BAN EVIL!  That’s what I said because it makes about as much sense as your unilateral assault on the 2nd Amendment as somehow a proper response that might somehow save even one life.  Virtually everyone, including your crowd, admits it will do little or nothing and would have done nothing to prevent the horrific mass shootings.  But, you turned on the tears and are seeking to politicize the issue as you have on many other issues including race relations hoping to achieve your ideological agenda and establish your LEGACY even if you are a Legend ONLY in your mind.

Never mind facts and reality for if by Executive Action/Order you can resolve a problem, how about issuing one that BAN’S EVIL!  That’s right from this day forward Evil is illegal and by taking that action, everyone prone to committing an act of evil will comply because or your edict.  Simple solution, right?  WELLLLLLL…. There is a small problem that is not so small and that is the depravity of the human heart.  You cannot, by legislation or Unconstitutional presidential edict make people civil, moral, sane, rational and tolerant.  Sorry, that is only possible in the Utopian world that you and many of your followers seem to believe exists alongside your herd of Unicorns.

EVIL and VIOLENCE have been around, for mankind since Cain killed Abel and is not going away UNTIL and UNLESS we enter the time when Jesus completely rules and reigns on earth.  At that time, according to the Bible, men will beat their weapons of war into farming tools and the lion and lamb will live in harmony.  That is not the current condition of the world and is not going to be via nice talk, presidential edicts, UN directives or Congressional acts.  I know that when you were auditioning for the job of President you declared you would end the Unconstitutional actions of George W. Bush, whom you accused of using Executive Actions/Orders to bypass Congress and the will of the people.  My, what a difference an election or two makes isn’t it?  You also said you would be the catalyst to UNITE Washington and the World would once again love and respect us simply because you would tell them how evil we were and then unilaterally take actions showing weakness, not strength.  Your mind or rhetoric avowed the world would follow suite.  How has that worked out?

We have a world filled with evil, diabolical and dangerous people so driven by an ideology or so narcissistic and sadistic they will stop at nothing to achieve their objectives.  That is not solved by a UN Resolution, an Executive Order/Action or even legislation.  If we want to keep America and Americans safe and provide a means whereby we can defend ourselves, our property and those we love we need to face reality.  Sir, if somehow you and the world declared that GUNS WERE ILLEGAL for anyone other than police or military guns would still be in the hands of those desiring to do evil, commit crimes, and terror.  Sir, if somehow you and the world declared that NUCLEAR WEAPONS WERE ILLEGAL there would still be nations and people in possession of those weapons.  A law is for the law abiding and has not affect or impact on those whose heart are filled with evil. 

I would suggest that you could do more to curb “gun violence” by strictly enforcing the laws against committing any crime using a gun.  Make the sentences so severe the perpetrator would not see the light of day (freedom) for a very long time, if ever, and I truly believe that would have more an impact than your assault on our Constitutional Rights and Liberties.  But, if your agenda is not curbing gun violence and solving a problem but something more far-reaching and sinister then I understand your interest in this issue.  You have shown no concern for the thousands of UNBORN BABIES slaughtered every day.  You have no stomach to take the fight to ISIS or any terrorist group other than superficial actions through which you can claim action but nothing of significance comes of it.

Mr. President, you are wrong as you have been on virtually every other issue and if you are sincere you are sincerely wrong.  You have missed the truth and reality and totally misunderstood the problem and the root.  Therefore, I plead with you and all who are members of your sheepfold to pause, take a deep breath and face reality.  The problem, the underlying problem is the condition of the human heart and mind, not the weapons or tools used.  A gun like a plow, knife, fork or automobile can be a beneficial tool and is for millions of responsible, law-abiding gun owners.  Focus on enforcing the laws regarding gun violence rather than attempting to destroy the industry and prevent those of us who obey the law from practicing our God-given and Constitutional Right.

The immediate answer is NO!  But not wanting to offer a blanket statement without deeper examination of the reasons for the question and the basis of my argument that it is not only a reasonable request but a morally mandated one.

The question is a result of a recent report that Rana Elmir, an American Muslim and deputy director of the ACLU of Michigan declared, that she “emphatically” refuses to condemn jihadist terrorist “just because I am Muslim.”  Her argument is she will not condemn terror perpetuated by psychopaths who are misrepresenting her religion.  She drew comparisons to Dylan Storm Roof’s attack on a black church in South Carolina, Planned Parenthood shootings and the slaughter of moviegoers in Colorado or Louisiana.  Her expressed view that were she to condemn the jihadist she would be admitting her own guilt.  I find her argument weak on many fronts and misguided.

The stretch that since she was not asked to comment on the cited incidents of violence by non-Muslims it is somehow inappropriate to ask her to condemn Islamic Jihadism and Terrorism.  When an act of terrorism or senseless violence occurs at the hands of anyone claiming they have a mandate from their god and holy book to do so should elicit the swift and immediate condemnation of all followers of that religion.  If anyone commits an act of terror while professing to be a Christian and claiming that God ordered them to do so I will immediately condemn that act as terrorism and a blatant false interpretation of the Bible.  Christians have united across political ideological lines to condemn senseless violence because the clear teaching of the Bible does not support a caliphate where Christians are commanded to kill, behead, maim and mutilate anyone not converting to Christianity.

When there is a mass shooting regardless of whether the shooter claims some moral basis for their actions, the left does not ask Christians to condemn the terrorism but the weapon used.  On the other hand when there is an act of Muslim terrorism or jihadism the weapon is never mentioned.  Instead of offering the same condemnation of the weapon and launching an effort to “ban” or “restrict” various firearms there is a concerted attempt to declare that the Islamic terrorist are not Islamic or Muslim but rather misguided individuals.  If someone non-Muslim commits an act of terror there is no mention or consideration of them being misguided but the focus is on the weapon not the individual.  In both cases, I assert it is not the weapon but the heart that is the problem.

In my research of the followers of the Islamic caliphate and perpetrators of jihadism and terrorism they cite the consistent and repeated passages of their book instructing them to do what they do.  The Bible, on the other hand, does not offer the same command but focuses on love, forgiveness and redemption.

So I ask once more, “Is it wrong to ask Muslims to condemn Islamic terrorism?”  My answer is that it is not only not wrong but reasonable to ask the so-called moderate Muslims to openly condemn jihad.  The fact that it is rare to find a Muslim willing to condemn Islamic terrorism suggests a need to further examine the so-called religion of peace in its core teachings.  Terrorism should be condemned regardless of its ideological source.

I cannot imagine Christian leaders or Christians not openly condemning any group who claimed to be following some biblical directive to murder, maim, rape, pillage and beheading those they considered “apostates.”  Many Muslims seem to be living in fear of offering such condemnation.  Fearful of the caliphate.  If a Muslim truly believes Islam is a religion of peace they should openly and immediately step forward and condemn jihadism and terrorism committed in the name of Islam.  Many polls indicate that many so-called moderate Muslims not only refuse to condemn the actions of ISIS and other terrorist groups but believe they are right and desire Sharia Law wherever they reside to supersede the Laws of that Land.

We are engaged in a War with Terrorism whether we want to be or not.  They declared the war and have demonstrated a willingness and ability to carry out their threats if left undeterred.  If we continue to make excuses attempting to disassociate the ideological and religious from the jihadist we err gravely.  We should be asking what drives them to do what they do not suggesting that anyone openly critical of their actions as phobic.  The focus and blame is frequently pointed in the wrong direction.  Until, Muslims unitedly stand against the Islamic caliphate and condemn the jihad and terror we should not assume or adopt the view that the jihadist are radicals but fundamentalist.

God help us wake up before it is too late and may God bless you and God bless America Again!  Let me conclude saying, “I pray for all people and desire that all people come to the Light of God’s love, mercy and grace.”  I readily acknowledge there are many Muslims who do not engage in violence or terror and yet in those seemingly peaceable communities some of the atrocities committed against women, children and others is unthinkable in what is called a religion of peace.   Terrorism is evil no matter its ideological or religious base!

The sitting president of the United States claims the world’s greates threat is “Climate Change” or whatever they are calling it these days.  Some activist claim it is “racism” and that until and unless “whitey” is put in his place nothing can be right with the world.  Others claim it is “phobias” and unless you accept and endorse the sexual preference lifestyles of the same sex advocates nothing can be right.  Others declare it is the “porous border” to the South which allows or potentially allows an influx of people undetected who desire to commit acts of terror on our shores.  Still others, claim the greatest threats are from those who are Christian, supporters of the 2nd Amendment and conservatives, namely Republicans.  Then others are certain it is Islamic Jihadism, primarily ISIS.

I have come to the conclusion that it is the “willing blindness” of multitudes.  When the president of the United States can go to France for a “climate change” conference and trash America with absolute falsehoods such as mass shootings only happening here the statements are problematic but the masses those who say a hearty AMEN are even more troubling.  We have politicians and citizens who proclaim that having concern over the possibility and probability of some Syrian refugees being ISIS operatives is heartlessness and evil there is a blindness to reality that is dangerous.  When the media and politicians ignore mass shootings by black men as in New Orleans but make it an unending story when a deranged white man commits such an act, there is a blindness and deafness that is frightening.  When political correctness becomes so powerful that college campuses can be taken over, entire cities shut down, the rights of business owners to follow their conscious and convictions to placate some group we have a condition that poses an incredible threat to America.

America have we lost our collective minds?  I abhor all acts of violence.  I am appalled at the politicizing of tragic and horrendous acts of terror, murder and mayhem rather than focusing on the real problem.  My heart breaks when I observe the political process where politicians are far more interested in being elected than in honoring the constitution and doing the right thing.  I weep for my country because I am rapidly coming to the conclusion that America’s Greatest Threat is the WILLING BLINDNESS of multitudes.  I do not care which side of the aisle or political issue you stand if you filter everything through a prism which affords rhetoric to advance your ideology without a willingness to honestly discuss the issue, WE HAVE A PROBLEM and the DANGER is colossal.

Please understand, I recognize that bigoted intolerance, racism, national security, violence and terrorism are all problems.  There are many dangers and threats which I could add to this list but suffice it to say, we live in a trouble world and if we do not OPEN OUR EYES and honestly face the root causes we allow evil to prevail and advance.  I truly believe that the root problem is the human heart and mind.  I have not found that children were born with a bias and bigoted view, they learn it.  I have observed that hatred has to be nourished to survive and if we adopt an Entitlement or Victim Mentality and blame all our troubles on another race or group we allow the focus to be directed wrongly.  ISIS is a problem and must be dealt with and the sooner we acknowledge that the ideology of the Islamic terrorist is rooted in religious beliefs for which they are willing to die the sooner we understand how we must deal with them.  They laugh at anything but strength and are among the most intolerant people in the world.  Bigots fan the flames of hate and seek to recruit as many as possible to their view.  The same is true with racism, phobias and every other thing we can mention that is counterproductive to an honest search for solutions.

No one has a right to trample on the rights of another!  Could it be that the Greatest Threat to America is Us?  By saying “us” I mean the willing blindness and tunnel vision too many possess.  By saying “us” I mean those who drink the Kook-Aid, spin the spin, incite the discord and ignore truth and facts.  Yes we face incredible dangers and threats today and have been leaderless for some time in America.  It is incumbent upon all who believe in prayer to pray for this nation.  It is incumbent upon all who love liberty to stand for the constitution, rule of law and right in this nation.  It is incumbent upon all who believe in “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness” to unite, set aside political preferences and do that which is required for America beginning now!

You sir, cannot seem to see the forest for your political ideology and driven agenda to alter, transform and modify or completely modify the United States Constitution.  Those are your trees blocking the view of the beautiful forest called America and that is sad.  It seems that you seize upon any event that affords you an opportunity to advance your rhetoric and narrative while ignoring anything that would detract or negate your position.  That is not surprising for many politicians and individuals do the same in a limited fashion but you seem to do it to the extreme.

After the recent shooting at the Planned Parenthood Center in Colorado you immediately jumped in the mix with your statement which has an element of truth but misses the point entirely.  Your words, “We can’t let this be normal…” carries an element of truth and I can agree this is not normal for a citizen, regardless of ethnicity or religion to take a weapon of any kind and randomly kill other human beings.  That, in my view and the view of many experts in the field of human behavior, indicates a problem far beyond the weapon or type of weapon used.  It should cause us to focus on the problem inside the individual’s head and heart but that would not advance your agenda so you conveniently omit any focus on that issue.  No, you focus on the weapon of choice and further the narrative regarding the so-called “assault weapons” or “military style weapons”.  I do not hear the same clamor when someone flies a plane into a building, blows up people with bombs, uses knives, baseball bats or some other weapon of choice.  I only hear you when it is a firearm and that concerns me.

When you take a shot at those of us who offer prayer and suggest that we are hypocritical by praying without aligning ourselves with your “gun control” agenda I am troubled.  Your statement was, “If we truly care about this – if we’re going to offer up our thoughts and prayers again, for God knows how many times, with a truly clean conscience – then we have to do something about the easy accessibility of weapons of war on our streets to people who have no business wielding them.  Period.  Enough is enough.”  There are elements in that statement I can agree with but the basic premise I cannot.  You mentioned the easy accessibility of weapons of war to people who have no business wielding them is interesting.  When the Muslim shooter at Fort Hood killed people you did not mention guns but cautioned us about profiling and the dangers and wrongness of Islamophobia.  The portion of your statement which I can agree should direct the focus to the mental state addressing mental disorders and connecting the dots in religious or ideological beliefs.  Those factors are far more critical than the incessant drive to pass more “gun laws” in a false narrative that if we do so we will stop “gun violence”.  No, we will only take actions that reduce the number of law abiding, mentally sound individuals in America who have access to a firearm which is a constitutional guarantee.

Mr. President, so often you seem to have such tunnel vision you either cannot or will not see the real problem and address it in an open forum with a willingness to hear real solutions. Your approach and that of many on the left side of the political aisle is to demonize firearms or those who question where the majority of terrorism originates.  You sir, refuse to address the issues an open border brings preferring to label everyone who seeks to address illegal immigration and the national security concerns as racist, phobic, bigoted and unfeeling or lacking compassion.  Your expression that by going to the “Climate Change Conference” in France you would be giving ISIS a major slap in the face or a sharp rebuke would be laughable if it did not identify the lack of understanding or willingness, on your part, to address the real problem of Islamic Jihadism and terror.

Yes, there is a problem and we are seeing more and more outburst of terribly evil and insane actions by groups or individuals.  We have a situation where certain groups or ethnicities are allowed to commit acts of violence with impunity and even offer justifications for their attitudes and actions the door is opened for more of the undesirable behavior patterns to surface.  We have a mental, moral, political and often religious problem that seems to be ignored and the focus is on the single element that those pushing the agenda want to ban or severely restrict.  Guns, cars, knives, bats, bombs, poison or words are not the real problem, people are.  If we do not address the problem in people and relationships we will NEVER solve the problem of violence and even with heavy emphasis and focus on the real problem we will NEVER fully remove violence from our society.   Weapons of war and destruction will not be beaten into plowshares or pruning hooks until Jesus establishes His kingdom and rules the earth in His Millennial Kingdom.  Gun control or banning guns is not a panacea for violence rather it allows the focus to be diverted from the real issues which are much more difficult to solve.  The “gun restriction” or “ban” is a feel good step for those naïve enough to believe the rhetoric and a diabolical step for those desiring to “fundamentally transform” the United States of America or the World into their Utopian Fantasy Land.

America we need to insure that we do not give up our unalienable rights in an attempt to resolve a problem through “feel good” actions that fail to address the real issue.  That is another reason that 2016 is critical.  Please do not understand anything I have said to suggest that I do not want to utilize our laws, currently in existence, to address criminal activity using a firearm or any other weapon.  I am praying for the victims and families as well as the condition in our world that is producing this type of action.

The old saying “a rose is a rose by any other name it is still a rose” is applicable to the barbaric practices of the Islamic Jihadist.  You can attempt to put lipstick on a pig and it is still a pig.  You can call evil good and it remains evil.  You can call an outhouse a portal of waste elimination and the smell is still the same.  Barbarism is barbarism whether those in positions of power and authority acknowledge it or not.

The Islamist are not the first in history to be barbaric but they are as bad as any in recorded history.  Barbarians have no apparent conscience and truly believe that they have the right to do what they do and continue until stopped by a force greater than their own.  When I review recorded history I find there is much disagreement as to what cultures, nations or societies were the most barbaric but among virtually every account I find the following listed:

THE CELTS…

They were European and prominent in the 7th & 8th centuries BC.  The Romans called them Galli and the Greeks called them Keltoi, both meaning “barbarians.”  Their maximum expansion was in the 3rd-5th centuries BC and occupied much of Europe north of the Alps.  The Celts seemed to have a thing for severed heads and after battle would collect heads, take them home and decorate their houses with them.  They believed that the head held the soul and by taking the head they took the soul of the one killed.  They would often paint themselves blue and fight naked as a supreme insult saying, “I have no fear of you and to prove it will stand before you naked and exposed.”

THE AZTECS…

The held the belief that every 52 years the world would end unless the gods were strong enough and the best way to strengthen the gods was a steady diet of human sacrifice with a mixture of cannibalism.  Their practices were beyond horrific.

THE ASSYRIANS…

             They hailed from ancient Mesopotamia and upon discovering iron and how to use it to form weapons they became a terror of the region.  Iron was much more durable than bronze and made the Assyrians formidable foes.  King Ashurnasirpal said:  “I built a pillar over against his city gate, and I flayed all the chief men who had revolted, and I covered the pillar with their skins; some I walled up within the pillar, some I impaled upon the pillar on stakes, and others I bound to stakes round the about the pillar; many within the border of my own land I flayed, and I spread their skins upon the walls; and I cut off the limbs of the officers, of the royal officers who had rebelled.”

             It seemed to be more than their way of putting fear in the hearts of their enemies they seemed to actually enjoy the sport of barbarism.

 THE SPARTANS…

             They took babies they considered imperfect and tossed them over the cliffs to die on the rocks below.  They bathed newborn babies in wine to see if they were strong enough to survive. Every male was a soldier and fought until they could retire at about age 60 which some have equated to living to 400 today based on what they went through.  If you died in battle your grave was marked because you were a hero but otherwise no notice or mention of you.  Their law did not allow them to beat their slaves it require it.  Their barbarism and fierceness was well known and documented throughout the world.

THE MONGOLS…

It is estimated that Genghis Khan and other Mongols killed upwards of 40 million people.  They conquered anything and everything in their path and slaughtered everyone in the city except for the women they opted to keep as sex slaves.  It is recorded that during an invasion of India a Mongol general built a pyramid in front of the walls of Delhi out of human heads.  He used 90,000 of them to accomplish his architecture.  The force marched huge crowds of refugees before their armies as human shields.  At one point it is reported that they controlled as much as 12 million square miles and were ruthless.

             The closet we have today to the Mongols are the Islamic Jihadist and yet this administration finds it impossible to call them what they are, denies they are Islamic and makes excuses for their heinous acts.  It is not climate change, lack of jobs, lack of education or lack of tolerance that makes them what they are it is their BELIEFS.  It is rooted in their interpretation of their Quran.

Thomas Jefferson challenged Tripoli’s ambassador to Great Britain as to what right his nation had to attack American ships, enslave her citizens and why the Muslims held such hostility to this new nation.  The answer is chilling.  Sidi Haji Abdul Rahman Adja the ambassador replied that Islam:

 “Was founded on the Laws of their Prophet, that it was written in their Qur’an, that all nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon them wherever they could be found, and to make slaves of all they could take as Prisoners, and that every Musselman (Muslim) who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.”

             Sadly, America paid ransom to these barbarians for 15 more years until Jefferson became President.  When the Pasha (leader) of Tripoli send a demand for payment of $225,000 and $25,000 per year Jefferson refused.  The Pasha cut down the American flag and declared war on the United States.  Jefferson determined that this must be met with force and with the approval of Congress ordered the American ships to seize all vessels and goods that belonged to the Pasha.  When they realized that the United States was serious Algiers and Tunis abandoned the war and the Americans defeated Tripoli.  This is the reason that the line, “to the shores of Tripoli” was added to the Marine Corps hymn.

Jefferson and previous presidents understood that you meet barbarism and terrorism with force not attempting to placate them with rhetoric and temerity.  Mr. Obama either fails to understand this or is so in harmony with the actions of the terrorist he cannot embrace the idea of squashing them like the vile vermin they are.
