IS AMERICA FOR SALE?

It might be better asked, “Is America for sale politically?”  Of course, in this presidential election, I could easily be referring to Michael Bloomberg’s clear attempt to ‘buy’ the presidency or control of the Democratic Party.  I could, but my focus extends far beyond his overt attempt to change the outcome of the election by throwing money around like it was raining hundred-dollar bills.  I could be talking about Bernie Sanders endless list of ‘freebies.’ But this is more than a few politicians, this is extensive.

Are we willing to ‘sell’ our Republic for personal benefit, financially?  I am not speaking directly to the examples where people have sold their votes for a few dollars.  Rather, I am focusing on the incredible personal greed that has become more than a little evident in our society.  It may be more than evident and be prevalent, and it is a definite issue that each of us who desire electoral integrity should be concerned.

I have talked to and listened to people with massive ‘student loan debt’ who are avidly in favor of the government eliminating their debt.  I do not disagree that student loans are exorbitant and highly usurious.  I do not disagree that the cost of secondary education is out of control and has escalated far beyond reason.  Those are entirely separate issues, in my mind.

I keep asking people who adopt the view that is being advanced by the Democrats that the government should provide ‘free universal healthcare’ and ‘wipe out all student loan debt’ and more “who ultimately pays for that?”  I have had some who argue they are conservative and constitutionalist as well as the liberals who ignore that question.  Some seem to believe that there is more than enough money to pay off the debt or we can just print enough to do the deed.

Who pays?  What would that approach do to the value of our American dollar?  What would that do to our economy?  How would that affect inflation or hyper-inflation?  What would that do to our national security?  There are many questions that cannot be simply ignored.  One of the greatest problems of today, as I see it, is that too many people do not think things through to their logical conclusion.  The personal greed with the ‘What’s in it for me?’ attitude has the potential of destroying our Republic.

The Entitlements now provided by our government are tools the politicians use to ‘buy votes.’  Who wants to bite the hand that feeds them?  Who wants to touch the golden goose?  Who wants to look their gift horse in the mouth?  When it becomes more lucrative to stay at home and draw benefit checks than to work for a living are, we driving productivity or inactivity?

I would love to argue that America and Americans are not for sale, but the proof is in the pudding by the millions who vote a particular way to ensure their monthly benefit checks keep rolling in.  I have had people argue that they would be crazy to work when they make more net income from government entitlements than working on a job.

Have we reached the place that Political Parties and Politicians have become imprisoned politically by the adept ability of them to use our tax dollars to buy votes?  Entitlement programs are massive, and the costs are enormous.  They touch virtually every sector of American society.  They are anything but ‘self-funding’ and the operating costs of those programs have grown exponentially over the past two or three decades.

I did a little research into the projected costs to make the entitlement programs solvent over the new few decades.  The most conservative estimate was $40 Trillion.  We know from government reporting agencies that the cost of mandatory spending in 2012 represented 65% of our total outlays and that by 2022 it will represent 75%.  That is not sustainable.  No politician wants to touch that golden egg because with the right advertising, marketing, and articulation it translates into votes.

Is human greed and envy the answer as to why people become enamored with politicians who insist that, if elected, they will raise the minimum wage to $15-22 per hour?  Is it the answer as to why universal healthcare, free college tuition and the elimination of student loan debt is so appealing to many?

Politicians, largely Democrats, are somehow able to sell the idea of tax increases as a punishment for the rich and making them pay.  Is class envy so powerful that people will sell their votes for the prospect of wealth redistribution, sticking it to those who have achieved success and wealth?  Are we for sale?

Foreign nations are buying our real estate, corporations, and media outlets.  They are not oblivious to what is happening in America and some are incredibly astute at manipulation and marketing.  If you control the money, you control the government and if you use the government’s money to your advantage you can buy any election.

Few would argue that politicians are not political prostitutes who sell their votes for favor, finances, power, position, and prestige.  If politicians do not have the integrity to put up a ‘not for sale’ sign at their office door how can we expect those filled with greed, envy, and desiring a ‘free ride’ to resist the temptation to ‘sell out?’

I believe that America has been for sale for a long time and I do not see that changing in the immediate future.  George Washington’s letter to Major General Robert Howe in 1779 contains a powerful observation.  Washington said, regarding the double-agent Elijah Hunter, “Few men have virtue to withstand the highest bidder.”  He reminded General Howe that the British, “have it more in their power to reward certain services than we have in the way which is most tempting.”

In American politics and life money, benefits, and entitlements often speak louder than integrity.  The prospect of ‘something for nothing’ or something with little to no effort is more powerful than ingenuity, drive, and the inner satisfaction derived from personal achievement.  I’ve seen it in church, business, and politics and observed that those flocking to the ‘freebies’ do so until there is a better offer of ‘free stuff’ elsewhere.  If we sell our political and national souls, what is the true cost?

Yes, I am ranting!  You may not share my concerns, but I am very concerned that we (collectively) have sold our Republic, Freedom, and Liberty for a few pieces of silver.  Can we fix that?  Yes, we can and no we cannot.  We can only by finding politicians who are not for sale and electing them.  We cannot if we continue to return to office those who engage in buying America through government handouts.

God bless you and God bless America!

THE BEST and THE BRIGHTEST…

That is the catchphrase that many on both sides of the political aisle, in business, and other dimensions of life use, claiming that is what they offer.  If America’s ‘Best and Brightest’ is reflected in the offerings of the Democrats for President in 2020, then America is in deep trouble.

I realize that I just lit the fuse of Facebook, all Social Media, The Main-Stream News Outlets, and the followers of the rabid toxic liberal ideology being presented today.  Ronald Reagan understood that most of the time, if not all the time, the ‘Best and Brightest’ are not in politics.  Reagan said, “The best minds are not in government.  If any were, business would steal them away.”

When I consider the offerings of the Democratic Party in this election cycle, I scratch my head and ask, “Is that the best you’ve got?”  If that offends you, I’m sorry you are offended, but I believe it is a legitimate question.  You probably say, “Well, what the Republicans are offering is far from the ‘Best and Brightest’.”  I would not argue with you that, in most cases, the pool we are left to choose from politically is far from the ‘cream of the crop.’

Some politicians seem to be dumber than a box of rocks and their continual gaffes have transitioned from humorous to deeply troubling.  I am truly concerned about the mental health of the new Democratic front-runner, Joe Biden.  In many years I have been aware of him in politics, ‘smart’ is not a term I would have ascribed when speaking of him.  He proclaimed on Monday before Super Tuesday that the next day we would be voting in ‘Super Thursday.’ He corrected himself, but the gaffe cannot be overlooked. It is not the only one he has offered. Was that a minor slip of the tongue or a warning of something deeper and more troubling?

Biden attempted to quote the Declaration of Independence and botched it badly and then referred to our Creator as “The Thing.”  What?  He committed a cardinal sin of the Left in referring to inalienable rights because they do not believe in any rights other than what they deem appropriate.  Referring to the Declaration of Independence and referring to inalienable rights and our creator is anathema to their philosophy, so Joe was treading on forbidden ground.

Honestly, I am less concerned about him infuriating the Democratic Establishment than I am about his inability to know where he is, what he is addressing, and successfully cite references important to the office of President.  Is it just, Joe being Joe or is it evidence of something more serious?

In a Super Tuesday speech in Los Angeles, California he appeared to confuse his sister Valerie for his wife Jill.  He grabbed his wife’s hand and introduced her as his sister.  Unless he is engaged in an incestuous relationship and she is his sister, which is deeply troubling.  He blamed it on them switching places.  Okay, maybe, but if you cannot tell by looking, which is which, what is going on?

How can we trust him to deal with foreign leaders and members of Congress?  He might mistake the North Korean Dictator with one of our allies and make a tragic mistake.  How about if they put a piece of legislation before him that was deadly for our America and he mistook it for something good and signed it?  That would be disastrous.  Yes, I’m being overly dramatic and facetious, but the concern is there or should be.

With Bernie Sanders, we have a very angry old man who hates almost everything about America and our system of government and economics.  His economic plan for ‘free everything’ is so beyond reason it causes me to wonder about his mental acuity.  His plan, a plan that even liberal economists say, will end in disaster is to be paid for by massive taxes and he has suggested through lawsuits against the fossil fuel industry and executives.  Seriously?  That is your plan?

Bernie’s website claims that his plan would save $70.4 trillion over 80 years.  That’s right, “80 Years!”  There would be nothing left by that time, but then, neither he nor most of us would be around to witness the ultimate end of his plans.  Wait, I believe that many of us would see the demise of America if he were to become president because it would probably take only about four-years to bring about the apocalypse of economic destruction.

The anger that Bernie projects and conveys are producing some incredibly rabid and violent followers.  His praise for Castro and other Communist of the past is more than a little troubling.  His attempts to ignore the disasters in places like Venezuela while claiming that Denmark is a prime example of Socialism succeeding is troubling.  Even Denmark’s leaders took exception to that insisting they were not Socialist but Market Driven Economies.  Bernie does not seem to know the difference and that causes me to question, “Is he the best you’ve got?”

Elizabeth Warren cannot keep things straight and I don’t know if it is a mental or moral issue with here, but, “Is she the best you’ve got?”

Before someone blasts me and says, “Well, Trump certainly isn’t the ‘best or brightest,’” could I tell you what I see and am praying for?  I do believe that Donald J. Trump has been good for America.  I do not believe that the divide in our nation is healthy or good, but I reject the notion that it is his fault that we are divided.  We were severely divided before he was nominated and became president.  We regressed under Barack H. Obama in areas of race, economics, and international relations.

I would never suggest that Donald Trump is the brightest man on the planet. That was and is how many on the Left attempt to present Barack Obama.  I do believe that Donald Trump loves America and truly wants America to prosper and be restored to her deserved place of prominence in the community of nations.  I believe that, despite receiving little help from his own party and the 24/7/365 resistance by the Democrats in Congress, he has achieved much good for this nation.  We are not where I would like to see us, or even where he would like to see us, but we have moved in the right direction.

I would like to see the ‘best and brightest’ run for office.  I do not just want the brightest but those who are also the best in every area.  I want to see a return to Republicanism and Constitutional governance of this Republic.  I want to see limited government with reduced taxes, and a dramatic reduction in the overreach of government in restrictions and control.

I believe that to reach that place we the people must do some deep introspection and decide that we are going to demand that our elected officials follow the rule of law, the constitution, and do what we elected them to do.  We must reject all who are power-seekers and more interested in their position, power, prominence, and purse than America.

I am tired of politicians who have never held a job other than ‘Elected Official.’ I desire to see a return to ‘Citizen Representation’ in Washington and the State Houses.  I want a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.  I want to see a return to a position and view that “All men are created equal and endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights including Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.”  I want America to return to being America and not some Sanctuary for those who hate us and want our wealth, not our best good.

God bless you and I pray you will vote for America in November and if you do, you will, in my view, reject the lunacy being offered by those followers of toxic liberalism.

God bless America!

FEAR and COMMON SENSE…

In today’s world with the politicizing of everything fear is a prominent part of the process.  Sadly, common sense or rational reason are often absent and incredibly uncommon.  I write from the perspective of my faith in God as well as my love for America and confidence in our resoluteness and ability to persevere.  You may or may not agree with my perspective, but I offer it hoping to encourage some and challenge others.

We have the option of living our lives ‘controlled’ by those who have the rule and those who control the airwaves of information or misinformation or we can think for ourselves.  It is my view that, after a few decades of educational transformation, many have lost the ability to deductively reason or engage in critical thinking.  In short, we have made common sense uncommon.  My father would have called it “horse sense” and my view is a horse has more sense than some of the things some are suggesting today.

The Democratic Party is employing the reasoning of former Obama staffer, Rahm Emanuel, “You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”  That view was the outgrowth of political ideology and philosophy that is rooted in Alinsky’s teachings.  It is a view that feeds on paranoia and fear.  It is a view that seeks to cause people, out of fear, to abandon reason.

The Coronavirus paranoia is another of the myriad of fears the Left has been using to attempt to ‘Stop Trump.’  I am not saying it is not serious and reasoned caution needs to be employed. I am saying, it has become a tool or a political weapon the left is using to advance their agenda. The Left-Wing Media has seized upon this virus and weaponized it politically to attack Trump.  Some of them, if not most of them, have been openly hoping that the virus will become a pandemic and create such havoc on our economy and society that people will abandon Trump and choose the Democrat’s pathetic offering as a leader.

The openness by the Left of hoping for a recession if not an economic depression is appalling to this American.  Who, with a smidgen of moral fiber, want their fellow citizens to suffer to achieve a political goal?  Who?  Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler, Maxine Waters, et al.

The Democrats refused to adopt the President’s suggestion of a waiving of the payroll tax for the rest of the year. Why? That would be a way to lessen the potential recession and that is not their desire. The media pundits and talking heads have been shouting from their soapboxes that the Market is plunging because of Trump’s ineptitude in responding to and handling the virus.  They know that is a fabrication but with the absence of ‘common sense’ and the presence of ‘paranoia and fear,’ they are succeeding in tilting the minds of the non-thinking and fearful to their view.  It must be true, after all, it was on the Internet and the News, right?

The claim by the Democrats that they are the Party of Compassion is infuriating.  The talking heads are declaring, “This virus might be an opening for the Democrats.”  I am appalled when anyone applauds the suffering of others.  I wish no ill on any human being.  I may detest everything they do and what they are, but I am completely comfortable leaving them to God’s judgment in eternity rather than hoping for and enjoying their suffering.

I have a biblical basis for that beyond, “love thy neighbor.”  My basis is found in Proverbs 24:17-20 – “Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, and do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; 18 Or the LORD will see it and be displeased, and turn His anger away from him.  19 Do not fret because of evildoers or be envious of the wicked; 20 For there will be no future for the evil man; the lamp of the wicked will be put out.”

The Stock Market’s drop or plunge was in part due to ‘oil’ not just fears over the coronavirus or COVID-19.  Saudi Arabia was once the kingpin of the world’s oil production but that has shifted.  America is no longer dependent on the oil production of OPEC.  Now that Saudi Arabia has declared war with Russia over the price of oil, the Markets are in a panic and plunging like a rock as people scramble to cover their losses and bases in the short-term.

We are no longer energy dependent on OPEC and Saudi Arabia for our oil and gas, but we are not unaffected by what happens in that arena.  We can take care of our own needs thanks to many of the moves of President Trump and allowing our technology and industry to flourish and produce.

However, since Russia is a totalitarian state, it does not produce oil like America or for the same reasons.  They produce so that the government has money, not so that individuals or corporations prosper.  Therefore, they seek to ‘control’ the price to enable them to make more on less production.  They care not about their citizens, only about their control.  Saudi Arabia’s oil is owned by the royals and they want more and more and more and realize the more they produce the more they make.  Whoever controls the price of oil wins in the world’s economy.

But it is more than oil and gas or the Coronavirus that is ripping to shreds the fabric of our Republic.  It is the pandering of Paranoia and Fear!  It is the absence of Common Sense, Rational Reason, Logical and Critical Thinking, and Deductive Reasoning.  That seems to be a lost commodity or trait in far too many today.  No, I do not think I am smarter than anyone else, but I THINK!  I may think wrongly at times, but I THINK!

I am cautiously optimistic that the Fear-mongering and Paranoia spreading weaponization of the Coronavirus will bite the Democrats in the gluteus maximus in November.  I could be wrong, and the economy could tank and when you touch people’s money you affect their attitude.

The Democrats are hoping for an epidemic outbreak in America with a million deaths, as one former Obama staffer has suggested. That is troubling on so many fronts, it causes me to weep.  Pelosi and Schumer claim falsely that, “President Trump continues to manufacture needless chaos within his administration, and it is hampering the government’s response to the coronavirus outbreak.”  They offer no facts, no evidence, and no proof, but then they don’t have to because the Media takes it and runs with it and the non-thinking simply receive it as empirical truth.

They have claimed that Trump cut funding for the CDC and thus hampered the ability to respond to the virus.  However, if you go to the CDC’s website you discover that the doctors overseeing the pandemic preparations are of such character and reputation that they would never allow chaos to prevail.

It is highly likely that by the time November arrives and we vote, the truth about the virus will reveal that it was less severe than reported by the Leftists and we have taken dramatic steps to corral and control it.  I find myself feeling that the paranoia and fear-mongering of the Democrats and Media is far beyond truth and reality. I also find myself thinking that we are not being told everything and probably for good reason and that it is not simply a passing situation. I believe there is cause for concern, especially if you are older and have underlying health issues. However, I believe that rational reason, caution, and precautions will enable us to get through this.

On the political front, there are 31 Democratic representatives occupying seats in districts that Trump won in 2016 and they could be in jeopardy.  We know that of the 18 districts that the Republicans need to flip to regain control of the House, the President won 16 of them by 5-points or more. We need to stay focused and win the White House, take back the House of Representatives and provide a filibuster proof Senate for President Trump to work with in the next four years.

The U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams said recently, “We now know more about who is at risk. Average age of death for people from coronavirus is 80. Average age of people who need medical attention is age 60. We want people who are older, people who have medical conditions, to take steps to protect themselves, including avoiding crowded spaces, including thinking very carefully about whether now is the time to get on that cruise ship, whether now is the time to take that long haul flight. For most people, you’re going to be fine.”

I am not suggesting that there is no concern but rather than allowing fear to reign in our hearts and minds let’s embrace, incorporate, and exercise ‘Common Sense.’  I am praying for America and praying for everyone to VOTE for America in November and stop this lunacy!

God bless you and God bless America!

THE DONALD TRUMP ENIGMA…

There are those on the Left and on the Right whose blood curdles, and they become rankled at the mere mention of the name Donald Trump.  That condition is often described as “TDS” or Trump Derangement Syndrome.  That moniker also causes the heads of those who hate him to explode and they frequently become verbally if not physically violent and abusive.  This is not an attempt to attack them, only an attempt to discuss the phenomenon or enigma of Donald John Trump in American politics.

Some have ascribed to him Superman status and even a few that have elevated him to Sainthood.  That is beyond what I consider reasonable, so I do not go that far.  I have been called a cultist for supporting him, a bot, a deplorable, a racist, a bigot, and other less than flattering names.  Those have come from the Left and some on the Right who truly hate him with blind hatred that boils over in a desire to punch somebody in the face or lop off their heads when is name is breathed publicly.

The more I have watched the scene play out over the past three years the more I believe God raised him up for such a time as this.  No, I do not ascribe righteousness or saintliness to him, but he is, in my view, being used as an instrument in the hands of God to save America from the toxic liberal destruction desired by the Left.

Some find it offensive that I would attribute any part of Trump’s political ascendancy to God.  However, I know of no other human being in any political party that could have endured what he has endured and kept on working to achieve his promised objectives.  That is not only impressive, but it is also appreciated.  I, like many if not most Americans, love America and want to see the Free Constitutional Republic our Founders established flourish.

I do not attempt to overlook any flaws in his character, actions, past or present.  I only look at the results.  Some call him a hero and ascribe to him the status of mythical heroes.  I do think some of what he has endured has been heroic and his consistent and determined effort to keep as many of his campaign promises as possible laudable.  He has been elevated to hero status by the actions of the Democrats, the Media, and Hollywood.  That was not their intent but that has been the result for much of America.

President Trump has endured the hardship of incessant attacks, the expressed desire for this destruction beyond that any president in our history has faced.  He has not been literally assassinated as have some, but the attempted annihilation of him and his family has been endless and continues.

The Left labels him a narcissistic lunatic who poses a grave threat to the survival of our way of life.  A narcissist, he may well be.  But what politician is not, to some degree self-centered?  However, in stark contrast to the label, he has demonstrated another quality they Left refuses to acknowledge.  He is a lover and defender of America and heroic Americans.

In the past State of the Union Address, he shifted the focus from himself to our true heroes.  He brought to the hearts and minds of all the world, the mother and son who suffered the loss of husband and father as he paid the ultimate price for America.  He brought before us those who sacrificed their own lives for others.  He reminded us of the American fabric in the man who refused to let his brother’s murder go in vain because the officials of California care so little about the lives of its citizens.

He reminded us of the heroics of our law enforcement, border patrol, ICE agents, and the fight for the life of a baby, a drug-addict fighting to reclaim a stolen life, and our military.  He brought before us the reminder of men like those of the Tuskegee Airmen and reminded us of our great country and its worth.

Two of Trump’s messages to America were asking us to never forget this beloved nation’s greatness and our incredible destiny.  When I was a young man and beyond that would not have attracted much attention it would have been expected. However, in today’s politically correct climate and the pursuit of the fundamental transformation of this Republic through the toxic agenda of the Leftist his words were a shot of adrenaline for the lovers of freedom and a call to awake and into the battle.  Someone said that his most Herculean feat was to remind all Americans and the world by shining the Light of Freedom and Hope on who we are as Americans.  Yes, we have made mistakes and will make more, but America and our American heritage are one of destiny and greatness.

For those who think me and any who support this president members of a cult, I say, “You must not be paying attention.”  I wept when I heard the words of Republican presidential candidate the former one-term Congressman, Joe Walsh.  He said that he would vote for a Socialist over Trump.  That is disgusting for this veteran and lover of freedom.  He argued that Trump makes every day about himself.  I wonder what State of the Union Address he watched.  It could not have been Trump’s but must have been Obama’s.

George W. Bush just took it on the chin day after day and never responded.  That is how Republicans have been trained and conditioned to respond to the Democrat attacks.  That is how the Democrats expect and demand that Republicans respond.  To fight back is deemed to be ‘unpresidential’ and makes a Republican unfit for office.  That is not Trump’s style and not in his DNA.  He is a street-fighter and when pushed pushes back.  You may not like his style, but it has benefitted America on many fronts worldwide.  Our enemies fear us again and our friends, though not what you hear, are demonstrating respect and stepping up to the plate to carry a larger share of the load.

I am all for taking the ‘high road’ whenever you can, but when it comes to war and the fight for freedom sometimes it is not possible.  If you keep getting hammered and defeated by taking the ‘high road’ then it might be time to get in the trenches and fight fire with fire.  The Democrats and the haters of this President call him a dictator or a would-be king.  They want someone to do what they way and ‘just take it.’  The Left never ‘just takes it’ but the Right is supposed to do just that.  Trump is not doing what they want he is doing what we want and fighting for America.

Cultist see no fault in their leaders, and most of us see Trump for who he is and realize that he has kinks in his armor and warts, like the rest of us, but he is fighting for us and winning on many fronts.  There is a time to turn the other cheek politically and times when you must fight for the right.

The Democrats and Media are experts as faux outrage.  Someone said, “If everything is an outrage, then nothing is an outrage.”  The Left wants no part of unity they want total dominance and control.  With Trump what you see is what you get, and we voted for him eyes wide open and will vote for him again the same way.  We know the destruction of the alternative and we want our America back.

The enigma of Donald Trump is that he is demonstrating that even a man with personal flaws can do heroic work for his country.  He does not regard us as peons, serfs, and deplorable bitter clingers.  He views us as Americans who deserve better than what we have been getting.  The Left and Trump haters cannot comprehend that and how deeply it resonates with the average American.

God bless you and God bless America!

THE WINTER OF OUR DISCONTENT…

The fictional novel by John Steinbeck published in 1961, “The Winter of our Discontent” is apropos when considering the incredible display of hypocrisy and projectionism in American politics.  His title was taken from the first two lines of William Shakespeare’s ‘Richard III’.  Not to get too involved in the story but to use it as a catalyst to address the disgusting political climate in America I address a small sampling of Steinbeck’s novel.

The idea is drawn from the question of what crimes man would commit if he knew he would not get caught?  I have asked that of people in religious and secular settings in the past, that question.  I asked, “Would you cheat, steal, or betray people to get ahead if you knew you could get away with it?”  I was often shocked at the response especially among people who regularly attended church.  I’ve had people tell me that their religious life and business lives are separate, and one has no impact on the other.  That is terribly wrong.  We have A Life, not a Bunch of Lives! I asked one man, “When did you become a cat?”

The idea that everybody is doing it is never a justification for wrong.  In today’s politics, it seems that many politicians manage to justify their actions with the mindset of ‘the end justifies the means’ or ‘it is for the greater good.’  Neither is correct when it comes to wrong and unethical practices.  Right is right and wrong is never right.

I believe we are in the clutches of serious discontent and experiencing a disastrous disconnect with honesty, ethics, and morality politically.  I am sick of the hypocrisy and projectionism in American politics and believe that if we look the other way we will witness and facilitate the destruction of our Republic.  You may disagree, but that’s what I see, and it has become glaringly apparent over the past three years.  It seems that every year it grows worse and I fear that we may have traveled too far down that path that the public accepts it as normal and we can never recover.

The classical definition of hypocrisy is: “the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one’s own behavior does not conform; pretense.”  The usual definition of Projectionism is: “the projecting onto others what you are doing, rather than admitting or dealing with them in yourself.”  That is also the trait of a sociopath for they will always accuse another of what they are guilty of themselves.

Who does that sound like in today’s politics?  Isn’t that exactly what the Democrats have been doing to President Trump and have done to Republicans for a very long time?  It seems that even a hint of potential wrongdoing by a Republican is justification for a no-holds-barred investigation and search for corroborative proof to condemn and convict.  However, if that same hint of corruption or blatant corruption by a Democrat is exposed the insistence that there must be a noble explanation demands it not be scrutinized.  That is hypocritical and a glaring example of projectionism and sociopathic behavior.

The idea presented by the Leftists and the Media is that the Democrats are noble, righteous, saintly, loving, and caring and the Republicans, especially Trump are the incarnation of Lucifer himself.  We endured a multi-year barrage of innuendo and allegations that Trump and the Republicans had colluded with Putin and Russia to steal the election in 2016.  The reality that those allegations were based on debunked opposition research bought and paid for by the DNC and the Clinton Campaign, was of no concern to the Left.

We endured hearsay witnesses who for one reason or another had an ax to grind with the President or were devotedly embedded in the Liberal Agenda of the Democratic Party.  We recently endured the Impeachment Trial over the allegations that Trump engaged in Quid Pro Quo with Ukraine to dig up something that would stop Joe Biden in the 2020 election.  The hypocrisy and projectionism engaged in by the Left is nothing short of jaw-dropping.   However, Old Joe is destroying himself with no help from Trump or anyone else.  His ineptitude and corruption manage to keep bubbling to the surface.

Constitutionally, it is within the scope of the President’s authority and power to withhold funds from a foreign government to force that government to take action that is beneficial to the United States.  The Democrats liked that idea in 2015 when Biden demanded a quid pro quo from the Ukrainian government to fire a prosecutor who was investigating his son.  Biden openly admitted that he was going to withhold funds in the tune of $1 Billion if they did not fire the prosecutor.  He said, “I looked at them and said: I’m leaving in six hours.  If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.”  That was okay because it was in the interest of Joe and his family.  But when Trump delays funds it is an impeachable offense.  Seriously?

We have a Treaty with Ukraine that authorizes and even demands that the President seek their help in uncovering corruption. That is what the president suggested to them and asked that they work with our Attorney General.  The funds were delayed, and the Ukrainian president was unaware that the funds were being held up.  Obama not only delayed but refused funds in Ukraine’s fight with Russia, but that was okay.  However, Trump’s delay and later funding are impeachable.  That is the height of hypocrisy and projectionism.  They claim he is corrupt when they are the ones engaging in corruption.

Then the Senate trial followed the incredibly partisan vote and process in the House. The Democrat Impeachment managers claimed their case was iron-clad and undeniable.  When it became clear that their case was weak, at best, and fallacious at worst, they demanded more witnesses.

Isn’t that a bit odd, if you have an iron-clad case what is the need for additional witnesses?  I am quite sure they would have howled to the heavens, had the Republicans agreed and demanded the Biden, his son, Schiff, and numerous others involved in the corruption on the Left be called.  The Democrats would have insisted that was unjustified, but on the other hand all of their witnesses were necessary.  They accused the Republicans of being partisan while the House Investigation locked Republicans out of the room and denied most of their requests for witnesses.  They denied the President the constitutionally provided right to face his accusers and receive exculpatory evidence.  How’s that for hypocrisy?

I am fed up with the mess and where the hate, continual projectionism, sociopathic behavior, and hypocrisy is plunging us into a state where violence is the only possible outcome.  The Left is denying the economy, painting false pictures of the conditions in America and insisting that our only hope of survival is TOTAL GOVERNMENT CONTROL be placed in their hands.  They are virtually blaming President Trump for the Coronavirus and what they can’t blame him for they accuse him of facilitating. If you believe all their allegations, you might want to shop for some oceanfront property in the middle of Arizona or by a Unicorn Ranch with a few flying pigs.  I’m sure you will find Alice, the Scarecrow, and the Tin Man walking through the pasture as well.

America, we either use our heads for something other than a body part to hold hair or hats and think or we will enable the planned destruction of our Republic.  I cannot and will not do willingly and complacently watch America destroyed!

God bless you and God bless America!

BERNIE’S WAR…

I, like many others, am concerned with the rhetoric, vitriol, anger, and violent language and actions involved in today’s politics.  Many or most in the media and other sources attempt to lay the blame for this at the feet of Donald J. Trump.  However, this type of behavior could be observed and was practiced before Trump announced his candidacy or won the election.  The seeds of destruction appeared to bear fruit during the Obama years and have expanded exponentially over the past three years.

Before anyone insists that it’s Trump’s fault because of his language, tweets, and open attacks on opponents, I suggest everyone consider where the bulk of the violence is coming from.  Is it from Trump supporters?  If anyone insists that it is, I ask that they cite specific incidents.  Please do not take that as an invitation to offer the drivel and fallacious allegations the media offers with no factual proof or examples.  Rather, consider the facts, the events, and note the candidate or Party those engaging in acts of violence support or align themselves.  If you do that, we can have a discussion, if you do not, we will not.

Some time back, I read and listened to the Minnesota attorney general, Keith Ellison insisted that Bernie Sanders backers were simply, passionate and gentle souls like himself.  He said, “I have never seen @BernieSanders supporters being unusually mean or rude.  Can someone send me an example of a ‘Bernie Bro’ being bad?  Also, are we holding all candidates responsible for the behavior of some of their supporters?”  I found it astounding that he would have that kind of audacity and engage in that kind of blind hypocrisy, but he did, and the media does the same.

Mr. Ellison, you and others like you insisted that Trump was responsible and should be held accountable for the actions of his followers and that he was the cause of violence by his detractors.  Now, you want to steer clear of holding the candidate accountable or charging said candidate with any responsibility or accountability.  Can you not see the blatant hypocrisy in that?

Mr. Ellison and the Media have convenient selectively short memories regarding the actions of those on the Left and their hypocrisy.  But I should no longer be surprised and should now be expecting that at every turn.  It is the norm for them, but they insist we are the ones who are being hypocritical and denying reality.

I was elated that Congressman Steve Scalise chose not to let Ellison slide and tweeted, “I can think of an example.”  Who was that example?  It was Congressman Scalise himself.  He was almost killed along with other Republicans by a ‘Bernie Bro’ that opened fire on the Republicans practicing for the Congressional baseball game in Washington.  That was back in June 2017, has everyone forgotten that horrific act of domestic terrorism by a ‘Bernie Bro?’

Have we forgotten the plea from Barack Obama and other Democrats for their supporters to ‘get in the faces’ of their opponents?  That is the fruit of the diatribe, rhetoric, and vitriol of people like Eric Holder, Cory Booker, Maxine Waters, encouraging their supporters to take to the streets.

The shooter in Washington that almost took the life of the Congressman was an avid Bernie supporter.  This deranged individual posted on his Facebook page, “Trump is a Traitor.  Trump has Destroyed our Democracy.  It’s Time to Destroy Trump & Co. and Republicans are all the Taliban of the USA.”  Where did he get that idea?  From Trump?  No, he got it from Bernie, Ellison, Holder, Obama, Waters, Booker, Clinton, and company.

Those like Bernie Sanders who preach an apocalyptic end of our known world in just a decade or so due to what he considers the evil of capitalism or global warming or something is the problem.  The incitement of the Left for violence and attempted justification for vicious attacks on conservatives, Christians, and Republicans were exemplified in the aftermath of Congressman Scalise’s trauma.  The talking heads on the left went full-bore in their attack on the victim.

One MSNBC host dared to ask if Congressman Scalise’s life-threatening injuries meant that Americans had to ‘ignore’ his political positions?  Seriously?  You wanted to blame him for the evil committed against him?  Joy Reid argued that Scalise’s positions on Obama Care and gay marriage were of such significant moral concerns it could not be overlooked.  She attempted to justify the deranged shooter’s actions.  Others insisted the attack was self-inflicted.

Maxine Waters has repeatedly argued that there can be “no sympathy” for Trump, his administration or followers.  She and others like her have called for their side to ‘turn on them,’ meaning those who disagree with the Leftist positions and ‘harass’ us daily.  She argued that we should be harangued at gas stations, restaurants, and while out shopping.

Some, including Hollywood liberal elitists, called for the rape, sodomization, and murder of the president and his family, including his young son.  However, those same people insisted that Obama’s children were off-limits.  Double standard is too mild a descriptor and hypocrisy is far to bland a description.  It is evil and has brought us to where we are, the brink of full-blown civil war in America.

They hate Donald Trump and they hate those of us who disagree with their positions.  I have been attacked by those on the Left and the Never Trump Crowd on the Right.  I have been threatened and called everything but a human being because I voted for him and will do so again.  I want America to be restored and the size and scope of government reduced.  Trump has moved us in the right direction and there is much more to do.  We are a long way from restored, but light years ahead of where we would be had Clinton won the election or should Bernie, Biden or any Democrat win this time.

Yes, Trump fights in the manner they fight.  Do I sometimes find his language and attacks troubling?  Yes, but at the same time, I know that the past tactics and practices of Republicans have failed miserably and emboldened and empowered the Democrats in their assault.

Trump, unlike the previous president’s, is not hoping to become rich after he leaves office, he is rich.  He is not hoping to secure a multi-million-dollar book deal after his presidency, he already is a best-selling author.  He not hoping to be allowed into the inner circle of the rich and powerful, he already was.  He is not beholding to any political party, special interests, or major contributors and that makes him free to pursue what he and we believe is in the best interest of America.  I like that!

The Democratic hopefuls, to a person, want to implement their brand of world government and control the lives of individuals.  They want to restrict the personal wealth of citizens, limit the free market, redistribute the wealth, open our borders, weaken our military, and destabilize the world.  They want to limit our freedoms of speech, religion, and self-defense.  They want to impose on us abortion on demand, universal healthcare, same sex-marriages, and ten thousand genders as well as install a Gestapo politically correct police force to incarcerate or eliminate all dissension.

The Bernie War is real, and we must pay careful attention to him, his followers, and their willingness to destroy to achieve their purposes.  I expect an escalation of violence as the November election draws near.  I expect more upheaval as the Democratic Convention date arrives.  AMERICA WE MUST WAKE UP and PREPARE!

God bless you and God bless America!

WHAT THE WORLD NEEDS NOW IS “Love Sweet Love.”

Yeah, I am reminiscing and walking back to 1965 when Jackie DeShannon released the popular tune, “What the World Needs Now Is Love.”  That was the year I graduated from High School.  It was later that year that I got my draft notice and, in the Fall of 1965, went to Bootcamp and then in 1967 found myself in Southeast Asia in the Vietnam War.  Peace Signs were everywhere in America, but there was little peace and even less love being demonstrated.  Factions were at war with each other politically and those of us who were somewhat a-political were often attacked by both sides as being Un-American.

I went through my tour in Vietnam with a belief that God existed but was by no stretch of the imagination a Christian.  I have thought about that year ten-thousand times with the gripping reality that had I fallen on the battlefield I would have been lost for eternity.  I have a fellow veteran who says, “I did not hate those I was fighting, nor did I love them.  I was trying to survive.”  At the beginning of my tour, I could agree with that statement but by the time I came home, I had hate, in my heart and it was consuming.  I hated not only what I witnessed in the mutilation of Americans but the treatment by the Communist of the South Vietnamese people who resisted the communist.  I began to view them as rabid animals needing extinction.

I came home with thoughts in my head that I would never have confessed to anyone, except possibly a fellow Vietnam Veteran who had come home from that war.  Hate, distrust, and the glaring inability to open my heart to anyone was consuming me far more than most knew or suspected.  I was out of place in a world where I was loved by family and respected by friends.  Staying in one place was difficult and went from relationship to relationship never able to find the filler for the cavity in my heart, mind, and soul.  I needed what I did not have and did not know how to find, LOVE!

I recall hearing that song in the Spring of 1968 after I had been home, a couple of months and laughed.  I thought, “Love is a figment of the imagination, not real.”  One of the girls I dated confided in another friend, “Roy is frightening, his mind is a deep dark prison and the walls he has built around himself are impenetrable.”  She was not wrong. I had determined that I would not allow anyone. or anything to get near enough to see any of my weaknesses.  The reality is, my weaknesses were exposed far more in my inability to love and allow others in than they would have been had I known how to Love and be Loved!

That changed in 1969 when I encountered God in His Saving Grace, sitting alone at a kitchen table around midnight on a Saturday night.  The change was not something I had to talk about, it was visible.  I thought differently, acted differently, and for the first time in a very long time, experienced love and felt love for other people.  I was free and wanted everyone to be free and know the freedom that I felt.  It was a new world!

Since that time, I have battled times when I would fall prey to the temptation to allow ‘un-love’, which is really ‘hate’ to live in my heart.  A very wise person asked me, “Can you see into that person’s heart?”  Obviously, I could not.  He then said, “Unless you can, then leave that to God and love them, pray for them, and be willing to hear their side of the question.”  I was taught and believe, that I do not have to agree or even associate with them if their view and lifestyle is anathema to my beliefs, but I must find it within my heart to love them and even forgive them.

What America needs is “Love, Sweet Love!”  We have a political divide so pronounced that both sides of the Liberal vs Conservative political have allowed hate to squeeze out love, understanding, or tolerance.  I never ask anyone to abandon their beliefs or principles in dealing with those who disagree.  I only ask that we realize we do not know what is in their hearts.  We do not know how they arrived at their opinion.  We do not know the hurts, fears, pains, desires, goals, or dreams they hold deep inside their being.

Today’s political scene not only deems hate for the opposition as commendable but encourages it.  Hate allows for a lie to be told with no remorse and considers it a justifiable means to an end.  Hate elevates self and the views of the hater to the pinnacle of the mountain of intelligence, morality, sanity, and right.  It also diminishes the views of the other as ignorance and often considers those opposing views as diabolical.  It allows the demonizing of the person or persons holding opposing views and cheering any bad that happens to them.  It excuses and justifies violence and forceful demonstrations of hate and destruction.

What the World Needs is Love!  No, I do not mean sit around a campfire and sing “Kum Ba Yah.”  We do need the Lord, to come by here and touch our hearts, healing us of our animosity and hate.  Many do not accept the idea that God’s Love is our solution.  However, can we not all agree that Hate is destroying us and extending to others a little more tolerance would be beneficial?  Can we not agree that hating another because of skin pigmentation, ethnicity, religion, or political view is not helping us find solutions and is making the world less safe?

Let me be a realist and say, “We will never have a world, this side of heaven, where everybody loves everybody, is tolerant, and understanding.”  That is a Utopian fantasy, not reality.  That is a storybook fictional world that does not exist.  I do not trust everyone!  Some people have proven they are not trustworthy.  I find it intolerable when anyone seeks to force their views, lifestyles, or religion on others.  We need Love but we do not need Apathy.

Are there things it is acceptable to hate?  Yes!  Can we hate those things and not hate the people?  Yes!  It is not and will not be easy, but it is possible through the help of God and by His Grace.  I hate the works of the devil.  I hate the destruction that sin brings to lives.  I hate the practices that are abominable to moral sanity, the Bible, and human dignity.  I weep for those who practice those things and pray for them.  I do not associate with them knowing that to do so might well be perceived as an acceptance of their practices or an endorsement of those things.

I am praying for America.  Rather, I am seeking to be an intercessor for my beloved nation.  I am fully convinced that if the followers of the toxic brand of liberalism embodied by those on the Left prevails politically, hate will become the norm and love and tolerance will be relegated to the shadows.  I am fully convinced that if those people regain control of the government violence will escalate, freedoms will diminish, and the philosophical differences will become battle cries in the war that comes to fruition and flourish.

You may find my article out of the ordinary and providing no benefit in our struggle for reclaiming our Republic and the preservation of our Freedoms and Liberties.  However, I believe we need to look deep in ourselves and ask, “How do we want others to treat us?”  Then, determine to treat others that way.  I believe that then and only then will we have hope of bridging the abyss that is separating us today.

God bless you and God bless America!

FUNDAMENTALLY FLAWED PHILOSOPHY…

I believe the condition of politics in America today is the fruit of a fundamentally flawed philosophy being advanced and perpetuated.  No, I am not absolving those of us on the right and saying, we are ‘flawless’, but the religion of toxic liberalism is a flawed philosophy.  It can only end badly for them and us if it is allowed any success in the shaping of our government and thereby our society.

This condition is beyond serious and has become a crisis of epic proportions.  The prophetic failures of the Leftists doomsday prognosticators are driving them over the cliff into philosophical insanity.  When you have a religious cult that believes the rest of the world is evil and insists that failure to heed their warnings and ascribe to their agendas is certain doom, you have a serious problem that is not easily handled.

Religious cultists, such as those following the toxicity of liberal thought and philosophy believe that they are the only true guardians of hope.  Sadly, when the followers of a failed and flawed ideology discover their prophecies have failed, they don’t amend their thinking and rejoin reasoned society.  Instead they double down on their prophecies and insist that they simply did not read the tea leaves closely enough and their calculations were off by a decade or so, but their warnings are still valid.  Sadly, the only validity of their prognostications is in their flawed philosophical minds.  That makes them doubly dangerous.

Climate Change Activists insist that we are a doomed world because of human beings. Their rantings often sound as if they do not believe they are also human but above that lowly distinction which can only be applied to the unbelievers who reject their prophecies and religion.  The Gun Control Activists insist that if we could ban ‘assault rifles’ (not a true distinction of the guns they seek to ban) there would be no more gun violence.  Their failure to connect and apply the human element in the equation is illogical and poses a serious threat to our inalienable rights as a people.

The Abortion on Demand Proponents insist that aborting an unwanted baby in the womb is nothing more than the removal of an unsightly growth on the body or the discarding of an unwanted piece of clothing.  They fail to include true medical science into the discussion and call this women’s health and a woman’s right to choose.  That unprotected and innocent life in the womb has no defense, but as those on the Left insist, is not a human being while in the womb.  God views that differently as does true medical science and so do I.

California and New York City have passed laws to decriminalize petty crimes which often lead to serious and deadly crimes.  We have cities across our homeland that have opted to become Sanctuary Cities for illegals including those with a history of violent crimes.  That has led to rape, murder, and other violent crimes against legal American citizens.  Yet, they follow their flawed philosophy that we are all citizens of the world and if someone is in America, they are deserving of all the rights, fruits, benefits, and protections of the United States.  Their flawed philosophy is destroying the Republic, weakening our national sovereignty, and endangering Americans as well as burdening beyond reason our economic and judicial system.

The world of the Left is another world than the one those of us living in the real world experience.  The late, Sir Robert Scruton wrote: “Leftwing people find it very difficult to get on with rightwing people because they believe that they are evil.  Whereas I have no problem getting on with leftwing people because I simply believe that they are mistaken.”  Although I largely agree with him, I must acknowledge some in today’s political climate seems to have ventured beyond mistaken into the throes of evil.

Those on the Left who are following the flawed philosophical view of today’s toxic liberal agenda believe they can ‘fundamentally transform’ our society into their Utopian vision.  They insist they are attempting to create a world of equality, fairness, justice, and rid the world of the evil of racism, sexism, and the many phobias inflicting society.  They believe that it is their obligation to rid society of all conservative thought that is contrary to their worldview.  If that means reeducation camps or elimination of those on the Right, they believe that is their divine mandate.  Their religion demands it and their prophets predict doom if they do not.  Therefore, they follow the ideology that they are right, the world is wrong and must be forced into compliance.

I also see doom for America and the world UNLESS!  The Unless, is where I differ from the Leftist Prophets of Doom.  The Unless, I believe applicable is vastly different from their unless.  They believe that everyone must be forced into compliance with their toxic brand of liberalism.  I, on the other hand, believe that we must return to our founding principles which include recognition of God’s Divine Providence in our beginning and longevity.

The Left has left behind those who were a part of their political party who believe in God and morality.  They have now rejected God, moral sanity, national sovereignty, and inalienable rights of the individual.  They have become devoted followers of a religion that gives all power to the government and none to the individual.  I, on the other hand, believe as did our Founders that God’s hand has been upon this nation from the beginning.  I believe that the only hope for America and the world is embodied in 2 Chronicles 7:14 and that our hope is to repent of our sins, which are many.  Our only hope is to pray for God’s mercy and guidance, which is sorely needed.

Our hope is in returning to our moral moorings and when we do, we will see a renewed strengthening of the home and family and in that will come civility, personal responsibility, and respect.  Our hope is to recognize that we are all unique individuals and none of us think alike or desire exactly the same thing in life.   I do not want to live in a world where everyone is a cutter version of everyone else.  I like individuality and creativity.  I like having the freedom to pursue different objectives and dreams.  That is what America was and what America needs to return to being.  Our true hope is in God not government.

We can follow the Flawed Philosophy of today’s toxic political world or we can return to personal responsibility, accountability, and moral sanity.  What we decide will affect our vote in future elections and our future as a nation and as individuals.  I take the position that Joshua took in his final address to the nation of Israel in Joshua 24:15. He said, in essence, “If you think it unacceptable to serve God that’s your choice, but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”  I am what I am today because of my faith and relationship with God.  I am what I am today because I grew up in a strong family where there was viable and definitive parental involvement.  I am what I am today because I believe that “All men are created equal and have certain inalienable rights which include Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”

I choose Freedom and believe in Independence!  I reject the Religion of the Flawed Philosophical Philosophy of today’s Toxic Liberalism.  I stand with the President and will vote to continue our journey to a restored America in November 2020.  I hope you join me in that vote.

God bless you and God bless America!

WHEN FACTS AND REALITY DO NOT SUPPORT YOU – Make Stuff Up…

That is clearly the modus operandi of the Democratic Party, the Main-Stream Media, Hollywood, the Pundits and Activists who hate President Trump.  Hey, facts are unimportant to the Leftists.  I am reminded of the words of John Adams in 1770 as he was charged with defending the British soldiers involved in the Boston Massacre.  He said,I will enlarge no more on the evidence, but submit it to you, gentlemen—Facts are stubborn things; and whatever may be our wishes, our inclinations, or the dictates of our passions, they cannot alter the state of facts and evidence: nor is the law less stable than the fact. If an assault was made to endanger their lives, the law is clear, they had rightly killed in their own defense.”

I won’t get into the historic investigation as to who said “Facts are stubborn things” but Adams’ use of it was profound and effective.  The words of Daniel Patrick Moynihan are also germane.  He said, “Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not to his own facts.”  His Democratic Party has largely abandoned that philosophy as have too many politicians, virtually all the Main-Stream Media, the Hollywood elitists, and those who seek to ‘fundamentally transform America’ and ‘destroy the current president.’  But, alas, facts are facts and truth is truth.  In our system of government and jurisprudence that must remain a core principle or we lose all that we have enjoyed and fought for over the centuries.

The ludicrous charges that have been brought against President Trump and others associated with him are often devoid of any semblance of fact or truth.  They hinge upon preference, dislike, distaste, and the thirst for vengeance and power.  The three-year trek that led to the impeachment and the Senate trial was promoted using ‘fear’ and ‘paranoia.’  After, all President Donald Trump is Lucifer incarnate and the most dangerous man on the planet.  Well, that’s how they see him or want us to see him.

When facts and reality do not support your argument you either acknowledge that you have no case and move or you ‘Make Stuff Up.’  That’s where we are in today’s political climate – Stuff is Continually Being Made Up!  That is detrimental to our System of Government, America, all Americans, and our Hope of Survival as the Free Constitutional Republic.   Today, they are going beyond anything they have done in the past and the only way it ends is if we oust the lot of them in November.  Will we do that?  Can we do that?  The answer to both is ‘unlikely.’

The self-important Anderson Cooper of CNN and his ilk are and have been in full bore Fear Mongering.  They have no facts therefore they must resort to fanning the flames of fear and giving breeding ground to paranoia beyond anything we have witnessed in modern history.  They are crying to their cameras and into their microphones hoping to influence all who do not or incapable of thinking for themselves into believing that Trump has or is destroying America.

Cooper and others insist that if Trump could he would arrest and jail all reporters, as if they were reporters.  They seem to forget the fact that it was Obama that weaponized the government against reporters he did not like, not Trump.  Cooper has taken it to a new level and is insisting that President Trump is ‘weaponizing the military.’  He is attempting to frighten people into believing that Trump is a tyrant attempting to suspend all elections, toss out our Constitution and transform America into a banana republic.  Wait, Mr. Cooper, who promised to ‘fundamentally transform America?’  Was that not your hero, Barack H. Obama not Donald J. Trump?  Trump promised to restore the oversight to the people in total contrast to what your Party and hero threatened and desires.

I watch with some amusement at the total chaos of the Democrats in their pursuit of finding an opponent to oppose President Trump in November.  In the previous election, they stacked the deck against Bernie Sanders in favor of their anointed one, Hillary Clinton.  It is déjà vu all over again as the evidence keeps surfacing that the deck is, once again, being stacked against Crazy Bernie.

But, just for grins, let’s suppose that Bernie prevails and becomes the nominee and then somehow wins the election becoming the 46th President of these United States of America.  No, I do not believe that will happen, but just suppose it did.  Many have argued that there is no way that Bernie could ever get his proposal passed and enacted into law.  I disagree!

However, I will concede that it would require his party also having control of the Senate and the House but suppose he had all those.  He would dump all parliamentary procedures and use reconciliation beyond any usage this far.  He would force through his agenda and even if he only had 50 Senators in the Senate who could deny that turn-coats like Romney and Left-leaning Senators like Collins and Murkowski would not be tempted to take the Democrat’s bait?

If Bernie were to become President, he would have his own ‘bully pulpit, a totally compliant media, and shamefully subservient Democratic Party’ at his behest.  That would not bode well for America, our Republic, our People, and our System of Government.  It would be ‘goodbye free-market capitalism’ and ‘hello Socialism and Communism.’

When you toss into the mix the deep-pocketed billionaire from New York, Michael Bloomberg who is either trying to buy the nomination or control who is nominated and the party, you have evidence of a Party in total disarray.  Bloomberg’s wealth is a factor because money talks and when money talks, integrity, sanity, and facts often walk.

Bloomberg is spending money like it grows on trees, and for him, the pockets are so deep what he spends is hardly noticed so it continues.  He is forcing the party that is supposedly anti-billionaires and wants to tax them into non-existence to embrace him and those like him.  If the American people cannot see through that, then we may deserve what we get.  No, millions of us do not deserve it but if we do not prevail, we and those who vote for him and the Democrats will all pay the price.  None will be exempt.

Bloomberg, Biden, and others have used their money or government money to assure their objectives – ‘Quid Pro Quo’ but Trump is impeached under that charge.  Isn’t that a bit hypocritical?  The IG reports the violations of both the Law and ethical standards by McCabe and the DOJ decided, ‘nothing to see here’ and allowed him to walk free.  That suggests that the Deep State is still in control of what happens.  That does not bode well for America if we do not keep the White House, the Senate, and retake the House of Representatives.

America, our Freedom is hanging in the balance and we must never lose sight of the reality that the modus operandi of the Left is, “When the Facts and Reality Do Not Support Your Position – Just Make Stuff Up.”  We must help them find other employment on November 3, 2020.

God bless you and God bless America!

NOT A FAN OF THE FEDERAL RESERVE…

In some ways that is a classic understatement regarding my view of the FED or most of the federal bureaucracies as they now exist and function.  But the power of the FED and its incredible impact on American lives and fortunes makes it a creature worthy of careful scrutiny.

I agree with those who contend that the Federal Reserve is one of the least understood agencies in America.  I am on board with those who are calling for a ‘full audit’ of the FED, something that has not happened in its more than 100-year existence.  Why or How could that be?  If it is allowed to go ‘unchecked’ and allowed to operate as its own lord and master, it will become an even more dangerous organism.

Why would the FED seek to avoid an outside and fair audit?  Why is Congress negligent in fulfilling its ethical duties to America and demanding a full and fair audit of the FED?  You may disagree but I believe that our national sovereignty, economic viability, and freedom is connected to knowing the truth about the FED.  We have a right to know the truth, and while the Democrats are hell-bent on destroying Donald Trump, they are complicit in protecting the FED, but so are most of the Republicans.  That places Congress in a position of complicity in the cover-up or sheltering from an examination of this entity.

The Constitution authorizes Congress to ‘coin money’ but does that also mean ‘create it?’  There is nothing, that I can find, in the Constitution that authorizes the government to establish a bank or cede its constitutional and extremely limited authority regarding money to any other entity, viz The Federal Reserve.  What is the hold the FED has over Congress and politicians?  What is the real power of the unelected entity that wields such incredible power in the fiscal fate of America?

Not to bore you with a history lesson but when the FED was created in 1913, the American dollar had a buying power of 100 cents and gold was valued at $20 per ounce.  In contrast, today the buying power of the American dollar is about 2 cents and the value of gold is appraised at about $1500 per ounce.  How or why did that happen?  Why such a dramatic shift?  What changed?

Let me ask, “Who owns the Federal Reserve?”  Another valid question is, “How does it operate?”  I suggest that virtually no one can fully or adequately answer those questions not even members of Congress and that makes it a frighteningly powerful organism that seems to have a life of its own.

Let me offer my opinion as to why Congress has not sought to ‘fully audit’ the FED and you can ponder it, trash it, agree with it, or reject it.  I only hope to cause you to think and question and hopefully, you will then pressure your elected officials to conduct a ‘full audit’ of the Federal Reserve and lay all the cards on the table.  Why has Congress ducked their responsibility to audit?  I believe it is a bottom-line issue.  No, not America’s bottom line, but the coffers of those in Congress.  Money talks and buys loyalty and silence possibly more than fear.

After a little research into the archives of information, I found the interesting morsel of information that in 1993, the Chairman of the Federal Reserve Alan Greenspan revealed that there were 189 economic ‘experts’ working for the FED.  That was not the end of the enormity of the entity.  He revealed that there were an additional 171 who held jobs at its regional offices.  But alas, that was the tip of the iceberg and an additional 370 were employed as statisticians and support staff.  Then, we discovered that the 209 professors who taught various FED endorsed economic fantasies in our universities received 305 contracts as an inducement to defend the Federal Reserve.  Again, money talks and buys loyalty.  Who wants to bite the hand that feeds them or looks the gift horse in the mouth?

That would be concerning enough but today the number of grants and salaries issued by the FED has grown exponentially.  How much is debatable and the support of the FED by the ‘experts’ is so extensive one economics professor lamented, “It is nearly impossible to get an article on the FED accepted for publication?”

It should be of considerable concern that only two unelected bureaucrats at the Federal Reserve can decide who can receives trillions of dollars in loans without even consulting Congress.  The Board of Governors of the FED has the power to bypass the congressional appropriations appropriation process and make loans to individuals, partnerships, and corporations that are ‘unable to secure adequate credit accommodations from other banking institutions’ providing there are ‘unusual and exigent circumstances.’

Before 2002, at least five of the seven FED governors had to authorize such action but in 2001 the law was amended after 9/11 so that if there are less than five governors in office those loans could be authorized by a ‘unanimous vote of all available members in office – if at least two members are available.’  That is a terrible decision.

I asked several people mostly liberals and a few conservatives, “what is the Federal Reserve?”  What I heard, almost uniformly, was, “It is a government agency that creates all of the money to run the United States.”  That is a gross misconception and, in my view, a dangerous one.  The Federal Reserve is a private corporation controlled by bankers, and that means it operates for the financial benefit of those bankers not the people of these United States.

The founders wanted the power and authority to coin money to be placed solely into the hands of the U.S. Congress, not some private entity.  They held the view that they must avoid what one European Banker suggested, “Permit me to issue and control the money of a nation, and I care not who makes the laws.”

The Federal Reserve Act of 1913 passed on Christmas Eve was not a good Christmas gift for America but they gave us our lump of coal. In this Act, Congress gave away the power to create money and handed it over to a private corporation.

I understand Jefferson’s concern about bankers because with the state of financial affairs and the power of the FED we are rapidly reaching a place where the government nor the people will actually own anything, and the bankers will own everything.  That will effectively enslave every American economically.

We should heed Jefferson’s warnings.  He said, “If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their private banks to control the issue of their money… the banks and corporations that will grow up around them (the banks) will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered!”

We must be rescued from the yoke of High Finance and return the constitutional powers to the rightful places where ‘we the people’ have oversight.  We must return that power to the people we can vote in or out of office.  We do not have that power with the increasingly powerful FED.  Wake up America!  This is one of the many issues facing us and we are lost in the political wrangling about which party is the most partisan and should be in power.

God bless you and God bless America!
