Many have asked me, “What do you see, or think is going to happen in America after the 2020 elections?”  There is more in that question that I could possibly answer in a short article or blog post.  The truth is, I do not know what is going to happen, but have a sense of numerous things based on what I see, what the Bible teaches, and history. 

In the days to come, I believe, there will be two streams flowing at the same time in America.  When I say streams, I mean two pathways or series of events, actions, and activities and ideologies or agendas.  I see a stream of evil and destruction where the divide in this nation will grow more pronounced and the violence will escalate to the point of a volcanic type eruption with massive and pervasive unrest.  That could plunge us into another Civil War, and we could see Americans shedding the blood of other Americans in a literal war with gunfire.  I pray that will not happen but am convinced it is coming regardless of who wins the presidential election.

I see another stream flowing in which the Spirit of God touches hearts with an outpouring of God’s love and grace beyond anything we have witnessed in our lives.  I believe we will see gatherings of believers who have committed themselves to seek God with a passion and commitment beyond anything we have witnessed.  I believe that there will be evidenced a total abandonment to the Will and Purpose of God.  That will result in a revival where we will witness literally millions being converted.  It will produce healing.  But that healing will not eliminate the festering wounds in those who reject the Gospel and the Love of God. 

Those two eventualities will exist concurrently, and the stream of evil will exhibit the desire and objective of eradicating all who follow the other stream.  Regardless of which political party is in control of the government, there will be actions regarding Christians and Churches.  If the liberal leftists who follow the anti-God agenda gain control, there will be massive attempts to infringe upon our Religious Liberties as well as many other inalienable rights.  The Supreme Court will be packed, if they gain control of the Senate, keep the House and win the White House.  If they lose, we get a brief respite from the infringements because the other side will defend religious freedom.

I feel compelled to address the fallacious and unbiblical idea that we are to passively submit to human authority as believers.  That is contrary to several precepts, principles, and direct reflections in Scripture, I will not attempt to elucidate or articulate them all.  That would not find acceptance with those who disagree, but I leave it there and leave it for another blog and discussion.

It is my conviction and I believe the teaching of the Bible that the powers that God ordains are not a threat to the righteous.  That demands the question, “What happens if the powers are a threat to the righteous and righteousness?  What then?”  I believe the disciples answered that when standing before the Sanhedrin and instructed to stop preaching Jesus.  They said, “Who should we obey, God or man?”  I believe that is still the needed response from believers today.  We should always seek to obey God and say what His Word says and do what He commanded us to do.  We need to warn of danger and wickedness.  It is not political to identify the violations of biblical laws it is kingdom.

I ask you to consider these questions:

• Which party or candidate is a threat to the children’s education?
• Which party or candidate is a threat to a preacher’s right and ability to quote and preach the Bible?
• Which party or candidate is a threat to marriage and the family?
• Which candidate or party is a threat to life, the life of the unborn?
• What is our commission and mission as Christians and preachers?
• Are we not to warn the wicked and warn of danger?
• Are we not to declare the Word of God?

Matthew Henry said that the greatest danger in the end times will be the corruption of the church not the immorality of those outside.  Our mandate as Christians is not to avoid contact and association with those who are outside the faith or the church.  They are our mission field.  We win people by our lives not just our words.  However, we are directed to turn away from those who have a form of godliness but deny God’s authority and power.  A brother that is living immorally or in violation of God’s ways is to be turned away from.

I believe that the Christian vote could make this election a landslide.  I have said that for more than a decade.  However, I realize that many are silenced out of shame, fear, or misunderstanding.   I have talked to Christians who are intimidated by their own pastors and people inside the church.  We are to be light and salt in this earth.  Are we? 

In writing a blog that touches people of all religious persuasions and some that do not believe in God, I know that I am walking a thin line in my reflections as to how believers should live.  However, if we love Freedom and America, we can unite in the common cause of keeping America the Free Constitutional Republic and that means defeating those who are anti-everything the Republic was designed to be and frequently anti what the Bible teaches.

Let me offer this observation and thought: “True Marxism has no conscience.”  In his day, Charles Spurgeon rebuked Marxism from the pulpit and prevented Karl Marx from gaining a foothold in England Marx’s only recourse was Russia where there was no gospel opposition.  The Outpouring of the Holy Spirit is possibly the most essential key to overturning the destruction in America and the world.  Not by Might nor by Power, but by My Spirits says the LORD.  Jesus said, “The Spirit of God is upon me because He has anointed me to…”

I believe that it is a demonstrated reality that a man will die for his convictions but not for his opinion or preferences.  Sadly, the church has allowed the devil to steal our language and the political movement of the Left is stealing our words and our purpose.  They are reshaping the narrative and redefining what it means to be an American and have become a virtual god to the masses.  That is anathema to God’s Purpose and Word as well as to the principles of Freedom and Liberty in Republicanism.

What do I see happening in America after the 2020 election?  I see truth coming to the forefront, and it will be a direct threat to those who seek to destroy our Freedom and Liberty.  Anyone speaking the truth will be targeted and there will be an attempt to destroy if they cannot destroy them economically or influentially, they will seek to exterminate them physically.  It is coming!

I agree with Evangelist Mario Murillo that the power of social media has transformed the attitude of the nation.  State and regional lines no longer exist there are no pockets of ideology untouched by those of a different ilk.  What were once safe zones spiritually and ideologically are being reshaped because of the internet.  What is happening in one part of the country can happen in every part.  The internet and social media are like a virus that spreads ideas and agendas powerfully.  We have to wake up and take advantage of the platforms available and preach the gospel of Christ and present the Truth, biblically, historically, and morally.

History is replete with examples of God aiding people when they turn to Him and pray.  This is not Republican vs Democrats it is Good vs Evil.  When one party hates Christianity, the Bible, and American History that means they must be rejected.  We have a mission, an assessment, and a purpose.

Trump is a vehicle God has chosen to bring us to God’s purposes.  The Kingdom of Heaven suffers violence and violent men take it by force.  God has used wrecking balls in history to bring people back to him.  Trump is a man with flaws and not a god.  He is not flawless, but he is a catalyst to bring us to the purposes of God. 

Those are a few of the reasons I will vote against the globalists, leftists, liberals, socialists, Marxists (Democrats) in November, and beyond.  I stand for Faith, Family, and Freedom.

I have some dearly loved and well-meaning friends who are adamantly opposed to anything regarding God, the Bible, and religion being inserted into politics or government.  They believe that our Founding Fathers and the Bible mandate that Government and God remain as far apart as the East is from the West.  They believe the indoctrination of those who insist that a “Wall of Separation” must exist and want the church relegated to the pulpit and politics allowed to govern our lives. 

I find that anathema to my faith, insulting to my reason, and beyond dangerous.  Politics affects life and the Bible is about life.  God must be Number One in our lives and if we are to ‘seek Him first’ that means He must be above all things including politics.  If we allow the secular to govern and insist that the spiritual is only to be applied to individuals and always remain private and personal, we miss a clear danger and benefit. 

I truly believe that God is LORD of All and until we acknowledge that we will continue our descent into the quagmire of hate, bitterness, violence, interracial tension, and destruction.  The Golden Rule was not given by Jesus just to offer a nice-sounding cliché but as a guide for life.  The Bible is replete with pleas and directives regarding interpersonal relationships and even our relationship with the government. 

Before you argue that we are mandated to sheepishly comply with all edicts of government, never be critical of wrongful behavior or sin, and never allow our the Bible to guide our politics, I ask that you consider some pertinent biblical and societal considerations. 

John Adams, wrote, “The general principles, on which the Fathers achieved independence, were the only Principles in which that beautiful Assembly of young Gentlemen could Unite…And what were these general Principles? I answer, the general Principles of Christianity, in which all these Sects were United: And the general Principles of English and American Liberty, in which all those young Men United, and which had United all Parties in America, in Majorities sufficient to assert and maintain her Independence.” (Letter to Thomas Jefferson, June 28, 1813).

Our early Congress regularly called for days of fasting and prayer and declared on such call on May 17, 1776, as a “day of Humiliation, Fasting and Prayer…[to] confess and bewail our manifold sins and transgressions, and by a sincere repentance and amendment of life, appease his [God’s] righteous displeasure, and through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ, obtain his pardon and forgiveness.”  How is that for a Wall of Separation between the Church and the State?  Hard to argue that point with that in mind, isn’t it?

Benjamin Franklin made a clarion call for prayer at the Constitutional Convention when things were becoming bogged down with wrangling, disagreement, and argument.  He and the founding fathers attended a July 4^th worship service at a Christian church in Philadelphia a variation of his request was adopted. He said, “In the beginning of the Contest with Great Britain when we were sensible of danger, we had daily prayer in this room for Divine protection.  Our prayers, Sir, were heard, and they were graciously answered…To that kind of Providence we owe this happy opportunity of consulting in peace on the means of establishing our future national felicity.  And we have we now forgotten that powerful Friend?  Or do we imagine we no longer need His assistance?”  (June 28, 1787)

John Adams made a powerful argument for including God in government and for excluding the government from interference in religion.  He said, “We have no government armed in the power capable of contending in human passions unbridled by morality and religion.  Our constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.  It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other.”  (1798, Address to the militia of Massachusetts).  He also said, “Nothing is more dreaded than the National Government meddling with Religion.”

In a letter to Benjamin Rush on June 12, 1812, he wrote, “Although the detail of the formation of the American governments is at present little known or regarded either in Europe or in America, it may hereafter become an object of curiosity. It will never be pretended that any persons employed in that service had interviews with the gods, or were in any degree under the influence of Heaven, more than those at work upon ships or houses, or laboring in merchandise or agriculture; it will forever be acknowledged that these governments were contrived merely by the use of reason and the senses.”

He was not alone and men like Franklin, Jefferson, Samuel Adams, John Jay, Benjamin Rush, Alexander Hamilton, George Washington, and James Madison all echoed those sentiments. 

Today we are facing a reality where the two major American political parties are in stark contrast on God and Government.  There are some in the Republican Party that is “Wall Builders” regarding the involvement and influence of religion in government but for the most part, it is the Democratic Party that is the anti-God or anti-religion party. 

I do not know President Trump’s relationship with God, but he openly acknowledges God and God’s sovereignty.  He calls for prayer and expresses faith in God’s wisdom and purposes.  He said, rightly, “We will decide whether we will defend the American way of life, or whether we will allow a radical movement to completely dismantle and destroy it.”  He, then promised, “That won’t happen!”  He promised to fight for our Freedoms and Inalienable Rights and recognized that God, not the government has extended those rights to individuals. 

The contrast is the Democratic Party refuses to fly the American flag at their gatherings and omits any mention of God in their procedures and processes.  The Democrats insist that they are the antidote to produce America’s Redemption and only as they are given total power can America be restored.  That is the same rhetoric that despots in history have used time and again. 

President Trump said, and I agree, “In America, we do not look to career politicians for salvation.  In America, we do not turn to government to restore our souls – we put our faith in Almighty God.”  America, Joe Biden, and the Democrats, Globalists, Leftists, Marxists, Socialists, and Activists are not where American’s salvation comes.  They will destroy jobs, increase taxes, open borders, expand abortion, and further restrict our inalienable rights including our First, Second, Fourth, and Tenth, Amendment Rights as well as a myriad of other infringements they plan.  They will destroy!

It is not politicians that I place my trust but GOD!  Therefore, I will vote for the party that most closely aligns with the precepts and principles of the Bible and that is not the Donkey Party.  I will vote YES on Trump and the Republicans in November and NO on Biden and the Democrats.  If you want to follow God and the principles and precepts of the Bible, I believe you will drop the personality issue that is driving the hatred toward Trump and vote for Freedom and Faith!

That should start the war of words and possibly become a boiling cauldron of controversy, but I believe I heard that in my heart as I was praying.  You may believe God no longer speaks and that He is not interested in politics, but I do. I believe that God is the Living God and concerned with life, all aspects of it! Hebrews 13:8 informs us that Jesus is unchanging and the same past, present, and future.  Therefore, I believe if God did, He does and will continue to do whatever He pleases.

I have been deeply troubled over America and weep over the conditions that exist in America and the Church.  On more than one occasion, as I was praying and meditating on the Word and the situation, I had a sense in my heart that God was impressing me with a unique thought.  I did not hear an audible voice, but it was an impression upon my heart that spoke into my spiritual hearing.  What I heard got my attention and caused me to sense a need to repent for myself and my nation as well as the church.

I believe God is speaking to His Body, the Church, and saying, “This election is up to you.”  I sensed in my heart that the LORD is very unhappy with the division in the church today.  When the Body of Christ pits itself against each other, the devil and evil win.  I believe there are some clear biblical and constitutional guidelines that should be the determining factors for our political decisions as individuals and nations.  I want to briefly address that statement in the following paragraphs and hope what I say will resonate with you.

I have a sense that the LORD was directing me to drop the view of him vs him or them vs us and focus on policy, position, agenda, and ideology.  I am sensing a deep need to review the party platforms of both major political parties and compare them to the Law of God.  When I say the Law of God, I do not mean the Levitical Law, but God’s precepts and principles as detailed in the Bible.  I believe that if a political party takes a position that is in direct violation of God’s Word, I need to pay careful attention to that fact. 

If we focus on personalities, we will be in danger of missing the important elements of the agenda and may facilitate the rise of an evil that produces a condition far worse than our discomfort with a personality.  If we focus on people, we will not see the big picture and be easily swayed by emotion rather than reason and reality.  If we allow our political, social, business, and spiritual decisions to be based on emotion we are easy targets for deception.  Feelings come and feelings go, but facts are constant, and the truth remains true regardless of how we feel.  We should be a seeker of facts and truth and a people who seek to see the Big Picture not the Actors on the Stage.

I will not attempt to walk through all the agenda of the two political parties but one that should be huge for Christians and Constitutionalists is Abortion.  There is nothing in the American Constitution that affords the right to an abortion.  It could be argued that it is an individual State issue covered by the 10^th Amendment but there is no constitutional provision for abortion.  Truthfully, there is a constitutional prohibition revealed in the Declaration of Independence that we have the inalienable right to Life.  You can deem that life in the womb a blob, a mass of tissue, and a lifeless form until it has been birthed but that is not medically or scientifically defensible. 

On a biblical level abortion violates the heart of God. I do not know how any believer could argue that God supports or allow abortion and abortion on demand.  When I consider passages such as Isaiah 44:24, “Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, and the One who formed you in the womb, ‘I the LORD, am the maker of all things, stretching out the heavens by Myself, and spreading out the earth all alone…”  How can I deny that that being in the womb is not a fetus but a baby, a life, a person, and a human waiting to be birthed? 

I also refer to Jeremiah 1:5 where God said to the prophet, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”  God knew Jeremiah before he was conceived and determined the purpose of his life before he was born.  How then can I deny that that being in the womb is a life and if it is a life then it has the constitutional protection of the Right to Life?  To deny that right is to commit murder.  That will make some so angry they want me tarred and feathered but I believe it and it is a deep core conviction of my heart.

When it comes to things like same-sex marriages, I won’t list all the biblical directives about gender, sex, lifestyles, and actions but will declare that God calls it an abomination. Yes, sexual preference! Therefore, if a party endorses that lifestyle and argues that those who do not believe nor practice that lifestyle must accommodate, in violation of their faith, those practices I resist.  If you consider my statement ‘gay-bashing’ please don’t.  Although difficult, I constantly attempt to divest the person from the action and can honestly say, I love them but reject their lifestyle.

Those who argue they are Constitutional Originalists but are pro Biden and the Democrats, I ask how can you take that position?  Do you believe that the 2^nd Amendment is constitutional and the view of the Original Intent of the Framers?  Biden, Harris, and the Democrats do not, so how can you support them and yet insist you are what you claim?  Do you believe in the right of personal property?  Do you believe the massive entitlements are constitutional?  Our framers argued they are not, but the Democrats see them as a vehicle to power.  How can you support the Democrats from a Constitutional basis? I could also include Freedom of Speech and Religion!

The Democrats oppose all federal and state laws that prohibit or restrict abortion.  They support restoring taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood.  They desire to repeal the Hyde Amendment, which prohibits federal funds from being used for abortion services.  The Democrats support mandatory testing, treatment, and eventual vaccines for COVID-19 and who knows what next.  They want to expand Obamacare and make it mandatory for all citizens.  They support the Climate Change Paris Agreement and want to impose the New Green Deal on us and virtually destroy our fossil fuel industry. 

The Democrats are in support of defunding the police.  They support the revision of American history and the removal of all things related to God and Christianity from the public square.  They support the mandatory exercise of political correctness and demand that we endorse the myriad of genders now called valid.  They want to expand the education of our children and teach the revised history and science to fit the Leftist Agenda and Ideology.  They want to erase American sovereignty as a nation and open our borders to give unlimited ingress and egress for anyone anytime and from anywhere for any purpose.

The Democrats are in favor of mandating to the Churches what is politically acceptable for them to accept or reject and to preach from the pulpits.  There is much more, but as a Christian and as one who believes in the Constitutional being interpreted from an Originalist position, I must reject them.

What I sensed from God was that the Church MUST return to Him and unite to fight evil.  We MUST return to the Bible and the precepts and principles of God and pray like never before.  We must pray as Elijah prayed ‘earnestly’ and ‘fervently’.  We must follow the mandate of 2 Chronicles 7:14 and pray for Peace and Restoration. 

This cannot be about personalities it must be about principles, policies, agendas, and ideologies.  If we are unable to divest the personality from the mix and focus on the agenda and platform, we will continue the division.  If we can come together based on God’s Word and the Constitution we can and will determine this election and every future election.  IT IS UP TO US!

2 Chronicles 7:14 – “and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  NASB

I openly acknowledge that I am a Christian, a preacher, a patriot, a Vietnam veteran, a father, a grandfather, and a lover of Freedom I find that those distinctions open me up to criticism and frequently put me on a watch list.  What I mean by that was amplified in a challenge I recently received to my quoting of the scripture I listed at the outset, 2 Chronicles 7:14. 

The person challenging me and, in a measure, castigating me was a fellow believer in the Lord Jesus and a genuine lover of America.  I was not put off by their challenge although they were very adamant and even a little belligerent, insisting that their view was the right view, and everyone needed to ascribe to that view.  That attitude is frequently caustic and divides more than unites.  The belief and objective may be right or wrong, but the attitude sometimes prevents the message from receiving a positive reception.

AMERICA NEEDS TO REPENT.

That’s what they insisted when I quoted 2 Chronicles 7:14 and even wrote and spoke about its message and mandate.  The argument was, “America needs to repent, and until the nation repents God will not come to our aid.” Hopefully, I can present my thoughts without being antagonistic and argumentative.  I hope what I say will be inspirational and illuminative. 

I ask that you walk through what this passage says as we weep over the state of our nation.  Let me state, I am thankful for what has been done positively in America during the past four years.  I am sorrowful over what is being done and is being done in the chaos, anarchy, rioting, hate, bitterness, vitriol, and division.  I believe we are focusing on the wrong things and therefore can never find the genuine and needed solution to our nation’s ills. 

What I am going to say is not directed to those, in this nation, who do not believe in God, nor follow Jesus as their Savior.  I am not attempting to address those who are not Christians.  They are Americans and valued by God, the Constitution, and me.  I am not writing to disparage them in any measure, they are what they are, they believe what they believe, and therefore do what they do, based on who they are on the inside. 

What I desire to address is directed specifically to the Body of Christ, the Church, the Christians who are citizens of this great nation.  I believe that the healing of the nation is not dependent on America, as a nation, repenting of her sins.  I will not argue that the nation has no sin and does not need to repent on many fronts.  That is not the focus and directive of 2 Chronicles 7:14, which is a critical element in America’s healing and survival. 

Some weeks ago, in my prayer time, I had a clear impression from that voice inside my heart that said, “This election and the healing of the nation is up to you.”  That was shocking, stunning, and disturbing.  My question to the LORD was, “Up to me?”  Then, I sensed that it was not the specific you (Roy Beaird) but you as in the collective meaning the Body of Christ and Christians.  I knew in my heart that God was telling me that the outcome of the election and the healing or fall of the nation was in the hands of His People.  I was immediately drawn to 2 Chronicles 7:14, Matthew 6:9-13, Matthew 6:33, and other passages related to His Kingdom, His Rule, His Person, His Presence, His Power, and His Purpose.

That caused me to carefully meditate upon the words in the passage that promises healing for the nation.  Let’s examine it bit by bit and if it resonates with you that is great, and if not then dismiss it.  I offer the thought which I believe to be biblically sound and provides a rational and reasonable approach.  I believe it places the onus where it belongs and if embraced will compel those of us who believe in God and call ourselves Christians.  It may seem a heavy load, but it comes with God’s Promise of Healing therefore worth it.

IF MY PEOPLE WHO ARE CALLED BY MY NAME.

That statement is not directed at the nation but to the believers.  Therefore, everything in this directive is to be viewed as the mandate for those who are ‘believers’.  It is not directed to those who are not.  It is not a call for the nation but the Church or the Body of Christ to take a specific and definitive action.  Although, I would never argue that it is not needed and good for the entire nation to repent and turn toward the right, the moral, and the good.

The directive is that we are to “humble ourselves.”  It is one thing to humble ourselves and another to be humbled.  I have experienced both and can assure you that even though neither is pleasant it is far more pleasant and productive to humble ourselves than to experience being humbled.  Both involve a bit of humiliation but being humbled can be utterly devastating. 

Included in that directive is “pray.”  We are directed to pray but not just generalized generic prayers.  We are to pray out of a spirit of humility and total dependence on God.  We are to pray specific prayers for the healing of the nation.  If we anchor that with Matthew 6:9-13 and with Matthew 6:33 we will realize that we are asking God to demonstrate His Kingdom, Rule, and Reign on this earth and in our lives.  We are, in humility seeking His face not just for ourselves but for our nation. 

We are also to take definitive steps to “turn from our wicked ways.”  That did not say the nation’s wicked ways but ‘our wicked ways.’  We are not praying over the wickedness of the government.  We are not focused on the wickedness of those outside the Body of Christ but “our wickedness” which may include our negligence in obedience.  This places the onus on us to repent which means to turn in the opposite direction and do differently than we have been doing.  We are seeking God in an attitude of personal repentance as we intercede for the healing of our nation.

THEN…

The Promise is, “then I will hear from heaven…”  That is incredible because according to 1 John 5:14-15, “If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”  The next part of that is that “if He hears us the prayer is answered.”  We have the direct promise of God to HEAR if we humble ourselves, pray, seek His face, repent, and turn from wicked or disobedience practices in our lives.  We have the promise of God to answer and HEAL our Land! 

Therefore, the healing of the nation is in the hands of the Body of Christ.  We need to stop looking at the sins of the nation and look at our own lives and follow the directive of 2 Chronicles 7:14 and thereby watch God HEAL OUR LAND!  I am committed to obedience and intercession for the nation. 

There is an answer to our ills and it not politics, laws, or interpretation of those laws, IT IS RETURNING TO GOD with a Whole Heart.  Believers we can see our nation healed.

The election is about which candidate is going to be elected but it is much more than that.  I believe that this is an election presenting a choice between Freedom and Slavery and between Good and Evil.  It is not so much Republican vs Democrat as diabolical ideology vs preservation of the Republic.  I’m sure some will argue that I am a million miles from reality in that declaration, but that is what I see, and I am not alone.

I remember Ronald Reagan observing almost three decades ago, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.  We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream.  It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same.”   I believe that Reagan, like our founding fathers, understood that Freedom is an idea and an inalienable right given to us by God.  It is NEVER the government’s right to infringe upon our Freedom, Rights, or Liberties. 

Although it is not their right, they have done it repeatedly and are attempting to strip us of our Freedom and enslave us in a tyranny of epic proportions.  Long before Barack Hussein Obama made his declaration that we were only days away from the fundamental transformation of the United States of America, the Left has been planning and waging war on our Freedom. 

Obama kicked that effort into overdrive and now that Trump defeated Hillary in 2016 and done great damage to their agenda, they have kicked their effort into hyperdrive.  What we have been witnessing for the past four years and especially the last year is Obama’s policies and agenda on steroids. 

Our educational and political system have been laboring for decades to mandate the politically correct Marxists Liberal Socialist and Globalist worldviews.  Social justice has become a watchword and a war cry for the Left.  Sadly, social justice is not their objective but the fundamental transformation of America and gaining total dominance and control.  We have slumbered and they have labored.  The price for that error may be too grave to overcome.

In our modern politically correct world, Christianity is taboo in the public square.  Americanism and patriotism are anathema to the Democrats as was observed in this and previous national conventions.  No American flags flew, and no mention of God allowed.  The agenda presented is designed to ‘fundamentally transform or change America’ into something other than what our founders envisioned and delivered. 

COVID-19 presented them with a weapon to tyrannize America and force us into paranoia and fear that would allow them to exercise control beyond any legitimate and sensible boundaries.  They were terrified at the prospects of Trump’s reelection, which was almost a foregone conclusion until the virus afforded them the ability to destroy the economy and lockdown our society.  Fear is a powerful tool and as Rohm Emanuel, Obama’s right-hand man said, “Never let a good crisis go to waste.”  The Alinsky mantra and modus operandi are readily practiced by the Democrats.

I am stunned that there is so much hate for Trump and anyone agreeing with his policies.  It reveals how deeply our society has become entrenched in the Socialist and Globalist mindset. It reveals how fearful people are of being viewed in a negative or derogatory manner and branded a racist, sexist, or having some socially unacceptable phobia.  We were once the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave and are rapidly becoming the Land of the Enslaved and Home of the Fearful.  That must change!

We have ignored the flubs or faux pas and Freudian slips of Joe Biden which reveal much about his character and the agenda of the Left.  He has openly talked of a ‘physical revolution’ and members of his party announced that ‘violence is necessary and justifiable.’  Barack Obama has dropped all pretense of being a moderate in his political views and has sided with the terrorists now roaming our streets.  The mayor of New York City has used Gestapo type tactics to restrict free assembly and shut down businesses not deemed necessary.  Cities like Los Angeles have gone so far as to empower politicians to deprive citizens of power and water in their homes to force them into compliance. 

We are watching the incessant and determined effort to mandate a national policy of ‘vote by mail’ which can rightly be defined as ‘cheat by mail.’  Anyone with any semblance of reason cannot ignore how fraught with opportunity for fraud that system would present.  It would be impossible to police and make the election so suspect that no one would be able to accept the outcome. 

Everyone who loves Freedom should be on edge because of the realization of just how dangerously near, we are to the edge of the abyss politically.  We are surrounded by evil and those who want to strip us of our liberties and impose their brand of rule.  This is not new, but it is new in the sense that it has escalated to the degree and scope that it has. 

Ronald Reagan’s words are both inspiring and chilling in light of current events.  Yet, before Reagan Lord Acton’s words send chills down my spine.  He said, “At all times sincere friends of freedom have been rare, and its triumphs have been due to minorities.”  The daunting task we have before us to preserve the Republic is no more daunting than was the challenge our Founding Fathers Faced in 1776.  This is not new and in a very real sense, this is the way it has always been.  Freedom has few genuine defenders and few that are willing to die for it.

I have long argued that we are in a war between Good and Evil in 2020 America.  We are fighting a war between Truth and Deception.  I did not say falsehood but deception.  Evil is noted as coming in the form of an ideology that provides a platform for om man to justify his unspeakable actions and the harm he inflicts on society and others. 

I read that the German Prison Camp Auschwitz greeted each prisoner with the damnable lie, “work sets you free.”  The Buchenwald Camp expanded that insult and lie saying, “everyone gets what he deserves.”  Seriously?  No one deserved the torture or the ovens the Nazis imposed.  The race-bating of the Democrats and the support of domestic terrorism is destroying America.  We cannot heal when promoting hate.

There is no vaccine for hate but there is an antidote. It is God, God’s Love, and Freedom.  The power that Free People have to confront evil is enormous.  The Power of Love is incredible.  The protections Freedom provides is worth whatever price we have to pay to achieve and preserve it. 

I see a line being drawn in the sand and we will choose this November to remain Free or we will blindly be deceived into submitting to Tyranny and Slavery.  We will either overcome Evil with Good or we will allow Evil to prevail.  The choice is ours and as for me and my house, we will Vote No on the Slavery of the Democrats and Yes on the Freedom found in their defeat.

We have endured four long years of insane and intense hate beyond anything I have ever witnessed or believed I would see in my lifetime.  The unhinged activities and rhetoric have pushed our beautiful nation to the brink of destruction and divided us so deeply we may never recover.  I thought the eight years of the Obama inflaming of racial tension and division would be the crest of the wave, but I was wrong.  The Leftists, Globalist, Marxist, Communist, Socialist, and follower of Toxic Liberalism’s reaction to Trump has revealed that the frying pan was only the precursor and the flame is upon us.

I am stunned at how many who name the name of Jesus and identify as leaders of the Evangelical movement are throwing their support behind the Democrats and Joe Biden.  I have listened to their arguments and read their descriptions and have come away with a gnawing sense that deception has prevailed even in the Church.  If it has succeeded in gaining a foothold in the Church what does that say about the condition of the world? 

I contend that justifying or attempting to justify a personal preference by giving it a virtuous name is a delusion, deception, and even a measure of sanctimonious hypocrisy.  Everyone has the right to prefer one thing or one person over another politically, socially, economically, etc.  We have the right to choose the things we accept and the things we reject in those areas.  I have no problem with anyone choosing to support one candidate over another, but to attempt to equate Trump to the devil and ultimate evil and make Biden a more saintly is biblically and rationally dishonest. 

The Bible must not be used to justify our preferences but should shape our preferences, appetites, and worldviews.  Our values should be developed based on what God’s Word declares rather than attempting to use God’s Word to justify our preferences.  When we give virtue to our decisions, we allow the lie to stand, have legitimacy, and thrive.  That, we must all avoid. 

I have listened to the arguments that Trump has killed more people than abortion and was astounded.  That is so blatantly untrue I cannot fathom a Christian Leader making that statement. I do not say those leaders are liars, but they have believed a lie and following that lie leads them into darkness and blindness.  Thus, they become blind leading the blind and all that follow will find the ditch as their ultimate destination.  The result of that is that America and the Church will suffer as a result and evil will become stronger and have more influence and power.  That is not the biblical declaration of how it should be but through our choices and with our voices we open doors or close them.

The justification of abortion because a woman is concerned about the financial aspect of raising that child or because of the other reasons voiced is ludicrous.  Adoption is an Always an Option!  It matters not if the baby is the result of a sinful engagement or if the woman was married and her husband died or left, Adoption is still the Option.  It matters not if the family has too many children and another would overload their ability to care for them, Adoption is the Option!  If the choice to take steps to not become pregnant were not followed, for whatever reason, the choice to kill is not legitimate.  Well, not in the view of the Bible nor the view of this American.

The argument that Trump is killing people or stripping people of health insurance or care because of the desire to repeal Obama Care (Affordable Health Care Act) is fallacious.  Trump has voiced on many occasions the desire to ensure that people with pre-existing conditions have coverage.  The debacle of Obama Care sent insurance prices for most through the roof and relegated people to lesser coverages and loss of their preferred doctors and hospitals.  Our current laws ensured that people could always get care at the Emergency Room.  Many that were not covered did not want coverage.

The idea that Trump has destroyed the economy without those making the charge giving due consideration to the impact of the lockdown in this pandemic pandemonium and overreach of Democratic Governors and Mayors, as well as Congress, is to be dishonest.  Trump immediately took steps to impede travel from China and infected areas only to have Biden and the Democratic leaders call him every name under the book and encourage people to get out because there was no threat.  Once the threat became apparent, they began shouting that he acted too slowly and disregarded the advice of science.  That is fallacious and anyone honestly reviewing the process knows that.

The intense hatred that has been non-stop for almost four years is beyond any script that Hollywood could have produced for a Tragedy.  The Russia hoax that has the fingerprints of Obama and Clinton all over it was launched.  We have had ridiculous attempts to oust this President since before the inauguration and now Nancy Pelosi is claiming that his COVID treatment has so addled his brain that he is a danger to himself and America.  She ignores the doctors and the reality that Trump has been consistently the same for four years.  It is she, Biden, and the Democratic establishment that has been demonstrating signs of mental incompetence.  I agree that much if not most of that incompetence has been driven by their intense hate.

As I have watched this all play out, I have had the nagging question in my heart, “What is it about Trump and his agenda that so infuriates and threatens them?”  The them that I speak of I call the Swamp, the Deep State, the Haters and the Power-Hungry Globalists who want to rule TOTALLY. 

What is the root of this?  Why have we endured an assault on our electoral system and system of government so intently?  I believe the answer lies, in part, in the fact that Trump represents something other than the Old Boy System.  He has consistently fought for America, the American people, sought to protect our religious freedoms and other inalienable rights.  He has sought to reduce the stranglehold of government regulations that opened our economy prolifically and resurrected the American Dream. 

I do not believe that the hate being manifested is solely directed at the man, although his personality can be caustic and abrasive.  I believe that it is more out of fear of the loss of power and control.  The Ruling Class of both parties believes it is their divine right to rule.  I say that even though most of them do not seem to believe in the divine and believe the only divine is them and their power.  They want us indebted to them and thereby suppressed so that we sheepishly follow their flute and dance to their music. 

As a Christian, a Vietnam Veteran, an American, and a Lover of Freedom I seek to find out what God’s Word says and shape my views based on that Word.  I examine the platforms, political history, and agenda of the parties and candidates and compare it to the Word of God.  I then ask myself, “What is best for America?”  I believe that as a Christian for me to vote for Biden would be to insult the holiness, love, and mercy of God.  You can believe the lie and empower it to survive and thrive or you can ask God to enable you to honestly and without bias look at the facts.  I would ask that you ask God what He would have you do rather than tell Him why He wants you to do what you have decided.

It is my conviction and that of others of the same mind as I that when any person organization, political party, or entity proves themselves to be abusive and/or irresponsible with power they are UNQUALIFIED to have power.  I believe it becomes the duty of the populace to take whatever steps are required to guarantee that that person or those people are no longer entrusted with power.  That rejection must continue until they have demonstrated a change of heart, mind, and attitude that is conducive to service, not abuse. 

Some will say, “Yep, that’s Trump and he has to go.”  Trump is not who I am talking about but the Democratic Party on a national level.  I believe that over the past four years and beyond they have demonstrated they are both abusive and irresponsible in the use of the power afforded them as legislators, judges, and media members.  The escalation of that abuse and irresponsibility was exponential in the wake of the 2016 election.  They are so committed to destroying Trump and our Constitutional Republic they have become our prime constitutional enemy and pose our greatest threat.

From our beginning, Americans have spilled their blood to liberate America and much of the world from the tyranny of fascism, Marxism, socialism, and communism.  The oppressive ideology they have embraced which includes a virtual if not a literal war on faith and freedom cannot be overlooked.  We have endured over six months of pandemic paranoia and now rioting is prevalent throughout this republic.  That causes me to argue that the natural bent of the Leftists is not freedom but tyranny.  They want to control and are willing to use any means to attain that lofty perch of rulership. 

America is no longer facing a difference in the ideology of two political parties.  It is no longer policy differences, but a war for freedom.  We are no longer enduring political cycles where one political party controls for a time and then another rises to governance.  We are in a literal War for Freedom!  This election is the most critical we have ever faced and may determine whether we will see another.  This election will determine whether we have any hope of returning to constitutional governance or will descend into the abyss of Soviet-Style communism and the tyranny of Nazism.  That threat is not being posed by Trump or the Republicans but by the Leftists now in control of the Democratic Party.

The Leftists have successfully pitted Americans against Americans and even family members and neighbors against each other.  If you protest the mandates of the Leftists, you are deemed so deplorable you are unworthy of any tolerance and must be silenced.  The paranoia and tyrannical actions witnessed in various states and cities is a precursor to our total loss of liberty and freedom.  I often wonder how far martial law is from being enacted and enforced. 

Over the past two or three decades, the Democratic Party has offered nothing more than lip service to loving America.  I’m sorry, but I no longer believe the rulers in the ruling class of Leftists love America.  I believe they love Power and the only acceptable America to them is the one in which they make the rules and rule.  They have co-opted the media, or the media has co-opted them, whichever is accurate reveals the depth of the problem.  The assault on our religious liberties, the censorship of free speech, and the demand that we passively and sheepishly comply reveals their view of the public.  We are tools for them to achieve their purposes, not fellow citizens who are the true owners of government.

The founding fathers used incredible wisdom in creating the electoral college system and the Democratic Party has declared war on that protection for all States and citizens.  The Democratic Party has launched a stealth movement called “National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.”  That movement would force, by rule of law, the state electors to reject their own states’ popular vote in favor of the national popular vote and become ‘faithless electors’. 

The Democratic Party touts the idea that they are the party of equality and unity and yet have deviously sought to impede the equality of many and destroy the unity of this republic.  They fear the 2^nd Amendment knowing that allowing citizens to remain armed poses an impediment to their agenda of control.  The founders understood the need to be armed for self-protection, hunting, and even against a rogue government.  That right must not be relinquished but if we allow the Unqualified Leftists to remain in Power, we will have to fight to the death to keep that right.

The Democratic Party insists that Trump and Republicans are bullies but use bully tactics to silence citizens, shame us into the shadows, and project their flaws upon us.  They forced Obamacare upon an American citizenry that did not want it and laughed at us for our protests.  Now, they want to resurrect it and put it on steroids. 

The Democratic Party has, through their actions and policies, declared war on godliness and faith.  If you remember, they are the party that booed God during the 2012 Democratic Convention.  That transpired when the question was posed of placing God on their platform.  They wanted no part of God or religion.  They have now deemed churches ‘non-essential’ during this pandemic pandemonium lockdown but abortion clinics essential and other entities needed.  God is unnecessary to them and in direct contradiction to the guarantees of the Constitution shut churches down.  Some have expressed a desire and intent to make it permanent.

The House and the Senate, as well as the President all, take the oath of office that commits them to support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.  They promise to defend it against all enemies both foreign and domestic.  But the Leftists have transitioned from that oath into waging war against legal American citizens and defending those who are here illegally.

Their desire is clear that demoralizing our people will give them a window of opportunity to gain total control.  Therefore, I insist that it is the duty and responsibility Constitutionally, morally, ethically, and biblically to resist and take power from them. 

How do we do that?  Short of a shooting revolution, we do that through intercessory prayer, total commitment to freedom and the constitution, and go to the polls in droves and un-elect them.  We DEFEAT THEM!  We must not only do this in this election but every election that follows UNTIL they return to a mindset that embraces our Republic and our Constitution.  I do not see that happening so I believe that it must be a permanent banishment from power for them.

You may find my views impossible for you to embrace.  I hope you will honestly consider what has been transpiring and listen to their policies and proposals not just their rhetoric.  If you do you will likely find that my views are not far-fetched but worthy of consideration.

Regardless of what you have been told and have chosen to believe, slavery did not originate in the United States of America or Colonial America.  It has been around virtually since the beginning of man’s existence on the planet and it is not likely to go away anytime soon.  The United States outlawed slavery but that did not end slavery in the world.  Our Founding Fathers nor Christopher Columbus originated slavery and slavery has not been the exclusive sin of whites. 

The misinformation, intentional distortion regarding the matter by the followers of the progressive movement, and the splinter groups are destructive and dishonest.  In today’s world we are consumed with the issue of race, tribalism, and hate for our founding.  I believe that the real intent is not truth but power.  The rhetoric, spin, and brainwashing that has been transpiring for generations have at its core the desire to ‘divide and conquer.’  The presentation of a Utopia as achievable in society is poisonous and makes coexistence with differing ideologies impossible or incredibly difficult.

I agree with an assertion I heard some time ago, “Racism is not our Achilles Heel.  It is the ubiquitous manipulation and exploitation of race and racism that threatens our way of life.  Political operatives masquerading as journalists feed the hate 24/7.”  I believe columnist Robert Wedge said that in early August.  I believe he is correct. 

I have contended that the book and miniseries “Roots” was far more detrimental to understanding and finding peace and harmony that it was beneficial.  Alex Haley said, when confronted about his lack of historical accuracy, “I tried to give my people a myth to live by.”  What?  The intent was not truth but the presentation of a myth that would inflame and cause anger and hate.  It was rekindling the flames of hurt that we had been working to put out and heal.  That is not beneficial it is destructive.

Dr. Thomas Sowell offered a counter view in his book “Black Rednecks and White Liberals.”  Dr. Sowell, unlike Haley, sought to provide historical accuracy and face truth honestly not seek to slant his presentation toward a particular ideological view or desire.  Dr. Sowell and history, honestly viewed, reveals that slavery has been a part of every culture on every inhabited continent throughout history.  Africans conquered other Africans, enslaved them, and sold them for profit.  Slavery existed in Western indigenous peoples for centuries before Columbus arrived.  Slavery was considered a fact of life until the 17^th century when Christians attacked it as being immoral. 

We know from documented history that at the peak of the Atlantic slave trade, Africans retained more slaves for themselves than they sold to the West.  Yet, if you listen to the rhetoric of today and the presentation of the liberal leftists you would assume that our Founding fathers originated the practice of slavery.  Please understand, I detest the idea of enslaving anyone!  However, if we ignore historical reality, we only present a “myth” that people can become inflamed over and the anger will produce physical violence and intolerance.

The Founding Fathers were born into a world where slavery existed, they did not create it.  They were born into a world where large agricultural estates included slaves as property.  We know from their writings that Washington, Jefferson, and Madison all detested slavery as an institution.  Washington freed his slaves upon the death of his wife.  His will stipulated that those who were infirm or disabled were to be cared for by his estate.  That is not the view of Washington being presented by the history revisionist and those seeking to divide and conquer.

The Founding fathers sought to abolish slavery long before the Civil War but faced mountains of issues that prevented them from achieving that objective.  One of the many issues was the problem of an uneducated population that would not likely become assimilated into society.  That gave rise to the concern of a race riot like the 1791 Santo Domingo Rebellion. 

Jefferson is targeted unfairly, and history reveals that he was relentless in his search for a vehicle to end slavery short of war.  His first draft of the Declaration of Independence included mocking King George III for enslaving Africans and disallowing emancipation.  That language was removed to enable a union of all 13 colonies to enable America to pursue Independence.  In 1778 Jefferson introduced a bill in the Virginia House to stop further importation of salves.  It was approved.  Were you taught that in school?

Both the United States and Great Britain diligently sought to eliminate the slave trade.  For several decades England made the interdiction of slave ships a naval priority.  They even entered Brazilian waters in 1849 to destroy Brazilian slave ships that ignored their cease and desist orders.  Being the Captain of a slave ship was a capital offense in America.  Finally, the Civil War and one of the results was the emancipation of slaves in the United States of America.

I was intrigued by the revelations that came from reading the works of Frederick Douglass.  He had been convinced by abolitionists that our Founding was corrupted by slavery.  He sought to discover the truth for himself and after reading our founding documents he changed his view of America and her founding.  He no longer believed as he was told by the abolitionists that the Constitution was a pro-slavery document.  He said, “it is a slander upon the memory of the Farmers to so charge.  The Constitution interpreted as it should be is a glorious document of liberty and will be found to contain principles and purposes entirely hostile to the existence of slavery.”  Were you taught that in school?

I read that Bob Woodson, civil rights activist in the ’60s and head of the Woodson Center/ 1776 Project said that the term, “institutional racism or systemic racism” has no meaning.  He said, “It is a ruse! It is a distraction from the real issue; white liberals and black leaders have betrayed the people they represent over the past 60 years.”  The media will never tell you that and claim it is a distortion.  However, facts are facts and very stubborn things.

Is America a racist nation?  Before you issue the standard answer and charge let me ask, “If we are then why are Americans from India and East Asia the most successful demographics?”  We are all created by God and that makes us members of the same family and same race.  You can split hairs if you choose, but if we are going to resolve the issue and find any semblance of peace and tolerance that is a view we must embrace. 

Consider men such as Booker T. Washington, Frederick Douglas, Thomas Sowell, and Walter Williams, and a myriad of others and then tell me that blacks cannot succeed.  What has happened to the detriment of the black community is that the federal government has, under the Democrats, waged war on the two-parent family.  The Great Society of LBJ was incredibly racist in its objective and actions. 

If we continue pursuing the Marxist agenda and allow the power-hungry to have total control, we will NEVER find peace and will never overcome the stigma of slavery.  Slavery is reprehensible but was not the cause of America’s societal struggles, it was a product of the condition of the world.  We have moved forward but men like Farrakhan, Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Barack Obama have impeded our progress.  Wake up America!  Wake up Black America and Wake up White America, we can overcome!  We can unite as people under God and as a nation!

These are some of the reasons I continue to reject the agenda and rhetoric of the Democrats and why I cannot fathom the animus of the Never Trump consortium.  America’s continued freedom is the goal for which we all should strive. I keep praying for the Love of God to flood the hearts of people and put out the fires of hate that are burning in the hearts today.
