 

However, if I have earned it, developed it, and amassed it, or inherited it, I want no one and no government taking it.  They have no right to even one nickel of it without my consent and without proper representation for that money taken.  If you support the toxic liberal view of taxation, then you might as well kick me to the curb we have no path to walk together.

If you support allowing people who are not legally qualified to vote to cast a ballot in our elections, then we are polar opposites on that spectrum.  A deceased person is not a legitimate voter.  A person that is not a legal citizen is not a legitimate voter.  A person that is underage, a felon, or otherwise disqualified from voting is not a legitimate voter.

A person should be able to vote if they meet the qualifications such as identification and citizenship.  They should be able to vote in their state or precinct ONCE not dozens of times in various precincts or states.  If you find that acceptable then we have no common ground to walk together.

If you believe, as Joe Biden stated, that ANTIFA is just an idea and that the riots, looting, mayhem, and destruction over the past months if not years by BLM and other activist groups is justified, we have no agreement.  If you support the censorship being practiced by Big Tech, we have no common ground.  If you support the repeated attempts to make everything that disagrees with the Liberal Ideological position hate speech and banned, then we have no common ground. 

If you believe that America should coddle despots and terrorists hoping to appease them, then we have no common ground.  If you believe that pastors should be forced to submit their sermons to some government oversight board for approval before preaching, then feel free to kick me to the curb, we are in total disagreement. If you believe that being white is a mortal sin, then kick this Caucasian to the curb.  I will not apologize for my ethnicity.  God decided it and I celebrate who I am, and you should celebrate who you are.

If you believe that citizens must live under a mandate to satisfy the unverified claims of the Climate Change alarmists, then we have no common ground.  If you believe that America should adopt the United Nations Agenda 21 plan and embrace the Sustainable Development ideology, then we have no place for agreement. 

I believe that God created a very sturdy and viable planet and He knew all that we could and would do.  We should be good stewards of the environment, but it is not fickle as the alarmist would have us believe.  Fossil fuels are not the enemy but a blessing from God.

If you believe those things, I do not wish to strip you of the right to believe those things and will discuss them with you so long as that is done civilly, without personal insults and name-calling.  If you resort to insults and call for my destruction physically, emotionally, politically, and economically, we have no basis for agreement.  If you truly want to find common ground, we can discuss the matter but if you want me to cede to your views we cannot continue. 

As long as I have breath, I will stand for Faith, Family, and Freedom!  I will defend your right to enjoy your inalienable rights and not seek to censor you.  I will seek to defeat you at the voting booth and fight for legislation that protects and defends our inalienable rights.  I am willing to allow you to live your life and ask that you to allow me to live mine without having to fight a war to achieve that objective.  I have only scratched the surface and there are dozens of other things I could and probably should include.

I AM FED UP BEING FED UP WITH THE LUNACY…


Yes, I said it! Now let me explain what I am talking about and attempt to explain my fears, concerns, suspicions, and reasons for making that statement.  I have read and heard via various mediums that President Joe Biden fully embraces the fallacious Critical Race Theory.  That is one of his many failures and shortcomings, but 2021 America is filled with things that do not make sense.

The fallacious idea that America is systemically racist is deeply rooted in the misguided arguments that the white majority is subconsciously racist.  Of course, those on the Left and the Woke Crowd who are white are magically exempted.  It is only conservatives and Christians who do not embrace the views of toxic liberalism that are deemed white supremacists.  Since I am both a Christian white male and do not support the Left’s toxic ideology and agenda, I guess that means I am a white supremacist and racist.  I contest that view and declare that I am neither!

I do not feel guilty that I am white male or Caucasian.  I did not choose that, God did, and I do not believe God makes mistakes.  Therefore, I contend that no person, regardless of their ethnicity should be ashamed of their ethnicity or feel guilt for being whatever skin color they are.  God chose my nationality, my parents, and knew me before I was conceived in the womb.  He has a plan for my life, and it is my task to both discover that plan and follow it.  It is my assignment to be obedient to His will and part of that is embracing who I am and demonstrating His love to everyone.  That is no small undertaking.

The Left, including Joe Biden, believe they can eliminate what they call subconscious racism via Executive Order and Legislation.  If there is subconscious racism, it is a heart issue and the only one who can change the heart is God not the government.  It is axiomatic that government cannot eliminate subconscious racism.  On the other hand, it is demonstratable that the government can be incredibly effective in fomenting racism and discord.  History is replete with examples, too numerous to list. 

Sadly, the Democrats and Joe Biden are committed to pressing this flawed theory to the limit and thereby destroy American Constitutionalism and strip from us our Freedoms and Liberties in the name of equality.  Evil in the human heart has never been eradicated by, laws and legislation nor will it ever be!  There is no Utopia on earth, even though groups like BLM, Antifa, the Socialists of the New Democratic Party, and the Oligarchs in Washington attempt to sell that idea or ideal.  It does not nor can it exist!  The Kool-aid is flowing freely, and multitudes are drinking it like a life-giving elixir that will cure all ills.

Government Reprogramming is not a conspiracy theory, it is real.  They have voiced their support of it and if allowed will seek implementation in various forms.  In 1963 Anthony Burgess broached this subject in his novel “A Clockwork Orange.”  If you have not read it, it is a story about an incorrigible criminal who was redeemed using science.  The experiment, in the novel a would be the life case failed miserably. 

His story is a mirror of what the Leftists in America are desirous of pursuing.  They deliberately obfuscate the horror of government reprogramming.  America we are headed down a path that has no U-turns and the dead-end is a precipice that plunges into nothingness and ends in destruction.

In a 2012 essay, Burgess explained what he had tried to express in his fictional novel.  He said, “I had read somewhere that it would be a good idea to liquidate the criminal impulse through aversion therapy; I was appalled…. What I was trying to say was that it is better to be bad of one’s own free will than to be good through scientific brainwashing…. I have been derided and rebuked for expressing my fears of the power of the modern state—whether it be Russia, China, or what we may term Anglo-America—to reduce the freedom of the individual…. The behaviorist approach to man, of which Professor Skinner is a great exponent, sees him moved to various kinds of action by aversive and non-aversive inducements. Given the right positive inducements… we shall all become better citizens, submissive to a state that has the good of the community at heart. We must, so the argument goes, not fear the conditioning. We need to be conditioned in order to save the environment and the race. But it must be conditioning of the right sort….”

The objective supposedly was to secure equal opportunity for everyone.  What I cannot fathom is how people seem incapable of grasping the reality that you do not abolish evil, racism, or any of the other diagnosed ills in America by legislative or executive edict.  The only thing that cures hate, dispels racism and counters evil is LOVE, namely God’s LOVE!  Fear never overcomes hate but engenders and expands it.  Fear breeds distrust and distrust relegates solutions to the shadows.  Love, on the other hand, enables one to find the good and trust others rather than assuming the worst in every situation.

In the COVID-19 pandemic paranoia and panic resulted in what could be called a ‘dark church’ transfer of authority to the secular state and stripped citizens of their rights and power to decide.  I was and still am amazed at how quickly, broadly, and easily Americans yielded their liberties to Big Brother and like docile sheep placed their trust or compliance in the government and its experts.  I am amazed because many if not most Americans are familiar with George Orwell’s book but fail to see the connection.

Burgess acknowledged that the title of his novel was derived from “…an old Cockney slang phrase, implying a queerness or madness so extreme as to subvert nature, since what notion could be more bizarre than that of a clockwork orange.”  Millions of Americans are lining up to willing be absorbed into the dead machine of a Totalitarian government.  Burgess reflected on the reality that when the governing machine becomes impersonal and inhumane.  It takes our money for purposes and ventures we do not desire nor approve.  It treats us as abstracts, controls an army, supports a state police force whose function is not always protective. 

The modern government has too much power and it is not unwarranted for people to fear it.  We have and are enduring prenatal and infantile conditioning that has made the slaves content in their discontent and imprisonment.  They are seeking to scientifically reprogram and recondition us to being the beings they desire.  They are shaping the thinking through non-thinking. A condition produced in the educational system. It is a mind conditioned to be predisposed to obedience to the edicts of the government. That mind or person is easily shaped and controlled.  If we are not there, we are headed in that direction and only one or two generations dying off will make it a fully realized reality.

Joe Biden has contended that he has a “mandate to achieve racial justice and root out systemic racism in this country.”  What mandate?  He and they do not give us a clear definition of what the term means or how they plan to eradicate it.  He said, “Again, I’m not promising we can end it tomorrow, but I promise you we’re going to continue to make progress to eliminate systemic racism, and every branch of the White House and the federal government is going to be part of that effort….”  No, Joe, not tomorrow or in any cumulative tomorrows.  You cannot do it for two reasons.  One, it does not exist and two, legislation could never achieve it.

America, we have a political party in power who believe they have the right, mandate, and authority to ‘fundamentally transform’ America into a nation of their liking where only their ideological views are acceptable.  Truth, facts, and reality are inconsequential to them.  They have a flawed view, a flawed theory, and a quest for total control.  If we survive this administration, I will be surprised but we must never stop attempting to restore America to the Republic our Founders created.

WHAT IS AMERICA’S GREATEST NEED TODAY???


Many things come to mind when I ask or am asked that question and I’m sure that each one has a different perspective and idea.  As I have been in prayer and musing on America, where we are, where we have been, and where we are going some agonizing thoughts have come to mind.  When I witness, what in my mind, is an assault on our American foundation, the pillars of freedom, and the principles upon which America was founded, I become agitated! 

I wish I could say that it was always ‘righteous indignation’ but sometimes it is unadulterated blood boiling anger that could easily morph into hate and I fight against that with a passion.  I do not want hate to fill my heart and although I hate sin and the result of sin, I do not want to hate the sinner.  I hate the attempts to dismantle and unravel our constitutional framework and diminish the principled fabric of our society, but I do not want to hate those who disagree with me about what is best and the direction we should take. Hate will never produce genuine and lasting victory and progress!

“What is the greatest need of America today?”   I believe it is national HEALING!  You may not agree and that is your right and privilege.  I will not argue that there are not some incredibly imposing and threatening dangers facing our republic, there are!  Yet, I know from the Bible and history that a house divided against itself cannot stand, become incredibly weak, and open to an invasion of ideologies and forces that would dismantle and destroy us.  I do not believe most want that!  The Bible offers us a prescription for Healing in 2 Chronicles 7:14, “and My people, who are called by My Name, humble themselves, and pray and seek (crave, require as a necessity) My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear [them] from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land.”  [Amplified].

I have watched some of the presentations by the media, political pundits, activists, and protesters over the past year.  The riots that broke out when Donald J. Trump was elected in 2016 have not occurred in 2021.  No, I am not discounting the events of January 6th, but I am saying that those of us on the Right do not conduct ourselves in the same way as the followers of the toxic liberal ideology of the Left.   I believe there were so many abnormalities if not outright fraud and criminality during the election that I cannot be called legitimate.  However, it is what it is, and we must deal with the reality of where we are.

If we allow ourselves to focus on our particular ideology, pet agenda, personal preference, or pet peeve we will expand the divide.  If we allow ourselves to be drawn into hate and continue to fan the flames of discord, we will fail as a nation and thereby will suffer individually and collectively.  I continue to believe what Donald J. Trump said in his inaugural address in 2017.  I believe it is a view that is vitally important for us to focus on.  He said that UNITED, America is Unstoppable!  He said other things about setting aside our prejudices, biases and realizing that we are All Americans and America should be first not personal preference.

I would never suggest anyone abandon their convictions or principles.  I would never do that, but I do suggest that we need to resist and reject hate!  I do suggest we seek common ground through which we can work together for the good of America and Freedom at home and abroad.  If you hate me or I hate you based on the color of skin, we both lose.  If I hate you or you hate me based on personality, we both are reduced to incredibly small people.  If I hate you or you hate me based on which side of a political issue we stand, we dig a chasm that will prevent us from finding a solution to our nation’s problems. 

I have seen the signs held by those protesting over the past year and one of those from 2016 until today was, “Love Trumps Hate.”   That is the truth, but when a sign next to that sign called for the assignation or some other incredibly vile act of violence and hate it diminishes the sentiment.  LOVE does triumph over HATE!  However, we dare never forget that Hate and Love do not flow out of the same fountain or heart at the same time. 

America’s greatest need, in my mind, is HEALING!  I am convinced that Healing can only truly come from God.  I was appalled when Barack Obama won in 2008 and significantly discouraged when he won again in 2012 but I did not stop being an American and wanting what was best for America.  Did I oppose Mr. Obama?  Yes, I did.  Was I vocal?  Yes, I was. 

Am I disturbed that Joe Biden is the President?  Yes, I am.  But I have not nor will I call his murder, the rape of his wife, or seek to destroy the framework of our society, government, commerce, or community.  I found almost nothing good in the policies of Mr. Obama. You may find nothing good in the policies of Mr. Trump.  But if we love America and are willing to suppress our prejudices, biases, and resist the tendency to HATE that which is different we can not only survive but thrive as a nation.  HEALING is America’s greatest need and it is my greatest need as a human being. 

I hate the message and actions of Islamic jihadism.  I hate the murder of innocent babies in the womb.  I hate the attempts to strip all references and mention of God from our public stage.  I hate the fundamental transformation of America into something other than the nation we were established to be and the principles upon which we were formed.  I hate the works of evil no matter what form that comes.  HOWEVER, I do not want to be filled with HATE and thereby prevented from having LOVE for my fellow man.  I want to be a part of the HEALING of our Nation not a part of the perpetuation of division. 

I know that my sermon (that is what some will call it) will not be well received by a segment of society, but I hope you hear my heart.  I DO NOT want anyone to abandon their principles and discard their core convictions.  I want you to protest what you believe is wrong but do so in a civil, peaceful, constitutional, and legal manner.  I want all of us to be able to stand for what we believe is right but to do so as rational and mature people.  I am praying for HEALING in our land and am committed to interceding for America.

It is my prayer and desire that we return to God and become a people who “seeks FIRST the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness.”  I pray that we become a people who understand that just as the human body has many different parts the Body of Christ does as well.  I pray that we realize that we are all descendants of Adam & Eve and that although we have different ethnic backgrounds and skin pigmentation, we are all part of the Human Race.  I pray that we will allow our differences to be aired peaceable and stop focusing on our victimization and pursue peace.

CHEATING AND STEALING HAVE NEVER BEEN SO EASY…


Go ahead and yell at your computer and call me names, but the 2020 election was so fraught with fraud, corruption, irregularities, and illegalities it can only be called a ‘stolen election.’  Yes, I said it and if you disagree, that’s your prerogative.  You have the right to believe what you believe as do I.  You do not have to issue pejoratives and insinuate that I am both an idiot and out of touch with reality.  I believe that I have a clear understanding of what has transpired, what is transpiring, and what will transpire over the next days, weeks, months, and years in my beloved America.  I bring this up halfway through the first year of the Biden administration because AMERICA NEEDS TO KNOW THE TRUTH and We need to ensure fair elections in the future.

I have been asked if I think that many who voted for Joe Biden, like some that voted for Barack Hussein Obama the first time, will acknowledge their mistake.  My answer is, “almost none will.”  I believe that those so adamantly anti-Trump will find it beyond their ability to admit the error of their hate and acknowledge Biden is and will be a disaster.  Nope!  They are content to label Donald Trump and his supporters as evil, Neanderthals incapable of reason and clear thinking.  Those in the religious ranks that joined that movement claim they are the ones standing on biblical principles when virtually everything Biden and the Left is advancing is anathema to biblical truths.

I have acknowledged numerous times, that leading up to Trump winning the nomination in 2016, Trump was not my first choice.  My choice was eliminated.  The more I listened to Trump I was drawn to him.  When I realized he was going to be the nominee I threw my support behind him.  I am not ashamed to say, “He surprised me.”  He kept his promises as best he could with ZERO Democratic support and precious little GOP backing.  The Establishment on both sides remained thorns in his side for the entire four years he was President.  What could we have achieved if the GOP had had the backbone and constitutional fiber to have backed the agenda?  There would be no Joe Biden in the White House!

As a minister, a veteran, a patriot, and a lover of Freedom, I have been amazed at how much people ‘compartmentalize’ virtually everything.  Our naval vessels are constructed to provide numerous water-tight spaces.  This is designed to aid in survival.  If the crew did their jobs and properly sealed the vessel then only a few spaces would be flooded and increase the chance of staying afloat exponentially.  If they failed it would be a quick trip to Davey Jones’ Locker for them.

That principle is utilized by our intelligence agencies.  There is what is called, “informational compartmentalization” to prevent the leak of information or should one of the assets be capture limit the amount of possible information extracted.  The need to know comes into play in many aspects of military life.  I was made keenly aware of that in Vietnam and the value of not allowing everyone to know everything.  That most assuredly includes the media.

I read something that I had heard in various forms before regarding the Diffusion of Responsibility.  It was the protocol for firing squads.  The quote:  “…Sometimes, one or more members of the firing squad may be issued a weapon containing a blank cartridge. In such cases, members of the firing squad are not told beforehand whether or not they are using live ammunition. This is believed to reinforce the sense of diffusion of responsibility among the firing squad members.”  And “…In more recent times, such as in the execution of Ronnie Lee Gardner in the American state of Utah in 2010, one rifleman may be given a “dummy” cartridge containing a wax bullet instead of a lead bullet, which provides a more realistic recoil.”

That provides an out for the members of the firing squad to embrace the perception, if not the hope, that it was not him or her that actually killed the person being executed.  Is it possible that the dual usage of Compartmentalization and Diffusion of Responsibility transpired simultaneously in the 2020 election?  Is it possible that those low-ranking players in the various swing states or cities had no knowledge of the overall plan only what they were doing?  Is it possible that they thought this was an isolated occurrence affecting their locale, not the entire nation?   I have watched people compartmentalize their lives and I tell them, “You are not a cat you do not have nine lives; you have a life!”

If that was the case, that only the top brass in the organization knew the overall plan and people in Georgia, Detroit, Philadelphia, etc. were discovered it would be like a low-ranking little informed soldier or sailor being capture in war.  They could not reveal much and thereby would not pose a threat to the Establishment.  The information they could provide would not be deemed sufficient to change the outcome of the election and thereby give the courts an out and the politicians plausible deniability. 

If you recall, they bragged about doing it in a Time Magazine article in January 2021.  The brazenness and feeling secure in the belief that they were and are insulated from prosecution, screams that they did it and are beyond dangerous.  But we are asked to dismiss the claims of fraud and deemed sore losers and eaters of sour grapes. 

Constitutionally, America has the ‘right to know’ what transpired in the election and what is happening in the attempts to create a voting system that will forever destroy the integrity of our elections.  We have that right!  We have the required security clearance constitutionally as citizens to KNOW.  But, those in control of the government say, as does the military and other agencies from time to time, “You do not have the need to know.”  They decide what we need to know and what we do not.  If we knew what they had done and are doing, we would be up in arms and they know it.  Therefore, we must be kept in the dark and silenced. 

I can predict, with no fear of having to eat my words, which I would gladly do if proven wrong, the Biden presidency will prove to be far worse than we feared and far sooner than most expected.  They are determined to eradicate our borders.  They are determined to shut down our oil and gas industry.  They are determined to force political correctness upon us.  They are determined to make all conservative, constitutional whites pay for our conservatism, constitutionalism, and ethnicity.  Even the illustrious Governor of New York’s brother declared that he was ‘black on the inside.’  WOW!

Let me make a statement that is intended to be sarcastic but true.  Sir, if you or anyone else is ‘black’ on the inside you have a very serious health issue.  I am not saying, black as having an ethnicity but black as being the color of your internal organs.  I know that was not what he meant, but if he can make a stupid statement, I can make an equally dumb retort. 

If we survive until the mid-terms in 2022 and can somehow wrest the control of Congress from the Leftists, we must do so with people who have the courage and constitutional ideological principles to DO WHAT IS RIGHT!  We cannot simply replace Establishment Socialist Democrats with Establishment Republicans.  That is what has produced the problem we now have.  We must return to the founding principles and return to God if we are to save the republic.  We must make stealing, cheating, and fraud costly.

THE ASSAULT ON OUR INALIENABLE RIGHTS…


Before I begin my discussion of the subject of inalienable rights let me say, “Thank You” for the many prayers you prayed for Bonnie before her homegoing and for me and the family since. Today marks two-months that she has been gone. She went to heaven at 12:15 AM on Sunday, April 11, 2021. I miss her more than words can say and in keeping with my calling from God, my love of freedom, and her expressed desire, I continue to stand as a Watchman on the Walls. THANK YOU!

I do not want to sound like a broken record or beat a dead horse, but the Democrats, Liberals, Leftists, Globalists, Socialists, Progressive now in control of our government are waging war on the Inalienable Rights of Americans.  Let me rephrase that, they do not believe than any of us who oppose their agenda should have any rights.  They desire and are pursuing total totalitarian authoritarian control and are willing to do whatever is required to achieve that objective.

The Executive Orders, the Legislation, and the intended actions they have announced and implemented will result in anyone who is not part of the Woke Crowd, Cancel Culture Left having NO RIGHTS!  They do not care that those rights are protected by the American Constitution and God.  If allowed, they will render the American Constitution meaningless.  In many ways, that has already transpired, but at this juncture, the Constitution is still intact although ignored and bypassed frequently.

The assault on American history and the revisionism that has been transpiring has resulted in a state of dangerous historical ignorance in America.  Few, and I know that may be offensive, but few Americans truly know American history.  They know the sanitized and skewed versions or tidbits of history but have no ability to connect the dots and understand what we were given in the Revolutionary War and the subsequent establishment of American and the enacting of our Constitution. 

Most Americans believe we are a majority-rule democracy.  We are not! We are a Republic with a representative form of government.  In that sense, we are a Representative Democracy.  Our wise founders and the framers of the constitution carefully guarded against America becoming a direct democracy and sought to install an incredible system of checks and balances in the formulation of three branches of government.  They staunchly defended ‘States Rights’ and the ‘Inalienable Rights’ of the citizens.  They believed, rightly, that there are certain inherent rights of all people that come from God not government.  They sought to guarantee that the government could not infringe upon those rights. 

The Lexington Minutemen were the epitome of the American spirit and devotion to Liberty and Freedom.  On April 19, 1775, a group of farmers, tradesmen, and other “Minutemen” led by Captain John Parker, gathered on Lexington Commons to express umbrage, at the British Crown’s illegal attempt to confiscate Colonial Weapons.  Captain Parker told his comrades, “Stand your ground.  Don’t fire unless fired upon, but if they mean to have a war let it begin here.”  I believe that we are facing a similar seminal moment in America.

It is almost impossible to determine who fired the ‘first shot’ in that encounter but it became known as the “shot heard round the world” and the de facto beginning of the American Revolution.  There were many causes of the war but one of the key elements was the desire, intent, and attempt of the British Crown to ‘confiscate firearms’.  That is what the Democrats desire and intend to do through various means.  They will use both the front and back door approach and attempt to strip us of our God-given right of self-defense.  I predict that will result in another revolution.  It may be short-lived, but it will transpire.

The current Vice President Kamala Harris, while serving as a Senator from California, acknowledged that she was willing to send the police to our homes to take our guns. We dare not be sanguine thinking she and they can never get away with infringing upon that 2nd Amendment Right.  I believe as did many of our founders and subsequent historians that the 2nd Amendment is the inalienable right that secures all the other Rights.

The current Supreme Court seems to embrace an aberrant view regarding the 2nd Amendment. They seem to believe that it is not on the same level as all the other Amendments in the Bill of Rights.  They are wrong! Texas Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee, who often speaks as if she is functionally illiterate is a strong advocate of infringing upon our 2nd Amendment Rights.  She is joined by the would-be Governor and filed Senatorial and Presidential Candidate, Robert Francis O’Rourke.  His infamous declaration, “Hell yes we will take your AR-15s” should be remembered by all Texans.  He is a liberal leftist of the Socialist Communist ideological ilk and were he to become governor of Texas my beloved state will be neck-deep in the stuff that horses leave behind after eating.

The Houston Congresswoman has proposed some far-reaching and dangerous legislation to ‘grab our guns’ that has been put forth to date.  If you are not aware you should make yourself aware of H.R.127 – Sabika Sheikh Firearm Licensing and Registration Act. 

§ 932. Licensing of firearm and ammunition possession; registration of firearms
“(a) In General.—The Attorney General, through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, shall establish a system for licensing the possession of firearms or ammunition in the United States, and for the registration with the Bureau of each firearm present in the United States.

Here is an excerpt from it:

“(b) Firearm Registration System.—
“(1) REQUIRED INFORMATION.—Under the firearm registration system, the owner of a firearm shall transmit to the Bureau—
“(A) the make, model, and serial number of the firearm, the identity of the owner of the firearm, the date the firearm was acquired by the owner, and where the firearm is or will be stored; and
“(B) a notice specifying the identity of any person to whom, and any period of time during which, the firearm will be loaned to the person.

The Democrats control the White House, the Senate, the House of Representatives, and thereby the courts, so what can we do before the mid-term elections?  The States MUST use all measures to hold the line on the 2nd Amendment.  Sadly, some State Governors and Officials have gone full-on dictatorial and are in lockstep with the Left and want to strip us of our right, to ‘keep and bear arms.’

I am encouraged when a liberal state such as New Mexico where 30 of 33 county sheriffs signed a letter pledging to refuse to enforce several gun-control measures supported by the Democrats in Santa Fe.  There are also more than two dozen counties in that state who have enacted “sanctuary” resolutions backing the sheriffs and affirming that no tax dollars in their jurisdictions should go to enforcing those proposals.  Is that enough?  No, but it is a start.

I am concerned that the ATF and FBI will soon be thrown into the mix and the clash between locally elected sheriffs and federal law enforcement will result in citizens being drawn into the clash.  We will witness such disasters such as the Waco, Branch Davidians debacle.  I am not defending David Koresh or any other groups such as that, but I am saying that the attempt to strip the law-abiding of their inalienable right of self-defense places the law-abiding at a disadvantage against criminals and a nefarious governmental overreach.

America, our Inalienable Rights, if you are a non-follower of the toxic liberal ideology, are in their crosshairs.  If the 2nd Amendment falls, all the other rights will follow.  This is a war for the Republic.  You can discount my argument and call me a kook or a mindless conspiracist but one day you may see that I am spot on in my warnings.

Before I launch into my discussion (some will consider it a diatribe and rant) of the subject matter of my title let me express my deep appreciation for your continued prayers for me.  My wife’s departure for heaven has left me empty in so many ways and yet full.  I have her in my heart but miss her in the flesh.  I am pursuing the purposes of God with all that I am and all that I have as would be God’s desire and Bonnie’s. 

Let me also contend, as I do repeatedly, that the number one problem in America and the world is the condition of the human heart.  It is a heart issue, not simply a political one.  We cannot legislate right relationships even though we may regulate behavior to a degree through laws.  Basically, laws are for the law-abiding and those who view the repercussions as too costly to risk doing the crime.  Locks are to keep honest people out not criminals.  Those who disregard the law, personal property, individual rights, and ignore God have no qualms about breaking any law enacted by the government.  With that in mind, let’s consider my view on the topic of liars and lies.

I have reached the conclusion that a majority of politicians must have been trained at the school of distortion, fabrication, deception, and learned to become pathological liars.  Yes, I said, a majority, and there are members of that fraternity in both major political parties.  No, in all political parties.  The modern politician gives the stereotypical used car salesman a bad name. 

I am amazed at the willingness of the public to believe the lies and the politicians advancing them.  Rush Limbaugh classified some as ‘low information voters’ but I am reaching the point that I am not sure it is ‘low information but no information.’  Better, a complete absence of the ability or willingness to cognate and use the grey matter inside the cranium for what it was designed – THINKING! 

I would like to think that most people believe that truth is supported by facts.  Yet, every day I encounter people who, like Joe Biden and most of the Establishment Democrats have opted for what they deem to be the truth over facts.  I cannot imagine how anyone could assume that the truth would be contrary to the facts, but that seems to be the mentality of many in today’s world.

Joe Biden, during his campaign in Iowa, said, “…We choose unity over division.  We choose science over fiction.  We choose truth over facts.”  WHAT?  The first two are wonderful but the last one is either a massive Freudian slip or an identification of the ideological position of him and his political party.  Either way, it should be of concern to everyone, but it is to only a few.  He even said that America could not stand “eight more years of Trump.”  Since Trump was limited to eight years total and the first term was almost over, eight more years would be a constitutional impossibility.  But I guess that was one of his ‘truths over facts’ revelations.  That is the man in the White House America, if that makes you feel comfortable, I am more concerned about you than him.

The Cancel Culture the Left is pursuing and the Historic Revisionism they desire is part of that mentality.  They seem to believe that if you erase something from the history books and refuse to teach future generations America’s true history it somehow changes that history.  The attempted sanitization of history to the liking of the Woke Crowd who are devoted followers of Political Correctness wants a history that reflects their agenda and demonizes truth and facts.

Some of the multitude of lies told by the Left include:

  • Trump is a white supremacist; he admitted so with Charlottesville. 
  • Trump incited an insurrection on January 6th in an attempted coup.
  • Impeachment was not solely intended to preclude something Trump might do in 2024, by convicting him of something he did not do in 2021.
  • Climate change is an existential crisis that requires the elite to have total control.  People desire and are demanding oligarchic rule because rule by correct thinking experts is ‘Democracy in Action.’
  • Riots by ANTIFA/BLM were ‘mostly peaceful’ demonstrations of justified anger over systemic racism.  However, the breaching of the Capitol on January 6th was a coup and the worse thing in American history.
  • Censorship protects ‘free speech,’ and CNN is a real news organization.
  • Lockdowns and masks work with such efficaciousness that the nation needs to embrace more of both in this dark time we are experiencing.
  • The election was not stolen.  Eighty million people voted for Joe Biden who is not in the grips of senescent senility hiding in the basement of the White House surrounded by his new Praetorian (nee National) Guard.
  • Executive Orders are a legitimate way to change the constitution of the nation.
  • America needs a 9/11-style investigation and a Truth Commission where conservatives can confess their sins but not a peep on the Corruption of the abnormalities in the election or the Biden, Obama, or Clinton crimes.

Those are just a few of the many blatant fabrications advanced by the Left.  I will likely be unfriended and trashed because of my assertion that these are devoid of truth and facts.  These lies are a threat to our American System of Representative Government.  They are a threat to our Liberties and Freedoms and our Constitution. 

We are entering, no we have entered, the dark days of a political oligarchy in America.  Joe Biden is nothing more than the figurehead front-man for this destructive effort.  The nation is being pushed to the brink of civil war and that seems to be the desire of those seeking total dominance and control.  They want chaos, anarchy, division, and violence.  They seem to envision a condition so dire that the majority of Americans call for and are willing to submit to TOTAL CONTROL thinking it will be short-lived and a return to normalcy will transpire.  Freedom lost is never willing restored by those in power. 

Joe Biden has issued many economy-destroying edicts with his pen that we may never fully recover even if we oust him in 2024 or before.  The efforts of the Left to eradicate our borders and allow millions of un-vetted people to enter the United States unimpeded.  The likelihood of that causing a dramatic spike in the coronavirus and other diseases, destroy our economy, place a burden on our health, education, and unsustainable welfare systems is beyond doubt.  Is that part of their plan?  Destroy us in every way and then insist that if we allow them total control, they can rectify our ills and bring to us the Utopia they preach!

I don’t like to use colorful language and some of the descriptive adjectives that are not personally palatable as a Christian, but I agree that we must “fight like hell” or we won’t have a country.  By that, I do not mean to take to the streets with arms and have a shooting war but fight in every legal and legitimate way to protect, defend, and preserve the Constitution and the Republic.    I am not calling for sedition, but for a pledge from Americans and Christians to forego violence and utilize the weapons afforded us biblically, spiritually, and constitutionally to combat this coup against our republic.

I have long urged people to ‘become vocal.’  Silence is not golden and sometimes it is yellow when evil is present, prevalent, and rampant.  Our moral obligation is to speak up and speak out giving warning of the dangers and pitfalls we see.  We must become knowledgeable and seek to articulate the values of conservativism and constitutionalism as we decry the failures and negatives of progressivism and socialism. 

I don’t know if it is time for a Third-Party to be formed to rival the Republican and Democratic Parties, but something has to be done.  Conservatives of all stripes and previous political affiliations must find a basis to unite and fight.  We have to do this with our voices, votes, and pocketbooks.  We must invest ourselves in protesting both in groups and as individuals the atrocities being perpetrated on this nation.

The lie of the Left and the RINOs that if we fight back against the perfidy of the Left, we are inciting violence.  We are doing the exact opposite and as Edmund Burke is reported to have said, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.”  America, it is time that we do what is required to reclaim our republic.

THINKING YOU ARE SMART DOES NOT MAKE YOU WISE…


In my time of introspection, prayer, and recommitment to God in the aftermath of my wife Bonnie’s departure for heaven just over 8 weeks ago, I have come to some renewed conclusions.  I believe that the most important things in life are God and Relationships.  The problems manifested in this world on all fronts are not what we make them out to be but outgrowths of a problem with the human heart and mind.  What we focus on consumes us.  If we make politics our focus, we will become tainted by the corruption, deception, and disappointment of that world.  If we make money our focus, we will become dissatisfied and greed will consume us.  But, if we make God our focus, we can rectify many of the issues of this world through His Word, Grace, Spirit, and Power. 

If we truly loved God with all our hearts, minds, bodies, and souls and our neighbors as ourselves we would see most of the problems of this world disappear.  It is only through God that we can overcome evil.  We do not do it through war or legislation.  I am not saying those are not required but they cannot be deemed the solution.  The new birth and becoming that new person through Jesus is the only real solution to the world’s issues.  I thank you for your continued prayers for me and my family in our time of loss and ask that you consider what I am going to write in the light of God first, and everything else second.

Sometimes, I reflect on the actions and antics of politicians with a sense of bemusement and find a certain amount of amusement in them.   Many of those politicians are lauded as being extremely intelligent.  When I consider that declaration, I am brought to an awareness that simply having college degrees and being measurably smart does not make one wise!   It is possible to the IQ of a genius and be a virtual moron when it comes to common sense.  I have known people who are smart according to their test scores but are incredibly deficient in the area of wisdom.  I have known some who are not measurably smart but incredibly wise.  I also know people who are both.

In my life, I have only been intimidated by one person intellectually and because of who that person is that was short-lived.  He is smarter than me and we both know it.  That person is my brother.  He and I agree that just because someone is deemed smart based on measurable scores does not mean they are wise.  The fact that I am not intimidated by people who are deemed incredibly smart does not mean that I think I am smarter than others, heaven forbid.  What I’m saying is that I am not afraid to think, examine, and express my thoughts. 

If measurable scores determined wisdom, my earthly father would have failed miserably. However, he was one of the wisest men I have ever known.  He was astute in applying knowledge, using common sense, and demonstrating rational thought making him very wise.  I know people who are far more intelligent than me, but that fact does not intimidate me because I am totally comfortable within my own skin and person.  I am not afraid to acknowledge that I do not know something when I do not.  I am not afraid to converse with people holding multiple doctorates in various disciplines.    

When I listen to arguments today or ideological presentations of politicians, activists, university professors, and others I often think, “Measurably smart practically dumb.”  Having the ability to use ‘legalese’ and write legislation that is larger than most novels does not mean you have demonstrated wisdom.  It may well mean that you practiced deception and are attempting to hoodwink the public and even your colleagues in congress.  Making something complicated is not demonstrating wisdom but the opposite.  How can you expect people to follow a directive when they do not understand it?  I learned in raising my children that the less complicated I made my instructions the more likely they were to be followed.

When Congress produces legislation that even they do not understand we should immediately realize that we are not being governed wisely.  Wisdom would insist that laws and regulations be easily understood.  People often fear what they do not understand.  Tragically too often it seems that is exactly the objective of some legislation and legislators. 

It is almost like the religious hierarchy of ages gone by when the person in the pew was not allowed to have a Bible or read it for themselves.  The hierarchy wanted to explain to the people what was intended and thereby control the people.  I believe we have much the same situation in Washington today where the vast majority of politicians want to tell us what the legislation means rather than producing bills and laws that we could easily decipher for ourselves.  It seems to give them a sense of power and importance to have us in the dark and confused. 

It appears many politicians truly believe they are smarter than the rest of us and therefore because they are smarter, we must consent to their control.  That is a demonstration of the lack of wisdom. When people become frustrated enough, they revolt. When they revolt those in power are deemed the enemy whether they truly are or not.  We elect officials to be our representatives, not our Lords and Ladies. 

I see a rebellion coming upon this nation.  I see a time and condition where the people will become so fed up with the politicians they will refuse to submit.  I am not suggesting or calling for an armed insurrection but saying that dissatisfaction with politicians and politics is growing among those of varying political stripes.  What will be the tipping point?  I really don’t know but I know that if you corner an animal, even one that is normally passive there is a point where it will fight back, and when it does it fights for its life.

I hope the voting public sends a message to all politicians in every future election that we are tired of being cornered and manipulated.  I hope that there will be enough bad politicians given pink slips that the others will take note of.  I pray that We the People will make our voices heard and send the message that we are no longer willing to be told what to say, think, and do.  I long for a time when we hold politicians accountable for the laws and legislation they pass.  We just might return to citizen representation and a Republican Democracy if that were to happen. I pray that the masses will awaken and return to God and our moral moorings.

If you are a lover of Liberty, lover of God, and believe in the American Constitution, then you must become involved.  If you believe, as the Declaration of Independence declares that we have certain inalienable rights given to us by God, then you must become involved.  If you want the Free Constitutional Republic known as the United States of America to continue, then you must become involved.  We must pray, seek God’s Face, and give oversight to the government rather than allowing it to continue operating unsupervised.
