BLOG POST 2 - rESPONSIBILITY

It is the responsibility of every generation to refresh the tree of Liberty!  That is especially true today for those of us who love liberty and the Constitutional Republic known as the United States of America, in contrast to the voices, forces, and ideologies seeking to destroy it.  I am convinced that our founders based the Constitution, our system of government and judicial system on the presumption that those in leadership would work toward preserving the principles of Freedom.  I am not so naïve as to think they did not foresee the potential tyrannical despotism.  I believe they attempted to place safeguards and sound warnings loudly enough that centuries later we would hear them.

Our founders faced some serious problems in the formulation of this new government.  I believe did a remarkable job addressing those issues and attempting to insert adequate safeguards against despotism which would guarantee the survival of the fledgling new nation.  Like most systems of government theory is not always practical and thus we have the problems our nation faces today.  Although some of the Framers wanted to make the office of President a Monarchy the majority recognized the problem of placing too much power in the hands of one individual.  They also wanted a court system that was strong but not one that legislated from the bench, so they sought to develop a system that gave the court strength but not extreme power.

At the time of the Constitutional Convention in 1787 many were predisposed to developing a government that would provide ‘separation of powers’ in which the three branches were ‘co-equal’ in responsibility and power.  This was not a new idea but one that had never successfully been established as it would be in America.  Its roots can be traced to the 4th Century with Aristotle, championed by John Locke, refined and expanded by Baron de Montesquieu.  The writings of those and others influenced many of our founders greatly as did their desire to safeguard against the monarchical system.  They wanted a strong executive held in check by a defined legislature balanced by a judiciary that reviewed matters from a constitutional basis.  That worked splendidly for decades but has become so eroded over the past few decades and especially in the past few years that it would be unrecognizable by the Framers and Founders. 

In our present condition, we are suffering the after-effects of an administration (Obama) that pushed the limits of presidential authority damaging our entire political system.  We are suffering from a Congress that has largely abdicated its responsibility and a court where nine black-robed persons are virtually deciding what is legal and constitutional and what is not.  Instead of having a ‘balance of power’ where three branches are ‘co-equal’ providing checks and balances we have blurred the lines and so distorted our system, men like Thomas Jefferson would be calling for rebellion.  Our founders warned us of the inherent danger of any of the three branches becoming too strong or weak and laid the ultimate responsibility at the feet of WE THE PEOPLE!  If every generation does not ‘refresh the tree of liberty’ we will find that we are truly ‘one generation’ away from losing our liberty.

When the president, attorney general, and other major political figures engage in encouraging disregard for our justice system from a purely racial perspective we invite disruption of the peace, as the Obama administration did.  When people are encouraged, (as did the Obama administration), to disturb the Peace in protest rather than attempting to educate as to the process, the facts and maintain civil decorum it is an invitation to lawlessness.  When a president exercises power outside the constitutional scope of that office, ignores congress and disobeys the courts it is rightly called tyranny.  When Congress abdicates its responsibility to exercise the power of the purse, pass legislation and give oversight to the lawful exercise and observance of those laws we can rightly call them impotent.  When the courts render decisions that can only be understood as rewriting laws we can rightly accuse them of abuse of power.  We have each of those happening to greater or lesser degree in present-day America.  I do not wonder what our founders would say for I believe they demonstrated that in the American Revolution, Declaration of Independence and Constitutional Convention.

The former President, former Attorney General, and some major political figures called for those of a particular ethnicity to create havoc because they perceive a wrong transpired in the elections or other aspects of society.  The flames of hatred and racism have been fanned by those in leadership and have resulted in incredible chaos and division.  If WE THE PEOPLE fail to unitedly make our voices heard, we will see further disruption and destruction.  We must all realize that that declares that while our system is not perfect the constitution must be respected.  I am not calling for watering the tree of liberty with the “blood of patriots” as did Jefferson, but I am calling for watering the tree of liberty with our unified voice demanding a return to Constitutional Republicanism and lawfulness.

America needs, no requires our UNITED VOICE of support for Liberty in contrast to the voices of hate.  America needs leaders who protect and defend the constitution even if it is not what they would prefer.  America needs leaders who will follow the law, working to change any and all bad laws and serve as representatives of the people not purveyors of power and position.

My heart breaks for my America and I plead, God bless America and God bless you!

 

I WANT LIBERTY and in that I HAVE FREEDOM…


BLOG POST 1 - lIBERTY

When I read the writings, and study the events of the founding of this incredible Republic known as the United States of America I am immediately drawn to the importance of LIBERTY to our Founders and the Framers.  We have the Sons of Liberty, the Liberty Tree, the Liberty Bell, and even the Statue of Liberty.  They were enamored with the idea of Liberty and so am I.  The question must be asked, WHY?  Why was Liberty so incredibly important to our forefathers? 

The more I study their activities, works, ideas, and arguments the words of Patrick Henry have even more impact, “Give me Liberty or give me death” was more than a catchy cliche or declaration.  It was at the core of his and their beliefs and convictions.  They could envision no other result than winning Liberty which would give them Freedom but Liberty at all costs was their objective.  They were fighting for more than mere freedoms they were fighting for LIBERTY and to them, that was a God-given right and a possession or prize worth dying for.  I wonder how many today have that same conviction.

Freedom is defined as, “independence, the license to do as one wants, the permission to do as you please.”  That definition is wanting as it applies to a civil society and the workable interchange between men where peace and progress can be the expected outcome.  Freedom, means you have the right to do something based on a clear granting of authority or autonomy, as in self-government.  Permission, on the other hand, reflects the authorization or permission to do something and if it is something given or authorized it can be revoked.

Our Framers and the Founding Fathers had a clear grasp of the difference and to them, LIBERTY is defined in the Declaration of Independence as something that comes from God not man and therefore not something man can revoke.  The words that express their view that ALL MEN are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights including Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness are incredibly illuminating.  This is a window into their hearts and minds and a reason they were willing to risk everything to FIGHT FOR LIBERTY and FREEDOM.  Any given Freedom can be revoked by those granting that Freedom but Liberty, in their view, and mine can only be revoked by the Giver of Life, the Creator of All Things – GOD HIMSELF!

When I hear people talk about Freedom and Democracy I grow concerned as to the understanding of what we have in America and what our Founders fought for.  John Adams said, “Remember, democracy never lasts long.  It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself.  There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide.”  We have a Constitutional Republic with a Representative Democracy not a Majority Rule Democracy as ancient Greece.  John Adams also declared that America is “a government of laws, not of men.”  Much of our law finds its roots and foundation in the Bible and the principles of God’s Word.  I know that some find that offensive, but it is an inescapable truth if we honestly examine history.

In a Democracy, any group that managed a majority regarding any Freedom could vote to rescind that Freedom and mandate that we all follow their prescribed edict.  In our Constitutional Republic, we have rights that are given to all mankind by God Himself and no government, or majority has the right to trample on that Liberty.  If we only have Freedom, given by the government or the majority, those rights within that Freedom are subject to the interpretation of those in power.  In Liberty, the rights are not derived from man’s permission but by God’s decree and He supersedes all Human Authority.  Benjamin Franklin said, “Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.  Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.”

There are those on the Left and among some of the Establishment Republicans who would force us to violate our convictions and give up our Liberty and inalienable rights.  We have the right to Life.  There can be occasion, biblically and legally, where one can commit a crime that abridges that right and their life is the price of their crime.  In the right to Life, the unborn in the womb, who cannot fend for themselves or defend themselves must be protected as are all innocents.  Life means that we have the inalienable right to LIVE according to the convictions of our hearts providing those convictions do not endanger others or trample their rights.  We have the inalienable right to Liberty where we are FREE and have the permission of the Creator to live freely without undue restraint from any human government.  The words of Patrick Henry resonate deeply in my heart and I cry for LIBERTY, not simply FREEDOM.  God made me Free and therefore I am Free Indeed and in that Liberty, there is Freedom and Inner Peace.  I may have material possessions or be destitute, but I still enjoy LIBERTY and am FREE.

The government is charged with the protection of our LIBERTY, but our American government has evolved into an entity that believes LIBERTY, FREEDOM, and RIGHTS come from Government.  Therefore, rather than protecting and defending our Liberty they seek to define what Liberty is and mandate our lifestyles and allegiances.  That is foreign to what our Founders fought for and the Framers of our American Constitution negotiated.  We are Free because God made us Free!  We need to convey to our elected representatives the understanding of the Framers and Founders that among our inalienable rights is LIBERTY and we have that not because of some governmental action, edict, or legislation but because God granted us that right.  We need to convey to them that unless they return to defending and protecting the Constitution and our Inalienable Rights we will help them find other employment.  We must develop the Spirit and Commitment of our Founders and allow the Spirit of 1776 to once again become prevalent in our hearts.  Unless Liberty is something we are willing to fight to the death to preserve and attain, our Freedom will be lost in America. 

I am focused on the mid-term elections in 2018 and the 2020 elections because I realize that our American system of government is hanging in the balance.  Politicians of all stripes are proving to be our antagonist not our allies in the area of Liberty and Freedom.  Join us in the fight for Faith, Family, and Freedom and commit to LIBERTY.

LEGISLATION WON’T FIX AMERICA…


BLOG POST 1 - Legislate Morality

Some may automatically reject my argument because it is rooted deeply in my Christian Faith.  Others will likely embrace it completely because it resonates with their beliefs.  I make those statements to highlight that each of us has an opinion.  I would argue that some opinions are more deeply rooted in fact, truth, and reality than others BUT each of us has the right to form our own opinions and defend them as best we can.

We have tried for decades to FIX AMERICA via the legislative, judicial, or executive branches passing legislation, making legal rulings, or issuing executive fiats and IT HAS NOT WORKED!  I have long contended that it is IMPOSSIBLE to legislate morality and it is IMPOSSIBLE to legislate racial, ethnic, religious, social, or political harmony.  We are individual human beings and each of us responds differently to attempts to mandate that we act, speak, think, or live in a certain manner.  The political correctness of our day is one of the most divisive and destructive forces existing in America. 

Legislation will not resolve our societal differences and no amount of new laws will prevent the evil, criminal, and deranged from committing acts of violence against other human beings.  You can pass the most stringent “gun laws” ever witnessed and find the effect similar to those of Chicago and other cities with incredibly strict gun laws.  The violence escalates because, as with all laws the people who obey those laws are not the ones perpetrating crimes.  Also, by taking guns out of the hands of the law-abiding you place them in harm’s way with no means of defending themselves.  The idea as presented by one illustrious Senator was that if we passed gun laws banning guns, the criminals would realize that citizens did not have guns and would lay theirs down as well.  HOW’S THAT WORKING OUT IN CHICAGO, SENATOR?  The lunacy of that is akin to making a pedophile the caretaker of a Day Care Center or giving the fox guard duty at the hen house.  IT IS INSANE!  Yet, we have background checks, and due to the failure of various entities and organizations, people fall through the cracks.  NO SYSTEM IS FOOL-PROOF and the sooner we understand that the better off we are.  Criminals, terrorist, the deranged, and diabolical will get guns or other weapons of destruction regardless of the Laws passed by Congress and signed into Law by the President.  Evil is Evil, and legislation will not change the heart.

There are some things that Legislation would help if not fix that have nothing to do with the human heart or the depravity of man.  Congress could offer an amendment to the Constitution that would repeal the Personal Income Tax and eliminate the Internal Revenue Service in its present form.  They could move toward a Flat or Fair Tax and offer a plan that would result in everyone having skin in the game and eliminate the powerful political weapon the IRS has become. That would strip Congress and Power-Hungry Legislators of a tool or weapon to coerce compliance with their agenda in order to survive in the economic world.  Will that happen?  NOT IN OUR LIFETIMES, unless we completely change the culture of Washington, D.C. while those advancing that culture are in power.  That is a hill that I’m not sure we can climb without Divine Intervention.

Congress has passed legislation that would secure our borders but the infighting and political wrangling present today as well as the way the previous administration hamstrung our Border Law Enforcement Agencies and Agents makes our borders as porous as a sieve.  Congress could offer a term-limit amendment preventing the professional career politician from establishing a beachhead in Washington, D.C. and possibly restore the idea of Citizen Representation returning control of government to WE THE PEOPLE.  Will they?  NOT LIKELY because that would upset their playhouse and make them subject to the same laws as the rest of us.  Congress could overhaul the Entitlement and Welfare System and take a biblical approach limiting the persons qualified for assistance and follow the counsel of the Apostle Paul.  Paul said, “Any man that WILL NOT WORK, should not eat.”  The key words are WOULD NOT or WILL NOT rather than COULD NOT.  The Democrats accuse those of us who advocate a limiting of Entitlement and Welfare as heartless and uncaring.  However, I like many of our founding fathers believe as expressed by Benjamin Franklin, “I am for doing good to the poor, but… I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty but leading or driving them out of it.  I observed… that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer.  And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.”  What a concept!  If Franklin could see our Entitlement and Welfare System today he would condemn it immediately.

The Democrats want people poor.  Keeping people poor opens a door for them to enslave those voters making them beholding to the Party of Poverty.  Nobody wants to bite the hand that is feeding them or looks the gift horse in the mouth.  You never kill your golden goose.  Our present system of Entitlement and Welfare entraps people in a condition that kills their entrepreneurial spirit and stifles all ingenuity and desire to fight their way out of their economic condition.  It is easier to hate those who have than to labor so you can have.  It is easier to blame another race for your situation than take advantage of any and all open doors no matter how small or remote they might be.  Some have said, “God helps those who help themselves.”  This is not a quote from a biblical passage but was offered by Benjamin Franklin in Poor Richard’s Almanac 1757, but it likely originated from Algernon Sydney in 1698 in an article titled “Discourses Concerning Government.”  God does help the helpless as can be discerned in passages such as Isaiah 25.4, Romans 6:23, Isaiah 64:6, Romans 5:8, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Proverbs 28:26, and Jeremiah 17:5.  God expects us to do what we can and has promised to NEVER leave us nor forsake us.  There are some things we cannot do for ourselves and need divine help, so the idea presented of “doing all we can” and not simply “waiting for a handout” is valid.

America, if we are going to fix what is wrong in this country morally, racially, and socially, legislation is not the answer.  If we are going to address the economy, national security, and national sovereignty there are legislative actions that will help.  I have contended and contend that the problem in the mass shootings, terrorism, and the many other atrocities in our society can only be resolved by a change in the human heart.  THAT is something Legislation cannot fix.  If one hates, legislation will not dissipate their hatred, only a change in the heart and attitude will.  I pray that we, in America, will somehow find a way to realize that skin color or preferences are not a justifiable basis for dividing the nation and causing it to crumble as the Constitutional Republic our Framers and Founders established.

2018 IN LIGHT OF 2017 – Optimism is Difficult But Possible…


BLOG POST 1 - Back and Forward

As one year has come to a close and another begun, I wish I could declare with jovial optimism things are going to be dramatically better, but I cannot.  I try to limit cynicism and reject pessimism.  I try to embrace optimism and have a positive mental attitude toward life including the world of politics in America.  I try, but no matter how hard I try, there are some glaring realities that act as a wet blanket on some of the desired enthusiasm and the reality of the past and present alter my view of the future.

Before you reject me completely, let me state, I do believe in America and believe we can restore the Republic.  I believe in the possibility but am fully aware of the difficulty and daunting nature of that task, battle, struggle, or war.  Jesus said in Luke 21:36 that there would come a time when “men’s hearts would fail them for fear, and due to the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth…”  He described it as a time when the powers of heaven would be shaken.  We are also told in the Bible that in the Last Days (a term some are very uncomfortable with) we would see a dangerous world and peril so prevalent that things would appear hopeless.  I believe we are seeing that today, in a significant measure.

I heard people argue that Barack Obama was the anti-Christ and now some are saying the same thing about Donald Trump.  I am troubled not by the potential of America and Americans but the social, racial, economic, and political division being orchestrated, expanded, and engineered today.  Sadly, many are unable to see the outside influence and manipulation because they are too close to the forest to see the trees.  I have long argued that we are all descendants of Adam and members of the Human Race regardless of skin pigmentation or ethnicity.  If we could take a deep breath and tap the brakes on the impending race war that is boiling in the societal pot, we could take a major step toward resolving our racial and ethnic differences.  Hatred, that is generational is one of the most difficult to overcome because it has no personal reason for existence but becomes an ancestral heritage and almost viewed as a birthright.

With the decay of our politics into the muck and mire of the mudhole or cesspool any hope of common ground takes wing and soars out of reach.  Ideology and political partisanship take precedence over right and reason and the idea that the “end justifies the means” becomes the acceptable norm in politics and life.  Truth takes a back seat to winning any particular battle swinging wide the door to political bloodletting unseen by any past generation.  In our politically correct world the allegations of sexual misconduct or impropriety of any nature need no proof to be deemed valid, only made public.  The result is the assignation of character and the accuser is judged morally righteous needing to prove nothing whereas the accused is guilty until proven innocent.

I see coming, in select political races, more of what we have been witnessing in the past few weeks and months.  I fully expect, after the first of the year, there to be some possibly fabricated new allegations against President Trump regarding sexual harassment or moral misconduct.  The demands for his resignation, impeachment, and ouster from office will crescendo with deafening volume and intensity.  Throughout 2018 there will be new allegations against various Republicans leading up to the mid-term elections in November.  The MSM, Democrats, and Establishment Republicans will echo those allegations requiring no proof and even if they are debunked and discredited they will be repeated incessantly.  Megyn Kelly formerly of Fox News has resurrected three discredited accusers of the President and is once again attempting to gain relevance in her failing career.  She will be joined by an army of activists in promoting allegations without requiring validation and proof.  The view of many will be, “if there is smoke there is fire” and our entire system of government, laws, and society will have shifted (selectively) from Innocent Until Proven Guilty to Guilty Until Proven Innocent.  Even then, it will be Guilty no matter if proven innocent.

The current Republican Establishment will continue, in most incidences, to sit on its hands, impede progress in advancing the agenda mandated by the 2016 Elections and collude with the Leftist against President Trump.  That will not bode well for the American people, and many will blame Trump for the failures of Congress.  The likely result will be that our borders will not be secured,  Obamacare will remain the Law of the Land, and our national security placed in grave jeopardy.  Optimism is difficult when recent history exposes the fraud and failure of Congressional leadership. 

WE CAN CHANGE THINGS.  We can, I am 100% convinced it is possible.  However, I am also 100% convinced that we will have to change the culture of Washington, D.C. while those who are perpetuating that destructive culture are in control.  That makes our task doubly daunting and difficult.  It must begin at the grass-roots or the local levels and then become the focus of the primaries then progress into the general elections.  We will not achieve this goal in one or two electoral cycles. In fact, I believe that it will require our children taking up the gauntlet and fighting the fight after we have gone the way of the earth.  It may require our grandchildren fighting the fight for Constitutional Freedom and be decades away from becoming a hope.  That is why it is difficult to be optimistic in light of today’s political and societal climate.  Does that mean I’m giving up?  NEVER!!!  I recognize that this is a fight that requires EVERYONE to become involved and, in my view, will require the help of our King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  This is a fight with roots far deeper than what we see and is a war for the Republic our Framers and Founders established.

I ask that you join me in intercession for America if you are one that prays.  I ask that you join me in the trenches and become involved politically as we search for the best possible candidates to elect as our legislative representatives in Washington, D.C.

HOW MUCH COLLUSION WITH DEMOCRATS MUST BE EXPOSED BEFORE…


BLOG POST 3 - Collusion

Before what?  Before the Mueller Investigation comes to a screeching halt and is fully declared nothing more than a partisan fishing expedition.  I’m not sure there are enough shoes in the world to drop and achieve that result because the Establishment Never Trump Republicans are in collusion with the Leftist Democrats.  So long as Jeff Sessions sits on his hands in the Department of Justice and Congress turns a blind eye to the many revelations of partisanship in the Mueller team this will continue.

We know that multiple members of the Mueller Team have been and are in bed with the Leftist Democrats and are ardent Hillary Clinton supporters.  Why is that not a lead story on the various media outlets?  Why?  Because to expose the corruption, collusion, and fraud would defeat their objective of destroying Donald J. Trump, the Conservative agenda, and the fundamental transformation of America desired by the left and some on the right.

Now we are informed that Mr. Mueller’s top deputy attended Hillary Clinton’s election night party in New York City.  He was not there as a reporter because he is not a reporter.  He was there as a devoted supporter of the Clinton Campaign.  That alone is cause for him to be removed from the investigation.  However, if Mr. Mueller were to remove all the members of his team that support the Leftist Democrat agenda, he would have virtually nobody left, including himself.  Andrew Wiessmann, a top FBI attorney, referred to by the New York Times as Mueller’s “pit bull” is a leftist activist of the highest order.  Many have said that there are two primary reasons for attending a candidate’s victory party.  They are among the cheerleaders for the candidate or they want a job/promotion if the candidate wins.  Both, are valid reasons to disqualify Mr. Wiessmann from serving on the investigative team.

Mr. Weissman, supposedly unbiased, gushed with glee over then acting Attorney General, Sally Yates refusal to enforce Trump’s travel ban in January.  He sent an email saying, “I am so proud.  And in awe. Thank you so much.  All my deepest respects.”  How’s that for unbiased?  If that is unbiased then the earth is flat, the moon is made of green cheese, and unicorns are real and pigs fly.

We know that at least two members of the Mueller Team have done legal work for people connected to the Clintons.  Aaron Zebley, Mueller’s former chief-of-staff when Mr. Mueller was Director of the FBI, represented Justin Cooper, the Clinton Aide responsible for destroying Hillary’s email server.  Jeannie Rhee, another member of the Mueller Team represented the Clinton Foundation, Hillary Clinton herself, and former Obama Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes.  So much for unbiased objective investigation. 

Special Prosecutors, Special Investigators, and Special Counsels have a track record of failure, corruption, collusion, and partisanship that make them largely untrustworthy.  They usually promise “short” timelines and fail to deliver.  They begin with limited budgets that rapidly become an endless flow of cash to pursue whatever they are pursuing.  They move from their stated objective to fishing expeditions looking for ANY CRIMES that might taint the character of their target or his/her associates.  Often, they become a Gestapo of sorts and become rogue with little or no supervision. 

This investigation, if it were limited to the initially stated objective of Russian collusion would be over by now.  It has morphed into a search for ANYTHING and we rarely hear the word “collusion” used in connection with the investigation.  The many leaks from within the investigation often appear to have been planned for the purpose of disseminating information designed to harm the President. They are illegal and unethical, but Mr. Mueller seems to have no desire to uncover the source and punish the guilty.  His focus is laser-like in the search to FIND SOMETHING to use against Donald J. Trump, the President of these United States of America.  His team has been called an army, a dream team, and a gathering of all-stars.  James Comey testified that he was responsible for leaking his own notes, hoping to prompt the appointment of a Special Investigator into the President.  Remember also, that Mr. Comey testified under oath that he WAS NOT INVESTIGATING the President.

Comey’s ploy worked and Department of Justice officials, holdovers from the Obama administration quickly acted and selected Comey’s longtime friend and associate Robert Mueller as the investigator.  How Convenient!  That, in the beginning, was clear evidence of a conflict of interest but Jeff Sessions recused himself and allowed it to go forward with no resistance.  The Deputy Director of the FBI, Andrew McCabe’s involvement is disturbing.  He ran the D.C. office that was deeply involved in the Clinton email investigations and for some strange reason, McCabe did not find it necessary to recuse himself.  If one digs a little they will find that McCabe’s wife Jill had announced her candidacy for a State Senate seat in Virginia and had received a huge donation of more than $675,000 from the political organizations of Governor Terry McAuliffe, a longtime Clinton supporter.  Conflict of interest?  Of course, but ignored by all those in positions to demand recusal.

We know that at least six of Robert Mueller’s staff of fifteen lawyers have previously donated, some very generously, to Hillary Clinton’s campaign are now involved in investigating her arch enemy politically, Donald J. Trump.  How is that not a conflict?  As we have touched on previously, Peter Strozk, an FBI investigator assigned to the Mueller Team and Lisa Page, a consulting FBI lawyer with ties to Hillary were removed with no clear explanation and that allowed the MSM to deem it nothing more than normal attrition.  However, we now know they had an extramarital affair and exchanged over 10,000 texts, of which many were adamantly ANTI-TRUMP and PRO-CLINTON.  Why did that come through leaks, not from a forthright statement by Mr. Mueller?  I guess, you’ll have to conclude for yourself or ask him, which you cannot.  It gets worse, we have learned that Strzok was the man responsible for the wording of the official FBI report on the Clinton email scandal.  He crossed out the original finding of “grossly negligent”, which is legalese that under the statute constitutes a crime, and replaced it with “extremely careless”, which does not warrant prosecution. HOW CONVENIENT!

Let me offer one more little tidbit on the corruption within the Mueller Dream Team of All-Stars.  Senior Justice Department official, Bruce G. Ohr, connected with various ongoing investigations under the aegis of the DOJ, was partially reassigned for his contact with the opposition-research firm responsible for the Clinton-funded, anti-Trump dossier.  There are others and there are more examples that destroy the credibility of the investigation and give credibility to the Trump assertion that this is nothing more than a Witch Hunt.

America and our System of Politics and Justice are hanging in the balance and if this type of activity is allowed to stand and continue, the Republic will incur extreme damage.  If you love Donald Trump or hate him, it matters not.  What matters is honest reporting, honest unbiased investigation of charges such as Russian Collusion not a team of people who are adamantly opposed to the object of the investigation.  THAT IS DESTRUCTIVE!

PERSONAL REFLECTIONS AS 2018 COMMENCES…


BLOG POST 1 - Reflections

As one year has reached its climax and concluded another has begun its journey toward completion.  In the Book of Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 we are told that there is a time and a season for everything including birth and death, planting and gathering, killing and healing, tearing down and building up, weeping and laughing, mourning and dancing, etc.  The list is quite extensive, but the reality is life is cyclical and seasonal.

I believe that one of our problems today is that we often fail to grasp that reality and view whatever is happening at the moment the finale rather than simply one of the many acts in the play.  No, I do not take lightly the events of life, but I have learned in my numerous decades on planet earth that until we draw our final breath nothing is final, and everything is subject to change.  Tragically, in various areas of life, we have allowed some to hijack the JOY OF LIFE through deception, false information, and hysteria.  That is especially true in the political and the rhetoric of various activist have robbed many of the JOY OF LIFE and LIVING.  I consider that a slap in the face of intelligence and a rejection of God Himself.  You may disagree but if there is a time for everything and life has seasons, my argument should resonate with you.

The matter of Climate Change, Global Warming, or Climate Disruption where the basic tenet is that man is the culprit for the changes in weather conditions and patterns is not based on true scientific data but is a hypothesis and theory.  It is not settled science as Al Gore, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and others have declared.  There are numerous scientist who adamantly disagree with the theory that man is the culprit and that natural changes, which are cyclical are the answer.  However, many of those who do not believe in the theory that man is the problem believe there is no clear answer to why or how those changes occur.  Something or someone beyond their ability to fully comprehend or define is the driving force.  Global Warming takes a dramatic hit ever so often as this year in Erie, Pennsylvania where they have received over 8’ of snow since Christmas Eve.  I remember growing up in East Texas and seeing winters where you could wear shorts year-round and winters where the temperature plunged to sub-zero.  I’ve seen snow and ice that destroyed power lines and left communities in the dark for days and seen times when there was no snow or ice.  The hysteria has caused some to despair of life because they now believe that they (mankind) are the problem and some have taken their own lives as a result.  THAT IS TRAGIC!

If we consider the political scene in America, we find that we experience a time of liberals in power and a time of conservatives occupying that seat and the mood of the voting public changes from time to time.  The tragedy in the American Political Environment is that those seeking office and power are far less concerned about America and Americans than they are about Power, Position, and Purse.  I am reminded of the Jewish Sanhedrin in the Bible concerning Jesus expressed their real focus.  It was not the betterment of the people or the advancement of God’s Purposes but POSITION.  They said in John 11 after Jesus had raised Lazarus from the dead and worked other miracles, “What are we doing? For this man is performing many signs.  If we let Him go on like this, all men will believe in Him, and the Romans will come AND TAKE AWAY BOTH OUR PLACE AND OUR NATION.”  (Emphasis mine) Their concern is similar to that of today’s Political Establishment and Swamp Denizens in Washington, D.C. – POSITION and POWER not America or the American People.  The sad reality is that the Power brokers of both major political parties are like peas in a pod and that is one of the reasons they hate and fear Donald Trump.  He represents the potential of dismantling or seriously limiting their POWER and POSITION and that is far more important to them than the Constitution or the American Republic.  We, in their view, are their serfs and subject to their wishes.  We, in their minds, are to serve them not them serve the public.  Although the Political is cyclical we are observing a slow but steady erosion of Liberty and Freedom and with each cyclical change from Liberal to Conservative we get more of the Liberal Leftist ideology and less of the Conservative Constitutional.  THEREFORE, we must, not should, dismantle the Deep State, Drain the Swamp, and assist many of the professional politicians in D.C. to find new employment.  THAT is one of my 2018 Objectives!

There are few constants in life.  Virtually nothing remains the same.  Relationships decay and die if they are not nurtured and developed continually.  Businesses fail if there is not continual labor to adapt to the changing times and recognize the cycle or season coming next.  Republics fall when apathy becomes more prevalent than diligence and active involvement by the masses in the politics of that nation.  Regardless of who first declared, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing,” it is TRUE. 

As I look back on 2017 and ahead to 2018 I am grateful that America united sufficiently to defeat the extension of the policies of Barack Obama in the person of Hillary Clinton.  I believe we are in a cycle of opportunity and change that can lead us into a very productive 2018 and accomplish much in the way of restoration of America as the Constitutional Republic our Founders and Framers established.  We can face the insanity of much of the Political Correctness with Reason, Respect for Individual Rights, and exercise Understanding and Common Sense.  We can recover from our drift our moral moorings as a nation.  We can see America become the beacon of Hope, Freedom, Liberty, and Self-Government the world so desperately needs. We can become “a” if not” the” leader of the Free World not to impose our views on the world but to lead them to their own place in a Free Society.  We can see the Family strengthened and that alone will resolve much of the tension now existing on many fronts.  We cannot legislate morality, but we can, as a people recognize our drift, acknowledge our failures, and move toward the goal of our Founders and Framers – Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.

JUST BECAUSE YOU HEARD IT ON THE NEWS OR READ IT ON THE INTERNET – Does Not Make It Factual…


BLOG POST 1 - Heard it Through the Grapevine

I never cease to be amazed, amused, and disturbed by how many people continue to believe whatever the MSM and Internet Activist present without verification or validation.  If they see it in print or hear it on the news, they believe it and all subsequent backtracking, retractions, apologies mean nothing to them.  The damage has been done and they repeat it like mindless robots and those who listen to them believe it and perpetuate the spin.  And you wonder why the President would call the MSM “Fake News.?”  Surely you cannot seriously consider them a viable source of news?

 CNN among the most liberal media outlets has once again stepped on itself in their “bombshell” revelation about Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Russian collusion.  They have subsequently “walked back” their fabrication and false charge but it is so buried in the minutia of their anti-Trump rants it was likely missed by most and ignored by the rest.

CNN reported that Jeff Sessions committed a gross sin and his omission was further evidence of clear collusion with the Russians in getting Trump elected.  What was his omission?  He failed to disclose that he had meetings with the Russian ambassador when he was a senator.  The Justice Department explained that he omitted those meetings because the FBI told him not to list any meetings he has in conjunction with his duties as a United States Senator.  CNN, cried, “NO WAY!”  They argued, “A legal expert who regularly assists officials in filling out the form disagrees with the Justice Department’s explanation, suggesting that Session should have disclosed those meetings.”  It was wall to wall coverage and they were almost breathless in their assumption that they had found a “smoking gun” and clear evidence of collusion.  They asserted this would be highly problematic for the Trump administration and it would be impossible to explain away.  Amazingly, they don’t care about the members of Robert Mueller’s team, the Hillary tribe, and Democrats who fail to disclose or openly break the law.

Oops!  They have now acknowledged that FBI emails CONFIRM that Sessions’ explanation was accurate!  They sheepishly acknowledged that “a newly released document shows that the FBI told an aide to Attorney General Sessions that he was not required to disclose foreign contacts that occurred in the course of carrying out his government duties when he was a Senator.”  IMAGINE THAT!  Sessions told the truth and CNN perpetuated a spin that made him appear guilty of collusion.  If they knew this in advance they were knowingly spreading a lie and if they did not they are guilty of running with a story before corroboration and verification.  Either qualifies them as FAKE NEWS!

This is one of many incidences in which the various MSM and Congressional activist advance news that is unsubstantiated and solely for the purposes of tainting the image and character of their enemy.  In the past year, the Democrats have advanced much FAKE NEWS that is potentially damaging to various Republicans, Constitutionalist, and Conservatives without shame.  Even after their story or the story they are repeating has been debunked and disqualified they continue to allude to it as though it were still possibly factual.  Their purpose can only be to taint the minds of as many “ill-informed” voters as possible and like Harry Reid said regarding his false story about Mitt Romney, “Well, he didn’t get elected, did he?”  TRUTH is not part of the equation to them, defeating their opponents is and in advancing their liberal often socialist agenda and seeking to “fundamentally transform” America.

I would suggest that we might take to heart the maxim of Edgar Allen Poe, “Believe nothing you hear and only one half that you see.”  NO, I am not that cynical because I am a Christian and I want to trust.  However, in today’s political climate, we must be skeptical of the spin and rhetoric of politicians and activist groups.  Mr. Poe is reported to have clarified that statement by saying, “You are young yet, my friend, but the time will arrive when you will learn to judge for yourself of what is going on in the world, without trusting the gossip of others.”  That is a most powerful statement and one we could, at least in part, adopt into our thought processes.

In my years of Christians service and ministry, I have long said, “I do not want to be an echo, I want to be a voice.”  I do not want to simply repeat what I have heard others say, unless of course, what I repeat are the word of our Lord Jesus Christ.  In ministry, teaching, business, relationships, and politics I have attempted to inspire people to THINK FOR THEMSELVES and not rely solely on the ideas of others.  If the America voter were to suddenly become a thinking body of people, many if not most of those in Washington, D.C. would be shown the highway.  We would uncover their fabrications, lies, deceptions, and expose them as the frauds that many of them are.  We would discover they do not consider themselves subject to WE THE PEOPLE but believe that we should are subject to them.  The MSM and other activist groups are nothing more than pawns of a diabolical ideological agenda to destroy the America of our Founding.  They seek to eliminate our borders and strip us of our national sovereignty making us part of the New World Order that is subject to the designs of the diabolical.  I resist that and will continue to encourage everyone to examine, test, vet, investigate, and THINK for yourselves.  NEVER, give up your God-given right and ability to use cognitive reason.

HOW MANY WILL STAND WITH ME???


BLOG POST 1 - STand

There is little doubt that some will stand with me and some will vehemently oppose what I am about to say.  The question is how many will stand with me and not cave to political correctness?  I hope that I have sufficiently peaked your curiosity and if I were a betting man, I’d say that some have already decided they oppose what I’m going to say without knowing what it is.  That’s the nature of the PC pelican in today’s political America.

Okay, let’s get to my thoughts so you can decide if you stand with me or against me.  I would far rather you were staunchly against me or firmly with me because to me, apathy is intolerable.  When I speak to audiences or congregations I desire that the crowd either be actively supportive or antagonistic.  I can thrive in either situation, but apathy sucks the energy out of me and makes me want to throw up my hands and walk away.  It is not that I like conflict, but I would rather battle conflicting ideas rather than have to carry the emotionally dead to the next level of life.  Trials, struggles, difficulties, and differences of opinion inspire me to dig deeper, study more, pray harder, and reevaluated my attempts at communication.  In those cases, I am looking for what I might have missed or if my position is fallible and needs to be revised and reevaluated.  I believe that we should be “ever learning” and “always growing” in our understanding of life and things around us.  Life, to me, is an incline, and if you try to stop (apathy) you go backward and lose ground.  It is through the continual effort to find the truth that you press toward the mark and have any hope of achieving the prize of life and peace.

I have been attacked frequently on my position regarding Muslims worldwide but especially American Muslims.  I have been charged with being Islamophobic and a hater but if you will give me an opportunity I will explain what I believe regarding ANY RELIGION, manufactured or real.  Any religion that promotes hate and violence is unacceptable and although our American Constitution affords the protection of “Freedom of Religion” it does not afford protection to incite riots, advocated the slaughter of those disagreeing, or other threats to property and person of those outside their sect, brand, or religion.  Some attempt to cite the Old Testament and say that it is the same as Islam in the violence against people not of the biblical faith.  However, if you read the New Testament and the teachings of Jesus for believers you find that it is no longer an “eye for an eye” but FORGIVENESS.  Jesus’ message was Grace and Love, not Hate and Intolerance.  The Bible identifies actions of mankind as unacceptable but that does not mean we are to hate those who engage in those reprehensible actions.  NO, we reject their sin, punish them by law where necessary, but we extend to them, Love.  Some, cannot comprehend that but, in my heart, it is a crystal-clear truth and tenant by which I try to live.

To the Muslims in America, I once again suggest, no insist, that if you want me to recognize your religion and accept the claim that it is a peaceful religion, you must take immediate action.  You must IMMEDIATELY purge from your teachings the “Doctrine of Jihad” or you should take your brand of hate to a country where it is embraced.  Call me whatever you wish, but we cannot tolerate that kind of hatred or the excusing and justifying of it.  If the so-called peaceful moderate Muslims in America are opposed to what the radical elements such as ISIS, al Qaeda, and other groups are advancing then you MUST step to the microphone, stand before the television camera, and insist that your Imam’s openly condemn that activity.  That would mean that you have to modify your so-called holy book, and if your religion truly came from God you dare not do that because your book’s claim is that it is the will of Allah to destroy the infidels in the world.  Therefore, unless you are willing to denounce that diabolical activity engaged in by many Muslims around the globe, you are a roadblock to peace, not a bridge. 

We lost almost 3,000 souls on 9/11 and the almost endless acts of Islamic terrorism since then America has seen a growth in the Muslim population.  There have been about 3,000 mosques added since 9/11, with the majority funded by Saudi Arabia.  Many of those mosques are lead by religious leaders who openly embrace jihad and the core teaching of Islam that America is a land of infidels and the infidels are to be annihilated. Can you not see the grave danger posed by that reality?  I must ask, why is the United States importing a population whose religious tenets call for open jihad on non-Muslims?  WHY?  It escalated dramatically under Barack Hussein Obama, who said in one of his books, “If the political winds turn sour I will side with the Muslims.”  The man that became president of the United States and took the oath to “Protect and Defend” the American Constitution.

Over the past 1,400 years, about 270 MILLION have been murdered in the name of Islam.  How’s that for a religion of peace?  That horrific reality was not due to poverty, famine, external oppression, or even crusades but the holiest texts of Islam that MANDATES jihad upon all infidels until all of mankind is under the domination of Allah and followers of Islam.  Nearly 61% of all Quranic doctrine consists of violent verses calling for the slaughter of non-Muslims.  Quran 9:5 – “Slay the idolaters (non-believers) wherever you find them, and take them captive, and besiege them, and prepare them each ambush.”  Quran 1:193 – “Fight them (non-Muslims) until there is no more discord and the religion of Allah reigns absolute.”  Quran 8:12 – “I shall cast terror into the hearts of those who are bent on denying the truth: strike their necks, {O believers,} and strike off every one of their finger-tips!”   RELIGION OF PEACE? 

Last year in the town of Davis, California, Imam Ammar Shahin told his fellow Muslims to “kill all Jews”.  He was later forced to apologize but he was expressing a core belief in Islam.  Europe is rapidly becoming an Islamic center with the massive influx of Muslims into those nations and they are paying an incredibly high price both in acts of terrorism and the imposition of Islamic teachings on entire populations.  Hundreds of Muslim Brotherhood groups, an organization closely connected to both Barack H. Obama and Hillary Clinton cry “Islamophobia” to stifle any criticism of Islam and the violent teachings of their religion.  I would like to see President Trump and Congress DEMAND that Muslim Brotherhood Groups such as CAIR (Council for American-Islamic Relations), MPAC (Muslim Public Affairs Council), and ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) purge their literature of ALL JIHAD.  We need to put them under the spotlight and expose what they are and who they are and follow the thread throughout our own government.  America, we are being destroyed from within by those who hate us and are being given a free pass by Congress, the Courts, the MSM, and Liberal Activist.  DO NOT BE FOOLED, we can “tolerate them” but they will never “tolerate us”.

Congress, I suggest that you shift some of your energy of trying to destroy Donald Trump and direct it towards these groups and DEMAND that they immediately purge the doctrine of jihad from all their materials and make public statements decrying Islamic terrorism.  Anything less is to become complicit with their designs to destroy America and the Free World and bring us under the ruling iron fist of ISLAM.   How many will stand with me?

IT MUST BE A MISERABLE LIFE…


BLOG POST 1 - Miserable Life

There is a classic Christmas movie called “It’s A Wonderful Life”, starring Jimmy Stewart that tells a story of devastating that has a wonderfully happy ending.  CNN has now deemed this movie “sexist” and declared that it should be retired and never reshown.  A Boston professor has declared the “Jingle Bells” is racist and should no longer be allowed.  With every passing day, we find something new that the Leftist, Liberals, Democrats, and Activist have determined is no longer Politically Correct and must be banned from our vocabularies or lives.  Living with that mentality must be a “Miserable Life.”

What a burden it must be to feel that it is your life’s mission to Police the Thoughts and Actions of society.  What a Miserable Life it must be to find yourself so filled with HATE that you feel obligated to stamp out everything that does not align with your political or personal view.  I grew up many decades ago in East Texas and we enjoyed life at a much slower pace and with a much simpler worldview that the PC Police of today deem acceptable.

The Leftist, Liberals, Democrats, MSM, Hollywood, and Activist so HATE President Trump that they continually attempt to compare him to Hitler.  Imagine that?  Hitler would never have moved the embassy to Jerusalem and compared to Barack Obama this President, Donald J. Trump is very Pro-Israel.  Former President Obama was Pro-Palestinian and Muslim and took every opportunity to do damage to Israel and no one ever called him Hitler, but Donald Trump moves the U.S. Embassy to Jerusalem from Tel Aviv and he is Hitler.

I guess the old saying, “Misery Loves Company” must be true in the antics and activities of the Democrats for rather than seeking to allow people to fight their way out of poverty and have the opportunity to succeed they want to keep us miserable.  They hate any deregulation that allows business, small and large, and individuals to climb the ladder of success.  They hate across the board tax cuts which benefits everyone rich and poor seeking rather to be the sole benefactor of people on the lower end of the economic scale.  So long as they can keep us miserable and dependent upon them for our handouts we never receive a hand up and remain in our condition and they manipulate us for their purposes.

I cannot fathom the MISERY that must thrive in the hearts of those who find the simple greeting, “Merry Christmas” so offensive it must be rewarded with such vitriol the greeter fears to say anything.  What a Miserable Life when you must walk on ‘eggshells’ fearing some word, deed or thought is a violation of the Liberal Religion of Political Correctness.  What a miserable life where a man cannot compliment a woman on her appearance without being attacked with a vengeance accused of sexual harassment and worthy of being destroyed, politically, socially, and economically.  What a miserable life when you cannot acknowledge anything good as a result of a political move of any president that actually benefits or has the potential of benefitting Americans.  What a miserable life when one has such hate, as the Governor of California that rather than deporting Illegal Felons he would use the power of his pen and pardon them.  What a miserable life when the Leftist Ideological position of Citizens of the World becomes of more importance than protecting legal American citizens and American sovereignty.

We can continue allowing everything in this nation and in our society to be attacked, tarnished, diminished, and destroyed and one day all of us will join the Leftist, Liberal Democrats in A MISERABLE EXISTENCE and LIFE.  We will plunge his vibrant wonderful nation into the abyss of the darkness of Political Correctness where life is no longer fun or enjoyable but a miserable existence where trepidation rules and navigating the ‘eggshells’ of the PC Police impossible.  I tremble when I think of my grandchildren and their children having to live in the PC World of the Leftist.  They will not enjoy the Life and Learning we enjoyed and rather than having Hope they will find a world that deems Miserableness normal and Happiness a figment of the imagination.

That is why I continue to fight for Constitutional Conservatism and largely vote for the Republicans in elections.  I do not consider much of the GOP constitutional or conservative but the avowed hatred of the Left for everything that this Republic was founded as and has stood for during our history prompts me to fight to oust every Leftist from office.  If we do not unite and evict from Washington many if not most of the professional politicians we will enable them to plunge is into the MISERABLENESS they seem determined to bring upon us.  I truly believe they are so miserable they now believe their rhetoric as the only righteous path for the world.  THEY ARE WRONG!

If you want to live in an America where Life is Wonderful, and everyone has and enjoys the inalienable right of Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness, join me in fighting for FAITH, FAMILY, and FREEDOM.  We must defeat the Miserableness of the Left at the polls and in our interpersonal interactions in society.

PARDON ME, BUT ISN’T THAT A FELONY???


BLOG POST 1 - Rosie

What I am specifically speaking of is the recent attempt of bribery by Rosie O’Donnell.  Do I expect anything to be done about it?  NOPE!  Should there be anything done?  YES!  Rosie, on Tuesday evening, as the Republicans moved their Tax Reform Package toward a vote and passage, tweeted out offers of bribery to Republican Senators to vote down the bill.  She did it repeatedly and to specific Senators which is clearly an attempt to bribe them.  One of her tweets was, “so how about this I promise to give 2 million dollars to Senator Susan Collins and 2 million to senator Jeff flake if the vote NO.  NO, I WILL NOT KILL AMERICANS FOR THE SUPER RICH.”   That is an attempt a bribery and is a felony, from what I can discern.

Bribery is illegal under federal law and the relevant portion of 18 USC §201(b):

Whoever—

(1)directly or indirectly, corruptly gives, offers or promises anything of value to any public official or person who has been selected to be a public official, or offers or promises any public official or any person who has been selected to be a public official to give anything of value to any other person or entity, with intent—

(A) to influence any official act; or

(B) to influence such public official or person who has been selected to be a public official to commit or aid in committing, or collude in, or allow, any fraud, or make opportunity for the commission of any fraud, on the United States; or

(C) to induce such public official or such person who has been selected to be a public official to do or omit to do any act in violation of the lawful duty of such official or person;

…shall be fined under this title or not more than three times the monetary equivalent of the thing of value, whichever is greater, or imprisoned for not more than fifteen years, or both, and may be disqualified from holding any office of honor, trust, or profit under the United States.

My question is WHEN will the DOJ and the FBI charge Ms. O’Donnell with a federal crime?  If we continue to allow this type of activity to go unpunished we will so discredit and dismantle our System of Government and Law Enforcement, we will enter into a state of total anarchy.  The Leftist scream about the super-rich and them using their influence, money, and power to force the rest of us into compliance with their objectives.  HOW ABOUT YOU MS. O’DONNELL?  Are not you, Mr. Clooney, George Soros, and many of the Rich Liberal Leftist not doing exactly that?  We are a nation of laws, or we are supposed to be, so Mr. Sessions – GET CRACKING and bring the full power of the law down on her head as a warning to all who would break the law to get what they want.

Can we return to the Rule of Law and return to being the Constitutional Republic that our Framers and Founders established?  God help us if we do not wake up and return to sanity in America.

Remember this in November of next year and REFUSE to allow the Democrats to regain power and control in Washington, DC.  Also, refuse to allow the Establishment Republicans to remain in control.  Let’s find and vote for genuine Constitutional Conservatives who will fight for the Republic and Americans.
