Many of us for a long time have been aware of the systematic “dumbing down” of those in public primary and secondary schools and especially many institutions of higher learning.  There are so many things being distorted and the attempts at moral equivalence has become more than a potential problem it has risen to the epidemic stage.  This administration and the hard core Democrat Establishment types have either lost contact with reality or they have willingly tossed it aside in favor of an agenda to “fundamentally transform” America into something other than a Constitutional Republic.

There are more examples than a short article can introduce but let me identify some things that defy logic, common sense and are such a stretch it is almost inconceivable that anyone would believe it much less teach it.  There is a consistent and concerted effort to decry everything about America and its beginnings.  One of the most recent is the unified cry of the Democrats, some Republicans and some religious leaders to compare and equate the Syrian refugees to the Pilgrims.  In my view, that is so outlandish it is difficult to believe any rational thinking person would not reject this self-righteous manipulation of truth and history.

Blog Post - Pilgrims

The Pilgrims left their native lands seeking “religious freedom” and to avoid “persecution”.  These people left the known to go to a land they knew almost nothing about and with total uncertainty as to what would await them.  They were not promised protection, sustenance and shelter they risked everything out of a desire to achieve religious freedom.  The Syrian refugees are being rounded up, selected and flown into this nation with guarantees from our government of housing, foods, protection, sustenance and more.  What exactly are they risking?  How can you compare the Syrian refuges or militants posing as refugees to the Pilgrims?  You cannot unless you ignore reality, truth and facts.  It is the attempt of moral equivalency, manipulation and attempting to shame Americans into believing that to resist this influx is somehow Un-Christian, inhumane and Un-American.

There is such a attempt to “justify” Islamist and Islam that some have taken steps to completely hamstring police and federal agencies to keep us safe from terrorism.  In the “Countering Violent Extremism Training” issued by the federal government.  That document places such restrictions on law enforcement while allowing freedom of movement and operation by potential terrorist it is frightening.  Basically, the police may suspect a terrorist plot but find it increasingly difficult to examine or monitor social media.  This administration has made using what the people are posting themselves on social media largely off limits citing privacy and civil liberties.  I am a strong proponent of our right to privacy and the liberties and rights afforded by the Constitution but if someone is posting their allegiance to Islamic terrorism or any terrorism as well as posts that encourage violence they should be fair game.  San Bernardino is a prime example of why this is a bad policy but one that is consistent with this administration’s defense of Islam and Islamist.  I am including a link to “Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) Training” – Do’s and Don’ts issued by the Department of Homeland Security and National Counterterrorism Center http://www.training.fema.gov/emiweb/docs/shared/cve%20do%20and%20dont.pdf.

History is a valuable tool for predicting the future and should be a schoolmaster teaching us pitfalls to avoid.  However, when history is not conducive to the ideology of the ruling powers it is modified, distorted and/or revised to fit the narrative.  We are in a war we did not initiate with Islamic Jihadist, they did.  They have openly declared war on America and most of the Free World.  We either take the stance that we are going to address our National Security, adopt policies to combat terrorism regardless of where it originates, secure our borders, allow the Free Market to bolster our economy and return to the Rule of Law, the Constitution and once again operate as a Republic or we lose America.  It is not just a choice of Republican or Democrat it is a choice of America, Right and Freedom.

Blog Post 2 - Elections Rigged

I have friends and fellow conservatives who truly hold the view that all elections are rigged and the outcome predetermined.  Therefore, they see no reason to go to the polls because, in their view, it does not matter.  I will not argue or even suggest that there is not massive “voter fraud” and elections are “stolen” but I will argue that it is still important to go to the polls and cast our ballots.

“If” the elections are rigged and the outcome predetermined, how does one explain the Republicans gaining control of the House and Senate?  That control was squarely in the hands of the Democrats and loyal Obama soldiers marching to his commands and advancing the liberal agenda.  Why would the riggers allow this?  I acknowledge that the Republicans have been anything but stalwarts in opposing this push but somehow in the midst of rigged elections we wrested control of both Houses of Congress from the Democrats.

“If” the elections are rigged and the outcome predetermined, how does one explain the statistical probabilities that Mitt Romney could have and likely would have beaten Barack Obama in 2012 had millions of Republicans not refused to go to the polls?  The statistical numbers indicate that had those millions voted in the varying states it would have been enough to swing the election to the Republican candidate.  Please understand, Romney was not my desired candidate but if my choice is Romney or Obama I will take Romney every time.  I can understand and appreciate people standing for their “principles”, I do and my core principles declare that that America is too valuable to allow my dislike or disagreement with portions of what the nominee stands for or might do and thereby allow someone I know will be destructive and Anti-American win the election.

Blog Post 2 - I Still Believe

At this juncture I am unable to accept that my vote is meaningless.  I still hold the belief that even if there is massive voter fraud a monumental turnout by those who desire a Constitutional Republic, Conservative agenda and Limited Government we can offset their plans and beat them.  Could I be wrong?   Of course!  I like to believe I am a “realist” although some would call me a “pessimist” and others would label this belief as “fantasy optimism”.  If we do not try we are guaranteed defeat.

What can we do?  More than we are in most cases.  I have friends who tell me, “I don’t like politics so I just ignore it.”  I don’t like it either but neither do I like cleaning the toilet in my house but if I don’t it becomes unbearable.  There are some things that are not optional and in this day and time politics is one of them.  Benjamin Franklin’s warning is so relevant today.  When asked what type of government was adopted he declared, “A Republic if you can keep it.”  The wisdom and foresight of our Founders is sometime astounding and the willingness to ignore politics and politicians is not just dangerous it is doom.

What can we do?  We can volunteer to be poll watchers and if not accepted we can become unofficial watchers and report all violations observed.  We can volunteer to work for the candidate of our choice.  We can invest our time and treasure in helping them win the nomination and then work to insure that the most conservative, constitutional and integrous candidate possible.  We can attempt to educate, investigate, vet and inform.  THEN, we can go to the polls and cast our ballot.  It is when I have done those things that I can face my children, grandchildren and fellow Americans knowing I have done all legally allowable.

Blog Post 2 - John Wayne

Some advocate a new revolution and that may one day become a necessity as Jefferson suggested but today I still believe we can through prayer, moral integrity, labor and voting make a difference.  Am I wrong?  Possibly but that is my view and all I ask is you respect mine and I will respect and defend your right to yours.  This article may cost me social media friends and if it does, it does.  I offer it to ask you to carefully consider what is at stake and determine the best course of action on your part.

Blog Post - Constitution

How you view the United States Constitution depends upon which side of the political aisle you stand.  If you are on the Democrat, liberal, leftist, socialist and sometimes moderate Republican side you view it as archaic and/or an ever evolving document.  If you are on the Republican, conservative or limited government side you see it as the foundational document that is timeless and the guide for the rule of law in America.

After years of studying history and this incredible document I believe that it represents and reflects the character of the founding fathers and that of the American people over the past two centuries plus.  In this third century we are seeing a significant erosion and shift in the mindset of many in the public.  Why?  I believe it is largely due to successive generations of indoctrination in the public school, liberal theological institutions presentation or the lack thereof of absolutes in truth, the main stream media and politician’s distortions and misrepresentations of the meaning and intent of the founders.  They have worked tirelessly to suggest and spin the idea that one cannot be a strict constructionist and be true to the intent of the founders.

At the core of this disagreement is often a struggle for power something the founders understood and sought to defeat.  The American Constitution has clearly defined boundaries for each branch of government and I truly believe it the conviction of the founders that each branch would be so jealous of and diligent to preserve its authority the three branches would provide a workable and desirable system of “checks and balances.”  Today, Congress has largely abdicated its role and transferred by silence or act its authority to the Executive Branch.  The Courts have also become complicit in transforming the Executive Branch into one that can only be described as a “soft tyranny” and dangerously close to being a “hard tyranny.”

Blog Post - Balance of Power

Congress has many recorded incidents where they have relinquished their power and authority to both the Executive and/or Judicial Branch.  In some respects, the Legislative Branch has become almost meaningless and one of the reasons many are calling for a Convention of States to rewrite the Constitution and restore the balance of power and place the oversight of government back in the hands of the voting public.  In the 1970’s Congress allowed usurpation of their power and responsibility by the Executive Branch in various agencies such as OSHA and the EPA.  Obamacare is a prime example of Congress failing to do its due diligence and that was reflected in Nancy Pelosi’s statement, “We have to pass it to find out what is in it.”  I can only imagine what Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Paine and George Washington, to name a few, would have said about that.  The disaster know as Dodd-Frank in 2010 presented a heavy blow to the economy and we are still reeling from that punch.

Congress has gone almost beyond the point of no return in forgetting and/or ignoring its exclusive Constitutional Authority and Power as described in Article I, Sections 8 and 9 which deals with spending by the federal government and taxation.  This has led to a number of federal agencies collecting their own taxes and generating revenue extra-constitutionally.  Congress no longer passes annual appropriations bills, agency by agency.  What we have today are “continuing resolutions” or “blank checks” for the president to do what he will regarding spending.  Congress could have stopped many of the disastrous Obama policies via the power of the purse but the Democrats have no desire and the Republicans are afraid of their own shadows.  The result is WE THE PEOPLE paid, are paying and will continue to pay the price.

Blog Post - Restoration

We used to have “lame duck” presidents in the last year of their second term but this president is anything but, largely because the Republican controlled Congress has demonstrated no intestinal fortitude and seem to be oblivious to their actual powers, duties and responsibilities constitutionally and as Representatives of the American people.    What could they do?

  • Reclaim the taxing, spending and borrowing powers the Constitution affords them.
  • Immediately and consistently exercise the power of the purse in appropriations.
  • Become Representatives of the people and Legislators once again as per the Constitution.
  • Eliminate the Cronyism that is often reflected in the seniority system and put people in chair positions who actually have some qualifications and demonstrate a propensity to follow the Constitution.                                                                                               
  • Blog Post - WhereAre there more things that could be done?  Absolutely but at the voter level we must resolve to elect only those who will actually support and defend the Constitution.  At the Congressional level we must have members of the House and Senate who refuse to cave to the pressure inside the beltway, lobbyist and elitist and do what they were elected to do.

    The Constitution can be a tool or vehicle to lead us forth to restoration of the Republic or if we continue on the current path it will be transformed to meaninglessness and the Republic will be no more.  The question is, “How much is a Constitutional America worth you and me?”  We will determine that, in a great measure, in 2016.

WHAT, WHO or WHOM…


Blog Post 2 - Make America Great

Some may take offense to that question and declare, “America is great!”  I do not disagree but would contend that she is not what she used to be, like the old gray mare.  There was a time when our economy was the most robust of any in the world.  There was a time when our military was the most feared and provided a continual deterrent to conflicts across the globe.  There was a time when America was viewed as the most desired place to be and compared to many places in the world still is.

However, our economy is no longer robust regardless of the spin put on things with the fictitious “unemployment rate” or the questionable “job creations” this administration touts as positives they have accomplished.  Our military is still incredible even in the face of systematic downsizing and attempted neutering by this administration but it should be and could be even stronger.  Strength is the best position from which to negotiate peace and few in the world view America as strong under the current Commander in Chief.  The Constitutional Rights and Liberties we once knew have been eroded and in some cases eliminated without a Constitutional Amendment but via a misguided Congressional act or a presidential Executive Order.  There was a time, in my lifetime, when you could pursue your dreams without fear of an overreaching federal bureaucracy standing over your shoulder and limiting your ability to climb the ladder of entrepreneurial accomplishment.  There was a time when one could worship according to the dictates of their hearts peacefully without concern that some activist group backed by the federal government would impose upon you what you could or could not believe.  There was a time when healthcare was a matter between the patient and the doctor but with insurance companies, federal bureaucracy and Congressional lunacy we have been saddled with the disastrous Obamacare aka Affordable Healthcare Act.

Blog Post 2 - What Can We Do

What, Who or Whom can make America great again?  The simplistic answer is a change of heart in Americans.  We could remove the restrictions that evicted God and the Bible from public institutions, monuments, schools and courts.  It does not seem that every religion is banned only the one that follows the Bible or Christianity.  We could follow the wisdom of our Founding Fathers who at the Constitutional Convention invoked prayer and the name of God before every sessions.  We could return to our moral foundations and resist the temptation to adopt the politically correct ideology and call “good evil and evil good.”

What, Who or Whom can make America great again?  The citizens must become involved in politics again and be the true overseers of government.  It is supposed to be, as Abraham Lincoln said, “Government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the Earth.”  In becoming the true owners of government we would evaluate and eliminate those candidates who have demonstrated no propensity to honor the Constitution and limit government.  We could remove from office those who are unwilling to make the hard choices and reduce spending, debt and deficit at the federal level.   Most people want to help the truly needy but that is not the government’s job it is the responsibility of local communities, churches, families and individuals not Tax Dollars.

What, Who or Whom can make America great again?  You and Me with the help of Divine Providence.  Politicians will not make America great, they are largely the ones who pushed her from that lofty pinnacle.  America needs her patriots more today than she has since the Declaration of Independence and Revolutionary War.  Will you stand up, step up, speak up and invest yourself in making her great again?  2016 will answer that question!

THE POWER OF THE PURSE


Blog Post - Purse

Congress has the “power of the purse” to stop many of the illogical, illegal, unnecessary and unconstitutional expenditures, programs and bureaucracies exist in Washington and across America.   Unfortunately the Republicans have allowed the media, the current administration and the Democrats to advance the false narrative about what actually happens and cower in fear refusing to use the only real tool they have to stop the runaway train of destruction that has been unleashed.

If the Republicans were to pass a continuing resolution to temporarily fund the government and the president were to veto it one should know that “crucial services continue without interruption”.  That is completely contrary to what is being advanced every time the budget comes up and the Republicans fail to articulate the counter to the leftist narrative and fear that is heaped on the public.  There is no interruption in services necessary for national defense and law enforcement.  Those services and payments that are mandatory such as Social Security and Veterans’ benefits continue uninterrupted contrary to the fear tactic used by the president.

Under Article I of the Constitution, “No money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in the consequence of appropriations made by law.”  We have the Antidefenciency Law (ADA), which makes it illegal for federal officials to spend one dime in excess of appropriations or to obligate the government to enter into contracts before an appropriation has been passed to pay for the commitment or contract.  This law prevents government employees from volunteering their services “free of charge” except in specific situations that affect, “the safety of human life or the protection of property”.  That is so loosely interpreted it is almost meaningless.

WHAT DOES NOT SHUT DOWN?

 The Congressional Research Service reports that there is an OMB memorandum for 1981 that gives examples of functions that continue during a funding lapse or “shutdown”.

  • National security, including the conduct of foreign relations essential to the national security or the safety of life and property;
  • Benefit payments and the performance of contact obligations under no-year or multi-year appropriations or other funds remaining available for those purposes;
  • Medical care of inpatients and emergency outpatient care and activities essential for the safe use of food, drugs, and hazardous materials;
  • Air traffic control and other transportation safety functions;
  • Border and coastal protection and surveillance;
  • Protection of federal lands, buildings, waterways, and other property of the U.S.;
  • Care of prisoners and others in federal custody;
  • Law enforcement and criminal investigations;
  • Emergency and disaster assistance;
  • Activities essential to the preservation of the money and banking system of the U.S., including borrowing and tax collection;
  • Production of power and maintenance of the power distribution system; and
  • Protection of research property.

 

In 2011 they went beyond those basic services and listed others that would continue.  Truthfully most of the government would function and it would be business as usual during that time.

The key for the Republicans is that if they allowed funding to expire then it would be incumbent on the Democrats to find 60 votes in the Senate to refund those programs and if they could not the program could be allowed to die.  Why not use the “power of the purse” and put the onus back on the Democrats rather than hiding in fear afraid of your own shadow.  Do what you were elected to do!

THE 14TH AMENDMENT DOES NOT GIVE BLANKET BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP…


14th Amendment

Illegal Immigration and Amnesty are not secondary issues in this presidential campaign as Bret Baier of Fox News seems to think.  It is an economic issue, national security issue, national sovereignty as well as a social issue.  At one time I thought that if a person was born in the United States they were automatically afforded citizenship by the Constitution of these United States.  As a student of history in college and over the past 40 plus years I have discovered the writings of the authors of the 14th Amendment and their view of what that amendment actually was designed to do.

The 14th Amendment, as per Senator Jacob M. Howard of Michigan in 1866 wrote, “…every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States.  This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons.”

Subject to the jurisdiction does not simply mean being in the country physically but means “not owing allegiance” to any other foreign nation.  It is not just the physical jurisdiction but the complete jurisdiction of the United States of America.  Illegals cannot make that claim for they are ILLEGAL.  In 1866 Senator Edward Cowan wrote, “A foreigner in the United States has a right to the protection of the laws; but is not a citizen in the ordinary acceptance of the word…”  The words “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” was intended to exclude American-born persons from automatic citizenship whose allegiance to the United States was not complete.  The Native Americans were not initially included although born here because it was not perceived that their allegiance was not complete to the United States but to their own tribal councils.  With regard to illegal aliens in the United States unlawfully, their native country has a claim of allegiance on the child.  Therefore, the completeness of their allegiance to the United States is impaired and precludes automatic citizenship.  The proper interpretation of the 14th Amendment is that an illegal alien mother is subject to the jurisdiction of her native country, as is her baby.

In the “Slaughter-House Cases” the Supreme Court confirmed this restricted interpretation of citizenship.  In 1884 Elk v. Wilkins, the phrase, “subject to its jurisdiction” was interpreted to include “children of ministers, consuls, and citizens of foreign states born with the United States.”  In Elk, the American Indian claimant was considered NOT an American citizen because the law required him to be “not merely subject in some respect or degree to the jurisdiction of the United States, but completely subject to their political jurisdiction and owing them direct and immediate allegiance.”  The Courts essentially declared that the status of the parents determines the citizenship of the child.  To qualify children for “birthright citizenship”, based on the 14th Amendment, parents MUST owe, “direct and immediate allegiance” to the United States and be “completely subject” to its jurisdiction.  Simply, they must be citizens of the United States of America.

The argument that just being born here automatically affords “birthright citizenship” in the United States is to ignore the wording and intent of the Amendment.  One cannot simply self-immigrate ILLEGALLY and then claim jurisdiction because they are here.  They are citizens of another country and subject to the jurisdiction of that country.  They become subject to our laws but that does not give them citizenship.  The Civil Rights Act of 1866 defined citizens of the United States as, “all persons born in the United States and not subject to any foreign power, excluding American Indians not taxed.”  The question of American Indians Senator Howard argued, “…have always been in our legislation and jurisprudence, as quasi foreign nations”. Senator Lyman Trumbull (D-IL) agreed with Senator Howard stating, “…it would be a violation of our treaty obligations… to extend our laws over these Indian tribes with whom we have treaties saying we would not do so.”  Trumbull insisted that the Indian tribes WERE NOT subject to our jurisdiction in the sense of owing allegiance solely to the United States.  He stated, “…it is ONLY those persons who come completely within our jurisdiction, who are subject to our laws that we think of making citizens.”

The clincher in this is that in Section 5 of the 14th Amendment it reads:  “The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article.”  That includes Section 1 deemed the “citizenship clause”.  Would Congress pass legislation granting “birthright citizenship” to the children of illegal aliens?  Do wild bears live in the woods?  If they follow the arguments of the authors of the clauses and amendment they would not but if they follow present day political correctness they would.  What do you think would be the case if the Democrats and RINO’s control the White House and/or Congress?  You get the Gold Star it would be Amnesty and Anchor Baby Citizenship automatically.

PACKAGING AND SELLING HYPOCRISY…


Blog Post 2 - Packaging and Selling

I cannot imagine anyone, at this time, not realizing that the Main Stream Media is a political arm of the Leftist and Democrat Party.  They ignore potentially damaging items by the Left and zoom in on any real or fabricated by anyone on the Right.  They do not seem to care about facts or truth for those only get in the way of the agenda and narrative.

Take the recent hoopla over Dr. Ben Carson and West Point compared to Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama.  The Politico article that has somewhat been walked back but is still out there and the damage is done for the Kool-Aid crowd because it was reported and no matter how much recanting by the reporters it is out there.  A closer examination of the situation is in order.

Politico reported that Dr. Ben Carson lied about being offered a scholarship to West Point, meeting with General Westmoreland and more.  Their initial report was that Dr. Carson, then a high school 17 year old, claimed to have been offered a full scholarship to West Point.  They indicated he had pursued that scholarship but no record could be found of such an offer or application.  TRUTH – Dr. Carson did not apply to West Point.  If I, as a 17 or 18 year old High School student were told that I would be given “room, board and full tuition” I would have concluded that it was a scholarship offer and in fact did.  I have said since High School that I barely missed a scholarship to the Air Force Academy when in fact it would have been appointment not scholarship.  Therefore, I suppose that nothing I say now should be believed because of my mischaracterization of what was at stake or on the table.  Please!

Blog Post 2 - Facts

Politico’s initial story was:  “Dr. Ben Carson did not apply nor was he awarded a full scholars to West Point as he originally claimed in his memoir.  In “Gifted Hands” Dr. Carson wrote that General Westmoreland extended him a “full scholarship” when they met for dinner in 1969.  They continued that West Point has no record of Carson ever applying, let alone being given a scholarship.”  Damage done.  Later Politico edited that story and stated that Carson’s campaign admitted he never applied to West Point.  Damage done.  TRUTH – Dr. Carson has stated from the beginning that he never applied to West Point.  He was told by a West Point Administrator, according to his team, “You’ve got a great record. We can help you navigate the trail to West Point.”  Dr. Carson decided not to follow that path as his dream was to be a surgeon.

How you say things or ask questions is critical in honest presentation of facts.  This story is reminds me of the proverbial, “Are you still beating your wife question with the caveat that you must answer yes or no.”   Either yes or no will damn you and so this account seems to be the same.  The wording that Dr. Carson “admitted” he did not apply rather than “acknowledged” or “affirmed” he did not apply is where the damage is done.  It leaves the perception that he embellished (which means lie in East Texas vernacular) his history.  Obviously, General Westmoreland cannot be asked to confirm or deny this account and even though there has been corroboration that the young Ben Carson did meet the General the perception of dishonesty has been advanced.  Now, some will question everything Dr. Carson says, not based on fact but based on perception.  Hillary Clinton’s Marine Corps story and subsequent clean up is acceptable but Ben Carson’s consistent reiteration of his is not.  No bias there, right???

Blog Post 2 - Hypocrisy

There has been scrutiny of Dr. Carson’s college records and virtually all the Republican candidates are put under the microscope but when it came to Barack Obama it was, “nothing to see here, move on.”  Obama spent millions to insure his records would never go public and one should wonder why?  Many of the stories told by Barack Obama in his memoirs have been debunked but the Media yawned and had no interest.  The same with Hillary Clinton and her proven lies regarding Benghazi.  The Democrats and media demonstrate total disinterest in those stories and anyone trying to lay them at the feet of the president or the former Secretary of State is blasted as racist, sexist or something even worse.  Hillary and Obama have both identified the Republicans who push back on their agenda as “domestic terrorist” and proclaimed them one of the greatest dangers to America.  The media hears the fabrications, the lies, distortions and scandals and simply yawns and moves on or participates in the cover up or attempt to put a positive spin on the event.  With the Republican, as with Dr. Carson, it is put out the unproven charge knowing the damage will be done even after the truth is revealed.

What is my hope?  That the America people are sufficiently becoming aware of the hypocrisy of the Main Stream Media and the Leftist politicians.  If we are then these unfounded accusations will bolster not hinder the advance of the cause of Constitutional Liberty in America!  I am still vetting the candidates and while Dr. Carson is the main figure in this article my purpose is to demonstrate the packaging and selling of hypocrisy by the MSM and Leftist in America.

LAWLESSNESS BREEDS ANARCHY then TYRANNY…


Blog Post 1 - Lawlessness

We have a condition in America today that will lead from Soft Tyranny to Hard Tyranny and it is being fueled by the lawlessness of this administration.  That’s right, LAWLESSNESS!  When subordinates in this administration can openly and blatantly break federal law with complete confidence that even if indicted would never see one day inside a prison cell they are fueling the anarchy that is sticking its ugly head from the shadows.

Lois Lerner and Hillary Clinton, to name two, have blatantly broken federal law making them deserving of federal prosecution.  They are not only exonerated by the Department of Justice but praised by the media and justified by the president as commendable public servants just doing their job.  What job?  Are they not bound by the constitution and federal law?  It would seem the answer is no!

When the president continually does an end run around Congress, ignores the constitution using his pen and phone in unconstitutional and illegal ways with virtually no push back from Congress, the Courts, the Media and few in the public it breeds a mindset in sectors of the public that ultimately produces anarchy.  When the looters and rioters in Ferguson, Missouri are given a “free pass” to loot and riot with no fear of prosecution that plants seeds of anarchy in other sectors of the nation.  Anarchy is the fruit of those seed and we are seeing it surface time and again.  Isolated situations where people fearlessly bait and attack the police knowing that there is little or no fear or prosecution produces a mindset that can only produce anarchy.

Blog Post 1 - Fear

When the public, at large, is paralyzed with fear of calling the participants of these riots and isolated incidences as terrorist criminals and terrorism, knowing that to do so would receive a swift and harsh response from the Politically Correct Police of today anarchy is being produced.  When followers of Islamic jihad know that this government will not identify what they are doing terrorism and will blame everything but their religious ideology for their actions it invites more attacks.  When the proponents of “Black Lives Matter” as opposed to “All Lives Matter” can call for the death of whites, incite rioting and looting and even declare open season on police knowing there will be no federal prosecution anarchy is budding forth and will soon become the norm in America.

When anarchy is in full bloom with daily rioting in the streets, massive killings, looting and a virtual civil war in America the federal government will be compelled to step in to gain control and maintain order.  The only hope for restoring order would be declared to be national martial law with tanks and troops in the streets of American cities enforcing curfews, confiscating private firearms, controlling travel and communications resulting in a transition from Soft Tyranny to Hard Tyranny and a complete “transformation” of America.  The end result of that would be the end of the American Constitutional Republic.

Blog Post 1 - Alarmist

Am I being alarmist?  I hope so!  However, how do you argue that lawlessness does not breed lawlessness?  How can you not see that if those in government are exempted from obeying the laws that you and I must obey some would not see this as invitation to also be lawless?  What’s good for the goose is good for the gander!  When the federal government is not bound by the Constitution or tosses off Constitutional restraints why would any citizen that is desirous of lashing out not feel free to do so?  If you have been conditioned all your life to believe that you are an abused ethnicity or group and national leaders call for you to commit acts of anarchy to advance your cause and call attention to your perceived plight is not anarchy the natural result?

As long as those in Washington, DC refuse to do their constitutionally mandated duty and put an end to the lawlessness there can only be one natural result – ANARCHY!  When anarchy floods the streets of our cities Tyrannical government control will be the next step.  This is another reason that it is mandatory that we reject any and all who would advance and promote the policies of political correctness and the anti-constitutional policies of the past few years.  WE MUST RECLAIM OUR NATION in 2016 or we will have no nation to reclaim.

FORCE FEEDING AMERICA WITH LIBERALISM…


Blog Post - LIBERALISM

Many have declared that Hillary Clinton’s campaign was D.O.A. because of the scandals but I see no evidence of that.  I am beginning to believe that even if she were indicted she would still be the Democrat nominee and millions would still vote for her even in the face of incontrovertible evidence of her crimes.  That is the nature of the political beast in America today.

We began to see how far the left was willing to go with the incredible ramming Obamacare down the throats of the American people even when the majority opposed the measure.  After all, the Left knows best and those of us who desire limited government, reduced spending and less governmental controls and interference in our lives are just ignorant, bigoted, racist, homophobes and worse.  We are to be disregarded because the Nanny State knows best and if Government deems it desirable then we must be “force fed” for our own good.  That is exactly what many of the leftist think.  Some of them simply want to take down America and advance their Socialist, Marxist, Liberal, Progressive ideology and do not care what is best, desirable, constitutional or desired by the people.

We are witnessing assault after assault on our Constitutional rights, freedoms and liberties by the Left and those on the Right are impotent or acting with impotence and demonstrating the paralysis of fear.  The Main Stream Media was rightly described by Marco Rubio as the Democrat’s Super Pac and are anything but unbiased.  Ted Cruz was right when he declared that no one believed that any of the moderators would vote for a Republican.  We were told by Nancy Pelosi regarding the Healthcare Law, “We have to pass it to find out what is in it.”  Then Hillary Clinton’s infamous response to the deaths in Benghazi, “What difference does it make now?” both describe the mentality, ideology and problem.  America be damned.  The Constitution be damned.  The will of the people be damned. 

Blog Post - Wake Up America

America should have awakened when Rahm Emanuel declared, “You never let a serious crisis go to waste.  And what I mean by that it’s an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”  This predates Saul Alinsky but it was most assuredly part of his “Rules for Radicals” playbook.  In his chapter entitled “Of Means and Ends” he gives eleven rules for guidance with respect to ethics.  If you read them you should find the revelation chilling and also realize that it is the script used by the Leftist and Democrats in today’s politics.

Among the eleven we find:

  • One’s concern with the ethics of means and ends varies inversely with one’s personal interest in the issue.  That is to say, the more you care about the issue the less you should care about the methods you use to fight it.  [My thoughts: I find that chilling.  Forget morality, right, honor or legality just do what you have to do to win at all costs.] 
  • Judgment must be made in the contest of time… ethical standards must be elastic to stretch in the times. [My thoughts:  It would seem that situational ethics ignores moral moorings.]
  • The less important the end… the more one can afford to engage in ethical evaluation of means. [My thoughts:  Wow!  You can be ethical if it is not a big issue but if it is one you are passionate about anything goes.]
  • Do what you can with what you have and clothe it with moral arguments.  [My thoughts:  Spin the spin and dupe people into believing that you are justified in using any means possible to achieve your desire.  That would include ANYTHING and that is frightening.] 
  • Whatever your mission “goals must be phrased in terms like Liberty, Equality, Fraternity, or Of the Common Welfare or Pursuit of Happiness or Bread and Peace”.  [My thoughts: Does any of that sound familiar in today’s political landscape?]

Blog Post - Conquer America

I believe the Democrats are going to march Hillary Clinton onto the stage as the nominee for president and depending on whom the Republicans nominate and if the voters become engaged and actually go to the polls we will either witness her inauguration or we will attain victory and defeat the leftist.

If Hillary or any Democrat is elected in 2016 the “forced feeding frenzy” will increase exponentially, the Constitution become nothing more than a memory, the Supreme Court packed to insure destruction and our national sovereignty obliterated.  Are we going to allow the “force feeding” to continue or unite, rise up and resist?   I AM WAITING!

2016 – America’s Last Chance…

I have been accused of being an alarmist, conspiracy theorist, gloom and doom prophet, pessimist, negative and worse but after careful examination of current reality and historic trends as well as much prayer and reflection I have concluded that we possibly have ONE LAST CHANCE in America to salvage any semblance of our Constitutional Republic.  I truly wish I did not see things this way and could view America and the world through the rose colored glasses of Utopianism but I cannot.

We have endured seven years of government run amok, blatant disregard for the Constitution, the Separation of Powers Clause and the systematic dismantling of our national sovereignty, military, economy, healthcare industry, weakening our military and alienating our allies in many parts of the world.  We have witnessed various government agencies as well as the courts used to tamper with our constitutional liberties, the increased regulation of our lives in an unconstitutional manner, the disregard for the 10th amendment and more.  Our Republic is in danger of ceasing to exist and now we are in a crucial Presidential Election Cycle.  What is at stake and what will the result be?  Time and the mindset of the American people will determine that.  God allowed Israel to have a king and warned them of the dire result from that decision and I am convinced that God will allow and has allowed America to make her bed in which she now lies.  He will help if we return to Him but whether that happens remains to be seen.

Blog Post - Candidates

THE CANDIDATES…

In the pursuit of the office of President of these United States compose incredible diversity, some good and some incredibly dangerous.  The way we decided who we will support is often puzzling to me.  Do we choose Donald Trump because he is outspoken, unafraid and action oriented?  Are we truly examining his record and history on issues?  Is what we need someone who shoots from the hip or someone more diplomatic?  That is a question each will have to answer.  I have heard negative opinions of Ted Cruz ranging from “He scares me” to “I don’t like his arrogance or appearance.”  Those same people like Donald Trump because of his arrogance and ignore his appearance.  I find something in that a bit confusing.  I am not endorsing anyone at this juncture just expressing what I see.  Ted Cruz, has been a consistent conservative, is highly intelligent and has demonstrated a Trump-like boldness in standing against the system and establishment.  Then we have Ben Carson, a soft spoken, highly educated and intelligent retired neurosurgeon with some views that appeal to me and some I wonder about.  That is true with virtually every candidate.  Would Dr. Carson be viewed as weak because of his soft spoken demeanor or would he speak softly and carry a big stick?  I do not know.  Jeb Bush is clearly the Establishment choice but not the vast majority’s choice.  He says some things that I could support and others that are foreign to my view of government.  Marco Rubio is probably the second choice of the Establishment and his participation in the Gang of Eight’s Amnesty Plan is major to me.  Does he identify with the common man more than most of the rest?  Possibly because he is not wealthy as most all the others are but is he the best man to salvage the Republic?  Carly Fiorina, Mike Huckabee, Chris Christie, Rand Paul, and the others have positive points and negatives.  Most of them are so far back in the race it is highly unlikely they will gain enough ground to win the nomination.

I would love to be able to incorporate some of each candidate into an ideal candidate but that is not possible so we must select one to represent us against Hillary Clinton or whomever the Democrats select.  We are a long way from the decision being made and much and will happen between now and then.  Jeb Bush began as the front runner, Donald Trump leaped past him and now Dr. Carson has enjoyed his time in the front in some polls.  Who embodies more of what is needed to truly lead the Republic with regard to the Economy, National Security, Constitutional Liberties, Limited Government, Reduced Spending and cleaning up the corruption in Washington?  That is our dilemma and the reason I have not endorsed any candidate at this juncture.  I am still evaluating, weight pros against cons and earnestly praying.  I want America to pick the best possible candidate and I believe that is your heart as well.

Blog Post - Problems

THE PROBLEMS…

Facing us are not small.  We need to have honest assessment of the economy, healthcare, national security, terrorism, borders, governmental agency abuses, the federal deficit and spending and the constitution.  We need to honestly evaluate the Supreme Court, IRS, EPA, and DOJ and take steps to restore the true separation of powers the constitution details.  We are in danger of global conflict that could and likely will escalate into biblical proportions if we do not act decisively, definitively and correctly.  Our military needs to be provided with what it needs to protect and defend this nation here and abroad and we need to insure there is NEVER a nationalization of our local and state police forces.  We need to insure that our Constitutional Rights are protected and the United States never gives up its sovereignty to the United Nations as this administration has done on several fronts.

I truly believe that 2016 is America’s Last Chance or Last Stand in the pursuit of Liberty, Freedom and having a Constitutional Republic.  That is why I plead continually for everyone to become involved at whatever level you can and invest yourself in the process including VOTING.  It is not a matter of the lesser of two evils it is a matter of the survival or death of the Republic.  What is your choice?  You answer that by your actions.
