YOU CAN’T SLEEP THROUGH THIS ONE…


BLOG POST 5 - Sleeping

Everyone who knows me or has read the things I write knows that I openly declare my belief in God and that I am a Christian.  You also know that I am a veteran, a proud American, and a constitutional conservative who believes in interpreting the constitution from an originalist view.  Therefore, as I address the statement in my title know that I will include my biblical perspective in what I say.

I have lived on this planet a long time, in the view of some, and having grown up in the 50’s and 60’s witnessed some incredible changes in our world.  However, someone having grown up in the 80’s and 90’s could say the same thing because the transition has become so rapid it is difficult to stay abreast of what is happening.  The forces at work to “fundamentally transform” or “totally destroy” our republic and “transform” the world into one that embraces their anti-God, anti-capitalism and anti-national sovereignty have become incredibly bold and active.  I have often wondered about this phenomenon and how they are able to advance their agenda so easily and rapidly.  I have even asked God why?  As a result of musing on the matter, talking to scores of people, reading extensively, and praying earnestly I have come to a singular conclusion that, I believe, is at the top of the list of WHY.  What I am going to advance will resonate with some and receive the scorn of others, but it is what I believe.  My prayer and hope are that what I say will cause you to look inward and outward and realize the need as well as the opportunity.

My title should have suggested what I believe to be at the top of the list of causes for the conditions in our nation and world.  I am convinced that one of the major reasons we are in the condition we are in is APATHY or SLUMBER.  I see that on more than one front and would say that “We Have Been Asleep” and while we slept the enemy crept in and has sown tares in our wheat, robbed our chicken coops, and stolen our republic.  For too long, we (Americans) have taken a “live and let live” attitude toward government.  It seems that so long as the “entitlement checks” keep coming, and the politicians do not do anything that “directly” affects us we have been blasé in our attitude which has allowed the fox to raid the hen house without detection or resistance.

BLOG POST 5 - Midnight Cry

There were some significant shifts in political attitude in Washington back in the late 40’s that manifested itself in a much more significant manner in the 60’s and at the turn of this century that train was barreling down the track almost unstoppable.  I don’t know if the strain of WWII moved us to a more individualistic attitude and one where we wanted to just be left alone or if there was more, but that surfaced in a noticeable way in the late 40’s.  In the 60’s the Baby Boomer Generation had become so adamantly “anti-establishment” and determined to throw off restraints that we ignored government and pursued our personal interests which were sometimes simply to get stoned and party.  Without the watchful eye of the public and because many were focused on what the Baby Boomers were doing they ignored the politicians and those who sought to “transform” and “revise” the American republic saw and seized their opportunity.  America was, in a great sense in a deep sleep trying to sleep it off hoping that tomorrow would return us to normal or restore our founding moral moorings.  Tomorrow didn’t come but we slept on.

However, there is an even larger problem, in my view, and that is the Church has been ASLEEP and when the church sleeps evil gains ground.  When evil gains ground it affects every aspect of life especially the political.  In Matthew 25, Jesus followed His discussion of the Last Days in Matthew 24 with the Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins.  The Jewish wedding was not like our Western weddings.  The groom had to build a honeymoon place at his home or father’s home and once it was completed would go get his bride and take her to his house for the ceremony.  That might occur anytime in a seven day period and could occur in the middle of the night.  Jesus spoke of the 10 virgins and described 5 as wise who took the lamps and extra oil and 5 who only had their lamps with the oil in them.  In the middle of the night, the cry or call came, “The Bridegroom is coming!”  All the virgins arose from sleep and went out.  The 5 foolish realized they were not prepared and asked the prepared ones to share their oil, but that was not possible because the oil represent the Spirit of God and I cannot give you my portion of the Spirit you have to receive it directly.  The issue was, they were sleeping and half of them were unprepared and in a real sense caught unaware.  They could have prepared and been ready but they underestimated the need.  I believe the Church, has largely been in a state of slumber, and not been on the job as lights shining in the darkness.  Too many churches have ceased seeking the oil of the Spirit of God and since they lived in relative peace and were doing well financially and numerically they stopped warning and watching.  When the Church or Christians are silent evil expands and grows bold.  When Churches and Christians fall asleep during their watch the enemy sneaks by the sentry post and entrenches itself within the city.  That has happened in America and the result is incredibly bad politically, socially, morally, relationally, and even economically.

The problem or a significant problem that occurs when the Church is silent regarding the evils of government, government moves toward the tyrannical.  When they Church is willingly or forcibly rendered silent, bad government expands and the moral moorings of the nation drift away from those basic principles upon which America was established and have kept us strong for almost two and one-half centuries.  I remember traveling once and another person took the wheel to drive while I caught a few winks.  I woke up an hour later and we were 50 miles off course and headed in the wrong direction.  We missed a critical turn because I was sleeping not navigating.  We have some troubled waters to navigate today, in America, and if we continue to SLEEP THROUGH IT we will wake up and find our nation no longer our nation and our freedom no longer freedom.  GOD HELP US!

What I believe is about to happen is two-fold.  I believe God is about to send the Midnight Cry and many are going to awaken.  The result of that will be a revival and move of God like we have never witnessed.  It will be the End Time Harvest the Bible predicts.  Sadly, if this Parable is reflective of what will happen at least half the Church will be unprepared and that is tragic.  The other thing I believe is that simultaneously there is going to be such a catastrophic event(s) launched from hell that is going to rock the world and make 9/11 look like a small thing.  Evil is going to be loosed on such a scale the world will tremble and at the same time the Church is going to wake up.  Had we not been sleeping we could have prevented much of what has transpired but we know, from the Bible that the Last Days are going to be both treacherous and tremendous.  We are in the condition in America we face today because WE SLEPT and were MUTE when we should have been SOUNDING THE ALARM!

That which is coming, the good and the evil, will not be something we can sleep through and remain disinterested.  It will destroy the idea that embodied in “Separation of Church and State”.  Americans, Christians, Patriots, and lovers of Freedom if we do not awaken now, we may find that our lamps are lacking enough oil and suffer unnecessary consequences and subject others to undue suffering.  The time is now to AWAKEN OUT OF SLEEP!  We need to do that spiritually, politically, morally, socially, and relationally.

REMEMEMBER NOVEMBER!  God bless you and God bless America.  I know and believe that as the last chapter of the book reveals – WE WIN in the END as followers of Christ!  WE CAN SALVAGE THE REPUBLIC if we Wake Up, Stand Up, Speak Up, and Step Up involving ourselves in the process and battle for Freedom! 

 

THE MURDEROUSNESS of the Religion of Peace…


BLOG POST 1 - Terrorism

That title alone will probably get me booted from various social media sites and further ensure that my name remains on the ‘watch lists’ of this administration.  I am a small fish but they have demonstrated a willingness to sacrifice small fish in their efforts to promote their liberal agenda.  A prime example would be Benghazi where they arrested and imprisoned a person for an obscure video to promote their lie about the cause of the act of terrorism that cost four (4) American lives in Libya.  They needed to divert the attention to the truth to prevent any negative press or views that might cost Barack Obama a second term.  Therefore, I proceed knowing that my advancement of truth is dangerous but I also believe it is vital that we expose that which needs to be exposed and warn against that which needs a warning.

We know that just prior to the onset of the Ramadan, the Islamic religious practice, various Imams, and ISIS called for Muslims worldwide to carry out acts of terrorism and vowed that this would be “the month of conquest and jihad.”  They encouraged MURDEROUSNESS in the name of their Religion and to be during the time of the religious festival known as Ramadan.  According to what I can determine they believe that sacrifice during this time is considered more valuable than any sacrifice made at other times. Therefore, martyrdom during the month-long festival holds a powerful allure to the Islamic Terrorist.  Their month of Ramadan ran from June 5th to July 5th and according to their beliefs it was during this month that their god revealed the first verses of the Qur’an to Mohammed, on a night known as “The Night of Power.”  But, not to get into their beliefs only to reference the blood-letting they called for and have carried out as clear examples of the Murderousness of their Religion of Peace, making it anything but a Peaceful Religion.  For all Muslims who claim this is not the religion taught in the Qur’an, I call upon you to actively and openly CONDEMN the practice, call out the Imam’s and take definitive action to bring the perpetrators and instigators to justice.  Until you do, I can only assume you agree with the call and philosophy behind the call for MURDER and MAYHEM.

We have seen attacks in Orlando, Afghanistan, Kenya, Lebanon, Istanbul, and Bangladesh.  I am not sure there have not been others or other targets, that for one reason or another failed but those are sufficient to highlight the murderousness of the terrorist.  We must never forget they are doing their deeds in the name of their religion and at the behest of their religious teachers the Imams and ISIS.  It is not done in a vacuum.  They are not hiding or attempting to hide their religious zeal but wearing it like a badge of honor.  At the same time, they are openly proclaiming their commitment to their religion the American President and Left are working laboriously to ensure that we do not identify the real issue or problem.  No, this administration and the Left are making it about “gun control” not “terrorism.”  This president proclaims with reverence the virtues of Islam while denouncing the evils (as he perceives them) of Christianity.  He wants to label those of us who follow the Bible as evil and those who follow Islam as good.  Something is terribly wrong with that view and it comes from an individual who declares he is a Christian.  A skunk can call itself a domesticated housecat but it won’t remove the glands filled with that horrible smell.  I can only evaluate a fruit tree by the fruit I see hanging from its branches.

 BLOG POST 1 - Terrorism

If you will recall, during Ramadan in 2015 the Islamic jihadist carried out attacks against France, Syria, Kuwait, Somalia, and Tunisia.  Since declaring its caliphate in June 2014, the Islamic State has inspired at least 90 acts of terrorism in 21 countries other than Iraq and Syria.  The result is at least 1,390 dead and over 2,000 wounded.  If that does not get your attention and causes you to realize that the Murderousness of this so-called Religion of Peace is not abating as this administration would have us believe.  They are not contained and most assuredly not the Junior Varsity Team Mr. Obama proclaimed.  They are a cancerous blight on humanity and radical surgery is required to deal with this problem. 

Again, I call upon all followers of this religion, if you want us to accept you as a peaceable religion that exhibits tolerance, do something!  You must immediately denounce those committing and calling for these types of acts.  You must immediately take action to bring the perpetrators and instigators to justice.  You must modify your Sharia to allow tolerance and freedom of religion in your communities and countries.  Until you do so, I cannot call you a religion of peace but will continue to identify the murderousness of the jihadist who proclaim they are acting in accordance with your book and following the directives of your religious leaders and teachers.

America, there are many problems in the world and ignoring the source of this kind of terrorism and attempting to blame everything except the true source will only enhance and embolden those who follow this ideology.  If we want to protect America we must not allow the Liberal Left to continue dictating the policy with regard to terrorism and our War with the jihadist.  Therefore, please pray earnestly about the elections in November and I believe as you examine the record, study the facts, you will conclude we cannot afford Hillary Clinton and the ideology of the Leftist and Liberals.

THE NON-RELIGION RELIGION of Liberalism…


BLOG POST 1 - Liberalism Moochers

I have contended for a long time that liberals have and are a religion of their own.  They worship their ideas and ideals and are as intolerant as the Islamists when anyone disagrees.  The difference, for the most part, is they don’t literally behead people for not bowing at their altar they do so in other ways including an attempt to totally silence, censor, and destroy the dissenters emotionally and financially.  When I read Ann Coulter’s statement in her book, “Godless”, published in 2006, “If a Martian landed in America and set out to determine the nation’s official state religion, he would conclude it is Liberalism, while Christianity and Judaism are prohibited by law.”  Her argument and mine are that Liberalism is truly the state-sanctioned religion and it is a godless one.

I believe that America has evolved even further in just ten years since Coulter’s assertion to a condition where Liberalism is not simply the state-sanctioned religion but the state-mandated religion in many respects.  In a very real sense, Christianity is becoming illegal via the actions and edicts of the federal government and federal courts.  Yes, I know we are not, for the most part, carted off to jail for practicing our Christian religion but we are assaulted when our practice runs afoul of the desired mandate of Liberalism.  Do I really need to cite the recent examples where people are literally put out of business for standing by their biblical convictions?

BLOG POST 1 - Liberalism Definition

Liberalism, as a philosophy, would argue that it is not, in fact, a religion but it sure has the characteristics of one.  Coulter went further and declared that the Church of Liberalism’s sacraments includes abortion, its clergy is largely the public school system and teachers, and its churches are none other than government schools where prayer is banned and condoms are free.  Can I ask, if anyone truly thinks that handing out condoms to hormone raging young boys while steering them away from God, prayer, and moral convictions is a good idea?  In fact, recent studies conducted by the government after years of free condoms has discovered that instead of a reduction in teen pregnancy and STD’S in teens there has been an increase.  So much for the Church of Liberalisms insistence that we ban God and invite promiscuity.  How has that worked out for us?

BLOG POST 1 - OFFENDING LIBERALS

You dare not oppose their agenda or the agenda of the LGBT lest you face the political and financial firing squad.  You will likely become a target of the IRS among other federal agencies and find life most difficult or increasingly more difficult.  Liberals demand tolerance but they are among the most intolerant people on the planet.  Their push has been further and further away from moral principles as declared in the Bible as they press their godless agendas.  In fact, this president has encouraged the indoctrination of our youth encouraging them as did Hitler’s youth to be spies and report, even their parents if they violate the Liberal Mantra and Mandates.  I do believe the Bible spoke to that in Matthew 10:36, “…a man’s enemies will be those of his own household.”  Argue the context all you desire but we are living in a time when brother is turning against brother as is described in verse 21 of that same chapter.

BLOG POST 1 - LIBERALISM FACTS

When you find Federal Judges ruling that parents are not allowed to opt out of LGBT indoctrination for their preschool children we have a serious problem.  The Bible places the onus of parenting on parents, not the community or government.  We have the declaration of this administration’s Department of Justice that they would aggressively prosecute anyone speaking ill of Islam but no mention of doing the same for anyone attempting to defame Christianity or the Bible.  We know the scandals including the use of the IRS to target any and all supposed conservative groups in an attempt to silence any opposing message to that of Liberalism.  The current state of the Democrat Party is that it should be called the Church of Liberalism rather than Democratic.  The religion of the non-religious is visible and becoming more and bolder as time marches on.

BLOG POSt 1 - In God We TRust

I am totally convinced that were Hillary Clinton to be elected the next President of these United States of America the push of Liberalism for Total Control of our Lives will escalate exponentially.  Many, in America, are so beaten down by liberalism they have surrendered and are now willing to bow at the Altar of Liberalism.  Liberalism blames those of us who are God-fearing, Bible-believing, and Constitutional Originalist as the enemy and people to be silenced at all costs.  We are seeing and will see ever increasing persecuting and discrimination against anyone unwilling to bow at the Altar of Liberalism in the days to come regardless of who is President but it will ten times worse if Hillary Clinton wins the election.  Therefore, in my desire to see America restored to our founding principles and return to being the Constitutional Republic I can only take my stance as a NEVER HILLARY advocate.  I personally am unwilling to bow at the Altar of the Church of Liberalism, Islam or any religion not rooted in God’s Word, the Bible.  I will continue to stand for FAITH, FAMILY, and Freedom!

DEMOCRATS and REPUBLICANS, ELECTIONS and AMERICA…


BLOG POST 7 - WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT US

What I’m going to write about is not original for I am not the first to touch on the subject or broach the question but when we look at the Democrats, Republicans, and Presidential Elections I have to ask what does our current political climate and condition say about us?  When I consider who the Democrats and Republicans have nominated since Dwight Eisenhower and John F. Kennedy, I notice some consistent patterns and it disturbs me greatly.

I believe that Dwight Eisenhower and John F. Kennedy both loved America and wanted what was best for the nation.  I may or may not have agreed with their political ideologies or strategies all the time but I believe they both believed in the Constitution and in America.  After those Presidents, I cannot say that with complete confidence.  In fact, my observation, with possibly one or two exceptions is that the pattern of nominees from the Democrats has been of the same ilk regarding character and the Republicans have offered people largely opposite.  Yet, the Democrats, since, George H.W. Bush have, with one exception, defeated the Republicans while offering candidates of questionable character.  How can that be?  I believe it says more about America and Americans than the political parties.

George H.W. Bush was a terrible disappointment because he violated his campaign promises on more than one issue but especially on his “read my lips” promise regarding no new taxes.  His failures opened the door to a man that was a known philanderer and had a history of incredibly dark and questionable associations and involvements in his political life.  Yet, he (Clinton) defeated Bush and we endured two terms even with him demonstrating his propensity for lascivious behavior and questionable actions to cover his exploits that endangered and harmed America.  Of course, his 2nd term came at the expense of the sacrificial lamb, Bob Dole the Republicans offered knowing he had about as much chance inspiring voters as a snowball would surviving hell’s flames.

In the next cycle, the Republicans nominated a man perceived by many as a dolt and cowboy but one whose message and personality resonated with millions.  George W. Bush won two terms and then the Democrats once again offered us a man of incredibly questionable character whose most significant claim to electability was his ethnicity, not qualifications.  He was closely associated with domestic terrorist and the Chicago mob-based Democrat Political Machine and Money People.  He was mentored by none other than Frank Marshall Davis, a card-carrying communist who hated America and everything about Western culture and government.  One of his (Barack Obama’s) inspirations was Saul Alinksy, who declared in his book ‘Rules for Radicals’ that the book was dedicated to “the very first radical”, Lucifer.  Alinsky also said, “In a fight, almost anything goes.  It almost reaches a point where you stop to apologize if a blow lands above the belt.”  Barack Obama has followed the Alinsky model to the letter including calling Republicans “enemies” and inviting Paul Ryan to a speech for the sole purpose of attacking him in public, knowing it was a direct violation of federal law and daring anyone to stop him.  A federal judge in Texas took him up on his challenge even though four of the Supreme Court Justices would have allowed him to do whatever with no consideration of the laws.  STILL, the public voted him in not once but twice and anyone who opposed or opposes him is labeled a racist or something equally derogatory.

BLOG POST 7 - Qualifications

Sadly, the Democrats have demonstrated a consistent propensity to nominate people of questionable and even evil character and the Republicans nominate people who are not so tainted in their personal lives, political ideology and demonstrate a heart or love for America and the Constitution and still lose.  How can this be?  In this election we have an individual being nominated by the Democrats who has brazenly lied to the American people repeatedly about Benghazi, her emails, her associations and dealings with foreign governments and shady characters, the Clinton Slush-Fund Foundation and pilfering millions from various sources for their personal and political benefit disregarding the law, moral rightness, and the American Constitution. Although the FBI has refused to recommend criminal charges for criminal activity they did say that she was “EXTREMELY CARELESS”.  Is that what we want for President?  EXTREME CARELESSNESS or GROSS NEGLIGENCE?  Yes, that is what we get from Washington but we are talking about the next President.  I won’t say that Donald Trump is of impeccable character but I do believe that he loves America and wants what is best for the nation.  His ideas may or may not all be right or even possible but there is a distinct difference between Mr. Trump and Mrs. Clinton.  It seems that over the past few elections or since John F. Kennedy between the Democrat and Republican candidates we have one party offering us corrupt and even diabolical candidates and still winning.  “How can this be?”   YET, America keeps electing the Democrats with no seeming regard for character.  What does that say about us?

I believe we are facing and have faced for some time, a very deep moral issue in our nation.  We have drifted from our founding principles and the principles of morality and rightness to a self-centeredness and entitlement mentality that is destroying our nation.  We have reached the place that character in politics is meaningless and we have virtually sold our souls for benefits and entitlements or fear of being branded with a negative characterization by the Politically Correct Society in which we now live.

We need to return to God and 2 Chronicles 7:14 is a plea that is needed in our present America.  You may totally disagree about the need to return to God but as a Christian, I believe that if we fail to restore our moral moorings we will completely and irrevocably lose this Republic.  More reasons to remember November and consider what is at risk in allowing Hillary Clinton ascending to the Oval Office.

LET ME ASK THE TABOO QUESTION…


BLOG POST 4 - Taboo

Taboo question?  What could you be talking about, Roy?  The faith or lack thereof of President Barack Obama.  The question:  “If Barack Obama is a Christian, as he claims and is not a Muslim as his supporters claim, why?”  Why, what?  Why the inconsistencies and the repeated denigration of Christians and Christianity, the misquoting and misapplying Scripture, and the incessant defense of Islam?

If Barack Hussein Obama is, in fact, a Christian and why would he be so incensed at any criticism of Islam or Muslims but have no problem with criticism of and attacks on Christianity?  Why would he continually defend a religion and a book of religion that is diametrically opposite of the Bible, the teachings of Jesus and Christianity?  What is it about his beliefs that make Islam so beautiful and Christianity so ugly?  Why would he seem to look for opportunities to condemn the Crusades of bygone eras and not decry the atrocities of Islam and Muslims through the centuries?  Why would he demand that we tolerate and not speak negatively about the actions of Muslims or question Islam but not demand the same from Muslims and followers of Islam?  WHY?  That is a very important question and one we probably cannot fully answer but, in my view, a very valid question and one that should demand answers.

Barack Hussein Obama in his speech before the United Nations General Assembly on September 25, 2012, regarding the death of U.S. Ambassador Christ Stevens and three other Americans during the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, attempted to make a YouTube video about Muslims the culprit and cause.  In that speech he declared, “The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.”  I realize that he spoke about other things as well, but that statement is a classic demand of Muslims worldwide and used as a justification for their terrorism.  They believe they are directed by their god to slaughter anyone who speaks negatively about their prophet.  Where is the condemnation for that view, which is a core teaching of their book!

Barack Hussein Obama in an interview called the Muslim call to prayer, “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.”  He then recited the opening lines of the Arabic call to prayer with a first-rate accent.  He has declared, “We will convey our deep appreciation for the Islamic faith, which has done so much over the centuries to shape the world – including my own country.”  What country is that Mr. Obama?  It is most assuredly not the United States of America as history and research will clearly reveal.  He declared, “As a student of history, I also know civilization’s debt to Islam.”  What debt is that?  What contributions has Islam given in science, literature, or human relations?  He also said, “Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance.”  I had to laugh when I heard that because tolerance and beheading anyone who disagrees makes his statement contradictory, but I am not viewing Islam through rose colored glasses or with a bias to accept, promote or defend it.  I am looking what its followers do and say.

BLOG POST 4 - Duck

One of the most shocking and revealing statements of Barack Hussein Obama was, “Whatever we once were, we are no longer a Christian nation.”  He also declared in 2009, “If you actually took the number of Muslims in America, we’d be one of the largest Muslim nations in the world.”  Using CIA and other reports it would seem that if you took the 60 most populous Muslim states, America would rank 58th.  Yet, with the CIA Factbook reporting that less than 1% of the U.S. population is Muslim, why is there such demand that we allow them to practice Sharia Law in communities in direct violation of the U.S. Constitution and existing American laws?  Why is there such an insistence that we TOLERATE the Islamic community but no demand for RECOPRICAL acceptance and tolerance?  The question looms large as more and more acts of Islamic terrorism occur in America and more and more pressure to accept and tolerate Sharia Law is placed on society.  Why?

America’s founding fathers did not incorporate principles of Islam but the Bible and Christianity in our founding documents.  America may not be genuinely a Christian nation but we are most assuredly not a Muslim nation.  Barack Hussein Obama may not be a Muslim or a practicing one, but he certainly is overly concerned with defending them at the expense of America and Americans.  Why? 

When a president can become more indignant at the presumptive nominee of the opposing party than the murdering Islamic terrorist, I have to ask why?  When the president can blame Christians, Republicans, Conservatives, and the NRA more than the murdering Islamic terrorist, I have to ask why?  When the president who has taken an oath of office to Protect and Defend the U.S. Constitution and whose job is to protect America citizens but can blame Americans for the evils of Islamic jihadist and insist we are the cause rather than condemn the evils of the ideology, religion, and philosophy they espouse, I have to ask why?  No, I do not have all the answers, or maybe any of the answers but the old adage comes to mind, “If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, acts like a duck, and swims like a duck it just might be a duck.”   If he loves America and wants to “protect and defend” her against all enemies both foreign and domestic, why the persistent defense of Islam?  Mr. President, I’d really like an honest answer to those questions.   After almost eight years of this administration’s destructive policies can we seriously consider another administration that would perpetuate or expand those policies?  My answer and prayer are simple – NO!  So, I urge you to carefully think about the cost of Hillary Clinton becoming President.  I believe the cost is too great!

Most of you agree with me that NO ONE is or should be above the Law but clearly, this administration and the Clinton history indicates they either have enough power, know enough dirt, or are feared enough to escape the long arm of the law and justice.  I have heard from several criminal prosecuting attorneys and judges and to a person, they are stunned, for a legal perspective, at FBI Directory James Comey’s explanation of what and why regarding Hillary Clinton’s email issue.  I would call it a scandal but apparently not so for the Democrats, the FBI or the DOJ now we have to wait for the American people to weigh in and that won’t come until November.  I wish I could say was hopeful that America would soundly reject her but history indicates the strong possibility of that not being the case.  I am stunned at my nation, appalled at the corruption in government, and disgusted with what is happening. 

The FBI Director, a former U.S. Attorney, is not ignorant of the very laws he is ignoring to render this ruling.  I cannot believe he did so without coercion from those above him in the political food-chain and if he did, he has demonstrated zero qualifications or integrity to hold the job he now holds.  In his explanation of the situation regarding former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton he described her and her staff as being guilty of “extreme carelessness” which by virtually all legal definitions is “gross negligence” and worthy of indictment and prosecution.  But, not so says the FBI Director.  He deemed her not guilty of criminal wrong-doing because she did not “intend” to harm the United States or break the law.  Seriously?  That is a defense and justification for allowing someone who has placed our national security in jeopardy?  If that is the standard by which criminals are exonerated and excused from criminal charges we might as well close the courts and empty the jails because what criminal in their right mind would admit to intentionally breaking the law?

BLOG POST 4 - Classified

Under the U.S. Code, 18 U.S.C., section 793(f) Hillary Clinton should be indicted as follows, “Whoever, being entrusted with… any document relating to the national defense…through gross negligence permits the same to be removed from its proper place of custody… shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both.”  Wikipedia using layman’s wording defines “gross negligence” in this manner, “Gross negligence is a legal concept which means serious carelessness.”  Okay so the Director said “extreme” not “serious” but which is worse or are they the same?  Please don’t try to split hairs I have no tolerance for that right now.

From what I can discover the FBI documented 110 emails in 52 separate chains that were classified when they were sent or received.  Hillary said none of them were but the FBI said, “Sorry, they were, but no problem we’ll just overlook that reality.”  Intent should not be the issue but factual evidence of placing our national defense at risk, which she did.  Even if the documents were not marked “classified” and some of them clearly were.  We know EIGHT (8) of them were TOP SECRET, THIRTY-SIX (36) were SECRET and the remainder CLASSIFIED how could the supposedly imminently qualified Secretary of State not know the gravity of those emails?   This individual is supposedly the most qualified person to be President and I have to ask, “Do we really want ‘gross negligence’ or ‘extreme carelessness’ with a document regarding our national security to be in the hands of someone so careless or callous?”  If she has such low regard for the gravity and importance of those documents and her actions what would she be careless about as President?  How about our Nuclear Codes and the Football?  I shudder to think about that individual being the Commander in Chief.  May it never be!

BLOG POST 4 - dELETE

General David Petraeus was ridden out on a rail for what was, in the opinion of many, essentially pillow talk with his biographer.  Compare that with what the FBI Director said regarding Hillary’s actions and handling of classified information.  The Director apparently misinterpreted another statute other than 18 U.S.C. 793(f) where intent would be considered but not under this statute which is the one most legal expert’s state should have been used.  The Director made a most interesting statement saying, “To be clear, this is not to suggest in similar circumstances, a person who gauged this activity would gauge no consequences.  To the contrary, those individuals are often subject to security or administrative sanctions but that is not what we are deciding now.”  Mr. Director, exactly what were we deciding?  It appears that we were deciding that the presumptive Democrat nominee for President was above the law and the Democrats were unwilling to risk losing her were you to follow the prescribed law.

All this coming on the heels of Bill Clinton and Loretta Lynch’s supposed unscheduled and unplanned meeting and Hillary’s statement that she would certainly consider keeping Lynch as the Attorney General.  America, if we allow corrupt politicians to become TOO BIG TO JAIL we have surrendered our Republic to Tyranny.  If the American people allow Hillary Clinton to become the next President of the United States of America, go ahead and turn out the lights there is no party and the proverbial fat lady has already sung.  I have cried out a warning after warning about Hillary Clinton and still have people tell me they are willing to see her win to prove their point.  If she is elected and when not if she strips us of our constitutional rights, packs the Supreme Court and further damages our military and destroys our economy what will be the point that was being made?  We are facing more than a minor nuisance for four to eight years we are facing life or death of the Republic.  Many are firmly entrenched in the NEVER TRUMP movement but I have to ask “Are you sure that Trump is as bad or worse than Hillary?”  I have questions on numerous fronts regarding Donald Trump but I have NO QUESTIONS about Hillary Clinton.  She is not just wrong for America she is the enemy of America and I have no doubt her election would mean the completion of Barack Obama’s “total transformation”.  The Supreme Court would be an arm of the Leftist, our Constitutional Rights would be amended if not rescinded without due process, our economy further crushed, healthcare and so many other things pushed along the path of no return.  America WE CANNOT AFFORD a Hillary Clinton Presidency. That is my opinion and I stand by it.

BLOG POST 4 - Denial

This President wants us to believe that if we identify the Radical Islamic Terrorist as Islamic we legitimize, empower, and embolden them.  Hillary Clinton and the Democrats echo that chorus and sadly too many Republicans jump on the Politically Correct Bandwagon and lecture us about so-called Islamophobia.  ISIS and the Islamic Jihadist do not need our recognition to be considered a legitimate threat, they are!  They are not empowered by our identification of them, they are empowered by our denial of the problem. They are not emboldened by our refusal to call them what they are, they are emboldened because of the perceived weakness on our part.  No, Mr. President your denial is not advancing the war on terror nor is it weakening their position, influence, power, or danger.

This President has declared that Americans with guns are a greater threat than Islamic Terrorism or Terrorism. Wait?  He actually believes that those of us who own, keep and bear arms are Domestic Terrorist and a threat?  We are a threat, but only to the nefarious attempts to subvert our constitutional rights and liberties and attempts to so fundamentally transform America she is no longer the Free Constitutional Republic.  Therefore, in my view, He is an equal if not a greater threat to America and the world as ISIS or any Islamic jihadist.  His ideology is not just dangerous it is destructive.  He may believe he is acting in the best interest of America but he is tragically misguided if that is his true heart.

BLOG POST 4 - Denial 3

DENIAL is incredibly powerful and dangerous.  It can and often does cause people to ignore danger, problems, or solutions that are glaringly visible for all who will honestly view the situation.  It is said, and rightly so in some situations, the pen is mightier than the sword.  However, when facing an enemy with a weapon seeking to kill, maim, pillage, and destroy writing them a note, poem, or challenging their ideology and intent on paper will end in disaster for the one with the pen.  They will not only laugh at that approach it will, in all likelihood, infuriate them and cause them to seek to do more damage and destruction.  Peace is not achieved through coddling and appeasing the perpetrator or one waging war it is achieved by power, either killing enough of the enemy they accept defeat or demonstrating the ability to inflict sufficient damage they rethink their objective.  Peace is achieved through strength, not denial. 

Putting a piece of masking tape over the “check engine light” on the car’s dash will not remove the problem.  Repainting a wall where termites have eaten through the sheetrock will not remove the problem.  Refusing to go to the doctor when a deadly disease is suspected does not remove the disease.  NO, denial does not resolve the problem it usually makes the problem worse or leads to worse problems and the policy of denial regarding radical Islamic terror does not make it go away.  Denying the problems in the economy does not create jobs.  Denying the problems in Healthcare and Obamacare does not magically remove the problem.  Denying the problem of ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION does not instantly turn all the Illegals into Legal citizens and remove the danger and threat.  NO, it exacerbates and escalates the problem.

BLOG POST 4 - Denial 1

I know people who refuse to reign in their credit card spending denying the fact they do not have the funds to pay the bills when they arrive.  The end result is financial chaos.  I know people who deny a problem in their marriage or relationships somehow believing if they just deny and do not talk about it, the problem will somehow dissolve into thin air.  The result is often a divorce, not a resolution.  I consider denial living in an “Alternate Universe” that is completely devoid of reality and reason.  It is a “Fantasy World” and one that only produces sorrow, not victory or joy.  It is a place that millions have chosen to live politically in America and that Utopian Denial Fantasy has brought us to the brink of destruction as the Constitutional Republic.

The picture of the three monkeys, “See no evil, hear no evil, and speak no evil” and the “ostrich with its head in the sand” always comes to mind when I hear much of the rhetoric in the media and politics today.  Sadly, I hear it in churches as well, where some have adopted the philosophy that if we do not address the problems they do not exist.  THEY EXIST!  We must not only acknowledge the problem we must address the cause in order to find the remedy.  If we only see the problem and not the cause we will never discover the solution.  If you are traveling in uncharted territory, denying you are lost, will not make you any less lost, it will only exasperate you for a longer period of time.   You may eventually stumble on the right path but as I’ve heard all my life, “Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in a while.”  Solutions are arrived at when we acknowledge the problem or condition, discover the cause, and commit to the reasonable and rational remedy.  DENIAL brings DESTRUCTION.  It may leave a person with a sense of “false bliss” through ignorance but it will not lessen the danger or problem.

That is where we are in America and in the Elections of 2016, at every level, we must acknowledge the Problem or Condition, discover the cause, and embrace the remedy.  Every election is important.  America, we can no longer afford the luxury of denial we must find the remedy and that first begins with acknowledging the problem.

‘SPLAIN THIS TO ME, PLEASE…


BLOG Post - 'SPLAIN PLEASE

I didn’t say “explain” but ‘splain using a colloquialism from my East Texas roots and a story I heard of Bubba and Boudreaux discussing what they believed to be a complex issue.  Bubba was having difficulty comprehending the situation and said to Boudreaux, ‘SPLAIN THIS TO ME…”   What are you talking about, Roy?  Well, let me ‘SPLAIN it to you in, assuming that there is an explanation that does not defy sanity and reason.

BLOG POST - 1

Question number one:  “Why would anyone, President, Democrat, Republican, or average Joe American, take such pains to ensure that nothing is done to offend the Muslims?”  Why the excessive concern with the feelings of this particular group of people?  Why so much concern for their feelings and so little concern for the feelings or sensibilities of Christians or any other group?  ‘SPLAIN that, please.  The immediate answer from most is, they are protecting their own.  Okay, if that is not a valid argument, what is the answer or are there any other possibilities?

I had a devout liberal and Obama supporter attempt to explain to me the reasoning.  He argued the talking points of this administration that there is nothing radical, evil, or violent in Islam.  When I questioned some points in the Quran and the history of the Islamic prophet which included incredible violence, pedophilia, rape, human rights abuses, and the subjugation and suppression of all non-Muslims.  He attempted to argue that the Bible and Christians did the same thing.  Specifics were a problem for him other than to say repeatedly, “The crusades, the crusades, the crusades…”  When a book of religion calls for the slaughter of innocents and those they identify as infidels and identifies that act as “doing the bidding and service of Allah (their god)” it is difficult to disassociate violence from the body of their religion.  Islam, I would contend, is far more than just a religion it is a way of governance.  So, why, in the name of sanity and reason would anyone take such pains to ensure the followers of that philosophy and religion be protected from anything they might consider offensive?

That, in my mind, suggests that either those doing so are so fearful of the followers of Islam they tremble at the thought of offending them or they agree with their overall objective in the suppression of various nations, ethnicities, religious or political views.  If it is the latter it is sheer treason they are engaged and if it is the former we need a new set of leaders with courage and conviction to step forth and lead.  Either of those possibilities will ultimately lead to the systematic destruction of America and all Western values and governments.  If it is the latter and they somehow believe that after the destruction transpires they can “control” the Muslims they are more delusional than I have previously imagined.

BLOG POST - 2

Question number two:  “Why would so many, in America, believe or accept the rhetoric that by ignoring the problem we can solve the problem because the problem is not really the problem?”  Sorry for asking a convoluted question but I am quite serious.  WHY?  Well, we have had at least two if not three generations of people brainwashed and subjected to thought sanitization in our schools especially in the institutions of higher learning we might have a window through which to view the problem.  The radicals of the 60’s are now the professors in colleges and universities and some of them are occupying political offices at all levels of government.  Parents have, too often, been absent from the education of their children and not given regular refutation to the fabrication and lies concocted by the leftist about our history and life and they heard and over time believed what they heard.  We are in an “information society” but are so devoid of “information” it is frightening.  We have spin, rhetoric, various narratives, but FACTUAL INFORMATION is largely non-existent.  Thus, we have millions hearing something on the “news mediums”, reading something on the “internet” and listening to political spin and forming their opinions based on what they have been told by those with a non-factual point of view but are ideologically driven rather than substance led.

Honestly, I am not sure there is a complete explanation as to why things are as they are but if the multitude of followers of Islam truly found the activities of terrorist abhorrent they would not be silent, and dance in the streets when terrorist attacks are carried out against the perceived enemies of Islam predominantly Israel and the United States.  They would not sit silently when they are aware of planned or potentially planned terrorist activities, they would SEE SOMETHING and SAY SOMETHING condemning it in the strongest of terms and aiding Law Enforcement in stopping the terrorist.  Therefore, for the President to be more concerned with protecting the image of Islam and the feelings of Muslims more than he is protecting Americans needs to be examined and kept in mind when we go to the polls and to our prayer closets.

BLOG POST - Truth

If a people are willing to be silent when they know the plans of destruction and support the slaughter of people when anything offends their religion, I cannot be concerned with offending them.  I must be more concerned with protecting my family, property, and myself than I am whether they consider my questioning or criticism of one of their followers a commission of some unpardonable sin.  If their religion is to be construed a religion of peace then be peaceable and stand against that which breaks the peace by other followers of your religion.  When you refuse, you leave me no choice but to conclude you are either filled with fear or you agree with the actions, either way, I am left in a position of danger and with the need to defend myself and I will.

Mr. President, your incessant diatribe about the wonderfulness of Islam has wearied me and millions of Americans as you defend the slaughters, terrorist, and criminals and attempt to blame Christians, Republicans, the NRA and our 2nd Amendment Rights or “guns”.  You are not that naïve or simply misguided, I believe you are complicit in the effort to destroy our nation and way of life and that causes me to lean toward your being diabolical.  Your previous attempts to ‘SPLAIN this has not satisfied reason so until I see a change in your I will continue to believe you agree either wholly or too extensively with their desires, plans, ideology, and purposes.  That makes you and all who support your ideological and political views dangers to America.

MY PREDICTION – The 45th President of the United States Will Be…


BLOG POST 1 - Monkey Prediction

My Prediction for the 2016 Presidential Election Winner is it will be – – Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump, UNLESS…  Unless what?  There are many possibilities or scenarios that could transpire to prevent or delay either of those presumptive nominees from occupying the Oval Office.  Barring something unforeseen one of them will be inaugurated on Friday, January 20, 2017, and become the 45th President of the United States of America.  That is exciting to some and anathema to others but from my vantage point, that is the cold hard reality.  I realize that some believe that a third-party candidate or alternate candidate can garner enough support to throw the election into the House of Representatives, but I cannot envision a groundswell large enough to allow any of the potential alternative candidates to win electoral votes much less enough electoral votes to prevent anyone from achieving the 270 votes needed to win the election.  That is my view, and you may or may not share it.

Back to the UNLESS that could prevent or delay either the Republican or Democrat from becoming President, what would have to happen to suspend, prevent, or delay the elections?  To suspend it, would take an incredible overreach of powers by either the President or Congress to achieve that objective.  There is nothing in the U.S. Constitution addressing the question of “wartime elections” and that means that the elections must be held even if we are in a war.  We have held presidential elections during a time of war both declared and undeclared.  Check the historical record and discover that elections were held during the War of 1812, Civil War – 1864, Philippine-American War – 1900, World War II – 1944, Korean War – 1952, Vietnam – 1964, 1968 and 1972 and the second Gulf War – 2004.  Therefore, even a war would not be sufficient to suspend the elections constitutionally.

BLOG POST 1 - Martial Law

There is the theory that Barack Obama will somehow find a way to declare “martial law” before the elections and suspend or delay the outcome.  Martial law is a very extreme and incredibly rare measure designed to control society during war or times of civil unrest that have reached levels requiring extreme measures to keep the peace and safety.  The Supreme Court has ruled that “martial law” has no precise meaning and that is frightening.  Yet, martial law nationally has only been done once by Abraham Lincoln at the beginning of the Civil War and regionally during WWII.  It can be declared by the President or Congress and Congress has never declared martial law.  It has been used by Governor’s but nationally it is an extremely rare measure but possible.  However, I am sure it would be challenged and fast-tracked to the Supreme Court were this president attempt to use it to stop the election or delay the outcome.  Would it be upheld?  That remains to be seen and in light of some recent decisions of the Court it is cause for concern.  However, were martial law to be imposed, I suppose there could be such restrictions enacted and mandated that it would prevent many from being able to travel to a place of voting to cast a ballot and skew the outcome significantly.  Again, this is hypothetical not a factual projection of what I think is going to happen.  I believe that this president and those pulling his strings and serving under him have examined every possible scenario and I would put nothing past him.  I would not be surprised if this tool of destruction were to attempt to declare himself Emperor of America.  But that would require another possibility.

BLOG POST 1 - Military Coup

To suspend the Constitution and elections and have it stand would require a Military Coup and I pray there is not enough support in the military for that to become a reality.  Barack Obama may create a crisis so significant that the public becomes willing to accept a suspension of elections and martial law out of fear but I cannot envision a scenario in which ALL CITIZENS would agree and thus another Civil War would be the result.  Were there to be a military coup and Barack Obama declared Emperor the violence and our streets would run red with blood.  That is a scenario I pray never happens and I still have enough faith in our military that there would not be sufficient support to carry out such an objective.  I have enough faith in the American people that this could never survive as a real possibility.  Do I think this president or Hillary Clinton would pursue such a scenario?  Absolutely, if they thought it had any realistic chance of succeeding.  Neither would risk being deposed and overthrown because as the elected President, they can cause incredible harm to our Constitutional Republic as we have witnessed over these past eight years.

BLOG POST 1 - Predictions

Therefore, barring something so drastic and dramatic that would bring America to a state of turmoil and chaos never witnessed in our history, either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton will be the 45th President of the United States of America.  The question is, “What Say You in November?”  If it is a certainty that one of them will be President, which one do you choose?  I have friends that say NEITHER and are adamant that it does not matter because at that point America is lost.  I pray that is not the case and will continue to pray fervently for my nation, examine the candidates as thoroughly as possible, and follow my conscience in November and I believe you will as well.  My request is that we PRAY, PRAY, and PRAY some more for God go guard and guide our nation.  I truly believe that America’s future and survival are hanging in the balance in the 2016 Elections and by that I mean ALL THE ELECTIONS from local to national.

BLOG POST 5 - GUN CONTROL

That’s right I said, talk about guns.  The sad fact is that this president and the left want to render the 2nd Amendment null and void for the Law Abiding in America.  They know, you know, and I know that “banning guns” will only take them from the hands of those who obey the law now, not the criminals, terrorist, and lunatics in the world.  Locks on doors are for honest people they do little, if anything, to deter those who are willing to steal.  When we consider the Orlando situation a number of facts come to light and “tighter gun laws” would not have prevented that evil outburst.  Why?  Because giving the FBI carte blanche to reject a person without legal basis because they deem it proper would not have prevented Omar Mateen from having guns.  Why?  Because he was licensed by the State to guard State facilities and check for people with weapons.  He was taken off the terrorist watch list by the FBI.  So, none of the proposed solutions offered by the President, the Democrat politicians, Media, and activist would have had any bearing on him and his ability to do what he did.  In fact, the FBI ignored or were prevented from any intensive investigation because they had numerous warnings.  The owner of a gun shop reported him attempting to buy heavy body armor and became suspicious.  Co-workers reported his bragging about connections to terrorist, his hatred for the West and anger at our military actions toward ISIS.  No, Mr. President the Christians, Republicans, nor the NRA caused the problem, your policies helped to ensure an open door but your political rhetoric and vitriol against anyone who dares question Islam or Islamic terrorism are misguided, at best.

BLOG POST 5 - Gun Laws

But, let’s talk about guns, legally purchased, legally kept, and legally used.  It would be almost impossible to determine the exact number of firearms in the hands of civilians in America today.  Some of the most realistic estimates are that there are approximately 270 MILLION such guns.  Some very reasonable estimates are that over 200 THOUSAND times each year a woman uses a gun to defend herself against sexual assault.  Likewise, some research I have viewed declares that 60% of felons questioned said they would opt to not attempt to accost a potential victim who was armed.

The Harvard Journal of Law & Public Policy published a study that concluded there is a negative correlation between gun ownership and violent crime in countries internationally.  Simply, they reported, more guns resulted in less crime.  I know that won’t set will with the “gun control activist” but facts are stubborn things and wishing they weren’t so won’t change them.  They also reported that nations with the strictest gun control laws had substantially higher murder rates than those countries with less stringent laws or restrictions on citizens to keep and bear arms.  They reported that Nine (9) European nations with the lowest gun ownership had a combined murder rate 3 TIMES that of the Nine (9) European nations with the highest rate of gun ownership.

The report cited the nations with the highest rate of “Intentional Homicide” had Honduras at the top with 91.6 per 100,000 and the U.S. at 4.8 per 100,000.  Now, I ask, “How exactly will more stringent gun control laws help in America?”  The FBI released crime statistics and found that states with concealed carry laws reduced the murder rate by a minimum of 8.5%, rapes by 5%, aggravated assaults by 7%, and robberies by 3%.  Tell me again, how stricter gun laws will make us safer.  It was reported that in 1982, Kennesaw, Georgia, passed a law requiring heads of households to keep at least one firearm in the house. The residential burglary rate dropped by 89% compared to 10.4% in the state as a whole.  It is clear from virtually every study that guns are used 80 TIMES more often to protect a life than to take one. 

 

BLOG POST 5 - Guns

I have repeated this so often I feel as though I’m speaking to a wall and nobody is listening but the problem is not GUNS it is PEOPLE.  It is the moral condition of the heart, the belief system of the individual, and the willingness of that person to do what they do.  Someone said to me, “Roy as a Christian and a preacher surely you want ‘gun control’ to make everybody safer.”  I said, “I would love for everybody to be safer but having more stringent ‘gun control’ will not accomplish that.”  There are too many reports verifying my argument that if law-abiding, responsible citizens are allowed to “keep and bear” arms we are much safer than if we create a society where only the lawless have firearms.  The politicians, Hollywood Types, and money and power brokers of this world have “armed bodyguards” but not the average citizen.  Those aforementioned people will not relinquish their arms but want us to do so.  That is tragic.

The argument, here in Texas, was that if “open carry” was passed it would turn Texas into the Old West and there would be gunfights daily.  Since January when the law passed and was signed by the Governor that has proved to be a total fabrication by the left and gun control activist.  I would prefer the criminal to be uncertain about my packing status, however, you can believe I am.  I would hate to have to use my firearm on another human being but made the decision about whether I would or not, long before I purchased the gun.  In the case where I am fearful for my life, my family, my home, or an innocent person, I have already resolved the question and I feel safer and my family feels safer knowing that reality.

BLOG POST 5 - My Guns

You can think of me what you will, that is almost inconsequential because I have come to this decision through prayer, careful thought, biblical and constitutional study.  I am at peace with that choice and know that only to preserve the life of the innocent would I brandish the firearm and use it, if necessary.  I believe that is at the heart of the intent of our Founding Fathers with regard to the 2nd Amendment.  Of course, they knew the dangers of a rogue government and tyranny but they also understood the basic human right for “self-defense.”
