Okay, I guess you can now officially list me among those who believe that the U.S. dollar is going to collapse and the economy is going to tank into oblivion leaving millions in America and around the world in financial ruin.  I do not believe it is ‘if’ but ‘when’ this transpires.  On our present course in the United States with the insatiable appetite for spending, deficit, and debt a collapse is imminent and guaranteed.  Our path is unsustainable by the estimation of virtually all economic forecasters and seems to be a planned destruction. 

            I do not know how anyone can assume that the United States government can continue its unbridled spending, the Federal Reserve can continue printing money making the currency more and more worthless, and ‘entitlement programs’ and ‘wasteful spending’ continue without dire results.  Those feeding at the government trough of entitlements seem to believe that ‘Golden Goose’ of the Nanny State Federal Government has an endless supply of money and that printing money at an insane rate is not a problem.  IT IS MORE THAN A PROBLEM.  It is a disaster waiting to happen.  It is just a matter of time.

            I’ve had some tell me that this will not happen because the ‘power brokers’ of the world will not allow it to happen because they would be hurt.  If you truly believe they have not ‘hedged’ their bets you are living in Wonderland and should see the Tin Man any moment now.  I believe that the ‘money people’ of the world will make money if the U.S. dollar remains or if it goes by the wayside.  I believe that it is just a matter of when it becomes economically, politically, nationally, and internationally profitable to them.  We are virtually, if not literally, owned by other countries, the money and power brokers of the world.  If they deem it in the interest of their power, profit, and position to destroy the U.S. dollar it is gone.  We have reached or are dangerously close to the point of no return it would seem and if we do not reign in this spending and debt train within a very short time we will see what Willard Cantelon a preacher wrote about decades ago.  He wrote a book called ‘The Day The Dollar Dies’ and many believed it theoretically but not practically.  That is the same way that many believe the prophecies of the Bible.  It will happen just not to them or in their lifetime thus no real change in practices or lifestyles.  Well some generation will see the fulfillment of the prophecies and the collapse of the World Economy the only question is which generation.

            I read a report of one economist that said the talk of ‘hyperinflation’ regarding the British pound and the U.S. dollar should be viewed not if it happens but in hindsight that it has already happened.  He cited that if you bought a house for $20,000 in 1913 using U.S. dollars you would need $1 Million in today’s dollars.  If that is accurate or even remotely accurate we are looking at a devaluation rate of 98.5 to 99.5% of the British pound and the U.S. dollar and if we are already there where do we go to salvage either?  The Federal Government has been making plans to take your money including your retirement accounts and redistribute it to themselves not struggling people.  The government shutdown or slowdown was not about people but about power.  If the government does not continue to operate at its rate then the lobbyist, consultants, special interest will not get what they want and the legislators will not continue to become more and more powerful and rich personally.  It was never about us it was about them!  There would be ample funds to help the truly needy and do the government’s true constitutional duties if it were not for the incredible excess and waste that we have today in government. 

             If in your personal finances each month you charge much more than you bring in you will find that in a short time you are barely and basically just paying the interest on your debt.  If that continues to the point that the interest is more than you bring in you have a complete economic collapse and are destroyed financially.  The Federal Government is operating that way so what is different?  NOTHING! 

             Based on what I see politically, nationally, internationally, and biblically I fully believe a CRASH of epic proportions is just around the corner.  I fear for what I see happening if and when that happens.  The headlines will read:  “Panic in the Streets”, “Rioting and Looting Rampant”, “Chaos and Anarchy in America”, and many other descriptive headlines.  Hunger and fear will drive people to looting, murder, and viciousness that will be beyond anything most of us can fathom.  I believe that we are in more danger economically in America than through a direct military type attack and we are very much in danger of that due to our porous borders, incredibly inept foreign policy, and attention to terrorism. 

            My message is not one that will cheer you up but I tell you now that if you can take steps to ‘hedge your bet’ financially against the decreasing and dying dollar.  Even more importantly I urge everyone to look to God because we are going to see a time, and I believe soon, where unless God sustains us we perish individually and collectively.  I believe this time will be one of the greatest times of revival and trouble that the world has ever seen. I want to be on God’s side when it comes and at the same time I recall the words of the Bible spoken by the Lord, “Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.”  We must do what we know to do and yet we must become so completely reliant on GOD that we live without fear!

             This government has demonstrated its lack of trustworthiness and I do not just mean the Obama administration.  We have as very small window of opportunity and chance hopefully and we MUST reclaim our nation!

            I see something developing that if I am right in what I see will lead to Democrat dominance in Washington for long enough to totally dismantle America and precipitate the ultimate demise of our beloved nation. What I am going to say is probably not going to set will with many on both sides of the aisle and I am not trying to tell anyone to do anything differently than what their heart and conscience tells them to do only pointing out what I see happening as a result.

             What I see happening is a situation where the Democrats have become so extremist in their reach to the far left, liberalism, progressivism, socialism, and entitlement and the Republican establishment has demonstrated such willingness to compromise that a situation has developed which will likely destroy America.  The situation has become so dire that many who are so dissatisfied with the status quo and the current crop of politicians in DC they will not vote for a Republican unless that candidate is super conservative and/or constitutional in all things, at all times, and in all situations.  I am not saying that attitude is wrong only that the result will be that the Republican and the Third Party Candidate will lose to the Democrat leading to the Democrats taking total control of the White House and both Houses of Congress and with the current mentality they will dismantle the Constitution and the Country.

            Again, I am not saying you are wrong in this attitude or action only pointing out what I see happening or likely to happen.  I do not blame anyone for the feeling of disgust and determination to NOT VOTE for any Republican, RINO or Democrat I blame the Republican Establishment and the Liberal Democrats for this condition.  It angers me to the core of my being and saddens me more than words can express.  I too am disgusted and fed up with the Republicans being nothing more than Democrat Lites most of the time.  I am disgusted with the Congressional ignoring of the Constitution and the voice of the people of this great nation.  I am disgusted with the rapid fall of this nation over the past five years and know that the path we are currently on will ultimately lead to the Demise of America.

             HEAR ME PLEASE!  I am not suggesting that you compromise your beliefs or convictions and simply put a Republican in office who might turn out to be at best a part-time constitutional conservative and at worst a RINO but I am saying that the condition and situation we are now is, likely to lead to Obama’s completion of his objective to ‘fundamentally transform America,’ gutting out Constitution, Congress, and stripping us of our Rights and Freedoms. 

             I wish I could tell you that if we all set aside our convictions and vote Republican things would be different and we could save America, I cannot.  I wish I could tell you that there will be candidates that we can rally around who will espouse the principles of Freedom and Liberty that we know and hold dear, I cannot.  I wish I could tell you that I see a knight in shining armor riding out of obscurity and leading the constitutional conservatives to victory and control of both houses of congress as well as the White House, but I cannot.  We are in a mess and the mess is not going to be cleaned up in an election cycle or two but the nation can be lost in just a couple of elections.  THESE ARE DIRE TIMES!

            Those of the ideology and ilk of Barack Obama, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Chuck Schumer, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and others will destroy America in short order if not stopped.  HOW DO WE STOP THEM?  I wish I could give you a reliable plan but the only reliable plan I can offer is ‘intercessory prayer’ because I do not see the unification of the Republican Party around constitutional principles and I do not see a transformation of the Democrat Party around those principles.  I see the professional political elite becoming more and more of an oligarchy and relegating the populace more and more to serfdom.  We will soon have some major decisions to make and I hope that we each make them carefully and prayerfully considering all the possibilities resulting from our decisions.  THAT IS ALL I AM ASKING!

            I sound the alarm and know that some will say I am being nothing more than a ‘Doomsday Prophet’ and an ‘Alarmist.’  I hope I am wrong in what I see and hope that candidates rise from the ashes of the political fodder that will demonstrate the principles, character, and qualities that will preserve and restore this nation to the Constitutional Republic status that it enjoyed for the first 100 plus years of its existence and has maintained until the past few decades.  I pray for a miracle!

            I have repeatedly and frequently been castigated and vilified by some fellow Christians for speaking against the government and government officials when I believe they are violating ‘moral decency’, ‘ethical principles’, ‘biblical guidelines’, and ‘the constitution’.  I believe that I am on solid ground scripturally, morally, ethically, constitutionally, and personally in what I do but others disagree and the most often basis is to cite Romans 13 as a direct command against what I do.  I want to look at that and ask a few questions in my consideration of ‘resisting governmental tyranny as a Christian.’

To be completely fair and honest I must cite the aforementioned biblical passage.

 Romans 13:1-4 – “Let every soul be subject to the higher powers.  For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.  Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.  For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? Do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same: For he is the minister of God to thee for good.  But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.”

            If we can come to an agreeable definition of ‘rebellion’ we can proceed with a civil discussion.  Hopefully you will accept the following definition:  “Rebellion is the disobedience to a lawful order and a lawful authority.”  If a police car turns on its red light I must stop.  That would be a lawful order by a lawful authority.  Likewise can we agree that “Rebellion IS NOT disobedience to an unlawful order or unlawful authority”?

             Not to make this totally a sermon, if you consider Acts 5 when Peter and the apostles were called on the carpet before the ‘governing authority’ and told to ‘cease preaching Jesus’ they responded, “NO, we ought to obey God rather than man.”  Were they wrong?  Likewise, when the Founding Fathers and Colonist including many in the ministry stood against the Tyranny of the British Crown because, in their view, the Crown had violated their God-given right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, were they wrong?  

The Declaration of Independence states:

“Any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and to institute New Government.” 

             Clearly they believed that if the government violates man’s inalienable right it is not only okay to protest, criticize, but even abolish that government. The list of grievances against the Crown was lengthy and many preachers stood in their pulpits and encouraged the colonist to ‘resist’ and considered resistance ‘obedience’ to God and God’s Word!  Romans 13 cannot be used as an ‘excuse for despotism’ and the violation of basic human rights.  In fact, I would suggest that the Bible throughout directs us to ‘resist’ such a government and to encourage people to ‘resist.’

            If, as many have challenged, Christians cannot resist government then what shall we do with America for clearly the colonist did just that.  The British Crown was the official government and had official rule over them and they spoke out, criticized, and came together in open rebellion in order to secure independence and freedom.  If the contention that we are forbidden to do so then the United States of America was formed in direct violation of God’s Word and is a cursed nation or should be.  I do not believe that I believe the contrary that America has been a blessed nation and God’s hand was seen in the liberation of this nation. 

            How about Nazi Germany?  It was the official elected government of Germany and Hitler was the official elected leader of that nation.  Yet, preachers such as Karl Barth, and Dietrich Bonhoeffer preached against the Nazi regime and Hitler.  Were they wrong?  Should Nazi Germany still be the controlling government of that nation today even in the face of the horrific atrocities in the holocaust and beyond!  I think not and do not believe that those who castigate me and other believers for our political involvement believe that either.

             Martin Luther King, Jr. resisted the government and the law of the land in his pursuit of ‘Civil Rights’ was he wrong?  If Romans 13 forbids us for speaking against government then what do we do with the criticism and outcry against those nations with horrible human rights violations and our involvement in any war in history?  We were coming against evil but if that evil is God’s minister and we are forbidden to stand against it then we were opposing God and are in the wrong.  I do not believe we are muzzled in those nor do I believe you do either. Yet, when this nation, our leaders, and government violates the human rights, tramples on our Constitution, wages war against the Christian faith in its mandates, edicts, and actions are we to sit silent?  How can I?  How can I watch my fellow citizens be tyrannized regardless of what political party is doing the tyrannizing?  How can I, as a follower of Christ not allow ‘righteous indignation’ to rise up in my heart and cry out against WICKEDNESS and EVIL? 

            Now, I understand that we may differ on what we believe to be wicked and evil and that is fine but to tell us that we are forbidden for speaking out against what we believe to be direct violations of our American Constitution and God’s Word while violating our God-given rights and freedoms I believe is wrong.  I pray for those that are in power. I pray for their souls.  I pray for their enlightenment.   I pray that God will guide their actions and footsteps into the paths that He has chosen.  I pray that they come to Christ and allow morality to govern their lives.  I pray for them and pray for this nation but I cannot sit silent when I see evil running rampant for if I do then I believe that the words of Ezekiel apply to me and God will hold me accountable for the blood of the innocent that I failed to warn. 

             If you believe I am totally wrong then pray for my enlightenment.  If this allows you to understand why I am who I am and why I do what I do then God bless you and pray for me.  I want nothing but the best for this nation and our people and for the world for that matter.  I wish no ill upon anyone and hate no one but I must resist evil.

            I had to say that to a ‘low information’ person in a very public place a few days ago and as a result thought I was going to be assaulted by about 10 ‘low information’ incredibly racially motivated individuals.  They immediately began resorting to the tactics they have observed by the man in the White House, the individual leading the Democrats in the Senate, the minority leader in the House of Representatives, Van Jones, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, the Attorney General and a host of others in politics and in the media.  Substance was absent but the incessant name calling and threats of physical violence persisted to the point that the manager of the business asked them all to leave threatening to call the police and profusely apologized to me saying, “I observed the entire situation and you were calm, cool, and collected, offering substance in the conversation and they responded in rage and I feared for your safety.”

            I was carrying on a conversation with an acquaintance about the situation in Washington and how it disturbed me that the Republicans appeared to be caving as well as how little defense they were offering but how vicious the Democrats were including the President toward them.  As we discussed the matter, we thought privately, off to one side this individual charged in screaming saying, “It is on the news how the Republican Tea Baggers are holding the government hostage, wanting to destroy the government, take away all our food stamps, health care, want us to breath dirty water, eat bad food, and not be able to have jobs.”  That is when my aforementioned response came and the ensuing attack that I received.

             Folks, it does not matter if a Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Constitutionalist, Socialist, Communist, Atheist, Muslim, or Christian says something THAT DOES NOT MAKE IT RIGHT.  Just because it is on the internet, in the newspaper, on the television, in the movies or comes from the Oval Office, the floor of either, Houses of Congress or the Supreme Court THAT DOES NOT MAKE IT FACTUAL.  It simply means that it is being reported and I follow the prescription, as best I can, of finding out for myself if it is true or not.  I don’t automatically swallow what the GOP, Fox News, the Blaze, Rush, Sean, Mark Levin, or any other personality says – – I WANT TO KNOW THE FACTS!   I have made mistakes and believed that something was factual without fully examining the facts and have had to back track.  I didn’t enjoy that, not solely because I was wrong but because I likely misled someone else. 

            I am a follow of God, the God of the Christian Bible and in His book He directs us to seek TRUTH.  We are told in Scripture to ‘hear the conclusion of the whole matter’ before rendering a judgment.  Paul commended the Berean Christians in Acts 17 saying that they were ‘more noble’ than those in Thessalonica for the simple reason that they received the message gladly and then examined the Scriptures daily to check out what the apostle was saying.  Paul had no fear of his words being examined and neither should we.  Truth will bear up under the light and every postulation should be held to the light to see if it is valid.

             The name calling and fear mongering that has been and is taking place in Washington, the intentional inflicting of pain economically and emotionally being demanded and inflicted by this Administration, and the refusal to sit down and talk rationally, sensibly, above partisanship is DISGUSTING.  I’ve seen more polls than I care to remember over the past few months and it seems that the polls that are not skewed toward a particular ideology, all indicate that a vast majority of the voting public is FED UP WITH GOVERNMENT as it now exists, and that touches the Republicans, Democrats, and the sitting President.  I know that reflects my personal views!  The Republicans have let me down!  The Democrats have assaulted that which I hold dear, the Constitution, Freedom, and America!  The President appears to have an agenda that if it were fully exposed would send shock waves of horror through every patriotic American!  Yet, they play games with words, and politics and WE THE PEOPLE are the ones who suffer.  For Mr. Obama and the Democrats to turn a blind eye to the fiscal problems of this government is criminal.  For the Republicans to participate in the perpetuation of this fraud is criminal.  There are so few politicians today, in Washington, who even remotely appears to be interested in the Constitution, and the people.  I almost feel like Diogenes of Sinope also known as Diogenes the Cynic walking about with a lantern supposedly looking for ‘an honest man’ I am looking for ‘an honest politician.’  I fear that as Diogenes reportedly failed I most assuredly will in my named pursuit. 

            But, I will not give up hope.  I will not throw in the towel.  I will not surrender. I will, as long as I draw breath and have the ability to write, defend America, Freedom, and Free Enterprise.  If America was worth the cost to establish in 1776 it is worth fighting for to preserve in the 2000’s.  God help us if we do not stand for something!

            Why do we have so many seeking exemptions and that includes Congress and their staff being subsidized?  WHY?  Because Affordable Healthcare or “OBAMACARE” is neither affordable, efficient, or better that what now exists.  It will not cover EVERYONE.  We will still have millions UNINSURED.  Dr. Ben Carson had a much better approach as have some of the Republican plans and even many Democrats recognize this disaster and the damage it is doing and will do to ‘health insurance’ and ‘health care’ in America.  It, like so many things out of Washington, is misnamed and the name misrepresents what it is all about.  It is not about ‘health insurance’ or ‘health care’ it is ultimately about CONTROL.  This monster, even when read, is terribly difficult to completely understand all the ramifications.  But, when it is studied in detail putting line upon line and precept upon precept it is a NIGHTMARE!

             When the government gets involved in anything it seeks to ‘control’ that in which it is involved.  It wants to make the rules, regulations, issue mandates, and edicts that require a certain performance or pathway to be allowed to do or have what you seek.  In health care when a bureaucrat or board of bureaucrats begin to make decisions based solely on the ‘monetary’ through the lens of a ‘statistical table’ exclude the recommendation of the doctor or the desire of the patient it is of great concern.  No two people are the same in any situation including the contracting of a particular disease or ailment.  Age cannot be an exclusive factor in the decision making.  The reason we purchase ‘health insurance’ is so that we can be covered, at least partially, in the event of a health need.  We purchase insurance and some virtually never use it until the waning years of their lives and then need it to be able to live out their days with a reasonable quality of life.  For the government to decide that a person, say 70 years of age, is no longer a qualified candidate to receive cancer treatment, joint replacement, or by-pass surgery for heart conditions is nothing more than ‘legalized euthanasia’ and, to me, is comparable to that of the Nazi’s in WWII regarding the Jews, or Stalin in Russia, or Chairman Mao in China, or any other despot throughout history devaluing human life to the point that they can willingly and with emotional detachment see the lives of citizens snuffed out in the name of whatever they are pushing.

            The government has proven it is inefficient and inept in the ability to maintain our privacy via electronic data gathering such as the new mandate regarding medical records.  These records go so far beyond what is needed to evaluate our medical conditions and are shared across agencies that have no business seeing them or need for them unless they are to be used for some other more sinister plan.  I do not mean to throw in a conspiracy theory here but why do they need to share these, and why do they need all the information they are seeking?  It is beyond the need to determine the medical condition and propose a treatment plan.  That is a quote from two of my doctors.  Sadly, most of my doctors are feverishly making plans to get out of the medical field due to what they anticipate being the full impact of ‘The Affordable Health Care Act’ aka OBAMACARE.  They detest what is happening and feel that their oath of service as a provider of medical care is being infringed and they will no longer be practitioners of medicine but simply pill dispensers as per the dictate of the federal government’s panel which Sarah Palin aptly named, “Death Panels.”

             You may be uninsured, and have pre-existing conditions that make it difficult for you to receive ‘health insurance’ and my heart hurts for you, but is that reason to totally destroy the health care industry?  There are better ways to handle this situation.  The need is for a much more diligent and extensive means of evaluating people’s situation.  Is a person without health insurance because they choose not to pay the high price they would have to pay?  Is a person without health care because of pre-existing conditions?  Why are they without insurance?  I do not have time to list all the possible ways of handling this situation but we need to completely transform them Medicaid System, Welfare System, Disability Program, and even work on the Social Security System while maintaining the integrity and continuity of what the seniors now on Social Security are receiving and those soon to be on the program.  Medicare is also is serious need of work to make it efficient.  Then we come to the VA and many other programs of government but in HEALTH CARE alone we can do some things other than provide Barack Obama with some disastrous piece of legislation that he can try to hang his hat on as a landmark and signature piece of legislation that he got passed for his ‘so-called’ legacy.

             America has had one of the best health care systems in the modern world but that is rapidly changing and we are already seeing delays in care as well as denial of care based on what this law mandates and what is anticipated it is going to require.  As a Christian I have confidence in God to care for His children.  We are moving to a time when health care will once again be relegated to home remedies and the life span of people will decrease outside of God providing the miracle of healing for them.  Even those who are uninsured today can go to the Emergency Room and the law mandates that they be seen.  It is costing us billions if not trillions and the idea of a ‘Health Savings Account’ from birth is an idea that I would like to see much more study on.  A   Health Savings Account that is bequeathable!  

            I make no claim to having all the answers, I only know that the “Affordable Health Care Act’ aka OBAMACARE is not it.  I know that if it were all it was purported to be there would be ZERO exemptions rather than the hundreds if not thousands that are already issued.  Congress would not be running away from it for themselves and their staff.  It is escalating cost for individuals, costing jobs, hours, and the well-being of millions while failing to achieve what was promised.  That, in my view, makes it a very bad law and one that should be repealed but will not be with the current administration and congress of today.

            I may be wrong but I believe that the first use of describing America as a “Melting Pot” was in the writings of J. Hector St. John de Crevecoeur in his “Letters from an American Farmer” in 1782.  It has been used by politicians, historians, and critics of the American culture and our view of and response to immigrants coming to this nation almost from the beginning of the United States of America as a nation.  If America is a “Melting Pot” then much of current multi-cultural and politically correct politics are in grave error, and I believe that to be the case.  But, is America truly a “Melting Pot”?

            A “Melting Pot” implies and demands that varied products or even similar products be placed in the pot and melted down forming a totally new product.  That new product is a singular product not a hyphenated one.  It is unique and transforms the product derived from its former identity into the identity of the new product.  It is not a ‘cooking pot’ for that would leave room for the hyphenation such as ‘beef-stew, chicken-gumbo’ or something else to be used.  It would be more akin to taking ore whether that is identified as Italian ore, German ore, French ore, British ore, African ore, or any ore and forming STEEL.  It is not Italian-steel, German-steel; French-steel it is STEEL.  In the case of America we are supposed to be a nation in which people of various nationalities or ethnicities come and are placed into the MELTING POT and become AMERICANS.  They are not Irish-Americans, German-Americans, Greek-Americans, or African-Americans they are AMERICANS.  I would suggest that the only group that has a legitimate justification to be identified using descriptors would be those who were here before the rest of our ancestors arrived and that would be the American Indian or Native Americans. 

            Although I am a quarter Cherokee I do not choose to be identified by that descriptor.  I am not ashamed of it because it is who I am.  The major national heritage from which I descend would be Scottish-Irish but I do not choose to be identified with those hyphenations I am an AMERICAN and that requires no hyphenation.  My ancestors came to this country, entered the MELTING POT and came out AMERICANS.  They assimilated into the culture which was vastly different from theirs and did not choose to be identified by hyphenations they have, so far as I can discover, always been proud to be identified as AMERICANS. 

            The problem today with our multiculturalism and politically correct society is that we suggest that we should move this nation away from being a ‘melting pot’ into being more of a ‘salad bowl’ where each ethnicity or nationality maintains its unique labeling and culture without assimilating into the new product and become AMERICAN.  If that is the case, then why come to America?  If there was not a willingness to be transformed into something new and become a fully assimilated and functioning unit of what was established in 1776 and subsequently, why come?  If America is not to be unique as are other countries including those from which the immigrants come, why have a national identity?  I believe that is what the progressives and liberals are seeking, world citizenship not national citizenship.  They want a world without borders, national identities, or national sovereignty.  They want a world that is under a solitary ruler with a governing body that destroys all national sovereignty and subjects the world to the rules and laws of the select elite body of rulers that determine our fate.  I do not support that! 

            Only in the Kingdom of God can I accept ‘one rule’ and that being GOD ALMIGHTY Himself.  Only under the dominion of the Lord Jesus Christ can I lose my national identity or ethnicity.  But with regard to human governments and nations, I would never ask nor desire that France, England, Spain, Germany, Mexico, or any other nation give up its borders or culture.  I do not ask that those immigrating to America lose contact with their heritage or culture and have no problem with them celebrating it, but ask that they become AMERICANS not hyphenated Americans. 

            America can only be strong when the peoples of this nation are ONE.  We do not have to agree on everything.  We can be vastly different in our political, social, or religious beliefs, but with regard to national identity we must become one and that is AMERICAN!  I realize that some will not agree with this and find it objectionable and possibly offensive and that is not my purpose.  My purpose is to call for everyone now citizens of this nation and those desiring to become citizens to also commit to being AMERICAN.  If you cannot take pride in being called an AMERICAN then why be one?  If you are more concerned about your hyphenation identifier than being an AMERICAN then why use American at all?

             This nation was founded and our independence secured through the valiant efforts of men and women who were willing to put it all on the line to provide a nation that would be FREE and allow people to come from all nations of the world and with LIBERTY, pursue their faith, fortune or as is in our founding document ‘Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.’  Be proud of your ancestral heritage and learn about that culture but if you are a citizen or want to be of the United States of America then be an AMERICAN!  I acknowledge that we have work to do on many fronts.  I acknowledge that we have made errors in the past and will in the future.  However, AMERICA was supposed to be a “Melting Pot” and if she is that she can remain strong and free, if she becomes nothing more than a ‘Salad Bowl’ she will eventually become non-existent.

             If you love AMERICA then please pray for this nation, labor for the restoration of our Constitutional Freedoms and Liberties, and become responsible owners and overseers of our government.  It is to be a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people.”  The Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and Bill of Rights still focuses on WE THE PEOPLE so let us return to being THE PEOPLE who determine our future!  The challenge is monumental and will not be achieved in a year, a decade, or possibly a century but it is achievable if we become a people COMMITTED, ASSIMILATED, and DETERMINED.
