THE CONSTUTION – – The Republic Can Only Survive as It Is Honored…


BLOG POST 1 - Constitution

As directed by our American Constitution virtually every holder of any office including our military take an Oath of Office or Service.  The Oath is usually something like the following:

“I [name], do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the                  United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith                  and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental                      reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the                 duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So, help me God.”

The common thread in every Oath taken by anyone connected to the federal government and those becoming citizens of these United States is an Oath of Allegiance to the Constitution which is the Republic.  Without adherence to that Oath, our Republic and Constitution is meaningless.  We have survived for 240 years because we, as a people, have taken that Oath with a high degree of seriousness.  That has changed or is changing so it would seem.  If a majority of people in the United States ever adopt the view that many politicians, activist groups, and even religious sects that our Constitution is to be selective obeyed if at all, we perish.

One of the cornerstones of a Free Republic is the consent to accept the outcome of elections.  Donald Trump was castigated and called many vile names and his patriotism and commitment to America called into question during the debates.  Hillary and the Democrats tried to use his refusal to declare that he would accept the outcome of the election against him.  They insisted that was Un-American, bordered on Treason, and was quite other than the American way and could not be tolerated.  NOW, who is refusing to accept the outcome of the election?  You get a gold star, it is Hillary and the Democrats along with some of the Never Trump Adherents.  They are not only denying the outcome they are encouraging those prone to protest to not only protest but do so violently.  They have applauded the looting, burning, rioting, and vile speech as simply being dissent due to disappointment.  Barack Obama and Michelle encouraged them to continue without specifically saying, “Burn, loot, maim, and commit crimes.”  They did not have to say those words, those protesting understood the endorsement and signal of approval.

The Democrats in Congress have set themselves to OBSTRUCT anything and everything that Donald Trump does UNLESS he agrees to allow them to choose the Judges and other positions.  That is foreign to the Constitution for that document gives the right to appoint judges to the President and the Senate is to give “advice” and “consent.”  I do not mind debating the credentials and even the character of the nominee, that is within the scope of the Constitution.  They have not stood in an almost 100% Bloc to prevent Judge Gorsuch for being confirmed claiming the seat belongs to Merrick Garland, which it does not.  They are objecting because he is not liberal enough saying he is not ‘mainstream’ and objecting to his originalist positions and are trying to use the Constitution to defend their antics.  It is interesting that the Left will use the Constitution when they are in power to advance their agenda but when they lose they seek ways to bypass it and reinterpret it.

When Democrats win, the Republicans say, “They won, so they get to choose.”  I am quite certain that is partly due to a condition of spinelessness on their part and partly because they recognize that for the Republic to survive the Constitution must be followed.  The Democrats believe, as many have expressed, the American Constitution is outdated and must be considered a Living Document that evolves over time to adapt to the whims of society.  That is what Democracies have done and one of the keys in their demise or suicide.  Our Founders and Framers hammered out a compromise in this System of Government guided by the Constitution that would withstand the test and ravages of time and changing societies and we must not abandon it.

The Islamist do not disregard authority they simply declare that there is no higher authority than their Sharia Law. The Democrats believe in authority when they are the ones issuing the decrees but if not the Constitution is an antiquated document.  The unmasking of American citizens, in intel that had nothing to do with national security or the Russian investigation, by Democrats is deemed part of their job.  If it is or were done by a Republican, there would be immediate demands that we have a special investigator and indictments the result.  They ignored the violations of law that even the FBI Head acknowledged existed but his justification was that she did not intend to do harm.  Try that if you speed and see if your ticket is dismissed.  When Susan Rice and Evelyn Farkas can do what they have done and it is perceived and advanced by the Left as their part of their job or an act of great patriotism.  Van Jones has now declared that Donald Trump should award Susan Rice the Presidental Medal.  SERIOUSLY???  Yet, if any Republican omits even one small item in their disclosure they are guilty of High-Crimes worthy of criminal charges and to be banned from government service.

We have one side who IGNORE the Constitution, are failing to honor their Oath of Office and are facilitating the destruction of the Republic. The danger, in my view, is that if the number of citizens who adopt the view that the Constitution can or should be ignored THE REPUBLIC IS LOST.  I am not suggesting might be lost but it is LOST.  The only way America can survive as a Free Republic is through adherence to the guidelines and restraints of the Constitution.  No judge has a constitutional right to legislate from the bench he/she are to rule according to the constitutionality, not ideological preference.  No elected official has a constitutional right to ignore the Constitution, refuse to accept the peaceful transfer of power and adhere to the constitution and their Oath of Office.  If they violate that, they should be dismissed by the other members and if not by them, at the next election they should be shown the door.

I don’t care if you are Democrat or Republican, the Constitution is the Law of the Land and it must be followed.  In that document, there is the method to alter it to our liking and that is the Amendment Process. That process is time-consuming and difficult as it should be because we are a Republic, not a Pure Democracy and Republics do not change to accommodate a current whim.  We have survived because we have a Constitution that has been, in large part, followed and we will cease to exist if we no longer follow it and keep the oath of office every elected official and most government personnel have sworn to uphold.  I ask that everyone pay attention, study that document, pray for our leaders and nation, and insist that the Constitution be followed and politicians fulfill their Oath of Office.

DROWNING IN A SEA OF DEBT…


BLOG POST 2 - Sea of Debt

America, we are now and have been drowning in a sea of debt for so long many have come to believe it an unavoidable and normal condition of government.  The lackadaisical attitude of Washington and far too many Americans regarding debt is not only dangerous it is robbing us of Liberty and Freedom and will ultimately destroy the Republic we have enjoyed for over 240 years.  I believe, as the Bible declares, and our Founding Fathers and the Framers warned, DEBT IS DESTRUCTIVE.  Let me qualify that marginally, excessive debt is destructive but debt makes the borrower a slave to the lender in a very real sense.  If the government is the lender and the American people borrowers by virtue of the entitlement subsidy then we are trading our Freedom and Liberty for sustenance and security and in so doing, we lose both.  That is not the idea envisioned by the Founders or Framers and should not be acceptable today.

Unfortunately, many who find our National Sea of Debt less than desirable believe it is unavoidable and thereby resign themselves to the condition as a natural and normal part of your federal system.  IT IS NOT and at a great price, we allow it to continue.  Of course, it would be difficult and incredibly painful to force the federal government to live within its means, but failure to take that bold action will further erode our Liberty and Freedom.  Our National Debt, as of this writing is about $100 BILLION short of $20 TRILLION.  We are on a path of spending and debt that can only end in a complete collapse of our financial system and that will mean financial ruin for millions if not most Americans.  The negative impact on the world, should America’s financial system collapse would be catastrophic and plunge the world into a condition conducive for diabolical powers to TAKE TOTAL CONTROL as they offer us a lifeline and become our savior.  They are not saviors but despotic tyrants who want to RULE with an IRON HAND and we would be their serfs.

I make no apologies for using the Bible and biblical principles in my arguments for things political.  I am who I am and who I am is a believer in the God, the Bible, and identify myself as a Christian.  Therefore, my worldview is filtered through the prism of my faith and understanding of God’s Word and His precepts and principles.  I go to the Bible for guidance regarding debt and quickly find the warning in Proverbs 22:7, “the borrower becomes the lender’s slave.”  I would contend, as have many others, that to the degree that a person is indebted that person’s individual liberty diminishes by the same proportion or ratio.  Your possible options regarding what you can do with your income or increase in wealth are limited by the amount of debt you possess.  The greater your debt the fewer options you have and the more that someone else determines what you can do with your money.  Debt is ownership in a very real sense.  Whoever holds the note is the owner. That is true for individuals, corporations, or nations.

God warned Israel to avoid debt as we find in Deuteronomy 15:6, “For the Lord your God will bless you as He has promised you, and you will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow; and you will rule over many nations, but they will not rule over you.”  The idea of ownership is seen in debt for the one lending was the one ruling and the one borrowing was the one being ruled.  America who rules us?  Thomas Jefferson offered a profound warning and explanation, “To preserve their [the people’s] independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt.  We must make our election [choice] between economy and liberty, or profusion and servitude.”  WE FAILED THAT TEST and did not HEED THAT WARNING and it is drowning us and destroying our republic.  The revelation is clear that frugality produces liberty and debt results in a form of slavery.  Those who are addicted to the entitlements provided by the government have opted to sell their Liberty for Sustenance.  Those who are driven by instant gratification and adopted a Play now Pay later mentality are slaves to their debt. They are owned by the bank and mortgage company as those entities allow them to enjoy the objects of their servitude as they seek ease and comfort.  At what price do we sell our Liberty?

Thomas Jefferson, one of the most prolific antagonists against excessive government and government spending also warned, “The forehorse [lender] of this frightful team is public debt.  Taxation follows that and in its train wretchedness and oppression.”  Not a very pretty picture of a nation buried in excessive debt, is it?  Jefferson also declared that he, “placed economy [frugality] among the first and most republican virtues, and public debt as the greatest dangers to be feared.”  Alexander Hamilton as well as George Washington, Ben Franklin, and others continually and repeatedly warned of the SEA OF DEBT that would drown our Republic.  WE HAVE IGNORED THOSE WARNINGS and opted for ease and comfort over Freedom and Liberty.  We have willingly sold ourselves into slavery by allowing politicians of all stripes to lade us with debt that generations in the future will not be able to pay.  George Washington said, “The progressive accumulation of debt…ultimately endangers all governments.  No pecuniary [monetary] consideration is more urgent than the regular redemption and discharge of the public debt…”   THAT SOUNDS LIKE A FOREIGN LANGUAGE IN TODAY’S AMERICA.  Politicians would turn against the Father of our Nation and call him names worse than they are calling Donald Trump were he to step on the scene and declare that today.

AMERICA, we cannot afford the entitlements now being granted to citizens, non-citizens, and other nations.  We cannot afford the continuation of mortgaging our future by assuming debt that will eventually make us subservient to other nations, nations who desire our destruction, not our success.  We cannot afford to allow politicians to bury us in a sea of debt to facilitate their political bribery and cronyism.  We MUST, in government, as in our personal situations, LIVE WITHIN OUR MEANS.  No, there is not enough money in America to satisfy the insatiable monetary appetite of politicians so increasing taxes will not solve the problem.  We must IMMEDIATELY reduce spending, cut the budget, and develop a budgetary process where cuts are real, spending is reduced, and the debt is retired.  THAT is a CONDITION of AUSTERITY and will BE PAINFUL.  It will cause many politicians to lose their jobs and may cause such resistance from those totally dependent on government to take to the streets.  WE MAY BE TOO FAR DOWN THE ROAD OF DESTRUCTION TO TURN BACK.  I pray that is not the case.

HOW MANY SHOES HAVE TO DROP???


BLOG POST 1 - Shoe Drop

Seriously, how many revelations, admissions, acknowledgments, and discoveries of the actually spying on Donald Trump and his Team by Barack Obama’s Team occur before we deal with the issue?  The more we uncover the more it seems less likely it was “incidental” discovery but “planned spying” that resulted in America citizen’s names being UNMASKED and illegally leaked.  They admit it and then spin it as though they were simply doing their Patriotic duty and defending the Republic against the suggested nefariousness of the incoming president.  I wonder how they can say that with a straight face but have learned they have no shame and it often seems, no conscience.  Now we know that Susan Rice was directly involved and no one could think that Ms. Rice did what she did without the knowledge and approval of Barack Obama.  No honest person, that is!

They follow the philosophy of the Marxist and Alinskites embodied in the words of Joseph Goebbels, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic, and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”  That is what Congressman Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, Senator Chuck Schumer, the MSM, and political pundits are doing.  The incessant cry that the “Russians Stole the Election” is a LIE and they know it but if they keep promoting it consistently it will be believed and achieve their objective.

I believe the objective of the “Russian Did It” campaign is multi-pronged with at least three prongs.  Let me list my three prongs of their LIE and SPIN.  It is a diversionary tactic designed to hinder the progress and attention of the Republicans and President on Trump’s agenda and the fulfillment of his campaign promises.  It is an attempt to place a question in the minds of the public as to the legitimacy of the Trump presidency and thereby delegitimize and damage him to the point that everything he does is questioned.  It is an attempt to destabilize the nation hoping for an opportunity for more governmental control over the citizenry.  It is diabolical, unconstitutional in ideology, and detrimental to America and all Americans.

James Clapper has insisted there was no spying on the Trump Administration or Transition team.  James Comey has insisted that there was no wiretapping of Donald Trump or Trump Tower.  Yet, the leaked information, the information cited but not yet revealed by the Chairman of the Intelligence Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives indicates otherwise.  The illegal leaking of information, transcripts being placed in the hands of the various news outlets, and other indicators suggest that there was spying totally unconnected to any Russian involvement and without any credible national security concerns.  THAT IS ILLEGAL and must be investigated.

But those are not the most persuasive factual revelations that someone, possible Barack Obama himself authorized and initiated intensive spying and intelligence gathering on Donald Trump and his team.  That admission by the former Obama administration official Evelyn Farkas the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense on MSNBC and other places.  Ms. Farkas declared, “I was urging my former colleagues, and, and frankly speaking the people on the Hill [Democrat politicians], it was more actually aimed at telling the Hill people, get as much information as you can – get as much intelligence as you can – before President Obama leaves the administration.”  That is deeply troubling but it gets worse as she continued, “Because I had a fear that somehow that information would disappear with the senior [Obama] people who left; so it would be hidden away in the bureaucracy, um, that the Trump folks – IF THEY FOUND OUT HOW WE KNEW WHAT WE KNEW ABOUT THEIR, THE TRUMP STAFF, DEALING WITH RUSSIANS – that they would try to compromise those sources and methods; meaning we no longer have access to that intelligence.”

There are so many troubling aspects to this making beyond disturbing.  It is nothing short of amazing that the Democrats would attempt to deny, ignore, or defend this action and that of Susan Rice.  If Barack Obama did not authorize this, then Ms. Farkas went rouge and that I do not believe.  I believe she is attempting to ‘fall on the sword’ for Mr. Obama as more and more information surfaces revealing what transpired.  But how about her words “If they (Trump) knew HOW we knew…”  Ms. Farkas, exactly HOW did you know?  What were the surveillance methods used?  What was the extent? What were the sources used?  Was there a FISA warrant or any other warrant that justified your actions?  You suggested that you were doing your Patriotic Duty to SPY ON the nefarious Donald Trump to protect America.  You suggested that President Trump would destroy intelligence, which you know is a total lie but because of the incredible deviousness and secretiveness of your administration, you feared he would do what your boss attempted repeatedly.  Your actions were not those of a patriot but a political ideologue determined to undermine an incoming president hoping to protect the so-called Legacy of Barack Obama.  You want to continue the path of destruction of America in his fundamental transformation.  You admitted to spying and Congress needs to take immediate action as does the Department of Justice. 

Ms. Farkas, with the help of MSNBC, seemingly outed herself as the chief source of the New York Times report which discussed Obama officials leaking information. The Times tried to protect her but her own words outed her.  The Times reported, “More than a half-dozen current and former officials described various aspects of the effort to preserve and distribute intelligence, and some said they were speaking to draw attention to the material and ensure a proper investigation by Congress. All spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were discussing CLASSIFIED INFORMATION, nearly all of which remains secret.”  THAT IS A CRIME!  It was a crime to leak it to the media.  It was a crime to discuss the material.  It was a crime to unmask American citizen’s names.  I suspect that the spying was done, largely, if not entirely ILLEGALLY and it appears that the NSA, FBI, CIA and other agencies were complicit.  That so politicizes our intelligence community’s leadership that changes MUST take place immediately. Every Obama holdover in every agency, bureaucracy and governmental position that can be removed must be removed IMMEDIATELY.

How many shoes have to drop before the Democrats are held accountable?  How many shoes have to drop before America wakes up and demands a return to Law and Order?  How many shoes have to drop before there are prosecutions of the guilty?  How many shoes have to drop before we oust the perpetrators and get on with the business of America?  CONGRESS, Republicans in Leadership DO YOUR JOB and let’s move forward in the process of restoration of our Republic or we just may DROP THE SHOE ON YOU!

MY PERSONAL PILLARS – “Faith, Family, and Freedom.”


BLOG POST 1 - Personal Pillars

I have long been of the attitude that I do not ask or expect everyone to agree with me, only that they engage in civil discussion or discourse in their opposition and voicing of their opinion.  I do not UNFRIEND people on Facebook or other Social Media for disagreeing and only when they resort to personal attacks that become vile, vulgar, and vitriolic do I consider that option.  I am stunned at where our nation is today on virtually every level including the interpersonal level.  I have lived several decades now and most would call me a senior citizen or a seasoned citizen if they are trying to be gentile.  I am not offended to be viewed as one who has entered the golden years of life, I am thankful that I am still alive and able to engage in virtually all that is set before me.  God has graced me with health and the strength to be active, and for that, I am deeply grateful.

One of the ways I communicate my views on things from the social, spiritual to political is the medium of Facebook.  It is almost without fail that someone will take offense at my religious or political position and I will be kicked to the curb.  I am upfront and open about what I believe and the views I hold.  I do not assume that I am 100% correct on everything and sometimes wonder if I am on anything, but my views are my views and as I glean new information they modify and change on many fronts.  Some things regarding my faith could be said to be etched in granite and do not change, especially my believe that Jesus is the only begotten of the Father, that He came to earth being born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the Cross for our sin, rose again, ascended into heaven where He makes intercession for us and will come again to take us home.  THAT IS UNSHAKABLE.  I also believe that the ONLY access to God is through Him, just as He declared and that He is the Way, the Truth, the Life, and the Door to Salvation.  I believe that salvation cannot be earned but it is through Grace that we receive the New Birth and our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.  THOSE ARE UNSHAKABLE.  I believe the Bible is the Inspired Word of God and is Infallible serving as our guide and rule for Faith and Practice.  THAT IS NOT DEBATABLE.  You may not agree with any or all those positions and I won’t fight with you over your beliefs but know that THOSE ARE NOT AREAS I WILL SURRENDER MY POSITION.  So, if that is so contrary to your view that you cannot tolerate me I understand and bid you adieu as you make the decision to depart my company.

The reason I say that is to serve as a catalyst to express my basis for what I view about the Political and the Condition of our nation.  My Life Pillars are at the core of everything I believe and how I view politics and are major factors in why I cannot be a Democrat, a Progressive, or a Liberal.  I consider myself an American Patriot who loves this nation.  I am a constitutionalist in my view and conservative in my values and that is the reason that most of the time I vote Republican in elections.  There have been exceptions when the individual carrying the title was lesser an advocate of my views than another candidate.  That happened for some in the 2016 General Election for President and they could not abide either the Democrat or Republican candidate.  I considered the election somewhat binary and therefore I voted in the way that I believed would be in the best interest of America and Freedom.  I have not and will not question the values or principles of others for how they voted.  However, I do ask that now that we have a duly elected president and one who is demonstrating a genuine willingness to keep campaign promises that most of us hope for, that you get behind him and let’s work together to advance America’s cause.  I ask that you not engage in obstructionism and engage in the efforts of the NEVER TRUMP advocates to destroy his administration.  If that were successful it would not be Donald Trump alone that suffered it would be America and our Constitutional System of Government.

Faith is key for me for as I study the writings of our Founders and Framers and the wording of our Constitution, Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence and more the presence of Faith in the Almighty God, the God of the Bible is unmistakable.  I believe that when any nation honors the LORD and seeks to incorporate His precepts and principles in our government and our individual lives we will find his smile upon us and we enjoy His protection and prosper.  We have endured for over 240 years as a Republican Democracy that has afforded Freedom and Liberty like none other in history.  Sadly, many of our liberties are being eroded and that is directly connected to our drifting from a position of Faith.  The more secularized we have become and the more we have sought to exclude Faith from all matters public the more we have lost freedom. 

Family is key for me for as I study human nature, examine statistical data, and review the empirical evidence concerning the decline in many areas in our nation, FAMILY surfaces as a connecting factor.  In our nation, especially over the past few years or decades, we have allowed governmental actions to weaken the Position, Power, and Importance of THE FAMILY.  Some, as Hillary Clinton, have espoused the view that Government can raise our children better than we.  She said, “It takes a village to raise a child.”  NO, it takes a FAMILY to train up a child in the way he/she should go.  YES, the community, church, and school can help reinforce those core foundational principles taught in the home but the responsibility for training our children lies at the feet of the Parents.  I said, Parents plural, not parent singular.  I would never diminish or devalue that single parent and their labors but the optimum is to have Father and Mother in the home and both active in the upbringing of their children.  Some are single parents because of divorce or death. Some are single parents because they engaged in premarital sex and pregnancy occurred and now they are doing the best they can.  They all need our support and help but when the government seeks to undermine the institution of marriage and press us into conditions other than traditional marriage they are undermining the fabric of society and we are paying for it.  It only takes being a male to sire an offspring but it takes A REAL MAN to be a father and it takes A TRUE WOMAN to be a mother.  Children need the nurture and admonition of both parents to help them become productive members of society and then able to teach future generations the right way to live.  When the Family deteriorates our Freedom is diminished.

Freedom is key for me as I study the Bible and our Constitution and Declaration of Independence.  Our Founders and the Framers understood that Government did not have the right or power to grant rights that could only come from God which they called UNALIENABLE RIGHTS.  We have, in the past years, opted to surrender rights that God gave to the government in exchange for sustenance, security, or something else.  We have traded our Liberty and Liberty once lost is virtually never regained.  I have worn the uniform of our Armed Forces and fought in Vietnam in the name of Freedom.  I value the sacrifices those throughout our history have paid for our Freedom and will defend our Freedom as long as I draw breath.  We have certain guarantees in our Constitution and Bill of Rights that include the RIGHT to Life, Liberty, and Pursuit of Happiness.  We have the RIGHT to peaceable assembly and to worship according to the dictates of our hearts.  We have God-given rights that MUST be guarded and if an enemy from without or within tries to take those rights we dare not be slothful in our determination to defend this nation against all enemies both foreign and domestic.

My Faith is my foundation, my Family gives me strength and encouragement, and my Freedom is that position and condition that allows me to pursue my Faith and protect my Family with Liberty.  America is the nation of my birth and my love for this nation and what she was founded to be and has stood for now for over 240 years brings pride to my heart and is a Prize I am willing to and committed to Fight For.  Join me, I ask, in Defending Faith, Family, and Freedom in America for it will impact the entire world.

ARE WE LOSING OUR REPUBLIC???


BLOG POST 2 - Republic 1

The words of Benjamin Franklin, “A Republic if you can keep it,” almost haunt me, at times, as I consider the state of my nation.  We have KEPT IT because we have adhered to the Original Intent of the Framers and the desire of the Founders who won our Independence in the Revolutionary War.  We have KEPT IT because of the resolve of the America people and our commitment to the principles of Liberty and Freedom.  We have KEPT IT because our American tradition and history has been THE PEACEFUL TRANSFER OF POWER election after election.  That does not mean that those on the losing end of the electoral equation happily embraced the new administration but they did not take to the streets, riot, burn, look, maim, harm, impede, and damage person and property.  They sought to use the legitimate and constitutional means of offering their dissent and opposition.  THAT IS CHANGING and thus it is my conviction that we are in grave danger of LOSING OUR REPUBLIC.

Thomas Jefferson suggested that in America and as Americans we are not afraid to follow truth wherever it may lead nor will we be overcome by error as long as reason is left free to combat it.  The censorship we have experienced in the past few years from the PC Police, Activist, Liberals, Progressives, and Leftist is weakening that principle.  Those on the Left have demonstrated a propensity to ignore the truth and advance rhetoric that supports their ideological position and agenda.  When we, as a society, reach the place that we justify breaking the law and endorse lawlessness to advance a political or personal agenda we damage the foundations of Freedom.  When we, as a society, arrive at a juncture where the law does not apply equally to everyone we jeopardize the very Pillars of Freedom and Liberty that enable us to maintain our Republic.

We are in danger of losing our Republic because, in part, we have TAKEN IT FOR GRANTED and assumed that things will continue as they have been for 240 years.  As in every facet of life, when something or someone is taken for granted there is a real danger of losing that thing or person.  Abuses occur in that state and those abuses push the envelope to the point that drastic and dramatic reaction transpires.  Homes are disrupted, businesses fail, relationships destroyed, and governments fall when the people TAKE FOR GRANTED that which must be fought and labored for.

In today’s political climate in America, there are those who have virtually if not literally declared war on anyone and everything that is in opposition to their ideology.  We have a segment of our society who find it impossible to ACCEPT the outcome of the Election and are DETERMINED to destroy this new president and if that damages America they are unconcerned or unaware of the danger of their endeavors.  Those on the Left believe that if we disagree with Global Warming or Climate Change being the greatest danger to the world, we are unenlightened and must either be reeducated or marginalized to the point we are irrelevant.  They vociferously seek to deny anyone opposing their views the right to voice an opinion or present factual argument.  That not only applies in that area but all areas in which the Left embraces including abortion, illegal immigration, secure borders, religious convictions, healthcare, and the god-status they have ascribed to government.  Disagree with their position and you are branded as ignorant, bigoted, misogynic, xenophobic, homophobic, Islamophobic, unfeeling, uncaring, and desire to kill women, children, and the elderly.  There is no common ground, no give and take, no willingness to LISTEN to any opposing argument.  It is THEIR WAY OR THE HIGHWAY!

The danger of adopting the current actions and antics of the Leftist who refuse to accept the election of Donald J. Trump as President of the United States of America is the destruction of our Republic.  What will be the result if in each successive election those on the losing side take to the streets, riot, loot, burn, destroy, and impede progress?  What will be the result if those in the losing party, in Congress, violate all principles of Republicanism and take whatever measures possible to impede and destroy the new administration?  We will have created a condition and a nation in which no one believes in our system and no one feels safe under the Laws of our Land.  We will have a condition in which anarchy becomes the norm and everyone seeks to become a Law unto themselves.  We will have a condition where people believe they can selectively obey our laws and the result is anything but a Republic and Civil Government.

We have a unique system of government that has survived largely because we, as a people, have embraced the PEACEFUL TRANSFER OF POWER.  We have, as a people, trusted our system, even if we have not always agreed with those governing.  We have been a Nation of Laws which has helped to maintain a peaceful society where the Constitution and Congress recognize our unalienable rights has passed Laws to protect those rights with the intent to equally protect everyone under the law.  Have we failed on any of those fronts?  Clearly, we have but our system has survived and provided a condition of Liberty and Freedom experienced by few, if any, peoples on the earth.

A REPUBLIC, IF YOU CAN KEEP IT?  Can we or will we keep it?  We can and will if we are able to set aside our personal agendas and consider the best good of the nation.  We can and will if we become men and women of Prayer.  We can and will if we are willing to rid Washington of the corruption, failed professional elitist politicians and DEMAND they follow the Constitution and maintain a condition of Peaceable Transfer of Power.  America is the prize we are fighting for; how much are we willing to pay for her preservation?

SQUANDERING ANOTHER OPPORTUNITY…


BLOG POST 1 - Squander

I guess I will never see a poem as lovely as a tree or a Republican-led Congress that does not shoot itself in the foot every time they have a Golden Opportunity to achieve something positive for the American people.  The questions that keep coming to my mind are, “Are they that dumb?  Do they have a death wish?  Are they simply Democrat Lights and preservation of the Ole Boy System is of greater importance and value than America and the Constitution?”   I’m afraid that some or all of those are YES, YES, and YES!  Some of the latest polls I have seen is that the Republicans are taking a significant hit in ratings and that does not bode well for 2018.

The Republicans had years to prepare for this moment but apparently did not think they’d reclaim the White House this quickly so they are not prepared to deal with Obamacare.  They are totally unwilling to simply repeal it and then work on whatever replacement might be deemed prudent so they are, according to many reports, advanced a law that would be little more than Obamacare Lite.  There were aspects of their plan that I could endorse and parts that I found and find repulsive and objectionable.  It appears that the bill that Paul Ryan and the Establishment sold to the President rankled enough conservatives it was doomed to fail before it began.  It is a bit troubling that the President after endorsing it demonstrated a side of his nature that could be problematic.  He threw down the gauntlet saying, ‘Deal or No Deal’  and informed Congress to either pass it or keep Obamacare.  That meant WE KEEP OBAMACARE with all its incredible destructiveness for the foreseeable future.  That could mean that in 2018 voters are going to remember and be infuriated with the Republicans and it is quite possible they will give the House and/or the Senate to the Democrats due to Republican failure and lack of preparedness.  THAT IS A TRAGIC POSSIBILITY  but a cycle that continues to occur with Republicans.  America is the loser!

The Spying that has apparently has taken place on members of the President’s Transition Team and possibly the President himself, completely unrelated to the Russian inquiry is an issue the Republicans MUST deal with decisively and definitively.  They MUST uncover where this originated, hold any and all persons accountable under the law for any illegalities and unethical actions.  They MUST expose those involved even if it leads all the way to Barack Obama’s door.  NO ONE and I do mean NO ONE should be above the law, Republican or Democrat.  If we fail to do this Political Targeting and Police State Activity will become the norm rather than the exception.  Representative Adam Schiff, (D-California) has become the Democrat mouthpiece and the Republicans are not demonstrating a willingness or ability to connect the dots on this Benghazi Lawyer who called the heroes who defended the embassy liars because they disputed Obama and Hillary’s narrative of what happened.  Those men were there and pulled back the curtain on the fraud, deception, and outright lies of the Obama team.  Now, Congressman Schiff is trying to downplay and discredit the information Representative Devin Nunes, the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee has uncovered that reveals there was purposeful or incidental spying and that the information had wrongly been spread around Washington unredacted.  That is of serious concern, but the Democrats want nothing to do with it, after all, it might expose their phony fishing expeditions and spin as they attempt to discredit President Trump.   As my brother said, “If they gain inroads in 2018 there will be an immediate and active push to Impeach Donald Trump.”  That is coming regardless of their gains but will assuredly escalate if they do gain ground.

The lack of intestinal fortitude by the Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell is another example of squandering opportunities. He has allowed the Minority Leader, Chuck Schumer, and the Left dictate what he does.  The Republicans have allowed the Democrats to slow-walk the nominations of many of Trump’s proposed appointees and now the Democrats are vowing to filibuster the Gorsuch nomination.  Senator McConnell, it is time for you to press the button and drop the nuke and get this done.   Sir Chuckie Schumer argued that judges should be independent and neutral as a reason for opposing Judge Gorsuch.  I wonder where that strong moral stance was when Sonia Sotomayor and Elana Kagan were up for confirmation?  Oh, I forgot, they are leftist Democrats so that standard does not apply to them.  Sorry, I keep forgetting how this works.  Sir Chuckie also said that he could not vote for Judge Gorsuch because he was not MAINSTREAM and it would appear that Senator Schumer’s idea of MAINSTREAM is someone who believes in a living Constitution rather than the Original Intent.  It would appear that it means someone who endorses the Leftist Agenda and is willing to legislate from the bench in forcing America and Americans to accept laws, edicts, and presidential acts that are unconstitutional.  If that is MAINSTREAM, then thank God, that Judge Gorsuch is not.  That is, even more, reason to confirm him immediately.  I find it laughable that now Senator Schumer wants to argue that the answer is “not to change the rules, but to change the nominee.”  Where was that argument when Senator Harry Reid CHANGED THE RULES?  Sorry, I forgot again, that is acceptable when the Democrats do it but an abomination when the Republicans do.

Republicans we gave you an opportunity to reduce the size and scope of government.  We gave you the tools to repeal Obamacare, lower taxes, secure our border, strengthen our national security, and rebuild our military, don’t squander it.  We gave you the opportunity to rekindle the fire of the economy and limit the massive and intrusive regulations that are strangling our economy, don’t waste it.  We gave you the opportunity to stem the tide of this runaway spending train, massive national debt, and political targeting by various left-leaning agencies and bureaucracies don’t ignore the problem or it will be costly.  NO, I am not threatening anyone, I am PROMISING and PREDICTING the outcome of another WASTED OPPORTUNITY.  The voters won’t tolerate it and the Democrat Party that was on the ropes gasping for political air will be resuscitated and given new life.  America loses! 

What can we do?  We can make our voices heard.  We can find our prayer closets.  We can make the members of Congress aware that WE WILL REMEMBER.  If we are sufficiently vocal and doggedly determined, we just might get their attention.  DON’T WASTE THIS OPPORTUNITY it may be our last.

LAND OF THE FREE – – Shall We Look and See???


BLOG POST 2 - Freedom

We proudly declare that we are America and Free, but are we?  How Free are we?  How do we stack up against other countries in the world?  The Cato Institute, an American Libertarian ‘think tank’ based in Washington, DC is reportedly one of the top ‘think tanks’ in the world.  They released their “Human Freedom Index” which is a very broad measure of personal, civil, and economic freedom around the globe.  This report is co-published by the Cato Institute, Fraser Institute (Canada) and the Liberales (Germany).  Where do you suppose, the United States Ranks and how has that changed during the eight years of Barack Obama.  I suspect you suspect it has declined and you are right if that was your assumption.

These researchers considered 76 indicators in 152 countries to calculate the degree people are FREE in so many areas it would be difficult to list them all but freedom of speech, religion, and association are among those.  The New Human Freedom Index ranks the United States as 20th among the 152 countries. You might say, “That’s not bad,” but I must ask, “Is it that good?”  When Barack Obama took office in 2009 the United States was 16th, in 2015 was 20th and in 2016 dropped to 22nd in the world.  Please take note of the decline, which I believe was part and parcel of Obama’s plan of ‘fundamental transformation’ of America.  He sought to punish us and he did just that in more ways than I could list or even know.

If you find that disturbing it is worse than that, according to the report.  Using Appendix J, the ranking in Personal Freedom’s aggregate numbers listed the USA astoundingly at 28th.  But, who are the top 10?  From 1-10, Demark, Austria, Norway, Netherlands, Germany, Finland, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Iceland, and United Kingdom.  The next tier is Australia, Belgium, Canada, Poland, Czech Republic, Malta, Hong Kong, Slovenia, Italy, New Zealand, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, and France. Then you get to the United States. That list should trouble you greatly, it does me.  I can understand that we might not be NUMBER ONE but we should NEVER be NUMBER TWENTY-EIGHT.  The fact that we have dropped from 16th to 28th is appalling and a clear indication that my ranting about the size, scope, and danger of the all-intrusive and invasive Big Government is valid.  We have watched our Freedoms disappear and most did not realize it was happening or are in denial that it has or is happening.  IT IS TIME TO DRAIN THE SWAMP of bureaucrats and politicians.  We dropped 12 spots in 8 years and if we do not change course how much more will we drop?

The Human Freedom Index ranked us 16th in Economic Freedom and while 16th might not sound bad it is not as good as it could or should be.  Who is on the list ahead of America?  Hong Kong, Singapore, New Zealand, Switzerland, Ireland, Canada, Mauritius, Georgia, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Australia, Qatar, Chile, Jordan, Lithuania and then the good old U.S. of A.  If you were one of those that believed the spin of the Democrats and the Obama administration that our economy was strong, you might want to think again.  If you thought that the Obama administration was interested in America and Americans, you might want to think again.  We have slowly but surely lost ground in the world and our Freedoms have been eroded needlessly and wrongly.  I do not know if Donald Trump, a businessman, can turn the economy around and alleviate some of the stifling Government Regulations that the Obama administration imposed but I pray that he can.  I pray that the Republicans in Congress will find a SPINE and defend our freedoms and help return America to our rightful place as a FREE REPUBLIC and once again make us the “Land of the Free, as well as the Home of the Brave.”

When our top marginal tax rate is recorded at a 5.0 out of 10.0 that is astounding and must change if we are to have a restored economy and see America once again burst forth with economic growth.  When the size of government is listed as 6.41 out of 10.0 that should be disturbing for it indicates how massive and intrusive the Federal Government is.  When Business Regulations is scored as 6.63 out of 10.0 we should be concerned.  Our Military Intelligence was rated as 6.67 and that is assuredly not good.  This report indicates that the government is consuming a significant portion of our economic gains and the insane spending by the Federal Government is drowning us in debt and that is detrimental to our Economic Stability.

Most Americans are not financially stable and live from paycheck to paycheck.  Yet, many, if not most still demand their amenities such as flat screen televisions, new automobiles that we finance of 6,7 or 8 years, and insist that owning a house we cannot pay for is part of the America dream and our Right.  We complain about politics and politicians but who elects them?  WE DO!  We have not paid proper attention to their antics and actions and ousted them when they violated our trust.  Instead, we rewarded them with a 2nd, 3rd, or 10th term in office and helped facilitate the Ole Boy System that is destroying our Republic.  It seems to me that too often we major in minors and allowed the guilty in DC to go free rather than doing our homework, paying attention, and faithfully going to the voting booths and rewarding many of them with PINK SLIPS saying, YOU’RE FIRED!  We are not as free as we probably thought but we can return to our rightful place in the world and be FREE.

BLOG POST 3 - Silent Coup

Yes, I said carnage and coup and connected them to the former President Barack Hussein Obama the 44th President of the United States of America.  Before you turn me off, kick me to the curb and declare me whatever you declare me, stop, and examine some of the political, economic, and social damage under his watch.  Then, if you still deem me a kook, so be it and we will part ways without vitriol, at least on my part.

President Donald J. Trump is being castigated for asserting that Barack Obama ordered the phones at the Trump Tower wiretapped.  The former Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper has stated publicly that was not true, however, he did not say that none of Trump’s associates or a server in the Trump Tower was not a target of surveillance.  That leaves room for President Trump’s allegations to have some validity.  Now some new information surfaces that indicate there was some surveillance of someone and that resulted in “incidental“ information discovery.  That raises a number of questions that we may or may not get the answer.  Maybe they did not target Donald Trump personally but it is becoming increasingly clear that there were wiretapping and spying conducted with the approval of the previous administration attempting to connect the Trump campaign, surrogates, and Mr. Trump himself to the Russian government.  I believe that was clearly a fishing expedition if not a blatant witch hunt but to deny that any wiretapping was conducted would be to ignore the evidence, media reports, and other information from various sources. But alas, that is how the Democrats seem to roll these days, and the media backtracks from their headlines that indicated wiretapping to ensure they are in step with the current narrative.

I could not possibly enumerate all the things that Barack Obama’s administration did that left our economy, our political system, and our social condition in turmoil or at least far worse than when he entered office.  Is it possible that the Department of Justice or Injustice as it has been under the former administration conducted ‘reverse targeting’ against Donald Trump?  Do wild bears live in the woods?  I say that because the Obama administration has used that tactic numerous times in the past, so why not against this political opponent?  The things I will highlight everyone is familiar with and this is not to give you a new revelation but to remind you of the atrocities and questionable if not illegal activities of the previous administration.

Let’s begin with the targeting of Conservative organizations by the IRS.  Remember that?  The Democrats were continually bemoaning the existence of that type of organizations and individuals who dared to oppose Barack Obama and his Fascist Marxist Anti-American Agenda.  The Left used the MSM, letters to Congressional Democrats, and appeal to the President requesting that the IRS carefully examine (target) those organizations and examine them in minute detail.  Lois Lerner complied and then destroyed or otherwise shielded evidence including emails to hide the wrongdoing and protect those individuals complying with orders from on high.  Of course, it was argued this was the work of a few rogue agents not a policy or mandate from higher ups in the IRS.  That was clearly proved to be false but Ms. Lerner was allowed to retire with FULL PENSION and the IRS paid a paltry penalty of $50,000 in damages for one targeting endeavor.

Do you remember the National Labor Relations Board’s harassment of Boeing?  Boeing, a private company has the legal right to open a plant wherever they want and can find the space to do so.  That is the way it works in America, or so we thought.  Not so, the NLRB charged Boeing with violations of labor laws by opening a plant in South Carolina instead of Washington.  They charged that Boeing was being retaliatory by putting their plant in South Carolina because workers in Washington were on strike. That was a charge that was never proved and Boeing insisted that it was for lower production and labor costs they made the decision.  Once the works in Washington and Boeing agreed to a new labor contract, the case was dropped.  The previous administration was using its muscle illegally and unjustly to coerce a private company to do what it wanted to protect the Democrat voting bloc of Union Workers in Washington.  Imagine that.

Talk about email scandals and not even addressing the DNC emails against Bernie Sanders, the John Podesta debacle, and the Hillary Clinton fiasco, do you remember the EPA Director using a ‘fake’ email address to hide political activity?  Surely you do!  The Wall Street Journal published an article about Lisa Jackson of the EPA resigning after being exposed as using an email alias “Richard Windsor” to conduct official business in an attempt to evade federal transparency laws.  WAIT?  Didn’t Barack Obama declare that his administration would be the most transparent in American history?  TRANSPARENT?  If you deem hiding, obstructing, and obfuscating investigations transparent, they were clear as a clean glass.

To lend credibility to President Trump’s charge about wiretapping and targeting him and his campaign, do you remember how the Obama administration, under the direct order of Eric Holder illegally conducted surveillance of reporter James Rosen?  Surely you cannot forget that.  They named him a ‘criminal co-conspirator’ under the Espionage Act of 1917. He was deemed a flight risk and sought to destroy his career.  All bogus.  But, now the left and the media are trying to paint President Trump as a lunatic and needing a straitjacket and padded cell to keep him from harming himself and others.  Mr. Rosen was called a “criminal co-conspirator” for doing his job, a job that BHO did not like and Erick Holder the Obama attack dog went after him.

We have the lies by the CIA, FBI, DNI, NSA, EPA, IRS, DOJ, and many other initials in the Washington bureaucracy to cause us concern.  The disaster known as Obamacare was rammed through using methods that virtually destroy any hope of bipartisanship in future endeavors and Barack Obama’s attempts to influence the Israeli elections to defeat the Prime Minister, a man he detests all reveal the attitude toward our Constitution, the Republic, and the American system of government.  Barack Obama has left carnage in his wake and America will be decades recovering if we can.  He is continuing to advance a coup against the sitting president and with the help of the Congressional Democrats, the liberal activist judges and the Left-Wing Mouth Pieces the MSM he is doing damage.  Hopefully, the American people are not dumb enough to take the bait, drink the Kool-Aid, and allow it to happen.  I am beginning a new Cry for November 2018 – NO MORE!  No more to the activist who wants to destroy our nation.  No more to spineless politicians who claim to be conservative. No more to political prostitution to gain position, power, and purse.  NO MORE!

BLOG POST 1 - Dollars

I can understand why the Swamp dwellers are infuriated with the proposed budget of President Trump, it siphons off much of their graft and limits their ability to bribe and extort.  Is it a perfect budget?  HARDLY, but it is a beginning and one that we have not seen in a long time, if ever.  It is a budget that takes the campaign promises and proposed policies and translates them into real $$$ so that everyone can see.  It shifts the needle from foreign entitlements, wasteful bureaucracies, and needless spending to those areas that make America safe and will help make America prosperous again.  It is, truly, a budget that puts America first.  I said AMERICA not factions within America, but AMERICA!

I have been appalled year after year at the weak-willed, big government mentality of the Republicans on matters of spending that make them almost indistinguishable from the Democrats.  Those in positions of power realize that they need MONEY to continue their quest for position and power.  The elitist professional politicians are interested in permanence in office not perpetuating the American Dream and Purpose.  They were elected by people who expected them to REPRESENT those voting for them, but they quickly reveal the constituents are not the focus POWER is.  They do not understand or believe they are in Public Service and thereby Public Servants, they believe they KNOW BETTER and have a right to ARBITRARY POWER.  We must develop the resolve to show them they are wrong, otherwise, we will continue down the path of “Government by the Elitist, for the Elitist, and of the Elitist” rather than “Of the People, for the People, and by the People.”  WHICH DO YOU PREFER?

Few, in Washington, were sufficiently alarmed by the $10 TRILLION increase in our debt under Barack Obama.  Had they been, they would have taken the austere measures that are now required to move us toward fiscal sanity.  They did not, but rather kicked the can down the road, danced without paying the piper, and now the bill has come due.  Donald Trump will be the villain and a virtual Darth Vader or Lucifer himself for his proposals but someone must man up to the task.  Those who have been succored and become addicted to the ENTITLEMENT flow of cash and services will scream the loudest.  The Democrats will paint Trump and the Republicans as HATERS of all that is good, INSENSITIVE, and HEARTLESS.  Those affected will agree with them without considering the overall picture of where we are and what we must do to survive fiscally as a nation.  If we do not deal with the problem the problem will consume us.  IT IS OUR CHOICE!

The proposed budget, that will be altered and amended in Congress proposes some whopping but much needed cuts including a 29% cut in the State Department budget that will deal with FOREIGN ENTITLEMENTS where we have attempted for years to buy friends.  That has not, does not, and will not work.  I am a proponent of ZERO BASED BUDGETING where everything is on the table and begins at ZERO and we commit to any program what is truly deemed necessary and eliminate duplication and waste, as much as is possible.  There is a 21% cut in the Department of Agriculture and Labor and while I do not know all the specifics in those departments I know there is pork, and entitlements inserted in their budgets as well as incredible waste.  Therefore, I am okay with cutting where cuts need to be made.  There is an 18% cut to the budget of Health and Human Services, and that is probably a reasonable cut with the waste, duplication, and bad spending that has produced little to no results.  Then there is a 31% cut to the Environmental Protection Agency which has, over the past few years, become a weapon used to stifle American industry and thereby do damage to the American people.  Do we need to protect our environment?  YES, but in a reasonable manner.  We cannot allow the ineptitude and machinations of that department strangle economic growth and place human beings at the bottom of the food chain of life.

The Trump budget increases spending for Defense, which we need with the depletion of our military over the past 8 years.  It increases the budgets of Homeland Security, Veterans Affairs, and programs such as school choice.  The atrocities of the VA and the need to care for our veterans is, in my view, without argument.  If we ask men and women to place themselves in harm’s way to protect and defend us we should be committed to caring for them in their time of need.  Our Homeland is under constant threat from Islamic jihadist and others who desire to dismantle, disrupt, and destroy our Constitutional Republic.  We need more border security, more personnel and equipment to ensure the safety of America and Americans, so I am in agreement with increasing the budget for Homeland providing it is not wasted and used in duplicate spending that is senseless.  We have failed in our dumping billions into the inner cities and failing public schools, therefore we should take those funds or portions of them and offer an opportunity for better choice in education for ALL AMERICANS.  I do not say that all public schools are failing but many are and when people are allowed to reach for a better education their world dramatically changes and that is good for America.

The Swamp dwellers will rail against any efforts such as this budget and the incessant rhetoric and vitriol will flow like a rushing river.  I pray that the President and his team are not deterred by the outcries and accusations and will continue striving to fulfill the campaign promises and truly place America first again.  Why fund the United Nations when it is opposed to virtually all that American has stood for and stands for?  Why provide monies to nations that support, sponsor, or refuse to confront terrorism?  Why provide funds for graft, corruption, cronyism, and greed when there are millions of Americans hurting and needing a window of opportunity and a breath of hope?  WHY?  Only to facilitate the professional political elite in their quest for power can explain it not justify it.  THAT I DO NOT SUPPORT, so I want us to do some serious belt-tightening in Washington and move to reducing the debt and deficit.  Even with these cuts, the federal budget will grow from $4 TRILLION to $5 TRILLION in a decade.  This is assuredly not a starvation budget because the Big Government will continue to become larger even with this type of austere budgeting.  Imagine what it would do without it?

BLOG POST 3 - Media Spin

That is very simplistic but accurately sums up how the media contrasts the beginnings of those two presidents.  One of the guiltiest revisionists in the media is the New York Times, which is without question a major mouthpiece of the Leftist Democrats in America.  They released a recent article declaring that Barack Obama was handed a colossal mess but handed Donald Trump incredibly low unemployment, relative quite around the world, and an economy that was strong.  I wonder what world they were referring to, but I don’t want to be too cynical.

The Times, as have the Democrats, shouted from the rooftop that when Barack Obama was sworn in as President we were losing upwards of 700,000 jobs per month, the financial system was about to collapse, and the world was in shambles.  They claim that by the time he gave his first speech to the joint session of Congress he had righted most of those wrongs and turned things around.  I wonder what world they are referring to, but again I must guard against cynicism.  They credited him with the passage of a stimulus bill through the Democrat-controlled Congress, passing a gender pay parity act, an inspirational children’s health insurance law, and issued executive orders that would result in the stabilization the financial woes of the auto industry.  He, they said, was facing a second Great Depression rivaled only by the original Great Depression and he went to the podium unifying the country.  Again, I wonder what country they are referring to, and this time I can’t help my cynicism.

If you examine the facts, you will discover that the GDP numbers reported by “Macroeconomic Advisers” indicate that the economy had begun to stabilize BEFORE Obama took office.  Wait, that can’t be possible because after all we must blame Bush and that would strip us of that ability.  They reported that the worst monthly declines were in the rearview mirror and the recession was deemed to have ended five months into his presidency but long before any of his actions could have taken effect.  WOW!  He can’t get the credit and Bush can’t get the total blame, so what shall we do?  I read that economist Alan Blinder and Mark Zandi have credited the $700 billion TARP program, signed into law by George W. Bush and the aggressive action by the FED in 2008 as being, “substantially more powerful in bringing the recession to an end than anything done by Barack H. Obama.”  Oops, we must delete that for it will not neatly fit into the leftist narrative of the miracle-working powers of Mr. Obama.

Regarding the disastrous Stimulus Package of Mr. Obama, it did virtually nothing to turn the economy around but was a grand gift to the Democrats to fulfill their wish list of spending projects.  What about those illusive ‘executive actions’ that Mr. Obama issued to stabilize the financial and automotive sectors of our economy, can we have the list?  Sorry, there is no list and one would assume that the reason the Times listed them as numerous is because they knew they were bogus and could not offer specifics.  Alternative Universe, with Alternate Facts, to support a Virtual Reality in the Utopian World of Politics.  The truth is that his executive actions did more harm to the auto industry than good.  His ‘tailpipe emissions and fuel mandates’ did not stabilize the industry it harmed them greatly.  Facts reveal President Bush had already delivered to GM and Chrysler BILLIONS in emergency loans to keep them afloat, but Bush bad, Trump bad, Obama good.  Does anyone remember Obama’s “Cash for Clunkers” program?  What a disaster!  Who benefited from that debacle?  Mainly the Auto Unions.  But, Mr. Obama did sign a $500,000 salary cap for executives of companies receiving bailout money.  WHOOPEE!  He signed the incredibly bad Dodd-Frank ‘financial reform’ bill and that totally failed to achieve the stated goal of making the banking system safer.  That came from Obama’s own financial adviser, Larry Summers.  WOW! 

What we have now is what we have had only worse.  The Republicans are evil and the Democrats are the saviors of the people.  NO, I do not believe that but that is how they spin the narrative and with the incessant harping by the MSM, the tired rhetoric of the Democrats and the failure of Republicans to expose the fraud for what it is has led to millions believing the diatribe and accepting it as Law and Gospel.

Donald Trump is the first president in a very long time to actually take steps to fulfill his campaign promises.  Politicians are not supposed to do that, are they?  Not according to Washington standards.  How often have we elected a politician who made promises that seemed so sincere only to find that once they were sworn in something in the water, the air, or in the Halls of Congress transformed them and they conveniently forgot their promises and compromised their convictions selling us down the river?  I don’t know if there is a machine they send them through that transforms them, if it is the water, or something in the ventilation system or something more real world, like money, hunger for power, and position but something happens.

I am praying that the Trump administration will hold true to the promises and actually deliver to the American the lion’s share of his commitments.  I pray that the Republicans will find it within themselves to not squander this opportunity and become Public Servants and fight for us.  Will that happen?  Time will tell, but if it does not I cannot envision the Republicans, now in office, not being held accountable in 2018 and beyond.
