In the course of human events, there comes a time when we must choose between total allegiance to God or human government.  You may disagree depending on your religious or worldview.  I am unashamedly a follower of Jesus Christ, a Vietnam veteran, a patriot, a gospel minister, a father, a grandfather, and an American citizen by birth.  I state that only to lay the foundation for everything I say.  My views are rooted in my biblical understanding and my faith in God. 

In America, we have traversed down the long winding road of destruction for well over one hundred years.  It began with the Fabian Socialists.  No, the attempted destruction of the world and mankind began before the Garden of Eden and the fall of Adam and Eve.  It started in the eons past when Lucifer, a created angel, rebelled against God and tried to overthrow the Living God.  He is a master deceiver, evidenced by his ability to persuade one-third of the angels to rebel against God.  That is incredible!

The deception in the Garden is rooted in the appeal of “self-exaltation” and has been prevalent in the hearts of humans since that time.  That is one of the reasons we see the continual quest for power and control.  That is one of the reasons we witness the devolution and declension of politics, business, interpersonal relationships, and spiritual acumen.  Mankind continually seeks to elevate the “self” to the pinnacle and make him or herself lord and master. 

From time to time, we catch a fresh breeze of reality and truth being manifested in politics and politicians. Our response to that is often unimaginably inane and nonsensical.  I believe that the condition of depravity in the heart causes people to miss the essential and focus on the superficial.  By that, I mean we focus on personalities, skin pigmentation, economic status, or some other extraneous thing rather than on the platform. 

In politics, the platform is always more important than personality.  That is not to dismiss the desire and need for character but an attempt to recalibrate our pursuit to focus on the issue, not the trappings.  There are politicians whose personalities and character are grating to my sensibilities.  Yet, their desire to pursue what is needed and right is what prompted them to enter the political arena.  If I lose sight of that, I become entrapped in identity politics and side issues and open the door for the planned destruction.  That is not an easy road to navigate, but we have the promise of guidance if we put God first.

One of our problems in America is that we choose sides and fight rather than engage in honest and open conversation or debate.  We choose sides by all manner of identifiers, including ethnicity, political persuasion, sexual preference, and religious beliefs.  We tend to stereotype and categorize others based on how they are identified rather than finding out what they actually believe.  If our Founding Fathers had practiced that, we would not be a Republic today!  The Constitution would never have been drafted, adopted, or ratified. 

An example of honestly asking was brought to my attention by Janet Walters Levite in her article, “Thank You For Asking, Mr. President.”  She wrote about the funeral service for Lynette “Diamond” Hardaway, of Diamond and Silk fame.  The funeral expenses were paid for entirely by Donald J. Trump.  Trump also attended the funeral and sat with the Hardaway family. 

Trump was the closing speaker at the memorial service.  He spoke about getting to know the family and the Silk, whom he stated he did not truly know.  In his remarks, he asked a question and made an admission that is largely absent in the political world and most of society.  We assume rather than genuinely seek to know.  What was his question?  He acknowledged that he had always felt ignorant about how to address the Black community.  He said, “I always used to ask – what do you like better – African American or Black?”  He said many terms were being used, and he was unenlightened as to how most Blacks preferred to be addressed.  He said, “They said, ‘We like Black.’”  He had been accustomed to saying African American.

What is significant about that?  He asked what those of that ethnicity preferred and admitted that he did not know.  Wow!  A person involved in politics who acknowledges that they do not know something and genuinely seeks to know is rare!  If we did that on all the other aspects of the political, societal, economic, and spiritual, we might find that God would help us navigate the troubled waters of our day and find some viable solutions.  That would mean we move from allowing human government to dictate what and how we think, speak, or act and follow the biblical guidelines for life.  What a concept!

We do not need automatons. We need people who can and will think for themselves and allow everyone else to do the same.  We need those in politics to be voices, not echoes of the rhetoric and ideology of those desiring our demise.  We can restore the Republic, but only and I mean ONLY, if we abandon our dependence on the government to legislate our problems into nonexistence.  No law will ever change the heart; only God can do that. 

A Bible passage is apropos here, Matthew 7:12 – the Golden Rule.  If we were to practice treating others as we desire to be treated, we would open the door of hope.  Would everyone reciprocate?  No!  But a soft answer and an honest heart can disarm even the most volatile and hate-filled heart. 

America is in trouble with a capital “T” today.  We have been duped into believing that nothing of God or the Bible could be a part of public life and thereby have been lulled into inactivity politically.  Politics affects everyday life and, therefore, must be addressed by everyone.  It may not seem to directly affect us or not affect us sufficiently to warrant our involvement, but it is affecting our Republic and will affect our posterity far more than it does us.  We owe it to our children and grandchildren to right this ship of state and return to moral, political, economic, social, and spiritual sanity. 

If we made 2 Chronicles 7:14 a cornerstone in our lives, we would see change that we will never see legislatively.  Legislation tends to divide rather than unite.  Political wrangling divides, isolates, and defeats our objectives of being the Free Constitutional Republic where everyone is recognized as creations of God and having certain inalienable rights.  I urge everyone to earnestly pray, think, investigate, and become involved at whatever level you can manage.  America and Freedom are prizes worth fighting for.  I ask that you join those of us committed to fighting for Faith, Family, Freedom, and Fidelity.

I hope that everyone in America is or will become willing to acknowledge that we are in a mess politically, socially, economically, morally, and spiritually.  We may not agree on the mess or how to fix it, but if we look honestly at today’s world, we must see that reality.

I do not believe that we can “Fix” America politically.  I do not believe we can effectively pass legislation that will “Fix” America.  I do not believe that adhering to the “Wokeism” prevalent in today’s society will “Fix” America.  I do not believe engaging in vitriolic diatribe, and tit-for-tat will “Fix” America.  I believe there is only one hope for America’s restoration and redemption.  That is God! 

I speak and write from my core values, which are rooted in the Bible.  Many passages in the Bible trouble me because they are difficult to implement in my own life.  Yet, I believe the Bible is the Inspired Word of God and our guide for life.  Our founding principles and laws as a Republic are rooted in the Bible and the Ten Commandments.  That is not to say that we have always followed those precepts.  That is not to say there are no inequities in America.  That is not to say that we should abandon the political process.  It is saying that we need God. 

If we follow the precepts and principles taught in the Bible, we will find our hearts changed, and as our hearts change, our interpersonal relationships will change.  If we genuinely pray for those charged with or elected to govern, we become less prone to hurl vitriol toward those we disagree with and all who support them.  We would open the door for God to intervene rather than gain our personal satisfaction by “giving it to them.”  Hate will never resolve issues! 

But, on a practical pathway, “How Can We Fight Back Effectively?”  What can we do to counter the insanity that is prevalent in today’s world?  I want to move beyond the basic first principle of returning to God wholeheartedly and discuss some extensions and actions we can implement.

Let your pocketbook speak for you.  We vote very few times each year, but we can vote with our finances almost daily.  Instead of funding corporations that are anti-everything you believe, withhold your support.  Don’t buy their products.  A boycott, you ask.  In a measure. I encourage you to do research and find those corporations that support things that violate your core convictions and beliefs and find alternatives to them.  Vote with your money!

Use the Internet wisely and vote with your clicks.  Surely, we all know that Google is not our friend and is an extension of Big Brother’s All-Seeing Eye, watching our every move.  Yahoo is not our ally but is deeply entrenched in the toxic liberal ideology of today.  There are other search engines that are less intrusive and do not attempt to force-feed us with the information they want to propagandize.  In the near future, I will try to offer a list of alternatives.  But, if you are like me, you are fed up with the trackers, bombardment of ads, and ultra-liberal content forced upon us as we wade through the fodder to get a wee bit of grain.

Follow the biblical directive to teach your children Truth.  That would include the Bill of Rights and the principle upon which America proclaimed her desire for independence.  Teach them morality.  Teach them the biblical and scientific truth about gender, family, marriage, integrity, honesty, and ethics.  Teach them the Golden Rule and demonstrate it so they can see through practical application.

Make your ballot count!  Do not vote simply based on the “D” or “R” behind the candidate’s name.  Do your homework and vote down the ballot, examining each candidate’s platform, campaign promises, and track record.  Find those with a history of fulfilling or attempting to fulfill their promises if those promises align with your core beliefs.  Vote for judges that will honor the rule of law and the constitution.  Vote for candidates who most closely align with your beliefs.

Remember, all charities are not the same.  Some organizations identified as charitable organizations are not worthy of your support.  I will not support AARP, Planned Parenthood, the Southern Poverty Law Center, or any organization that advances ideologies and practices that are counter to my faith and my values politically, morally, or spiritually.

Dare to become vocal and expand your sphere of influence.  If you attempt to straddle the fence, you will become a facilitator of the destruction rather than an educator and influencer for the solution.  Talk to your neighbors and even if you and they do not agree, dare to share the truth with them.  Volunteer at your schools run for the school board, teach a class online, or volunteer in political campaigns that advance your ideological preference.  There is no shortage of places you can become involved.  This country is worth the time you will donate.

I left the News Networks and Cable initially for financial reasons but also because I did not want to contribute to corporations that were anathema to my personal, spiritual, and political views.  You must make that choice for yourself.

Teach your children, grandchildren, and anyone you influence to question rather than conform without question.  Do your homework to discover the truth and facts.  They will not always be what you want them to be.  Be honest when your candidate or political party is exposed for wrongdoing.  Do not turn a blind eye to the flaws on your side of the equation and say, “Well, at least they are not….”  Politics and politicians must be held to the high standard of the Constitution and the Bible.  If they fail, they should be shown the door.

Refuse to be sucked into the black hole of hate!  Giving insult for insult and engaging in vitriol will never solve the problems we now face.  The idea of “Paying it Forward” is applicable.  The “Golden Rule” is applicable.  If we would treat others (everyone) like we desire to be treated, we offer God a pathway to deal with the heart (ours and theirs).  Most of our issues in America have more to do with the condition of the heart and the mindset than anything else. 

I have and do fail more than I would like to acknowledge, but I am not unaware of my failures.  My daily cry is for the LORD to help me be what the Bible calls for me to be.  When I am checked by the Holy Spirit and convicted, I run to the Cross and lay my life on the altar before God in repentance.  I want to be a representative of Jesus who manifests Him daily.  I want to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem.

We can see America restored and reclaimed, but not through politics.  It will come through a change in people’s hearts, which will only come through a return to God and our moral moorings.

The modus operandi of the professional politicians occupying the desks in Washington are adept at finger-pointing but inept at fixing problems.  Blame the other party or the opponent, and all is well in their minds.  After all, we, the people, the peons, the unlearned, the uninformed, should be grateful for their occasional offerings thrown our way. 

When I hear the Left blaming the Right for the problems with Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, I am stunned that so many believe them.  If we were to pause and consider the actions of the political elitists in Washington, we would quickly realize that fixing the problem is not the intent but finding plausible ways to blame someone else.  They are focused on Power and Control, not doing our bidding.

All of us who have paid into the Social Security System know that we are looking down the barrel of the loaded gun of cuts in our benefits.  The mismanagement of funds is the blame; those on fixed incomes will pay the price for their ineptitude.  The anticipated date of those cuts is 2034, just 11 short years down the road.  I will be in my upper 80s at that time.  I will likely be unable to actually engage in employment that would produce the needed additional income, so I am preparing for the future the best I am able.

Blaming the Right for the cuts and the disaster in Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid is ludicrous.  If you take just a moment and reflect on the reality that through the efforts of the Left and this administration, they are shoring up the retirement system of the Ukrainian pensioners to the tune of a 20% raise in 2023.  The Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said, “As early as March, the government will index pensions by 20% for about 10 million Ukrainians.”  That is based on the funds sent to Ukraine by the Biden administration.  

Americans are looking at dramatic and austere belt-tightening for Social Security recipients in the future. Still, the government is working to ensure that other countries do not endure the same dilemma.  How is that for America first?  We have spent more than $100 Billion to aid Ukraine but engage in finger-pointing and trashing anyone wanting more money to stay home to take care of our own first. 

I believe in benevolence whenever possible, but it should be done in the right way and through the right venues.  The federal government appears to care more about citizens of other nations than Americans is not the right way!  All politicians engaging in such actions should face the real danger of not being reelected.  Instead, they are awarded additional terms to do further damage.  Rather than place the blame at the feet of the guilty, the finger-pointing facilitates the expanding divide in this nation, and we continue to plunge toward oblivion.

The Congressional Budget Office, in their 2022 report, stated: “…if Social Security outlays were limited to what is payable from annual revenues after the trust funds’ exhaustion in 2033, Social Security benefits would be about 23 percent smaller than the scheduled benefits in 2034.”  Wow!  We are taking measures to ensure the Ukrainians will get a raise in their pensions and leaving Americans who paid into Social Security holding the bag with austere cuts. 

I suspect that the CBO’s report is rosier than reality affords.  Social Security benefits come from payroll taxes and the Social Security’s trust fund “assets.”  That entire system was destroyed under Lyndon B. Johnson and continues to plunge toward extinction.  Maybe that is part of the plan to place us at the mercy of the federal government for our subsistence and thereby under their control. 

Either way, this is telling of the hypocrisy of the professional career politicians who have a secure retirement system.  They take care of themselves and other nations, but Americans are not on their list of priorities.   Our only value to them is our vote, and until they can figure out how to eliminate that, too, we have limited value.

Yes, Social Security is a government Ponzi scheme! Those of us who paid into the system expected to receive a reasonable return on our forced investment.  We know it is a government boondoggle and a terrible investment, but we had few other options.  Politicians know that if they act, the voters will respond, and their careers will be in danger.  Therefore, they have kicked the can down the road so long that the bill will soon become due, and there will be no way to avoid the dire measures that must be taken.

However, I think that virtually all Americans would agree that we should not be paying billions of dollars that we do not have to bolster up the infrastructure and social support for Ukraine or any other nation before taking care of our people’s needs. 

A recent report indicated that about 14 million will be dropped from Medicaid under the enacted new rules.  As of this date, there are approximately 84 million on Medicaid.  It has grown by about 20 million since January 2020.  At the beginning of COVID-19, the federal government stepped in to prevent states from taking people off Medicaid, even if they were no longer eligible.  Making too much money did not disqualify them.  If they gained healthcare coverage through an employer that did not disqualify them.  They were still on the rolls if they moved to a new state.

Just like purging the voter rolls of ineligible people, Medicaid should also do so.  Our ineptitude in handling the fiscal needs of government programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, and a plethora of entitlements being paid has brought us to this point.  We could have avoided much of it and averted the pain millions will feel, but politicians played politics rather than governing as mandated by the Constitution.

Couple the government’s mishandling of Medicare and Medicaid, take a peek at Biden’s H.R. 5376, and realize that it is a nightmare for retirement savers.  Biden’s campaign slogan, BBB – Build Back Better, is a joke of epic proportions.  Build what and where should be the question.  That bill was guaranteed to increase inflation.  Imagine that a bill titled “Inflation Reduction Act” is guaranteed to Increase, not decrease, inflation.  They knew it, they know it, and they want it.

The federal government has been printing fiat money for decades since the withdrawal from the ‘gold standard.’  That will not stop even though it is worthless paper backed by nothing.  Should our debt be called in or the world eliminates the Dollar from the standard, millions would find themselves destitute overnight.  Unless you are in possession of precious metals or have other trading commodities, you will face the dire conditions of Germany in the 1930s. 

If they destroy the money and make us totally dependent on the federal government, they will have the desired TOTAL CONTROL they have long sought.  America, we are in a mess and may be too far down the road to fix the problem.  My faith is not in government but in God.  I have preached for decades that there would come a time in America when God’s people had to trust Him totally again.  I believe we are there! 

We can’t fix this problem at the polls; we fix it on our knees.  We need divine intervention from heaven, a return to the Bible, moral rightness, and a restoration of ethics.  We need to become We The People, not We the Sheep.  It is time to think for ourselves and stand for what we believe.  God help us if we fail.

That question is not meant to disparage those suffering from mental disorders; it is a question regarding what is happening politically, economically, socially, and morally in America!  I keep thinking that things could not get any crazier, but politicians will do something to cause me to realize just how wrong I was.  They no longer do things under cover of darkness; they operate in plain sight fearlessly.  That is the basis of my question, “Is Lunacy the New Normal?”

In the GOP response to the State of the Union Address by Joe Biden, Sarah Huckabee Sanders made a succulent point, “The choice is between normal and crazy?”  When the federal government and its agencies of the government openly defy constitutional restraints, that poses a danger to the Republic.  We are in troubled waters when this administration can openly allow millions to illegally enter the country and blatantly lie, insisting the borders are secure.  We are in deep darkness when the government is more focused on protecting the criminals than the victims.  Thus, my question is, “Is Lunacy the New Normal?”

The followers of the “Woke” ideology and those pursuing the agenda of the Left are attempting to destroy the distinction between genders and force compliance to the New Normal of Lunacy.  When seventy-five percent of the nation believes we are on the wrong path politically, we should realize that the danger to the republic is real. 

The disaster at the southern border is not only endangering Americans but causing the death of many.  The drug cartels are flooding our nation with the incredibly dangerous drug fentanyl.  The surge in deaths from that illicit drug is horrifying, but Washington seems to be taking a ‘ho hum’ approach.  With the recent move of the Washington, DC., city council to allow noncitizens to vote, an objective related to the open borders, we should see an increase in Lunacy and a decrease in Sanity and Normal.  So, “Is Lunacy the New Normal?” 

On February 2, 2023, the House of Representatives passed a bill (H. Con. Res.9) opposing the implementation of socialist policies and denouncing socialism in all its forms.  The vote was 327-86.  How could 86 Democrats vote to oppose the opposition of socialism and socialistic policies?  Is that part of the lunacy?  An even more disturbing question is, “Why Was This Even Necessary?”  Why did Congress need to pass a bill that denounced Socialism?  What happened to Republicanism (not the party but the system of government)?

We have a condition in America where younger Americans, indoctrinated through our educational system’s promotion of Revisionist History, Political Correctness, and Wokeism, embrace Socialism.  That is troubling!  The Axios and Momentive poll of June 2021 revealed that 51% of young adults (18-34) have a positive view of socialism.  Those in the age group of 35-65+ also showed an uptick toward favoring socialism.  What has happened?  We have multi-generational professional entitlement recipients.  Freebies, for me, is the modern mantra!  Rational thought about the cost and who is paying is missing from the equation.  Therefore, the question, “Is Lunacy the New Normal?”

If we go back to FDR, we discover that a number of members of the Brain Trust and Think Tank that advised the president were advocates of Marxism and Leninism.  They helped to produce the “New Deal” and the disaster that was created.  The Great Depression, with over 20% unemployment, economic chaos, and starvation, provided the open the door to coerce Americans into accepting the government’s overreach.  Big Government became Mammoth and has never slowed down.

Lyndon Johnson brought us the ‘Great Society,’ an expansion of FDR’s ‘New Deal.’  They were going to stamp out poverty but instead enabled the federal government to overreach even more and have more control over our lives.  Some have called this era of Big Government the Administrative State and is the tool those seeking to destroy America from within are using to achieve their objectives.  We have been inundated with alphabet agencies, the EPA, FDA, SEC, etc. 

Those agencies tell us how to live and seek total control.  They have obliterated the separation of powers as they exercise the powers of all three branches of government.  They tell us how to pursue our health concerns, interact with the environment, operate in a pandemic, and more.   Is Lunacy the New Normal?

The Founding Fathers hammered out a Constitution that involved incredible thought, study, and compromise between the various ideologies of that day.  Those men desired a Republic with a Constitution that would safeguard the inalienable rights of all citizens.  They wanted to ensure that we would be able to pursue Life without government interference and excessive oversight.  They desired that we be guaranteed Liberty and allowed to Pursue Happiness with all our freedoms intact.  Today that is anathema to the globalists and followers of toxic liberalism. 

Today, the Biden administration is openly targeting conservative news outlets.  He and they are using taxpayer funds to blacklist, defund, and silence ‘The American Spectator’ and other conservative media outlets.  This is censorship!  It can be called nothing else.  If a media outlet presents false information, they should be held accountable, but in today’s PC world, only conservative outlets are deemed to be purveyors of disinformation or misinformation.  The liberal outlets are protected; what they present, debunked, and exposed is deemed truth and protected speech.  So, “Is Lunacy the New Normal?”

Today, we have evidence that the Biden administration is even cozier with George Soros than Obama was.  That is difficult to imagine, but a Soros Open Society Foundation director has visited the Biden White House over a dozen times.  The connection of this administration to China and other nations that openly hate us is disturbing.  If we follow the money that has come to Joe Biden since he entered Washington, it should be alarming.  A man that was not wealthy is not very wealthy on a salary that could not produce that wealth. 

We are not allowed to discuss inner-city crime, the origins of COVID-19, or illegal immigration.  We are not allowed to discuss gender blending, sex change for children, and more.  If we question any of those, we are deemed racist, homophobic, xenophobic, misogynist, or some other derogatory term.  We are called White supremacists and deemed worse than Lucifer himself. 

It is time to stop the lunacy, open the discussion between rational people, and see if we can find a solution.  I contend that the only solution is a return to our moral and biblical moorings.  If we keep electing those following the Lunacy of today in politics, we are part of the problem, not the solution.

America, I pray that we will awaken from our stupor and unite, returning to our foundational moorings and God.  I pray we will unite to reclaim our Republic and once again have a nation where ‘We the People’ have a voice and matter.

As I prepared to write, my mind was filled with many things, and the deep lostness of Woke America was foremost on my mind.  The question, “What Will It Take?” echoed in my mind.  “When?” was another question that tugged at my heart.  Then, I felt that I was sensing a shift in the winds in America.  But what does that mean?  What will that mean? 

For the past few months, I have been deeply troubled, and during the night, I awakened thinking about the myriad of issues facing my beloved nation.  As I mused on those things, I was drawn to the reality of what I had been proclaiming for a long time.  We Need God!  Before you reject everything, I ask that you hear me out.  Allow me to attempt to articulate what I mean.

Many of our Founding Fathers echoed the sentiment that the American experiment would fail without divine providence and favor.  Our first president and the man called the Father of our Country declared in his farewell speech on September 19, 1796, “The propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of right and order which Heaven itself has ordained.”  He continued, “Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports.  In vain would the man claim the tribute of patriotism who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens.”

President Washington, if you could see us now, you would decry the radicalization of the media, federal law enforcement, and federal agencies used to suppress our freedoms and infringe upon our religious liberties.  You would be stunned at the many antibiblical policies and practices being engaged in today.  In our formative years, the politicians encouraged and embraced the voice of the clergy in formulating our laws.  Our constitution and system of laws are connected to the precepts of the Ten Commandments and God’s laws described in the Bible. 

Today, the Left and some on the Right are engaged in stripping everything of God, moral sanity, and religion from the public square.  Maybe it is because they do not believe in God.  Perhaps it is because those rules of conduct impinge upon their ability to pursue the quest for power, graft, corruption, and wealth.  Maybe it is because they are products of the modern educational revisionist history and genuinely believe that the founders wanted religion and God to be banned from government.  I do not know, but I do know that the fruit of their actions is paying negative dividends, and we are suffering needlessly.

The Winds Are Shifting!  I see both the positive and the negative trends in the shifting political paradigm.  No, politicians are not changing for the better, but I sense that there are those in the public, working ordinary people, who are becoming aware of what is happening.  Many see, but because of what they have had ingrained in their psyche cannot abandon the parties that are weakening the framework of our republic.  They see, but habit and philosophical conditioning prevent them from casting their ballots against the destroyers.  They feel the pinch and detest the infringements upon their liberties but keep trying to blame the dastardly occupants of the opposing political party.

Habits are hard to break, and generational habits are even more challenging!  They are like the proponents of Socialism, and Communism, insisting that it fails because it has not been attempted correctly.  Many on the Left and the Right believe that we can fix the problems in America politically.  I think they are wrong! 

America will not be restored at the polls!  Politicians got us into this mess, but politicians will not deliver us from it.  Our drift from basic morality has opened the door to the chaos we face.  I believe that stripping the basic principles and precepts taught in the Bible from our educational system has aided in the decline. Our drift from our faith has been far more damaging than most will admit.

Proverbs 14:34 – “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”

Proverbs 29:2 – “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan.”

I unashamedly use scripture to define my concerns.  I believe that God, moral sanity, restoration of the home and family, and a return to public demand for ethics and accountability in all elected officials are keys to our recovery and restoration.  It bothers me that we have been governed by immoral, unethical, dishonest, and devious politicians for decades.  I am not saying that every person elected to a political office fits that bill, but many do. 

I am disturbed that many in America are not bothered by the graft, corruption, unethical, and immoral behavior of politicians.  I am disturbed that, even in the Church, there has been a growing shift to tolerance, refusing to call evil what it is, evil, and even calling evil good and good evil.  I am troubled when the voices of reason are silent, and the continuation of practices that brought us to the brink of destruction is accepted as the only pathway afforded us.

This will not resonate with everyone, but for those who believe in God and love America, I appeal to you.  We cannot fix America politically; the corruption of politics has grown too pervasive.  We cannot fix America socially with legislation.  We cannot fix America morally via laws, rules, edicts, and mandates.  We cannot fix America economically via the political process.  We have enough laws on the books now; if that were possible, we would be a utopia.  We are not!

How do we fix America?  Let me offer this to Christians and ask, “What Can We Do For Our Country?”  Several simple things must be at the forefront of all we do and think.  We need to live godly lives.  We need to teach and admonish other people to live godly lives.  We need to pray for those in positions of authority and government.

America began with the aid of God and thrived when the principles of God’s eternal rules of right and order were observed.  America became arguably the greatest nation in existence as we encouraged strong families, taught each generation the value of a work ethic, and respected the inalienable rights given to every human.

The Winds are Shifting, and two streams are flowing simultaneously in America today.  There is the stream that places God at the front and seeks to manifest His principles of right and truth. They desire honesty, live ethically, love tirelessly, and pray fervently.  The other stream disregards those, and the mantra is “Me.”  What is in it for me?  Hate is pervasive, and the caldron is boiling that will soon erupt into widespread chaos and bloodshed. 

Politicians and politics got us into this mess and will destroy us.  If we genuinely believe we can win enough elections to rectify the destruction, we are participating in the destruction.  Yes, we need to vote, but we must go beyond the polls and into our prayer closets.  We must reclaim the education of our children and teach truth, not the revised, politically correct version.  The truth may hurt, but if it is truth, it will enable us to learn from our mistakes and build on the positive.  Whitewashing history will not properly equip future generations to avoid the errors of the past.

The Winds are Shifting!  America can be salvaged!  But if it is, it will be on our knees!

No, I am not referring to the Mamas and Papas song from 1965.  Instead, I am speaking of the incredibly draconian, totalitarian actions by the state officials of the governor and elected officials of that other world.  I must apologize to all my wonderful California friends who are anything but followers of the toxic liberal woke agenda that is being imposed there.  There are good people everywhere; sadly, they are often a persecuted minority in some areas.

What I am talking about is the desire of the California governor and followers, as well as the national Woke proponents who are avid Greenies and desirous of achieving totalitarianism whereby they have total control of our lives.  California dreams of banning all combustion engine vehicles, gas stoves, and anything connected to the oil, gas, or coal industries.  They believe their actions are justifiable and required to save us from destruction!  Destroying our lives and ability to live is inconsequential; after all, saving the Smelt fish and addressing Global Warming while facilitating abortion and devious lifestyles must take precedence.

As many probably know, some months ago, the beautiful city of San Diego charted the course to tax people out of their automobiles and into public transportation.  The plan is to make driving your own vehicle so expensive that you have no option but to use public transit.  San Diego County’s Regional Transportation Agency (SANDAG) added to the pain of the price of gasoline with the plan to add three new half-cent sales tax increases.  Additionally, they are making over 800 miles of San Diego County freeway lanes into toll lanes and adding a milage tax for every mile driven to pay for their $165 billion mass transit plan. 

They have opted not to build the road improvements promised in an earlier plan but will keep the taxes intact until 2048 to pay for the improvements that are not forthcoming.  The Tractors song “Badly Bent” comes to mind, and the lyrics, “I’d like to ask the Congress, I’d like to ask the President where all the money went?”  They openly acknowledged that at the core of their intent is behavior change.  They said, “Charging fees for the transportation infrastructure that people use – for example, charging users for each mile they drive on the highway – can change travel behavior.”  Control, control, and more control is the desire.  We will tell you when, where, and how you can travel.

As usual, the people whom this plan will hurt the most are those on the lower end of the economic strata.  But the Donkeys are for the little people, right?  Then why is it that everything they do, hurts those of us who are not wealthy and frequently benefits those who are?  Could it be that their hands are also in the cookie jar?

We have had at least three decades of public education indoctrination with curricula and teaching methods designed to brainwash our most precious resource, young minds.  That is bearing the fruit they desired and deeply disturbing this Freedom Loving American Veteran.  I am a father and a grandfather, and what I see makes me weep and realize that the warnings of biblical writers are a modern reality.  We are living in dangerous and troubling times.  If this is not the biblical ‘Last Days,’ I am sure I do not want to be here when that time comes. 

California Dreaming is a phrase that I use to speak of the Utopianism of many on the Left and those who no longer believe in the ideal of America.  A recent poll indicated that only 27% of the younger generation are proud to be American.  I am convinced that is the result of the indoctrination they receive in educational circles, through the media, Hollywood, and the wise sages in athletics (sic). 

Those young minds have been filled with the rhetoric that capitalism is inherently evil and socialism or communism is pro-people, making everything equal and fair.  They have not been eyewitnesses of the devastation of those socio-political and socio-economic attempts.  They have not witnessed the devastating totalitarianism in those countries where socialism or communism is the government.  They have only heard the talking points of the Left, and as good soldiers of wokeism, they embrace it as the gospel.  After all, their fearless leaders would never lie to them, would they? 

A poll taken as recently as 2004 indicated that 91% of Americans were extremely or very proud to be American, and the United States ranked first in the world in national pride.  What caused this dramatic shift in national pride over the past two decades?  A recent poll indicated that the percentage had dropped to 68%, but in the two youngest generations, 38% of the Millennials and 16% of Gen Z are proud to be American.  The youngest generations are bearing the fruit of the design to destroy America from within.  A valid question would be, “Have we lost America?”

Who is to blame for this shift in ideological belief?  Who isn’t?  As a minister of the gospel, I blame those of us in the clergy for our failure to decry the wrongs being advanced and fight for what is biblical, moral, and the ideals of republicanism (not the political party).  I blame the educational system and those who seized control and mandated the toxic agenda and curricula.  I blame parents for not following the biblical precept of teaching our children at every opportunity and standing on biblical and moral principles rather than ceding the education of those children to politically correct modern indoctrination. 

Do I blame anyone else?  Of course, I also blame personal greed and the attitude of ‘what is in it for me?’ and ‘if it doesn’t impact me significantly, I’ll just let the politicians handle the politics.’  Our prosperity and freedom helped generate a spirit of indifference and self-centeredness that caused us to ignore the warning signs.  I blame the politicians for allowing the thirst for power and control and their newfound pathway to personal wealth.  I blame the globalist inspired by Hell, who learned they could shame and bribe governments and elected officials to achieve their ends.  Who is to blame?  All of us!

Hybrid Socialism/Marxism prevalent in America today claim’s that the United States has always been unfair, racist, misogynistic, xenophobic, homophobic, rapacious, and imperialistic.  In their minds and message, America was, is, and unless fundamentally transformed, evil.  The reality that Marxism and Socialism have failed miserably every time they were implemented is absent from their reality.  Those advancing the theory believe the previous attempts failed because those promoting the theories were not as intelligent as they are and drifted from those systems’ pure principles (sic). 

One day, the younger generations will be in charge, which is frightening for posterity.  Can you imagine what it would be like when those younger Americans blindly support efforts to fundamentally transform us and take total control?  Can any of those desiring to transform America explain how the plans of free everything will be paid for? 

How will the Utopian government facilitate the agricultural endeavors to feed the exploding population due to the absence of a border?  What will happen when the promised guaranteed job and income fail to become a reality?  What will happen when the dollar is stripped from its perch as the world’s reserve currency and becomes worthless paper backed by nothing?  How will that America defend itself against the inflexible diabolical powers that have attained global hegemony?  We will be a memory, not a republic, enslaved rather than free!  

America, if we do not wake up, we will witness the fundamental transformation of the Republic.  I hope to offer possible solutions in future articles.  But for now, my plea is, if you are a believer in God, please begin to intercede for America and, thereby, the world.

I can hear the clamor, ‘conspiracy theories again.’  But when facts back up a theory or a charge, it is not a theory but a reality.  It almost seems like someone seized control of the federal government without our seeing it.  Well, they did!  Some of us saw it and have been sounding the alarm, often called everything but a sane human being.

There are so many areas to address. They highlight the coup or coups that have been transpiring as the nefarious globalists, deep state adherents, and swamp denizens seek to ‘fundamentally transform’ our republic into something other than the Free, Constitutionally Guaranteed Republic our Founders created.

The Border is revelatory of a coup by the Left using the Biden administration as their shill to destroy America.  They have effectively erased the Southern Border and opened the floodgates to a planned invasion that will prove catastrophic for our republic and freedoms. 

Reports show that over 5 million have crossed our border with impunity and are largely ignored by the feds.  I do not recall a bill coming out of Congress that repealed our immigration laws, do you?  I keep looking for an Executive Order signed by Joe Biden that made illegal entry legal, but maybe I missed it.

How about the Student Loan Forgiveness that the courts declared illegal but that does not bother the Biden team?  In my decades on planet Earth, I have always found that money borrowed had to be paid back, usually with interest.  Of course, that is unless you default on the loan or declare bankruptcy.  Those have or have had repercussions and damage the borrower’s credit rating. 

Money does not grow on trees!  But under this administration, it magically appears from the printing press of the Federal Reserve, and the flow of fiat money continues.  Ultimately that house of cards will collapse, and countries will be forced to abandon worthless unbacked paper for something like gold to do their business.  Individuals will be the ones who pay the direst penalty for the government’s Ponzi scheme.  Hey, $30 Trillion is no big deal.  WRONG!

The revelations by Elon Musk regarding Twitter’s use by the diabolical agent of Leftism scream that a coup has been underway for some time.  The release of Twitter files reveals that the Deep State and the Swamp are alive, well, and very real.  The collusion between Big Tech and Big Government is so apparent that even a blind person could see it. 

We know, beyond a doubt, that the FBI utilized Twitter and Facebook to wage an attempted coup against Donald Trump and other Americans.  The members of the Deep State and Swamp screamed that there was no such thing as the Deep State and that no irregularities or illegalities had transpired.  It was all Trump and others on the Right crying foul when no foul had occurred.  We suspected that was fallacious, but now we know the facts, and Facts are stubborn things.  They reveal truth!

The FBI, eager to utilize the Social Media outlet Twitter, granted Top-Secret clearances to Twitter employees.  That is more than a little troubling, or should be. It demands a much more in-depth explanation than we have received thus far.  They not only went after Trump at every turn and scores of other conservatives but also sought to protect Hillary, Biden, and Obama, most assuredly, to discredit the revelations about Hunter Biden’s damning laptop.

The Elon Musk Twitter drop clearly shows that the DNC had Twitter go after actor James Woods.  Woods is an outspoken conservative, making the Left terribly uncomfortable and placing a find-and-destroy target on his back.  In Hollywood and Leftist Political Circles, he is persona non grata.  What needs to be discerned is if the federal government was involved and, if so, the question of constitutionality and criminality.

The Twitter executives were lying through their teeth the entire time.  They believed they were protected because Twitter was an arm of the Deep State, but Elon Musk arrived and exposed them.  Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey attempted to assure Congress and the public that shadow bans and targeting of individuals were non-existent.  Salacious lies!  They were actively blacklisting conservatives and keeping ‘disfavored’ tweets from seeing the light of day.  They were hiding accounts and topics without the users’ knowledge. 

They argued that the Twitter algorithm did not make judgments based on political views!  Most of us laughed when that assertion was made; we knew it was fallacious!  Mr. Dorsey boldly declared, “We certainly don’t shadow ban based on political viewpoints.”  Hey, Mr. Dorsey, if you believe what you are saying, I have some prime oceanfront property in the middle of Arizona that I want to sell to you.  It has flying pigs and unicorns on it too!

Beyond Twitter, we have been informed that House Republicans have uncovered Text and Email evidence that Nancy Pelosi and her staff secretly decreased security at the U.S. Capitol on January 6 and, at the same time, were organizing a film crew.  Does that smell like something is rotten in Denmark?  Something fishy there!  We have evidence that President Trump requested additional National Guard protection for the U.S. Capitol that day, but Nancy Pelosi turned him down.  Why?

Do you remember Nancy saying to her staged camera crew, “I hope [Trump] comes, I’m going to punch him out, and I’m going to jail, and I’m going to be happy’?”   Well, Nancy, you probably need to go to jail, but what you and your cohorts did on that day, after and previous to that day, scream coup, but not from Trump.

A fact check debunked the claim media claim that Trump ordered audits of James Comey and Andrew McCabe by the IRS.  An IRS watchdog revealed that little tidbit. The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration determined that the IRS randomly selected Comey and McCabe for audits of their tax returns from 2017 and 2019 as a part of a program the IRS uses to refine its technology.  There was no evidence of malfeasance by Trump or any Trump-appointed official.

The Department of Homeland Security’s Inspector General exonerated border patrol agents accused of whipping Haitian migrants as they crossed into the United States from Mexico.  Also, the Justice Department’s Inspector General debunked the infamous Steele dossier, which the media cited as evidence that Trump and his campaign conspired with Russia to influence the 2016 election.  Those are just a few pieces of evidence to reveal that the Left is engaged in a coup against our Constitutional Republic. 

The continual misinformation campaign by this administration and the Left is beyond disheartening; it is dangerous.  If we do not demand that politicians follow the rule of law and the constitution, we will continue to watch our Republic become something other than constitutional.   We must make them accountable – ALL OF THEM!
