INAUGURATION DAY – January 20, 2017…

The 45th President of the United States of America will be sworn in in Washington, DC on Friday, January 20, 2017.  That man will be Donald J. Trump along with his Vice President, Mike Pence former governor of Indiana.  Mr. Trump will face opposition like no incoming president has ever experienced.  I am quite sure that virtually all Presidents or Presidential Candidates were or are ‘egotist’ and possibly suffer from some degree of ‘narcissism’.  Mr. Trump is no exception and has demonstrated that he is not a ‘diplomat’, in the normally understood sense of the word.  He is also not a ‘statesman’ in the minds of most.  He is an individual whose history and background has made him a fighter.  He is an action-oriented individual that does not like ‘red tape’ nor does he follow the normally accepted and demanded ‘protocol’ of politics.  His background is business and in business, you ‘make deals’ to achieve your objective and often bypass steps in the ‘pomp and ceremony’ of what is deemed political decorum.  We have seen this before in Washington but never in an environment where every word and deed is reported around the world in a matter of minutes.  He will be under the microscope 24/7/365 and those who hate him will continually seek for any flaws or failures perceived or real.

The American people deserve a government that is not intrusive but for many reasons we do not have that any longer.  There have been sinister forces at work for well over 100 years to sabotage our system, fundamentally transform it into something other than the government “of the people, for the people, and by the people” our founders and the framers desired.  We have shifted from Citizen Representatives to Professional Politicians. We moved from Senators being representatives of their individual states to power brokers and a political aristocracy.  We have transitioned from Representatives who served a term or two and then went back to private life and lived under the laws, rules, regulations, and restrictions they imposed on the rest of us.  We have allowed the politicians to make the rules, determine the game, and call the plays as we enjoyed liberty and the fruit of capitalism.  They are guilty and we are guilty of allowing our Republic to get in this state.  They (politicians) like leopards won’t change their spots so the change must come via WE THE PEOPLE.  That will not be easy nor will it be quick.  It did not happen overnight and will not be corrected overnight or even in a decade or two.  The tentacles of corruption run so deep that major surgery is required and radical surgery is never easy nor painless.  Do we have the fortitude and commitment to achieve that objective?  TIME WILL TELL.

The Next President, Donald J. Trump has made some bold promises and he will be judged positively or negatively based on his fulfillment of those pledges.  Some of them, most of us knew when they were made, were hopes rather than reality.  Some of us have observed Washington for enough years to know that the politicians are not going to cede power that easily and will resist in a unified coalition to defend their turf.  If they were Citizen Representatives, Constitutional Defenders, and had entered politics to serve America and Americans they would welcome some of the changes he has suggested, but they will not. They will seek to appear to support while taking actions that will hinder if not prevent them from becoming reality.  Position, Power, and Purse are more important to the Elitist Political Establishment than America or Americans.  History is far more reflective than campaign promises and that is true from top to bottom in the political food-chain.

Friday, even with the outcries and opposition, planned disruption, and behind the scenes scheming, God willing, we will have a new President and Donald J. Trump will become the 45th President of these United States of America.  My prayer is that those in his inner circle will positively influence him to do what needs to be done even if it is not popular or understood by many.  America First, truly needs to be the mantra by which his administration operates.  We have issues domestic and international that require strong, definitive, and swift action.  We can see our economy restored by removing the stranglehold of the federal government on business large and small.  We can see our borders secured by addressing the porousness of the Southern border and enforcing our laws.  We can see our national security strengthened by identifying our enemies, providing our Armed Forces with that which they need and becoming a friend to our friends and a danger to our enemies.  We can see our nation healed but only if we are willing to set aside our personal biases, preferences, and prejudices. We must put America First. 

My prayer for the new administration is that it will be willing to consider all options and place America’s needs ahead of ideology or preference.  I pray they will make the Constitution the cornerstone of their governance and take the oath of office to heart as they promise to ‘protect and defend’ the American constitution.  I pray that this administration will take actions that will allow us to return to our moral moorings and once again become the United States of America.  I realize that my prayer will require a miracle to become reality for there are millions who are committed beyond concession to DEFEAT, DESTROY, and DAMAGE the new President.  I am not a Donald Trump cheerleader, as someone accused, but am an American and realize that for him to fail, America is the real loser and that I do not want.

The politicians and celebrities boycotting the Inauguration in protest of Mr. Trump are, in my view, disrespecting the office and our system of government.  The Inauguration is a symbol and reflection to the world that America enjoys the peaceful transfer of power, not bloody coups.  I believe that out of respect to the Constitution, the Presidency, and our System of Government, as well as their constituents Elected Officials should attend. Their presence does not mean they support the new president but that they respect the office.  But, the Democrats boycotted Abraham Lincoln’s Inauguration so this is nothing new.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION AND THE FALSE NARRATIVE…

Illegal Immigration is a serious problem in America and will continue to be so UNLESS we take definitive action to secure the border, identify the illegals, and deal with them.  I know, some will chide me and declare that I am being insensitive to the ‘Dreamers’ and those who are not engaging in further criminal activity but are simply here trying to find a better life.  I have empathy for their situation but the matter of America, our National Sovereignty, and National Security must also be part of the discussion.

Donald Trump campaigned on the promise that he would deal with our border security and the millions of illegals currently in the United States.  How is quite another question, but one that must be addressed.  Many, including some of my very conservative friends who insist they believe in the constitution as written, are at odds with Mr. Trump and me on this issue.  They advance the idea of ‘birthright citizenship’ for the children of illegals and I believe that to be a misunderstanding and misinterpretation of the constitution.  If you will give me a chance I will explain my position and then you can agree, disagree, or take it under advisement for further review and consideration.  I am not alone and those opposing my view are not alone, so we disagree.  The central issue is THE CONSTITUTION not any of our opinions.

I have seen reports that Congress has plans to offer legislation that will legalize Barack Obama’s illegal action in allowing DREAMERS to stay.  Dick Durbin, D-IL and Lindsey Graham, R-SC have partnered in this effort to protect the DREAMERS should Donald Trump repeal the Executive Action before Congress takes up the matter.  Senator Durbin has named the bill the BRIDGE ACT.  They are joined by other Senators and the program is designed to create a three-year program to give temporary protection for those eligible for DACA and those who already have DACA status would be grandfathered in when their DACA lapse and could apply for temporary protection.  This is touted as a morally right and humane thing to do.  I disagree!

Although I cannot envision the United States doing a mass round-up of illegals and deporting them in the millions it is an issue that must be dealt with.  To allow illegals to gain legal status without having gone through the process that others have and are not going through is to make shambles of our Immigration System and encourage people to come here illegal, have babies and gain legal status.  That is a recipe for disaster!  I am very interested in being humane, morally right, biblically correct, and constitutionally sound in my response to anyone and everyone legal or illegal.

Professor Edward Erler, a professor at California State University and a Claremont Institute senior fellow has expounded on this issue in a powerful manner and he disagrees with Senators Durbin and Graham and those who have adopted ‘birthright citizenship’ as a constitutional right of the children of illegals born on American soil.  Professor Erler, right stated that “Congress has the authority under Section Five of the Fourth Amendment, to define the jurisdiction of the United States.  Congress has, in my view, exercised that power on numerous occasions including the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996.”  Senator Howard Jacob, the author of the citizenship clause of the Fourteenth Amendment spoke about this and his definition should be considered carefully.

He said, “Every person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, [meaning the states – their jurisdiction] is, by virtue of natural law and national law, a citizen of the United States.  This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons.  It settles the great question of citizenship and removes all doubt as to what persons are or are not citizens of the United States.  This has long been a great issue in the jurisprudence and legislation of this country.”  Did you catch that?  IT DOES NOT INCLUDE, foreigners, aliens, or those whose who belong to families of ambassadors or foreign ministers!  IT DOES NOT INCLUDE!  I don’t know how that could be any clearer regarding the children of illegals born on American soil.  Their parents are not citizens and are under the jurisdiction of the country of their origin and their children are to be classified the same as the parents!

The Civil Rights Acts of 1866 defined citizens of the United States as ‘all persons born in the United States and not subject to any foreign power, excluding Indians not taxed.’  NOT SUBJECT TO ANY FOREIGN POWER!  Thomas Jefferson said, “Aliens are the subjects of a foreign power.”  Senator Trumbull stated during the drafting of the national birthright law that the goal of the legislation was to “make citizens of everyone born in the United States who owe allegiance to the United States.”  He went on to say, “if the negro or white man belonged to a foreign Government he would not be a citizen.”  On March 1, 1866, the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, James F. Wilson of Iowa declared, “We must depend on the general law relating to subjects and citizens recognized by all nations for a definition, and that must lead us to the conclusion that every person born in the United States is a natural-born citizen of such States, except that of children born on our soil to temporary sojourners or representatives of foreign Governments.”  John Bingham, a Framer of the 14th Amendment stated, as is recorded in Sec. 1992 of the U.S. Revised Statutes that this meant, “every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural-born citizen.” Senators Howard and Trumbull both staunchly demanded that the provision was, “all persons born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens.”  That, in their words and view meant that the central issue was SUBJECT TO THE COMPLETE JURISDICTION THEREOF.  What does that mean?  They do not owe allegiance to anybody else or any other country.  ILLEGALS owe allegiance to the country of their origin!  Sen. Trumbull further restates the goal of the language: “It is only those persons who come completely within our jurisdiction, who are subject to our laws, that we think of making citizens…”  I would ask that you note that Senator Trumbull does not say temporarily within our jurisdiction, but “completely within our jurisdiction”. 

We do not recognize double allegiance for by our laws a citizen is required and bound to be ‘true and faithful’ alone to the government of the United States.  To argue that ‘subject to the jurisdiction thereof’ somehow affirms the feudal common law doctrine of birth citizenship to aliens would be to embrace the idea of ‘double allegiance’ between separate nations!  Aaron Sargent, a Representative from California argued during the debates regarding the Naturalization Act of 1870 that the Fourteenth Amendment’s citizenship clause WAS NOT a de-facto right for aliens to obtain citizenship.  That was not disputed then and should not be now.

If we allow Congress to act in such a manner as to completely shred our Immigration Laws, we will effectively destroy our borders and damage our National Security and National Sovereignty.  I pray their plans fail and Mr. Trump takes definitive action to correct our illegal immigration problem.

WHAT GRADE WOULD YOU GIVE BARACK OBAMA?

Things do not always go as planned but when it comes to Barack Obama’s presidency, I’m not sure that he has not succeeded in advancing his core ideology.  However, if we were grading his administration in its contribution to America’s advancement and Constitutional integrity we would give him a failing grade.  I’m sure he would assess his 8 years in office as a rousing success.  Perception is not truly a reality in a factual sense but becomes reality to those willing to accept the rhetoric and spin presented.  Facts are often inconsequential and unimportant and perception is of paramount importance. 

In the State of the Union address in 2016, Mr. Obama stated that one of his chief initiatives was to “Secure the Paris climate agreement.”  That was not submitted to Congress as a treaty and can be ignored by the incoming President, Donald J. Trump.  He also sought to achieve his “Iran nuclear deal.”  This was another example where Mr. Obama viewed his powers as that of a dictator and omnipotent ignoring the requirement to submit it as a treaty to Congress.  It opened the door for Iran to proceed unimpeded to nuclear proliferation.  Iran has violated the accord on numerous occasions and did so from the beginning. This opens the door for the new administration to either rip it to shreds or resubmit it to Congress where it would almost assuredly be rejected.  Either way, it should be a dead deal that was a very bad deal.

One of the items that Mr. Trump highlighted in the campaign was the “Trans-Pacific Partnership” which Mr. Obama has called one of his signature accomplishments.  Even Hillary Clinton was forced to acknowledge that it was a bad deal and has almost no true support in Congress or the public.  Another of his initiatives that can only be deemed a failure.  Mr. Obama virtually ignored precedent, history, Congress, and the American people in his “Reopening Cuba” and ignoring the incredible atrocities in human rights of the Castro Regime.  He has proclaimed that ISIS or ISIL was nothing more than the Junior Varsity, was being destroyed, dismantled, and contained.  WRONG AGAIN and the Grade we, must give you sir is an “F”! 

He will be remembered for his unwise actions regarding Afghanistan and Iraq that has produced more instability in the region and emboldened the terrorist.  His desire and attempts to “Close Guantanamo Bay” has repatriated terrorist leaders who have reentered the fight to bring havoc to the world and has killed Americans.  He thinks he has “Rebalanced the Asia-Pacific Region” but rather than rebalancing he has opened the door for China’s continued expansionism and aggression.  His record regarding “Cybersecurity” reveal abysmal failures one after the other and we are highly exposed to an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) by the terrorist or an adversarial foreign government and the power grid, electronics, transportation, and much more would come to a screeching halt and America would be dangerously exposed to attack.  HE HAS FAILED on virtually every front and if the next President, Donald J. Trump, and the Republicans do not take definitive actions to REPEAL many if not most of his policies and RESTORE the Republic to a Constitutional Status we are in real trouble in America.  I would predict, trouble that we will never dig our way out of.  BUT, WE CAN CHANGE THIS DIRECTION!

It is my view and that of many who are far more astute on these matters than I that Mr. Obama’s 2nd Term has been a colossal failure.  However, my view of failure and his view of success are assuredly not the same.  I am quite sure that the Progressives, Liberals, Socialist, Globalist, and haters of America view his two terms as roaring successes.  They would likely lament that he did not or was not able to go far enough in his ‘fundamental transformation’ of America. Those of us who are lovers of Freedom value the American Constitution, and desire to see limited government and a return to Constitutional Republicanism view him as a failure.  He advanced no policies that bettered America.  He has not strengthened our Constitution but has weakened our ability to enjoy our inalienable rights.  He has fanned the flames of racial discord, created a greater chasm with regard to class envy, and advanced political correctness to a position that it is destroying this nation.  HE HAS FAILED THE REPUBLIC but SUCCEEDED in advancing his ideological agenda.  That is good for the terrorist, the progressives, the globalist, and our enemies and bad for America as the Free Constitutional Republic.  I PRAY THAT WE SEE CHANGE that is Pro-America in the next four years!

THE MASSIVE FEDERAL BUREAUCRACY IS… H-U-G-E!!!

Sorry, I couldn’t resist using that word and while it does not fully convey the gargantuan size of the federal bureaucracy that now exists.  Our founding fathers would be livid were they able to appear on the scene today and view what we have allowed to transpire in our federal government.  We have become something quite other than what they envisioned and exactly what they warned us against.  We slept while the bureaucrats stole our republic and now we have the exhausting and grueling task of fighting to take it back and cut off the far-reaching tentacles of the federal bureaucracy.  Can we accomplish it?  I doubt it, at least not in our lifetime but if we do not begin now attempting to do so, we will have doomed the generations of our grandchildren and beyond to the tyranny of bureaucratic regulations that virtually suspend our constitution.  WE SURELY DO NOT WANT THAT!

Barack Obama has been on a rampage in issuing new regulations that will cost BILLIONS if not TRILLIONS over their lifetime and further cripple our economy and endanger our republic.  Congress could have acted long before now to reign in this type of rogue sunset destruction but they opted to neglect their duty and we have what we have.  Mr. Obama is hell-bent on making life difficult if not impossible for the incoming president Donald J. Trump and the Republicans in Congress.  There are things they could, should and must do if we have any hope of turning this runaway train around and begin the slow and deliberate process of returning to fiscal and political in America.  Will they?  WE WILL SEE!

The House Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows, R-NC released a list of more than 200 rules, regulations, and executive orders they hope the incoming president will target and repeal.  Unfortunately, with a list that massive, it would be too easy to get lost in the enormity of the problem and only superficially deal with the issue.  There must be prioritization and those items at the top of the list MUST be seriously addressed immediately.  The first 100 days are incredibly important and the first 6 months are critical if the Trump administration has any hope of achieving many of its stated objectives found in his campaign promises.  I will work diligently to ensure that my Representative with his C-Liberty Score and the two Senators who have an A (Cruz) and F (Cornyn) Liberty Score move with dispatch to address the prioritized issues.

Some bills that were introduced and should be reintroduced include, H.R.712 – “Sunshine for Regulatory Decrees and Settlements Act”.  This addresses the issue of outside groups ‘suing and settling’ with the federal government behind closed doors and the settlement results in ‘new regulations’.  The House passed this 244-173 in 2015 but McConnell never allowed it to come to a vote in the Senate.  Thanks, Mitch!  There is H.R. 427 – “Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny (REINS) Act.”  I love the acronym because with Mr. Obama’s current barrage of regulations at a cost of BILLIONS Congress needs to be required to approve those with the hefty price tags many of the have.  This too was passed by the House in 2015 but never voted on by the Senate.  There is H.R. 4768 – “Separation of Powers Act”.  This would reverse the doctrine created by the Supreme Court in 1984 called the Chevron Doctrine.  What that doctrine allows is for the courts to defer to federal regulatory agencies’ interpretation of perceived ambiguities in the federal law.  THAT IS RIDICULOUS!  This act would require that both the Supreme Court and lower courts rule on regulations based on merit, not deference.  This was passed by the House in 2016 but the Senate seemed to be oblivious to its existence.  Then there is H.R. 5982 – “Midnight Rules Relief Act”.  This would allow Congress to disapprove multiple regulations finalized by federal regulatory agencies within the 60 days allowed by Congressional Review Act.  This passed the House but no vote in the Senate.  Do you see a pattern?  The House passes something but the Senate ignores it.  One of the number one issues that the Trump administration SHOULD deal with is the Repeal and Replacement of Obamacare.  The government is out of control and now is the time to act!

If Congress does its job and the Trump administration fulfills its promises, we will move toward restoration of Article I of the Constitution and once again see true ‘Separation of Powers’ and genuine ‘Checks and Balances’ in Washington.  That is good for WE THE PEOPLE and good for the Republic.  I also, pray that Congress will pass a Balanced Budget Act and stick to it.  I would like to see us move from a ‘baseline budget’ to a ‘zero-based budget’.  That would allow us to stop having automatic 5-10% increases and calling anything less a ‘budget cut’.  With ‘zero-based budgeting’ we would require every agency to begin at ZERO and justify the funds it needs and not simply perpetuate itself but operate with fiscal reality.  The same with our subsidies and foreign aid funds.  Begin at ZERO and those countries MUST have demonstrated their loyalty to us as an ally otherwise they get ZERO and many of them should get ZERO regardless.  Those are among my 2017 Wishes for the New Administration and the 115th Congress.  TIME TO ACT NOW!

A NEW PRESIDENT – My Hope and My Concern…

January 20, 2017, is Inauguration Day and the 45th President of the United States of America will be sworn in.  The designation of President-elect will transition to President and Donald Trump will become the President.  What does that mean?  To some, it is their worst nightmare and to others, it is a ray of hope breaking through the clouds of gloom we have known for the past 8 years.  For some, it is a wait and see attitude and others it means war to stop him at all costs.  America is a deeply divided nation and while I hope we will see a mending of fences, bridging divides, and common ground, that is not what appears to be what is going to happen in Mr. Trump’s term of office.

Mr. Trump follows a president that has, in my view, blatantly ignored the Constitution and our Constitutional Legislative method of government.  Mr. Obama stated, “I am president and I can do what I want.”  He also said, “If Congress won’t act (do what I want), I have a pen and a phone and I will go it alone.”  He lamented more than once that the Constitution was a nuisance and hindrance to what he wanted to do because it limited government or progressive liberal ideological agendas.  Mr. Obama abused the Executive Privilege in his, sometimes, lawless Executive Fiats, Orders, and Actions.  Tragically  Congress, for the most part, either ignored his lawlessness or refused to offer more than a whimper in protest.  He set a precedent that could produce a far more Tyrannical Executive Branch, further render the Legislative and Judicial Branches impotent and ‘fundamentally transform’ us from being a Constitutional Republic into an Oligarchy or a Soft or Hard Tyranny run by a Despot in the White House.  That is or should not be acceptable to any American.

My Hope is that Mr. Trump will have the support of Congress and legally enact legislation to fulfill his campaign promises and the will of the people as expressed in the many states he won.  My Hope is that Mr. Trump will faithfully execute his oath of office and duties as President to “Protect and Defend” the Constitution.  My Hope is that he and Congress will remember the campaign promises and take quick and definitive steps to make them a reality reversing the course and repairing much of the damage done over the past 8 years by Barack Obama and the leftist.  That is my HOPE!

My Concern is that Mr. Trump may become frustrated by the obstructionism and lack of support by Establishment Republicans in enacting his agenda that he follows the path of Mr. Obama and takes matters into his own hands to get done what he knows needs to be done.  I pray that does not happen for it would further damage our Republic and weaken our System of Government moving us away from Federalism and Republicanism toward Tyranny.  Even if Mr. Trump took steps to bypass the Legislative and Judicial system and his desire was to achieve something that I fully support, I would be opposed to that way of achieving the goal.  The end does not always justify the means and subverting the Constitution is not in the best interest of America or Americans. 

I am fully aware of how inept Congress has been at times, and how frustrating their inaction, cronyism, protectionism of their elitist class of professional politicians, and self-serving actions can be.  I understand how slow the wheels of Congress often turn in producing something good and lasting and how quickly they sometimes turn producing bad laws.  I realize that Donald J. Trump is a ‘take action’ personality that will find business as usual in Washington incredibly frustrating.  My Hope is that he will use his bully pulpit to motivate the American people to apply sufficient pressure on Congress to ACT POSITIVELY in achieving the Campaign Promises that are needed.

There are those on the left who hope that the obstructionism the left is planning and the apparent lack of support and cooperation from the Establishment Republicans will so frustrate Mr. Trump that he either takes action that opens the door for impeachment or he will become so frustrated at the ‘do-nothingness’ of DC he will quit.  I pray neither become a reality.  If Mr. Trump is unable to achieve his objectives and the fulfillment his promises he will become frustrated, I would.  Hopefully, he will find a way to negotiate with Congress to achieve many if not most of his objectives and bring America back to a path of vibrant economic health, a secure border, increased national security, strengthened positive relations with foreign nations who share the view of Freedom and repeal Obamacare.  I also hope he will be able to counter Mr. Obama’s massive regulatory stranglehold on business.  Those and more are on my wish list of accomplishments for the next administration.

Whether Mr. Trump is to be a one-term president will hinge on how he goes about his duties, exercises his power, achieves his agenda, and fulfills his promises.  If he has no plans to serve two-terms he will act differently than if he does and that will likely become evident in the first 12-18 months if not sooner.  I am elated that Hillary Clinton is not going to be the 45th President and believe that we have been offered a window of opportunity to return to more of a Constitutional Republican System as was the original intent.  I am supportive of Donald Trump and the new administration but would not be supportive of side-stepping the Constitution.  I want the White House, Congress, and the Courts to FOLLOW THE LAW and ADHERE TO THE CONSTITUTION.  

That, in brief, is my Hope and Concern for the coming 4 years!  I believe that with prayer and continued effort on the part of WE THE PEOPLE we can ensure a more representative Congress in 2018 to advance the Constitutional Agenda we need.

BETRAYAL OF OUR FRIENDS – Obama’s Parting Shot…

There has never been a question, in my mind, as to where the current president stands regarding Israel or his allegiance to the Islamic nations and Islam.  He claims to be a Christian but his strange way of demonstrating that leaves one wondering who or what he is truly following.  He defends a religion that has the worst human rights record and history than virtually any religion and one that is so intolerant of any other view their so-called holy book demands the slaughter of those deemed to be infidels.  That is not the case with Christianity or Judaism but according to Mr. Obama our Christian history and that of Judaism are to be decried while Islam is to be praised.  Love thy neighbor is not a tenet of Islam but is it a tenet of both the Jewish faith and the New Testament.

Mr. Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry along with their minions are claiming that the UN Resolution is a step toward peace. They claim the U.S. had nothing to do with the crafting and drafting of the resolution.  However, Egypt and Israel along with other sources reveal the fingerprints of this administration and Messrs. Obama and Kerry all over the resolution and suggest a stealthily coordinated effort to enact it.  Of course, the United States Ambassador to the UN abstained as though that somehow acquitted our nation of complicity and responsibility.  We have Veto Power and could have blocked this action but Mr. Obama’s parting shot at Israel is to endanger that nation and further unsettle the entire Middle East if not the world.  That is inconsequential to him for his thin-skinned narcissism demands that he take his last shot at a nation he clearly holds contempt for.

The United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334 will not produce peace but will likely escalate matters and place the incoming President in the position of potentially sending troops into harm’s way to defend a long-standing ally, Israel.  This is a move, which Barack Obama has desired.  He wants to roll the borders back to pre-1967 boundaries in Israel.  That would include Israel losing access to or control of East Jerusalem.  It demands that Israel immediately cease and desist in all settlements in the Palestinian occupied territory including East Jerusalem.  The UN is demanding that the boundary lines be prior to June 4, 1967, and would mean the Jewish people would no longer have access to the holiest site of their religion, the Western Wall of the Temple Mount. They would be barred from entering the Old City founded by King David over 3,000 years ago and erase from history the Israeli victory in the Six-Day War in 1967.

I find it interesting that there was no push back on Jordan when Israel warned them to stay out of the conflict in 1967.  There was no sanction, penalty, or criticism of Jordan for trashing over 50 Jewish Synagogues, and other atrocities.  This is not a call for Israel to swap “land for peace” it is a call for Israel to unilaterally give up land and rights of sovereignty.  The fact that the United States had Vetoed similar proposals suggests that the Palestinian Authority (PA) would have consulted with this administration before trying this again.  This is nothing more than an Anti-Israel action by a body (United Nations) that has repeatedly taken positions that are incredibly Anti-Semitic.  Now, the United States has joined that coalition against the only true ally we have in the region.

Can Mr. Trump and Congress correct this?  I don’t know but I do know there are some things that can be done including withholding our sizeable contribution to the United Nations.  We pay the lion’s share of their budget and, in my view, it is time to defund and evict them.  I have seen reports that our portion of the budget is about $3 BILLION or 22% of their total budget.  Our share is equal to the bottom 176 member countries and we pay as much as the four other permanent members of the Security Council combined.  France, Russia, China, and the U.K. pay a combined $2.5 BILLION to our $3 BILLION.  How did we ever allow this to happen?  The UN has condemned Israel 20-4 times more than the rest of the world.  They UN has condemned Iran, North Korea, Russia, and Syria ONE TIME EACH.  We should also withdraw from all peace talks UNTIL this resolution has been repealed and should not give the UN one red cent UNTIL that action has been taken.  Will the Trump administration accomplish that?  I do not know but I hope they give it the old college try.  Now is the time to act, since some leading Democrats have declared their opposition to Mr. Obama’s actions.  This could be and should be a bipartisan action and we need to send a message to the world that we stand by our friends and will not tolerate bullying from the UN or any other entity.

You may not believe we should defend Israel, but I do and based on my view of friendship and the value of allies as well as my faith and biblical worldview, I firmly stand on the side of defending Israel.  I believe it is in the best interest of America to do so and when our best interest is in the mix America should STAND WITH FRIENDS and PROTECT OUR INTEREST.

BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA – – His Final Days, America, and the World…

I have lived on this planet for several decades involved in Christian ministry, observing, and dealing with people of many differing and various personalities.  I have observed and participated in politics for some years and, as my brother said, “I have never seen anyone more narcissistic than Barack Obama.”  I believe him to be diabolical in many ways, and truly believe that the influence of evil in his life, stemming from his childhood indoctrination and choices subsequently have produced a psychological disorder in him that is dangerous.  I truly believe the man suffers from pathological narcissism and suffers from clinical delusions of grandeur that render him incapable of viewing reality and truth other than from his point of preference.  You may disagree and believe me to be too harsh or too easy but the past 8 years suggest I am correct and the past month indicates his parting shots at America and the world will not be gentle but aggressively destructive toward America and matters related to Israel and Christians.

He claims to be a Christian, but so do many people in this world.  No, I am not placing myself in God’s stead and sitting as his judge in this matter only that observation of the evidence and fruit of his life suggest his claim may is either insincere or misguided.  He has demonstrated a willingness and propensity to defend Islam at all costs and attack Christians, and traditional Christian values including Christianity’s history.  He distorts and inflated the contributions of Islam and diminishes the contributions of Christianity.  He sat for 20 years or more in a church that expresses hate toward Israel and toward America as founded.  His former pastor’s infamous declaration was, “Not God bless America but God d*** America.” 

His wife went on Oprah and declared that she and Barack were the parents and we were their hurting children.  I have mentioned that before, but that is so outlandish and filled with delusional visions of grandeur and narcissism it is stunning.  They have, through words and deeds, indicated they believe we are incapable of making proper decisions regarding our children, food, travel, associations, finances, and health care, among other things.  His recent attempt to put Donald Trump in his place, saying, “There is only one president at a time” is a further revelation of the thinness of his skin and his narcissism.  One would wonder, will he remember that once Mr. Trump is inaugurated on January 20, 2017?  I can answer that in a word, NOPE!  He believes that George W. Bush should remain silent and refrain from criticism of Mr. Obama’s policies but plans to take up residence in DC to ensure that Mr. Trump does not damage his so-called legacy.  He plans to be vocal and active in lobbying for his agenda, although he will no longer be president and in his own words, “There is only one president at a time!”

Mr. Obama has now declared that “Had he been allowed to run for a 3rd term he would have won.”  His declaration fails to consider the real possibility that since his policies were central in the decision of many voters to reject the Democrat candidate, he might also have been rejected.  Of course, the bloc of votes he got in 2008 and 2012 might have turned out in sufficient numbers to have gained him a victory, but they might not.  Many of that bloc have decided that what the Democrats and the policies of Barack Obama have not benefited them but have, in fact, hurt them economically.  Of course, he would, as he continues to do, fan the flames of racial discord, and sought to intensify the ‘class envy’ that is dividing America.

Mr. Obama, as has been documented as spearheading the United Nations Resolution against Israel and sought to use New Zealand and others to present the resolution that his administration prepared.  His hatred for Israel has been visible but never so pronounced as his instructions to Samantha Powers to ABSTAIN allowing the resolution to pass and placing Israel in much greater danger.  Regardless of what you believe biblically regarding Israel you surely recognize them as a valuable ally in the region and one of our only true allies.  We have taken a position that America has never taken and it, in my mind, continues to reflect Mr. Obama’s vision of himself as King of the World. 

He has crippled America through the massive increase of our National Debt, which is almost $20 TRILLION as he leaves office.  He has virtually destroyed our healthcare or health insurance industry and the fines, fees, and costs as well as the loss of coverage and doctors by millions is being felt and will be felt into perpetuity if not repealed.  His assault on the coal and fossil fuel industry is placing us in an energy pinch that is damaging our economy and mortgaging our future placing it in the hands of those governments and entities who hate us and have never had our best interest in mind.  His refusal to accept blame, accountability and responsibility for his failures reveals an inability to face reality but indicates that his worldview and view of himself is delusional.  We have had a president for 8 years who believes the Constitution is a nuisance, America is not nor has it ever been exceptional, and has demonstrated in various tours and actions that he does not love America.  He took an oath to “Protect and Defend” the Constitution of these United States and his words and deeds reflect that he has “Exposed and Assaulted” that document in ways too numerous to enumerate.

Will we fare better in 2017 and beyond?  That remains to be seen but we have endured 8 years of Extreme Narcissism where our friends no longer trust us and our enemies no longer fear or respect us.  We are a facing some potentially very dark days in America and the world and the divide in this nation has been expanded by the actions of this President and his worldview.

God help us if we do not wake up and take definitive steps to restore America, heal the wounds, and seek, as a people, the best good of the Republic.  God, bless you and God bless America is my prayer and desire!

 

DARE WE DREAM IN TWENTY-SEVENTEEN (2017)???

The increasing divide in America that has grown exponentially during the past 8 years will likely be even more pronounced after January 20, 2017, as Donald J. Trump becomes the 45th President of the United States of America.  The Leftist are intensifying their resistance and rhetoric against President-elect Trump.  They demanded that those of us on the Political Right accept Barack Obama, give him a chance, work with him, and not criticize him in any manner.  They went berserk when Donald Trump did not immediately say, during the debates that he would accept the outcome of the election.  They called it Un-American and suggested that his response was so foreign to what America is about it was reprehensible.  However, the same question was never asked Hillary Clinton and as we now know her answer would have been “I will accept the outcome ONLY if I win!” 

President Barack Obama stated almost immediately after the election that Donald Trump had won, the election was legitimate, and we should give him the opportunity and/or benefit of the doubt.  Hillary said much the same in her belated concession speech.  We have subsequently learned that as she was making that speech she had an army of lawyers looking for ways to overturn the election and oust Donald Trump.  So much for accepting the outcome, I guess.  Information has surfaced that various Soros funded and directed groups have worked with the many leftist activist groups, the DNC, and the Clinton Camp to cause unrest, intimidate, and attempt to delegitimize and even overturn the election.  Then, Jill Stein became a useful tool in the recount attempts.  It advanced their agenda, gave her more national notoriety, and lined her coffers with needed funds.  Their efforts failed and now the President is calling for the military to question Mr. Trump’s authority and orders and is advancing rhetoric that is inflammatory and divisive.  The Left are vowing to fight tooth and nail the entire term of Mr. Trump and will be more obstructionist than the Republicans could ever have been accused of being.

Dare We Dream in Twenty-Seventeen (2017)?  Are we such a divided nation that there is no hope of healing in America?  Have we crossed the line of demarcation from which there is no peaceable solution?  Have we reached the place in our society that what our personal preferences are of greater importance and value than what is best for the nation or constitutional?  Have we reached a place that we reject the other side, not based on substance but on their political identification?  Have we destroyed hope to the point that we dare not dream?  I PRAY WE HAVE NOT!

America, as founded, was to be a Limited Government as a Constitutional Republic, not a Pure Democracy where mobocracy could rule.  We were to be a Representative Government following a very clear set of laws, rules, and principles and would adamantly defend the inalienable rights of citizens which include the Right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.  That includes or demands that we have Freedom of Speech, Religion, and be afforded the right to peacefully assembly and even protest.  It also embodies the idea that we have the right to our property and self-defense of our person and property and to facilitate that Right we have the 2nd Amendment which shall not be infringed.  Our founding fathers would be livid today were they to see the Entitlement Mentality, the Government Confiscation, the Bureaucracy of Washington, the porous borders, the Tax burdens on Americans, and so much more.  They envisioned a nation in which HOPE was a daily reality and DREAMS were more than fantasies.  So, again I ask, Dare We Dream in Twenty-Seventeen (2017)?

I am a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible and therefore, I am praying for our nation that we return to the first principles that propelled America into Greatness.  I am praying for a healing of the divide among the people of various sects, groups, and ethnicities.  I am praying for a restoration of the Authority and Power of the Constitution and Rule of Law.  I am praying for America!  I personally believe that without a Spiritual Revival we will not heal but you may not hold that view.  However, I believe we can agree that a House Divided Against Itself Cannot Stand and we are a Divided House in need of a bridge to span the crevice separating us.

I am hopeful that this 2nd Chance we have been given will not be squandered and that after enduring 8 years of iron-fisted rule in enacting a leftist agenda and an incredibly weak position in world leadership we can move to rightness and strength.  May we see a return to a Government of the People, by the People, and for the People.  I refuse to give up my dream so I WILL DREAM IN TWENTY-SEVENTEEN (2017) of a Restored America who has returned to her founding principles and roots.

IGNORANCE MAY SEEM LIKE BLISS, But It Is Not…


Ignorance is Bliss Patch

We all know people, and some may be among those who declare, “What I don’t know won’t hurt me.”  I may not know there is a deadly disease in my body but being unaware will not shield me from its destructiveness.  I may not know there is a mugger waiting in the darkness near my parked vehicle but being unaware does not forewarn or enable me to fend off his attack.  I may not know the financial investment I am entering is built on fraud and deception but my ignorance of that reality will not prevent me from sustaining a loss and the expense of trying to recover my investment.  Ignorance may give me a sense of serenity allowing me to live oblivious to the lurking dangers and in that sense, provide bliss, but when the culmination of that of which I am ignorant become reality BLISS will not be what I experience.  Ignorance may seem like bliss, but believe me, it is not!

In today’s political world we are watching the implosion and consistent denial by the Democrats and Progressives and can call much of their diatribe nothing short of ignorance.  Over the past few election cycles, the Democrats have consistently lost seats in Congress losing both the House and Senate and now the White House.  Yet, rather than discovering the disconnect with reality they blissfully follow the pathway of ignorance and blame everything but themselves for their losses.  The failure of both their message and messenger in the presidential election should have sent them back to the drawing board to restructure and rethink their strategy.  However, that is not what is happening and while I don’t want to burst their bubble and diminish their bliss, they are making a tragic if not a fatal mistake.  Consider the election losses under the House leadership of Nancy Pelosi and rather than become enlightened they walk in ignorance and extended her contract by reaffirming her as the minority leader of their party.  WOW!  That makes as much sense as blaming an obscure video for Benghazi or taking a hammer to the check engine light on the dash of your car.  But, who am I to suggest that their ignorance is not providing bliss?  It most assuredly is for those of us who are aware of truth and reality.  They seem to be positioning themselves to name a bitter racist as the head of the DNC will not bode will in upcoming elections, is my view.  This man once suggested a separate nation for blacks and supports the Islamic jihad while lashing out at our most consistent ally in the middle-east, Israel.

If ignorance is bliss, then President Barack Obama should be in a state of constant euphoria because he seems to believe that we are living in the Obama-land or La-La Land.  He has expressed that he has saved the American economy, brought stability to the middle-east, provided a most loved healthcare fix in Obamacare, and his environmental policies and massive regulations are loved and supported by most Americans.  If he truly believes that, his bliss should be virtually uncontainable and he must literally be whistling while he walks in the Whitehouse.

If ignorance is bliss then the many millennials marching in the streets, being coddled in their ‘safe zones’ and told that life is supposed to be fair and equal should be filled with joy.  We have not only done them a disservice but we have endangered our American way of life and our Constitutional Republic in how we have allowed them to be indoctrinated.  They are ignorant of life and unless confronted with reality and truth would be in a constant state of blissful euphoria singing, ‘We are the world around the campfire with choruses of Kumbaya.’ 

Sadly, too many Republicans are also living in a state of ignorance and have the idea that if we will just be nice, extend an olive branch, and make a few concessions the Democrats will become bipartisan and cooperative.  What a blissful state they must be in.  Unfortunately, history warns and present reality exposes the reality that they have an agenda and will not deviate from that agenda for anything or anyone.  Their idea of bipartisanship is a total concession by the Republicans and even when they lose they drive the bus and determine policy.  If those of us who are happy that Hillary Clinton was defeated and Donald Trump won, the election live in ignorance of the incredible war that still lies ahead do not wake up our momentary bliss will be turned into tears and become a nightmare.

It has been said that “knowledge is power” and in a very real sense, that is correct.  In war ignorance, can and will likely bring about defeat.  In war, a key strategy is to know more about the enemy than he knows about us.  In business, ignorance is a recipe for failure.  In health, ignorance can be disastrous.  And, in politics ignorance will not produce lasting bliss so let’s follow the biblical directive for life and ‘study to show ourselves approved…’  I know that was speaking of ministering the Word of God but it is applicable in every area of life.  Knowledge may be power but Wisdom is knowing how to use that knowledge and right application of knowledge will open the door for success and in success comes true bliss!

A HOUSE DIVIDED AGAINST ITSELF…

I realize that many think the words, “A house divided against itself cannot stand” came from Abraham Lincoln in the Gettysburg Address but they are found in Mark 3:25, spoken by Jesus Himself.  “If a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.”  That is exactly where we are in America and the division is severe and incredibly dangerous.  The survival of the Republic as the Constitutional Republic reflecting any semblance to that Union established by our Founding Fathers.  It is severe, it is destructive and incredibly dangerous.

I believe there are Three Main Streams of Division in America today with many tributaries within those streams.  It is my conviction that many within, those streams have not truly evaluated the consequences of their rigid stance and attitude of division and separation.  Two of those three Main Streams are apparently forming a loose coalition to stop the Third Stream and if that continues the catastrophic result could well be far more devastating than most anyone envisions.  Some take their position without regard for the damage and others do so without fully grasping the import of their actions.  Sadly, it matters little whether it is intentional or unintentional the final damage will be the same.  The only difference is that those in the unintentional crowd would change if they truly saw or believed the danger and damage.  They do not see and do not believe, therefore they continue believing they are on the side of right, morality, integrity, principle, and even the Constitution.  We are dangerously near a time of chaos and destruction beyond which there is no redemption.

When the idea that there is no peaceable solution to the political problems of a nation there an atmosphere created where the diabolical wield great influence and destruction is likely.  When a people believe, there is no peaceful solution and no way to change course in their nation through peaceful means they have two choices.  They can submit and accept the fate imposed on them by the tyrannical or they can take up arms and rebel.  They may or may not succeed in their rebellion and fail to throw off the chains of the tyrants.  They may be forced into submission.  We see that in nations of the world and I am very concerned that we are dangerously close to becoming so divided in America we will fall to the tyrants and be forced into submission.  What are the Three Main Streams dividing America today?

There is Stream Number One made up of Leftist Liberal Socialist largely led by the Democratic Party.  Within that stream, there are multiple sub-streams of activist groups, ethnic groups, and political elitist groups too numerous to list.  That Stream wants to ‘fundamentally transform’ America.  They would do that by eradicating our borders and making citizenship virtually meaningless.  They would do that by redefining our Constitution and rather than considering original intent they would make it a living document interpreted according to modern mores.  They would make government all powerful and gain total control over the citizens. Political Correctness would determine what we can think and speak and seek to reprogram how we think thereby stripping us of our most fundamental inalienable rights in the process.

There is Stream Number Two made up of Fundamental Conservatives and Constitutionalist, largely Republicans, Independents, and some Libertarians.  This group wants to see the government limited and power returned to the citizens and the states rather than in the Central Bureaucracy in Washington.  This stream has largely gotten behind President-elect Donald Trump and while they do not all believe he is the knight in shining armor riding to save the day, they understand that he provides a window of opportunity and possible respite in the impending destruction now existing.  This stream wants government’s involvement in our lives and businesses restricted as per the constitution.  This stream wants a secure border, a strong national defense, and to maintain the sovereignty of the Republic.  This stream wants our inalienable rights protected not restricted.  This group wants a return to Constitutional Republican Limited Government.  That is not exhaustive but indicative of the current of this stream.

There is Stream Number Three and this is possibly the most problematic in that this Stream is made up of those who truly love America and desire most of if not all of what the Second Stream desires.  However, there is a fly in the ointment for them and that is the person of Donald J. Trump.  They cannot accept him and are willing to align themselves, at times, with the First Stream to prevent his inauguration and/or successful enactment of his proposed agenda.  The deem him so unacceptable they coalesce with those who do not truly love America as originally founded and are those who want to ‘fundamentally transform’ this nation into a Socialist Union.  Those in this Third Steam do not agree with that philosophy and but, in my view, many of them cannot see the potential damage and destruction.   They believe they are acting in the best interest of the republic in their actions driven by their abhorrence for the man.  That rigid refusal to work with the Second Stream to try to turn the tide of destruction and reverse course nationally is creating a climate of division that strips everyone in all streams of hope and that is incredibly dangerous.  None of us want to see those of the First Stream aligned against those of the Second Stream facing each other in the streets in a violent upheaval.  THAT WOULD BE CATASTROPHIC, in my view.  In that scenario, America would be the loser and nothing positive accomplished.

I know that those rigidly opposed to Mr. Trump may well take exception to what I have said and I regret that.  My purpose is not to lecture anyone on what they should or should not believe politically.  My focus is AMERICA and the state of division that I see existing nationally.  My fellow lovers of liberty and freedom if we allow this nation to reach the place where people believe that elections do not matter and there is no hope of peaceful change and resolution we are doomed to destruction.  The diabolical forces lurking behind the scenes and working diligently to steal this prize called America will swoop in like vultures and I warn they have a plan in place, a strategy to take control.  All they are waiting for is chaos to the point hope is abandoned by the masses.  I issue this warning, knowing that it will not be popular with some and maybe many but my love for America is greater than my concern whether I will be accepted or rejected.  I am unimportant, America is! 

I ask everyone regardless of what Stream you find yourself, is America not worth trying to find a peaceful resolution to our differences?  Is America not worth seizing upon the opportunity to reverse course on many of the destructive policies of the past few years?  Is America not worth have a strong national defense, a secure border, a strong economy, and preventing further incursion and intrusion of the federal government in our lives?  I believe that most of us want the America of our Founding Fathers where we can proudly declare, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”  Is that not the America we all want?  We can have it but we cannot have it so if we insist on remaining so staunchly divided we will consider no path other than our preferred on or no candidate other than our chosen one.  We will make mistakes and we will experience failures but they do not have to be fatal.

I am not asking that we all sit around the campfire and sing Que Sera, Sera or Kumbaya accepting and tolerating everything and anything. What I am asking is that we place America ahead of personal preference.  It is my view that Hillary Clinton was not just unacceptable but would have been the death knell of the Republic.  Some feel the same about Donald Trump, I do not.  We need to take advantage of any opportunity to work toward restoring American principles and values, limiting government, strengthening our national security, securing our borders, and rekindling our economy.  If we recognize where this divide is leading, we can, not only survive but thrive as the Restored Republic.  The decision must be made by each of us individually and then as a nation.  Therefore, I say, pursue what you believe but please consider the consequences and the cost to America in whatever path or stream you follow.  America can survive if we can find it within our hearts to unite around that which we have in common and refuse to allow our differences to become so volatile that we are unable or refuse to hear those of opposing views and summarily reject all views but our own.
