Many will undertake the task of defining what the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg means and I now offer my two cents.  This will be brief and may or may not resonate with anyone, but it is the view I have from my perch on the Wall of Watching.

I have no desire to vilify or glorify Justice Ginsberg, she now stands or will stand before the Almighty and explain her life.  Her journey is complete, and the eternal determination is up to God.  I find it of no redeeming value to trash the dead.  I disagreed with many, if not most, of her decisions but that too is in the past and the present and future must be focused on.  She is gone, what now?  What do her death and the timing of her death mean to America and the 2020 elections?

Frankly, I do not know what it will mean for America, nor does anyone else.  It can provide a catalyst to healing and moving forward toward the restoration of a Constitutional America or it can be the final straw in dividing us to the point of total anarchy and a full-blown civil war.  The next few days and weeks will be telling.  We won’t have to wait years to see what will happen because the election is just weeks away and this will provide the pathway for many potential October surprises.

As to the Senate addressing the nomination that the President will offer is a matter that I wish to speak to.  I suggest that everyone think honestly and rationally rather than seek to justify our opinions and preferences. 

The Politics of this will be conducted as it would regardless of which party was in control of the Senate or which party occupied the White House.  If the roles had been reversed and rather than Obama a Republican had occupied the White House and the Democrats controlled the Senate there would have been no consideration of the nominee.  If you honestly think about you, you know that is the truth.

However, if the roles were reversed and the Democrats held the White House and the Senate as the Republicans do now, the nominee would get a floor vote in the Senate. Again, this is politics and politicians do what politicians do.  You know that is the truth although you may make it about Trump it is not, it is about politics and then even more importantly about America.

I contended when the Republicans refused a floor vote on Obama’s nominee, they were taking the wrong approach and should have allowed an up or down vote and dismissed the nominee and moved on.  They did not and now the media, the Democrats, and those that hate this president will make it cannon fodder and attack viciously. 

Based on what has been happening in the Pandemic lockdown, the rioting, and protests, the media diatribe, and the events in pro sports as well as Hollywood and much of the business world, we are in for a very rough ride in the days to come.  I believe the rioting will escalate and the chaos will produce even more destruction and may push is over the edge and create a condition and atmosphere where it is impossible to have any semblance of a peaceful election.  That is beyond dangerous and destructive.

This will likely make the election shift the focus almost exclusively to the Supreme Court where it possibly should be, and the rioting and chaos will either push people toward Trump or away from him.  We have weeks to discover what is going to happen in America’s future.

Here are my prayer and request.  I ask all who name the name of Christ and are Christians to follow the directive of 2 Chronicles 7:14 and pray.  We who are called by His name are directed to humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways.  In repentance, humility, and with total dependence upon God we need to intercede for our beloved America.  I truly believe we are standing at the crossroads of Freedom and Tyranny, Liberty, and Political Slavery.  I believe this is a contest between good and evil not between Republican and Democrat.

I pray for the family of Justice Ginsberg and ask God to comfort their hearts and heal them of any hurts and disappointments.  I pray that all, on both sides of the political spectrum can be civil and will somehow open their hearts to the Grace and Peace of God.

What I am going to say will possible make me persona non grata in some circles including some Christian Groups.  I am a believer in God and a follower of the Christian Faith.  I realize that there are many variations or opinions as to what that means or entails but I believe the Bible is the Word of God, Inspired, and God-breathed.  I believe that America was founded based on the principles, precepts, promises, and providence of God.  Our very system of government has its roots traceable to the Bible and the Ten Commandments.  I believe in following the Constitution, am politically and fiscally conservative, and love America! 

Much of what I have been observing over the past few years, if not decades have been a form of terrorism that began as a seed or idea and has fully blossomed into action.  There are those on the Right and on the Left as well as those in the Church and the non-believers who disagree, but it is my view.  America is being terrorized, not from without but from within.  We are watching the systematic destruction of our system of government and an attack on our way of life.  That cannot be ignored and must be addressed if we are to survive as the Free Constitutional Republic founded through the efforts of 1776 and beyond.

What is ‘domestic terrorism?’  Let’s begin with a workable definition given in Section 802 of the USA Patriot Act.  That section defines it as “acts in violation of state or federal criminal laws that are “dangerous to human life” and “appear to be intended” to either (i) “intimidate or coerce a civilian population,” (ii) “influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion,” or (iii) “affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assignation, or kidnapping.”  THAT IS WHAT IS HAPPENING!

The intimidation of the civilian population is clear.  The coercing of government officials impossible to deny.  The mass destruction is revealed in the ashes of the cities burning.  The assignation of police is undeniable.  The calls to kill those who are of a different ethnicity, skin pigmentation, or ideology can be called nothing but TERRORISM! 

The actions of ANTIFA, BLM, and other groups are all endorsed by the Democratic Party and it could be argued they are doing the dirty work desired by the Leftists.  The anger and hate that is boiling over in that party and America are deadly, destructive, and incredibly dangerous.  It cannot be ignored.  It must be called what it is, TERRORISM!

We are watching the actions of the destroyers (terrorists) and the accolades afforded them by the liberal leftist politicians and media types infect our entire society.  America is being destroyed by terrorist and the terrorist are home-grown and educated in this republic.  We are destroying ourselves and attempting to turn a blind eye to the problem only exacerbates the problem. 

If we are truly for Constitutional governance and the Rule of Law, we MUST address this issue and hold the guilty accountable.  Justifying violence and criminality is an attempt at appeasement that will erode the foundations of our Republic and bring about our demise.  Trump is not the culprit causing this, he is simply the target of their anger because it plays well and resonates with those seeking justification for their hate and violence.  The Democratic Party, in my view, is lighting fires everywhere they find any dry twigs and egging on violence hoping to see it continue through the November elections. 

The plan or desire to ‘defund the police’ and replace them with civilian patrols is beyond insane, it is deadly.  They know it, the cities know it, and the terrorist know it.  It is giving the terrorist carte blanche to destroy, maim, kill, loot, and terrorize.  That must end!  The threatening of politicians, churches, businesses, and individuals is not an American way, but a methodology of tyrants and terrorists. 

I wonder how America would respond if ISIS landed hordes of troops on our shores and began burning our cities and neighborhoods.  If they murdered citizens, maimed the innocent, desecrated monuments, buildings, and even cemeteries what would be our response?  I would hope that we would unify and rise up, in arms, and squash their destruction.  Why are we regarding this domestic terrorism differently?  Because it is politically correct and we are terrified of being branded a racist, bigot, or some other derogatory label.           

Imagine a group claiming to be against fascism and engaging in fascist tactics.  I would argue that Hitler would win the nomination of the Democratic Party today because so many are ideologically aligned with Marxism and Fascism.  He could win if he modified his position on ‘whites’ and branded what he was trying to do as ‘social justice.’  He could chant through his ‘brown shirts’ Death to the Fascist all the while engaging in Fascist actions and pushing Fascist agendas.

The very party that advocated for ‘white supremacy’ during the Civil War era is now attempting to blame all the ills of our society on ‘white supremacy.’  They ignore the bigotry and racism oozing out of many sides of this equation.  I was stunned recently when a major White Supremacy Leader announced he and his organization were fully behind Joe Biden.  The idea was that Biden embodied more of what they desired than Trump and therefore, they would be Ridin’ with Biden.  Wow!  I wonder how that will play out and how it would be viewed if it were given any news coverage. 

The Democratic Party of today has either become a domestic terrorist organization that wants to totally dismantle and destroy the Republic or the neck that turns the head has become the radical activists of the Left.  Either way, America is paying and will pay an enormous price for ignoring the reality of the existence of Domestic Terrorism in today’s America. 

We endured the Weather Underground in the ’60s, and today are being inundated by the Neo-Nazis and Socialist Party USA along with the numerous Soros funded foundations.  We have watched the Southern Poverty Law Center and other groups unite in a literal war against our system of government and way of life.  Our freedoms are at stake and if we continue to ignore the reality of domestic terrorism, we will abet the destruction of our Republic.  I Cannot and Will Not Passively Allow That to Happen!

We do not negotiate with terrorists, so we say.  I say it is time to cease all negotiations with these domestic terrorists and let them feel the full brunt of the Law and the full weight of our Constitution.  Our greatest weapon is our Vote and our Prayers, so please prayer urgently and vote in November. Let’s defeat the Leftists and their brand of Fascism and Marxism.  I am asking for a return and preservation of the Free Constitutional American Republic we were given.  I am voting NO on the Democrats!

I realize that I may sound like a broken record but what is happening in America is not simply politics as usual or a temporary bump in the road.  This is not just another of a long line of political cycles and we will recover if we just bide our time.  This is WAR!  It is a War for Survival.  It is a War for Freedom!  It is a War for Republicanism versus Socialism, Marxism, and Globalism!  It is War for the Soul of America!

I know that some may immediately discount those declarations and insist that it is all Trump’s fault, or if we just wait, the political cycle will run its course and we will, down the road, return to a more sane condition in society.  I contend that day will never come again if we do not resoundingly defeat the anarchy and push toward Marxism now!  It is, in my mind, now or never!

Today’s Democratic Party and their nominee Joe Biden, have tacitly sanctioned the sedition that is running rampant in our cities.  They have betrayed the American people, the Republic, the Vision of our Founding, and abetted those who have declared war on America and Americanism.  I wish that I was referring to a foreign enemy that had declared war, but it is from within our own citizenry that the war is coming. 

There comes a time when failure to condemn evil is to participate in that evil and become an ally of it.  That is what has happened in the Democratic Party of today.  They have not only failed to condemn the rioting, looting, destruction, and anarchy but have openly encouraged it and even marched with the destroyers in their cities. They have acquiesced to the demands of the domestic terrorist and the Mainstream Media is in lockstep with them and their agenda.

Our universities are filled with dedicated Marxists ideologues who are poisoning the minds of our youth indoctrinating them with philosophies that are anathema to Freedom, Free Market Capitalism, and our Founding Principles.  When groups openly declare that their prime objective is the overthrow of our current system of government, that, by its very definition, is Sedition.  The objective to ‘fundamentally transform’ our republic is being enacted in city after city by anarchists, politicians, and the media.  We are in War!

The Sedition is receiving no push back from Biden, the Democrats, and even some Republicans are attempting to board that train hoping to appease and gain votes.  We have members of some police forces, the military, professional and collegiate sports endorsing, participating, and bowing to the demands of the revolutionary anarchist.  That does not bode well for the future of the Republic.  We have virtually Zero Democrats offering any condemnation and too few Republicans.  However, the contrast is clear when it comes to the National Platform which Party is standing against and which is standing for America and the continuation of the Republic. 

I warn, and you can call me whatever you please, but I warn that if we allow the Leftists to take over the federal government, gain power in state and local governments we are sentencing ourselves to political death.  I cannot fathom how anyone using any modicum of reason would desire to allow the appeasers and their senescent mannequin to occupy the White House.  The present condition visible in our cities and streets should be enough to reveal how incredibly dangerous and destructive that would be.  Why it isn’t is beyond my ability to comprehend.

What is amazing is that the extremists make up no more than 15% of registered Democrats yet are controlling the narrative, the agenda, and the rhetoric.  They have effectively taken over the Democratic Party and plunging the nation into a period of darkness that can only end in blood-filled streets and end in Civil War II.  Any American that desires that, is not thinking clearly because the long-term devastation would likely produce a condition that we could never overcome.  It would, likely, be the end of the Constitutional Republic known as the United States of America. 

We have the so-called movers and shakers or captains of business boarding this train of anarchy seeking to atone for their self-inflicted guilt and win the politically correct approval.  We have the NeverTrump coalition along with a broad array of talking heads on TV, along with countless bloggers joining forces to defeat and dump Trump.  The personal animus toward this man is beyond anything I have ever witnessed or could imagine.  I believe it is rooted in something far more than simple hate for him.  It is a condition that is being manipulated and belched out of hell itself. 

How quickly we have forgotten the warnings of history and are traveling the road of Germany in the 1930s.  History reveals that Hitler was enabled to complete his quest to control when he was appointed Chancellor in 1933.  I find the similarities of Hitler’s audacity and boldness to openly declare that if his Nazi Party failed to win the election, they would seize power through violence and what is happening amazing.  We hear that threat in America in 2020 by the anarchist.  Germany attempted to appease him and his followers and that is exactly what is happening in America today. 

In Germany, the leaders of industry, fearing the impending violence of the Nazis, attempted to buy protection by funding the Nazi cause and turned their backs on the Weimar Constitution.  That is eerily like what is happening in today’s America.  Truly if we fail to remember the warnings and reality of history, we not only repeat it, but we plunge deeper into the abyss of darkness.  Is that where we are headed?  Yes, unless we wake up and defeat the current Sedition.

The Democrats, the NeverTrumpers, the Media, and other members of the Swamp think they can control this faction and see them as useful tools to attain power.  They are wrong!  This faction will turn on those allies if the attempt to control them is attempted.  If their demands are not met, they will attempt to burn the republic to the ground.  The only possible result of that would be armed resistance from the lovers of freedom and no matter which side the government endorses, War would be the result.  

The Contrast is clear and if you are willing to risk the Republic, go ahead and push your chips to the center of the table and join the Leftists.  Those of us supporting the President and objecting to the views and agenda of the Left will not be the only ones suffering, you will also.  The Republic will become an easy mark for foreign foes who want to destroy and control us.  We will see War from within and War from without and America will become a faint memory.

I believe it is that dire!  You may disagree and that is your inalienable right.  You may think I am a fear-monger, that too is your right.  You may think I am overreacting, and I hope you are right.  However, I am 100% convinced that what I am warning is not an overreaction but a reading of the handwriting on the wall.  I pray that enough people will realize the danger before it is too late and Vote in November to preserve America!

Hey Democrats, Leftists, and Trump haters, you might want to be careful what you wish for. You may find that those you are attempting to use as allies in your effort to Dump Trump become your nemesis.  Of course, none of those groups believe that is possible because of their self-perceived intellectual superiority.  That was expressed in a recent comment by a Trump Antagonist, “all the intellectual conservatives left the Republican Party when Trump was elected.”  What an arrogant, egotistical, and delusional statement.  But, alas, those on the Left and those in the Never Trump consortium believe they are smarter and more astute in political maneuvering than anyone else, so no worries, right?  WRONG!

I am not so much disturbed by anyone’s dislike for the President as the blindness that ignores the dangers lurking in the shadows if the Leftist regain total control of the government.  I keep hearing, “this is just another bump in the road, and all things political are cyclical, so no worries, this too shall pass.”  I must ask, “Will it?”  Are we truly just experiencing another minor insignificant detour on the road of life in the Republic or is something far more dangerous and sinister in the works?  I believe it is the latter, but you may believe it is the former.  At that juncture, we disagree and hopefully, we can remain civil, but alas, that is not the modus operandi or mindset of many who are so adamantly opposed to the “orange man” as they disparagingly label him.

If I called former President Obama the “Muslim man” or referred to his skin color or perceived color, I would be tarred and feathered, and the ropes would be brought out to string me up from the highest guard arm available.  Yes, that is a reference that will be trashed but is it not apropos considering the actions, attitudes, and antics of today?  Racism and hate are not relegated to one sector of society but experienced and evidenced in every community and ethnicity. 

I have asked from the beginning, “How far do we go or tolerate the efforts of the cancel culture?”  I warned, as did many others, that the effort to tear down everything related to the Civil War South would not be the end of the effort but would be expanded to our Founding Fathers and many other figures in our history.  That prediction now appears prophetic, but it was too evident to miss.  It did not take a prophet to see the dangers and the coming efforts. 

The problem with appeasement is that there is no satisfying it.  The insatiable hunger for vengeance and the craze of being empowered demands more and more.  Those who are awarded control want more control and frequently turn on each other and I predict that the Cancel Culture will eventually seek to Cancel many elements of their current alliances.  The War within the movement will spill over and impact negatively the entire nation.  It already is, but the cataclysmic devastation that is coming will be of biblical proportions.  I just heard a ‘click’ and the ‘unfriend’ button was pressed.  I’m sure I was just reported to social media and will find myself in the media Gitmo, but the truth is the truth and if acknowledged can be liberating.

The modus operandi and mantra of “divide and conquer” may produce a division within the current Cancel Culture. The drive to unseat the President, defund the police, and strip our history of all references to the past they do not approve will be bloody.  We have forgotten that our national motto, “E Pluribus Unum” is vital to our survival.  Out of many, one is needed to be restored in today’s mindset and the only way we can do that is put an end to the attempts to revise, rewrite, and cancel history and culture to appease.

I was stunned by the incredibly racist and factually inaccurate statement of Mr. Nick Cannon who made comments about whites being ‘genetically inferior’ and ‘closer to animals’ than blacks.  Had any person, not of his ethnicity made that statement about blacks he would probably not survive the hour, but Mr. Cannon said it and in many ways was applauded for his incendiary comments. 

He made a statement that I agree with, in part.  He said, wrongly to a person who was antisemitic and racists, “You’re speaking facts.  There’s no reason to be scared of anything when you’re speaking the truth.”  I agree with that last sentence.  Truth is liberating and truth should be defended and contended for in all things.  Mr. Cannon considered it a shame that the Nation of Islam leader, Louis Farrakhan had been silenced on Facebook.  He may have, but his followers have not, and his views are readily available to one and all. 

Mr. Cannon offered the ludicrous and fallacious argument that blacks are the ‘true Hebrews.’   I suggest that He might want to check with God on that.  If you are unaware of who Mr. Cannon is and his national notoriety, he is the host of the Fox competition series, “The Masked Singer.”  Fox said, he will continue, and his incendiary remarks are not justifications to remove him.  Why not apply that to others who have been banished for lesser views? 

His views are so obviously racist that even rap star Zuby called him a ‘black supremacist.’  I laughed at Mr. Zuby’s response to some of the inane and ridiculous comments Mr. Cannon made.  He said, “Wow, imagine me learning that my melanin doesn’t just protect me from sunburn, but also grants me psychic powers, heightened compassion, and a neural connection to all other melanated beings…” 

Why is he given a pass and anyone making that level of ridiculous and racist comments on the other side not?  Because of the current state of Identity Politics, the power that has been afforded the Politically Correct, and the attempts of everyone to appease the protesters.  Does anyone remember the Sarah Jeong incidents at the New York Times?  She made some of the most outlandishly racists comments about whites and it was ignored and justified by the Times. They said, “We talked to her.”  Great, did she stop?  Not to my knowledge, but hey, she was ‘talked to.’

We had a university student at the University of Virginia declare that she was uncomfortable because there were too many white people around and asked them to go elsewhere.  Like maybe off the planet and into the grave?  I guess that is the somewhere else desired for those of us Caucasians. 

How about the Seattle protest that held a march called ‘The Black Lives Matter Silent March’?  The marching orders are incredibly revealing, and the order of procession speaks volumes.

We ask that all march participants respect the following order of procession.  We want to ensure this is a Black-led march, but we encourage everyone to march with their family and loved ones.

Black youth

Black community

People of color

Elected and appointed officials, political candidates

White allies

Bikes.

The only thing lower than whites on this list were the bikes. I’m not sure if that meant bicycles and motorcycles or bikers, but you see the segregation of the order. I suggest that the separation of participants in a protest by race is racist.  I thought their objective was equality, but since one of their websites declared, “It’s Our Time” might suggest superiority is the true objective, not equality.

My objective is not to be divisive but I desire to call attention to the need that we cease viewing people through skin pigmentation and start viewing everyone as human beings, created in the image of God, and evaluate by character, not color.  I resist the division.  I view everyone as humans created in God’s image and as either those who know God or need God.

In my prayer time and meditating upon God’s Word as well as musing on what is happening in today’s America and the world, I heard something interesting in my spirit.  I realize that anyone who is not a Christian and even if you are you may find what I’m going to say odd, strange, wrong, or even heretical.  But I believe God still speaks today and speaks through many things including but not limited to His Word, the Bible.  I have had impressions that led to discoveries of God’s purposes and produced victory beyond my expectation, so I listen.  Jesus said in John 10:27, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” 

The logical conclusion of that declaration, also considering Hebrews 13:8 which declares that Jesus is the same past, present, and future, hearing requires both the ability to hear and someone to say something.  I believe hearing is more than just the audio reception of sound but understanding and comprehension.  Therefore, when I believe I have heard something, I carefully listen, muse on it, and see how it can be applied to my life and the lives of others for benefit.

What did I hear?  I felt like the Holy Spirit, my teacher, was instructing me to write about what I could write about in today’s world.  That was a bit confusing and I began to pray for clarity and understanding.  What could write about what I could write about possible mean and entail?  As I contemplated that time in prayer and thought, I thought about the issues confronting our nation and the world and felt that was what God wanted me to highlight.  I felt that I needed to identify the issues, not attempt to solve them, or give a detailed articulation of them, but just to call everyone’s attention to the things readily apparent in today’s world and news.

The dimensions and aspects of Black Lives Matter (BLM) and the events and ideological agendas that created that movement is of interest to virtually everyone.  Some view it as a needed push for social justice and civil rights.  Others see it as an orchestrated attempt to overthrow our system of government and pave the way for anarchy, chaos, totalitarianism, socialism, and Marxism.  I have learned in life that few things are exactly as they appear on the surface and understanding of the issue, the cause, and the solution requires intensive examination and often research.  It also requires much prayer!

The Police are a continuing topic of discussion for many.  The idea presented by some is that the police in America are engaged in systemic, institutional, and rabid racism.  Some paint them as such horrific creatures and insist they are acting as hunters on a search and destroy mission against blacks.  Others insist that the only pathway to any needed reform is by defunding and disbanding all police forces across America and replacing them with civilian guards. 

The police are mercilessly attacked, assassinated, and lumped into a single basket identify all by the actions of a few.  None of us would want to be so characterized in our lives, so why allow this to be directed toward any group?  In every locality where the police have been banned, restricted, defunded, or hindered, crime has risen, and citizens are endangered.  This is something that needs to be addressed and requires our devoted prayers.

The 2020 Election is paramount in most minds today.  There are those who hate the President with such a passion they want his ouster and salivate over the thought of his demise.  They are unable to consider the full body of work during his term in office and only see the man and express how much they detest.  The comparisons of the two major parties and candidates do not receive fair, honest, unbiased, and balanced consideration leaving the masses in a state of confusion.  That cannot bode well for the Republic.  The Platforms of the two major parties are not discussed as much as the two major candidates.  That is an issue that must be addressed and hopefully, I will find a way and the ability to do so in the weeks to come.

The COVID-19 or Corona Virus is always in our minds and our citizens have been stripped of many individual and constitutional liberties.  The lack of information and misinformation has successfully pitted people against each other making people largely of the same ideology antagonistic toward each other.  It is being used, in part, as a divide and conquer scheme.  People are dying, and getting sick, and the questions as to why the massive and aggressive actions by the government are largely unanswered.  We can speculate, but the best thing we can do is stop majoring on minors and pray for both the defeat of the virus and the restoration of the republic.

The matter of Gun Control keeps popping up and some of the amendments in various bills seem to include some form or pathway to that objective.  There has been a noticeable assault on various religious institutions, churches, and pastors as well as individual believers.  Those assaults are largely directed toward the followers of Christianity and Judaism and cannot be ignored. 

The Deep State is a concern that never recedes in the minds of many who are carefully watching the direction of our republic.  Racism is being resurrected and the approach seems to be destroying any gains we had made in previous years.  Abortion is a continual concern for all who value life and believe that that unborn child is deserving of the Constitutional protection of Life and should be afforded the opportunity to live the life that they would experience were they allowed to live. 

The future of America is a concern of this American and as I watch the transitions being chosen by and forced upon the public I wonder, “where are we headed?”  The Borders and Sovereignty of the nation cannot be dismissed from the discussion because of the ramifications that each holds for all legal Americans.  Education is becoming increasingly a matter of discussion and concern and the fruit of the past two or three generations educated in the public education system is evident.  The anti-establishment protesters and rioters of the ’60s are now educators in our universities. 

Healthcare and Medicine are on the menu and agenda for this election.  Joe Biden promises to make Obamacare or a variation of it mandatory, education free, and entitlements expand exponentially.  His proposed green deals, healthcare, and other proposals tally near the $10 Trillion figure.  We have not mentioned the continuing threat of foreign enemies and terrorists largely Islamic as well as the needs of our military and national security. 

America, I believe that this election is not about Trump or Biden, Republicans, or Democrats but it is about winning between Good and Evil and the survival of the Republic.  Some believe me wrong, but that is the view of my heart and the focus of my prayers.  I am praying for renewal, revival, restoration, and the return to being the Constitutional Republic we were created to be and truly become what our Pledge of Allegiance identifies as our objective, “I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”

This will likely make me persona non grata in some circles. It may get me banned from social media and placed in Facebook’s Camp Gitmo, but let’s run this up the flagpole and see what happens.  America seems to be losing if it has not lost, its collective mind.  Well, America cannot lose its mind it is a Republic, not an individual, but Americans seem to have succumbed to the lunacy of the day and lost contact with reality. 

Is there something that causes me to make that assertion?  What is prevalent today that has caused me to develop such a dim view of the mental acuity of today’s society?  Are there any pieces of evidence that support my assertion that the masses have lost contact with reality and lost all ability to think cogitatively?  If you will bear with me, I will attempt to articulate to the best of my ability my reasons.  You then can judge them, embrace or reject them, and we will move on with life.

I saw that one NBA Basketball Coach offer his attempt at solidarity and being down with the struggle by saying that he was embarrassed to be a white man.  I find that interesting that anyone of any ethnicity would make such an assertion.  Are they truly ashamed of their ethnicity or is there some more in the mix they are not stating?  I suspect that it is not that they feel they have done anything wrong but are expressing their disgust with the rest of us of their ethnicity and consider us ignorant and deplorable.  We are not enlightened and therefore are unworthy of any empathy, sympathy, or understanding. 

I have a problem with anyone of any skin-pigmentation being ashamed of their ethnicity.  You did not choose what skin color you would be, God did.  Therefore, if you reject your ethnicity for any reason, you are also rejecting the God who created you.  You are missing the possibility that you were designed to be a bridge, not a wedge.  If you stereotype all whites, blacks, browns, or any ethnic group negatively you are not seeking restoration but division.  That may not be what you think you are doing, but that is what you are doing.  STOP IT!

I am reminded of the age-old hypothetical question and one that I had on a test in a Philosophy Course in college.  “If a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it does it make a sound?”  I was shocked that about 90% of the class answered, “No.”  That is ridiculous, making a sound is not dependent upon a human being around to hear it.  My answer, to the amusement of the professor, was, “YES!”  When I attempted to defend my statement some of the most outlandish responses occurred and revealed a mindset, decades ago, that has become a harvest today.

Just because society decides something is normal that does not automatically make it normal, good, right, or acceptable.  Before you argue let me ask, “Do you think human sacrifice is acceptable even if the culture or society believes it is the right thing to do?”  If you study history, you find that the Aztec empire performed approximately 200,000 human sacrifices each year.  Many and probably most of them were children and infants.  The rituals were off the charts in cruelty and horrifying. What sane human would think that is normal and acceptable even if the entire culture agreed and approved?  Does that make it normal and right?  NO, ten thousand times NO!

If someone starves to death in some part of the world and you are not hungry or there to witness their plight does that mean it did not happen?  Did the suffering not exist because you did not see it or experience it?  Making that assertion would be ridiculous.  I would never say that there were not those in our history and human history who were treated horrifically, they were.  However, to insist that I repent and apologize to someone who did not suffer that abuse because of something someone in the past did to someone in the past is equally ludicrous.  How does that solve the problem and bridge the divide?

Our world has, in a measure, evicted God from our culture and that is deeply problematic.  It is not just problematic for my faith and religious convictions or theology but society.  When America was founded most held an unquestioning belief in things unseen (God).   Today, that has shifted to the view that if you don’t see it, it does not exist. 

The center of our society’s universe has shifted from God, the Divine to Self.  We have become a “me” world and have completely lost contact with our founding principles expressed in the Declaration of Independence.  “All men are CREATED equal…”  We have lost the value of believing that ALL have been granted unalienable rights by the Creator.  Today, many seem to believe that if your views are contrary to theirs yours must be silenced and censored and you must be punished.

We have become a society of victims.  Has there been victimization in our history and modern era?  The answer is an unequivocal, Yes!  But it is not the event that is as problematic as the mentality developed as a result.  We have transformed from being victimized to being victims and therein lies the problem. 

Some will not appreciate this reference to a biblical account, but I offer it because it can speak volumes to us and help if we can receive it.  In the early portion of the Bible, before the nation, of Israel, became the nation of Israel occupying the Promised Land, they were in Egypt.  They were slaves.  I find that transition to slavery somewhat troubling because the Bible record reveals they came to Egypt at the invitation of Pharaoh.  He invited them out of respect for Joseph who was God’s tool to save Egypt and the world from a cataclysmic condition.

They occupied the choicest of the land and prospered in a foreign land.  Somehow from the time of their arrival to the time of Moses, they were pressed into forced labor (Slavery).  It is evidenced in their attitude before their deliverance and after, in the wilderness, that they had become victims rather than those who had been victimized. 

When difficulty came, water was scarce and food was lacking they said to Moses, “We were better off in Egypt and we want to go back.”  Back to Slavery?  Seriously, you want to go back to being forced to serve the ruler rather than being free?  That suggests a mindset that had accepted their plight as being normal and acceptable.  They still shouted that they were abused but embraced their abuse as their identity.

In the New Testament, the apostle Paul makes an incredible declaration that some will snarl at.  He said in Ephesians 6:5-9 – “Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; 6 not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, 7 with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, 8 knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free. 9 And you, masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening, knowing that your own Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him.” 

Might I suggest that he was not telling them not to desire to be free but rather than viewing their plight through the eyes of being a victim view it through the eyes of being a victor.  If each of us dropped the mentality of being a victim and realized that we can be Free in our spirits, we would find peace if not release from our enslavement and condition. 

I conclude with a reference to “The Republic” where Socrates painted a picture of people who lived their entire lives chained to a blank wall.  They could see shadows and even gave names to those shadows.  The shadows became their reality.  He unveiled the idea that rational people are like prisoners who deliberately break free from the cave of victimhood and become able to see reality instead of shadows. 

We, in America, seem to be content to live chained to our wall of victimization and are incapable of breaking free and seeing reality and finding real solutions.  Hate is too much easier and vengeance seems to be sweeter.  I reject that and desire to Cancel the Cancelling of Culture.  Let’s see Reality and Live Free in our hearts, minds, and souls.

What do we accomplish when we revise or rewrite history?  About the only thing that transpires is the generation and presentation of a distorted view of history.  If the historic record was inaccurate it can be amended and corrected.  However, if the objective is to eliminate the mention of all things we disagree with or preferred not to have transpired, we harm ourselves and posterity in the process.  We do not make things better we open the door for the bad to continue and even worse things to transpire.

Why do I say that?  Simply because history is for learning as much as it is for reporting what has transpired.  History is the past, not the present or the future.  We are making history today.  Each of us is writing our own personal journal of history and we may not like what is being written but as Pontius Pilate said to the Sanhedrin who wanted him to rewrite his inscription, “What I have written, I have written.”  I may deny it, revise the presentation attempting to give it a more righteous or palatable spin but change it I cannot.  It is what it is and nothing I do with change the past.

I do not want my history rewritten or even revised; I want it forgiven!  You see my personal history from an eternal view must be forgiven and corrected going forward, but the past is the past and will remain the past for eternity.  Jesus did not come to rewrite our history but our lives.  He did not come to revise us but to transform us.  We do not look back longing for our Egypt, but we do not forget what we were and what we are now through His blood of sacrifice for our sins. 

There is a gospel song that speaks to this, “Mercy Rewrote My Life.”  It is a powerful song and filled with incredible truth and revelation.  Truly, I traveled all the wrong roads for the first 22 years of my life, then God’s Mercy rewrote my life and He gave me another chance.  I do not say a second chance because that would seem terribly restrictive and limited.  I may need more than one more chance and need His mercy every day of my life.

My history, I cannot change, but I can change my future through knowledge of the past and peace with God through Jesus Christ.  I can be and am a brand-new man.  I am not the man who served in Vietnam, nor the rebellious teenager who roamed the back roads of East Texas and the halls of Grapeland High School in Grapeland, Texas.  I am not the person who was filled with self, anger, bitterness, envy, and even hate.  I have a history and it is not pretty in the first phase, but that history continues to be written.  I cannot change the past, but I can walk a better road going forward.

The idea that we can or should rewrite our American history is not only foolish it is dangerous.  I am reminded of the Gospel Song, “Remind Me, Dear Lord.”  If we, in America, could somehow embrace the reality that we have been given freedom and liberty beyond that of virtually any nation in existence we could acknowledge our past and use it to transport us into a better future.  The words of that song that resonate so deeply in my heart regarding history are, “Roll back the curtain of memory now and then.  Show me where you brought me from and where I could have been.  Just remember I’m human and humans forget so remind me, remind me, dear Lord.”  How we need to be reminded from time to time so that we do not lose sight of the goal.

Our Declaration of Independence stated a lofty goal, one that should be our objective today.  It says poignantly, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”  The founding fathers recognized the existence and providence of God.  Many in today’s America have lost sight of that and it seems that one political party has abandoned it altogether. 

Our founding fathers presented a worldview that embraced the equality of all men.  Did they eradicate slavery at that moment or in the next few decades accord equality to all men?  No, they did not.  Was that a mistake?  How could I argue that slavery is a good thing because of the demeaning nature and restrictiveness of human beings created in the image and likeness of God? 

In the beginning, the assigning of less than full recognition of the personage of blacks by the Southern States was to alleviate some of the proposed tax or levy burdens being proposed for the new republic.  There were arguments to count blacks as 3/5^th, 3/4^th, and ½ a person.  The apportionment of delegates to the House of Representatives used that to limit, the number of seats the Southern States had.  Of the 107 seats, the South had 47 but had they only counted free citizens they would have 33.  It was not until the 14^th Amendment was adopted citizenship was granted to the freed slaves. They shifted the apportionment of representatives in the House of Representatives to be determined by counting the total number of ‘whole persons’ in each State.

The Dred Scott laws and decisions that ruled that blacks were not citizens and could not become citizens, nor enjoy the benefits of citizenship was a terrible flaw in our history.  But, erasing it from history would not erase it from having happened.  Teaching it as it is, not as any group would like to spin it is the best approach to historic studies. Our best course of action is is to learn and teach history as it really happened. We need to recognize our mistakes, errors, sins, or violations of God’s and moral law.  We should learn from our mistakes not hide them, ignore them, or deny posterity from knowing them.  If we do not know history, we cannot learn from it and cannot avoid the pitfalls of past mistakes and errors or sins.

The Cancel Culture wants to rid our public square and history of all reverences and reminders of our past is counterproductive.  No, it is not counterproductive it is unproductive and dangerous!  Most of us have learned to not do things by our failures.  I learned not only the penalty of violation of my parent’s rules but the reason they wanted me to follow a different path.  I was able to guide my children through the lessons I learned, and they are able to pass that knowledge along to those following them. 

No person has a God-given right to not be offended.  We have the privilege and obligation to choose to not be offended but not the right to demand that no one do anything that offends us.  One expression, that has come out of the movements driving the protests and riots today is, “Now, it is our turn.”  That is as ominous as it sounds and seems to express the view that ‘payback’ is justified and desired.  It seems to express the view that since blacks were enslaved in America it is time and justified for whites to now become slaves to the blacks. 

Do I believe that all blacks believe or desire that?  NO!  I believe that a small segment desire that. I believe that the 2-3% driving this bus want a Marxist Revolution and are willing to and desirous of blood being shed by those they deem to have ancestors who harmed blacks. 

None of us are responsible for what our ancestors did.  We are responsible to avoid the mistakes they made.  We are responsible to reject the bias and prejudice they embraced if they did.  We are fully responsible to join All Americans in the pursuit of the stated objective of the Declaration of Independence and afford everyone the Right and Privilege of having Life and living it possible.  We are to seek to ensure that everyone has Liberty and can live without undue infringement by the government or other groups.  Also, that we should be allowed to pursue Happiness and follow our hearts in worship and expression.

I believe in America and believe in God.  I will stand for Faith, Family, and Freedom as long as I live and vote to preserve our Union and our Republic. That means, I believe that Everyone is Important, and No One should be excluded from the equal protection of the Law and enjoy the full benefits of being an American Citizen if they are one legally.

Well, it is not so new but has exploded exponentially over the past few years and has gone viral and spreading faster than the Wuhan Virus every dreamed.  It is ripping America to shreds and will end in our destruction if we continue allowing hate from any sector to thrive and become the ‘New Normal.’ 

I am worn out from all the HATE!  Let me say it this way, “I Hate Hate!”  How’s that for epiphora, epiplexis, irony, or maybe even sarcasm?  The reality is, no matter how one might classify my statement, “I Hate Hate” it represents an issue that is hovering over our society like an ominous cloud of destruction.  Hate is separating, dividing, and pitting factions who would otherwise be open to discussion and reason bitter antagonist.  Hate has become so prevalent it appears to have become the “New Norm” in behavioral standards.  That is tragic and deadly!

I hear Hate from the Left and it is countered with Hate from the Right.  I hear Hate from blacks, and it is countered with Hate from whites.  I hear Hate from Liberals and it is countered with Hate from Conservatives.  I hear Hate from non-Christians, and I am now hearing Hate from Christians.  Hate may be wrapped in a pretty package and called justified anger, but Hate is Hate and will always be Hate!  It is evil, destructive, and damaging to every aspect and dimension of life.  It is dangerous and damaging to the psyche, the physical, and society.  It is a destroyer and is creating a terminal condition in our world. 

You may find my words objectionable and that is fine. You may lash out at me with hate-filled words and that is your choice.  You may agree or disagree with me, that is your inalienable right.  We all have choices and make them every day.  Some see love as an emotion and demand that it must be earned.  I see it as a choice and believe it to be a gift, not something earned.  I believe that respect is earned, but love is given.  Thank God, the Love of God is not something I must earn but is a Gift!  (John 3:16).

If you hate anyone based on the pigmentation of their skin, you are a racist and a bigot.  I’m sorry, that is the truth even if you were horribly abused by persons of that ethnicity.  You have succumbed hate’s clutches and become enslaved by it.  It now consumes you and unless you find a way to release it, it will destroy you.  You will never be able to trust, enjoy life, live free, and unencumbered from the burden you have placed on yourself to become the arbiter of political or racial correctness.  Your Hate has become your God and your religion.  That is deadly!

Yes, I am being dramatic and probably preaching a message that few will be to allow to resonate in their hearts and minds.  Yes, many have been abused in one fashion or another.  Yes, there has been and is racial discrimination, gender discrimination, religious discrimination, and other variations.  None of those justify Hating other human beings. 

I fully endorse Hating sin and the works of the devil.  I fully endorse Hating evil and the effects it has on lives.  However, the problem in today’s world is that we have lost sight of the only legitimate object of Hate and turned that emotion and attitude on fellow humans.  That sows the seeds of destruction and will never enable us to achieve the objectives supposedly sought.

I am a Christian and say that unashamedly.  My views, social, societal, political, financial, and spiritual are based on my understanding of God’s Word and Way.  Could I be wrong in some of my views?  Absolutely, because we know in part and are continuously growing and learning, or we should be.  I have modified some of my views in virtually every area of life in my 70+ years on the planet and my 50+ years as a Christian and minister of the gospel.  If the LORD permits me more years on the planet, I will likely modify, some of them in the years that are ahead. 

However, I adamantly declare that Hate is Not acceptable, and I ask that we all STOP IT!  Stop allowing push to come to shove and tit to become tat where we give back more than we received and fan the flames of hate and discord.  It is not a requirement that we Hate other people.  In fact, it is a requirement that we Do Not!  In Proverbs 10:12 we read, “Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all offenses.”  The apostle John declared, “Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.”  (1 John 3:15). 

God Hates Hate!  (Proverbs 6:16-19).  We were told in Leviticus 19:17-18, “You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you incur sin because of him.  You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against the sons of your own people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.”  Our LORD Jesus commanded, “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.  By this, all people will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35).

No matter the package or attempt of justification for Hate it is always the ugly work of destruction.  We read in Proverbs 10:18, “The one who conceals hatred has lying lips, and whoever utters slander is a fool.”  That goes for the Left, the Right, blacks, whites, men, or women.  It applies to EVERYONE!  Therefore, I plead, STOP THE HATE! 

Let me make this as clear as I can, I will speak against evil and identify the purveyors of evil agendas.  I will call for the rejection of political parties and ideologies as well as certain religious tenets and practices that violate God’s Laws.  I will never fear to speak against what I believe wrong, but I will endeavor with everything in me to not make the attack personal or spew forth hatred for individuals.  I do not rejoice when a person who stands on the opposite side of any issue dies or suffers harm and damage.  I would prefer that they saw the light. 

Some will take many things that I write and say as hypocritical and insist that I am a bigot and a racist because I speak against the agenda of the Leftist Socialist and Marxists.  I reject the idea that only Black Lives Matter or that it is somehow demeaning to any ethnicity for me to declare that All Lives Matter.  I ask that you leave me out of the Hate that is in your heart if it exists.  This morning the old song from 1965, the year of my High School graduation came to mind.  Jackie DeShannon released, “What The World Needs Now Is Love.”  That is what we need but more than just human love we need God’s Love!

Love me or hate me, accept me or reject me, I choose to Love you and we may disagree, and I will fight for what I believe peaceably, legally, morally, and politically.  I will protect my family and my property.  I will stand for America and God.  I will stand for Faith, Family, and Freedom.  But, I plead, can we STOP THE HATE?

Let me eliminate some readers at the outset and say, “When God Matters!”  I am not trying to offend or alienate anyone but until we return to a moral foundation and our ship of state and life become moored to the principles of morality as taught in the Bible it won’t happen.  No life will truly matter and only those that advance our cause and agenda will be deemed worthy of defense.  That is beyond tragic, but a condition I see in America and the world today.

I’m sure some will disagree but our founding fathers, as they declared in our notification to Great Britain of our intent to separate and become independent, believed in a divine creator and that He gave all men certain untouchable rights.  The words,“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness,” expresses that belief.  Yet, there are those today who insist that the founders were highly immoral racists pigs whose views are unworthy of consideration.  How tragic!

The Left attempts to use Thomas Jefferson as their ally when it is convenient and makes him utterly reprehensible when it is not.  They do the same with all our Founding Fathers and vilify everyone in history whose life and position does not advance their agenda.  One of the more recent declarations by a Leftist, CNN’s Don Lemon that “admittedly Jesus was imperfect while on earth” is revealing far beyond his words. 

His view, which is heretical to my faith, exposures a biblical ignorance beyond imagination. It is an expression of a view prevalent among the Leftists, Socialists, Marxists, Progressives, and those burning, looting, and destroying our nation.  There has been a concerted attack on the Bible, God, the Christian religion, and anyone embracing that view for years.  The Democratic Party has definitively aligned itself with those who consider Christianity either antiquated or offensive.  That is tragic!

In our American history, both Democrat and Republican Presidents, and members of Congress expressed a belief in the existence of God and an appreciation of His divine providence in enabling America to be birthed.  That birth of the fledgling nation in the late 1700’s has produced a venue whereby ALL PEOPLE who are under the banner of protection of this nation can and have prospered. 

Are there poor among us?  Do we have examples of bias and prejudice?  Have there been reprehensible actions and activities both by the government and individuals?  YES, YES, and YES!  However, even in some of our darkest times relationally, all sides continued to recognize that there is a God and He has, in His providence, afforded us the privilege of living under the best system of government created by man.  We have enjoyed freedom beyond that of any other nation and had been slowly working through our difficulties. 

That view took a dramatic shift just a few years ago and with the election of the man identified as the first ‘black’ president. It took a turn for the worse.  Mr. Obama was half black and half white, having a black father and a white mother, yet he rejected any whiteness and embraced his blackness.  That was and is his choice.  However, when he immediately took aim at whites, Christianity, and America my concerns were amplified.  

The fact that Mr. Obama sat under the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, an openly antisemitic and biased individual who frequently made racist comments and called for racist actions is troubling.  The reverend said loudly, “God d**m America,” and shouted his hatred for this nation, and everything we stand it was revealing and troubling.  Mr. Obama said that he did not know the good reverend’s views on race, but he was part of that church for 20 years.  How could he not know? 

I believe that “Black Lives Matter” but as I have repeatedly said, “Unborn Lives Matter, White Lives Matter, Brown Lives Matter, ALL LIVES MATTER!”  They matter to God and until God becomes important to America again, we are going to continue down the path of discord, disruption, anarchy, chaos, and destruction.  We are going to watch our society crumble around us, and our system of government and economy evaporate becoming a memory as the creeping tide of Socialism, Marxism, Totalitarianism, and Tyranny prevail.  Yes, that is a ‘Gloom and Doom’ view but one that I see inevitable UNLESS!

The “unless”, in my view is unless God Becomes Important to Us Again.  I won’t attempt to overload you with the myriad of quotes and examples of our Founding Fathers expressing that God mattered.  Their expressed views are in such amply supply it is impossible to ignore. 

I wish everyone would become a believer in God and Jesus Christ, but I know that is not going to happen.  However, based on the founding principles and basic reason we should know that moral depravity and a state where everyone becomes a law unto themselves is not a workable condition.  If you deem your views and rights more important and valuable than mine, you will seek to oppress and suppress mine to advance yours.  That produces a condition that is a breeding ground for WAR.  How far will anyone be pushed before they push back?

I am deeply disturbed that many churches and pastors have opted to take the road of silence hoping to leave the politics to the politicians.  I would never ask that any pastor become political in their preaching and teaching of the Bible. 

However, I would ask that they warn when they see danger.  I would ask that they identify those things politicians are doing that violate the directives of Scripture.  I would ask that they decry the moral depravity and the advancement of ideological agendas that support abortion, lasciviousness, hate, vengeance, murder, and allow the government to introduce programs that decimate the home and the two-parent family.  I would ask that they speak out where the Bible speaks and remain silent where the Bible is silent.  I ask that they seek to introduce people to the Love of God and call for moral rightness. We need to once again, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.”  

If we allow hate to fester and ignore God and His guide for life, we will destroy ourselves.  So, when will “Any Life Matter?”  I insist that it is when “God Matters Again!”  Until then, we will continue the pathway to destruction.  I refuse to hate based on ideology, skin pigmentation, or anything else.  I hate sin!  I hate the devil!  I love people because we are all created in the image of God and that makes us brothers and sisters.  We either know God or we need God and I see two ethnicities in this world, “Lost and Saved.”  I see one race not multiple.  I see one race, the Human Race. 

You can love me or hate me, agree or disagree, that is your choice.  But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD and call for a return to Him and moral moorings.
