TAX RATES AND TAX REVENUE A SIMPLE VIEW…


BLOG POST 1 - Tax Rates

Jesus said, “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her!  How often I wanted to gather your children together, the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling.  Behold your house is being left to you desolate!”  (Matthew 23:37-38).  I almost feel the same way regarding America, politicians, pundits, and the proponents of Tax and Spend and Spend and Tax that prevails in Washington.  Resisting reality, ignoring the truth, and living on lies and engaging in continued denial will result in America being abandoned by sound economics and leave us desolate.

I wish political lies would die soon after they are presented and assuredly after they have been debunked and exposed, but they do not.  I will not attempt to explain why and I probably could not, at least not sufficiently or exhaustively.  What I do want to address, the issue of the Liberal Leftist Democrat and RINO lie of “tax cuts for the rich.”  Every time we move toward actual ‘tax cuts’ that cry is the immediate sound that comes from the shadows of the Left, echoed by the Media, and embraced by the gullible and haters of anyone with anything they do not have.

How can this lie survive when it has been refuted by facts dating as far back as the 1920’s and as one writer said this mantra could and probably should be called “tax lies for the gullible.”  How many have heard and maybe bought into the distortion and fabrication that the Regan Tax Cuts were “tax cuts for the rich” and led to massive federal government deficits.  They hated and hate “supply side economics” which normally leads to higher federal revenue via the pathway of lower tax rates.  Why would they hate that?  Because it would strip them of the weapon of class envy and they fear losing power and know that fear enslaves people.  The facts, check it out for yourself, are that every year of Reagan’s term of office the revenues collected by the federal government were higher than income taxes during any previous years.  HOW CAN THAT BE?  After all the Left tell us that if you cut taxes the deficit increases and any tax cut must be PAID FOR by some other means.  NO, a true tax rate reduction results in increased revenue and every American should applaud that happening.  It helps individuals at all levels of the economic spectrum, businesses small and large, and provides more funds to the federal government to waste.

In the annual Economic Report of the President, we find the history of federal revenues and expenditures over several decades.  That is just one place you can find the truth if you are inclined to look for and are able to receive it.  It may leave a bitter taste in your mouth and not be the normal liberal Kool-Aid you are accustomed to but if you can take it, the Truth will, open your Eyes and liberate you.  Ronald Reagan’s Tax Cuts resulted in higher federal income tax revenue. That happened under President Coolidge as well. But let’s not stop there and we will discover that under Presidents Kennedy and George W. Bush revenue increased as tax rates were reduced.

I find it most interesting and believe it is rooted in jealousy and envy rather than reality to argue that the Rich are not “paying their fair share.”  They pay more and even more proportionally than most especially the 47% who pay nothing.  When people are allowed to use more of their money, especially the rich, they invest more and thereby earn more which results in paying more in taxes.  No, it is not as simple as that but that points to the reality that the lie is based on fabrication and falsehood as well as envy and jealousy.  The rich not only paid higher total taxes after the ‘tax cuts’ were enacted and they also paid a higher percentage of all taxes.  So much for a ‘tax cut for the rich’ as a justification for keeping the monstrosity of the Internal Revenue Service which is a Gestapo-like weapon of the leftist.  Imagine the disdain of the Left when the New York Times issued a front-page story on July 9, 2006, reporting “An unexpectedly steep rise in tax revenues from corporations and the wealthy is driving down the projected budget deficit this year.”  BURN THE PRESSES that cannot be allowed to be reported, at least not in the minds of the liberal leftist Democrats and RINO Republicans.  You must keep the lie alive in order to keep people in the dark, enslaved, and fan the flames of CLASS ENVY. 

I personally am convinced that if we had a flat tax of 10% with no deductions the tax revenue would increase dramatically.  I know many on all sides will gnarl at that proposition because, to some, deductions are more important than the tax rate and tax amount owed.  I have faith in the American people and believe that historically we have proven to be a very charitable people meaning that a no deduction tax rate of 10% would not hamper charitable contributions but would very possibly increase them because people would have more disposable income from which to give.  Please stop demanding that a Tax Rate Reduction is only good for the rich and that if we reduce the tax rate we must PAY FOR THAT CUT and thereby hurt the people on the lower end of the spectrum.  It has and will produce MORE REVENUE, not LESS and you pay for a Tax Cut with a Tax Cut.  It pays for itself!  The data supports that argument and I urge you to consider the prospects of having more dollars in your pocket each payday and each year at tax filing time.  I believe that if you ever see it you will DEMAND IT.

THE INALIENABLE RIGHT of LIFE…


BLOG POST 3 - Rights

The Founders and Framers recognized this basic human right as being among our inalienable God-given rights.  No government or society has the authority to abrogate that right their obligation is to protect it not nullify or abridge it.  Society has the right to require the life of an individual in certain violations of civil and moral law, but only after a fair and impartial trial of his/her peers and with sufficient evidence and witnesses to validate the charges.  The Declaration of Independence uses three specific ‘unalienable’ rights to emphasize the value of human rights and their validity and the first of those three is LIFE.

I go to the Bible as my final authority on all matters of life including government and then turn to our Constitution.  It is upon looking to Scripture that I discover that included in the sundry civil laws our Creator gave concerned our homes and the protection thereof.  In Exodus 22:2 we read, “If the thief is found breaking in, and he is struck so that he dies, there shall be no guilt for his bloodshed.”  You have the Right of “Self-Defense” and the Right to “Protect Your Castle” which is your home, your family, and your possessions.  Our Founders and the Framers felt so strongly about this they developed what is known as the “Castle Doctrine.”  James Wilson, a founding father and signer of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and was an original justice on the Supreme Court declared:

“Homicide is enjoined [required] when it is necessary for the defense of one’s person or house… Every man’s house is deemed, by the law, to be his castle; and the law, while it invests him with the power, [places] on him the duty of the commanding officer [of his house].  Every man’s house is his castle… and if anyone be robbed in it, it shall be      esteemed his own fault and negligence.”

 Let me be careful to assert that I would never want to condemn anyone for being robbed.  You might be away from your home and not be able to prevent the intrusion.  What Justice Wilson was proclaiming was that each of us has a personal responsibility to PROTECT and DEFEND our Homes, Families, and Property and to use whatever force is necessary for doing so.  That would demand that we have the ability to protect that castle.  If you are one that is so averse to firearms and so opposed to engaging in any physical defense of yourself, your family, or your possessions you may find yourself at the mercy of the thief or intruder and dependent on the police to arrive providing you can notify them.  Our Founders and the Framers believed that this was more than a Right it was a Responsibility.  Thus, any argument they wanted to deny citizens the right to keep and bear arms falls short of honest interpretation.

The Right of Life is more than ‘self-defense’ because life is more than simply breathing and being alive.  Life, in the biblical sense and based on what I believe was the objective and understanding of the Founders and Framers is the ability to pursue your life’s ambitions and purposes.  That links this Right to the other two mentioned (Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness) in an unmistakable manner.  The Founders and Framers recognized some important things which I feel compelled to bring to our remembrance.  Their statement in the Declaration of Independence and throughout the Constitution recognized the existence of God our Creator.  They recognized that He gave some rights that are inalienable to each person. They voiced their belief that the government exists first and foremost to secure to every individual the exercise of his or her God-given Rights.  Simply, we have Rights that did not come from government and therefore cannot be taken away by the government.  Only despotic tyrannical governments suspend or deny rights, not Constitutional Republics.  When government attempts to infringe upon our rights it violates the spirit and letter of the Constitution and assumes a god-like position of authority.  I SAY NO!  I stand against any politician, government entity, edict, or policy that does so.  I SAY NO to any politician who will not protect and defend the Constitution and thereby our rights and am committed to helping them return to private life.

The Right of Life is for ALL PEOPLE and that most assuredly includes that unborn baby in the womb.  That person, yet unborn, cannot defend him or herself and must rely on those of us who are mature and responsible adults to protect and defend them and their rights.  When government enacts laws that violate that person’s rights that law is unbiblical and unconstitutional and should be rejected, reversed, and/or repealed.  You may disagree but unless you deny that baby is a human being you will have incredible difficulty making a valid or reasoned argument.  Do the God-given inalienable rights not also extend to that person in the womb?  There are moral, biblical, and even legal arguments and considerations when Life is the determining factor as to who lives and who dies during a pregnancy.  I shudder to think of the heavy burden and weight that the mother, father, and family must make when faced with the question of the life of the mother versus that of the unborn baby.  But in the matter of Abortion on Demand and convenience, I see no wiggle-room morally, ethically, constitutionally, or biblically.  That is my view and you have a right to yours.  You must settle that issue within your own conscience if you can.

Our Founders and the Framers recognized that every human being has the RIGHT to LIFE.  It is my prayer that we return to limited government and lift the regulations that are stifling our ability to enjoy LIFE, LIBERTY, and PURSUE HAPPINESS.  May we return to a constitutional state where everyone is protected under the law and everyone’s rights guaranteed.

THE NON-INVESTIGATION INVESTIGATION OF HILLARY CLINTON…


BLOG POST 1 - Non Investigation

Why would I say non-investigation investigation?  Well, that is simple and complex but I’ll try to give a few reasons for my statement.  I would also like to highlight the incredible disparity between the “so-called” investigation of Hillary and her emails on an unsecured server and the Russian Connection of Donald Trump and how Russia stole the election from Hillary and the Democrats.  Those who know me know that I do not believe the latter and do not believe there was a genuine investigation on the former point.  There you have the nutshell of my assertion.  But that does not suffice for inquiring minds so let us dig a little deeper into the mystery of the Grand Jury subpoenas but the absence of a true Grand Jury investigation.  What a tangled web they have weaved in their attempt to deceive.

There is a devoted effort to investigate the Russian involvement in our 2016 Election but not a smidgen of concern over the Justice Department’s meddling in a criminal investigation by the FBI?  I don’t think I have to address the reason for that very deeply but it was POLITICS and nothing less.  Thanks to Judicial Watch we have learned that the Obama Justice Department and the FBI actually used Grand Jury subpoenas regarding BlackBerry service providers during the “investigation.”  That fact contradicts the previous reporting of the DOJ, FBI, and Clinton herself that NO GRAND JURY was involved.  That would be a bit difficult to defend since there were Grand Jury subpoenas involved, wouldn’t it?  I guess not if you are a liberal Democrat and have the political arm of the Justice Department and FBI at your disposal.

It appears that the subpoenas were limited, sketchy and low-risk.  WHY?  Because they did not want to actually uncover anything they could not hide or walk away from.  There were no subpoenas for Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson to provide access to their private computers which were used to review Hillary’s emails.  There is firm evidence that they had access to classified emails on those computers which are UNLAWFUL.  Rather than using subpoenas, the DOJ made promises not to use the evidence uncovered against them in exchange for access.  THAT IS PHONY and reveals that it was not a true investigation but a sham to give cover and find out what needed to be hidden and suppressed.  There was no deep investigation, no subpoenas for her cronies and subordinates in the State Department and Campaign.  WHY?  You dare not dig too deeply in an area where you might uncover the unwanted truth.  This investigation was conducted very differently from the normal criminal investigations and therefore I call it the “non-investigation” investigation.  It was for show not seeking substance and truth.

Maybe you were aware that prosecutors are no longer required to meet with a grand jury or even ask permission to issue a subpoena.  Also, there is almost always a grand jury in session in virtually any federal court district so no need to convene a special one for this investigation.  When the subpoena requires a witness to turn over information to the FBI or law enforcement they often do not have to show up personally, the physical evidence is taken and evaluated.  The catch is that it is a genuine expectation that the prosecutor will eventually present the information for grand jury action.  NOT SO it would seem in this investigation but alas, it is a “non-investigation” investigation.

We know that in 2015 the Inspector General for the U.S. intelligence agencies revealed that CLASSIFIED information had been transmitted and stored on Hillary’s private server.  That was the signal to the FBI that crimes may have been committed and an investigation would be opened.  That is the norm.  The DOJ acknowledged that they had received a criminal referral from the IG but later backtracked and softened the referral to simply a concern about the emails and attempted to make Hillary the victim, not the perp.  But what else would we expect?  Hillary continually proclaimed that this was not a “criminal investigation” but a simple “security review.”  Seriously?  The FBI is now conducting Security Reviews for politicians.  Sorry but that dog won’t hunt.  As this progressed the FBI Director James Comey virtually had to rewrite the statute in order to avoid charging Hillary with a crime.  Charging her would have been unacceptable to the Obama administration, therefore the lapdog Comey, as any good soldier, toed the line and manipulated the system.  And some wonder why the rank and file citizen does not trust our justice system.

I have learned from some legal eagles that the issue was or should never have been Hillary’s intent to transmit or receive classified information but KNOWLEDGE.  If she knew, and she did then she could and should have been charged, at a minimum, with willfully mishandling classified information or for gross negligence.  Both are serious crimes, but no such charge for Director Comey said, “No problem, she didn’t intend to do any harm.”  Sorry, Director but that is not what the law states and you know it.  Compare the actions against Hillary and those against General Petraeus and you see the hypocrisy and why I would call this a “non-investigation” investigation.

Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and the myriad of others who acted illegally are not and will likely never be brought to justice, at least not on earth, for their crimes and unethical activities.  Congress in its current makeup will never have the spine to tackle that issue and I do not believe that President Trump will push for the proper and just conclusion of a genuine investigation on the matter.  President Trump will continue to endure the endless and incessant accusations about Russian collusion and virtually nothing he does will absolve him, in the minds of those who want him guilty.  AMERICA, it is up to us, the citizens, WE THE PEOPLE, to address issues such as this and the best way we can do so is AT THE POLLS.  Voting is important and unifying for America is essential.  How bold, brave, and determined are you?

THE TRUTH THAT IS DESTROYING US…


BLOG POST 1 - Truth

 Before you freak out let me address the title and insert my agreement with the Word of God and reality that TRUTH, God’s Truth makes us free.  However, there are some admissions that reveal some truths that DO NOT SET FREE but if the actions of those truths are allowed to persist enslave and destroy.  I’m not trying to be coy but there was a revelation by MSNBC’s stalwart, Chris Matthews as he was being interviewed by Chuck Todd that is TRUTH but the actions of that truth are incredibly detrimental to the Constitutional Republic and future of America as a Sovereign and Free nation.

I will confess I was shocked to read and then listen to his rant.  No, I was not shocked by the revelation of what they were doing and intend but his openness and honesty in admitting it.  He said, “This president (Donald Trump) has gale-force winds against him.  He comes in with the media killing him every day.”  He continued and said, “The New York Times does enterprise pieces, four or five a day against him.”  News Flash, SO DO MANY OTHERS!  He went on a rant about how John F. Kennedy won by only 100,000 votes but when he came to power the media championed him and shaped public opinion to drive poll and approval ratings upward in his favor.  He argued that many did not vote but after the election, virtually everyone claimed to have voted for JFK.  His argument was that virtually NO ONE will admit they voted for Trump.  Mr. Matthews, might I suggest you are asking the wrong people and using another skewed poll to champion your cause and make your case.  I recall that after Barack Obama’s election it was not long before one found it difficult to find anyone who would admit voting for him, but the media made him appear as the champion and choice of ALL THE PEOPLE. 

Messrs. Matthews and Todd went into the typical leftist rhetoric, diatribe, and spin decrying the intelligence of Trump supporters while suggesting that we were emotionally driven without intellectual foundation.  Of course, they argued that those on the Left were not driven by emotion but rational and intelligent thought.  Seriously?  I wonder if either of you has actually watched the riots, demonstrations, protests, the college campuses, and listened to the media reports or the arguments of Democrats in Congress?  Rational and Intelligent thought?  HARDLY, what we are seeing are the flames of emotional hate fanned to a dangerous level and that is THE TRUTH.

Chuck Todd then lashed out at President Trump saying, “I think the first 100 days are the easiest period of a presidency.”  Normally, that is correct but we have a situation today we have NEVER had in our history where before Day One it was decided to wage war against this president and prevent him from achieving anything and block the fulfillment of his campaign promises.  Despite that opposition and obstructionism, there have been some achievements but due to lack of Unity among Republicans the Democrats, Media, Protesters, and Activist have been successful in KILLING TRUMP, as they say, is their objective.  Mr. Matthews admitted that he found it almost impossible to refer to Donald Trump by his proper title, President of the United States of America.  This is the same man that said, Barack Obama was the finest president America has ever had while ignoring all the scandals, fraud, deception, lies, distortions, and damage done by his administration.  They have long ceased from being NEWS AGENCIES and MEDIUMS to being a POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE for the Democrats.

THE TRUTH that is destroying America is what the MAINSTREAM MEDIA, Activist, and Liberal Politicians are doing.  They have vacated any premise that they are interested in America and revealed they are interested in their agenda, partisan politics, and ideology and if America suffers as they attack that is acceptable collateral damage in their minds.  THE TRUTH that will set us free is to acknowledge what is happening and take steps to rectify that condition.  If we need to boycott the media and allow them to crumble financially, may we find the resolve to do what is necessary.  If we need to vote out of office every politician in Washington, at State and local levels who are more interested in ideological partisan agendas than America, then may we find the resolve and unity to do it.  If we want to reclaim our Republic we MUST face the Cold Hard Truth of what the media is all about, what partisan politics is all about, and the fact that remaining a HOUSE DIVIDED will result in our destruction.

How much is the Republic worth to you?  How much are you willing to sacrifice to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States of America and thereby keep America as the Free Sovereign Republic?  Will you PRAY fervently and effectively?  Will you LABOR devotedly and tirelessly?  Will you INVEST your time and money in pursuing the best good of America?  Will you demand TRUTH and reject RHETORIC?  That cuts both ways and I want a return to the media being news reporting agencies, not political arms that seek to make the news or offer personal political opinion designed to shape and shift public opinion.  I want a return to being ONE NATION, under God, where the pursuit and desire are that we have Liberty and Justice for all as we are allowed to pursue Life, Liberty, and Happiness.

AGREEMENT – America’s Downfall…


BLOG POST 2 - Agreement

No, being in agreement is not and will not be the cause of America’s demise, destruction, reduction or lapsing into something other than the Constitutional Republic designed and desired by the Framers and Founders.  It is the LACK OF AGREEMENT or being a HOUSE DIVIDED that will bring about our calamity and continue to impose on us the direness of darkness politically, socially, morally, economically, and spiritually in America.  Please do not take that statement to mean that I believe we are doomed, I do not.  We are not doomed providing we alter our course and return to some of the founding principles upon which this nation was founded and operated for many decades before the common era.

We are not ONE NATION.  That borders on my being Mr. Obvious but let me continue and explain.  We are not in AGREEMENT in America and the DIVISION is more pronounced than I have ever witnessed in my numerous decades on the planet.  I will concede that we have NEVER been in total agreement in America but have found the pathway and cause to come together for a common purpose in the past.  I’m not sure that is possible today because of the DIVISION now existing and being nurtured in our society.  We were not in total agreement in 1776 but there were sufficient numbers of citizens who believed in the cause of Freedom and embraced the vision of a Free Constitutional Republic to enable us to stand, having done all, and stand firm in faith and with the conviction to fight to the finish.  We were not in total agreement in WWI or WWII but sufficient numbers of Americans rallied around the cause of preventing despotism from controlling the known world and we made the national commitment to fight to the finish.  We AGREED that stopping the Nazi’s and Imperial Japan in WWII was more important than our political, social, or ideological differences and we UNITED to Win.  We were not in total agreement on 9/11/2001 but there was visible evidence that the spirit of American Patriotism was alive and well and we crossed party lines to speak against terrorism and united, at least for a time in sufficient numbers to demonstrate to the world WE WERE AMERICA a Republic of United States, and that was refreshing.

The UNITY diminished and in November 2008 we woke up to realize that those because too many who were conservative, desired the Constitutional Republic of the Founders and Framers were either apathetic or had drifted from their resolve and Barack Obama became President.  That occurred again in 2012 to my dismay for I could not imagine a nation inflicting the kind of pain and wounds upon itself a second time with all the evidence of that administration’s plans of destruction and the facilitation of our enemies and desertion of our friends.  There were lies about Benghazi, fabrications as to the state of the economy, denial of the extent and impact of Islamic terrorism, and many other factors.  Once again, millions of those who should have gone to the polls exercised their right to protest by not voting and America suffered.  The DIVISION grew racially, socially, economically, morally, and politically and by the time 2016 arrived there were sufficient numbers of America citizens who said ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and rejected the Democrats and their Liberal Progressive Socialist position and candidate and elected Donald Trump, the Republican nominee as the 45th President of these United States of America.

It has not been the Leftist alone who not only oppose President Trump but hate him with such a passion they are willing to do anything to stop, impede, and/or destroy him.  The Never Trump Crowd is standing with them in resistance and our DIVISION has produced an impasse that nothing short of a miracle of God can bridge.  We are a DIVIDED HOUSE and the biblical and historic warning is that if we remain so WE WILL FALL.  Jesus explained in Matthew 12:22-28 that any kingdom divided against itself is brought to ultimate ruin and falls.  We find in Amos 3:3 the truth that two cannot walk together unless they are in agreement.  The question I feel compelled to ask is, “To What Extent Are We to Be in Agreement to Succeed as A Republic?”  We will never be in TOTAL AGREEMENT nationally or individually.  That is a human impossibility and even with a sweeping revival from God, total agreement will not be a reality on earth so long as man rules man.  But can we bridge the chasm of division and find enough foundation for agreement, that we can advance the cause of freedom and liberty in this nation and work together for the good of the nation?   I hope we can, but the evidence of today in the funded protests, the collegiate insanity regarding free speech or the lack thereof, the determined obstructionism of Congress and the Never Trump supporters to DENY him any success is daunting.

America, we have enemies that are salivating over our division and long for an opportunity to strike in our weakness and distraction.  There are those who have vowed to destroy us and have learned they can accomplish more from within than by frontal assault.  They have infiltrated our government, bureaucratic organizations, the MSM, and our college campuses.  They have a platform for promoting division and disseminating discord and misrepresenting truth fanning the flames of DIVISION.  America is more important than our personal preference in elected officials.  I wonder who the Never Trump Crowd would be fully satisfied with?  I wonder what President most have every been fully satisfied with?  The Liberals would only accept a radical leftist so it is not they who cause me to ask my question. We will NEVER be in total agreement and if we reject the policies and agenda of this president based on our dislike for him personally we will do harm to the Republic that may not be repairable.  I do not ask anyone to like Donald Trump only seek to find it within your heart to lay aside your personal dislike and rally behind those things he advances that are good for America.  I believe it is possible to become so determined in our rejection of a person’s person that we fail to hear or see their actions that are positive and good for the nation.  I know that some will take offense to that assertion and demand they are only standing on principle and because of the character of the person the politician must be summarily rejected and all he stands for or advances unacceptable.  I disagree and believe that America is more important than my preference.  That disagreement does not mean we cannot find common ground and WORK or WALK TOGETHER for the Good of the Republic.  I urge you to join me in evaluating every proposal of this administration and if they are in the best interest of America, rally behind them.  I also ask that you join me in praying for America and our leaders that they will make the right choices and that Congress will awaken to the reality that America is more important than partisan politics.

BLOG POST 2 - Political Insaity

Will it?  Not in the foreseeable future!  Now that I have made a statement that sounds rooted in despair let me expand on what I see happening and what I believe can happen.  You may disagree with all or part of what I theorize or you may find yourself in agreement.  Both are okay and you are entitled to your opinion as I am mine.  I won’t attack you for disagreeing and hope you will treat me in the same manner, but again that is your decision.

When I read and heard that the University of California-Davis’s student senate voted to allow the removal of the American flag from its meetings, I was saddened deeply.  I cannot say that I was surprised but angered and saddened.  The incessant move of the Left to politicize everything and turn from the symbols and principles upon which America was founded deeply disturbs me.  I am a combat veteran, having served in Vietnam in 1967 and consider myself a patriot, declare myself a Constitutionalist, and am devoted to my Christian faith.  Those factors drive everything in my life, socially, morally, economically, relationally, spiritually, and politically.  The UC-Davis group issued a statement that “patriotism is different for every individual.”  It is not that I disagree with that statement but can readily see where that would lead and the political correctness and over emphasis on tolerance is its root.  They declared that, in their view, there would be times when flying the American flag in an American University in America would be inappropriate.  WHEN WOULD THAT BE?  I would love to ask them that question but I already know the answer.  They deem it inappropriate to fly the America flag at an American University in America when Muslims or people of other nationalities who do not love America are present.  To this group at UC-Davis, the feelings of those people, their political, religious, or ideological views trump America and we must withdraw our American pride and commitment to the Sovereign Republic called the United States of America to accommodate them.  NO, WE DO NOT!  Find that anywhere else in the world.  That is a small example of the idiocy of the mindset of the Progressive, Liberal, Socialist, Leftist now running amok in America on our campuses, in our streets, and deeply entrench in the Democrat Party.

This type of mentality, rhetoric, and ideological positioning is the result of at least two generations of Progressives controlling Higher Education and impacting all levels of public education.  This is the result of the anarchist of the 60’s being college professors today on many campuses especially in liberal-leaning institutions.  Social Engineering is threatening our constitutional liberty in America and we have allowed it to go unimpeded for too long.  The Obama plan for higher education and that of the Democrats, Progressives, Liberals, Socialist was and is to shift our focus from faith, family, and freedom to a societal view that makes the collective more important than the individual.  They have and do seek to completely wipe out individual rights for the sake of collective rights.  Remember Hillary’s declaration, “It takes a village to raise a child?”  The Leftist believe that it is government’s responsibility and right to indoctrinate, shape the view, and nudge our children to their point of view.  In a real sense, they believe it is their right to oversee the raising of our children.  They ignore the biblical and long-standing American tradition and value that the children are the responsibility of the parents.  No, to them, the children are government property and once the government has sufficiently indoctrinated them via public education and the MSM they will be eternally entrenched in the ideology of the collective and vote as they are supposed to, endorse what they are directed, and believe in the almightiness of the Government.  Those of us who oppose that are mortal enemies and must be eliminated.

Barack Obama and the Social Engineering adherents implemented the incredibly dire program known as “Common Core.”  It is worse than many thought or even think and if you take the time to read the 136 page, “A Crucible Moment: College Learning and Democracy’s Future” your blood will boil or should.  You will tremble with trepidation and perplexity over the objective of the Obama initiated “Common Core.”  The stated objective was an attempt to shift the focus of institutions of higher learning from preparing students for careers and professional employment, away from unbiased truth to focusing on social justice, community organization, development, and involvement.  It is a liberal attempt to brainwash students and make them good loyal liberals unwilling to investigate truth but doggedly devoted to the ideology of liberalism.  It is designed to destroy all national patriotism, advance the idea of globalism, and advance the idea of a borderless world as the desired objective.  That elusive utopian world of the Left where all is fair and everybody is equal.

We have a world where our children, beginning in Kindergarten and continuing through advanced learning institutions are fed a daily diet of liberalism, collectivism, and social justice designed to steer them from individualism and national patriotism.  The collective is the objective and education in this system is designed not to prepare individuals to succeed, discover truth, investigate the questions of life, but to ADAPT to the Liberal Philosophy. Those institutions are now mobilizations units of the Progressive Liberal Leftist Agenda.  Will the Push of the Leftist every stop?  NO!    It will not stop until we reclaim our schools and insist that institutions of learning promote the true scientific pursuit of truth in an unbiased manner.  It will not stop so long as we continue sending politicians to Washington who embraces the collective globalist view and rejects the constitution, American sovereignty, and willing to engage in social engineering to achieve their goals.  WE ARE THE ONLY ONES WHO CAN STOP THIS.  God is but unless we pray and become involved He will not arbitrarily do so.  He will allow us to reap what we have sown.

WHAT IS OUR IDENTIY???


BLOG POST 1 - Identity

There was a time when if you said, “America” the idea of Freedom, Strength, and an Oasis of Hope to which peoples all over the world wanted to come and become American would be the first thought.  The Liberal Leftist tell us that we are a Nation of Immigrants and that is true and false depending on how you define and understand that statement.  Our Founders and the Framers of our American Constitution, as well as the American populace, envisioned opening our doors to those who wanted to come and become American.  We were open to those who would come, add value and assimilate into our culture and system of government.  It is a fairly recent phenomenon that advances the idea that rather than assimilation we are a collective or many nations within our nation.  It is a relatively young assertion that we are supposed to exhibit a tolerance that allows us to be a smorgasbord of beliefs which are not amenable to the American Constitution.  There are those who demand that we allow the followers of Islam to incorporate Shira Law in sectors of cities ignoring our American Laws and social mores.  A house divided against itself cannot stand and in America, there is a definitive and determined attempt to divide America and the end result will be destruction. 

What is our identity?  Maybe a better question is, “What should be our identity nationally?”  What is the America of the Founders and Framers?  What is the America that made this Republic arguably the greatest nation on earth?  What is the America that will best serve Peace and Prosperity throughout the world?  When peoples around the globe hear America or American what is the image they conjure in their minds?  I understand that those who hate us see us as arrogant and they are not totally wrong.  I remember my days in the military and watched how people responded to American servicemen and the respect or lack thereof displayed.  I was not a Christian and like many soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen I drank and went to the bars to let off steam.  I watched as guy after guy would lay their money on the table and allow the waitress take whatever they desired in payment without paying attention or asking for proper change.  That was not me and I noticed that, over time, I received more respect from them than did my brothers in arms.  Why?  The image those guys presented was that we were rich Americans who had no appreciation for the value of a dollar and those people disrespected that attitude.  They valued every nickel and when I paid attention and insisted on the correct change they viewed me as someone who could relate.  In many ways, we have brought the disrespect and hate on ourselves.  That is not to say, that we deserve their ire or the terrorism that ensues.  Heaven forbid!  They would hate us if we never demonstrated arrogance and sometimes they call arrogance our belief in exceptionalism and our willingness to pursue Life, Liberty, and Happiness for everyone.  They view our system of government anathema and detest our Christian heritage and nothing we could do would alter their hate.

I want my life to be identified by my commitment to God and my devotion to Faith, Family, and Freedom.  I want my life to be identified by my defense of the American Constitution.  I want my life to be identified by my willingness to accept people as they are while not allowing them to subvert or pervert our System of Government and destroy our Republic.  I do not hate Muslims but I hate what those advancing terrorism and Sharia Law promote.  I do not hate the Illegals but hate their disrespect of our Laws and National Sovereignty and realize that allowing them to violate our laws with impunity will ultimately destroy the Republic.  I do not ask that everyone in the world follow our Republican Form of Government and do not want America to be the Policeman of the World.  I want our government to take the steps necessary to protect and defend our nation and people and stand for freedom and liberty honoring our commitment to our friends and demonstrate a willingness to stand against our enemies.

What is our identity America?  Under the previous administration, it could be characterized in some single words such as Wimp, Weak, Vacillators, Unfaithful, Disloyal, and Unreliable.  I pray that is changing and will change as we move forward under this new administration. I, as you, desire America to become or return to being the Beacon of Hope for Freedom in the world.  I desire that we, once again, demand assimilation rather than allowing our nation to become a collection of peoples diverse and desiring systems of life and government that would be destructive to our Republican Form of Government.

ARE WE APOSTATES???


BLOG POST 1- Apostasy

Why would I ask that question?  To whom am I directing the question?  I ask it because some time back I heard some people accuse Franklin Graham of being an APOSTATE because he said that “God put Donald Trump in the White House.”  Honest confession is good for the soul so let me confess, SO DO I.  I believe that it was the direct response to prayer that Donald Trump won the Election and became the 45th President of the United States of America.  Therefore, the charge of those individuals accusing Franklin Graham of being an apostate means they are also charging me and all who believe like Graham and me of being Apostates.  Is that a valid charge?

What is an APOSTATE?  By definition, it is a person who renounces a religious or political belief or principle. It is defined as someone whose beliefs have changed and who no longer belong to a religious or political group.  So, let me ask, “What did Franklin Graham and those who agree with him abandon?”  Was their declaration, rooted in their belief that God “sets up kings” and by contrast “takes down kings” as seen in Daniel 2:21 the position of an Apostate?  Is the belief that the effective fervent prayer of the righteous something that produces results as referenced in James 5:16 a condition of Apostasy?  Is the confidence that if the nation prays, turns from wickedness in repentance and seeks God will see NATIONAL HEALING as seen in 2 Chronicles 7:14 the position of an Apostate?  That would be impossible for me to accept so I believe the charge that Franklin Graham or any of us who believe that God worked to place Donald Trump in the White House makes us Apostates.  In fact, I contend it makes us the exact opposite.

The charge also included the assertion that if we believe God placed Donald Trump in the White House we must also believe that He also placed Barack Obama there. Did He?  My simple answer is yes.  Not that I believe it was God’s desire or will for Barack Obama to be President of the United States but that, as He did in times past, allowed us to reap what we have sown.  God allowed America to experience the leanness of soul because of apathy and the drift from our moral moorings we had allowed to become current reality.  Israel operated as a Theocracy where God was their head and His prophets and judges guided the nation based on God’s word and direction.  Over time, Israel decided they wanted to be like the other nations and wanted a human king to rule over them. They moved from an attitude of righteousness to a more secular mindset.  God had prophesied that through Moses and when it became a reality it came with the warning of the leanness that would result in the loss of freedom and liberty and the decline of the nation.  He granted their request and allowed them to have what they wanted and when Barack Obama ran for office, America or a large portion of it were pining for the change he offered.  They thought he would lead us into a racial, global, financial, and social utopia and God allowed America to have what she wanted even though He knew and many of us knew it was the wrong choice.  God allowed us to experience eight years of destruction so that we would once again cry out to Him for deliverance and help.  He allowed us to experience the pain that the Obama administration brought so that millions would, once again, seek His face.

I personally believe that the election of Donald J. Trump was the result of God answering the prayers of millions.  Many were like me did not get on the Trump train at the beginning, we came to the party late.  We preferred another candidate and labored for that candidate through the primaries or until our candidate dropped out of the race.  Once the choice was made by the GOP voters that Donald Trump would be the Republican nominee, I viewed him as the only possibility to defeat Hillary Clinton and stop the Progress Liberal Socialist agenda we had endured for eight years.  Therefore, although he was not my candidate originally, he became my candidate in the interest of America and the Republic.  Some found and find that position Apostasy and completely unacceptable.  I believe it to be patriotic and adhering to my faith and confidence that God raises up kings and takes them down.  It is rooted in my faith that the effective fervent prayers of the righteous avail much.  It is grounded in my belief that God has given America another chance to turn the tide and return to Him and be restored.  It is rooted in the belief that Hillary Clinton would have been Barack Obama on steroids and virtually, if not literally destroyed America.

Please hear me.  There are times I agree with President Trump and times I adamantly disagree and that will continue.  There are times I wish he was more calculated in his response to people, criticism, and objections but that is who he is and it will not likely change.  Yet, if Franklin Graham and those of us who believe that God answered prayer in the election of Donald Trump are right, America will move forward for the better IF we do our part.  We can have the man God chose for President and still not have the desired result IF we allow ourselves to be drawn into the NEVER TRUMP, OBJECTIONISM, and RESISTANCE that is being displayed today.  I do not ask anyone to like or agree with President Trump on all things but to stop being so blinded by your hate or so driven by your pride that you cannot accept him on any level.  Some were so vocal and insistent that he was evil and vile and completely unacceptable that to accept him now would mean swallowing their pride in giving him a chance.  He is in a position that he is damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t.  If he acts decisively those who hate him will insist he should not have.  If he hesitates those same people will insist he should have acted.  Therefore, I am praying for the President that he will hear the counsel of wise and godly people and continue to be largely apolitical and do what he believes best without regard for how the political winds and polls are rating his actions.  DO WHAT IS BEST FOR AMERICA PLEASE!

You may agree or disagree and that is your choice.  This is my view and like people who support and some who do not support this president, I love America.  I ask that, from that position, we seek to find common ground and move forward for the good of the republic.  The division that now exists is leading us to a full-blown blood-letting Civil War and I cannot believe that any lover of Liberty would truly desire that.  It is my prayer that we learn to work through difficulties and seek what is best and good as we seek to protect and defend the Constitution and preserve the Republic.  A sovereign and free America should be the desire of each of us and I ask that we pray for our leaders and allow God to work His desire through them and us and make America a beacon of Hope once again!

OUR GOVERNMENT HAS BECOME WORTHLESS…


BLOG POST 3 - Worthless

I did not say, “Has Our Government Become Worthless?”  Rather, I said it as a statement of fact, It Has Become Worthless!  Many of us have thought and argued that for a long time, but with all the antics, shenanigans, illegalities, cronyism, obstructionism, partisanship maneuvers, and incessant rhetoric and diatribe in Washington and the media it is too obvious to ignore.  No, I do not want to disband our government and go back to square one and hammer out a new constitution under which we are to be governed.  I’m not sure we have enough people today, as existed in the late 1700’s, who are wise enough and devoted enough to the idea and ideal of a Free Republic to achieve a positive outcome.  Those men, through long debate, serious struggle personally, mentally, emotionally, politically, and spiritually arrived at what they deemed the BEST POSSIBLE government and time has proven them right.  It was and is nothing short of miraculous when allowed to function as originally designed.  Sadly, we are so far from those principles and precepts the founders and framers would be aghast were they to see what is happening today.  Thomas Jefferson would be calling people to water the tree of liberty with blood and George Washington would be infuriated, as would most, if not all the others.  Those men knew that they did not get, individually, everything they wanted in the Constitution but they came to a workable agreement they believed would best serve the Republic for generations.

Today, in 2017, we are so embroiled in partisan activist politics we meet impasse after impasse and the Left is separated from the Right as far as the East is from the West and it seems that never the twain shall meet.  Every day, almost, there is some new revelation denied by the Left and not sufficiently challenged by the Right revealing how deep the divide and how dangerously close to total anarchy we are.  The Democrats were overconfident, thinking the election of Hillary Clinton was a slam dunk and now they are hell-bent on defeating, delegitimizing, and destroying Donald Trump and his presidency.  The damage that would result were they successful and now being done by their actions is painful to watch.  If they were truly concerned about America and the Republic I could empathize with them in their defeat, but they are not so I do not.

Now we know that Susan Rice, the national security adviser to Barack Obama, the same Susan Rice who lied about Benghazi and other things was the person who requested the names of Trump associates in the raw intelligence data and reports.  WHY?  She, as before, was asked on national television, “PBS NewsHour” about the unmasking and said, “I know nothing of this.”  Whoa, Nellie!!!  Ms. Rice, the NSA has revealed that you not only knew something about it but you asked MULTIPLE TIMES for information.  Chairman Nunes made some explosive comments about the unmasking and the ranking Democrat Adam Schiff has not seen the same data.  Congressman Schiff tries to spin the spin but won’t comment on the unmasking because if he did he’d have to out the Democrats and the Obama administration as CRIMINAL.  That will not happen from a dedicated Democrat.  This should be immediately investigated and criminal charges filed post-haste.  America deserves to know the truth and those guilty are deserving of their own bed in one of the government’s special hotels.  We have had other revelations of unlawfully or unethically gathering information by the Obama team and Democrats for political purposes.  WHERE IS THE OUTCRY?

The Hypocrisy of the Left is rendering our Government meaningless and worthless.  The Democrats are attempting to demonize everything Trump does and everyone he nominates and accusing them of things the Left has been guilty of historically.  Jeff Sessions was accused of being Ku Klux Klan but the empirical evidence was that as A/G of Alabama Senator Sessions took on the Klan, defended civil rights, and upheld the law.  Concerns about the KKK is interesting since the Democrats have a long history of appointing or including former members of the Klan in their ranks and government jobs.  President Franklin Roosevelt appointed a man who had been a member of the Klan to the Supreme Court, namely Hugo Black.  Senate Democrats from the North and South voted overwhelmingly to confirm Justice Black. President Harry Truman, who himself was a member of the Klan for a short time, named as his Attorney General, a man widely believed to be a Klansman, Tom Clark.  Mr. Clark’s racism was so well known that black leader Paul Robeson called his appointment, “a gratuitous and outrageous insult to my people.”  In more recent history the Democrats ousted Teddy Kennedy as their whip and elected Klansman Robert Byrd in his place.

Allow me to highlight a few of their hypocrisies and inconsistencies.  The Democrats are Pro-Abortion but Anti-Capital punishment.  They claim to be Pro-Technology but Anti-Free Market.  They are Pro-Homosexual and Pro-Muslim at the same time.  They are largely Pro-Darwinian Evolution and Anti-Human Domination.  They defend Religious Freedom for all Religions except Christianity.  They are Pro-Education but Anti-School Choice.  The claim that anyone disagreeing with them is engaging in Hate Speech and promoting Hate but if they deliver vile and vitriol they are simply being patriotic.  They claim to be Pro-Women but viciously attack conservative women such as Sarah Palin and others.  If the Democrats are not Racist, why do they insist on categorizing everyone by the color of their skin?  They claim to be Pro-Jew but they are consistently Anti-Israel.    Those are a few of the myriad of examples we could offer of their hypocritical and incoherent and indefensible positions reveal another reason our Government has become WORTHLESS. 

Can we fix the problem?  Not easily, but yes, we can.  It will require a 1776 type dedication and commitment to draining the swamp, sweeping the halls of congress clean, and refusing to accept anything other than a return to our Constitutional Republic and governance.  Do we have that resolve?  TIME WILL TELL.  We can fix the problem only if we return to our founding principles and return to prayer for our nation.  There is hope but not if we attempt to ignore problems and continue conducting business as usual.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN GOOD PEOPLE WON’T…


BLOG POST 1 - Do Nothing

I know that my title is an incomplete sentence but hopefully it will serve as a catalyst for us to consider what happens when Good People will not serve, will not speak out and speak up.  There is a quote that has surfaced in various forms and attributed to Thomas Jefferson, Edmund Burke and others regarding the foothold of tyranny being birthed in the silence and inactivity of good people.  Although I am unable to fully determine who said it first and what it looked like in its first form, it’s truth and importance is not debatable.

John F. Kennedy offered a quote that he attributed to Burke, “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.”  In examining first mentions, I discovered that a similar statement was made in 1916 by Reverend Charles F. Aked as he called for restrictions on alcohol saying, “It has been said that for evil men to accomplish their purpose it is only necessary that good men should do nothing.”  In 1770 Edmund Burke wrote of the need for good men to oppose the cabals of bad men and in that quote, is quite possibly the source of the aforementioned quote.  He said, “No man, who is not inflamed by vain-glory into enthusiasm, can flatter himself that his single, unsupported, desultory, unsystematic endeavors are of power to defeat the subtle designs and united Cabals of ambitious citizens. When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.”  In 1867 the British philosopher and political theorist John Stuart Mill delivered an inaugural address at the University of St. Andrews and the second sentence expresses that same sentiment, “Let not any one pacify his conscience by the delusion that he can do no harm if he takes no part, and forms no opinion. Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends than that good men should look on and do nothing.”  A statement of Burke that is germane and should resonate was, “When bad men combine, good men must organize.”

             I draw an analogy from the Bible that can be applied to our present situation in America and government.  When Gideon died, Abimelech sought to become the new ruler.  He made incredible promises, used bribes, and surrounded himself with ‘worthless and reckless fellows’.  One of Gideon’s sons described the situation using a parable found in Judges 9:8-15.  In that parable, I take note of three things that are of interest.  The Trees of the forest attempted to get the best and most productive of them to be their ruler. They went to the olive tree, the fig tree, and the grape-producing vine but each of them offered an excuse for not serving.  After none of the good trees would assume the role of leader the bramble or thorn bush became the leader by default.  It cannot be missed that when good and qualified people refuse to do good we are stuck with the inferior or bad rulers.  With the thorn bush as ruler the trees were left with two choices and neither of them could be called good.  The call was “come and take refuge in my shade” but sitting under the shade of the thorn bush is anything but pleasant and living under the rule of a bad ruler is never good.  The warning was, “if don’t submit to me, I will use punitive measures to punish you.”  DOES THAT RESONATE?  DOES THAT SOUND FAMILIAR?  Recall the past few years in our nation and how we have suffered under punitive measures anytime we resisted the desire of the Leftist Administration.

One of the major reason politics becomes corrupt is the absence of good people. It is the absence of principle, ethics, and morality.  If competent, God-fearing people refuse to participate over a period of time, politics becomes incredibly corrupt and people will argue, “I can’t get into politics because it is so corrupt.”  NO, that is exactly why we need good people in politics.  What are the qualifications of Good Candidates?  Let me once again go to the Bible in Exodus 18:21, where we are told to, “…select out of all the people able men who fear God, men of truth, those who hate dishonest gain; and you shall place these over them as leaders of thousands, if hundreds, of fifties, and of tens…”

The Candidate must be AN ABLE PERSON.  A person who is competent for there is nothing worse than having an incompetent person in charge.  Second, he must FEAR GOD and have a personal relationship with God for out of that relationships flows integrity, morality, and ethical behavior.  Third it is necessary that he LOVE TRUTH, otherwise he will be closed minded, immovable in his ideology and unrelenting in his agenda.  Fourth, he must HATE DISHONEST GAIN.  He not only rejects fraud but the perks that come through the Ole Boy System of Washington and Cronyism.  If the individual demonstrates those four qualifications he/she is a candidate for leadership and a deterrent to corrupt politics.  This is the answer to stopping tyranny.

BLOG POST 16 - Do Nothing 1

America, we are in the condition we are today largely because good people have been silent and uninvolved.  Freedom cannot be preserved if good people sit silent and allow evil to advance its agenda.  Politics may be a dirty business and filled with corruption but that cannot be a reason, excuse, or justification for good people to sit on the sidelines.  There are times that it is not enough to contribute to candidates, vote or pray but when we must throw our hats in the ring and get into the fight on the frontlines.  America as the Constitutional Republic established by the founders and fought for by the founders cannot survive if GOOD PEOPLE SIT SILENT and DO NOTHING.  Evil never rests and neither can good.  Those of us who love freedom, are true patriots, and defenders of the Constitutional Republic of our Founders and Framers MUST commit to involvement.  That may be SPEAKING OUT and SPEAKING UP.  It assuredly means PRAYER but could also mean that we must become candidates ourselves.  I am praying for you and me that we will become willing to do whatever is required to preserve the Republic.
