I am serious!  The voting public in America seems to be asleep or ignoring the reality of eroding our liberties, society’s devolution, and the collapse of our economy.  How else can we explain the reelections of the nefarious deviants actively working to undermine all that the Free Constitutional Republic was designed to be and was for at least two centuries? 

Is personal animus toward a particular candidate so powerful that the hate for a person makes abetting the destroyers the better action to take?  Have we reached the point that identity politics and personal preference are more important than the Republic?  I continue to be amazed at the many who vote against a person or supporters of that candidate, knowing that allowing the other side to win will further erode our Republic.  Yet, that seems to be where we are.

If it is not personal animus and hate for the candidate, it must be rooted in greed or the mentality of ‘what’s in it for me?’  The increasing welfare and entitlement rolls are not moving our society toward economic recovery but economic destruction.  Our Founding Fathers understood this danger and spoke about it.  We have largely ignored their warnings on many issues and expressly so on this issue.

In Federalist #41, James Madison spoke about the favorite of the followers of toxic liberalism, the ‘general welfare clause.’  This provision, they argue, allows them a blank check to care for all the needs of those in need or on the dole.  It was never intended to be a blank check and does not allow Congress to deem what is in the ‘general welfare’ with no guidelines and restrictions. 

Madison explained: “For what purpose could the enumeration of particular powers be inserted if these and all others were meant to be included in the preceding general power? Nothing is more natural nor common than first to use a general phrase, and then to explain and qualify it by a recital of particulars. But the idea of an enumeration of particulars which neither explain nor qualify the general meaning and can have no other effect than to confound and mislead, is an absurdity, which, as we are reduced to the dilemma of charging either on the authors of the objection or on the authors of the Constitution, we must take the liberty of supposing, had not its origin with the latter.”

The wisdom of Benjamin Franklin is germane and relevant.  He said in a 1766 essay titled “On the Price of Corn and Management of the Poor.”  His succulent argument: “If you argue against government welfare programs, people will automatically accuse you of not caring about poor people. Franklin takes this argument on directly, making it clear he’s not opposed to helping the poor. I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the means.  I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it.”

He was right! If you point out the flaws and dangers of an unlimited welfare system and government dole, you are deemed to be a hater of the poor and needy.  You are considered to be without heart, unfeeling, and uncaring.  You want to kill grandma and want the children to starve.  I argue that it is quite the contrary and have long contended that it is not the responsibility or the role of the federal government to provide for people’s needs materially. 

Taking care of people should first be the responsibility of the family, both nuclear and extended.  Second, it should be the church assisting those in need.  Then, in a small measure, the government can address the needs in the short term, but only in the short term.  Making it possible for people to be professional welfare recipients and making it more profitable and palatable to sit on one’s backside and sip whatever beverage they choose rather than working is destructive.

The most recent Omnibus Bill that Congress floated is monstrous and disastrous.  It dooms our children and future generations to be chained to government debt.  We are the debt holders of the federal government.  We are the ones who will suffer, not those passing those laws and writing those bills.  The taxpaying citizens who work for a living will pay the tax.  We injure ourselves by allowing this to continue.

When they sneak in or openly place things like $575 million for ‘family planning’ in areas where population growth ‘threatens biodiversity,’ that is sinister.  Malthusianism is a disturbing anti-human ideology that should not be in any federal program.  It is diabolical. 

The fact that they sought to include $1.7 Billion for the IRS to equip it to become a political weapon is insane.  Spending taxpayer funds to supposedly save nature by aborting babies is morally evil.  You may disagree, but that is my view!  Some have suggested that the followers of the toxic liberal ideology see human beings, not of their ilk, as nothing more than a virus.

They seek to make life more difficult by making energy costs so high that many have to choose between food, medicine, and heating or cooling their homes or abodes.  The desire to give half a billion for a National Health subdivision to study ‘structural racism’ and prohibiting funds to maintain or expand border security and technology is not in the interest of America or Freedom. 

We know from readily available data that unemployment benefits and Obamacare subsidies outpace median income in several states.  How does that make sense?  In thirteen states, families can receive annualized unemployment benefits worth more than the median household income.  Where is the incentive to work?  Imagine a system where a family of four earning over $500,000 annually can still qualify for Obamacare subsidies.  What is the motive? 

Jobs are begging for workers, yet many refuse to enter the workforce because receiving a dole from the government is more lucrative than working.  We have higher inflation than in decades and a record number of unfilled jobs; why?  What would motivate people to reject gainful employment and opt for a government check?  I cannot answer that satisfactorily, but I can state that you destroy incentive when you make it more appealing and profitable not to work than to work. 

I cannot miss the declaration of the apostle Paul in 2 Thessalonians 3:10, “If anyone is UNWILLING to work, let him not eat.”  The operative word is UNWILLING or WILL NOT.  I am very interested in helping people who CANNOT provide for themselves but for those who can but WILL NOT; I am not in favor of using one cent of tax money to support their laziness.  Call me whatever you desire. 

I have pastored a church, attended college full-time, and worked a 40-hour-per-week job at the same time to support my family.  I could have qualified for government subsistence, but my sense of personal responsibility drove me to work to provide for my family.  If the government provides for you, it will also control you, which is the ultimate objective.  It is time that we throw off their chains and become free. 

American, when will we wake up and reclaim our republic?  I hope soon, or we will have no republic to reclaim.

I realize that my title and thoughts may infuriate the PC Police and those who insist on tolerance at the expense of core religious convictions.  But I believe that a recent revelation in a poll taking at liberal arts colleges and universities makes it a relevant one. 

What poll am I referring to?  Thank you for asking.  It was embodied in a report by the Center for the Study of Partisanship and Ideology.  This is supposedly a center-right think tank that researches partisanship in academic and scientific fields.  The poll indicated that 40 percent of students at liberal arts colleges and universities identify as LGBTQ. If that is accurate, then we know the answer to my question.  I pray that it is wrong and that people were responding based on political correctness and attempting to provide a platform of acceptance to that lifestyle.

The report was titled “Divers and Divided: A Political Demography of American Elite Students.”  It stated: “Liberal arts colleges are the least politically diverse.  Many have almost no conservatives and thus very low viewpoint diversity.  But they have high sexual diversity, at least 40 percent LGBTQ.”  That report also declared that 23 percent of all U.S. college students identify as LGBTQ.  Gallup reported that 20.8 percent of Generation Z identify as LGBTQ.

In that report, several colleges had an alarming percentage of students who thusly identified.  Oberlin College’s data revealed that 51 percent identified as LGBTQ.  Wellesley came in at 61 percent, and Smith College was at an astounding 70 percent.  I do not know how many of those were bi-sexual, but this is an alarming report and should reveal why our government is taking the actions it is taking concerning allowing groomers to have access to our children. 

You may not like this, but according to the Bible, God made two genders, male and female.  He made them for marriage and procreation.  Homosexuals cannot reproduce, and no matter how much one may embrace the idea of being whatever one identifies as gender-wise, it is contrary to science and the Bible. 

In today’s world, it seems that more and more people want to mate with those of the same sex, and a shockingly substantial number want to be members of the opposite sex.  Have we, as a society, reached the point where there is a massive rejection of God and the Bible?  God judges Sodom and Gomorrah for their sexual deviancy and depravity, and if this is the condition in America, how can we escape?

In today’s government, there is a clear prioritization of gender transition over religious liberty.  We are witnessing an amoral and immoral condition in America and much of the world, which is alarming.  We have seen the incredible lack of moral sanity in the actions of Planned Parenthood’s sale of fetal tissue harvested during abortions.  The profitability of those tissues makes one wonder if that was not at the core of their push for abortions rather than adoptions. 

The assertion that there are ninety-seven to hundreds of genders produces a condition in our world that threatens anyone standing on biblical precepts and tenets.  The PC Police are actively seeking to identify anyone who disagrees with the ideology of Wokies in today’s world.  The expressed desire of some followers of that agenda and ideology is that those of us who adhere to the Bible, conservatism, the constitution, and two genders be reprogrammed or eliminated.  Are we passed the tipping point for survival? 

Redefinitions are important and not inconsequential.  The more recent redefinition of ‘woman’ is profoundly troubling and revealing.  Samuel Johnson’s “Dictionary of the English Language” defines ‘woman’ as “The female of the human race.”  Until recently, “woman“ was defined as “an adult female human being.”  That has changed, and the Woke Society of Political Correctness has redefined the word ‘woman.’

Cambridge now insists that the definition of a woman is “An adult who lives and identifies as a female though they may have been said to have a different sex at birth.”  They define a man in much the same way.  Since Adam and Eve, true science knows that the sexes have immutable physiological differences, down to their genetic matter, but they observe, act, and think differently. 

Orwell offered some valid arguments about where society and government were headed, and we treated his work as pure fiction with no possibility of becoming a reality.  The Bible also warned about the mindset of people devolving into moral depravity, bringing destruction.  Orwell declared in “Politics and the English Language” that the struggle against the abuse of language is often treated as a sentimental archaism, like preferring candles to electric light or hansom cabs to airplanes.

The demand that we use acceptable pronouns seemed harmless initially but has become cancerous. We insist that the rabid activists pushing the Woke agenda have led to dangerous euphemisms like ‘gender-affirming care,’ which is the exact opposite of what it claims.  Now we have ‘gender-affirming therapy’ where girls are told that they can be a boy and a boy that he can be a girl.  We have ‘conversion therapy’ being advanced and demanded by the government.  This pseudoscientific cult is destroying our children and will destroy our society if allowed to continue.

After the sex-marriage bill, Joe Biden insisted: “We need to challenge the hundreds of callous and cynical laws introduced in the states targeting transgender children, terrifying families and criminalizing doctors who give children the care they need.  And we have to protect these children so they know they are loved and know that we will stand up for them so they can seek for themselves.”  That is sheer lunacy and a slap in the face of God, scientific reality, and morality.

Those pushing to encourage children to question their sex and to desire transition to the opposite sex are a threat to our world.  They claim that those of us who resist are creating a moral panic.  If decrying the lunacy of their push is a moral panic, the sign me up that is what needs to transpire.  We need to stand up and protest taking children who hardly know the difference between boys and girls and creating confusion in their minds regarding their identity.  They are to be nurtured in a sound moral foundation, and there is no better source than the Bible.  Parents, not societal activists, are responsible for the nurture and care of their children. 

What is happening with our children is the equivalent of forcing diet pills and stomach stapling on the stomachs of anorexics.  It is worse than that; it denies children the reality of their bodies and how God made them.  The suggestion that these activists and the government love the children more than the parents is diabolical.  I believe this has been birthed out of the pits of hell and is designed to destroy all faith in God and the Bible.  It is a spiritual war and must be addressed in that manner.

America, we can save our children and our country but only by resisting the lunacy and returning to God. This is the only pathway to victory.

I know that is a strange title, but it is a biblical reference found in Philippians 3:2, where the apostle Paul warned, “Beware of the dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.”  He was not speaking of canines but evil spiritual carnivores that destroyed.  He was warning about what we could call extreme partisanship and divisive sects of ideological views.  Jesus said that we were not to throw the holy to the dogs, and He also referred to the false prophets as ravening wolves.  The analogy is clear that this is a reference to those who divide and destroy.

America is in peril in many ways in this modern era.  Our very system of government, a representative democracy or a republican system, is being threatened.  Some have been working to undermine our free market system of capitalism and enterprise and our representative government for decades.  They seek total dominance and total control of everything.  They are impeded in their pursuit so long as we have a free populace and an untarnished constitution. 

If those nefarious seekers of change gain permanent or semi-permanent control of the government through elected officials, bureaucrats, and the courts, we will face vicious dogs of destruction.  They have had control of the educational process for multiple generations, and the fruit of their labor is being harvested today.  There is a threat to America; depending on your ideological position, your view of what that is will differ with each person.

If I were to ask, “Who is the real threat to our Republic?” what would you answer?  Those on the Left would say Donald Trump and any who support him.  They would say those who hold conservative Christian values and are pro-life.  They would say that those who advocate for strong families with a mother and a father in the home are the greatest threat.  If you boil all that down to the basics, you will realize that anyone who engages in rational thought and deductive reasoning is their threat. 

On the other hand, if you are on the Right, you would turn that around and target the Democrats, the politically correct advocates, the pro-choice movement, the proponents of a gender-neutral society, etc.  So, it depends on where you align yourself ideologically, spiritually, politically, morally, or socially.  What you believe on those fronts determines whom you view as the greatest threat to our system of government in America.

This will not surprise any who knows me, but I contend that the Ultimate Greatest Threat is not politicians, activists, or bureaucrats.  What?  That cannot be right; surely, we must acknowledge that those are threats.  They are!  But I contend that the root of the problem is not the politician, the activist, or the bureaucrat but goes much deeper, ultimately to the powers of darkness seeking to destroy everything God created for good. 

However, that will not resonate with some, so I suggest we move more toward the surface of human existence and say that it is the mindset that those forces have engendered through decades of indoctrination, rhetoric, diatribe, and spin.  Then, we must bring it to the visible in our present world.  So, Who or What is the Greatest Threat to our System of Government? 

I suggest that there are many factors but will focus on just a few genuine threats to our system of government and our representative democracy.  Three immediately come to mind, but there are far more than three. 

Our Court System has become a real threat to our Constitutional System of Government in modern America.  The court system was implemented to rule on the constitutionality and legality of actions brought before it.  There has been a concerted effort to subvert that objectivity and transform the courts into a political arm and weapon against political opponents.  That makes the courts a threat to our system of government. 

The absolute lunacy of what has transpired can be verified by going back a few years to the Warren Court that targeted Republicans.  The GOP complained but complied.  The public voted for a Republican seven out of ten times for President, yet the courts continued to be Left-leaning, if not engaging in activism for the Left.  From 1968 to 2008, I watched the courts advance the progressive agenda, fabricate law out of thin air, and ignore stare decisis precedent and basic codified laws to advance the liberal agenda.  That is a genuine threat to our system of government.  Again, the GOP has complained but complied. 

Now that a more conservative Supreme Court is in place, there is the clamor from the Left to Pack the Court, ensuring that their agenda will be rammed through no matter the constitutional restraints. 

Another threat is the Legislature.  I know I said that the real threat was not politicians, and they are an extension of the root threat, but they are tools being used for flagitious purposes.  When politicians adopt the view that the voters are idiots and consider us the unlearned and uninformed, they become a threat to our system of government and ignore the constitutional edict that they govern only by our consent.   

When the legislature pursues agendas anathema to the Bible and rational reason and virtually wages war on the family, the church, God, and inalienable rights bequeathed to every person by God, they are a danger to our system of government.  We have people like Mark Kelly who openly suggested that those who disagree should be eliminated, and Fetterman, who wants to destroy everything connected to the oil and gas industry, has become a threat.  If you destroy the economy, you place people in a position to become dependent and thereby gain control of their lives. 

Another threat is our elections.  No, I am not suggesting we have none, but we should do everything possible to ensure one vote by one legitimate and qualified voter.  Returning to the Senate Race between Dr. Oz and Fetterman, we realize that about half the mail-in ballots had been cast before Fetterman’s incoherent and disastrous debate performance.  Would that have affected those voters?  I am convinced some of them would have had a cause to be concerned and would have withheld their vote from him. 

When the elections are fraught with fraud and lack oversight to ensure their legitimacy, they threaten our system of government.  In our formation as a nation, there was a compromise between large and small states, which produced the electoral college and the method of electing our presidents.  Everybody accepted the rules, and candidates strategized to campaign the hardest in the areas with the most likely votes and maximized their resources. 

Democrats loved the electoral college because they had formed blue strongholds in California, New York, and Illinois and had considerable support in the Rust Belt Midwest with the unions.  When Trump beat Hillary, the Democrats suddenly hated the Electoral College and wanted it to be by popular vote, stripping the smaller states of their representative voice.  Therefore, the Left has resorted to branding or attempting to label every conservative as a neo-fascist or neo-Nazi and cry, “threat to democracy.”  They instill fear in the hearts of the uninformed and become a genuine threat to our system of government.

What do we do?  There is no simple cookie-cutter answer, or one size fits all approach.  The nearest I can come to is 2 Chronicles 7:14, which urges all followers of Christ to commit themselves to prayer and follow the commands of Scripture, making them the rule of their lives, including how they vote.  Vote according to the precepts of God’s Word, and you will vote rightly.

In 1955, Pete Seeger borrowed or used an Irish melody and the first three verses and published it in Sing Out magazine.  Additional verses were added in 1960 by Joel Hickerson, who turned the tune into a circular song.  The rhetorical ‘where’ and mediation on the death place the song in the Ubi Sunt tradition. The Kingston Trio recorded “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?” in 1961.  Peter, Paul, and Mary included it in their eponymous debut album.  Marlene Dietrich performed the song in English, French, German, and a host of others.  It was used as a protest against the Vietnam War.

The song inspired my thoughts and question, “Where Have All The Patriots Gone?”  As I have mused on this, I realize that many believe they are true patriots and, like the prophet Elijah in the Old Testament, believe they are the only ones standing for Freedom.  As I muse on the question, I think back to the history of the Revolutionary War and the years following.  America needs her patriots to rise and come to the fore defending freedom, not unlike 1776.  The only real difference is that we are not fighting an external force but an internal one, making it even more dangerous.

In 1776, the years leading up to the outbreak of war and the subsequent years found many people, men, and women from different walks of life, stepping up and risking their all to secure freedom and maintain it.  In modern America, too often, we are only willing to fight for our particular pet peeves and causes rather than Freedom for All.  That is why I ask, “Where Have All The Patriots Gone?”  If Freedom is not free for everyone, then no one is truly free.  Inalienable Rights are for everyone, not just the select of the elect.

The original thirteen colonies declared themselves an independent country by issuing the Declaration of Independence.  When those men and the citizens of those colonies signed on to the cause, they were putting their freedom on the line and their lives.  They risked everything to fight for freedom. They knew that their fight was against seemingly insurmountable odds, and many in the clergy boldly declared that they could only succeed with the help of God.  They deemed the cause just and righteous and believed that the Almighty would, through divine providence, help them win.  I believe they were right!

The most famous men of the Revolutionary War and those laboring to write the Declaration of Independence and hammer out a compromise to produce our system of Government explained in the Constitution were patriots.  They knew they were still at risk even after securing a Peace Treaty with Great Britain.  They understood that their struggle would not be one battle or one effort but likely a lifetime of labor to secure and maintain the republic.  As I look at today, I have to ask, “Where Have All The Patriots Gone?”

I am a Vietnam Veteran.  I proudly served in the U.S. Military and would do so again without hesitation to fight for freedom.  I won’t argue the righteousness of the Vietnam War, but I will argue for patriotism.  I believe that America was founded with the hope that she would be a light shining into the darkness of despotism and reveal that freedom could be realized.  I believe America became the great nation it has been because of the providence of God and the justness of our original cause.  Have we deviated from that over the years?  How could I say that we have not, with the mountain of evidence to the contrary? 

How did we devolve into the condition that we now find ourselves in?  We did it because we slowly evolved to the place where we became so individualistic and self-focused that we opted to cease the required investment of patriotism.  I do not call it patriotism to simply go to the polls and vote.  I believe that a true patriot places their hand on the plow and invests in ensuring that politicians, judges, bureaucrats, and all political entities honor and follow the constitution.  We abdicated our constitutional responsibility and opted to allow the politicians to handle the politics.

The founders believed that any restraint, regardless of how seemingly benign, would create a domino effect that would be impossible to avert.  They sounded the alarm prophetically and pleaded with posterity to remain diligent and give careful oversight to those charged with leading the country.  We failed on virtually every front, and thus we find ourselves in the clutches of the nefarious deviants who want to fundamentally transform America into something other than the Constitutional Republic we were given.  That demands the question, “Where Have All The Patriots Gone?”

When more people care about what the Kardashians are doing, the lives of celebrities, sports, and what others think of them than they do about the nation’s state, we cannot claim to be patriotic.  When we become non-thinkers and drink the Kool-Aid of the politicians and activists, we become a nation devoid of patriots. 

Ronald Reagan said succinctly, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States, where men were free.”

Some of the causes for the quest to secure Independence from Great Britain were as simple as the Sugar Act (1764), the Stamp Act (1765), and the Townshend Acts (1767).  The infringement upon the colonist’s ability to live free without the overreach of the Crown grew almost daily.  The financial intrusion through taxation without representation weighed heavily on the colonists.  The fear of infringement upon religious liberties and the growing censorship were causes for the rise of the patriots and the unification of ideologies for a common cause.  Where is that today?

When conservatives not only fight the toxic liberal agenda but wage war on each other, we open the door for sectarianism, not patriotism.  A true patriot fights for what they want and for the best good of all and the republic. 

Congress and our federal bureaucracy are out of control and must be reined in if America is to remain free.  We have made so many mistakes and taken misguided pathways that we may be too far down the path to destruction to recover.  The domino effect is in effect, and only the True Patriots can stop it.  It may cost us everything, and some of us may be killed or incarcerated if we continue to speak up and speak out, but somebody has to stand in the Gap and make up the Hedge.  Congress no longer listens to the people; it is time for the people to get their attention. 

I am not suggesting armed resistance, but unified, concerted, and continual pressure be applied to every politician in Washington, every state house, and every local municipality. We must demand what we can rightfully demand that they follow the Rule of Law and the Constitution.  We can no longer let politicians handle politics. They have acted like an irresponsible teenager who found the liquor bottle and car keys.  They are a danger to themselves and the republic.  Patriots, it is time to Arise!

We need a unified, organized effort to primary all the politicians who have demonstrated a willingness to ignore the constitution.  We need to have an organized effort to overwhelm the switchboard of Washington. We need to fill their inboxes with emails and texts so they cannot ignore our presence.  If they do, then we must, without fail, defeat them at the polls.  That will also require us to participate in the ballot counting and electoral process.  How do we do that?  I am not sure, but I am working on it and will work with those seeking to resurrect patriotism in America!

I wish I could assert that Common Sense is the norm, but it is growing uncommon, especially in the political world.  We have some of the most highly educated people serving in positions of high office in America who are glaringly devoid of common sense.  That is worse than tragic it is catastrophic.

Someone said, “Common sense is the God-given nutrient needed to recognize insanity when one sees it.”  That is quite a statement but accurate.  The Bible warned us almost from the beginning of the depth and depravity that man would devolve into.  Included in that is the lunacy or lack of sanity that would be exhibited as mankind sought its enshrinement on the throne of the universe.  In America, we have exorcised God and opened the door for the demonic. 

I am old enough to remember when common sense was exercised normally. No one was pushing the agenda of the Global Warming Climate Change Activist and Alarmists.  We knew, both those on the Right and the Left, that the weather was cyclical.  It was never constant, and predicting it was an immense challenge.  We saw extremely cold winters and almost springlike winters.  We saw inferno summers and relatively mild summers.  We saw extreme droughts where the creeks and streams dried up, and we saw times when we wondered if Noah’s Ark might be nearby.  It was cyclical, and everybody understood that.  Common Sense was exercised.  Today, common sense is quite uncommon.

The prognosticators of destruction due to man’s violation of nature have been pronouncing our end for decades.  The only thing their paranoia and fearmongering have done is made some of them incredibly wealthy.  We have been inundated with the superfluous diatribe and manipulation of scientific data to the point that we have lost our federal government, and Climate Change has become a means to achieve an end. 

Our founding fathers appear far wiser than any of our current politicians and used common sense to reach a compromise and workable solution to their differences.  Unfortunately, in today’s political world, the external influence of foreign governments, businesses, and other entities is prevalent.  The current president has had his hand in so many foreign cookie jars that he is incapable of taking a positive pro-American stance against them because they own him.  I say own because the foundation for blackmail is visible to anyone but the willingly blind.

The most recent meeting of the G20 in November produced some disturbing revelations and reaffirmed the absence of common sense.  Point 23 of that meeting is something some think innocuous but is diabolical at its core.  In it, we find, “We acknowledge the importance of shared technical standards and verification methods, under the framework of IHR (2005), to facilitate seamless international travel, interoperability, and recognizing digital solutions and no-digital solutions, including proof of vaccines.”   At the very end of the declaration, you find the key.  A world mandate and tracking of those who have complied with the mandates force people to violate their consciences.

Maybe you are an adamant proponent of forced vaccines for everyone.  I am not.  It should be a personal choice rooted in our inalienable rights. 

The G20 will present these demands to the World Health Organization in May of 2023, and then the world will become subject to another tool that will ultimately lead to a one-world government.  We are rapidly moving to comply or die because you will only be able to buy, sell, travel, or work if you accept the world order mandates.  Those mandates will begin with inoculations and morph into more draconian measures.  It could become comply or die, and I say that will all seriousness.

The Freedom Caucus in the House of Representatives offered some Common Sense demands that the Establishment Republicans led by Kevin McCarthy will probably never fully support.  If they do, it will be a win for America.  Let me list some of what they have suggested, and you decide if you think their demands or requests are reasonable and laced with the uncommon novelty of common sense.

• Enact a “majority of the majority” rule insisting that before any legislation is offered, it must be supported by a majority of the House Republicans. 
• Restore the independence of the committees by electing chairs based on qualifications and effectiveness.
• Diversify the Steering Committee so that all House Republicans can have input on committee assignments.
• Open the legislative process to allow for amendments.  That was abandoned in 2006.
• Ensure fiscal responsibility by blocking consideration of any other bill until the House passes an appropriations bill by August 1^st of each year.
• End proxy voting.
• Restore the “motion to vacate the chair” so any member can offer a privileged motion to remove the Speaker.
• Restore the requirement so that a print is made to show how the legislation would change the existing laws before the bill receives a vote on the floor.
• Eliminate the ability to automatically suspend the debt ceiling without a standalone vote.
• Hold Bureaucrats accountable by restoring the “Holman Rule” to allow House members to make targeted spending cuts in spending bills.
• End secret deals by requiring the bills to be made available to the public five full days before a vote and require a two-thirds vote to suspend that rule.
• Ban earmarks to prevent taxpayer-dollar spending on lawmakers and lobbyist pet projects.

Those appear to be common sense measures and requests the Freedom Caucus desires to be enacted by the new Republican majority in the House.  Will we see Common Sense prevail?  It is highly unlikely based on the history of the Establishment Swamp Denizens of both parties.  The only hope we have is that McCarthy needs 218 votes to get things done. If at any time, he tells the Freedom Caucus to go where it doesn’t snow, he may have difficulty receiving those votes.  Therefore, hopefully, he and the other Republicans will embrace conservative principles, unlike they have done in the past few years.

We have an out-of-control federal government, a rogue FBI, and a militaristic IRS and DOJ, all serving as henchmen of the Leftist and Globalist.  If we do not restore common sense to Washington and the country, we will watch the insanity continue, becoming a pandemic of destruction like nothing we have ever seen. 

Time to awaken from our slumber and return to giving oversight to the federal government. Most average citizens have and exercise more common sense than the nonsensical members of Congress.

The warning to never underestimate your opponent is germane to every situation in life.  It could be people, principalities, powers, sickness, economic conditions, or anything else.  Whatever your opponent is, if you underestimate the potential that any enemy or obstacle embodies, it can and often does bring about defeat or damage.  If we know our enemy or opponent well enough, we can strategize to offset anything it or they might throw at us.  If we discount their possibilities, we leave ourselves unprepared, and our lack of preparation and planning can be and usually is destructive.

Too many on the Right are discounting any possibility of Joe Biden winning the Democratic nomination in the 2024 Presidential Race, and if he does, they insist he could never win.  That underestimation of the machine and the man could be costly.

I consider the warning of Newt Gingrich and others apropos and worthy of consideration.  Joe Biden has always been off his rocker, so to speak, and his inane and incoherent ramblings are not all that new.  I agree that he is suffering from a mental disorder that appears to be a form of Alzheimer’s or Dementia, but even with that, he is not operating alone.  His handlers are devious, dangerous, and destructive.  They are diabolical and have proven so.  Therefore, underestimating the Democratic Machine could be and likely will be costly. 

The plan of the followers of the toxic liberal globalist agenda seems to be to weaken America.  They are doing that by weakening our foundations, damaging our economy, and infringing upon our inalienable rights, privileges, and liberties; they are making America a prime target for the transformation they desire.  They have been systematic and persistent.  The damage they have caused has been prodigious.

Joe Biden may believe that he is being successful and that people love what he is doing.  That is not the issue.  The issue is how the spinmeisters are able to twist the facts and dupe those who are driven by emotion rather than reality.  If those whom Rush Limbaugh referred to as ‘low information voters’ embrace the spin or believe that anyone on the other side would bring about the apocalypse, he wins.  Add to that equation the obvious inconsistencies and cheating that always takes place; he could win.  We must never underestimate him or them.

Focusing on Biden’s inability to walk, talk, and chew gum at the same time is not what we must be focusing on.  Yes, he speaks incoherently and illogically reads everything on the teleprompter.  Yes, he is suffering from diminished brain capacity.  Yes, he gets angry when questioned and speaks out randomly with incoherent and nonsensical diatribes.  However, it is not what he says that bothers me; it is what he has and is doing that bothers me. 

We dare not forget the Executive Orders he has produced and the insurmountable damage they have done and will do.  We dare not forget the illegalities the Biden family has engaged in and the compromised state he is in dealing with foreign governments who have funneled money into his coffers.  We must not forget his alienation of our friends and his (as did Obama) embracing and facilitating the ability of our enemies.  We dare not forget his anti-American and anti-constitutional positions and actions.  Those bother me; his mumbling and bumbling orally or physically are low-hanging fruit on the tree.  Yet, many seem to focus on Trump’s abrasiveness and Biden’s incoherency rather than the actions and policies of those men.  That is a mistake!

Newt contended, and I agree, that Ronald Reagan and Dwight Eisenhower both wanted to be underestimated.  Eisenhower knew the importance of learning as much as possible about the enemy from WWII.  He knew the value of intelligence information. He knew the value of planning and strategy, and Reagan learned that well somewhere along the line.  Both were astute at staying one step ahead of their opponents and offering a visible, better, and more appealing path.  They won!  We can win, but not if we underestimate the opponent. 

Joe Biden has been in politics all his adult life.  If you remember or have researched, you discover that he was elected to the Senate at the age of 29. He was only eligible to be sworn in after the election in 1972.  He has fumbled and bumbled all of his political career and became a force in the Senate, then Vice President, and now President.  He stayed hidden from public view in his basement for virtually all of the 2020 campaign, but he is in the White House.  (I am not discounting the irregularities and cheating, but still, he is in the Oval Office.)  Underestimation would be a colossal mistake, as were the mid-terms by the GOP.

Let me remind you that even former President Barack Hussein Obama has joked about the ineptitude of Joe Biden.  He said, “We all know some folks in our lives…they say crazy stuff…Uncle Joe, you know what happened to him.  They’re part of the family, but you don’t give them serious responsibilities.”  Wow!  How much more serious a responsibility can you give than being President of the United States?  That is unless he is only the president in name and someone else is calling the shots.  Obama once said, “Don’t underestimate Joe’s ability to f*** things up.”  Wow!  Yet, millions still vote for him.  Underestimation could be catastrophic.

Some call him Crazy Joe, but he is sitting in the White House and capable of doing incredible harm to America.  No, he is damaging America greatly, yet we focus on his mumbling, bumbling, and incoherent speech.  Stop being deceived into believing that is what should be the focus.  The Actions are much more important than the words!  Underestimation would be to suffer self-inflicted wounds. 

I will not list all the incredible damage done via his pen and phone, but the oil and gas industry cannot be overlooked.  On day one, he shuddered our economy and virtually destroyed an industry that affects every aspect of our economy.  When mass shootings occur, he uses them to call for a ban on the so-called assault weapon, even when no such weapon was involved.  The drinkers of the pathetic drivel and diatribe rise up passionately and demand that “but if it saves even one life.”  What about abortion?  What about destroying people’s lives economically and medically that results in the loss of life?  Underestimation is always a mistake. 

As a preacher and a Christian, I tell people never to underestimate the power of the little foxes to spoil the vine.  Never underestimate the power of temptation to wreck a life.  Never underestimate the ability of the devil to deceive and lure one into a place of destruction.  We laugh at Biden’s faux paws in speaking and fail to articulate the damage done in his actions and the actions of his Donkey co-conspirators of destruction.

Our Freedom of Speech, Thought, Right to Protect Ourselves, and make our own life choices are being threatened daily.  There is a concerted effort to restrict our religious freedoms, if not eliminate those freedoms completely.  We can focus on the clownish actions and words of Joe Biden, AOC, Pelosi, and Fetterman and lose sight of the incredible danger and damage done by their actions.  We must not underestimate the opponent.

If we expect to win in 2024 and avoid another shameful election as we just endured, we must strategize, focusing on the real issues, not mumblings.  We must commit ourselves to prayer for the nation and invest our time, energy, and money into defeating the destroyers.  We must become involved in poll watching and keep the heat turned up as high as we can on the elected officials in Washington.  It is up to us to engage the enemy with a real plan of attack and not be fooled into following the wrong path.

Whenever the federal government says, “I’m here to help,” I get concerned.  What exactly are they here to do?  Who or whom are they trying to help?  What is the hidden agenda?  Will the long-term effect be positive or negative for our constitutional liberties and freedoms?  Will it reduce the control of the government bureaucrats or increase it?  Those and a plethora of other questions come to mind when dealing with the government.

Does that make me a conspiracist?  I don’t think so, but I confess that when it comes to the government and most politicians, I am somewhat of a skeptic.  I trust God.  I trust the constitution.  I trust the intent of the Founding Fathers, but the current federal government, not so much, and sometimes not at all. 

The Bible speaks of the foundations, and in Psalm 11:3, we read, “If our foundations are destroyed, what should the righteous do?”  In viewing the writings of our founding fathers, studying history, and watching our moral decline and the result, I would contend that the support foundations include moral laws, ethics, spiritual consciousness, and morality.  The fundamental principles of law and order and justice hinge on those being in place.  Are they in modern America? 

If the foundations are destroyed, what then?  Some in modern America have become so disillusioned and discouraged that they have become fatalists.  I hear more and more people say, “What’s the use? Nothing is going to change.”  I believe that is the wrong outlook, not because I believe in the goodness of man but in the greatness of God. 

Someone paraphrases the words of Psalm 11 – “If men have no regard to laws and public decrees, which are the foundation of human society, but will boldly violate all known and standing rules of justice and truth; what can the righteous do? — What security can an honest man have? or what should he do but make haste away from the place where they act so arbitrarily and are so perfidious?”  Basically, that is saying if the righteous have not prevented or stepped up to resist the societal anarchy and collapse, what could David or any leader do?  Are we there in America today?

I want to revive some old history and discuss the perfidious actions involving the Coronavirus and the vaccines.  Let me state at the outset that I am not so much focused on whether some did or did not take the jab but on the lack of forthrightness by the government.  I believe that it should be an individual decision. I am more focused on the lockdown of the entire world, with minimal information being given to the public.  I said at the beginning that we should be questioning this action unless they know something far direr than they are telling us.  However, there was almost no pushback by the public.  What did they fail to reveal?  I still do not know, but I want to know.

We were told this was the deadliest virus the world had ever seen.  Yes, people got sick and died as a result.  The almost immediate fanning of the flames of fear and paranoia caused the world to panic, and people like docile sheep complied with the mandates.  I believed then, and I believe now that this was a trial run, and now that they have seen what can be done, the diabolical seeking world dominance will spring something on us in the near future that will be more dangerous and destructive.  Some of that desire to reduce the world’s population by one-fourth or one-third. 

I watched with incredible alarm as there was a reported shortage of ventilators, and people infected with COVID were warehoused in nursing homes with the very vulnerable elderly.  Why?  Was that a double-edged sword?  Did they, with premeditation, use this to euthanize some of the elderly and infirm whose cost (in their minds) outweighed their benefit?  That is plausible with the devaluing of the baby in the womb and the stated desire to reduce the world population.  It is diabolical and inhumane but plausible.

We were told early by some medical doctors of the value and benefit of Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine. Still, the federal government and the CDC thwarted that effort trying to debunk their usefulness and prevent doctors from using them.  That, according to many medical doctors, costs thousands of lives needlessly.  The quashing of those drugs allowed the government to push for emergency authorization before adequate testing and full disclosure of what was in the vaccines to be granted. 

There was a push to use Remdesivir.  A drug that has proven to harm the kidneys and liver and, according to many medical experts, had a negligible effect on COVID.  The terribleness of disallowing families to be with their loved ones when they were placed on ventilators or taken off ventilators and left to die. 

There is the contention of research scientists that the mRNA vaccine is flawed and has the potential to do long-term damage to the internal organs, the immune system, and the circulatory system.  We saw a spike in health issues with young men where otherwise healthy adults were having heart attacks or deadly blood clots, as well as an increase in cancer.  Were those connected?  Only time will tell, and even then, we may never know. 

It is reported that there has been an increase in miscarriages and stillbirths in vaccinated females.  There have been reports of a measurable reduction in sperm counts in vaccinated men.  There seems to have been a rise in unexpected mortality unrelated to COVID.  Additionally, we have seen RSV in the news for the first time.  What is RSV?  It is a Respiratory Syncytial Virus causing a call for it to be declared a health emergency in children.

Please understand that I do not know if the vaccine was safe or dangerous.  What I know is that the government continually side-stepped the questions, protected the pharmaceutical companies that produced it, and sought to use the pandemic to achieve political ends.  That troubles me and causes me to wonder if there was something far more nefarious at work. 

The FDA issued warnings and even edicts that people were to stop taking Ivermectin for COVID.  They now claim that was just a suggestion, not a mandate.  Most medical doctors did not consider it a suggestion.  They used terms like, “You are not a horse.  You are not a cow.  So, stop taking the drug.”  Hidden within their statements is a remarkably interesting bullet.  “If your health care provider writes you an Ivermectin prescription, fill it through a legitimate source such as a pharmacy, and take it exactly as prescribed.” 

In my mind, that is an admission that it was effective.  So, why the push to prevent it?  If it had been used early in the COVID pandemic, many lives would have likely been spared, and the total lockdown and destruction of our economy would not have transpired.  Was there a hidden motive?  Again, this is more reason for me to distrust and question the edicts of the government. 

I know some people who took Ivermectin, Vitamin C, Zinc, and a few other things and faired quite well as they battled infection.  One doctor told me that had the push been to treat COVID with the things that appeared to work early; many would not have been hospitalized.  He said that it was virtually too late when they got to the hospital.  He considered it medical malpractice to have taken the government-prescribed treatment plan of doing nothing until you had to go to the hospital. 

I believed then and now that taking or not taking the vaccine should be an individual decision, not a forced mandate. The government has repeatedly violated our trust and given us cause to distrust them and question their motives and intent.  We are in the throes of an effort to reduce the world population and transform every sovereign nation into a world conglomerate of countries under a singular ruling authority.  That is spoken of in the Bible, and I write to ask people to pray and question rather than comply, not docile non-thinking sheep.

I cautiously address this, and although I wish it were an exercise in humor, the things I will cite are authentic and dangerous.  I laugh when possible and take things with a grain of salt.  However, in the modern era politically, I am finding that increasingly difficult in America.

What baffles me is the reality that millions either agree with the political lunacy, do not care, or are blinded by political bias.  Why do I say that?  Because they continue to vote for those advancing those policies and pursuing those agendas.  There is no logical explanation for that phenomenon, but a reality, it is.

There are entities like The Babylon Bee that seek to use parody to bring people to their senses or offer something to laugh at.  Some entertainers write and sing parody songs that highlight the lunacy of today.  It would be wonderful to laugh it off, but with the seriousness and danger of the end game of the agenda of those following the toxic liberal lunacy, I cannot do that.  Therefore, I continue to sound the alarm and hope enough people will awaken and unite to salvage our Republic.

Let us walk back a few months to the California Lunacy, where their Governor and the illustrious politicians opted to take money from legal taxpaying citizens to buy medical insurance for the illegals.  Couple that with the lunacy of the Federal Government sending out virtual truckloads of COVID relief cash, and we now discover that over a Billion of it found its way into the pockets or hands of incarcerated inmates, including the Boston Marathon Bomber.  How sane is that?

We have constitutional restraints for many things the government is doing, but our elected members of Congress fail to enforce the Constitution.  The constitution offers protection and restraint, but it cannot enforce itself. With the abridgments by the White House, bureaucrats, Representatives, and Senators, as well as the courts, we are left with a piece of paper that is ignored and meaningless.  It is meaningful but becomes impotent when not enforced by those charged with enforcing it.

With the lunacy of spending more than one-third of our national production (GDP) and maxing out the federal credit cards with over $20 Trillion this past year, one would wonder if there were an ounce of sanity in Washington.  The draconian lockdowns that occurred during the height of the COVID pandemic only make sense if you consider the seeming agenda of control.  All that happened with the Vaxx Mandates, the Lockdowns, and the other infringements upon our Rights and Liberties were trial runs.  I am convinced that we will see worse and direr things soon.  I hope I am wrong!

Almost no thinking American, including the legal Hispanic community, believes that the Border Crisis is good.  Most Americans view the illegal invasion as a problem, yet this president, this Congress, and our Courts seem to disagree.  Allowing unvetted, sick, and those engaging in human trafficking, drugs, and more to enter freely and stay is antithetical to everything America has stood for and anathema to reason.  Yet, they continue, and there is no evidence that any of those in Washington will take the necessary steps to stop the lunacy and destruction.  How did we become this blind?  How did we become this anti-American and anti-Freedom?  You say, I’m not okay with that, but millions continue to elect those who are.

The border crisis is just the tip of the iceberg of idiocy, and the long-term problems accompanying it could mean the end of our Free Constitutional Republic.  Is that the plan?  When the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Protection Agency announces that the apprehension of more than 2.1 million illegals came across our borders in the fiscal year ending in August, any reasonable person should see the problem and danger.  In August, we had six consecutive months with arrests of more than 200,000 each month.  Most of those were released, adding to the endless flooding across the border and even aiding in their violation of our immigration laws.

Our military’s purpose is protecting us, but with the Wokeism that has become epidemic, the strength of our military is suspect.  I cannot imagine a military where Air Force Academy cadets cannot use the terms “Mom and Dad.”  Have we gone completely bonkers?  The cadets are warned not to commit what was called “microaggressions” by using terms like “you guys” or “terrorists.”  They were told that rather than saying “Mom and Dad,” they were to use terms such as “Parent or Caregiver.”  They were informed they could no longer say “boyfriend or girlfriend.” Still, they were to use the term “partner.”  The focus is no longer on national security and training but on being politically correct and embracing the pervasive Woke Mentality in our culture.  That is beyond lunacy!

We have come to the place where the declaration of William F. Buckley is germane and apropos of today’s political Woke PC World.  He said, “I would rather be governed by the first 2,000 people in the telephone directory than by the Harvard University faculty.”  We could probably use virtually any University’s faculty aptly.  Much of our so-called academia and Woke World’s view of itself makes them too smart for their own good.  Knowing stuff does not make one intelligent; being able to rightly apply that knowledge makes one wise.  We are grossly devoid of wisdom in today’s political world.

My earthly father was not a well-educated man.  He only finished the 9^th grade, but he was a very wise man.  He could outthink most of today’s politicians and taught himself to do virtually everything that needed to be done around our small farm.  He was a survivor and innovative.  He might not do things according to the blueprint of academia, but what he did worked, and his ability to think and create provided a living for our family and a secure home. 

My earthly father wanted his children to be better educated than he was and wanted us to surpass him in our accomplishments.  Yet, he was careful to instill in us the ability to think so that we would not become the south ends of northbound horses.  By today’s standards, my earthly father would have been deemed unqualified to lead the city or state where we lived. Still, I believe he would have done a better job with more reasoned sanity than most of those highly educated windbags in Washington who don’t know how the rest of us live. 

I am pro-education but insist that academic credentials are far from coterminous with genius.  I hear today’s intellectuals insist that men like Ronald Reagan, Donald Trump, or imbeciles, and I laugh.  Those men, with all their flaws, proved to be more interested in America and Americans than the entire lot of the so-called qualified and educated.  They make the flawed assumption that intelligence and effectiveness politically are based on academic degrees.  Results cannot be dismissed and should never be diminished.

I have touched on just a few of the dying flowers in the Garden of Lunacy in modern America and ask, “How Could Anyone Vote For The Followers of the Toxic Agenda Being Advanced by the Toxic Liberal, Globalists of today?”
