BLOG POST 2 - The Law

Actually, they believe they are the only true defenders of the Law and that the Law is whatever they determine it to be at the time.  They use it, abuse it, ignore it, and violate it at will and attempt to make everything that any Republican and/or Conservative does ILLEGAL.  I suppose that would include breathing since so many of them have called for violence and even elimination of those of us who are not Democrats.

James Comey, the former Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, knew and knows the Law and he knew and knows that he violated the very Law he swore to defend in leaking his memos and documents to his friend.  His friend who he knew would ensure that the Press got the Memo and designed to secure the appointment of a Special Prosecutor or Investigator into President Donald J. Trump.  Even if his memos contained ZERO Classified information it was incredibly unethical and cowardly to LEAK IT.  He then went before Congress and Lied under Oath about the contents of those memos claiming they contained ZERO CLASSIFIED INFORMATION.  We now know that was inaccurate and there is no possible way Mr. Comey, a lawyer and the former Director of the FBI did not know that at the time of his testimony.  He had a mission and an agenda and just as he protected Hillary Clinton he is seeking to destroy Donald Trump.

The information now available is that 4 of the 7 memos he removed from the FBI headquarters contained CLASSIFIED INFORMATION.  He broke the same Law that he absolved Hillary Clinton of violating.  He knowingly and with malice and forethought created classified government documents and then leaked them to get them into the hands of the Press for political purposes.  That means he is in violation of the Federal Espionage Act and guilty of Perjury before Congress.  Those are not minor misdemeanors they are incredibly serious felonies, but I see no effort by Congress to take him to task over those violations.  The Democrats certainly will not.  The MSM will do nothing but defend him and do everything to harm President Trump and anyone associated with him.

James Comey testified before Congress, under oath, that the memos he created were his own papers and contained no classified information.  The question is, “Will Special Counsel Muller actually go after Comey on those counts?”  The answer is “When Pigs Fly.”  No, he will not go after his buddy and fellow Democratic Trump hater even when the preponderance of evidence is as great as it is.  Real evidence, not innuendo like is being used in the Trump investigations.  Congress could charge Mr. Comey with Contempt and refer the case directly to a Grand Jury and bypass Mr. Muller but I seriously doubt they have the courage or willingness to do that.  Mr. Comey testified before Congress as to his INTENT and that was to damage the President.  My plea to every America who cares about Law and Order and wants to see Justice served is to CALL YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS and DEMAND this be done with regard to Mr. Comey.  It is high time that we stop allowing the Leftist to violate the law for political purposes or any purpose and hold EVERYONE ACCOUNTABLE.  By everyone, I mean EVERYONE, both Republican and Democrat. 

We have no reason to believe that Robert Muller, a close associate, and friend of Mr. Comey will do anything other than attempt to advance Mr. Comey’s desires and protect his “bird of a feather.”  With the list of attorney’s and people, Mr. Muller has been hiring to investigate President Trump one would think this was a DNC organized investigation, not an Independent Counsel.  The team he has amassed are devoted liberal Democrats and extreme Anti-Trump individuals some of whom are directly connected to Hillary Clinton or the Clinton Foundation.  It appears that the Law is the Law only if you are not a Democrat in Power.  When people (Clinton associates) can take a hammer to destroy Blackberry phones attempting to prevent investigators from being able to retrieve data and nothing is done, we clearly see that The Law is the Law only if you are not a Democrat.  If you are, however, it is whatever you want it to be or as Mr. Comey said regarding Hillary Clinton’s usage of a Private Server and other violations of the Law, “She did not intend to do harm.”  Seriously?  If I drive 90 while in a 55 MPH zone can I tell the officer I didn’t mean to do any harm and be let go with a slap on the wrist?  You know the answer to that.  If a criminal holds up a store at gunpoint and then shoots someone can he tell the arresting officer that he didn’t mean to do any harm and be set free?  I would hope not.  How is it that when the President, acting within the guidelines of the Constitution fires the FBI Director he is suddenly guilty of Obstruction of Justice but when Loretta Lynch can meet with Bill Clinton while Hillary was under investigation and that is not?  The Law is beneficial and has power, ONLY if it is uniformly enforced without regard of person, position, or status.

We are a Republic that has a Constitution and that Constitution establishes the basis of our Law and that Constitution and Law MUST be uniformly applied.  When we allow the special consideration for political purposes to be the norm we relegate our Constitution and the Law to a meaningless state and press the Republic nearer and nearer to extinction.  It is said that “Justice is Blind” meaning that Justice regards no man but equally applies the Law and Facts to every case.  IF only that were a reality today, especially in Politics we would resolve many of our societal ills in America.

I am praying for America to wake up and return to Constitutionality and a place and time when The Law is equally and rightly applied to all citizens.   May God, bless you and may He bless America Again!

BLOG POST 1 - Promises

That song has been popping into my head recently when I hear the arguments of some of the GOP as to why they will not REPEAL Obamacare.  I have replaced the words with “Where Have All the Republicans Gone???”   We gave you the House and you have squandered that power and open door.  We gave you the Senate also and you chose to sit on your hands and lament that the Democrat in the White House would not sign your legislation.  We gave you the White House and now you break ranks and show your true colors and do things to derail any attempts to REPEAL this monstrosity.  Some of you argue from points that are illogical that you will ONLY vote to REPEAL if you get everything you want in REPLACEMENT.  Hey, if you are going to build a new house on the site of an existing house you must first tear down the old house.  What a novel idea?

Peter, Paul & Mary sang Pete Seeger’s song in protest to the Vietnam war and I am protesting the lack of intestinal fortitude and the failure to demonstrate any cohesiveness among the Republicans, Conservatives, and those claiming to be Constitutionalist.  You made a Promise and now we expect you to fulfill that Promise.  DO WHAT YOU SAID YOU WOULD DO and remove that millstone called Obamacare from around the necks of the America people.  Deal in real numbers and address the real issues of healthcare and health insurance rather than parroting the Leftist rhetoric and talking points.  Bring the Free Market back into the equation and allow genuine competition to produce the product that is desired at a price that is affordable.  Allow for true portability and do not draw imaginary lines that prevent people from seeking out the best coverage across state lines and outside your protected boxes which create monopolies.

President Trump has nominated almost 150 people to fill important federal positions and you have managed to get less than 50 approved.  WHERE HAVE YOU GONE?  You have the votes if you were truly unified and could begin the process of draining the swamp but some of you seem to like the swamp too much to see it drained.  You could address Tax Reform and give genuine tax breaks and cuts to businesses and individuals that would stimulate the economy in a powerful manner.  You could, but unless you get your piece of the pie and your slab of pork you seem to be unwilling to do what WE THE PEOPLE voted to achieve.  WHERE HAVE YOU GONE? 

The Democrats vote in a unified bloc but the Republicans are often so fragmented they can get nothing done even when they have control of both Houses of Congress and the White House.  The Democrats lost the election and are in the minority but with what is happening in Congress, for the most part, one would think they won and are in control.  WHERE HAVE ALL THE REPUBLICANS GONE???  The Democrats may not all agree 100% on any piece of legislation but if it is a bill from the Left it gets almost 100% of the Democrat votes every time.  They coalesce around their Party and even though they have no real message other than hate and obstruction they are unified in a way the Republicans never seem to be.  Please understand, I applaud people having a mind of their own and standing against their party if something is bad for America but many of the things they cannot agree on have ample room for compromise.  There is enough common ground to advance the agenda that the 2016 Campaign Promised the American people.

REPUBLICANS, if you continue this path to destruction you will so anger the voters that they either stay home or vote NO on you in future elections.  If the voters become so angry they allow the Democrats to return to power America will suffer enormously, so WAKE UP and DO YOUR JOB.  I’m tired of asking “Where Have All the Republicans Gone?”  My advice is “GET ‘ER DONE.”  We voted for you either by voting for you or voting against the Democrat so we expect you to keep your promises.  Instead of fighting among yourselves realize that those in the opposition party do not have America’s best interest at heart and it is imperative that you find ways to unify and advance the agenda promised.

I am concerned for America, disgusted with politicians, but hopeful that the American people will find a way to apply enough pressure to those Washington denizens they will begin to do what they promised to do!  I hope that my hope is not ‘pie in the sky’ but a real possibility in the near future.

FRUSTRATED, ANGRY, ALARMED but MORE DETERMINED THAN EVER…


BLOG POST 1 - aNGER

I am all the above regarding the state of POLITICS in America today!  The MSM, for the most part, is in bed with the Liberal Leftists Democrats and offer no semblance of news, truth, facts, or honesty.  They have an agenda and that agenda is to STOP TRUMP and then to STOP or IMPEDE anything and everything the Republicans, Conservatives, and Constitutionalist try to advance or accomplish.  We know that, so that alone is not what is causing my angst, it is anticipated if not expected.  The Democrats, Liberals, Progressives, and Socialist Activist are in the same mode and although they have gone far beyond what I anticipated, they are on an ideological mission to DESTROY.  Even coupled with the MSM the Democrats are not what is causing my severe case of angst.  There is more hate being spewed in the public arena today that I have witnessed in my numerous decades on the planet and although I am alarmed and disturbed by what is happening I am fully convinced that could be overcome, so that is not the root of my angst.

Why am I FRUSTRATED, ANGRY, and ALARMED?  Why am I more DETERMINED than ever to press through to full and complete victory in America?  The reasons are many but let me offer something that may help explain my sentiments and hopefully will encourage you to either become or stay involved in the process and reject the temptation to throw in the towel and concede even in victory.  The primary root of my angst is REPUBLICANS in Washington.  Do I mean every Republican is deserving of this FRUSTRATION, ANGER, and ALARM?  No, some of them are fighting devotedly for what they promised the American voters in November and in previous elections.  However, the Establishment Republican Hierarchy is anything but on board with the Promises to the People made in the 2016 Campaigns and Election.  Those Republicans who are part of the RESISTANCE are the focus of my frustration and I am on a mission to see them evicted from their perches in the next election cycle in which they are up for a vote.

The Republicans holding the line for keeping Senate Procedures that allow the Democrats to filibuster, block, stall, and derail much, if not most, of the Trump agenda and the Republican Promises, appointees, and refuse to ACT definitively and positively for America and Americans are the problem.  If any of those Republicans truly believe that were the situation reversed the Democrats would allow anything to block their agenda, they are delusional.  Once, Harry Reid exercised the NUCLEAR OPTION and forced Obamacare and other things down our throats the gate was opened to never be closed again.  Republicans asked for the House and we gave it to them.  They asked for the Senate and we gave it to them.  They asked for the White House and we gave it to them.  If they fail to act now and allow the losing party that is in the minority to control the agenda, determine the outcome of legislation and appointments they deserve to be ousted at the earliest possible opportunity.

The MSM, Democrats, and even Republicans are failing to identify the accomplishments of President Trump and his team.  People like Lindsey Graham and John McCain seem to be determined to discredit him at every opportunity and allow the Democrats to derail that which the American people voted for.  Why?  Only they or God could fully answer that but they have demonstrated the truth that they are not Republican or Conservative in the politics but Establishment and defenders of the ole boy system of Capitol Hill Cronyism.  They participate in the Russian Investigation but have no stomach for targeting the many things that Hillary Clinton, Valarie Jarret, Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder, Jon Podesta, Susan Rice, and Barack Obama should be investigated for.  The Democrats colluded with the Ukrainian Government to influence the election and that is a “non-starter” for them but if there is even the slightest connection of Trump or anyone connected to him dealing with a foreign entity, that is TREASON, in their minds.

Republicans in Washington, this American, Vietnam Veteran, Patriot, and Voter is decreeing that I am on a mission to send you home IF…  If what?  If you fail to do what you promised to do and have the power to do.  You can secure the border.  You can repeal and even replace Obamacare.  You can deal with Tax Reform.  You can strengthen our National Security.  You can deal with Islamic Terrorism.  You can lift the many stifling regulations that the Obama administration placed on businesses both small and large that have crippled our economy.  You can approve the many appointees needed in the various places in the federal government.  You can address the waste, spending, and corruption that exists on Capitol Hill.  YOU CAN and if you fail to do so, I want to see you gone and will do whatever I can to expose your true colors and attempt to rally support for your ouster in your next election.

I am FRUSTRATED, ANGRY, and ALARMED but I am incredibly HOPEFUL and DETERMINED to continue the Fight for Freedom and a Restored Republic.  I am encouraged that we have been granted a small window of opportunity to RETURN and am the many who express their willingness to join me and those like me in PRAYER and INVOLVEMENT to FIGHT FOR AMERICA!

AMERICA – Have We Opened Pandora’s Box?


BLOG POST 2 - Pandora

I had a friend chide me recently over my concern over the conditions in American Politics and Society.  He said, “People are basically good and we will survive this so don’t be overly concerned with the current direction things will get better.”  I have a problem with several parts of his hypothesis and the first being that people are ‘basically good’.  I do not find that consistent with my understanding of Scripture or my experience in 45-plus years dealing with people on a spiritual level.  Jeremiah warned in Jeremiah 17:9 that the heart of man was ‘deceitful and desperately wicked.’ 

I genuinely wish I could see a world that is getting better but I see a vastly different world as I attempt to honestly review this present world in America and around the globe.  Paul warned Timothy and those who would hear in 2 Timothy 3:1 that ‘perilous times’ were coming and as I study Scripture and view the direction of our world, nation, and society, as a whole, I see TROUBLE, not PEACE coming to our world.

The gradual and now not so gradual erosion of our Constitutional Rights and Liberties, as well as the wearing away the moral moorings nudging our world toward chaos, anarchy, and war, does not encourage.  China’s Sun Tzu once said, “If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the results of a hundred battles.”  Former Defense Intelligence Agency Directory Lt. General Michael Flynn warned us that ISIS and other factions of Islam identified as ‘radical’ had doubled in size during this administration.  Yet our former president continually lectured America and the world that we dare not condemn radical Islam because of the Crusades.  He also argued that ISIS, Al Qaeda, and other factions are not Islam therefore not truly Muslim and to connect them to Islam is to suffer from Islamophobia.  General Flynn said accurately, “We need a much broader strategy that recognizes that we’re fighting not just this tactical problem of ISIS in Iraq and Syria… but we’re facing a growing and expanding threat around the world in some case.  You can’t defeat an enemy that you don’t admit exists.”  That is absolutely true!

To deny the real problem is to place ourselves in a position to be overcome and overrun eventually.  We are facing enemies who do not play by the rules, do not care about our political rhetoric and only want to defeat and destroy everything and anything not in harmony with their views.  The refusal to recognize, identify and define the enemy we are facing is to guarantee inability to defeat that enemy and could ultimately mean our subjection to them.  I find that UNACCEPTABLE!  Rather than carefully and soberly addressing our real threats we have a Democrat Party and the MSM on a 24/7/365 assault on Donald J. Trump and desirous to “take him down” or “take him out” at all costs.

The issue of same-sex marriage goes far beyond the ideological view of legitimatizing marriage for that group of individuals.  I realize that some in Christendom disagree as to what the Bible teaches regarding that lifestyle and others reject the biblical stance totally.  If we consider the problems the SCOTUS ruling presents we can see issues that are incredibly far reaching.  The homosexual community and supporters have argued that marriage is a right and that opens the door to polygamy and even incestuous marriages and Justice Roberts’ dissent gave a warning that is likely prophetic.  We already see lawsuits being levied advancing the idea of the right to polygamy and other issues of marriage.  Maybe one could marry themselves and then claim an additional dependent on their taxes.

I read recently that a known pedophile threatened to sue using the argument from the homosexual community that young children should be encouraged to express their sexual orientation and participate in Gay Pride Parades, etc.  The pedophile argued that children should be allowed and encouraged in the same manner regarding pornography and sexual activity.  Have we created an undefeatable monster with today’s Progressive, Liberal, and Leftist Politically Correct World?  Have we opened Pandora’s Box and rendered America so depraved that there is no societal morality any longer?

In allowing vocal groups that are a small minority in society control the dialogue and determine what is allowable we are inviting sure and certain destruction.  When we allow ourselves to become virtual slaves of Political Correctness we edge nearer and neared the abyss of destruction.  We have an enemy and that enemy is, too often, us if we allow our nation to ignore right, call good evil and evil good, evict God from our political, economic and interpersonal lives we sign our own death warrant.

Politics cannot be ignored or eliminated from our lives and Christian or not if a safe world that your children and grandchildren can grow up and live in and maintain the Free Constitutional Republic is important to you ELECTIONS and POLITICS MATTER.  It is more than just getting your candidate nominated it is DEFEATING EVIL.  You cannot defeat evil by refusing to participate in the fight against it.  You cannot defeat evil by withdrawing when you don’t get your way.  You defeat evil with good and UNLESS we come together and fight.  A few of us in the fight will not win the war!

CAN’T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG???


BLOG POST 1 - Get Along

The infamous words uttered by Rodney King some years ago are still echoed today.  My simple answer is, NO!  No, we cannot all just get along when the requirement is that we all AGREE.  Total agreement is a human impossibility today because people are incredibly passionate about their ideologies, agendas, and rights or perceived rights and entitlements.  No, we cannot just all get along when the requirement is that we ACCEPT activist agendas and denounce everything we believe and hold dear constitutionally, biblically, socially or morally.  No, we cannot all just get along when one side or the other wants to infringe upon the unalienable rights of another in the pursuit of their actual or perceived rights.

Yes, we can all get along having civil discourse about issues if both sides are willing to allow the other to voice their opinions and agree to disagree on some points.  Yes, we can all get along if we reject the race-baiting diatribe of those who seek to divide our nation and people.  Yes, we can all get along if we agree to honor the Constitution of these United States of America and defend the rights of others even when we find that right objectionable to our personal views.

I believe in FREE SPEECH as presented and recognized in the Constitution, therefore, I am willing to defend your right to speak your mind.  I do not have to agree and will not accept censorship of one side in favor of the other.  I believe in FREEDOM OF RELIGION as presented and recognized in the Constitution, therefore, I am willing to defend your right to peaceably practice your religion.  I do not support any religion attempting to coerce another into compliance with their views or faith.  I am a Christian and believe that Jesus is the Door to Salvation, you may not and I respect your right to believe what you believe not your right to silence me while proclaiming your beliefs.  I believe in the RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS and respect your right to believe all guns are bad not your attempt to strip me of my rights.  When you attempt to take away my inalienable and Constitutional rights getting along becomes incredibly difficult if not impossible for I will resist.

The Bill of Rights provided some incredibly needed protection for the American citizens from the overreaching of government and imposition of activist group’s ideologies.  We are afforded protection of private property, from unreasonable search and seizure, extended rights when accused of a crime, legal pathways in a civil case, and the 10th Amendment to protect the States from the overpowering of an imposition by the federal government.  If you accept those principles laid down by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, we can all get along but if you seek to interpret in such a manner as to impose your will on those who hold differing views getting along will be virtually impossible.

I believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman, you may disagree.  If you choose to marry someone of the same sex or multiple people, that is something you will have to reconcile with God.  I can accept your right to make wrong choices AS LONG AS you do not try to force me to participate in violation to my religious, personal or moral convictions.  Marriage is not a constitutional right and was established long before there was a United States of America Constitution.

I believe that all men are created equal and have the right to LIFE, LIBERTY, and PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.  Political correctness will not correct our societal ills.  Policing thought and even speech will not resolve ideological differences, erase bigotry, hatred or prejudice.  Rewriting history to fit our narrative and agenda will not change history only the view of it skewed to meet our desires.  A free society has room for disagreement and even passionate disagreement but when mandating agreement by force surfaces GETTING ALONG heads for the door.

People on both sides of modern political issues feel so strongly they are willing to die for their beliefs and UNLESS we reach a place where we once again allow the constitution to be the law of the land without politicizing it we will not all just get along.  If we continue the course, we are on there are coming much darker days in America.  It is my observation that when anyone is pushed beyond their limit they push back and usually with more force than they were pushed.  I do not want to see an internal war in America.  I want us to return to being the Constitutional Republic where all citizens are free.

BLOG POST 3 - utopia

For eight years, we watched the systematic and consistent assault on the United States Constitution by Barack Obama and his cohorts in the Democrat Party and it should have disturbed and angered everyone.  In the very beginning of Obama’s reign (his view regarding his term in office) he and his wife have trashed America, talked down American Excellence and consistently apologized for what they apparently view an evil empire called the United States of America.  That should cause one to believe that he wants to completely destroy this nation but is that his objective?

I believe that he and many of his fellow leftist fully believe the rhetoric and narcissistic views he and they express.  Barack Obama seemed to believe that he was the savior of the planet and commissioned by all that is divine to right the perceived wrongs of this nation from its inception.  He was so filled with distaste for America and most of the West it could not be hidden.  However, I believe that his objective and the leftist was not the TOTAL DESTRUCTION of America but, as he promised, the “fundamental transformation” of the nation.  The only question is “transformed” into what?

The Leftist, including the former president, like most communist and socialist before they taste the power of rule believe the propaganda of a utopian world in which all is equal and everyone shares and shares alike.  The problem is those in charge do not want to share, do not believe they are required to share and therefore live as royal potentates while their subjects live in abject squalor.  There is no remorse or twinge of conscience over that disparity for they believe that it is through their superior intellect, morality and knowledge of what is right and best they have earned respect and worship of we lesser mortals and it is their divine right to reap the benefits at our expense.

BLOG POST 3 - Guard

Mr. Obama and the Leftist seem to believe that the United States is and has been an arrogant nation needing to be taken down a peg or two and they are diligently working to accomplish that.  They believe that ‘redistribution of wealth’ will create equality and provide a certain reparation for the gross evil of those who risked, earned, developed, created and grew businesses and wealth.  In short, they view capitalism as the evil enemy and a target to be destroyed.  They fully believe that government is god and that only government can create wealth, jobs, a stable economy, and a utopia and therefore anyone who is conservative or a constitutionalist is a mortal enemy and must be destroyed without remedy.  For them, defeating constitutional conservatism at the polls is not enough. They desire that the individuals and organizations so identified must be eviscerated, annihilated and completely eradicated from existence or forced into submission.

They see in the demise of the Republic as it was created a new Phoenix rising from the ashes and a New American Utopia established in its stead.  They seem to truly believe that America was founded by evil, selfish, hate-filled white men.  The amazing thing is some of them have amassed fortunes from the very system they seek to destroy and are white but still, they advance that agenda religiously.  (It is a religion).  They work in conjunction with the A.C.L.U., Moveon.org, and the Center for American Progress, Media Matters, and other leftist organizations.  They also join with Islamic groups such as CAIR and seek to use America’s freedoms as weapons against this great nation.

BLOG POST 3 - New And Improved

Although I believe that Barack Obama and his followers want to solidify and create a Democrat Party that is so overpowering it is undefeatable I do not believe he cares as much about the party as his legacy and place in history and his ascension to Grand Potentate of the Universe.  I believe that the former president demonstrated that he is naïve, narcissistic, ideological and delusional?  I believe that his efforts harmed America?  I believe that had Hillary Clinton been elected the agenda began by Barack Obama would have been advanced to the point of no return?  I am thankful she lost!

The grand tragedy is that there are millions who do not believe the truth that the objective of the Obama Liberals was to REMAKE America and millions agree with the expressed antipathy for America.  If you listen you will hear the voices like Jeremiah Wright ‘condemning’ America and becoming almost giddy when she suffers at the hands of those who want to destroy us.

I am convinced that we have been given a brief reprieve from the destruction and afforded a small window of opportunity to restore America to her constitutional status.  The issues before us are about far more than the White House or which party controls Congress it is about the Constitution, the Republic, and Freedom.  If we do not hold firm and in 2018 & 2020 evict those who refuse to stand firm constitutionally and elect people with patriotic courage, integrity and dogged determination to see America restored we will have lost or severely done harm to the Republic.  God can deliver us if we fall on our faces repenting and praying.  If we sit on our hands in our ivory towers and continue to declare that Christians cannot be involved, we will lose… No, we will have lost. 

America the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave once a reality is in danger of becoming a memory.  What say you?  Will you stand for America and do what must be done to see her restored?

BLOG POST 2 - Dialogue

The Framers, as they are called, elected to hold their deliberations in secret free from the prying eyes of the press or anyone on the outside of the Constitutional Convention.  Their expressed reason from doing so was to enable each delegate to freely speak from the heart and convey, argue, contend, or propose those ideas and sentiments they held as core convictions regarding they type scope, and style of the American government.  Our fledgling nation operated under the Articles of Confederation in the ensuing years after the end of the Revolutionary War and our victory.  Those Articles rendered the Federal Government so impotent that each state did whatever it wanted with no regard for the whole and there was genuine concern that the new nation would not evolve into a Republic but would implode and become prey to more powerful and organized nations.  Each of the thirteen states operated as a virtually independent country and some contributed to the support of the national government, some didn’t, and none paid their fully assigned share.  It became increasingly evident that something had to be done to preserve the Union and the independence recently won and yet protect the rights of the individuals and states.  This was a major undertaking and the outcome still amazes me when I consider what I know of the sentiments of that era and as I view the politics of today.  I contend that we would never achieve what they achieved under today’s method of operation and political division, although I affirm that we need to do something.  We need to return to their objective, LIMITED GOVERNMENT but strong enough to provide for the common defense and hold the union together forming a Strong Union and Republic.

The fifty-five delegates from the thirteen states that gathered on May 25, 1787, Philadelphia’s Independence Hall found their task not without difficulty and almost failed on numerous occasions.  Fifty-five people represented numerous ideological and political positions and most who held those positions were firmly entrenched in their beliefs.  George Washington was unanimously elected as the president of the convention and from all accounts, his integrity and honesty brought significant balance to the convention and kept it from jumping the rails and ending in chaos and confusion.  Most of the delegates were in their thirties and forties and well educated.  Their ranks included lawyers, bankers, merchants, and farmers with Benjamin Franklin being the oldest at eighty-one.  Thomas Jefferson and John Adams were absent due to serving as ambassadors in Europe.  John Jay, Samuel Adams, John Hancock were also absent and Patrick Henry refused to attend believing that he “smelled a rat” and the convention would ultimately jeopardize the rights of states and individuals.  James Madison was only twenty-six years of age and fortunately years earlier Thomas Jefferson had sent him crates of books on various forms of governments and he studied them diligently.  He became known as the “Father of the Constitution” and was a key advocate of the “Bill of Rights.” 

For four months, the delegates labored to hammer out a compromise that established an amazing system of government that was flexible enough to withstand more than two centuries of change.  There were many issues that divided the delegates including slavery, popular voice of the people, and states’ rights.  Benjamin Franklin, sensing the danger of the entire convention falling apart make his infamous appeal based on Psalm 127:1.  I will give a portion of his plea: “I have lived, sir, a long time, and the longer I live, the more convincing proofs I see of this truth, that God governs in the affairs of men. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without His notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid?  We have been assured, Sir, in the Sacred Writings, that ‘except the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain that build it.’  I firmly believe this, and I also believe that without His concurring aid we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel: We shall be divided by our partial local interests; our projects will be confounded, and we ourselves shall become a reproach and bye word down to future ages.  And what is worse, mankind may hereafter from this unfortunate instance, despair of establishing governments by human wisdom and leave it to chance, war, and conquest.  I, therefore, beg leave to move that henceforth prayers imploring the assistance of Heaven, and its blessings on our deliberations, be held in this assembly every morning before we proceed to business and that one or more of the clergy of the city be requested to officiate in that service.”  That is an awesome recognition of the Hand and Providence of God in Government and in Life.

There have been and could be entire volumes written on the deliberations and the subsequent government that was reached in their wisdom and the guidance of the divine.  Even after they arrived at a final draft of the Constitution there were those who resisted because it did not clearly protect people’s basic civil rights, such as freedom of religion, speech, and press.  Samuel Adams and John Hancock agreed to support the constitution only after these three liberties were included in a compromise on February 6th.   Patrick Henry, George Mason, and later Richard Henry Lee led the fight for the inclusion of a “Bill of Rights”.  Many of the Framers believed those were included in the State Constitutions but those pressing for this action won the debate and thankfully we have the “Bill of Rights” included in our Constitution.

James Madison declared regarding the type of government they sought in the Constitution and Bill of Rights, “The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined.  Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite.”  That was then and this is now according to the Progressives, Liberals, and politicians that sentiment and document are inadequate and antiquated.  The Framers and Founders desired, designed, and presented a system of government that was LIMITED on the federal level and provided safeguards to prevent a Tyrannical Federal bureaucracy.  We have allowed politicians and pundits to erode those safeguards and the federal government designed to be LIMITED has become a behemoth that believes it is ALL POWERFUL and rather than being a government where the ultimate power is in the hands of the citizens it has become a government where ultimate power is in Washington and little or none vested in the citizens.  THAT MUST CHANGE!

SHOULD WE BE CONCERNED AS CONSERVATIVES???


BLOG POST 7 - Cause for Concern

No, this is not a Never Trump article nor am I blindly waving the pompoms.  However, I am concerned that some, if not many, of the campaign promises will fall by the wayside because of the lack of intestinal fortitude, conservatism, and resolve by the Republicans in Congress.  I’m not just talking about those easily identified as RINOs but some who are frequently identified as conservatives.  Why the lack of will to address some of the issues that the voters wanted to be addressed?  There is no easy answer but one answer is they are part of the “Elitist Professional Ruling Class Political Establishment.”  That is a mouthful but I believe explains the lion’s share of WHY’s.

Let’s take the Fake News Rhetoric and spin of the Democrats, Progressives, and Establishment types in Washington regarding Obamacare as a starting point.  We are constantly being told that if Congress truly repeals Obamacare over 22-23 Million will lose their health insurance coverage and many will die.  The hysteria is to fan the flames of distrust and accuse all Republicans and any who support the public’s expressed desire to repeal Obamacare as evil, bigoted, racist haters of the elderly, women, and children.  The purpose of that is not to truly address a genuine concern but to solicit votes in the next election to advance their partisan political agenda.  It is about political control and power not about healthcare or any genuine concern about people’s health.  You may disagree but that is what I see from where I sit or stand.

There was a time we thought ‘rag magazines’ such as the National Enquirer, TMZ, and other gossip here-say sources were totally unreliable sources of information. Today it seems that many times they have become a more reliable source of news than the New York Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, L.A. Times or most of the news mediums of today.  That is a sad indictment and when you toss in CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC, and much on the internet you have a situation where people are, at best, confused, and at worst, deceived and blinded to the truth.

If it were just the news outlets suffering from this condition of ‘faux truth’ it would be bad enough but when government agencies take the same road it places Americans in an impossible situation where they cannot trust the news mediums nor their government.  When you cannot trust anyone that is a condition that can only lead to disaster, chaos, and ruin and it appears that is where we are today in America.  The Congressional Budget Office describes itself as, “Strictly nonpartisan” and claims that it conducts objective, impartial analysis hiring employees strictly and solely on their professional competence with no regard to their political affiliation.  If you believe that, I have some pristine Pacific Ocean Front Property here in North Texas that I’d like to sell you.  Their analysis of the AHCA presented by the Republicans sounded more like it was written by the Clinton Campaign, the Obama Administration or the DNC than a ‘non-partisan’ agency.

The result is the Senate, called the ‘greatest deliberative body in the world,’ will most likely twiddle their thumbs, sit on their hands, dilly, and dally around the issue and DO NOTHING.  Politicians, for the most part, seem to believe that keeping campaign promises is for chumps and losers, not professionals.  The fact that President Trump has tried to keep his promises has earned him the moniker of “novice” as one of the kinder labels.  As, Speaker Ryan said, “He’s new at this and doesn’t understand.”  The image presented by the Speaker was that Trump was incompetent and the professionals would have to carry the load and keep everything business as usual.  With friends like Speaker Ryan, Mr. Trump needs no enemies.  The Senate has no stomach to deal with illegal immigration, the border, tax cuts, and a myriad of other issues that could and should have been addressed years ago.  WHY?  Because they are members of the “Elitist Professional Ruling Class Political Establishment.”  Business, as usual, is their objective while solidifying their Position, Power, and Purse at our expense and to the detriment of the Constitution.

The CBO claimed that 22-23 Million would lose their health insurance under the ACHA by 2026. That’s all the RINO’s and Democrats needed to hear to send them into full hysteria and dig their heels in the dirt resisting any repeal or replacement.  The CBO did not address the disaster that is now existing with Obamacare and no one seems to be talking about the part of their analysis that declared a $120 BILLION savings over that same 10-year period.  Heaven forbid that we should talk about any positives of the ACHA, after all, to do so would suggest that the Democrat agenda and the policies of the past 8 years were not the best things since sliced bread.  Did you know that the Kaiser Family Foundation released a finding that 49% of Americans are covered by employer-based insurance, which covers preexisting conditions?  That is also true for 20% who are on Medicaid and 14% on Medicare.  That leaves only 16% on individual plans (Obamacare) or uninsured.  The uninsured constitute approximately 9% and preexisting conditions are moot because they don’t have insurance now!  The faux news does not tell the 7% that are on Obamacare plans that the ACHA requires coverage for preexisting conditions.  Therefore, tell me how 23 Million will lose their coverage and how repealing Obamacare will kill people? 

The issue virtually nobody is focusing on is True Portability of Insurance coverage and the fact that because you have coverage for a condition it does not mean that the doctors and hospitals offering that care are in your network.  One report I have seen is that about 500,000, not 23 Million are in danger of losing coverage and those could easily be included in Medicaid. Isn’t it a wiser option to deal with this small segment than destroying the entire system as does Obamacare?  Obamacare has resulted in people losing the plans they were happy with, being unable to afford coverage due to rising costs, and other issues.  It is a disaster and the Fake News and Professional Politicians are helping to destroy the greatest healthcare system in the world.  Is there cause for Conservatives to be concerned?  YOU CAN BET YOUR BOTTOM DOLLAR THERE IS!   This is one of the many reasons I would like to see “pink slips” handed to many incumbents in the 2018 and 2020 elections.  It is time to break out the brooms and clean house in Washington.

BLOG POST 11 - Deep

This may earn me the left-foot of fellowship from some but I address this with a desire to encourage everyone to seek common ground and find healing in America.  I will refrain from calling them any of the names that many on the Right feel justified in calling the Leftist and their hateful vitriol.  I did so with one hope in my heart, to find some way to tone down the hate and violence.  I did say, “The Black Soul” and I don’t know how to avoid that assertion or allegation based on the things said and done by Leftist over the past few months.  I’m sure that there were those on the Right who wished similar things for Barack Obama but I did not hear them.  Today, I hear them virtually every day and rather than the Media, Democrats, RINOs, and Hollywood elitist being outraged over the terribleness of their rants, they smile, wink, and often endorse or justify them.

America has more than a political problem.  America has a deep spiritual and moral problem and the depth runs so deep I’m not sure we can bridge the chasm and heal the wounds.  I pray that we can and know that nothing short of a mighty move of the Spirit of God transforming hearts we will not see the desired healing.  There have been calls for God to kill Donald Trump, prayers that he would die, and abhorrent wishes on his family and by association all conservatives and Republicans.  That is troubling!

When a Pulitzer Prize winner who writes to our children openly expresses his daily wish that President Trump would suffer a massive stroke and be carried out of the White House on a gurney and little is said about, the blackness of the soul surfaces.  Michal Chabon while on Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation radio, he asked the host Goes Pinto to help get rid of Trump.  His tweet is as follows: “Every morning I wake up and hope that this is the day trump is going to have a massive stroke.”  I would have difficulty allowing any child or grandchild of mine read anything he has or writes in the future.  That kind of hatred has no place in any society and reflects a serious soul condition from which many seem to be suffering.

We are aware of Kathy Griffin’s attempt at humor if it was humor she was attempting. Humor that descends into such darkness as holding a bloody fake bloody head of the president is dangerous and disgusting.  I’m sure she felt safe among her liberal friends and felt that everyone would give her a pass.  She did not get one and no one else should.  Jim Carrey attempted to defend Griffin’s stunt and he has demonstrated some incredible darkness at times as well.  Madonna joined the anti-Trump Women’s March on Washington in January and threatened to blow up the White House.  She even called for revolution.  We must not omit Snoop Dogg and his video in which he pulls out a gun and executes a fake Donald Trump.  Then little doggie Bow Wow didn’t want to be left out so he went after the First Lady, suggesting pimping her making her a prostitute for them.  The Arts were not to be left out for in Shakespeare in the Park and the dressed-up Julius Caesar as Donald Trump and murdered him.  Rosie O’Donnell wanted to have Barack Obama declare martial law and delay the inauguration until Trump was cleared of all charges.  Of course, the Democrats would never clear him of anything so we would have had another four years of Barack Obama.  How about Sarah Silverman who called for the military to join the left and overthrow the government.  Charlie Sheen has openly desired the death of President Trump and tweeted after the death of Carrie Fisher and her mother Debbie Reynolds saying: “Dear God; Trump next, please! Trump next, please! Trump next, please! Trump next, please! Etc.”  Of course, Robert De Niro never ceases his rants against Trump.  Then the not funny Stephen Colbert used vile language regarding the President including sexual abuse of him by Vladimir Putin.  Larry Wilmore, before he was let go from Comedy Central, fantasized about suffocating Donald Trump and then insisted that his threat was to be taken literally. Michael Moore declared that he wanted the disruption of the inauguration and said, “There should be no peaceful transition.”

Those are a handful of the many expressed wishes of public figures who have some influence or are seeking influence over the public encouraging violence, murder, rape, and mayhem in America.  That is what I mean by the blackness of the soul.  I opposed Barack Obama from day one and detested much of what he did but I did not call for his death or wish harm on his family.  I realized and realize that God sets up kings and takes them down.  Although we do not have a king in America there is the ever-growing danger of tyranny and the larger and more powerful the government grows the less free the citizens are.  AMERICA can only be the land of the free so long as the brave are willing to confront this kind of evil in the civil means available.  We must become intercessors for America and we do not have the luxury of being political spectators.  We must confront the lies with truth and confront the hate with love.  THAT IS GOING TO BE A DIFFICULT ROAD but a necessary one.

IT’S A MAD, MAD, MAD, MAD WORLD…


BLOG POST 6 - Mad Mad Mad World

I know that is the title of a movie of some years ago and the slapstick comedy was hilarious and ridiculous.  The madness of our present world is anything but funny and is assuredly not a comedy, it is a life or death struggle for many.  There are times when it is impossible to determine who the players are and what team they are playing on with the ever-evolving positions politicians take.  Determining the position of the Hollywood types is not that difficult because, for the most part, they are liberal leftists.  The MSM are easy to identify because other than a handful of outlets or voices they are also super liberal leftists.  The Democrats are easy because regardless of what their constituency desires they vote and voice in harmony with the Establishment of their Party and Vote Far Left with incredible consistency.  The Republicans and Libertarians are less easily identified because they fluctuate from issue to issue and day to day.  Let me backtrack on that statement and say those of the ilk of John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Olympia Snow and the RINO, self-serving liberals of the Republican Party are Trump Haters of the highest order and may exceed the hatred of the Democrats.

Watching Congress, the MSM, Hollywood, Entertainers, Climate Change Activist, and Terrorist clearly reveals that our world has gone completely mad.  My Dad called it “Horse Sense” and if he was alive today he would be fully convinced that Washington is totally devoid of sense and the only part of a horse being exhibited is the South end of a Northbound one.  We had eight years of ‘fundamental transformation’ or ‘fundamental dismantling’ of America and when a President assumes power who is willing to tackle some of those issues and revoke the actions of destruction he is deemed Lucifer incarnate and a danger or menace to society.  When the President calls out those free-loaders in NATO who are not carrying their load, he is deemed an enemy to peace and a shill for Russia.  When the President pulls out of the Paris Accord, an agreement that was not constitutionally entered into with Congressional consent he is a denier, a flat earth society member, a hater of people, and an enemy of the environment.  The agreement was bad for America and bad for the world and based on faux science, not genuine provable data.  Even some liberal scientist has consented that our pulling out will not have any appreciable effect on ‘global warming’ or ‘climate change.”  I contend it will have none because of man’s involvement in the problem if there is one, is minimal.  However, the haters will continue to hate and look for anything to bring discredit to the president.

Hillary Clinton cannot cease blaming everything under the sun for her losing the election except herself, the previous eight years under Barack Obama, and the policies and positions of the Democrats.  Heaven forbid that she and the Left should acknowledge this was a rejection by the American people, not the Russian Federation.  Even James Clapper and every other person with information acknowledge there is no evidence of collusion with the Russians or that the Russians actually affected the outcome of the election.  I am not sure that we will ever get to the bottom of the hacking or the many potential players involved and there is certainly no definitive evidence and very little circumstantial possibilities that any of them were aligned with the Trump Team trying to defeat Hillary.  The Russian Leader, Putin wanted to pay Hillary back for her involvement in trying to defeat him and he was unconcerned about who her opponent was.  The investment of Hillary and her people in Russian dealings are matters that should raise eyebrows but since she lost the idea is, “nothing to see here, move on.” 

It seems in America today we are more concerned about the feelings of Muslims and Islamic Terrorist than the lives of unborn babies.  We are more concerned with the plight and flight of refugees and those seeking to come to America, legally and illegally than we are protecting American citizens.  We have an economy that has been decimated by Democrat policies and the attempts to rectify it are deemed actions to enrich the rich and harm the poor.  The Left will never acknowledge that if we fix the terrible tax code, remove regulations that are stifling the ability of business small and large to expand, secure our borders, deal with Obamacare positively, and have a strong military to enhance our ability to have a strong foreign policy we will better America.  Horse Sense, as my Dad called it, is too logical and rational so we must pursue the inane diatribe and rhetoric that is spilling into the streets and pushing us to the brink of anarchy.  That should concern every American.  We didn’t take to the streets under Obama.  Sadly, Republicans stayed home in the 2008 and 2012 elections and allowed Barack Obama to ascend to the Presidency and do the damage he has done.  In 2016 many Republicans decided they would rather continue that destruction than support Donald Trump and amazingly he still won.  Some have called the assertion that this was the result of prayer and the presence of God’s hand is apostasy.  I believe the Bible when it says that God sets up kings and takes them down.  Yes, I believe that God allowed Barack Obama to become president due to the apathy and attitude of America.  I also believe that He heard the prayers of the millions who cried out, “Enough!” 

We live in a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World and the only solution is to engage in Horse Sense and Prayer.  We can see the Republic restored and protected from the ravages of the Liberal Leftist.  We cannot achieve that objective through apathy, passivity, or failure to become involved.  America needs her Patriots today as much as ever.  WILL YOU STEP FORWARD FOR AMERICA?
