TOLERATING THE INTOLERANT…

I have been sounding the alarm for a very long time about the dangers of forcing of tolerance by the intolerant.  The intolerant politically correct liberal leftists agenda that seeks to force all of us to tolerate and become compliant is intolerable. That assertion has landed me in hot water in some religious circles, many political venues, and with social media.  I have been called everything thing under the sun and accused of advancing hate and faux Christianity.

It is not the name-calling that bothers me, but the lack of awareness of what has become a creeping erosion of our America through political correctness and the increasing dangers of Islamization of our government.  That statement will not play well with the intolerant who demand tolerance nor with social mediums I utilize.  However, if I am allowed, I will give more detail to my argument and explain my concerns.  If at the end of that presentation, you disagree, that is your God-given right and privilege.  We will disagree.

I had a person ask me a few days ago, “How did Islam manage to acquire such a noticeable place of influence in our government?”  That has troubled me for a long time.  It is undeniable that under the Obama administration the followers of Islam were given front of the line access to many government figures and agencies.  We were threatened by Attorney General Loretta Lynch with prosecution if we spoke against Islam and sounded the alarms about their push to achieve sharia law in America.  That was more than a little disturbing.

If we observe what is happening in the world it is difficult not to become aware of the growth of Islamic political clout in Europe and in America.  How did that happen?  One of the paths allowing this growth has been indifference or lack of awareness on the part of politicians and citizens.

The followers of Islam, especially the fundamentalist in that religion or system of government want world domination and they state that for all to hear.  Back in the 1970s, the late Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre made an enlightening statement.  He said: “As long as Muslims are an insignificant minority in a Christian country, they can live on friendly terms because they accept the laws and customs of the country that receives them.  But as soon as they become numerous and organize, they become aggressive and try to impose their laws, which are hostile to [Western] civilization.”

The West and especially America has a keen awareness of terrorism.  Although there are those in our Republic and government who refuse to acknowledge that much of the terrorist activity is part of Islamic jihad, it is.  Islamic terrorism produces a significant percentage of worldwide terrorist activity.  Ignoring that can prove to be a fatal mistake.

In our quest for tolerance, we have insisted that only the radical Islamist embrace the most fundamental tenets of Islam.  However, if one reads their holy book, it is impossible to note the passages that call for people to convert to Islam or face execution or enslavement.  That religion allows pedophilia, beheading or stoning of those not following their religious tenets or refusing to convert.  That is the height of intolerance and is totally absent of peacefulness and coexistence.

We have focused on ISIS or ISIL, Iran, and other terrorist-sponsoring nations nationally.  Unfortunately, the politicians and people in power are being courted with mountains of cash and other enticements by Islamic nations who are supposedly our allies.  What has that produced?  It has opened a significant door to the ‘Dawa’ (Islamic proselytizing).  The growth of the influence of Islam in many American cities has resulted in Sharia Zones in those cities.  Our American law enforcement no longer patrols those areas and they rule under Islamic law which is a direct violation of our American constitution.

The more members of Congress or government agents embrace Islam the more we will see the demanded tolerance of the intolerant imposed.  It is no secret that the leaders of the pursuit of worldwide ‘Dawa’ and pursuit of world dominance encourage the use of the electoral process to advance their cause.  Congresswoman Ilhan Omar demanded before being sworn in that Congress reveres its 181-year ban on the wearing of any headgear.  She was able to wear her hijab which is religious attire, but other members of Congress are forbidden to display a cross on the floor of Congress.

Islamists have infiltrated our Western Education Systems and some of our American schools have courses favorable to the teachings of Islam but ban all references to the Bible and Christianity.  The result of that is our youth are so indoctrinated with the PC demand for tolerance they consider allowing sharia-based lifestyles as acceptable.  We are told it is in the spirit of our 1st Amendment that they must be allowed freedom of religion.  I support religious freedom for everyone but oppose allowing any religion to impose their views and laws on others.

About 80% of the 1,200 mosques operating in America have been built since 2003.  We have witnessed the rise in influence and power of various terrorist-linked NGOs (non-profit organizations operating independently of any government whose purpose is to address social or political issues), grow more prominent.  Some of those have direct links to Islamic terrorists, including CAIR, and the Islamic Society of North America.  They have funneled truckloads of cash into the coffers of various politicians in various means and bought access and influence.  They have succeeded in influencing many of our politicians to capitulate to the Islamic ‘needs’ in America.

The followers of Islam are reproducing and actively engaged proselytizing.  Pew Research reported that there are approximately 1.8 billion Muslims worldwide.  That would make them the 2nd largest religion, second only to Christianity.  It has been projected that by the end of this century the followers of Islam will become the largest religious group worldwide.  They are reproducing at the rate of 2.7 children per family and Christians are logged in at about 2.2 children per family.  That may not sound like a significant number, but it is when extrapolated over a few decades and millions of people.

Our younger generation is postponing or not having children largely based on financial concerns.  When that is added to the reality that many ‘middle and upper’ class families no longer parent their children, it becomes alarming.  The followers of Islam engage in devoted teaching of their religion and beliefs to their children, but many Americans leave that to the educators, entertainers, or activists to shape their worldview and values.

In 1970 there were about 100,000 Muslims in America and today there are over 4 million.  Former Libyan dictator Colonel Muammar Gadaffi declared in 2006: “We have 50 million Muslims in Europe.  There are signs that Allah will grant Islam victory in Europe – without swords, without guns, without conquest – we will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades.”  The blood-curdling words of former Algerian President Houari Boumediene to the UN illustrates my concern.  He said: “One day, millions of men will leave the Southern Hemisphere to go to the Northern Hemisphere.  And they will not go there as friends.  Because they will go there to conquer it.  And they will conquer it with their sons.  The wombs of our women will give us victory.”

America, I believe in tolerance but when the intolerant demand that we abandon our values and views and our Constitution and law, we must resist and reject them.  Any politician who facilitates this lunacy should be shown the door.  This is another of the many misguided and malicious ideological positions of the Left that cause me to reject them.  Wake up America!

God bless you and God bless America!

DESTROYING AMERICA FROM WITHIN…

The Destruction of America from within has been predicted by numerous communist leaders in the past and our founding fathers warned of that possibility.  I saw some comments and theories advanced by Pat Buchanan that trouble me, if he is right.  I sometimes agree with Buchanan and sometimes find that I cannot embrace his reasoning and suggestions.  But that is nothing new, I feel that way about every politician or national leader.  I guess I could or should say, I find that the case with every human on the planet with whom I engage in dialogue.  We do not all agree or always agree, and that is the beauty of man and our Free Republic.  In fact, I believe a certain level of disagreement is healthy because it brings more ideas and potential solutions to the discussion.

Back in April, Pat Buchanan described democracy as being in a ‘death spiral’ and recently he said it was a ‘dying species.’  I won’t get into the argument that America is not a direct democracy but a republic and representative democracy, that would be too lengthy for this discussion and not completely germane.  Buchanan and many others, including myself, agree that the two-party system in Washington, DC is in a state of irreversible ‘gridlock.’  That is lamentable because, as we have witnessed for over the past three years, the lack of interest in governing by the Left and the often incompetence of many on the Right.

Buchanan argues that comity and collegiality are vanishing, and in that, I believe he has a valid point.  He insists that in Europe splinter parties arise and ‘illiberal democracies’ take power.  I do believe that he is correct in his assertion that we are experiencing a significant moral and social decline in the West.  I believe that condition is being imposed and advanced by many of those governing us.  It is trickling down from those in power and given legs by the Media.  I believe it is a systematic orchestrated and designed a plan to divide and conquer.  Those pushing that agenda are not interested in the betterment of America but the control of its citizens.

I do believe we have been witnessing the dangerous rise of the political elite which is becoming or has become a permanent governing class.  I do believe that we the people are increasingly losing our ability to give oversight, direction, and are systematically being dis-empowered governmentally.  That dis-empowerment and the attempt to control us produced the Tea Party and were a major factor in the election of Donald J. Trump in 2016.  I believe that his election was as much a rejection of political elitism as it was anything else.

The rise and legitimizing of political correctness, the insistence that citizens in various walks of life undergo diversity training has and is doing great harm to our nation.  Do I believe that we need to be tolerant and accepting?  Yes, with qualifications.  I believe that we should view all people regardless of skin color, sexual orientation, religion, or political ideology as humans and treat them with respect.  That tolerance and acceptance ends when any of those segments attempt to force their views on everyone else.  No one, not me, not you, not anyone has the right to force another to adopt their beliefs or preferences.

If you attempt to force me to accept a set of religious beliefs that violate my convictions, I will resist.  If you attempt to force me to embrace your chosen sexual lifestyle, a lifestyle that is anathema to my faith, I will resist.  If you attempt to force me to embrace any ethnicity as deserving of dominance over another, I will resist.

I owe others nothing but respect, providing they do not violate that olive branch. Likewise, they owe me nothing.  I seek to follow the Golden Rule, but when a person makes it clear that their intent is to destroy me, I resist.  I will when necessary, practice my inalienable right for self-defense.  I will practice my inalienable right to freedom of speech, religion, and my right to pursue life, liberty, and happiness.  I also agree that you have the same rights.

Intrusive bureaucratic government is becoming more a norm than I am comfortable with.  In our Republic, the form of government is supposed to be determined by electoral approval.  Simply stated, we the people are supposed to decide what our government is and the direction it takes.  If the elected representatives do not follow our wishes, we are supposed to have the option and opportunity to reject them at the polls and allow them the opportunity to pursue other interests.  That is becoming increasingly more difficult with gerrymandering, voter fraud, and the commandeering of national political parties by the political elitist.

In Canada, most of their population voted for policies and politicians who advance an ideology that I adamantly oppose.  It seems that too frequently in such nations the conservative alternative offers a bland brand of conservatism and fails to attract much attention.  In France, 66% of the people voted against the nationalist Marine Le Pen and for the globalist Emmanuel Macron.  Most of them were indigenous French, not third-world immigrants.  That is revealing of the drift or shift or our world toward the dangerous idea of globalism and the incoherent offerings of Socialism.

I am quite concerned that without a resurgence of fearless leaders who are unafraid to tackle the sacred cows of political cronyism in Washington, regardless of who is in power we are destined for more of the same.  In many ways, I find myself increasingly thankful for a man like Donald Trump.  Not because I view him as a saintly or a highly moral person, I don’t know him well enough to make those judgments.  He makes me cringe, at times, in what he says or how he says it.  However, it is apparent to me that He truly loves America and wants to see her restored to greatness.

I am thankful for someone like Trump who resists the status quo in an unashamed and fearless manner.  He is bold as a lion when it comes to standing up to the establishment.  He believes what he believes and as a pragmatist and businessman, he seeks to find a solution.  Is he an egotist?  What person seeking any national political office isn’t?  Most of us like recognition and are thrilled when given credit for accomplishments.  If we eliminated human ego from society, we would have no politicians, no athletes, no actors and actresses, no entertainers, and society would be incredibly boring.  Ego is a part of the human psyche and held in check and channeled properly is a positive force.

I sometimes engage in discussions about third-parties and alternative candidates.  The discussion centers around alternatives to the Republican or Democrat, and most of the time, I see them as no-win candidates.  We have witnessed the power of the spoiler role in those third-party offerings.  One of the most glaring is Ross Perot who gave us Bill Clinton and defeated George H.W. Bush.  Was that good for America?  I do not believe it was.  I considered the elder Bush a globalist and left-leaning Republican, but I considered Bill Clinton’s liberalism even more damaging to America.  Clinton’s liberalism helped elect George W. Bush, but it also opened the door and blazed the trail for Barack Obama and that door is more frightening than any haunted house at Halloween.

I do believe that our system of government is in danger and it is imperative that all America’s patriots rise and reject the present offering of the New Democratic Socialism being advance by every Democrat desiring to be President.  Please vote NO on the toxicity of liberalism in November 2020.

God bless you and God bless America!

MY PARENTS and THE BIBLE TAUGHT ME THE VALUE OF VALUES…

We live in a terribly disillusioned and delusional world.  That is possibly an understatement of understatements considering the PC world of today.  I sometimes wonder what some of these people, many are my age and older, were taught by their parents.  I frequently wonder if they have ever read the Bible because the ideology they embrace and are advancing is foreign to its precepts.  I’m sure some on the Left and Right will disagree with that last assessment, but I believe it to be the truth.

My voice is not the only voice sounding the alarm regarding the lunacy, damage, and danger of attempting to create a Utopian world filled with ‘safe spaces’ where the snowflakes can hide.  My parents did not tolerate pouting and allowing hurt feelings to fester.  All of us have had our feelings hurt.  However, the rights of others do not end where my feelings begin.  Just because, my ego was bruised or my emotions were wounded by words or deeds of another, that does not mean I have the right to demand their censure.  It means that we need to do what my parents taught me, and the Bible teaches about dealing with others.

The Bible in Matthew 18 gives very clear and valuable instruction on dealing with offenses.  It gives a step by step process that almost none follow but would resolve a vast majority of interpersonal problems if followed.  The first step is go to the person in a face to face meeting before publishing the offense to the world.

You do not go with a vindictive attitude but one that conveys your desire for reconciliation and clarification.  You identify the offense but do not become offensive and retaliatory in your conversation.  If you are truly trying to resolve the issue not get your pound of flesh, your attitude and words will be filled with grace, not hate and hostility.  It is first, one on one, then with two or three mature individuals who do not have an ax to grind, then take it to the whole church if necessary.  Forgiveness and restoration should be our desire.

Some may feel that that pathway works for Christians and church members but not people on opposing sides of political issues.  I ask, why won’t it work in all areas of life?  Is the Golden Rule not applicable in life? In times of conflict, I will often remind myself of the Golden Rule and the instructions of Proverbs 15.  Soft answers may not always cause anger to subside, but they steal from hate its power.

My parents did not tolerate whining.  I was told more than once to ‘get over it.’ No, they did not use a meaningless cliché but attempted to teach me that hurt feelings were not justifications for bad behavior on my part.  They taught me common sense and values and instilled in my heart and mind that I was owed nothing by others.  I was sometimes reminded that everyone has an opinion, likes, and dislikes, and sometimes people would be thoughtless and inconsiderate.

My parents frequently insisted that I remember how the incident made me feel and taught the lesson that I should never treat anyone in the same manner.  In short, they taught me to grow up and become a mature responsible person.  They taught me that life could be hard, harsh, cruel, and unfriendly, but it was the best game in town.  I was taught to live my own life and not allow anyone to control how I felt or how I lived.

In America, it appears that common sense (uncommon today) and values have left the building.  The selfishness and entitlement mentality that is pervasive today pose a significant threat to peace.  The fictional world where no one can be offended requires common sense to be abandoned.  That ‘safe space’ world is a creation of the mind of those who are unable or unwilling to deal with the realities of life.

Dennis Prager and liberal comedian Adam Carolla have produced a new documentary “No Safe Spaces” that is powerful.  If anyone is concerned about the condition of our society and the dangers it poses to our Freedom of Speech should see it.  There is a concerted effort in America to limit freedom of speech.  Both Prager and Carolla acknowledge that ‘common sense and values’ are disappearing in modern America.

That documentary in a surprising manner, somehow manages to draw agreement within disagreement from both sides of the political spectrum that this push is dangerous and damaging.  They include people from both sides of the political thought of some ultra liberal and activists.  Those liberals admitted, though may unwittingly that when the progressive notions of microaggression and safe spaces become the new normal our freedom of speech is endangered.

Dennis Prager’s observation concerning the uniqueness of our constitutional guarantee of Freedom of Speech is worthy of mention.  He said: “What’s happening now in the United States, you are not to be heard on a college campus, or at your workplace.  This is brand new.  This is one of the few things one could say we have no precedent for in the United States.”  It is noteworthy to mention that Ben Shapiro’s speech at Berkley cost the University $600,000 in security required due to threatened protests.  Shapiro’s speech included his belief that there are still students on campuses across America “who do not believe that the First Amendment should die under the jackboots and Birkenstocks of a bunch of anarchists, communistic pieces of garbage.”  The reaction was a standing ovation!

When Freedom of Speech is silenced with charges of bigotry, hate speech, racism, homophobia or any other divisive and inflammatory accusation, Freedom of Speech dies and society moves one step closer to anarchy and destruction.  When students are no longer taught to think critically and debate ideas with civility, Freedom of Speech dies.

When students are no longer taught civics and the constitution allowing the manipulation of thought by the nefarious activist posing as professors, Freedom of Speech dies.  A university should be, as Dennis Prager argues, “the place of ideas.”  Sadly, most universities today are nothing more than purveyors of activism and the dismantling of our Freedoms.  That is more than a minor threat, it is deadly.

We do not have the luxury of waiting for the indoctrinated youth to grow up and realize that the world was never designed to provide them a ‘safe space’.  We must act now, and one of our first actions must be political.  We must defeat as many proponents of the snowflake, safe space mentality as possible.  We must reclaim our government and therein reclaim education and societal interactions by protecting our Freedom of Speech.

America, if we allow the toxicity of the current liberal agenda to prevail, we will witness the demise of Freedom of Speech along with our Free Constitutional Republic.  I believe the 2020 elections are that serious and ask everyone to earnestly pray, seriously think, and by all means vote.  I am voting No on the destructive path of today’s liberal ideology.

God bless you and God bless America!

WHERE ARE THE FEARLESS REPUBLICANS?

The Democrats have no qualms about outing anyone and everyone when they believe it helps their cause and advance their rhetoric, spin, and agenda.  Where are the Republicans with the same fearlessness?  Where are the Republicans who can and will articulate the truth, define true conservativism and constitutionalism and demand the Rule of Law be adhered to?  Where are they?  If you find them, please let us know.

We have endured a coup attempt orchestrated by what can rightly be identified as the Deep State.  This charade has been ongoing for over three years and will likely continue until Donald Trump is no longer President and the Democrats hold the full reins of government.  If Trump is reelected, and I pray that he will be, we will see a ramped-up effort to resist, obstruct, and destroy him and the promised agenda.  America be damned seems to be their view.  They have a singular objective and that is control through destruction.  That makes their agenda more than troubling it may prove terminal for the Republic.

Adam Schiff, the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, and now Nadler have and are conducting their ‘inquires’ using Gestapo style tactics.  They are continuously trampling on the rights of the minority on the committees, ignoring facts, advancing fabrications and illegally leaking information to the press.

Congressman Adam Schiff has made ludicrous claim that he does not know the identity of the so-called ‘whistle-blower.’ That assertion should have emboldened the Republicans and a true champion of Freedom should have arisen and immediately exposed his pretense.  The Republicans appeared anything but emboldened and that did not happen.

Adam Schiff or his staff met with the ‘whistle-blower’ and orchestrated the complaint.  They knew who he was long before he went to the ICIG and it is plausible to believe that they coached him and possibly wrote his complaint for him.  Many, including Senator Rand Paul, has identified the man as Eric Ciaramella.  He was a John Brennan plant in the White House to spy on Trump.  He is joined at the hip in this conspiracy with Alexandra Chalupa another protected potential witness the Republicans want to question.  How deep does this go and how high up in the previous administration do the tentacles of this corruption reach?  Someone said, “Only God knows.”  However, I believe that many in Washington know.

Lt. Colonial Vindman, a man whose service in the military I appreciate and applaud is verifiable member of the resistance.  His testimony was more hearsay than anything and largely rooted in his connections with the unidentified member of the intelligence community he consulted.  Schiff interrupted Congressman Nunes in his questioning of the Lt. Colonel and attempted to insist that it was legally disallowed to ‘out’ the whistle-blower.  That is a blatant lie and Schiff knows it.  Nunes knows it too, so why did he back off?  Where is the fearless determination to pull back the veil and expose this farce to the world?

The ‘whistle-blower’ has no statutory right to anonymity.  He has a right to protection but not anonymity.  The Intelligence Community Whistle-blower Protection Act clearly establishes rules for anyone to report waste, fraud, abuse, and corruption.  It has legal protections against reprisals and punishment but not anonymity.  Congress may elect to keep the name secret but there is no law that demands it.  If someone accuses another of wrong-doing the accused should have the right to face his/her accuser face to face.

Even New York University’s Law School published an article that debunks Schiff’s claim of legal protection through anonymity.  The article’s analysis was: “Many of those seeking to protect the whistle-blower argue that it is unlawful to publicly identify an anonymous whistle-blower. Whether that is, in fact, the case is complicated and highlights a significant flaw in how the whistle-blower protection laws actually apply,” wrote national security expert Kel McClanahan, who runs the D.C.-based National Security Counselors, in the journal article. “Simply put, there is no clear, unambiguous provision in either the criminal or civil law generally prohibiting the disclosure of a whistle-blower’s identity.”

Ronald Reagan was the first conservative in decades that was able to articulate conservatism, constitutionalism, and republicanism.  His message resonated with the American people and he won not one but two elections.  Donald Trump has arisen for such a time as this and has offered hope to millions of Americans who are fed up with the ‘status quo’ and ‘business as usual nothingness’ Congress has engaged in for decades.

Donald Trump, among other things, presents a thorn in the side of those who are devoted advocates of a Universal Government.  What I mean is his America first is a fly in the ointment of those who want a UN type world government where no nation is sovereign and has its own protected borders.  After all, in their view, we are all citizens of the world.  That philosophy is anathema to the principles of Freedom and the basic concept of America’s founding.  Many of our modern presidents were a member of organizations such as the Trilateral Commission or other Universal Governance Groups.  Trump has been other than that and that makes him dangerous to them.

There are many other reasons he is hated including his protection of our 1st and 2nd Amendment Rights.  His willingness to defend our Religious Freedom has targeted him and branded him as some diabolically deranged person unworthy of breathing the air of the planet.  Sadly, even some members of the clergy, with national voices, have joined the chorus of decrying his positions.  His willingness to stand in opposition to abortion on demand has added to the hate.  His success is a constant irritant to those on the Left and some openly lament that the economy is robust, hoping of a recession.

It is time for the Republicans in Congress to take the appropriate actions and fight for us fearlessly rather than fecklessly.  They know possibly more than we, the dangers lurking in the bureaucratic shadows.  If they are not willing to throw caution to the wind, forget about long political careers, drop their quest for acceptance and power and stand for us we need to help them move on.  I want the Swamp drained no matter which letter follows the name.

God help us win in 2020 and continue the fight to restore the government to the ownership and oversight of the people.  Let’s return to being a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people.”  America is too great a prize to become timid.  We need Mighty Men and Women in Congress to stand fearlessly for America and do what they promised – Set us free from government strangulation!

God bless you and God bless America!

CHANGING TIMES or TIME TO CHANGE POLITICALLY?

Before anyone assumes that I mean time to abandon the Conservative, Constitutional political agenda and dump Trump, I mean it is time for all on the Right to Stand their Ground!  It has been painfully obvious for several decades that the Republicans and Establishment “Conservatives” have run for the shadows when the Leftists attack.  There are many possible reasons for that phenomenon but none valid, so it is Time to Change the Political Winds in Washington.

It is my observation that some on the Right have begun to do that, largely thanks to the election of Donald J. Trump as the 45th President of these United States.  He is a New York street fighter and businessman who seems to be undeterred by the rhetoric, tactics, innuendo, and fallacious charges of the Left.  I won’t say he is not affected by it because he reacts and pushes back forcefully.  However, I will say, he is undaunted by it as he pursues the agenda, he promised on the campaign trail.

I have heard, supposedly astute political analysts, insist that the Democrats are better political tacticians than the Republicans.  I have never truly believed that but their victory in sending the spineless Republicans into the shadows is a reason, to reevaluate what has been going on and attempt to discern why.  The argument that the Democrats are unequaled in their political tactics and use of the mainstream and social media does not resonate with me.  I do not believe their tactical success is because they are superior tacticians, but they have been dealing with the fecklessness of the so-called opposition party.

I recently read the 2,500-year-old admonitions of the Chinese philosopher and military strategist, Sun Tzu in “The Art of War.”  He said: “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles.  If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat.  If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in battle every time.”  In many ways that is a perfect description of the past 30 or 40 years of the Republican Party’s dealings with the Democrats and liberalism.

Tzu also said: “It is the unemotional, reserved, calm warrior who wins, not the hothead seeking vengeance and not the ambitious seeker of fortune.”  That could easily be applied to both sides on the political battleground.  They both, too frequently, lash out without demonstrating calm assurance and control.  Also, almost every national politician has a thirst for vengeance, is driven by ambition, and seeks their own personal fortune and fame.  Ambition and seeking prosperity are not evil itself, but when it damages the Republic and tramples on the people for personal gain, it is.  That has been the state of politics for decades.

There are people on the Right and on the Left, who detest this president.  I get that. I acknowledge that his personality and some of his dealings in the past may be grating.  However, when I look at the full body of work he has pursued and achieved in his three years in office, I am both impressed and thankful.  I often wonder what could have been done had the Establishment Republicans and RINOs gotten behind the promised agenda.  What could we have achieved had they not been so deeply rooted in the cronyism of Washington and deeply rooted members of the Never Trump consortium?

We have witnessed over three years the non-stop attempts to fabricate, uncover, discover, or pretend that he is deranged, unfit for office, unhinged, super dumb, evil, a traitor, or some other characterization.  His family has been attacked by the same people who insisted that touching Obama’s family was taboo, and that the president’s family should be excluded from the conversation.  The hypocrisy is too apparent to need addressing and even some on the Left admit it, at least privately.

Today, we are watching the disintegration of our American culture, the attempts to divide this nation so completely the only likely outcome is wide-scale bloodshed.  We have virtually every Democratic hopeful vying for their Party’s nomination for president embracing and advancing some brand of Socialism.  Those that are not openly calling for Socialism are presenting agendas and ideologies that grow the government exponentially and create a Big Brother of Big Brothers nationally.

The Democrats seem to be disarrayed and incapable of comprehending that the political times are changing, and more Americans are waking up to reality.  They have been accustomed to milquetoast Republicans and Conservatives who are afraid of their own political shadows.  They continue to follow their outdated playbook, using the Alinsky model of political tactics.  Their scurrying to throw as many things against the wall in their quest to oust Trump would be laughable were it not so serious.

Their typical tactic has been one of launching an attack on the person and character of their opponent while ignoring their own sins.  They have successfully sent a salvo of criticism in the direction of their Republican opponents and happily watch the Republicans seek cover.  In times past, issuing a simple threat and media headlines trashing the Republicans were enough to gain the upper hand in political tactics.  That is changing, at least in a few of the Republicans who seem to have a spine.

Someone said, “The Democrats knew their enemy, but their enemy did not know them.”  Often, smugly assured that their age-old tactics would produce the same result the Left calmly claimed to be the protectors of the people while the Republicans remained silent and hide in the shadows.  The suggestion of wrong or deficiency went unanswered and no one stepped forward to articulate the conservative position, as did Ronald Reagan.  That meant, the Democrats won frequently at the polls and the Republicans bought into the idea that they had to move to the political left to appeal to the people.  That was a fatal mistake in the past, and times are changing politically.

You may not like Donald John Trump but until he stepped into the political arena, conservatives had no voice and no one to fight for us.  He is far from perfect but far better than any of the offerings from the Left.  I pray that the political winds will blow favorable for Trump and every Republican who is Conservative and a Constitutionalist in 2020.  America can only survive if we defeat the toxicity of liberal ideology and keep America the Free Constitutional Republic established in the late 1700’s.

God bless you and God bless America!

CAN AMERICA SURVIVE ANOTHER 100 YEARS?

I asked that question recently and one of the group members said, “That’s not my question, my question is can America survive another decade or even another year?”  There is validity in his concern, but my focus is not just what happens for me but for posterity.  I am interested in what we will leave the coming generations including our children and our grandchildren.  Can America survive the assault, transformation, and modification that is being proposed and desired by various elements within our Republic?

America has long been a winning nation.  Until Korea and Vietnam, we won the wars we fought in a definitive and conclusive manner.  Those engagements are emblematic of a slow erosion in our America worldview and freedom.  I agree with those who contend that no matter what measuring stick you use, America rises to the top in success on virtually every front.  I heard a person declare, “America is number one in opportunity, quality of life, access to healthcare, academics, and diversity in intellectual and political thought. Why we are even number one in dog and cat ownership.”  The last sentence was assuredly tongue in cheek.

Americans are historically competitive, which seems to be an intrinsic part of our DNA.  President Trump frequently speaks of America leading again.  Of course, he is making a political statement to entice or inspire people to think about what is happening and vote for him. I have no problem with that and would expect nothing less from any president.  You do not hear American exceptionalism from a single Democrat in Washington.  That is troubling.  In fact, most of them ascribe to the view of former President Barack Hussein Obama that American exceptionalism is either a myth or a thing of the past.  That too is troubling.

Some of the current crop of Democrats vying for their party’s nomination for president embrace the ideology of communism and most of them are leaning heavily toward socialism.  That is troubling.  The failed hopeful, Robert Frances O’Rourke blatantly declared that his view of our Freedom was we do not have any.  He vowed to take away our guns, especially the AR-15 and AK-47 as well as strip religious organizations of their right to follow their core doctrinal beliefs.

Andrew Yang is literally giving away our money and Bernie Sanders no longer bothers explaining how we would pay for his brand of Socialism.  Elizabeth Warren uses smoke and mirrors to sell her healthcare plan and other fiscally disastrous proposals.  Joe Biden can’t remember where he is and defends his son and himself in their corruption and his own quid pro quo.  Time would not permit to detail each of them, but American exceptionalism is not part of their message.

Back in October, the Quinnipiac poll had Elizabeth Warren leading the pack and Joe Biden trailing by a full 7 percentage points.  That is interesting and troubling.  President Trump and most of the Republicans express confidence in the American people but Democrats like Warren do not trust Americans or America.

I had a Warren supporter tell me, “I can’t be friends with you because you support Donald Trump and Trump supporters are not worthy of life and going to hell.”  Warren’s give-a-ways could not be paid for with a 100% tax rate but those who want to get something for nothing do not care.  Their Utopian world does not extend beyond themselves and what happens to the rest of them is not even a blip on their radar.

The News Media have become nothing more than a propaganda machine for the Leftists and the President, Republicans, and all conservatives face an uphill battle in overcoming their misinformation, distortions, and outright lies.  The Left wants to regulate America back into the 18th century economically, technologically, industrially, and make the government god and all-powerful.  The stifling of business via regulations and taxation will destroy our economy and push us farther toward recession or a depression that the former president did in his 8 years in office.

The Democrats impose regulations, strip away liberties, and make Americans less free.  President Trump, to his credit, has taken actions that allowed CEO’s of businesses to turn their focus away from recycling rainwater and worrying about plastic straws to growing their businesses, becoming more transparent with how they pay their employees and reinvesting in America.

Can we survive the next 100-years?  Yes, but we may not survive the next 4-years if we allow those who would strangle America’s economy with insane and inane agendas.  We may not survive the next decade if we allow those embracing the Ultra Liberal Leftism that now drives the Democratic Party, take back full control of the federal government.  If you think that the economy of Obama, the obsessiveness and intrusiveness of the federal government was bad, don’t blink, if they regain power his failed policies will look like prosperity compared to what they now offer.

The 2020 elections, at every level, will determine what happens over the next decade, the next generation, and the next 100 years.  If the Democrats retake the White House, maintain their control of the House of Representatives, and reclaim the Senate we may be toast.

Our taxes will skyrocket.  The borders will be virtually erased.  Citizenship for those who are expected to be Democratic voters will be handed out like Halloween candy.  Our national security will take an immediate and dangerous hit.  Our 1st Amendment Rights if we are conservative or Christian will be in danger of modification if not removal.  Our 2nd Amendment Rights will be severely diminished and various firearms now legal will become illegal.  Healthcare will be damaged so severely that care for many will become extinct and the costs, even the Free Healthcare will go through the roof.

Can we survive the next 100-years?  Hey, I am beginning to agree with my friend more concerned about the next decade.  America, we have the clearest choice we have had in a very long time if not anytime in this coming election. We can take a stand for America and our Freedom or we can turn a blind eye and through wrong voting or not voting and allow the Leftists to destroy our Republic and us.

I refuse to accept the tyranny of the Left without a fight.  I am part of the Save America Resistance that has no organization or funding.  It is American Patriots who refuse to give up or give in to the destructiveness of toxic liberalism that seeks to ‘fundamentally transform’ America into something none of us truly want.

God bless you and God bless America!

DUMBING DOWN THE DUMBED DOWN…

If dumbing down the dumbed-down sounds confusing and convoluted, welcome to 21st Century America, because that is where we are.  That is exactly what has been happening in our beloved land.  A devoted Leftists said to me, “There is too much confusion when I think so I don’t want to think.”  I wonder how many others in today’s world agree with her statement and have shut off the thinking switch in their brains and let someone else think for them?

I don’t want to be unkind, harsh, unsympathetic, or without empathy for the millions who have been indoctrinated in our educational system over the past several decades.  I want to be compassionate to those who have been taught that America is bad, capitalism is evil, the American Constitution is a racist document produced by white supremacists are becoming or nearing majority status in America.  But this is frightening!

I don’t believe in the theory of evolution, but those who do and those who don’t should all agree that the human brain has the potential to reach remarkable levels cogitative application.  The human brain is designed to use deductive reason, evaluate the conflicting elements of the equation and achieve solutions like no other mammal, fowl, or fish could achieve.

Think of how far man has advanced intellectually over the past 100 years and you will see how important thought has been to that advancement.  Ideas that were concocted in the mind have become realities in our lives.  The products, inventions, and achievements have produced incredible advancements in science, mechanics, technology, and medicine.  The creation of the Internet, the smartphone, the computer is nothing short of amazing.  The development and advancement in automobiles, the combustion engine, jet propulsion, nuclear fusion and a myriad of other realities amaze me.

Sadly, I encounter people, mostly the younger generation, who cannot make change without the computer or cash register’s readout.  I meet people who are so dependent on the internet, google, the auto-correct feature on their computer or phone they cannot spell.  Today, a working knowledge of geography is glaringly absent.  History is unknown and with the laziness encouraged in texting and tweeting grammatically literate sentences are obsolete.  It is a grim reality that some students can no longer read cursive writing.

Students today no longer feel they need to know mathematics because they have a calculator.  They do not see the need to know history because they can Google it.  Someone said we have a “Thinking Syndrome” in modern society.  I can believe that we have a “Non-Thinking Syndrome” and the absence of thought is horrifying.  They defined the (TS) as a vestigial malfunction of the brain.

Thinking, for many is an activity that seems more offensive than the idea of shoveling manure in a stable.  Thinking appears to be rapidly becoming extinct and that is more than troubling it is deadly to an advanced society that seeks to create and produce.  Are we becoming so dependent on Artificial Intelligence that we are enslaved by our own technology?

I heard a discussion by ‘so-called’ scientists and psychologists that suggested the need of today’s society was an alteration of the human brain, so people were no longer burdened with thought.  What?  Those so-called thinkers are suggesting some medical procedure that eliminates the need or ability to think?  That sounds like yesteryears approach using lobotomies to cure mental disorders.  Have we truly become that dumbed down in the new enlightenment of the 21st century?  God help us!

They suggested that although there are mitigating drugs to help a person overcome their Thinking Syndrome (TS) we might need to utilize a non-invasive procedure to solve that problem.  That procedure would permanently alter certain synaptic centers of the brain using a tiny implanted interactive chip canceling out rogue paths of thought redirecting them to the desired centers of the brain.  They also called for the establishment of a Virtue Agency called the Center for Optimizing Perception (COP) and predetermine a person’s response to questions and certain stimuli.  I do believe that would be ‘mind-control’.  It Orwellian beyond belief.

Of course, indoctrination and brainwashing has been going on in our educational system for the past 50 or more years attempting to do the same thing.  The suggested chip approach is to expedite what the ideologically driven professors and teachers in our schools have been striving for which is the political predisposition of young minds.

The systematic dumbing down of our youth is directly connected to the increasing cultural dissonance today.  When a society stops thinking, loses the ability to engage in critical thought and has no ability or desire to use deductive reason we become puppets of the manipulating masters.

When thinking and reason cease, we become the product of the data that is input into our consciousness.  Who controls what that data will be?  Therein is one of the problems in ascribing to the idea that thinking is too confusing and should be eliminated.  We open ourselves to the diabolical forces that seek to control.  We relegate ourselves to a servitude far worse than any system of slavery known to man.

The paranoia and hysteria that is being created in the ‘non-thinking’ of today are pressing us dangerously near the precipice of societal destruction.  The driving fear of cataclysmic destruction through man-made global warming or climate change has resulted in an increase in suicides among the Millennials and Generation Z-ers.

When a person believes that life as we know it is over and they have no future, suicide can easily become an appealing out.  When politicians gain the ear of the ‘non-thinkers’ they offer promises that are unfulfillable and advance agendas that are destructive.  Any thinking person can see the fallacy of Socialism, but many today are driven by greed and never think of the consequences or ask, “how is this possible?”

We have a problem in America and that problem is in Thinking or Not Thinking.  Are we so disinterested in finding solutions that we are willing to embrace the ease of not thinking?  Yes, thinking is sometimes confusing because you see many sides of the equation.  In thinking we see the problem and are required to sort through a plethora of potential dangers and solutions to find the best approach.

Thank God, our founders were men of thought.  Thank God, the innovators throughout the ages were people of thought.  Thank God our forefathers were not willing to just muddle along in life and go wherever the wind or the stream took us.  Thank God, we have the innate ability to THINK!

What I ask is that you use your brain and THINK!  Think about what is going on.  Think about the flames of hate, envy, greed, and destruction is the fruit of the rhetoric and ideology advanced by the nefarious and devious of today.  Think about how we are to pay for the proposals of the politicians.  Think about the security of the nation and the inalienable rights we have been given by God and are supposed to be protected by our Constitution.  Think about the hypocrisy of politics and politicians.  Think about how you would like for people to view and treat you and set yourself to find ways to treat them in that manner.  The Golden Rule is not a detriment but an incredible benefit if we will practice it.

I ask that you think about your children, grandchildren, and future generations and vote in such a manner as to ensure they have a Constitution to protect them and a secure and safe nation live and work in.  I believe that if you THINK you will vote to oust those advancing anti-American and are Socialists or Globalists.

God bless you and God bless America!

WAS AMERICA EVER GREAT?

Before, I begin let me say my answer is YES and it still is!  But, we must delve into the question a bit more to find out what is happening politically in America today.  I discussed America and our founding principles with a mixture of Republicans and Democrats and someone in that group brought up the economy, national security, the border, and socialism.  That person said, “How can anyone not acknowledge that we are better off than under the eight-years of the previous administration?”  He then said, “We need to get behind the idea and dream of making America Great Again!”  One of the Democrats snarled and asked, “Was America ever great?”

His question is a valid question that deserves more than a flippant dismissal.  Was America ever great?  Each of us has our opinion and mine, without detailing why, is YES!  The question and challenge by the Democrat in our group inspired a pilgrimage in my heart and mind.  I wanted to see empirical evidence that supported either side of that argument.  I wanted to know beyond what I believed out of my love for this nation, the answer to the question.

I don’t know if I can sufficiently answer that question with the documentation that some demand or if they would accept the facts and examples available.  I have learned that most people believe what they believe, often absent of evidence to support their view.  I have learned that some have, often unwittingly, taken the position, “Don’t confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up.”  There is guilt in that area on both sides of every issue.  That, in my view, is one of our problems today, we are, too frequently, unwilling to listen to another view.

There are those who hate President Trump so much they would believe anything bad and nothing good about him or what he does.  There are those that love him enough that they would ignore factual data that he made a mistake or was wrong.  That presents an impasse and a chasm so wide that no bridge can span.  The haters appear willing to risk the republic to destroy him and the supporters have become so frustrated with that view, they are growing antsy and angry.  There is a cauldron boiling in America that could end in catastrophic tragedy between the opposing sides.

But, back to the question, “Was America Ever Great?”  Margaret Thatcher said in a speech in 1991, “and Europeans alike sometimes forget how unique the United States of America is.  No other nation has been built upon an idea, the idea of liberty.”  That is a powerful recognition of our founding purpose and principles.  The Founding Fathers did not declare our independence based on the idea, “we are Americans and they are Englishmen.”  They founded it based on the factual reality that the colonists in America were being denied the rights due to Englishmen or All men.

The motto on our Great Seal: E Pluribus Unum, “out of many one” expresses their view that “All men are created equal and possess certain inalienable rights including Life, Liberty, and the right to, in an unobstructed manner, pursue Happiness.”  America was founded on Patriotism.

Most nations, unlike the United States, were nations before they became states.  America was a group of colonies who unitedly were pursuing a dream where all people could live, worship, and work free.  A patriot’s loyalty is not to a political party or any ethnicity.  Patriotism is a term for devotion and commitment not to ethnicity or fringe ideologies but to the nation of which they are a citizen.  The saying, usually attributed to Thomas Paine is apropos, “It is the duty of a patriot to protect his country from its government.”  We could add to that, “to protect his country from radical fringe elements and ideologies that strip citizens of their inalienable rights and threaten the peaceful pursuit thereof.”

The greatness of America is suggested in the views and writings of Alexis de Tocqueville who came here in 1831 to study America.  European were amazed that a new nation barely 50 years old could be competing with them on virtually every level.  He looked at the American school system and took note that everybody finishing the Second Grade was completely literate.  That is amazing, but is it true today?  No, because many that finish high school and some that complete a 4-year-degree in college do not qualify.  We were great in education.

Today, the government takes a hefty portion of our earnings in various taxes and we are struggling on many fronts and burdened with an astronomical deficit and national debt.  In our beginnings, there was no income tax, did not have the extensive and enslaving welfare and entitlement system, and American ingenuity and drive inspired people to fight their way to prosperity.  Today, we are so laden with the entitlement mentality that many if not most are asking, “what’s in it for me?”

America was great because she allowed everyone to enjoy Freedom of Speech, and Religion.  Today, political correctness is stifling the free discussion of issues for fear of violating some written or unwritten of the enforcers of the proper speech.  We were great because we were free but there has been a systematic erosion of our freedoms and with the loss of freedom the loss of greatness.

America was family-oriented in our beginning and that strong family bond with the diligent oversight of the father and mother helped steer multitudes of youth away from debauchery and crime.  The Bible was still relevant in our schools, the foundational moral guidelines established in the Ten Commandments were embraced nationally.

It is reported that as the Constitutional Convention was falling apart and appeared doomed for failure, Benjamin Franklin saved the day.  How?  The 81-year-old statesman stood before the assembly and said, “Gentlemen stop!  During the Revolutionary War, every other phrase out of our mouth was, ‘Lord help us,’ and now you don’t even want to talk about God.”  He urged them to get on their knees and pray for wisdom.  Today that would land him in the PC Jail if not indicted for hate speech.

Without laboring to give financial examples, technological innovations, agricultural, architectural, artistic, scientific, or industrial evidence of the greatness of America past, I wish to give you some of my core reasons for belief that America Was Great, is Great, and can be Greater going forward.

We were founded and desired to be, One Nation Under God with the Undeniable Right to Life.  We enjoyed ordered Freedom, embraced the strength of the traditional family with a father and a mother in the home.  Nationally we encouraged the exercise of common decency, had a very solid Work Ethic.  We were Covenant minded people and God was a vital part of our American life.  John F. Kennedy said in his Inaugural Address: “Let us go forward with God’s blessing but realize that, here on earth, God’s work must truly be our own.”  We had God-Centered Education, respect for Church on a national level, and not only practiced but defended Religious Freedom.

For America to return to her former State of Greatness we must rediscover some of the old paths.  Not those that led us into horrific mistakes, but those that led us out of those mistakes and staunchly defended freedom.  America is still that land of the Free and the Home of the Brave.  America is still the Land of Opportunity.  America is still the nation that millions desire to immigrate and pursue the inalienable right to Live, Live Free, and Pursue the dreams of their hearts.  Yes, I believe America is Great and I am unwilling to allow the Liberal Leftists Socialist Globalist destroy this Republic.  Will you join me in keeping America Free so that we can keep America Great?

God bless you and God bless America!

WINNERS AND LOSERS IN THE COUP…

Hillary Clinton and others have been funding and attempting to organize what they have called “The Resistance” since and even before President Trump was inaugurated.  Hillary had the audacity to identify herself as “an activist citizen and part of The Resistance.”

Hillary continues to claim she is the real winner of the 2016 election and her refusal to accept defeat and the outcome flies in the face of her demand that Trump state before the election he would accept the outcome.  I am not sure what drives Hillary and others like her, but I am certain that part of that equation is the thirst for power and control.  They truly believe they are ‘entitled to rule’, and we should be the groveling pheasants thankful for their willingness to rule us.  After all, anyone who resists is deplorable, right?

The immediate riots after the 2016 election, the destruction of person and property by the so-called Resistance was a symptom of a grave illness in our Republic.  Sadly, the prescription for that illness presented by the Democrats was ‘take to the streets.’  Former President Barack Obama encouraged his followers to “get in their faces” and said, “if they bring a knife to the fight, we will bring a gun.”  Civility, the Left demands from the Right is glaringly absent from the public and private encouragements by the Left.

Before the Inauguration of President Trump in January of 2017 media outlets such as Vanity Fair were asking, “Will Trump Be Impeached?”  He had done nothing.  He had not yet assumed the role of president.  The only hope they had was the fake Steele dossier that everyone knew was phony and had been bought and paid for by Hillary and the Democratic National Committee.   Yet, Politico and others were asking, “How soon will he be impeached?”  There has never been a question that they would try, but try as they might to uncover something impeachable, they have come up empty.  Yet, they continue to fabricate, distort, and use Nazi Gestapo style inquisitions to sway the public.

Congressman Adam Schiff appears to have no soul and is either so dangerously arrogant or disturbingly dumb. He continues his quizzically bizarre insistence he has concrete evidence against the president.  Interestingly, he has yet to present any of that unimpeachable evidence and insists it exists.  He insisted he had indisputable evidence that Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election.

He insists that he does not know the identity of the Ukraine whistle-blower but will bring hellfire down on any Republican that mentions the name.  How would he know?  If he does not know who it is, which is a blatant lie, and everyone knows it.  His arrogance or delusional state of mind impels his personal pursuit of his quest to get Trump at all costs!

The result of this three-year journey into nothingness has given us a ‘do-nothing Congress” beyond anything ever witnessed.  Is this what we elected the members of Congress to do?  If it is, we need a new system of government because this one is broken beyond repair.  If this is what people voted for, then the American voter has completely lost touch with reality and personal vendetta has become more important than the progress and development of this nation.  That would make us as bad, if not worse, than the dictatorial and coup driven nations in various parts of the world.  Our doom is sealed and our Republic dead, we just haven’t realized it.  Maybe it has been dead so long we can’t smell the stench of the rotting corpse.

The Left has been wittingly or unwittingly growing an army of resistors and revolutionaries that are fighting for causes they do not even understand.  They are seeking to replace our system of Representative Democracy or Republicanism with Socialism and Tyranny.  They are seeking to implement policies and agendas that will obliterate any progress we have made economically over the past three years and plunge us into a recession and depression that could make the Great Depression a walk in the park.  The Democratic Party, like it or not, has officially become the Party of Socialism.  That makes America the loser in this current coup.

If the so-called Resistance wins and ousts this president or defeats him and the Republicans in 2020, America loses.  If America wakes up and realizes that the offering of the Democrats is significantly higher taxes, costs, restrictions killing economic growth and limiting our freedoms, we can win.  The Left offers abortion on demand and a devaluing of human life to the point that euthanasia and genocide become plausible possibilities in their quest to solve the Climate Change problem and fix our world.

If the Democrats win Freedom of Speech will be severely restricted, and the PC Police will monitor all social mediums and workplaces.  Those following the Christian faith will be in danger of imprisonment and pastors will likely be required, by law, to present their sermons beforehand to a monitoring agency for approval.  So much for “whom should we obey, God or man” as being a minister’s guide.  History will be sanitized and revised to the liking of the politically correct and conservativism will no longer be a publicly viewed commodity.

Hate is a powerful force and if allowed to run its course terminally destructive.  The hate for President Donald John Trump is beyond anything I have ever witnessed.  I knew some people that wished for the death of Barack Obama and hated him with everything in them.  However, I did not see the concerted and determined effort to ignore the outcome of an election and not just oust him from the White House but destroy him and his family.  I found his ideologies, policies, and agendas anathema to my views and my faith, but I accepted the fact that he was elected twice.  I determined that I would cite his failures and warn of more of the same if we did not defeat the Left in future elections but wanted no destruction to America to achieve that goal.

America can only win if the Attorney General William Barr and the special prosecutor John H. Durham truly bring the guilty to light and hold them accountable under the law and constitution.  If we allow this type of political coup to become the norm in American politics, All Americans Lose and America Loses.  Is that what anyone truly wants?  Do we want to see America become a failed Republic and coup after coup, many of which will not be bloodless, become the norm?

If anyone is willing for that to become a reality, then leave me out of your conversations.  I keep trying to believe there are some redeeming qualities in everyone and hope that America will awaken from the stupor of delusion and return governmental oversight to where our founders placed it.  They believed it was to be “a government of the people, for the people, and by the people”, and so do I.

God bless you and God bless America!

WE CANNOT AFFORD THE DEMOCRATS…

No, I do not mean we should not allow the Democrats to be a part of the process in government but the proposals being bandied about by the political hopefuls are unaffordable.  Each of the dozen or so Democratic hopefuls to become their party’s nominee for president are jockeying to carve their own unique niche in the quagmire of lunacy.  Obviously, that is not how they are their supporters view it, but it is how I see it and I’m calling it as I see it.  You can agree or disagree, that is your choice and your right.

A bipartisan budget watchdog released a report recently with details regarding the cost of the various options proposed as to how the government could pay for “Medicare-for-all.”  Each of the Democratic hopefuls has embraced some form of “Free Healthcare.” At least that is what they are calling it. Sadly, free is a misnomer, because their plans are anything but free.  That report indicated that there is no feasible pathway for the government to realistically fund those plans.  The report exposed the fallacy that simply raising taxes on the wealthy will solve the budgetary requirement.

The report, published by the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, studied this extensively.  They examined the proposed ideas of how to raise the estimated $30 trillion needed over a ten-year span could be achieved.  Those options included a 32% payroll tax.  Hey, if you are working you quickly realize that their brand of free is anything but free.  There would be a 25% income surtax and a 42% value-added tax.

Those plans would raise a lot of money unless the economy tanked, unemployment skyrocketed as it did under the previous Democrat administration.  Unless the wealthy moved their money to offshore accounts and out of the United States as well as stopped investing.  At that point, those taxes, levies, and garnishment by the government become much ado about nothing because 100% of nothing is nothing!

Taxing rich people is part of the proposal of most of the Democratic hopefuls and that resonates with those in the public who are struggling or envious of others having more than they.  I am not wealthy and struggle to identify as middle-class so I should be on board with ‘sticking it to the rich’ and forcing them to ‘pay their fair share’ right?  No, I am not because I understand the most basic principles of economics and see the empirical historical evidence that lower, not higher taxes stimulate the economy and fill the federal coffers.

Those reviewers, as well as other qualified economists contend that there is not enough annual income available among the higher earners to finance “Medicare-for-all.”  The report stated the obvious, which the oblivious cannot see because of hate, greed, envy, or deception.  The obvious is that on a static basis, even increasing the top two income rates (applying to individuals making over $204,000 per year and couples making over $408,000 per year) to 100% it still would not produce the needed $30 trillion.  In short, it is IMPOSSIBLE!

The politicians are not telling us that the so-called middle-class will be the burden bearers of this fiasco.  Taxes will be raised on EVERYBODY not just the wealthy.  Senator Warren pretends to be the defender of the middle-class and the poor.  She made the laughable promise, “I will not sign a bill into law that does not cut costs for middle-class families.”  She did not say ‘cut taxes’ but ‘costs’ and that is a loophole giving her incredible wiggle room to hide her agenda.  So, you pay a small premium for the ‘free healthcare’ but dramatically higher taxes, how is that ‘cutting costs’?

The CRFB.org, the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, wrote: “The debate over how to pay for Medicare-for-all has intensified.  We have looked into what it would take, including a 32% payroll tax, an 80% reduction in non-health federal spending, or a 108% of GDP increase in the national debt.”  I don’t know about you but that is more than a little troubling for me.

If America elects any of the Democrats as President and allows them to control Congress you can take it to the bank – TAXES WILL INCREASE!  A 32% increase in payroll taxes would bring the rate to 47% on most wages.  How do you like the idea of giving the federal government half of your salary each week?  If they get their way, we will endure a 25% income surtax which would force the lowest income tax rate to climb to 35%.  Now that sounds so good, I’m sure everyone is scurrying to sign up, right?  (Yes, my tongue is firmly planted in my cheek).

If the government cuts the non-health federal spending by 80% what gets cut?  You can bet your bottom dollar that the first target will be Social Security.  Here’s what that would look like in dollars and cents.  If your annual Social Security income is $18,000 it would become approximately $3,600.  I am not exaggerating because that is what an 80% cut would amount to.

Of course, the ‘deficit-funding’ ploy would be used and that would do incredible if not irreversible damage to the economy.  The financial markets would go into a tailspin and become so volatile that many would abandon all investments protecting their money.  I do not blame them, it would be fiscal insanity to put one dime in the market.  The result would Jimmy Carter-Esque inflation and the 108% of GDP spending would shrink the economy by at least 5% and that would equate to an average of each wage earner losing $4,500 annually in income.  Doesn’t that sound peachy, and free?

America, this is just one of the proposals and burdens the Socialist in the Democratic Party running for office wants to impose on us.  There are so many reasons for me to reject the proposals and candidates on the Left and this is just one, but not a small one.  The Politically Correct agenda to force us to abandon our core religious or personal beliefs is troubling.  The abortion issue is no small thing for me.  The push to erase our national borders and expose America to incredible danger is another.  There are many and I want an America where our inalienable and constitutional rights, freedoms, and liberties are protected.  I do not see that in any of the Democrats, therefore, I am compelled to reject them.

God bless you and God bless America!
